    • Acre1076

      Look at this

    • Ronicat

Thanks for posting the list!  Some really good coupons this weekend to look forward to…Might have to get a few more papers than usual…

    • Tngolfgoddess2011

Think im gonna print this off, maybe it will help with my memory as to what I have, still trying to get this show working.  wish we had chat rooms lol

      • meme

If you noticed, Jenny also post what coupons were in some of the papers (noting the variations, etc.) You could wait to print when that list is posted.

If there are some really good coupons I want to use right away I go ahead and print the list and just check which ones are included, strike through the ones not included, and write in to the side (in alphabetical order) the ones that are different. It's not as pretty that way, but it is very helpful to have the list.

    • Angeline4483

southernsavers you are such a help to me!!!

    • Latroshia Bostic

I absolutely enjoy reading this site! Keep it coming!

    • Awesome, I can't wait to get the paper this sunday!!

    • I posted this in Coupon Traders too but…
I have two coupons for Similac SImplePac large size powder (1.37 lb or larger) $3 off one.  Exp 5/31

Not wanting any coupon in return… just want someone to be able to use these.  Formula is expensive.

      • We use Similac (and miraculously haven't had to start selling body parts yet to pay for it- thanks Commissary!), so if no one has taken you up on your coupon offer, I would love to have them! :)

        • Email me with your address and I will get them in the mail to you…I wish we had a commissary near us…My husband is Air National Guard.  My email is michellecdavison gmail.com

        • I thought I had responded…sorry.
Email me at michellecdavison@gmail.com with your address and I will get them in the mail to you.

      • Mrslatham0915

If you still have those coupons I would love to take them off your hands!!!  That is the only formula my daughters will drink!  :)  Anything for trade??

    • Last week in the Charlotte Observer they had a card insert for the Sunday paper at half the price of the rack. $1 per issue. Pretty nifty considering I'd been paying $2 per Sunday issue. And I don't have to leave my house!

      • Gemrough

Yea but i tried calling 3 times to get the paper and never got them ordered….. They said they would call me back each time and never did. I tried 3 different addresses and they could not find any of them….. Not too sure about them.

    • Srgordon

Last week someone posted Hickory daily Record sell the coupon inserts I emailed the circulation manager and she said they didn't, just fyi

    • Layne B

I checked out the website you mentioned above for discounted papers and it offers the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for $9.33/month if you do a 3-month subscription or $11.99/month if you just pay month to month, and all subscriptions increase to $12.65/month after initial subscription period.  I can go to the store and buy a Sunday paper for $2, which assuming there  are 4 Sundays in a month is only $8.  Am I missing something?

      • Not all papers are cheaper to have home delivery. I worked for a NP for years and we always charged a “convenience” fee to pay out delivery people. I would wait until you can get it at least half off the rack for it to be worth it.

        • RuthSmartShopper2011

@Elicia Kiker – I'm knew to the newspapers. How does one get the paper half off the rack? Is it discounted later in the day on Sundays?

          • Suzanne

I get mine at Dollar Tree for only $1, first thing on Sunday morning.

          • tygirl13

I think she meant not do to home delivery unless you can get it for 1/2 of the regular “rack” sales price.

      • Ckkgabriel

You can get the early version of the Sunday paper on Saturday from a street vendor for $1.00 and it has all of the coupons, too.

        • Rudy6

Did you mean that Saturday paper has coupons too?

      • DGgirl09

I buy mine at Publix on Monday for 99 cents!

    • sskat

I'm fairly new to couponing, and this is the site I always visit first for the latest coupon info. Thank you!

    • JMG1983

Has anyone used the Discounted Newspapers service and had a good experience?  Just want to make sure it's reliable…

      • Rh2832

Don't do it! I signed up for 4 and I have been REPEATEDLY recieving 2 Sunday papers. Also, some of the inserts are missing. Girl, just go to Dollar Tree.

        • Donna_davis02

          Dollar Tree sells the paper?

      • JessB

Don't do it! They messed up my address and someone else received my paper for weeks. They didn't get it right even after the address correction, and did not refund my past unreceived papers.

      • 6quivers

I signed up last week and only had to pay $1/week for the year for Sunday paper only and my paper came today like it was supposed to and both inserts were there.  So I would say it was a good investment.

    • wendyc33

I hate those 1.25/3 items coupons. You cant save when your buying 3 of them. Also I went to my local winn dixie yesterday, and they had edge shave gel and gillette shave gel clearanced to .80 each., and i see more shaving cream for me with that edge coupon. they also had clearanced hair coloring some down to 1.25 a box for clairol coloring. I bought a natural instincts box for that, and used a 3.00/1 coupon yesterday to get some overage since winn dixie allows it. Although i went through the self checkout line, it did beep, but the cashier saw it was the right kind and sent it through.

      • tygirl13

Winn Dixie also has a catalina for $3 oyno if you buy two of the Nice N Easy.  My WD had those marked down as well.  I made $5 off of them.

    • Amy

Is it just me or does it seem like the coupon values are decreasing???

      • tygirl13

I have a feeling it has something to do with the TLC show.  Manufactures usually put out tons of coupons not expecting most of them to be used.  Is it awful to say that I hope the couponing craze is just a phase?  I get slightly irritated when I go to the store w/ my binder and someone says something about Extreme Couponers.  I want to say,”I was doing this way before it was popular.”

    • Tera

Just found out that my paper, the Gainesville Sun (Gainesville, Fl), includes more inserts for people who receive home delivery! Anyone else experience this??  I usually buy 4 papers at a near by gas station on Sunday morning and couldn't figure out why none of mine included the Redplum insert one week that my mom received in her delivered paper, contacted them yesterday and they confirmed that she got it because of delivery.  Not fair considering I pay just as much for my paper as she does for hers!

    • If we get the coupons here that I was gonna get at the store today, I may just wait til Sunday & get those Toaster Strudel & sugar coupons.

    • Mjm2367

I have a can of Enfamil Premium that was sent to me (grandmother) by mistake.  Can anyone use it.  We are near Augusta.  I hate to destroy it.

      • Suzanne

Send me your email address and I'll send you my son's address. That is what they use!!    My email address is:   szzq3@aol:disqus .com
         Thank you!!

      • Suzanne

        Should be szzq3@aol.com

      • shops2much

why would you even think of destroying it? Donate.

    • I am having problems find coupons especially manufactuers.

      • Saltinsc

I buy coupons at thecouponclippers.com. You pay like eight cents to fifteen cents each and you can pick exactly which coupons you want (as long as they have them). At the end of your order they tell you how much you will save if you use them all and how much they will save you if they are doubled. I buy around thirteen dollars in coupons and they are worth between $128 and $258. I love it! I don’t clip!

    • Eeyore81njp

I just have a random question, if I have a coupon for $2 off an item when you buy 2..can I use that with BOGO items?

      • Peppersuperstar

At Publix you can, but you may need to check other store's coupon policies.

      • Linnette37

Food Lion, Publix and Bi-lo's  you can use the coupon

      • Mommyof3

        Yes you can :)

      • Sweetenfamilyof4

You can at Kroger as well

      • Dwash00

yes you can use the one coupon because you are buying 2 of the product even if it is BOGO

    • Elizabeth

Anybody in Knoxville know if the Sentinel will sell leftover Sunday papers?

      • Csharp119

Elizabeth, I called the Sentinel and they will not sell the leftover papers. The lady I spoke with stated that they get audited several times a year and have to account for each of the papers. They offered me a deal of 5 papers every Sunday for $21 per month. It's a 53% savings. Got my first 5 last sunday.

        • Elizabeth

Thanks for the info! I will see if I can get that deal also!

    • Saltinsc

I just don't get it. I WANT to be an extreme couponer but don't know the details of how to do it. Why doesn't anyone explain COMPLETELY and in detail how they do it?!

      • Esingleton23

Honestly, you have to match store SALES with store COUPONS and stack those with Manufacturer COUPONS to maximize savings. You can save 75-95 percent but don't beat yourself up if you save 45-65 percent at first. I only started couponing 3 weeks ago and my expectations of myself are high but I'm saving 65-75 consistantly which it a far cry from the way I was shopping. I used to go to CostCo and spend 300-400 dollars. I could shoot myself! lol but at least I'm enlightened now! Yay!

      • shops2much

It is important to know the stores Coupon Policy, look for Catalina/ Rebate deals, print on line coupons and remember that different stores are more or less coupon friendly and buy MULTIPLES when they are the lowest price with coupons. Don't be too shy to write manufactures and ask for coupons…Write them and tell them, I would like to try your product but I am on a tight budget  or whatever and they might send you some samples or coupons.

      • Hottestcouponer

some got and some dont– you just have to have a natural knack!

      • Dvalladares71

stick to it.  you'll get it

      • tinajo650

Because if they did that they would be writing you a book.

      • tygirl13

I takes work.  It is not an easy overnight process.  This is an excellent site.  Read all of her stuff on “learn to coupon” and pay attention to comments people leave.  Comments from other couponers is where I have learned the most.

A lot of people are watching TLC and getting the impression that this is an easy thing to do and EVERY shopping trip is like the ones on the show.  If you pay attention, even the “Extreme couponers” often say, “this is the biggest transaction I've ever done”.  TLC is hyping it up (as they should).  They are after all in the business of making entertaining TV shows.

    • Renee

Does anyone know if there are or will be any workshops in Kentucky…need to understand all the ins and outs of extreme couponing.

    • camile

this is by far the best website i have found for couponing! thanks jenny!!

    • DGgirl09

I'm very excited for the $1 Zest barsoap coupon. I can get it for free from the clearance section at Dollar General!

    • Cayoung_8

I used to print off my city from the insert variatons list (I get the AJC) but noticed that I still had a variation from that list.  What is that about?  I live about 60 miles north of atlanta and get the Sunday AJC in Hall County but a lot of times it still doesn't match the AJC list.  I had to start typing my own list.  Anyone know why 2 ppl can buy the same paper and still get different coupons?

    • Dvalladares71

i just started couponing and this website has been my mentor. thanks so much for all the hard work that must go into it.

    • Amber29651

Saltinsc go to one of here workshop!!! She was generous enough to start this website and is doing workshops! Find one in your area and take advantage!!! Thanks Jenny for all you do, you are AWESOME!!!!

    • Barry

In the Tennessean the Bone coupons was actually $1.00/1

      • Amm6300

Didn't get my Smartsource in the Tennessean. Did you?

        • mistyhurt

I didn't get a Red Plum i kine, but got 2 Smart Source. I'm going to have to just subscribe.

        • Barry

          I did

    • Did get my Sunday paper delivered to me today, and all of the pay boxes are sold out… This don't help me for my weekly coupon match ups… This is in the City limits of Taylorsville,NC

      • Aljonzee

Which matchups are you trying to do that you cannot find the coupons for??

    • Aljonzee

One of the things I find difficult to understand is how do you know your region when other sales are shared within the blogs?  When I go into the stores and talk about an advertised or unadvertised special I get these looks that are more questionable then mine.  My favorite comment is where did you read this at,
Long story short are the deals for Georgia and North Carolina the same region?  TIA

    • Emlives4Jesus

my Montgomery Advertiser did not have a Smart Source in it this morning. :(

    • Clockadale

since there are so many super couponers in my area, can someone tell me the lowest price week in the cycle of Publix in Arlington (Jacksonville, Florida) ?  That would save me a lot of time jotting down prices on various products each week!   thank you!!!

      • lalawillis

I am FUMING about this! I bought 10 papers today….and like you said NO SMARTSOURCE! The thing is…it says on the front top right page that there are $63 in coupons inside-but the redplum insert only has $17 worth of coupons! Something is not right with this. I understand that coupons and and amounts vart from city  to city or state to state, but I thought that the types of inserts were all the same. I will be complaining to someone tomorrow.

    • Pamwil88

Has anybody had problems with coupons at Dollar General?

    • Pam

Publix had a five dollar gift card offer in the Smart Source section of the coupons that was in the Atlanta Journal. In order to receive it, you must buy $20 worth of Scott, Windex, Pledge, Scrubbing Bubbles, or fantastik brand products in one Publix shopping trip.

    • Patsywaites

Were can i find a coupon for the $1.25/3 Ragu pasta sauce?
The one in my Red Plum was for  Ragu .60/2 any pasta sauce (ex. 6/19/11)Please help. Thanks Patsy

      • The coupons vary from area to area.  My Ragu coupon was for .75/2. It sucks, but that's the way it goes sometimes. :-

    • Heavenlycoupons

      • Heavenlycoupons

***OOPS*** Smart Source Inserts….guess my 'missing coupon'  rant ran it all together lol

        • Laurel

I am not happy either! I live in Alabama and also bought MULTIPLE papers for only red plum inserts! The redplum insert only has $17 worth of coupons and the front of my advertiser clearly states that there are $63 worth of coupons inside–so they clearly left them out…I emailed them and am waiting for a reply—they better reply! What is the point of spending over $20 on papers for coupons to SAVE when they are not even in there! AGHHHHHHH!

          • Cuddlebear38801

I got two papers & only got SS.  Was really needing some of the coupons in the RP this week. VERY disappointed.  :( grrrrrrrrrrr

          • patty

i had the same problem with the montgomery advertiser and i called them.  stephanie told me that they put the coupons in the home delivery papers and if there are leftover, they go into the papers sold elsewhere.   they are working on changing the the notice that states the amount of coupons inside, which i think is a good idea.  it's not fair when we buy additional papers and there are no coupons!!!!

    • CindyB

I got 4 papers today (I usually only get two but I thought there would be some good deals coming up).  Got the SS and RP in all the papers, but one of the papers had 3 SS instead of 1. I guess they aren't always careful when adding the inserts and I'm glad this time the error was in my favor, though in the future it may be the opposite.

Anyway, I'll have a lot of cutting to do tomorrow and this month the troops I send coupons to will have many extras!

    • Clineleann

I bought 2 newspapers today and only one had a Red Plum…, i got screwed :(

      • Naomi

I learned this the hard way, too. Always check! & check what coupons you actually get, before you buy 4 hoping to get a specific one for an item you use a lot and not get it – like what happened to me this week. I was so glad I looked & decided to buy 2 instead of 4.

    • Eeyore81njp

What is a good website to print coupons? I'm looking for deals on sodas and juices

    • I live in East Tennessee, and I was wondering what paper everyone else in the area  buys on Sunday. I usually go for the Knoxville News Sentinel. But the dang thing is $2 a pop. I tried heading to our local Dollar Tree to see if they had any Sunday papers– no such luck. I've been afraid to buy “off-brand” (lol) papers because I didn't think they would have all the coupons in them. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Blount County “The Daily Times” newspaper had both coupon inserts and was 50¢ cheaper! I did notice that I only got one pair of Wonka chocolate coupons out of all 4 papers, so I'm guessing that it was tucked into one of my Knoxville News Sentinel coupons inserts (my husband bought me that paper, and I went out to buy the three other papers.) Other than that one coupon, I didn't notice any difference. Now I do know that couple weeks back I was looking for an extra paper to get a couple really good coupons, and I went to pick up the Chattanooga paper (Chattanooga Times?) and it was a missing at least one coupon insert. I think part of that could just be people taking them or something. But I'm still leery of it. Is there any way to tell which papers get which inserts in them? I know that there is a master coupon insert schedule. But how can we tell which papers carry them? I can handle the differences in coupons by region. I just don't want to buy a different paper on June 5th and not get all three inserts, ya know?

    • Ankvillarreal0908

Hi i was wondering if anybody was willing to send me the coupon in redplum for the. Bar s hot dogs, 1$ off 2 packs of hotdogs, my local syore is having a sell 2 for 1, & my lil grls party is coming up & i pln to make hotdogd for it. So this would be a great deal for me. Please let me knoH

    • Brette

I completely forgot to buy a newspaper yesterday while I was out – does anyone know where I can get a paper today in Wilmington, NC?

      • Leahlpage

You can call the actual newspaper.  Sometimes they have leftovers sitting around the office.

Huntsville Times i only got Red Plum and usually Red Plum inserts for this area are not much. If I had to miss a insert I would rather it be the Red Plum not Smart Source. I will have to try and call up there.

Do you subscribe for home delivery? None of the papers in the gas stations had any coupons at all on Sunday (not for the last 2 weeks!)

I got both inserts in my HSV Times on Sunday.  If you call the paper, I think they'll send you copies, since one was missing.

      Coupons RULE!
And what is even better? They are flexible, even when they say they aren't.
Yesterday in the newspaper we had a coupon for Suave. I think there were 3 differen coupons for Suave…

.50/2 Suave Men’s hair care (exp 6/19).50/2 Suave Professionals Dry shampoo or stylant (exp 6/19).50/2 Suave Professionals shampoo or conditioner (exp 6/19)

Now on the average coupon there are numbers below the barcode. Example:

      5   66878  61776   9 (the 5 is before he barcode and the 9 is after it)…

I have learned, and I have proven it to myself on several different items, that as long as the first five numbers IN the barcode are the same as the product you are buying, the coupon will work.

SouthernSavers, alerted me to the Harris Teeter Triple deal that was available today, with the Suave coupon. So my Harris Teeter had the generic, run of the mill, Suave shampoo and conditioner on sale for $.89. And even through, all the coupons above were for specific Suave products (ie Men's, Professionals Dry, etc) they all had the same first 5 digits in their barcode. And when I looked at the shelf in the store, all of the Suave shampoo/conditioner products had the same first 5 digits.

So I went to the checkout with 6 regular Suave shampoos. And I had one each of the above coupons. And the coupons went through the register, they were all tripled, and I got all of my shampoos for $.14 cents each.

I've proven this theory on Ball Park hotdog, Glad trash bags, and Oscar Meyer lunchables. And each time the grocery store register recognizes that I am buying the correct NAME BRAND and doesn't limit me to the only the item specified.

In regards to BeckyInCharlotte; while this will work and the re, it is a case of the cashier NOT checking the coupon to the right product and just sliding it through.    As a rule cashiers are told to make sure the coupon matches the product, obviously someone not doing their job correctly and you knowingly cheating the system.

ok i know there are variations depending on areas but i am i missing the really good ones.. i got 4 papers like i do every week and i checked all 4 papers to make sure it had both SS and RP and they did but the coupons i was looking forward to werent in it! not any of the 4! wheres a good place online to buy coupons at?

I had the same issue!  I was missing SO MANY, and they were all the good one.  No Ivory Soap, no Suave, no caress, no ragu — all the ones I would've really gotten some use out of!  I went to buy a full insert online, but is was sold out already.  I am kinda PO'd.  I could have used those on some great deals this week.

Oh my gosh i have GOT to try that!  Feels a little dishonest though, I wonder if the store's are reimbursed by the manufacturer?  I'm trying it anyway!

    • I am new to couponing and I am wondering how many newspapers on average should I buy every sunday?

      • Dezigriffin

You should always buy at least 2 papers

I am in california – Does any one know of any blogs like this for my area – I only have walmart, knob hill & smart& final in my area.  Seeing all these great deals and grocery stores not local to me is killing me :(
