Coupon Insert Variations 3/7

on 3.10.2010 at 6:22pm

This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

Here are the differences in the coupon inserts you received Sunday 3/7.

Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy. There are variations every week.

A few ways to use these lists:

  1. You see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
  2. Print the list for your inserts and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
  3. A way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

Please add Memphis Commercial Appeal to your list. However, I know of two senior independent living facilities that had their coupons stolen out before they got them and some had their whole paper stolen. They do not deliver to each door independently. Those ladies were really upset! I got mine just fine by buying the paper at Kroger.

    • Thank you Phillis for updating the Tennessean – you have bailed me out many times! I appreciate you!

I spoke with the Chattanooga Times Freepress today and was told the PG insert was only in the North Georgia edition.

    • Just an FYI–the Red Plum insert is the same each Sunday for the Montgomery Advertiser, Dothan Eagle and Opelika/Auburn News. I will try to match up the Montgomery Advertiser for you this upcoming weekend and send you the list.

I was in Jasper GA over the weekend and was very surprised to see that the Chattanooga TN paper was being sold at the Kroger store. I didn't buy one because I really wanted an Atlanta Journal paper. I felt sure that as close as Jasper is to Canton & Marietta there would be a rack of AJC's. I guess I should have gotten the Chattanooga one for the P&G.

I bought my normal 2 GA Times Union papers at Publix on Sunday. Because I was sick, I laid the papers aside and didn't think anything more about it. When I went to go through them, the first paper was fine. The 2nd paper had all the inserts (allbeit mixed up), with THE COUPONS ALREADY CUT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that garbage????

      • lisaallynn

That really sucks! What a jerk! Why put them back? Why not just take the whole insert? I have to check my papers anymore before I buy them b/c of missing inserts. I don't know if they are taken or just left out by the company who distributes them. It is 50/50 shot if they are in there any more so I think that someone has sticky fingers. Un-cool!

Is there anything we can do to increase the coupons in our paper? I'm so frustrated week after week as I see that Chattanooga got a fraction of the coupons the larger cities did. They even ran an article on couponing on their front page this Sunday, but still crummy inserts.

I know you can buy them from coupon clippers, and coupons by dede, but the shipping charges eat up your profits – I think Dede's was $5.74.

      • maggie503

I am SO with you, Lisa! Over the years, we have watched Chattanooga go from two papers to one not-so-hot one. I saw the “couponing” front page story yesterday and thought, “Oh, this one will actually have all the inserts!” Of course not! How many complaints do they have to get?

    • KEN31879

Does anyone know if the AJC's Evening Edge edition coupons are the same as the ones in the following Sunday's paper? I've been trying to compare and it looks to me like there is a little variation.

Just so you know the Roanoke Times link isnt working. Says access denied or something.
