Thanks a million…..hope they work better than the one from last week.  Went to Publix/Blockbuster several time and none of the codes worked!  Will give it a try this week with new codes.

I got my first free rental today from the Blockbuster Express, but the DVD was scratched.  It was disappointing because my boys watched half the movie and then it wouldn’t work.  The case that they are in seems to be scratching the DVD.  I can’t believe that they put their DVDs in that slide down plastic case!  I called customer service and they gave me two free codes.  The lady said they have been getting lots of complaints about the cases.  Who makes those decisions???? That’s just crazy to me.

I have rented about four movies from them and have not had a problem.  That is sad yours was scratched.

I have gotten a lot of scratched ones.  I make a habit of cleaning them before I even try to play them but they often still have scratches instead of just smudges.  It’s just the nature of rentals.  Even when I rented from other places that use a clamshell type case, the DVDs are still scratched.  I don’t know how people handle them so roughly that they get that way.  I am just thankful that I haven’t been paying for the movies that have been scratched or I’d be more upset.

Why are there so many codes? Can you just pick one, or do you have to keep entering them until one works?

very upset with the new pricing scheme. Not a whole lot available for $1 since they went to $3,$2 and the elusive $1 dvd rental. $1 DVDs I got for free using codes are now $2. What a Rip.

I agree that the $3, $2 and $1 is a total rip. Just wanted to add, my kids had been wanting to watch a movie that was on the hot list ($2.99) for over two months. Finally yesterday they took it off of the hot list and marked it down to $2. I attempted to use the codes, and am happy to say, they took off $1 on that rental, so, maybe you can use the codes for a discount on the higher priced movies at least?
