Okay huge mess up on my part. Yesterday was a hazy day for me literally and I posted last weeks ad again. oops. The deals below really are the deals running 6/23-7/07. If you see any other deals or coupons leave a comment below.shoppinglist1

A few notes about this list:

  1. I do not have authorization to list actual prices because the commissary is not a traditional grocery store. So instead of prices you will see a percent off. If you want to see the full list of what is on sale with prices you can go here and log in.
  2. This list also follows the same guidelines as other lists on Southern Savers, only items that are at least 40% will be listed. Remember to stock up on these items by getting 6-8 weeks worth this week.
  3. The deals run for two weeks so look for a new list every other week.

Coupon Policy:

  • Commissaries DO NOT double or triple coupons.
  • Commissaries WILL accept Internet printed coupons.
  • The do accept Walgreens Register Rewards on top of other coupons.

Are you sure they accept Walgreens Register Rewards?? I have never heard of this! In fact they told me they absolutely do not accept competitors coupons – but that was when a manufacturer's coupon I was trying to use had a target logo on it – no go. Interesting, I guess it couldn't hurt to try!!

I am so glad you are doing these by the way, I log in and look through the list but it is long and painful and I just haven't had the time lately – THANK YOU!!

      • Lucy

This was posted on DeCA’s Facebook page: “Did you know that we accept manufacturer’s coupons that have a Walgreens Register Rewards, Kroger, Target and other retailer’s logo on them?”

If you have questions about what coupons the commissary will accept, go to commissaries.com, select “Customer Service” and “Contact Us” from the drop down box and complete the customer comments form. You’ll receive a reply quickly which you’ll be able to print out to take to your local commissary to show them what coupons the commissary is supposed to accept.

        • denise

I just went to this site and it is my understanding that it says ” they do not accept other store coupons” I found this under FAQ I wanted to print out that they would so I could take it with me but that doesn't sound like they do

          • Lucy

They do not accept other STORE coupons but most register rewards are MANUFACTURER'S coupons. As long as the coupon clearly states manufacturer's coupon and has the retailer redemption information on the coupon, DeCA policy is that they will accept the coupon.

        • Savemoneysam

I normally don't shop at Walgreens because I prefer Rite Aid and CVS, but knowing that the Commissary will take those RR, I think I might start going to Walgreens again!

      • JaimeMarie

They DO!!! I tried this last week! The cashies was unsure but after talking to her manager she said yes I could use it! I saved $16 in RR alone! :)

      • emily

yes, DECA posted something about it on facebook recently.
As for the manufacturer coupon with target logo, they also should accept it! I had to tell my cashier it would work before he'd try it, lol.

      • RobinB78

Here's the easy deal with Register Rewards and other coupons with logos for other stores. As long as it says “manufacturer's coupon” on it and there is no where on the Q that says “redeemable ONLY at (insert another store here)” then the commissary WILL take it.

Now if the RR specifies it MUST be used back at Walgreens, then you CANNOT use those at the commissary.

I also believe that if you have a rebate check from a MIR then you can sign that over and use it at the register at the Commissary as well!!!

    • Ileana

Where in the commissary page do I log in to get the full list?

      • Couponinglauren

ok when you look at the top click on the shopping tab
        then click savings aisle
then you login – i think you have to use the person in the military's information
        select commissary
        all sale items

        – it's a LONG list of just words but I have learned how to skim over it.

        • Ileana

          Got it, thanks!

    • diane

there is a b1g1 kraft cheese q in the coupon magazine found in front of store! should make for a good deal since they are on sale!! (military store q)

    • RUTH

“chicken of the sea” chunk light tuna is $.60. I used my $1.00 Qs…so had overage for the rest of my bill. The Tropicana Trop50 is on sale for $2. Already used my $2 Q but still a good deal using $1 Q. I only had 30 min. to shop, but I saved $29 and spend $24. I had a good cashier, and she did not use a magnifying glass to examine each coupon in case I was trying to pull something over on her. Checking-out was a breeze instead of 20 min. of frustration, which sometimes can happen at the commissary.

      • RobinB78

Please be careful posting commissary prices in public venues. That is against the DeCA rules, and if caught you could lose your commissary shopping privileges. I know how much I save at the commissary, and I'd hate for anyone who is lucky enough to be able to take advantage of these savings to lose them. :-)

        • RUTH

Oh my, thank you so much for letting me know. I did not know that. I try to follow all the rules because I really appreciate that some may places are coupon friendly and do not want to ruin it.

    • Amber8279

I am not offended by the fact that people who are allowed to shop at commissaries get really low prices on their food items. My husband was in the Army for 12 years (before we met) and served in Iraq twice and he has told me how great the Commissary was to military families…esp b/c of the fact that most significant others have to stay at home with the kids b/c of how often they have to move and the lack of ability to get a full time job.

Anyway just wanted to say I know how much you wives must sacrafice and wanted to say WAY TO GO on being willing to go the extra mile to save even more money for your family!!!

    • heather

Will they accept a coupon whose value is more than the product? liiiiike a $2 q for something thats a $1.5?

      • Lucy

It is DeCA policy to accept a coupon at face value. You'll receive the overage if the coupon value is higher than the product price because it is against policy to “adjust down” the coupon. In your example, if you have a coupon for $2 and the product is only priced at $1.50, you'll receive $.50 overage. You will not receive money back — you must have other items in your order to cover that overage.

    • Jessica

I recently heard that commissaries take q's up to 6 months after they've expired. Is this true?

      • Lucy

Only overseas commissaries will accept expired coupons.

      • Lily

It was work that way when I was live in Korea. but, not in the states.

    • Brandi

i live on patrick air force base in florida, and they DO NOT allow expired coupon at all. they check all coupons before they even start scanning your items. and coupons that are worth more then the product, they do except. they will scan everything then take the coupon off at the end. had a $3.00 off coupon on deodorant that was on sale for $2.11 there. so i got a .89 credit toward my other grocerys. do it all the time!!!!!!

    • Mom2atc

Does anyone know if these sales are the same in other states? My parents live in TX and I've been trying to help them learn how to truely save with coupons and sales….They do have the commissary but I don't think they know when items will be on sale….

      • AH

try HEB. its a major grocery store in Texas and its listed on the site. hopefully they have one near them!

        • Mom2atc

They don't have HEB … but thanks :-)

    • Mom2atc
