    • racecitymom

beginning to wonder if we will ever get a good week of coupons again…..?

    • Anniescott114

I guess this week is better than last (maybe) but its stll getting sad…my family can't eat razors and tampons and it seems like thats all we get every week.

      • Sdgfxd

LOL Annie, you just totally made my day with that comment. I needed that :)

      • Birgit Gilbert

I agree, no food coupons. I won't even buy a paper this week and I didn't really need last weeks.

      • Brat214918

That is so funny! I am just now getting into this just to c what it's like.  Just the little I did last night, I can c where people can save a lot!   If there r any tips that can help, please let me know. :) Thanks.. Barbara

      • Ipledge123

mmmmmm… razor and tampon casserole my fave lol

        • susan

don't add sharp cheddar cheese, i'm sure the razors will be sharp enough! LOL

        • Esingleton23

LOL! That DOES sound tasty!!! Need some Barbe-Q-sauce? I have plenty, really, trust me :)

        • Sanmaxsie

That is hilarious….I am feeling the same way…the last few weeks the coupons have been so boring and nothing exciting! After watching Extreme Couponing today, I am determined to hang in there!!  Love all the postings…really cracking me up!

      • JTTLC

Okay…that was the laugh I needed…..chewing on a tampon for supper!!!  I wish I did NOT EVEN have to buy tampons!  But you are right……sure wish there was some more food coupons as I have all the soap and non food items that I need.

        • radiomom

So funny! Just remember though, if you dont have to buy tampons-you are either pregnant or in menopause! :):):):):):):):):)

    • Jaime

Glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking the coupons are not that great lately!  It seems to be the same stuff over and over again and it's not stuff I need :(

    • Dawnsfreebies

these seem like the same coupons that I just got 2 or 3 weeks ago!  I wish that they could change it up a little!!

    • Susanmc

      Finally some Miracle Whip!

    • I think we;re just seeing another variation of coupon cycles. Right now a lot of people aren't eating at home. They are eating more fresh foods since it's summer. so not as many coupons for things. The “good” coupons will be back again in August, I bet.

    • realist

I'm betting the Greenville News in SC and the Anderson Independent inserts will NOT have the Oscar Mayer or Nabisco coupons.

      • Squirrelhater

        Yeah,Greenville's been awful lately..but before recenly,Sptbg.had dropped off some.What to try next?Charlotte?

    • Ardnasfu82

Looking at this list- starting to get an idea of what I'll hope to use during Super Doubles at Harris Teeter next week!!

      • Ss

i have a harris teeter nearby but never really shopped there ( i moved recently and am still exploring) ..care to share what super double week is about? thanks!

        • Angelascoupons1

Super doubles is when HT will double coupons that are $1 – $1.98.  Normally, these value coupons will not double.  There are a lot of $1 and $1.50 coupons out there that will double…so it is a big deal!

          • scshopper

Can you please, tell me  if they  are pretty  well stocked up on the items?  It's  a long  drive  for me to get  to the closest HT  and I am just  wondering  if it's  worth  it (or  if  it's  just  like in  Publix, all great  deals  are gone  couples  of  hours into  the  sale)  Thanks

            • Dairy Fairy

I work at Teeter and at our store we order a few months' worth of coupon items for super doubles.  Sometimes we make it a few days…sometimes we get stuck with it for a month…lol   Although, some stores are better prepared than others.  :)

            • newbie

The few times I've gone, most of the coupon stuff is gone right away.  It isn't worth my longer drive, so probably not worth it for you, either.

            • Jamie

at my HT if you dont get there at 7 when they open on wed morning all the free or cheap stuff is gone. Ive been there at 815 & the shelves are cleaned

      • Michelle Dean

What is the coupon policy/secret to Harris Teeter.  I seem to get a great deal but feel I am still missing something.  I am new to couponing (only 1-2 months) and am learning stuff all the time.  Thank you,

    • Srgordon

I get most of my food coupons from the internet

      • Haustin5

what sights if you dont mind me asking?

    • Alleycat2

I'm debating on not even buying a Sunday paper this week.  I guess I will look before I buy!

    • couponeagle11

if you subscribe to the paper can you have them hold off when you know the coupons are awful

      • Asmith

        vacation hold

    • Gina25

Again, the coming week's coupons stink!

    • Christipie

Disappointed!!  Glad we get printable coupons!!

    • Diannaspivia

Until they get better I guess I won't be buying another paper. Now alot of the time you have to buy 2 to get to use the coupon. That stinks!

    • windy

I'm excited about the Tom's of Maine Qs and the Meow Mix.  That $3 Pantene Q will make for a good deal on shampoo too.  I hope they're in MY paper!  (:  Thanks for the heads up Jenny!

    • Janette

Is it normal to not get any redplum in the paper.  Some weeks I get none.

      • Melissa

Some weeks there is just a SmartSource.  Not a RedPlum every single week.  And during some holiday weekends, there are no inserts – FYI.

        • Caradonato

There is a link on this site that tells you a week by week breakdown of which inserts will be added each week. It has the entire year listed.

        • Eric S.

The last two weeks, I get the red plum with my home delivery paper, but not when I bought an extra one. I dont understand. Does anyone know about this?????

          • Unacutie

I called my paper about this they said they only get a certain number of inserts and they go in the home delivery ones first. Some times they run out so not all papers will have them.

      • Leslie

I never get Redplum in the Sunday paper where I live..but I do get Redplum coupons every Tuesday in the mail.

      • Senoia mom

It can depend on where you buy your paper. I have the same problem. I don't always get all of the inserts that are posted in my AJC, unless I drive 12 miles to the next county to buy it.( and they do not come in the mail for me either. ) heavier populated areas seem to get the most coupons.

        • Steph Patterson

You can buy Atlanta Journal inserts from koupon-kash dot com.

          • Asdenc

Thanks for the info.. I just ordered several inserts cheaper than if I buy a paper..My paper doesnt always have the best inserts so its great to still be able to get them.

          • kristina

Have you ordered from them without problems?

      • Buy the newspaper from the largest city available in your area.  You'll find more coupons in there.

    • Janette

How long did it take most of you to start getting great deals

      • Mommyof2

It took me about two weeks and probably $30 out of pocket… but now I have register rewards and extra care bucks built up, so now everything is pretty close to being free!

        • About the same here. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Couponing isn't easy. I mean, it sounds easy…a store has a deal, you have a coupon…big whoop. And I guess if you were only interested in one deal a week, it would be easy. But for serious couponers, there's a learning curve. But if you take your time and build up slowly – you won't make many mistakes and it starts to become second nature.

The big thing you need to focus early on when couponing – is get organized! It's going to be different for everyone, but there are SO MANY deals to be had each week at all the stores in your area that you need to stay organized or you'll make mistakes, misplace coupons, miss out on deals, or let “rewards bucks” expire. I think I did all of those in my first 6 weeks!I know the “couponing world” has changed a lot in the last few months, due in part to shows like Extreme Couponing, but I still think there are great deals available for those who do the work. The business model is still sound.

        • Trudy2301

I am new at this and we just got a CVS, this is probably a silly question, but are the extra care bucks to be used for the same item again, or just money toward next purchase.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

I'd say I started getting great deals immediately, however, it does take a couple of weeks to see an overall drop in your bill due to the fact that you are building your coupon base and you might be buying some things in a given week that you wouldn't have due to the sale and still having to buy things that you need that is not on sale/you don't have a coupon for.

      • It took me about 3 months to realize that coupon clipping is not worth doing unless I'm going to be on a budget.  I was so happy clipping coupons, that we were not really saving money.  I was putting the same amount of money into our grocery shopping.  I was getting a whole lot more, but I wasn't saving money, which is my reason for coupon clipping.  I'm currently working on trying to set a budget for our weekly spending along with clipping my coupons.  Hopefully, that will help us save.

        • amg4pluskids

That's the way that I have looked at couponing, I still spend the same amount as we were, just trying to stockpile a little here and a little there.  Most of all I have made a list of what we have saved during this process and it is working just not like the Extreme Couponers on the television.

        • Puckheadmark

this is an excellent post. i noticed the same thing. you get so excited at all the deals that you are actually spending more money. we realized that and are working on keeping our trips to a minimum because each trip inevitably you will find a deal that you werent planning on so even if you find something normally for $4 and you only pay $1, those things add up because hey, lets face it, who can pass up a great deal??

    • Janette

My local paper is going to start selling sunday coupons for 1 dollar on Monday.  Is this a good idea to buy them.

      • renee

i have heard from the savvy shopper who writes a column in the savannah morning news that it is illegal for them to sell the inserts. they are to be shredded.

        • Denise

I am not sure about Savannah but in Charleston SC you can purrchase the insides for lack of another word (all sales papers and the coupons) for $1. you can only do this if you have home delivery of a regular paper and you must order in adavance and get the same amount every week.

      • map

yes it is ours is regular price the entire next week

      • Walgreens sells the entire paper on sunday for 99cents

    • JWTN

The playtex coupon should make for a good deal next week at Wags! Thanks Jenny!

      • MrsVeronicaR

Just curious, how do you know? And how does Jenny know what coupons are going to be coming out for the next week?

    • gwhiz

what happened to all the food coupons? :(

      • Vkostyal

Oh I know???  Not alot here :(

    • Jo R

Wow- they continue to get worse! :)

    • Luissanelly

Think I'll only be buying 5 papers instead of the 13 I usually get. This is ridiculous

      • Dee

oh good – eight other people will have a chance for the paper for a change

        • Beccabaran84

Ok that was rude. Do you know how many news papers do not get purchased and then thrown out every day? Including Sunday? There is no room for rudeness on here.

          • Puckheadmark

and do you know how many people plan a trip to save in a populated area and get to the store and find it gutted by someone who needed 34 bottles of hot sauce so i cant get one or 2??   i dont think it was that rude of a comment.  it makes the point well enough

            • Syndilew

I live in a town that only Publix carries the AJC and the paper is cleared out by 7:10AM.  I live 45 minutes away and have to call before going and most of the time the paper is gone.  I wish that Publix would set a limit on the paper.  I should not have to fight someone that is buying 13 newspapers so that I can get one.  ONE!!  That is all that I buy and can't seem to even get that.  Who has time to get up every Sunday morning like it is Black Friday and wait in line for a newspaper.  It is getting really crazy and I really think that people are horading way too much crap!!!!

            • Kristen

Why not just subscribe to the paper and don't have the hastle?  You'll also save gas as well- seems like a win- win to me:)

            • We can buy Sunday papers on Saturday, and I never have an issue finding papers in Smryna.

            • Sam

Seriously????  Honey, calm down and sign up for a coupon clipping service…. no need to blow a gasket.  You're choosing to live out in the middle of nowhere.  You get a lot of benefits out of that, but everything comes at a cost.  Take a deep breath and enjoy your surroundings.

          • Mustangof5

I agree there are tons of papers not purchased. If she wants to buy twenty then more power to her. I have 7 children and we buy 5 or 6 papers and what coupons I do not use I will leave on the shelf for someone else to use. The rule of thumb is 1 paper for every one person in your household so I should buy 9 papers but I can only afford 5 or 6 at most. There are also weeks I only buy 1 or 2 depending on the coupons in the paper. I think people should not jump to conclusions and how do you know she is not couponing to help out her church or the less fortunate. We should be helping each oher save money not competing against each other.

        • That was pretty rude – you don't know her family size or how many people she is helping. Every single comment you've posted to this site is full of complaints, rudeness and negativity. I think maybe you need to step back and re-evaluate how seriously you're judging others.

          • Cori C.

Well, 13 people didn't like her comment for nothing…she made a pretty good point and I understand her frustration. I myself have resorted to buying the early edition on Saturday night or get a local convenience store owner to save a paper for me because they are sold out by Sunday morning. My local Publix told me they are always sold out because people are coming in and buying 10+ at a time. People need to realize that when stuff is on sale, it is not the last sale ever. A couple of coupons should do until the next cycle.

            • Whether 13 people liked it not isn't the point – the point is you don't know anything about her – she could go to multiple stores for all you know. This place is becoming pretty unfriendly lately with all of the judging and rudeness and it's not needed.

          • Tanya

That's not rude… it's true!  I have been coupon shoper for 13 years, only in the last 2 years has it been a fight to get the sale items.  People need to back off and use there brain and take what the need and leave some for others!

            • Judging someone you know NOTHING about IS rude.

You are ASSUMING she is preventing others from getting deals – how do you know that?

I get 40-60 inserts a week because my neighbors give me theirs and I have never, ever cleared a shelf. If I need more than 4 of something, I pre-order it.

This person could be doing the same but you don't know – you're judging her based on one sentence she typed on a message board, and that makes it rude.

      • Puckheadmark

MAYBE i will get to buy a box of corn pops this week because you did.  it sure would be nice, since i cant seem to get to the store at 6 or 7 am when mrs extreme couponer woke the 4 year old and baby up at the butt crack of dawn to save a buck on sugar cereal.

      • Tanya

yes it is RIDICULOUS…..you prevent others from bieng able to get things on sale because you are taking it all for your self!  I wish people who ran this site could block you from seeing all the deals.  SHAME on U!!!

    • Tamjwr

I just got the shock of my couponing life tonight.  I just came from Kroger and the cashier scanned my order then I handed her my coupons.  I had about 15 or so different ones for various items that I had printed and the others were cut from the papers.  I was told immediately that Kroger will only accept 3 printed coupons now that they have changed their policy.  I said you mean three per item and she said no, three total per transaction.

      • Gunter00

I'm really starting to not like that Extreme Couponing show. It has ruined so much for us! I hope they just didn't know what they were talking about.  I have heard they won't take more than 3 for one specific item.  I may call my Kroger before ever going there!

      • Toni

I hope you pullled everything out of your bags/cart that she wouldn't take a coupon for,  and had her use them to restock their shelves.  I always do this when someone will not take a coupon.

    • Jmb

I went to my Kroger tonight and used 22 coupons.

      • Tamjwr

At the Kroger in Shelbyville, Ky you can use all the coupons you want from the paper inserts, but you can only use 3 computer printed ones per transaction.

        • Renae

I really think it depends when you go. I often shop at the krogers in shelbyville and taylorsville ky and when I go in at 2 am they never say anything to me but the moment I go in at a “normal” time I get a hassel from the cashiers and the managers.

          • That's awful that you have to lurk in the shadows in order to do your grocery shopping.  When I hear tales like this, I am thankful that my Kroger has not lost all sense.  They seem to still understand that coupon clippers are money in the bank.

            • Mel_Jolley

It's 3 per transaction at my Kroger in Springfield, TN. I have decided to stop shopping there because most of the grocery coupons are printables now. It sucks.

        • Zee

I think it's three per product, right??

    • Littlemcknz

I used 6 printed coupons for the vfusion without any problems.

    • Sgray65

In Florida here because of the coupons shows we are getting a hassle down here as well. We dont have double coupons here and still have a rough time. Publix tried to say i coppied the computer printed coupons and all

      • Toni

When you print internet coupons that are NOT pdf., each coupon will have a different code number on it,  making no two coupons that you print to be alike.  Point this out to the cashier or manager.  It is rare for a Publix to be so ignorant;  I am sorry.

      • ashley

I also live in Florida and they are very strict with the coupons. They read every coupon and have me point it out in my cart. I always use coupons correctly and the people behind me get very upset because even though i am only doing one transaction, if i am using 15-20 coupons it takes so much extra time. Also, Publix in Florida doesn't do the penny item :( so upsetting

      • danielle

Next time you print multiples of the same coupon take a look at the numbers under the “dot scan bar code” located under the date.  They are DIFFERENT on all the coupons.  This supprised me when I first noticed it, but it helps if you run into a situation at a store where they are accusing you of copying coupons.  You just show them that the numbers are different, proving that you did not copy them.  The only time this isn't the case would be a PDF coupon, they are all the same and you can print as many as want.  I personaly don't like these because of that reason.

    • may

do you show where is the best place to buy for the week using the coupons?  or is this something we have to do on our own?

      • Ileana

You can go to “Best Deal” section in Blue on the top right.  Out of the stores that you posted your best deals will be @ Publix & CVS.  I would start with Publix.  Read and watch the videos Jenny has under  “learn to coupon” up top.  You can also see each stores list and the items listed with the “nut” next to them would be one that is at a “great” price that you definetly want to buy if you use it. There are some items that you may not “need” or “use” but if it gives you overage to use towards other stuff that is needed than buy it and donate it.  Hope this helps!!

    • Glorym62

I live in a small country town in FL. we have CVS, Walgreeens, Walmart, Winn-Dixie and Publix. We are on a very TIGHT income, so whatever I buy is to use, I don't have the luxury of the Extreme Couponing that have a closet full. So how do I know or how to I compare who has the best deals for the week? Just started couponing two weeks ago. Thanks, God bless.

      • Queenlee55

Get the inserts for the local grocery stores and look for sales.  The best way to save money is to go to a store that doubles or triples coupons.  That's what the people on the TV show do.  I do the same thing but I don't have a stock pile.  I get only what I need.  It takes a lot of planning to be effective.  My first trip to my local store totaled $113.  I spent $52.  It was a triple coupon trip.  You can sign up on the stores website as well to check out sales.  Like I said, there's a lot of comparing and planning that goes into it, unless you only have one store that doubles or triples coupons.  I think Winn Dixie and Publix do.  Just check their websites for their coupon policy.  I hope this helps!

        • Michelle

Does anyone know the CVS or Harris Teeter coupon policy?  How many coupons can you use on a single product?

          • amy

http://www.southernsavers.com/store-policies/jenny has the coupon policies listed on this website.

          • IslandGirl

I love Harris Teeter.  They are the only store that I have found that doubles up to 0.99 cents everyday..even though that it limited to 20 doubles in 1 day.  I have a family of 4 and I have not felt that this is inconvenient.  They also are always running super doubles (starting next week) or triples.  That is my favorite store, then comes CVS.l

        • Toni

Publix doesn't double coupons in Florida.

      • Julia

I have found that Jenny and her group for the week show you the best coupons/buys for the store or drug store.  I have been couponing for about a month now… saved alot and yet I don't buy products to save/store.

Penny saved can to applied somewhere else… right!  Good Luck!!! Julz

      • Couponkimtaylor

This site is a great place to get your lists together and figure out who has the best price.  But I will tell you that when you find a good deal on an item your family uses its best to get enough of that product for 6 weeks.  If you buy enough of when its free or cheap you won't have to pay full price for it when you need it next.  I don't think the hoarding of Extreame Couponing is the way to go.   But I do have 10-12 of my family staples.  Buy cheap never full price.

      • Toni

I know what you are saying when you say you can't stockpile much or at all.  I have been there all of my life until these past couple of years.  When it comes to stockpiling,  there is a very real sense to the statement that it takes money–at least some money– to make money!   I had to watch great deals come and go because I had nothing to start with.  However,  anything you can do HELPS!  This site will help you.  It has helped my family tremendously.  Personally,  I have found Publix and CVS to be the best when it comes to getting good deals,  but if I were you I would go to as many of the stores as practical or necessary, for the best deals,  as long as I didn't undo the savings by spending too much on gas or time.  CVS is great because you can “roll” your extra care bucks and continue to get free things with little to nothing out-of-pocket.  I have– many,  many times– used one of their $4 off a $20 puchase coupons to get $16 plus that extra $4 of stuff free.  I would get things I needed AND things I didn't need IN ORDER TO get the stuff I did need for free.  I would just use ECB's and coupons on whatever things would give me new ECB's,  especially if the deal made a profit.  I got what I needed PLUS got to try new things this way or bless someone in my neighborhood with whatever I couldn't use.  At CVS,  just look for ways to keep the “out-of-pocket” (we abbreviate it “OOP”) spending to little or nothing.

        • Toni

Also,  start small at first so you don't get overwhelmed and discouraged.  As far as the drug stores go,  Walgreens can be frustrating,  so start with CVS and follow Jenny's suggestions (on this site) for starting small.

      • Sandreca77

there ia  SIGHT  CALLed coupon mom she matches up the deals for you  this sight gives you only the lowest pricest deal allso i live in ky we dont have the sales  where i live to do anything extream my self but i do get half off my food bill   this sight is very help ful so is coupon mom you have to register on coupon mom and  click on the deals in my statedrop down list hope this helps

      • Asolstice06

I am in the same position as you. I have been couponing for about a year and a half, and I will say that I do have a stock pile, but not a HUGE crazy one, and almost all of the stuff I have stocked is stuff that I either got for free or super cheap, with a few items I was paid to take home. Thats why it took me a year to actually build a stock pile. Again, I am not an extreme couponer…infact I dispise the term and the show. It takes a long time to get a stock pile from nothing, especially when you live in an area with only a few stores…like me. I have a Kroger and a Publix. I shop at Publix because it is FAR cheaper then Kroger… and it really is a pleasure to shop at Publix. It can be discouraging to have to pass up on great deals.. but one thing I have learned is that there will ALWAYS be a better deal, even if it takes a year for it to come along. Good luck!

      • Kevins mommy

Publix is the best place I have found in FL. I only purchase BOGO when I have two coupons.  CVS and Walgreens are other great places for bargins – cheap sugar, Mayo, toothpaste and the like.  Watch for cycles – like right now is a good time to stock up on peanutbutter, sunscreen, hot dogs and cleaning supplies.  Have fun!

Bought a copy of the AJC yesterday to get the $5/20 CVS Q. There was an insert offer for Thursday/Sunday AJC delivery for $1.48 a week. That sounded like a pretty good deal. Anyone else gotten a better offer?

      • kristen

i'm in atlanta and i don't think i've seen that offer… i would love that b/c i'd like to get the thurs paper for the coupon for the publix penny item… every deal i ever see is for thurs THRU sunday

Sorry to sound so dingy but what is the AJC? :)

The Charlotte Observer is offering Sunday only for $1/week for up to a full year. After that year it does go up to regular price. And you can get additional papers sent for only $1/each which is normal pricing (not special offer).

        • ireneY

That sounds like an amazing deal I would jump on, but isn't that a little far for delivery to Atlanta? Just kidding!!

    • Rachel

I have lots of leftover coupons from RedPlum/SmartSource/P&G inserts from the past few weeks. If anyone wants to trade or is just looking for something in particular, I'm happy to mail you coupons. No sense in throwing them out when someone could be saving!! Email ras423@gmail.com.

      • Esouth7259

Hey Rachel what coupons do you have left over?

        • Fcasvu13

If you have some that no one wants or that have already expired… send them to our armed forces stationed overseas! They can use coupons up to 6 months after expiration! It's a great way to keep giving and saving.

I may not be doing this right, but I'm finding way more savings just by using this site to find WHEN things I need are on sale and buying a few of them then.  Sometimes I use coupons, but my better results are when I buy at the right time.

      • Rosey4u8

you have to get things when they are on sale and if you have a coupon that will make even a better deal sometimes even free :)

      • Lori

Hey Danielle – we're in Conover & someone also stole most of the newspapers & coupons from the place we get our paper. The paper I paid for had nothing in it.

      • Amber_ashe

I buy my papers from the dollar general and I always, always stand at the checkout counter that is not being used and look thru them to make sure they are there. We have had problems here in my area of Greenville of people doing the same thing, it reallllly makes me mad!

      • Caitlyn B.

I bought 2 Charlotte Observers that I pulled out straight from a new stack (i undid the ties around the bundle myself) and there were no SS or RP inserts in either! Is it possible they could have messed up when putting the papers together?

    • Rina

Get my Hattiesburg American delivered and lately I don't all of the inserts. Arrgg!

      • SWoods

Same here I only received SS today.  I've called about not getting the inserts before and they sent me a new paper with both RP and SS in it. (Didn't have time to call today) You need to call the paper by noon in order to receive another one the same day.  Of course on Holidays you won't get the coupon inserts.

Just got the Tuscaloosa News and the Birmingham News. 1 SS in the birmingham and 1 SS and 1 RP in the Tuscaloosa. Was missing alot of the coupons listed though.

i was just wondering the same thing, because usually the birmingham news has more coupons than the the tuscaloosa

        • I live in Cullman, AL. Bought a Birmingham, Huntsville, and Cullman paper. Got SS in both the B'ham and Huntsville paper but no RP. In the Cullman paper I got the SS and RP. Very unusual to have more coupons in the local paper.

woahhh.. sorry for the jumble. i'll send the list when Jenny gets the updates – it should be easier to read that way.

    • Amelia B.

Ok, so I don't know what the deal is with the Red Plum inserts in my area.  I live between Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC.  I usually pick up my Sunday papers at the gas station down the road from my condo and, due to our location, they carry both the Greensboro News & Record and the Winston-Salem Journal.  I've gotten into the habit of buying one of each since they carry identical coupons but different sales flyers.  Last week, however, I picked up just the Greensboro News & Record (3 copies from 2 different locations) since I was already in town.  Even though someone on this site confirmed that the Red Plum insert was in the Greensboro paper last week, there wasn't any in my papers – just the Smart Source insert.  I thought that was weird but then today I found the same problem at my usual gas station.  The Greensboro paper only had the Smart Source insert, while the Winston paper had both Red Plum and Smart Source inserts.  We have always received both inserts in both papers, so I have no idea what is going on (especially since someone on this site found a Red Plum insert in their Greensboro paper last week).

      • Holly

I've found that you have to subscribe to the N&R to get the Red Plum inserts. Thans for the WSJ tip!!!

If anyone isn't going to use their Carolina Pride or Tennessee Pride coupon, I would love to have them. I have lots to trade :) You can email me at collegegirl2417@aol.com. Thanks so much

    • Nora

I have been wondering why there are so many coupons I can not find in RP and SS.  Today I finally made a comparison from the list for 6/19.  There are 29 listed for RP that were not in my RP section and 30 SS that I don't have.  I have been wasting time looking for coupons I don't have.  However, in the SS section I have a few that are not on your list; Heluva Good Dip, Stubbs' Bar B Q sauce, Sauer's spices, I live in Montgomery, Al.  Wondering if I should buy the Atlanta Journal.  Comments please.

      • The AJC is always going to have the better coupons than the smaller city papers. I get 2 – AJC and Atlanta Evening Edge. AJC is better, every week.

      • Kim

Do you know where you can by the Atlanta paper in Montgomery?  We just moved to the area and I have been disappointed in the Montgomery paper as well.

        • Pattcoupons

You can order Atlanta Journal inserts from koupon-kash dot com

        • Nora

I think it can be purchased at the book stores; Books A Million and Barnes & Nobles.

      • Stacey

I live in Montgomery too.  I bought two papers and both had two inserts (but missing many coupons).  I went to the CVS at Midtown to buy another, and they had only one insert.  The papers out in Pike Road had only one insert.  I bought a Birningham News at the Mitylene exit and it had a SS only, completely different from ours.  Haven't found the Atlanta paper anywhere.

    • Paul

Anyone receive Bailey's creamer coupons they will not be using?  My SS didn't have them and reached print limit.  I have lots in this week's inserts I could trade.

    • jklong

Made a run to get a Sunday paper and they said they sold out at 7:30 this morning in Ozark, AL due to the coupon craze.  So frustrating, just want to grab one paper, husband would also like to just read a Sunday paper, seems to be getting a little out of hand. I'm going to start ordering my papers, since I'm also running into issues with the coupons being gone.  Hope you all are having better luck!

Did you actually get a Red Plum in the Birmingham News on 6/19?  I know of at least 10 people in our area that didn't get them in our B'ham News – when my Pastor's wife called the office yesterday they gave her the run around and told her that they weren't scheduled to get a Red Plum  on 6/19.  I think they just didn't want to talk to us.  If some B'ham papers had Red Plum what happened to the rest of them?????  Our paper delivery man said that he had several other people call him and ask where the RP inserts were. :(

Does anybody know if a single roll of toilet paper is considered a trial size?

      • Those should be single rollss – trial sized would be in a little bag with 4 or 5 in there and no tube. I've only ever seen trial size paper towels once.

I live pretty far out of town and generally do not get my papers until Monday
when hubby brings them home after work.  He knows the personnel at one of the gas stations he frequents during the work week and the manager holds four papers for us each Sunday.  I do worry about the papers having missing inserts especially when I see numerous posts about so many of you not getting yours.  On occasion we have to worry about a new employee selling the papers to another customer before we get there–which did happen last week.

This week I was pleasantly surprised when we picked up our papers.  (I actually got them on Sunday since we had to schedule our shopping trip a day early)  All four papers had both the RP and SS inserts and two of the papers had double SS inserts!

Hey I was wondering where I could get some deals and or coupons on redbull energy drinks…?? Any ideas?? Thx :)

      • FYI

Hi, I work at a retail store and we were recently notified by Red Bull corporation that they have not put out any coupons for their products since October 2009. Too many fraudulent coupons were their reasoning.

I got my paper at Publix in Franklin, TN.  I bought two papers and neither of them had inserts.

Wow!  Thank you so much for the preview.  I am new to this site.  I will be back and telling my friends, too.
