At long last here are the Bi-Lo deals. My eyes just could not stay open last night to get these finished. This is a pretty good week with a few freebies (if you needed any more mustard…)

1. Most Bi-Lo store double coupons that are .60¢ or less
2. You can “stack” a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon
3. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
4. If you do buy two B1G1 items use 2 coupons if you have them

      I got the hefty cups b1g1f @ 2.08 each. so, w/ the .75 q it made them .29 ea.

    • Norah

What does SS with the date mean under coupon?

    • CHERYL

    • Kim

I got Dial hand pump soap free at Bi-lo today–it’s 99 cents on sale and there is a coupon for 55 cents off on Couponbar. They doubled my coupon (well, 45 cents-no overages) and I got it free. I snagged a few while I was there!

    • Angela

      @ Cheryl

Nope, each one should ring up at half the normal price, or in your example, $2.50 each. This is the norm for Hartsville, SC location

    • Stefanie

No you don’t. You can buy 1 at 2.50 in that case. When the list items 10/$10 it is just a marketing ploy. You can buy 1 for a buck! :)

    • Cheri

There’s a $1 off of any 3 Coca-Cola 2 litter bottles in my smartsource 6/07 (Post and Courier). It says Publix on the bottom, but it’s a manufacturer’s coupon. That would make 3 bottles of Coke $.67 each.

    • Jennifer C.

SS means Smart Source, the insert that the particular coupon came from. RP, Red Plum. If you get hung again on some of the terms look to the right of the Southern Savers page and there is a box that says Understand the Lingo. It has most of the terms and some frequently asked questions in it.

      BTW I love your blog!

    • How does the Bi-Lo deal with the paper plates work? This is the quote from the site “Buy Hefty Everyday Styrofoam Plates, Try SH Foam Plates FREE, 50 ct” Can you get a free pack of SH plates with every Hefty plate that you purchase?

      • Jenny

You will need to log in to your mybi-lo account and print a coupon for the buy theirs get ours promotion. It will only let you use the coupon once per card.

    • Stefanie

But don’t forget you can use a Q for the hefty plates as well as the bilo coupon to get the SH plates free. Good deal on plates.

    • sharon29_99

Kim – What is Couponbar? Is that a web site? I tried going to Couponbar.com and it just looks like a site with links to lots of other couple sites….I was looking for the Dial soap deal like you got.

    • Eddy

What does the red print mean?

    • Kim

sharon29_99- If you are on the southernsavers main page, go to the “printable coupons” tab (upper left corner). About the eighth entry down is “coupon bar” in blue. Click on this, shoud say “128 great deals”. Under houshold coupons is the Dial soap. This link will take you to the Dial webpage and you’ll see the option to print the coupon. It is good for any Dial pump soap (even though it shows the foaming soap). Hope this helps! My Bi-lo in Columbia SC had the White tea sent that smells better that that orange stuff. Although, I don’t care what it smells like for free!

    • Mina

Don’t forget the INSTANT $3 off your order if you buy $10 worth of Dole fruit products and the Up To $3.50 OYNO if you buy 5 Betty Crocker fruit snacks.

    • Amy

Is the Gen Mills offer good at Bi Lo for the fruit snacks??

    • Teresa

Blinkie at Publix has 55 cents off Dixie Ultra plates.

    • Sloan

I didnt know about the coupon for the SH brand free with brand purchase, but I bought 3 mustards and the Hefty plates and I asked the manager if they were still doing the promotion and he said no – so I didnt get the freebies. =( But overall for a FIRST TIME I thought I did ok. My total was $48-ish and I paid $13.77, including a $5 pizza that I bought on the fly for supper. Yay!

    • Kara

The Coca-Cola coupon is accepted at Bi-Lo.

    • Pam

Bi-lo had Garnier Fructis conditioner on close-out for $1.99. There was a printable coupon for Garnier Nutritionist for $2. Free–Yeah!

    • Daisy25

I am so angry with my Bi-lo!

They would not accept the Man. coupons from the Publix Yellow Advantage flyer….even though their cash register scanned them and took them off my order! The head cashier rushed over and made the cashier remove those coupons….and then acted like I was trying to pull some scam on the store. She explained that if I got those coupons at Publix I could only use them at Publix!

They also had a big sale on strawberries–but every single package was covered with mold. Gross!! And when my DH complained to the manager about the strawberries he acted as though my husband was being unreasonable. O, my mistake, sir! Of COURSE we will buy moldy strawberries. What were we thinking?

    • Jan

I am fairly new to this… when I see an item and then several coupons below the item with minus signs before them, does that mean I can use each coupon listed? I thought you could only use 1 manufacture’s coupon on the item. Thanks.

      • Jenny

The coupons listed are to show you all the available options that are out there. So you need to find the ones that you have or know whether to gather more from if you need to buy more than one item. You are right though you can only use one coupon per item you purchase.

    • Sonya

FYI the Hefty coupon from RP 6/21 has a 9.

    • Mal

      Pam,where did find Ganier coupons?

    • Mal

sorry, where did you find Garnier coupons?

    • Phay

For those in Columbia, SC… I visited the BiLo in Cayce last week. The cashier told me they stopped taking Internet coupons. He said it doesn’t matter that they are manufacture coupons or that they scan perfectly. I was told this at two different Food Lion stores as well. Is anyone else experiencing this? I used quite a bit of “printable”s. Can they do this?

    • Holly

Lays Potato Chips are B1G1 and there is a coupon in July’s All You for $1 off 2.

    • Amy

The Bilo ads are up already! They run the 28th through the 7th in my area! Chattanooga, TN

      • Jenny

I just went to check, that shocked me. There is one page of deals that runs through the 7th but the rest of the ad (starting on page 3) is the ad that runs through the 30th. I’ll get these two pages posted soon though, Thanks!

    • Dale

Rainchecks at Bi-Lo- Today I used a rain check for Crunch n Clean, which resulted in an overage. I was told I could not go “negative”, and therefore for the 4 boxes I could only use 3 coupons…I am now of the opinion a rain check has less value if there is an overage…since it is not rung up the same way as the original purchase. Any thoughts?

PS Publix is so much more gracious to us couponers!

    • Michele

Today I went to purchase several B1G1 items and planned to use two coupons like I’ve done for months. The register kept beeping, so a manager was called. She informed me that I can no longer use two of the same coupons. ??????? Has anyone experienced this?

    • Kim

I shop at the Bi-lo in northeast Columbia (at Sandhills) and have been using the internet coupons there without problems(yet). I wonder why they have stopped accepting the coupons at your Bi-lo. Hope the trend doesn’t spread to northeast! (I think a lot of the stores causing problems aren’t aware of how coupons really work themselves)! Why the hassle? I mean, they are gonna get reimbursed by the manufacturer anyways (regardless if it’s a paper vs. internet coupon). That stinks! :(

    • Dale

I think the reason they don’t accept internet coupons is that they have not done the proper training with their staff on how to recognize fraudulent coupons.. so it is easier to say no printed coupons…the managers need to get more knowledgeable and then train their staff. There is no reason not to accept these coupons, as they offer them on their own website….

    • momof2

DEAL ALERT>>>>>>>>>>>>>I went to BI LO today & they had Beyers ice cream for $1.99 less $1.50 q from the (Publix) Family is its own reward booklet. I got Breyers for 49 cents.

    • JEB

I had five .50 off coupons for
      1.Lawry’s marinade,
      2. Grillmates
      4.Weber grillmates
      5. Hefty plates

Only 4 of them got doubled. Also, I forgot to ask about the get Southern Home plates free when you buy Hefty plates…so I did not get them… Any idea why they did not all double? I think I had 2 coupons for Hefty–one that said do not double, and one that did not…so I took the one that did not say that. We scanned coupons first, and card last.

    • JEB

The Hefty plates coupon I had was from RP 5/17 for .50 off, and there was a .75 off cups too in this section. Don’t know expiration…anyone have this and know if it says DO Not Double? I did not use the RP 6/21 coupon.

    • JEB
    • AMB

I can not find any of the Hefty coupons. I have the RP inserts, but no coupon. Any one else have this problem?

    • i know i have read this but have forgotten…help….the 5 and the 9 on the coupon stand for? ty for the help

    • just me

Cathy – If the first # is a 5, it WILL double. If the # is a 9, it WILL NOT double. It doesn’t matter what the wording says. The register will read the first digit.
