I would like some advice, please. I am looking for the best deal on very thin socks for my granddaughter. She cannot wear thick socks. Could someone advise me where these are economical? I have $15 Walmart gift card from the cosmetic deal awhile back. Also the $5 EBates credit or giftcard. I don't really know how to even use that. That is something else I would really love to have advice on using. I keep forgetting about it until there is a shortage of money. I am trying to pull in all my resources for school socks. Thanks for any advise. Sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to post this.

      • SusanStauffer

No nonsense sport socks are pretty lightweight and comfortable. I'm pretty sure Walmart carries them. If they don't, look through the selection of sport socks, as they are made to be lightweight and breatheable.

Thank you for your advice. I failed to mention my granddaughter is six years old but is tall and has long feet, so maybe some of the smallest sizes will fit her. Our plan is to go to the store and hold some up to her feet, then order on line. I would never have thought to look at No Nonsense socks, though. So your reply was very helpful.

I noticed someone on the walgreens page said that they (walgreens) had a bunch of their socks on clearance for $1. Last I saw they varied from thin to thick ones, it might be worth checking out. good luck!

Our house really likes the Old Navy socks. They're thin, but with some stretch in them so they hold up to multiple washes. I even bleach the white ones and hand them down to my cousin's daughter! Sign up for their e-mails or watch on Southern Savers, since they've been running 30% off everything deals. I bought 20 pairs for my 2 kids for $14. You could probably order online through e-bates, too. to make it even better.

love to hear all your thoughts on binders and notebooks. which are worth the money? which rip? what's a good pricepoint to have in mind?
i don't have kids in elementary/middle school yet so i have no insider info on the difference between all these binders and notebooks. we buy supplies for a family and i want to get them notebooks and binders that will last the year.

Toys R us has a sale going on any Crayola crayons, pencils or markers are buy 1 get 2 free. Not a great deal on the regular crayons but good deals on specialty markers and pencils. I got $95.00 worth of stuff for $28.00. Seems like a lot to spend but I have a lot of neices and nephews and a my own child so this took care of some birthday nand christmas gifts.
