What a great idea. It took me two seconds online. I am buried in papers, magazines, and coupons so I gave myself a 10 day stop on the paper. Maybe I can get caught up!!

    • Carrie

      Thanks for reminding us!

    • April

Will there still be a Publix ad with the penny item? If so, it is usually worth buying the paper just for that coupon.

    • Candice

Ok My sister is so excited about this site, and she has passed the excitment onto me. However, I am not sure I understand.
I have read the getting started articles, and I am understanding the jist of it, but the home page and this below still boggles me.
How are you getting the .64cents?
Here is my math – where am I going wrong
      Kraft Singles $2.20
      coupon $1 off 2.
      so now I have $2.29 + $2.29 – $1.00 == I get $3.58
and subtract another dollart, I get $2.58 for 2. which is $1.26 per package.
HELP what am I doing wrong?

Kraft American Cheese Singles at $2.29
-$1/2 Kraft Singles printable (makes it .64¢ ea)
-$1 off any Kraft 2% Cheese printable (if included) (thanks Mony!)

    • Kareen

If the item you are talking about is at PUBLIX, you get both for the price of 2.29 (about 1.15 each)…so that means that 1/2 coupon will allow you to get 2 packs of the cheese for 1.29 (divide that number by 2) which works out to about .64cents each… Hope that helps…just remember..whatever store you are looking at, Jenny always lists what their policy is regarding B1G1 and coupons before she lists the sale items!! Good luck!

    • Stefanie

Right, if the items are under the b1g1 category, then each one rings up 1/2 price. That way you are able to either use a $1/2 q or 2 actual coupons. HTH!

    • Laura

My Publix gives everyone the penny item whether you have the Q or not. Not sure if this is normal but you could go in for the item (assuming you even want it) and then if they don’t give it to you for a penny- grab a paper at that point.

    • Amy

Kennerly Road Publix – you must submit the 1 penny coupon to get the item! Didn’t used to be that way .. but times are changing!

    • Kristina from Kennesaw

If I forget to bring my coupon in, I just ask the cashier and they’ll usually say they have extras and will put in in for you. Or you could try asking the customer sevice desk when you first get there. But some stores are changing their policy on this, so if you think your store might be changing policies, just ask when you first get to the store. Hope this helps! :)

Candice, the Kraft singles are B1G1 for 2.29 (you get 2 for 2.29!)
      -1.00 (coupon on 2)=
      1.29 / 2 (you bought 2)=
      .64 each!!!

      Hope this helps!

    • Candice

      Thanks for all the help.
I get it now. and boy oh boy am I excited about this.
Its going to be my new obesssion.
Of course the week I pick to start, the paper wont have the inserts. But Im getting ready.
I just ordered the all you magazine.
My toner was out in my printer, I got that, so now I can print the coupons.
Tomorrow I will organize and label my folders.
Thanks again for all your help.

most of the time, my publix has the ads with the penny coupon at the front of the store…
i dont check it every week, so not sure if it’s a regular thing – but never hurts to look!

wish i had read this at 10:30 this morning, damn $2 wasted. I should remember that the Saturday edition and Sunday edition wont be bundled for 2 for 1, when there are no coupons. That’s the second time I wasted money! Why dont I read your postings first? Why Why Why
