Wow! Quick work this week, Jenny!

    • Mina

Okay, now I HAVE to make sure that I get to Bi-Lo this week so that I can see a Boneless Standing Rib Roast with my own eyes. How is it supposed to STAND, and where would I put the cute little “hats”?

I have a real question for anyone who is familiar with the Marcal TP and PT’s (paper towels). I haven’t used it in many, many years, and don’t associate the words “comfy” and “absorbant” with the brand. Ranking it between my favorite, Quilted Northern soft and strong, and Walgreen’s Big Roll, which works wonderfully as a reminder to my crew that they’ve been using way too much, where would you place Marcal?

      • Mary T

My family ranks it at the bottom of the list. With this stuff you have to use way to much to even know that you’re using it!

      • kathi

My top of the list is Cottonelle followed by Northern. In desperation I will buy Scott, Marcal or use catalog pages. Seriously I would plan on skipping the Marcal.

      • Mina

Thanks, ladies. Because of your helpful input, I decided to skip the Marcal.

Cottonelle is my other favorite, too.

      • Laurie

I agree that the TP is LOW on my list, but I don’t mind the paper towels. I prefer a “weaker” paper towel though. I hate throwing away the thick ones because I think I should use them to scrub the floor with or something. :) These are perfect for wiping up spills from my toddler. They’re absorbent enough to do the job, but not so durable that I think they’ll last for years in a landfill somewhere.

    • Leroy

There is a .50 off coupon in the 9/13 smart source that makes the steam fresh veggies free. I bought 37 an hour ago and it cost me .37 cents, lol. Thanks Jenny.

      • Mary T

Make sure you watch your total and know how much you should be spending. The computer only doubled 10, so I took the rest off, rang up another 10, then had two more on another order and the computer wouldn’t take the q’s at all. The limit is 10 the cashier said and she had no control on what the cptr. did. It’s funny when you have a raincheck they won’t limit you, but on a normal day they do!

        • Tracy

Are you guys buying them online? How is it working? I have coupons, but I am not sure how to get them for free with my coupon…..HELP!

    • RM

Jenny could you please list the PG deal that Bi-lo has. this weeks paper had some great coupons to use with that deal . I know u only list it if it’s a good deal but I believe that with stacking the coupons plus the freebie it is a great deal I just don’t know what qualifies. Thanks for all u do

    • Momof2 (Greer, SC)

Hey guys there is a coupon for the mystic pizza, buy 2 get 1 free on smartsource.com so that would be like buying 1 getting 2 free since they are a BOGO this week. Right????

      • Kara

You’re correct…it would be like buying 1 at regular full cost and getting 2 free with the coupon.

      • Ann

Not seeing this Q. Is there a certain zip?

        • Apryl

          • Stacey

I don’t see them listed for 32801. Has anybody had luck using a different zip code?

      • Kaysie

I am not seeing this coupon either, can you post the link maybe?

    • CK

The printable birds eye coupon says on lightly sauced variety. The steam packs on sale did not include the lightly sauced ones. Will this coupon still work with the non sauced birds eye packs that are on sale?

      • Kathy

The lightly sauced variety at my store were priced at $2.65. They did not have a B1G1 sign but I used the price scanner at the store and they came up for $1.32. So I ended up getting them for $.32 each, not free but still a good deal. Hope this helps!

    • Karsten

Make sure to check your local Bi-Lo ad to see what the milk price is. My Bi-Lo ad (Beaufort, SC) has the Clear Value milk not at $1.99, but at $2.48. Still cheaper than Walmart here by .60 but not as good as $1.99!

      • Leigh Anne

Hey K! Our milk here in Chattanooga is $2.48 as well. $1.99 would be awesome!

        • Hope F.

          Same here in Greenville, SC

    • sarah

birds eyes lightly sauced not on sale in greenville sc stores. Clear Value Milk is 1.99 though.

    • having trouble printing the olive oil coupon. Says there is an error…anyone know whats up?

      • Suzanne

I too have been getting the error on Smart Source, could it possibly be because many of the coupons will be reset tomorrow as it will be a new month?

    • kathi

I got a catalina mentioning that starting next week there will be $4 catalina off your next grocery order if you buy 6 Pillsbury products (lesser catalina for fewer items)I am collecting my Pillsbury coupons this week!

    • Sabrina

The Bi-Lo mailer I received in the Household Helper had a coupon for a free 3 lb. bag of baby potatoes when you spend $7 or more on any roast. Pretty good deal!

      • Sabrina

Never mind…just noticed that Jenny mentioned this!

    • Carla

My BiLo mt pleasant sc has Borden Shredded Chees on clearance. As well as Philadelphia Cracker Spreads and Bear Naked Peak Protein granola. I used the link for the printable coupon.

    • Kristen

I had a really frustrating experience at Bi-Lo today. I had 6, 50 cents off coupons for the veggies. I got 6 bags and the computer accepted the coupon and took the original 50 cents off and then only another 15 cents. When I asked the cashier about it, she said that the computer had to reduce the actual double amount down because that would have brought the price below the cost of the product and then Bi-Lo would have owed me. HUH?! I was a journalism major and math was never my strongest subject, but since when does 50 cents plus 15 cents equal more than $1?

On top of that, the Bi-lo that I was at didn’t double over 50 cents , so my 55 cents were only face value when I was expecting $1.10 off.

I was so confused that I didn’t get it all figured out until I got back in the car in the parking lot and I was too chicken to go back in and question them again. (Yes, I’m a wimp today!)

So, any suggestions on what I should do? Part of me is saying “It’s only a couple of bucks! Let it go!” But I just can’t help feeling jilted!

      • Cindi

Something similar happened to me at BiLo. I went back in and went to the service desk. She called the mrg and he refunded me CASH and the coups that didn’t double. It was only $1.10 but it was worth it to prove we are watching them…lol

      • Mina

There appears to be a system error somewhere. Since it’s Wednesday, I get my 5% senior discount. The q’s for both “any” Steamfresh and the ones for the Lightly sauced were only giving 12 cents for the Extra Savings. Looks like I even got a discount on that. LOL

I noticed while they were being rung and called the Friendly Customer Service Lady over before paying. I was only purchasing the premium ones that were $1.35 after BOGO. So, even after the 5% senior discount, the doubling would not have exceeded the price. She calculated the difference, which was over $6, and entered it manually. I find the CS people at the St. Andrews Rd. store are sharp and very good about helping to solve problems like that.

      • Kristen

Thanks ladies! I think I’ll swing back by there and ask some questions. :)

      • WandaH

I never have a problem going back to the service desk. Our CS people at the Bi-Lo on Fairview Rd are remarkable! They even gave me cash for my coupons once when I forgot to give them to the cashier — and it was several days later before I went back. They really seem to care that you are a happy customer — at least let them know. Good luck.

    • Cindi

There is also a coupon for $1.00 off 2 pkgs of OM Deli Creations on Coupons.com

      • Mina

There is also one for .50/1 (sub, flatbread, or focaccia) in the Fresh, Flavorful, Frozen booklet. That makes the price $1.50 for 1. That’s a very good price on those.

    • Jen

Bi-Lo also has a promo going for $5 off instantly wyb $15 worth of PAWS pet food products. Their 34lb bags of premium adult dog food are B1G1 for $16.18. After the instant savings, it make it $5.59 per bag. Great savings for a 34lb bag.

    • Mina

I found that the Lightly Sauced and “premium” varieties of the Steamfresh, which are usually $2.71, are half-priced, but not marked and not advertised. You’ll have to scan them to find out.

Also, the Old Spice High Endurance that is BOGO is NOT the Professional Strength. The Professional Strength is a different product and is currently $6.99. The $4/2 q for that is not valid on the BOGO sale items.

    • WandaH

The Bi-Lo $3 Quaker coupon does not appear to include frozen items.

      • Amy

Yeah, it’s true. I didn’t realize this because the pictures are blurry on the coupon I printed, and I didn’t read the fine print. But it does NOT include the Aunt Jemima frozen waffles. The computer would not accept it.

    • Michelle

the knorr printable coupon link is not working

    • Hope F.

At the Hwy. 253 Bi-lo in Greenville, SC they have Smart Balance Butter Blend stick on closeout for (I think) 1.79 with the 1.50 off q’s that I had its only .29 for 4 sticks of butter!

    • RM

Gotta tell u all about the PG deal. This week there were alot of good PG coupons in the paper plus Bi-lo has where when u purchase $25.00 in pg items u get a receipt that prints out for a FREE cooking pan ,spatula, timer and a set of measuring cups. The nice thing about this is u fill out the form sent it in with your receipt pay nothing no postage or anything and they mail it to you. OR to any one of your choice this would make a great Christmas gift and you could have it mailed to someone for FREE.
I used the B1G1 free swiffer furniture polish along with .50 off any swiffer products (which doubled to 1.00) and got 1 dawn used a .25 cent coupon (which also doubled)
      $25.60 before coupons
paid $10.13 after coupons and before tax.
got 6 furniture polishes and 1 dawn plus my freebie
I actually did another transaction with the B0G0 Mr clean coupons and got another freebie (had it sent to someone else) Only one per household

Toys R us is also doing this promotion plus u get a $10.00 gift card along with the freebie I mentioned above. However u need to buy $30.00 in PG products but remember this is before coupons. WOO HOO!
I felt this was worth mentioning there are alot of PG products out there and coupons too.

    • Katherine

Does a catalina count as a store coupon?

    • Patty

Anybody see this? Got me thinking about the Food Lion coupons and how we could finally, maybe, use them at Publix one day in Greenville. Right now, all the Food Lions are considered outside the 5 miles radius….. So, maybe if this goes as it appears it might, we could see Bi-Lo become a Food Lion in the not so distant future??? http://www.wyff4.com/news/21206993/detail.html

    • Lynn

I am thinking that if Food Lion takes over Bi-Lo that the double coupons there will disappear since no Food Lion I know of around the midlands area in SC double. Let’s hope NOT!!

    • Jason

Just wanted to let everyone know that the merger has gone thru and that Bi-LO has been acquired for approx $435 million. I know here in the Chattanooga are we have almost 2 dozen Bi-Lo locations and many of them are less than 1/2 mile from a Food Lion. I see many people here losing their jobs, not to mention Food Lions here offer less deals, smaller ads, fewer great buying opportunities, plus the service often is far less than that I have received at Bi-Lo. I do 80% of my shopping at Bi-Lo 15% at Rite-Aid and perhaps 5% at Food Lion. Unfortunately the only Publix is all the way across town so my options are going to fall dramatically.
