CVS Ad & Coupons 5/22

Here’s a look at all the deals in the CVS ad starting 5/22. There are a few fun deals this week, like free nail polish.

They are also starting a new promotion that will run all summer for gas gift cards. Each week if you purchase $30 in participating products you will get a free $10 gas gift card. You can earn one gift card per week. The catch, you must purchase $30 that week, it does not carry over week to week, and it’s only for a select group of items.

If you see any other deals or coupons leave a comment below.

For the gas card promotion, there is a different set of qualifying items each week.  Just want to clarify that in case people have questions.

      • Megan

        Thanks for posting :)

      • tiffany

        ok i gotcha now

      • Rebecca

Can we use our ECB toward the purchase?  Scenario:  I get $30 qualifying items, use $7 worth in MQ and $7 ECB worth and pay $16 cash.  Will it still qualify?  Thanks!

    • renamac

    • tiffany

and do you get the 10 gas card because it was over 30 before coupons?

      • Megan

    • Ronicat

I sure wish I could utilize this list this week, but I'm still learning and so trying to concentrate on one main drug store (WAG)…Maybe once I am more confident with it, I will be able to move on to CVS…

      • Megan

If you get the hang of Wags, CVS will be a breeze :)

      • Tjmj9801

CVS is sooo much easier.  Wags is too specific about their RR.  You can't use them to buy more of the same items, you can't use them with a manufacturer Q because RR's ARE manufacturer Q's, etc.  It's way easier to learn CVS.  :)

      • Jjfdv

CVS is much easier!  I quit doing wags and now only do cvs and rite aid.

    • AliciaSC

On the gas promotion, if my store starts their weekly deals on Saturday, could I use the Sobe coupons from the Pepsico insert on 5/1?  And, does anyone know how much Sobes are normally?

      • Sarah

they are on sale a lot for about $1, but can be up to about $1.50. they are just bottled drinks so just compare it to other bottled drinks

      • Bee

The coupon is actually for a different size than what it on sale at CVS. The sale is for 20 ounce and I believe the coupon is for one liter size.

        • Jennifer

I thought the coupon was for the 20 oz size. I was going to use it at Kroger last week, but the liters were on sale, not the 20 oz so I couldn't use the coupons.

          • Sarah

I didn't think they were very good tasting either..okay if all you ever drink is water and you want a little flavor but it has a fake taste to it but just my opinion, I wouldnt spend more than 25 cents probably

          • Bee

Oh, that's right! So, the coupon would still be good up til midnight Sunday.

      • at mine the sobes are $1.59

    • Megan

      Here's what I'll be getting:

      6 Skippy PB $10
      4 Purex $8

      – (4) $1/1 Purex q
      – $8.54 ECB from previous week

      oop: $5.46 + tax
      get back $3 ECB

      4 Progresso $4

      – (1) $1/4 Progresso q
      – $3 ECB from transaction #1

      oop: just tax

    • Kdncr4lf

With the Revlon Nail Polish, it says limit 6. Does that mean you can get $4ECB for each one?

      • Kari

        yes it does!

      • Kristan

        Yes!! :-)

      • Melissa

Yes but be careful because if you get 6 at one time you will end up with a 24 ECB and for me it's hard to spend them when they are so much.

    • Srgordon

Will you get three .99  ECB if you buy all three in the same transaction

      • Sis2

Are you referring to the 99 cent ECB for the gum?  If so, the limit is one.

        • Srgordon

how is it free with profit then

          • Sarah

because it's already technically free because you get back what you spent in reward money, use a coupon and it's profit

            • Srgordon

Nevermind I see the $1/2 but I didn't have that coupon so was thinking of $1/3

    • Cheryl

I must be overlooking but do not see the Purex coupon. Not in my coupons and I checked clipping service and don't see it there either for  RP 5/1.

      • Jessa

I have a printed Purex coupon, so it was online somewhere at some point.  Check the coupon database.

      • Deb

I have the Purex coupons in RP 05/01.  It is across from the BOGO Right Guard. Page 9 not including the cover.  I hope this helps you.

    • jade65

can anyone tell me where to find the Soft Soap Body Wash q's, the printable link above does not work for me.

    • Appleshell

You know, I was all excited about the gas promotion until I saw that this week you have to spend $30 on junk food. The only useful items they have on the list is Lysol, Finish products, Palmolive (at a whopping .88 which will get you to $30 in NO time) and Folgers (which, unfortunately, we don't drink coffee). Am I the only one disappointed? I'm trying to LOSE weight…not GAIN it.

      • ireneY

The $10 in gas savings will be cancelled out by burning extra fuel to haul the “junk in their trunk” from all the empty calories!! :)

      • Sarah

you couldnt get 30 dollars worth of dish soap anyways because there is a limit haha. you have to be real careful with these deals because if you could find the item for cheaper somewhere else, saving $10 buying elsewhere would be the same thing. I'm sure lots of people will rush to CVS just because its advertised as a gas card but $10 is $10..use your money wisely no matter what store you're shopping at to get the most for the $10 savings. also, even though the items are “unhealthy”..the point is to stockpile and have it already for when you need it .. i'm sure you might eventually need chips or soda (like for parties if you dont have it regularly) but most of those items aren't very good prices anyways so like I said, might as well by it somewhere else cheaper

        • Srgordon

Some of the items with coupons would be free so why not get it and donate it

          • Vacation bible schools are starting up and they usually serve hotdogs and hamburgers at least one night and you could donate them to a local church. One less expense for the church.

            • Sarah

well I was ONLY talking about the items for the gas deal. and you have to know that free isn't really free unless it's an overage..a friend of mine spent close to 50 dollars just in tax during the month buying “free” items, and some of the items she didn't even really want but got because it was advertised as free. not to mention gas money to go to the store, paper/ink to print off internet coupons, etc. so just make sure to only stick with items you know you are going to use, or can donate if you don't mind the small cost in that. also, when I started couponing I wondered how many people would think of reward money as 'free money'..because you usually still had to buy the item to get that reward (unless it's a profit) so it should only then be used on other good deals. i'm sure there are lots of people who have actually LOST money by couponing so everyone just be careful and think through things :)

            • Srgordon

My husband drinks gatorade, you get 6 bars of candy for the price of two and the chips and dip can be donated (our Sams club is raising goods for backpacks for kids in our area), I am not sure but I think 8 gatorades, 6 candy bars, and a bag of chips and dip will add up to $30 not sure yet new to this, if anyone thinks this will work please let me now like I said new to this

    • Srgordon

Can you use the Get one Free 32 oz Gatorade in Pepsico or does CVS not take Free coupons

      • Srgordon

        Expires on 5/21

    • Is the $2 Revlon Color Cosmetic Coupon allowed for the nail polish?

    • NC_angel

In Raleigh, NC there is also a B1G1 AXE coupon coming in this weeks RP, which makes the deal even better. My cashiers take off the full value listed on the coupon to help out, make sure to ask!

      • Southern Chick

        What is RP

        • Cedarhillcabins

Red Plum a coupon insert you typically find in the Sunday newspaper.

    • Angie

Is it true CVS ads are actually in the system on Saturday?  Is there a certain time it goes into effect?  Thanks!

      • grace

Angie, it actually does, just ask for a price check and if it rings up the sale price then it has gone into effect.  I did try it at around noon once and it had gone into effect

        • Angie

Thanks!  The reason I asked is because EVERY TIME I go to the CVS near me (Lexington,SC), they are out of the sale items.  It seems they never restock for the ad.  Once it's gone, that's it until the sale is over. Maybe if I go Saturday, they will have the items.

      • Mrscori2006

That might be why none of the items are in stock when the sale starts on Sunday…b/c people take advantage and wipe out the shelves on Saturday night!! grrr

        • DianaY19

I agree. It's frustrating that the sale “officially” starts on Sunday but  some can go in on Saturday because they “know” the secret.  If the sale starts on Sunday then it should start on Sunday…period.

          • Kristin

I have to work on Sunday-Thursday so before I found out about the Saturday sale I never got ANY of the good deals when I would go on Friday. Now I get to go on Saturday. I don't buy out the store. Just one or two of each item.

      • Stacey

I heard once it was after 6pm, but I've only done it twice.  You can go get the deals for both weeks.

    • momof3

FYI…. I clicked on the link to the Irish Springs and the sweepstakes has ended

    • Srgordon

Check ceasar dog coupon in RP mine was B1G1

    • My question is about the link to MakingLifeBetter for the Axe Q and the Slim-Fast one.  When I click the link, I don't get those offered to me…even after signing up.  I posted this question a couple days ago but couldn't see if anyone had answered.  Sorry if you have already & thanks for your help!  : )

    • SuperGrace2002

is the gas promotion a total of $30 before coupons or after coupons?

      • Mommy2Boys

Was wondering the same thing because I never spend $30 oop!

        • Melissadidiana

they said before at the top

    • sarah

wow a lot of “limit 1's” very sad :(

    • Melissa

Where can I find the ” 125 Years of Summer Fun booklet?” Thanks

    • Sarah

I always wait until Monday or Tuesday now because it seems that people on here find other deals in the store and I hate going more than once for the week :)

    • Sunnytroncale

There is also a CVS coupon for Banana Boat on their website.  You can stack a manufacture coupon with a store coupon, correct?  Wouldn't this make that deal even better?:)

      • Melissa

Thank you!! Saved me an extra 2 dollars

      • Hapy Feet

Can't we also stack a store coupon for Colgate wih a manufactor coupon..

        • Happy Feet

          and Irish Spring?

          • Star

yes to both of those happyfeet

          • Star

yes to both of those happyfeet

    • Coupondad

On the Purex it says limit 4. Does that mean 4 per transaction or I can only buy 4 the whole week with my card?

      • Greg

It is referring to the amount that you can get rewarded for. You can buy more but you will only get ecb's on 4.

        • Sarah

          That is correct.

      • Melissadidiana

whole week only 4, but you can have multiple cards…like make your husband or boyfriend sign up and just do two transactions  with two diff cards

        • Susan

Be careful doing that.  You can only use ECBs with the card they are tied to, so if your husband's card earns ECBs you can only use those with items you buy on that card.  Hope that makes sense.

    • Candlequeen81

Where do you get the CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine? Is it in the store?

      • Kcreviews

Yes, it is. Just ask the cashier where they keep them. I think it costs 99 cents.

        • Candlequeen81

Thank you!  I'm always looking for ways to stack coupons at CVS!

      • Janice

Homer Nance Rd inHuntsville said they are not carrying them and do not plan to.

      • Lakefun29020

I just purchased this magazine at CVS.  You need to ask a manager.  They keep them in the back of the store behind the counter.  The manager said that people thought they were free and were taking them.

    • kp84

Help —  How do I use the ECB?

      • ChrissyPunkin

Just use it like money, or like a magic coupon that is good on any purchase (with a few restrictions like tobacco and prescriptions).  Just make sure that the amount on the ECB isn't higher than the subtotal.

    • Thetruman

why does the scenario @ the top show the $2.00 off coupon for Revlon, but the same scenario @ the bottom does not show it?

      • FreedomSpradley1

Some CVS cashiers don't like to accept the $2 off Revlon color cosmetic coupon for nail polish.  Just ask before you bank on it.  Last time this coupon was out it had a picture of the nail polish on the coupon so I know it should work but YMMV.

    • Coupondad

I can't find the Revlon $1 off nail in any of my SS from 4/10 but there is a great coupon in there for $3 off any 2 Arm and Hammer dryer cloths which make them .79 each! For me that is an awesome price because they really make your clothes smell and feel fresh and clean!

      • Christina Sawyer

I found that coupon on ebay…you can get like 20 for $2!

    • Srgordon

will cvs take up rewards from riteaid, I can't find a coupon policy that states if they do or not

      • Susan

Nope–drugstores don't take each other's coupons or rewards.

        • Srgordon

But harris teeter takes RR from walgreens right or did I just read that wrong

          • Cayoung_8

register rewards are manufacturer coupons… they're not like the welness rewards or extra care bucks… so yes they can be used other places… but this is a ymmv situation too… a lot of stores won't take them eventhough they are perfectly legitimate mfg. coupons because it has the walgreens logo (you find this same issue with catalinas)… but as far as ecbs and +ups they're only good at their respective stores.

      • ChrissyPunkin

Some might–just ask.  My CVS takes Rite Aid video values.

      • Danyeln

You just have to ask.  One of my stores will take Walgreens & Rite Aid (apparently they used to take more store coupons because they have a sign that says they will only take those 2 starting April 1, 2011).  However the store about 3 miles away will not take any other store coupons.

    • Kim_200414

So I can buy 2 Advils and use 2 “Save $3 when you buy 2 Advils” Coupons? Thanks:)

      • Susan

Nope–to use 2 of the $3 off 2 coupons, you would have to buy 4 bottles of Advil.

        • Kim_200414

Oh, I see. I was looking at Jenny's scenario under the ThermaCare so it threw me off. Thanks!!

    • Coupvan

How do you enter the Irtish Springs sweepstakes to get the coupon? There is no place to enter it on the linked site that I can find,.

      • Coupvan

Never mind, the sweepstakes is over. The scenario won't work now. Oh well.

    • Srgordon

I feel stupid for posting so many times but that is the only way you can get answers is to ask so here goes, the gas deal when ringing up does it go on the sale price or the orginal price, for example say the chips are usually $3.49 but are on sale for $2.50 does $3.49 goes towards $30 or does $2.50, thanks for all the help

      • Sarah

It is the price before coupons, the price they are currently listed at.  HTH

        • Cayoung_8

I would think it would be whatever they ring up as so if they're on sale at 2.50 and that's what the register rings out then that's what it would count… I also think it is before any coupons…

          • Srgordon

I know at riteaid the price of the item rings up regular until the end then the discount for the wellness card is taken off, so if that is the case at CVS it should be the price regular, please correct me if I am wrong don't want any items I cannot use without getting the gc

            • Srgordon

Deal will not work for gatorade coupon expires 5/21/2011 ;(

            • FreedomSpradley1

It's the sale price of $2.50.

        • Srgordon

So is currently listed mean prices that Jenny listed or prices after use of cvs card, and what does HTH mean

          • Jmummey

HTH I think means Happy To Help….couse be wrong throuhg

            • Sandra

              Hope This Helps

      • KA

the sale price is what counts for the total, thats the price after your CVS card is scanned, which you need anyways for ECBs and most likely the gas deal

      • Star

the sale price would (since its the 'current' price)

    • Is $1.67 a good price for peanut butter or should I hold out longer?

      • It is only a good price if you really need it. It goes much lower.

      • laura

if you have a food lion near you the Peter Pan peanut butter is on sale for $1.50 each and with a .50 cent off coupon it makes it $1.

      • the larger size of peter pan is on sale at Publix for $2.69.  Use the $.50/1 coupon and you get double the size for $1.69.   That made for a good deal for me since peanut butter coupons are rare and sales are few and far between.

      • Yazpistachio

You can go to Harris Teeter this week (if you have one). They have Smart Balance PB for $2.99. With the 0.75/1 coupon from SS a week or so ago you get it for $0.74! (w/coupon tripled).

      • Birgit Gilbert

food lion has peter pan for 2 for $3 plus I used two 50 cent off printable coupons so I got them for $1 each.

      • Chiefsangeleyes

        hold out. it's not great

    • 2Cor12_9

Thanks for giving us lots of possibilities but, I am having A LOT of trouble this week with expired links…hopefully I printed some already!

      • Mmleininger

I'm having the same trouble…soft soap, hellmans mayo, coppertone..none of them worked for me.  I hope the rest of you are having more luck!!

    • thanks for the resources !

      Sample cvs

    • Julie

When I went to the Extra Bucks machine in store this week it gave me a $1.00 off a single pack of Trident coupon.  That would make it FREE next week!  :D

    • Sarah

under the gas deals, the finish jet dry….etc…says use $1.50 coupon but the highest coupon listed under it is 75 cents

    • Esmer0924

I have a question, on the revlon nail polish.  I have 12 coupons $1.00 off, I know the limit of 6 but do I have to do them all in seperate transactions for the $4 ECB?  Also, will I be able to roll that ECB since there is a limit of 6?

      • Stacyannw

you don't have to do them all in seperate transactions but the ecb will be together on 1 ecb if you buy more than one, ex say you buy 3 at one time you will get $12 in ecb on one sheet you will have to use all at the same time, so if you buy all 6 at the same time that would be $24 on one ECB sheet.

        • CouponBoy5

Is $4.99 the regular price for nail polish? If so you can get $1.25 off for each one you  get if you still a 25% off pass. Plus I know Thermacare is usually $6.99 so the 25% off pass will make it 5.25 bt i'm quite sure about the nail polish.

          • Donna

you can't use the 25% off on sale or clearance items.

        • Poohlar

I have had them all print seperaratly not in one lump on previous ecb deals done at the same item on the same deal.

      • FreedomSpradley1

Rolling the deal using separate transactions makes for the least out of pocket.  It's all in what works best for you.

    • coupondawn

Jenny, you failed to mention at the end of your large deal scenario that you get a FREE $10 Gas card for buying more than $30 in products!

      • coupondawn

is it a free gas card when you buy ANY $30?  or just those listed under the Summer long gas deal?

        • FreedomSpradley1

I think only certain products work.  See listings under Summer Long Gas Deal.

        • Sarah

no just the gas deal items

      • Curlygurlxo

she didn't purchase any gas deal items in the scenario so she wouldn't get the $10 back..

    • Denise

Does anyone know if the $2/1 Revlon coupon would be valid for the nailpolish?

      • Crafty_cat_86

        I have used it.  ymmv.

      • Guest

It didnt' work for me last time I used it on a Revlon sale, but it can't hurt to try.

      • jhoran

Yes.  I have an old coupon that I kept that shows the nail polish is considered “color cosmetic product” so that way they can't dispute the coupon.

    • sealey5

Ok forgive me if this question has been asked, but, on the $10 wyb $30 for gas card deal, do the products change each week? If so, on the items listed, I should just get $30 worth of whichever items (with the limit) on the deal? Thanks alot for the help!

      • Sarah

i'm pretty sure the items change each week, and yes you just spend 30 dollars on those certain items, but you can use coupons as well…as long as the price BEFORE coupons was 30 :)

        • Chiefsangeleyes

My store clerk said it was AFTER coupons…anyone got a word from corporate??

          • Rae

I think it's before coupons. I went this morning, and got 10 of the hershey bars that were buy 2 get one free. I bought 10, and used 5 BOGO dark chocolate or chocolate bars. I paid $2.55 (w/tax), and my receipt shows $8.33 towards my gas reward.

    • Kngrob

What zip for the Salley Hansen nail treatment product? I am only getting the tools coupons.

    • Couponing_princess

i feel dumb, this is still all so confusing to me…….

      • Couponqueen7

Don't feel bad, trying to use coupons and earning Extra Care Bucks confuses me too. I think going to the grocery store is a lot easier. =)

        • Nita Royal

Don't feel dumb, and don't give up!  Just start slowly, and use the beginner transactions as a guide.  You'll get the hang of this more quickly than you think.  If you haven't watched the “getting started” video, give it a try.

It really is worth it, so just be patient and you'll soon be rolling in freebies ;-)

      • kAT hAYS

        DONT WORRY ME TO>>>>

        • Doesn'thavetobefree

I have decided that I am not an “extreme couponer” I am merely looking for the best deals for me.  If I can spend $20 and get at least $40 worth of stuff, I am too excited.  I think too many people are wanting to be a pro.  If I can get all of my stuff at 40%+ off then I am super happy!! Just be patient and it'll all work out.

        • wendyc33

both of you will get the hang of it. If i can do this anyone can. lol. it took me  a good few weeks, but then after that watch out.

    • Pawstoreflect

Freebie alert!  The last 2 times  I went in the red coupon machine printed a $2 off Hershey drops or pieces.  Today, I combined these two CVS coupons with the $2/2 manufacturers coupons and scored two bags FREE since they were on sale until 5/30for 2/$6!!!!

      • Guest

I was about to post the same transaction!! How wonderful for this great candy!! Perfect for our beach trip!!!

      • Dragonfly11m

Do you know what insert the $2/2 mfg. coupon came from?

        • Sam

I think its may 1st smarstsource coupon

        • Candysuriel

5/1 RP I Think but def one of the 5/1 inserts

        • Chiefsangeleyes

      • wendyc33

i did this too, and those york pieces are sooooo good. I didnt know they had that kind.

    • Goodkristen

can you use ecb for the gas deal and still earn the $10 off gas card?

    • Guest

Hi! Can someone please help me figure out the Finish Geltab wash coupon that is $1.50? Do you know where this is located or was it a typo? I really appreciate everyones help on here! I'm LOVING CVS lately!!

      • Julie G

Hi!  It was a facebook coupon from a couple of weeks ago.  I think it is gone, but it wouldn't hurt to check their FB site.

    • Tea

Can the .75 off suave body wash printable coupon be used with the suave BOGO coupon?

    • Leanna

Am I the only one that does not have the $2 Revlon q in my 5/8 SS?

      • I didn't get a Revlon coupon in my SS either. :(

        • Bamagrl98

me either, you can order the $1 ones on couponthingsbydede pretty cheap though

        • Stephanie

I have the Revlon coupons for sale for $.10 ea, email me pattcoupons at gmail dot com.

      • Mooream

I actually got it…upstate SC…surprised! Normally any coupon that applies to me is always missing…hubby always racks up!

      • tim

it was a SS that they left in the driveway week of 5/8, NOT in the paper. Along with other local coupons in Gwinnett County, GA

    • Jade

How do you get the Revlon coupon?

    • Traceykennethcrum

I have not used coupons at CVS before. When buying items with coupons and  ECB do you have to use fillers like at Walgreens? How do these ECBs work?

      • ReneeD

No. You just hand them to the cashier along with your coupons.

    • Dmorrow34

Help! I cannot find the $2 Revlon SS 5/08 coupon. Am I missing it??!!

      • Jessica

I'm having the same problem!  Can't find this coupon anywhere.  Also, can't find the Stride coupon.

      • Remember some coupons are regional. It may have not came in your inserts depending on where you live.

    • Goliathlovespaco

Have you heard CVS is testing a 6 day only sale in select markets? It maybe heading your way….http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=99533&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=647402&highlight= My store suggested calling 1800 shop cvs to complain

    • Rachel

      Where is the CVS booklet?

    • Guest

Is it ok if the number of ECB's used exceeds the number of item purchased? If I m buying 1 item for $10, can I use 3 for $2 on it?

      • DebTN

        Yes you can.

        • Chiefsangeleyes

Yes, because CVS recognizes these as “rewards” for shopping there…not coupons :)

    • Ari0429

There is a  $1 off Banana Boat sun care on the CVS website

    • jdb

When CVS had the Irish Spring bar soap on sale for .88, I tried to use multiple CVS $1 off cpns. They wouldn't scan. The cashier said that I could only use 1 coupon. has anyone else had this happen to them? I would like the use more than 1 cpn for the bodywash this week, but don't know if I can. Thanks!

      • Awaugh88

Yep, had this happen to me, tried to buy several of them. You can only use one coupon per customer (It says it on the bottom of those cvs coupons). So if you try to use multiple the register wont let you.

    • Mooream

What time can young to CVS on Saturday evening to get tomorrow's deals if your store is not 24 hours?

      • Amy29

I need to know this as well….have some ECB's expiring and would like to know when the new ad starts….is it after 6 at stores that are not open 24 hours?

        • Dtcox1

in v a its 4.00pm now on sat . changed last week

          • Kcreviews

My CVS isn't doing it until 9pm tonight. I suggest calling your store and making sure before you go.

        • Me

What we were told is no earlier than 4 pm in the non-24 hour stores and no earlier than 9pm in the 24 hour stores.

    • Kj

Can i use 3 off 10 health care items CRT coupon for buying Always infinity

    • SJ938

I got a tear pad coupon at Kroger for $1.25 off a 12 pk. of cokes and any nabisco cracker.  I was hoping I could use this with the wheat thin stix.  Am I able to use the $1 of wheat thins coupon on top of this?

      • Candace

No you will not be able to use an additional coupon for the Wheat Thins.  The $1.25 coupon is for the cokes AND the crackers.

    • Kcreviews

Be careful, shoppers! I just got back from my CVS (a 24-hour store that DOES update their registers at 6pm for Sunday's ad) and none of my ECB's printed out nor were tomorrow's sale prices in force. I called them when I got home and they said they wouldn't have their registers updated until 9pm! I wish I would have known that before my purchase–now I'm going to have to take all of this back and re-buy it tomorrow, or late tonight.

      • Melwri415

My CVS in Lexington starts the new add at 9pm.  I called ahead to be sure.  The only problem I had was the polish wanting to ring up buy one get one 1/2 of which is the current sale.  They did an override and the manager printed the $4 ECB with no problems.  I've never seen this store manager but she was AWESOME and apologized to ME for having issues with the polish price! haha

*****OH and guys, I asked if I could use the $3 off $10 health care products that printed for the kiosk and they  took it! (I had the suave body wash and deodorants)
*****ALSO (lol)  when they rang up the BOGO suave body wash coupons it automatically took off $3 EACH instead of $2 and manager said was all fine too!! WOW!  I had a great night at CVS!

        • My cashier let the coupons take $3-off on my BOGO coupons, too. I told him that the items were on sale for only $2, but he said that the coupon took $3-off, so he was going to give to to me for $3-off. I didn't argue. :-)

        • Sheila

WOW!! Good for you! The 2 CVSs that I go to have really been cracking down on overage lately and have not even let a penny slide.  On top of that, they wouldn't let me use the $3/$10 healthcare coupon on sunscreen.  I am conservative on how I use my coupons, but even I would think that sunscreen is health care.

    • Mooream

The same thing happened to me this evening, but not at a 24 hour store. The cashier actually asked me at the end of the transaction if I should have gotten ECB, I told her the amount and she printed them right there on the spot…did not need a manager override or anything. I did the Revlon polish deal, so I got back 3, $4 ECB. Thinking that if my little cashier could have printed them, yours could have too…every store, and every cashier can be SO different…guess I got lucky that I had a nice cashier.

      • Dona

This is not something every store will do.  They are able to print you out an ECB if need be, for example a rain check that requires you get one.  The registers are usually pretty good at picking up the deals.  So definitely don't expect them to do it even if the sale isn't running through the register yet and even if they seem nice.  So please don't tell people to ask for the purpose of “just in case”.

    • Kbaize

Has anyone gotten the Ocean Spray coupon?  It pulls up 4 coupons, but none are for the juice.  Thanks!

    • patricia

I'm confused about the gas card.  What kind of card is it?  Where can it be used?

      • Shannon

We have BP gas card at CVS in Blairsville

      • cookie

Mine was a BP as well, but I had a problem at CVS this morning.  I bought $37.36 worth BEFORE coupons, but after coupons/ECBs it was only $13.28.  The computer wouldn't give me the gas card!  The manager/clerk were awesome but we had to “trick” the computer into giving it to me.  They came to the conclusion that you couldn't use coupons on the gas card deal.  I told them they were going to have a lot of mad customers!!

    • diana

finally a better week at cvs, i hope i can get something this week!always out of all the good deals! i get the rain checks and my q's expire before the finally have the items in the store or the only get one or two!

      • Theguestfamily

Most of the CVS stores that I have used will still allow you to use the raincheck with your expired coupons. I have had a store manager to tell me that “Of course they would still accept the coupons because it wasn't my fault the store didnt get the items restocked in a timely manner.” So you may want to just ask.

    • faithweaver

Can anyone please tell me where I can find “125 years of Summer Fun booklet”????? I've seen mention of it for the past couple weeks and now again, I would really love to see one. Thank you in advance.

      • Friedsnowman

        Got mine at Publix :)

    • Zinniasgive

Anyone know if you can use the $3 off $10 healthcare for sunscreen purchases?

      • atlantacouponqueen

you can – I did it on the neutrogena deal earlier this week

      • Stacyannw

i used it and they didnt question it at the cvs i went to

      • Rudy6

You can. I used mine last week.

      • Yep. I used mine on the Neutrogena sunscreen last week!

      • Sheila

My CVS rejected it.  Apparently, to my cashier, the term Healthcare is relegated only to vitamins and other pills.  Boo on her.

      • Anonymous

I asked and she said pretty much anything in the pharmacy section. But I had one for skin care so I used that one. It probably just depends on your store/cashier.

    • Lopezrdy

Where can I find the CVS Big Savings booklet?

    • ChrissyPunkin

I finally got a good coupon from the magic coupon machine!  $4 off when you buy diapers AND wipes, which worked perfectly with the CVS diapers for $6.99 ($4.99 after $2 ECB) and a $.99 package of wipes.  Sale starts tomorrow, but I got it late this afternoon.  I hope the diapers are decent. :-)

      • Stacyannw

i use the cvs diapers to send to daycare and they work well

    • Christinekell

I don't think so.  The sku won't match.  If you look at the $1 one for nail polish, the first 5 numbers are completely different than the $2 cosmetic one.  I wouldn't try it.

    • Amblymc

can anyone help me out with figuring out what the best scenario is for the fixodent? i have all of the coupons listed and doubles of some of them… i am trying to shop for my grandfather who is on fixed income, but i dont know what the best combonation would be.

      i would appreciate any help

      • Darla

I don't know how much the Fixodent is at CVS because the price listed is “starting at $4.99”.  The best deal would be to buy 2 and use a B1G1 and a $3 off coupon.  If you have enough coupons, you can do this deal one more time because it's a limit of 2 deals.  HTH

        • Syndilew

I really don't think that the dental cleanser is included in this deal and the B1G1 and the $3.00 is for the dental cleanser.  This deal didn't seem to be all that great.

      • Rlhudson94

I bought it cheap at Walmart yesterday (south AL).  It was 3.47 each so I got 4 with (2) B1G1 and (2) $3 off I got all 4 for $.97..

    • The CVS I go to has tons of 75% off marked down makeup deals. Worked great with the $3 off Rimmel Matte Foundation (no longer available) q that was up on the net recently. Pretty much got 6 for almost nothing! Be careful with some of these items, as some of mine didn't ring up 75% off and I'm having to do a return tomorrow.

      • wendyc33

best thing about make up clearance too is the beauty rewards program. If your not in that program at cvs. sign up its easy and get extra bucks back for buying the limit on beauty products.

      • Cathy

Thank you for your comments about the Rimmel clearance items. I had 2 coupons and I put them in my purse just in case there was something I wanted. I got makeup and mascara for $.09 thanks to you!!! I'll try to pay it forward. Thanks!!

      • Sheila

Every time there's a reported clearance on cosmetics, I head out to CVS.  However, I have yet to find even a single item clearanced in the cosmetics section of either of the 2 CVSs that I go to.  That is soo weird.. Wonder what my CVS does with all the old season colors/etc that the other stores are trying to get rid of?

    • Excellencebychoice

I am new to couponing> I met a wonderful lady in Walmart (JAne) and she gave me some important information. I met another awesome lady in Harris Teeter and let's say she “took me to school”. I am NOW armed and dangerous!!!!!!! I will NEVER pay retail again. This site is A GIFT FROM GOD! Thanks all

      • Meganclaycohen

i love to read comments like yours and i am very happy for you!! GOD bless a COUPON LADY  and good luck, it gets better and better! do you know about ecoupons and saving star? its a bonus to couponing!! my email is meganclaycohen@ yahoo if you have any questions. Ive been couponing for about 2 yrs now and i am still a devoted southernsaver

        • Debbi

Today I celebrate 2 weeks of couponing, LOL so I’m in virgin territory here. Have no clue what is ecoupons and saving star but I’ll try to email you to find out.

    • jennjenn5282

It looks like the pasta sauce is not onl sale in my neck of the woods.  Its not listed on the sale paper or the CVS website.  Or am I just missing something?

      • Rae

It's listed in the print with the Skippy peanut butter.

        • Yeah, it's listed in with the peanut butter. There is no picture for it. It took me forever to see it, too.

    • Catherine

Milk does not have the $1 ECB attached in my Columbia SC ad.  Bummer.

      • Amie Royer

We didn't get it here either… shame on me, I didn't pick up the ad to double check before I went in and bought my two gallons of milk; so I didn't realize it until no ECBs came out.  Lesson learned, I ended up paying more for the milk than I would have if I had bought it at Publix yesterday.

    • Erin

I did the revlon nail polish deal this morning and accidentally grabbed a 3.99 variety that was in the wrong place, and I still got my ECB for it! I made a dollar off of that one with the $1 off coupon.

    • atlantacouponqueen

I got my nailpolish deal this am – with the $2 off manu – but it beeped; the manager did an override and pushed it through bc he said his wife def considers nail polish to be cosmetics :)  He did say i had to do different transactions bc it says one per purchase – i didn't argue though love me $1.01 moneymaker!  Then used 2 of the 3 ECB's to buy 4 packs of coke for a little over $2 out of pocket.  PS – scan your card and the coupon center – I got a free green leaf tag – that I'm giving to my mom.

    • Denise-Bonus mom

Where do we get the CVS Coupons booklet? My CVS didn't have it.

    • Brandi

There is a $2 man. coupon for Advil in the Rite Aid add for Chattanooga.

    • laura

So I went to CVS this morning and when I got home I realized that the sweet baby ray's BBQ was on sale. On my first trip I got 5 ECB from the red machine. I figured the second trip why not scan and see what I got. I got a free bag tag on my print out as well as Crystal Light and popcorn. So when checking out with the BBQ I got the tag for free plus it added an extra care buck making my BBQ's .50 cent a piece. I also left the second coupon (they're $1.00 off 2) in the store so hopefully someone else can get it for cheap! I love CVS!

    • Lisa

CVS won't take the $2 Revlon coupon for the nail polish.  Their register shows that nothing was purchased that the coupon qualified for.  So, my trip there was a waste.

      • Rudy6

I used my $2 Q and it worked.

    • Mrs Lewis05

i have a question on the ecb do you just get one per trans or per item? so if i got 6 of the nail polish will i get 6 $4 off

      • Gingiraffe

It is per item per limit, not limited to your transaction.  So yes, you can get 6 in one transaction and get $24 ECB back, but you are better off splitting your purchases to reduce your out of pocket expense.  You also do not have to buy everything in one transaction to get the final ECB on deals where you have to purchase more than one item.  Your receipt shows how much you need to spend to get the reward.

    • Hac1mac2

My CVS wouldn't take the Nail Coupon either BUT… the register took $3 off for the Suave BOGO coupon so I got 4 body washes for $2. So deal ended up being 4 body washes for $2 & 2 deodorants for $1.  Out of pocket $3, ECB $3 = ALL FREE.

    • Guest

The Ragu and Suave coupons must be regional because they are not in my AJC.  This is such a bummer, it really messed up my strategy for this week :-(

      • KORRIRAY

        They were in my AJC

        • Ceces5

where were they in your AJC?????? i didnt see them in mine either:(

          • Rae

In the red plum insert. I'm in 30341 zip code. The Ragu was .60 off 2, I think. The weird thing….I got a bundled sunday paper at the Publix at Oglethorpe Crossing (early edition and final Sunday papers), and one RP insert had the coupons, and one didn't. I've never seen a difference like that. If I remember, even the front of the RP inserts was different. I'd check, but I left my coupons in my car, and my son has taken off in it for the day…grrrr.

      • Debbi

I am in NC and there were no Ragu or Suave coupons in my paper either. Bummer.

        • Yeah, that sucks. I got mine in the News and Observer.

          • Debbi

I bought 2 Fayetteville Observer newspapers and neither had Ragu or Suave coupons. GRRRRRR

        • Yeah, that sucks. I got mine in the News and Observer.

    • Bee

We found nearly all (but not Revlon) nail polish 75% off retail. It makes the really nice ones, like the Sally Hansen HD about $1.75. There is also an ECB on Sally Hansen products.

    • I live in East Tennessee and my Ragu coupon was different. I got a 75¢/2 coupon instead of the $1.25/3 coupon. I was a little disappointed. But when I got to the register< I accidentally handed the cashier all 4 Ragu coupons (for 75¢) instead of just 3. I didn't realize it until he said that the register didn't want to take the last one– but he said he made it go through anyway. (He totally didn't have to!) So I ended up getting the same deal anyway. :-)

Just letting people know to be on the lookout for those coupon differences. For some reason we keep getting shafted here in East Tennessee. I didn't get the carefree coupons last week, either. Boo!

      • Jess

I was disappointed too…about both those deals. I need to just look in ads myself and match them up on my own…it's much better than being let down week after week.

        • Yeah, it's no fun to be left out of some of these deals. But really, it's always best to do your own figuring anyway. The scenarios mentioned here are great starting points, but you shouldn't feel limited to what they suggest. Sometimes you won't be able to make the same awesome deals happen for you. Not everyone has the same starting ECBs, coupons, or even items in stock at their stores. But the flip side of that is that sometimes you can make yourself an even better deal if you just take the time to do the figuring. I spend quite a bit of time running scenarios in my head trying to make sure I've gotten the products that I wanted or needed for as little money as possible

      • jessc5

What paper do you get?  I get the JC Press, and it has terrible coupons in it.  Almost not even worth getting it, except I want to see the ads!

      • Srgordon

but .75 will double at most grocery stores to $1.50/2 so you are getting a better deal anyways

        • jess

          my stores won’t double that.

    • Wilto

Weekly ads like this make my wife a very happy woman, she always complains of me buying man stuff, body wash, razors, razor gel etc etc!!!!

      CVS Value $23.44 – Paid $2.11 – Saving 91%

      4 Revlon nail
      1 News Paper
      1 Green bag tag
      1 Trident gum

Google – mencancoupontoo for my blog, show it to your husbands!!

      • Greg

My wife does the same to me. I made her happy today. I got her 8 body wash, a hair band pack, 2 deo, 1 shave gel, 2 bath soap, 2 sensitive toothpaste. Now I can get back to my stock.

        • happy wife=happy life

I with you Greg/Wilt. The females in my house are now grateful that OCD coupon dad has them deciding which of the 10 different smells of body wash they want to use today, and the 5 choices of razors, and the 7 choices of deodorants, and the now the 5 different colors of nail polish!! Ladies, tell your husbands that this is a better hobby that will benefit him in the long run, if ya know what i mean:)

          • Wilto

I'm glad there are men out there like me!

      • what is a green bag tag?

        • Bamasaver

It's a tag that you attach to any reuseable bag you have.  When you take that bag with the tag attached & use it at CVS, they will scan your tag.  After every 4th scan, you get an ECB.

    • Dskiles3tmom

Had no idea there would be a BOGO coupon for AXE deod/spray in today's paper! (RP)  AWESOME!   That's worth getting another paper for me.  =)

    • Patsouth

Just went to CVS first real major shopping there got 92.95 worth of products for only 23.30 cash :)

    • Jlanc0207

Both my ragu and lipton coupons are for 60 cent off 2. :(

    • flpublixshopper

I really got the best deal on the AXE products this morning..I bought 4 Deodorants that all had Free Body Sprays with them..Used 2 BOGO coupons..

Paid 8.66 cents out of Pocket (not including tax) for 4 Axe Deodorants and 4 Axe Body Sprays. and got back 4 ECB!!

That was like paying around 58 cent an item after getting my ECB back if you include the free BodySprays… I love it..

My Bodywash BOGO coupons also rang up 3.00 each instead of 2..

      Great CVS shopping day!!

      • wendyc33

Where did u find the b1g1 Axe coupons

        • flpublixshopper

They were in the Red Plum insert :)

      • I didn't find one in any of my papers. What are are you in, if you don't mind me asking? :-)

        • *area

          • flpublixshopper

            Northeast Florida..

    • Greg

Can you have more than one green bag tag? I got a q from the machine at cvs for a free green bag tag. I also got 2 off 10 candy purchase, so that is something to look out for if you want to pick up some candy.

      • I got the green bag tag coupon too. I'm not sure what good it is. You can't use more than one at a time. My cashier even tried to scan it anyway, just to be nice. But I told him that they only take one at a time (which is silly, I guess). I got my free tag and I plan on just attaching it to another bag to keep in my car, just in case I forget the one I usually use. :-)

      • Vdownes

You can use each bag tag once daily.. So if you have more than 1 transaction you can use both.

        • Oh wait– that's cool! So I could conceivable use one for each transaction. I'm going to have to try that!

        • Harlie_girl2u

My CVS told me today that its 1 green bag tag scan per card no matter how many you have and no matter how many transactions. I have 2 that I paid for and they wont let me use them I did like 5 trans today so with the 1st I scaned 1 gbt and was gonna scan the 2nd one with the next trans but cashier wouldnt let me said 1 scan per card.

    • Brandi

For those who are having problems with the revlon Q go to iheartcvs and they have an example of a revlon Q showing that nail polish is a cosmetic, print it and take it with you to cvs,my Q beeped but i showed them the example and they over road it.

      • Yuliyaporter

@14df91114abc827cc2728afa55e93e3a:disqus I have trouble  finding  that link…  I had  a discussion  with a manager  today  regarding $ 2.00  Revlon cosmetic coupon.  He  refused  to  override, I didn't  insist, but  would  still  love  to  be  able  to  use  if  I  could. Any  suggestions??? Thanks

    • Grace Johnson89

Was anyone able to use the $2 off Q on the Revlon nail polish without a cashier override?

      • Meganclaycohen

nope it had to have an override

      • Sheila

Mine went through with no beeps, but instead of the nail polish, I got the base coat and top coat with the $2 Qs.  I had 2 different $1 Qs that specifically pictured the nail polish, but they both beeped on the colors that I got.  Go figure.

      • Jenlee311

They took mine no problem.  But I asked before I tried to just use them.  =)

      • Vdownes

Mine worked with no problems :)

    • jen

this may have been said already but don't forget about the 3 off nature made vitamin or supplement coupon in the cvs big saving flier from cvs for the B1G1 fish oil

    • NewtoDrugstores

There is a B1G1 Coupon for Stride Gum in the Yellow Publix flyer that expires 5/27.  It says Manufacture's but has (Redeem at Publix) on it.  Will CVS take this?

      • Mandabud

Until I saw your post I didn't realize this was a manufacture's coupon but yeah CVS will take it or atleast mine will.

      • Vanessa

if the barcode starts with a 5 or a 9 it is manufacturers. If the barcode starts with a 0 or a 1 it is a store coupon. Do you know which it is because I would love to use that coupon!

        • Vanessa

I just found the coupon and it says redeem at publix (not redeem ONLY at publix) and the barcode starts with a 5. Thanks for finding that one!

    • regina

my cvs in Homestead, fl. does not sell suave lotion.  so the cashier says I have to buy one lotion to get the body wash for free. is that true? Am I reading the coupon wrong?

      • No, my coupon read either/or. You should have been able to use the coupon on 2 body washes.

    • regina

my cvs in Homestead, fl. does not sell suave lotion.  so the cashier says I have to buy one lotion to get the body wash for free. is that true? Am I reading the coupon wrong?

my cvs in Homestead, fl. does not sell suave lotion.  so the cashier says I have to buy one lotion to get the body wash for free. is that true? Am I reading the coupon wrong?

      • flpublixshopper

I bought only Body wash with my BOGO coupons No lotion..the coupon says or..

    • Jodi Mcdan

if hershey's singles are b2g1f and i have a coupon for b1g1 free, do i pick up 3 and get 2 of them free? i'm new and still trying to figure all of this out. thanks.

      • Yes, you could do that.

      • Vanessa

its my understanding that you are already buying one so if its B2G1 and you have a B1G1 coupon then you buy 2 get 2. I know that at drug stores if the sale is B1G1 and you have a B1G1 coupon then you only have to buy 1 to get 2 free. I went to Jenny's coupon workshop this past friday and she explained this very well there. Hope that helps!

    • Coupongal18

Had a good trip today! I did two transactions…..

      Transaction One:
      (2) Revlon Nail Polish
      (1) Trident Gum
      (2) Herbal Essence
      (2) Purex Detergent

      Total OOP: $2.74

      Transaction Two:
      (2) Suave Body Wash
      (2) Suave Deoderant
Total OPP: NOTHING! :) I was SUPER EXCITED!!!

AND – I have $13 ECB to use next week! GOOD WEEK IF I SAY SO MYSELF!!!!!

      • Angelal9013

How many ECB did you start out with in your first transaction?

    • I think I typed this here earlier but I can't find my post now to see the responses.

Today I purchased a Revlon Nailpolish and received $4 in RR back.  If I go back and buy another one using the $4in RR  will I still get another $4 RR back (the limit is 6)

      • Tammie

I assume you meant ECB (Extra Care Bucks) and yes, you can use those ECB, and will get ECB again.  (You wouldn't be able to do this at Walgreens with their RR, as you can't buy an item from the same company as the RR.)

        • Yes – I meant to type ECB's – Thanks Tammie

        • kristi

So, if I buy 6 nailcolors in 1 transaction, will I get $24 ECB??

          • Vdownes

Yes. Just make sure you get the correct ones. My CVS had them in the corner of the store by the Maybellene make up, no where near the revlon stuff.

          • Kwill65155

No They usually only have a limit of one…sometimes 2.  But I have never seen 6!! With the CVS card you can only get 1, check the price tag on the shelf it tells you the limit per CVS card.

            • cpnmom

I live in Alabama and here our ad says a limit of 6. :-)

          • Nita Royal

            Yes – I bought 4 and got a $16 ECB

          • Vanessa

            yep! that's the idea.

    • mightymousemom

Good week this week, paid very little for 6 bottles of Suave kids shampoo and 6 jars of Ragu ….with kids not bad……. and at last some products I can actually use :-)

    • Mandi

I just had my first humiliating experience at CVS in Winchester, TN.  I accidentally bought a “baby” sunscreen and didn't realize it until it didn't print my ECB's.  When I looked at the ad I noticed it excluded baby items.  I told him I was really sorry I didn't notice that he literally started shaking his head and stormed out from behind the counter because he had to go get his keys for a refund.  There were TONS of customers in line and I was completely embarrassed.  :-(

      • ireneY

Oh, don't worry about it. He was probably having a bad day or just has a bad attitude. Next time, you'll know to avoid checking out with him, if you have the option. If things don't mellow, you have the option of calling CS and bending managements ears. YOU are a valuable customer, like everyone else. :)

      • Mandy A

Remember you are the customer and it is his problem. If you get him again ask to speak to his manager. It is very normal to pick the wrong product and CVS is advertising the ECB's. Therefore it is okay to need help and assistance.

      • Eae1959

I have to think the employee has never made a mistake and you must be one of those in his world thats just full flaws…….good grief, its not like you held up a line to get on the space shuttle or the line to get out of a burning building….people need to get over themselves sometimes…..never be embarrassed, simply say sorry and leave…..after he takes the sunscreen off or course..lol..

      • Mandi

I am hoping he was just having a bad day.  He WAS the store manager…  The other cashiers are always SUPER though so it was my first bad experience.  Hoping it won't happen again and I will definitely avoid him at all costs..  :-)

    • connie

I just got my newspaper today and my ragu coupon was for $.60/2. Not nearly as good a deal. Not sure I'll bother now.

      • Mandabud

I got the same .60/2 so I don't know if this deal will be worth it for me it although we need the Ragu.

    • kitty

I am new at coupons. How do I start getting the ECB?
Would be easier to just price match at Wal Mart and use the coupons?
A lot of this stuff is cheaper at Wal Mart. Like your Revelon nail polish.
That is 3.99 at Wal Mart and you say its 4.99 at CVS
It would be better to use your coupon on the cheaper price.
Plus I have 10% discount because I work at Wal Mart.
Last week I price matched CVS T G  LEE milk at CVS price of 2.19

      • Hac1mac2

I am new to couponing also, I have been working at it for a month.  If you do not have coupons and an item is not on sale then typically Wal Mart is cheaper. But, the nail polish for exampe, it is $4.99 with $2 off coupon so out of pocket is $2.99 +tax with $4 ECB back.  So actually you are getting the nail polish for free plus $1 to use later.  Wal Mart will price match, but never have BOGO like other supermarkets.  Walmart will price match a BOGO but they use the competitors price so there is no advantage (other than your 10% off).  Hope this helps.  Good luck.

        • Shanna_Mckinney

Walmarts new policy is BOGO if the price is listed. Alot of managers do not know this I went head to head with ours with my policy in hand. He called Corporate and verified.

      • jessc5

The ECB will print at the bottom of your receipt.

Sometimes things ARE cheaper at Walmart, but Walmart does not give you the ECB to use on your next purchase.  So, if an item is $2 at Walmart, use $1 coupon your total is $1.  At CVS, that product might be $2.50, use $1 coupon your total is $1.50, then receive $2.50 ECB…you make $1!
And at CVS, you can get coupons like $4 off $20 purchase…..you will NEVER see that at Walmart.

Read over Jenny's site and you'll find LOTS more tips!

      • Pepsi1williams

Just sign up for a card.you will spend 4 dollars for the polish after coupon but the give you 4 dollars ecb to spend in store,so you are getting it free

      • We get a Walmart discount too, so I suppose some things would be better to buy there. But that's only if they don't earn ECBs at CVS. If the price factors in ECBs, then quite often CVS is the better deal. Just last week I did do a price match for the Bumblebee tuna. CVS had a limit of 10. I just went to Walmart and price-matched another 10. I ended up with 20 cans of tuna for about half of what they would normally cost. Score! :-)

So sometimes it really does work out to do a price match at WM. But you have to pay attention to what's really happening once you factor in ECBs and such. Like the nail polish you're talking about– People are getting it for free or even making “money” (CVS credit in the form of ECBs, but still!) on it. That's certainly better than paying a couple bucks less OOP. Free is fabulous. ?

    • Sunnytroncale

Got a great deal on the Banana Boat sunscreen today.
      4 spray sunscreens 6.99 each = $28
      4 $1/1 man q's
4 $1/1 store q's (on the CVS website)
      = $20 – $10 ECB
so I got 4 sunscreens for $10.  Summertime here we come!!!!!

    • kristi

So, if I buy 6 nailcolors in 1 transaction, will I get $24 ECB??  I ask because I bought 2 nailcolors today but I only got $4 ECB.

      • Dtcox1

sorry but in v a paper it says limit one per card

        • Harlie_girl2u

In Alabama we have a limit of 6

      • Kwill65155

Oh Sorry, I just saw it says Limit 6…..thats great…Yes you will get 24 ECB's back…wow I am off to get some nail polish!!

      • Gaelwood

Take your reciept in they should print it for you. I showed her the ad where it said limit 6 and they fixed it for me.

      • jhoran

If you only bought 2, you should get 8 ebc.

    • Dtcox1

have you noticed in v a everybody is wanting your money now food city is having mega deals and kroger and cvs  is doing gas deals and walmart is trying coupons and matching now . i think they want our trade now ha ha god bless

    • Destiny691966

I went to CVS this evening, picked up my six bottles of nail polish, used 6 of the $2.00 off coupons. Paid $2.99 for eaach one and then got back the four dollars a piece for each one of them. I spent $18 dollars and some tax and got back $24 in ECB. I LOVE YOU CVS!!!!

      • Harlie_girl2u

I went to CVS also had the $2.oo off any Revlon color cosmetic, register beeped and they would not let me use the cpn. A month or so ago I had 2 coupons for a dollar off amount of any color cosmetic cant remember what brand 1 had the picture of the nail polish 1 didnt but both said any color cosmetic I showed this to the cashier and she took the cpn. How can I get my CVS to take the $2.00 off cpn.

        • Angelascoupons1

My cashier let me use three of them. I don't recall the register beeping, so maybe they are programmed differently in each state?

          • Harlie_girl2u

Im in Alabama where are you located, what CVS did you use, if you dont mind my asking. Thanks

    • Kcrewfive

Anyone find any great scenarios for the gas cards?? I would love to get one or 2 or three…. but I am having a hard time with Q matchups and the products listed.

      • Sarah

that's probably why…they want you to be mesmerized by free gas and not pay attention to the fact that the items are overpriced. you're better off waiting to buy the items when you have good sales/coupons and/or buying the items elsewhere where it costs less and i bet you will naturally save 10 dollars because you didnt purchase it overpriced.

        • jhoran

          that is so true!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Kelley

this is what i got: 2 bags of doritos, 2 bags of tostitoes, 2 2L of diet coke, 8 32 oz gatorade, 2 containers of lysol wipes, and 1 pamolive dish soap had a $4 off $20 purchase coupon that printed from kiosk
        had $10 ECB to redeem
and a $1/2 off coupon for lysol wipes
so i paid $17 for everything and got my $10 gas card back, i considered this a good deal as we use all of this stuff! hope this helps…

    • Niki

how does the gas card thing work? i cant find anything on their website about it. Do they mail it to you or do you get it right when you reach the $30 mark?

      • Ashleydon34

It prints out on your receipt when the deal is met, it acts like a gift certificate for a gas card, the details are on the weekly ad. One deal per extracare card per week!

    • lilmissunderstood

Ok, I am kinda new to all of this but I am stuck and really need some help… At CVS this week Suave Body Wash or Lotion is $2.00 each. I was planning on:
Buy 2 Body Wash and Buy 2 Lotion
      Use 2 B1G1 QP  and Use 2 $0.50 off 2 QP

Can I do that? I remember reading you can't use more QP that products so I figured 4 products and 4 QPs? Please help before I make a fool of myself in the morning  :)   Thanks

      • Angelacoupons1

You can do the deal…. Bogos attach to your free items and the $.50 off would attach tonthe ones you purchase. That the lotion is on sale for that price. I didn't see it in Jenny's deal listings.

        • lilmissunderstood

It has the lotion listed for the sale in my local sales paper, so i am guessing it's right. Thanks for your help.

      • jhoran

You are getting 2 for free, therefore you would be paying on two, so you would only be able to use one .50/2

    • I was wondering about the ECB and the milk. I didn't see any mention of the ECB in my sales paper. Is this a regional deal or did I miss something somewhere in the ad?

      • Anonymous

        I didn’t get it either.

    • Samantha

Ok I am new at this and was wondering if someone could help me? At my cvs the axe products are 3/$9 and I have 2 b1g1 coupons..how would i have to do this? Thanks!

      • cs

if you bought 4 you would pay 6 dollars

      • jhoran

I believe that coupon is only for deodorant spray..in any case, I paid 1.00 for 4 at wags.

    • guest

can you use ECBs for gift cards?

      • Jennifer

I work for CVS and ECBs not accepted on gift cards.

    • mrs. b

Did anyone try to use the $2 off Revlon color cosmetic on the nail polish? Is nail polish considered cosmetic? I know they have them in cosmetics but my CVS is very coupon specific.

      • EB

My CVS would not take them

        • Qponmel23

          What state are you in

      • Gaelwood

Mine took it, they had to override, but it was not a problem.

        • Qponmel23

          What state are you in?

      • Mkfarquhar

I tried the $2 off Revlon color cosmetic and CVS register rejected the coupon.

        • Tina

I went to the CVS closed to my office and found 2 bottle for 75% off but the cashier told me that those were not included in the ECB deals.  I should not have listen to her and tried it anyway.  She won't let me use the $2 Q too but I don't know if it is just towrads me, she is very coupon unfriendly.  Last week when I have the hershey drops Q from the red kiosk, she won't let me use 2 on 2 bags.

Then I went to the CVS near my house, I have no problem at all.  So I will try to go there after work and try the revlon nail polish deal.  My aim is to earn enoughECB to buy the COKE products.

          • Sweetie16796

~I work as a cashier at CVS and I coupon as well… ECB deals always exclude clearance items… its stated in the ad… but you can use coupons on clearance items…~

      • jhoran

I had an old coupon that I kept showing the nail polish as “color cosmetic product”. I showed it to them and they manually punched it in. Some of the scented nail polish for 3.99 is kicking out the 4.00 ebc. so if you have the 1.00q with the nail polish picture, you will be able to use that and still make a 1.01 profit. Just be sure to price check at the red box first, because not all of them are 3.99.

    • Cherawls

i'm also wondering about the 125 years of summer fun booklet. i never find the coke booklets. does anyone know?

      • troygrad

i found this booklet in a display at my winn dixie

      • Frran

I finally found the red booklet in Publix at the customer service counter  and in a smaller  cardboard display with 2 cubbies for the booklets  on top of a drink cooler in front of the registers.

    • Brandi

I didn't have any coupons for the nail polish but I bought 6 bottles anyways (.99 is still a good price to me!) One of the bottles rang up at $1.45 so that made each bottle .40 which was an even better deal!

    • Lilycat28

Does anyone have a good zip code for the Sally Hasen polish?  I can't find it….maybe it's gone already.

    • Qponmel23

Can I use Revlon Coupon that states 2.00 off any Revlon Color Cosmetic Product? Can I use this on the Nail Polish??

      • Qponmel23

I am in Alabama btw…forgot to mention that

        • lhayes

Hi! Im in Shelby county and was able to use the $2 coupon.  It beeped and he checked that I had gotten a Revlon product so then he forced it thru, but it didn't seem like a big deal.

    • Gwenpicquet

My Redplum coupons didn't have the Ragu or the Suave coupons, does anyone know why?  Is it regional?

    • Lealer

Went to CVS last night and got 6 bottle of Suave body wash and 2 nail polishes and paid OOP $8.54. I had 3 q's for BIGI body wash and each q actually rang up for $3 off and they were only $2. I asked the cashier if that was ok and he told me if the computer allows it then he has no problem with it. Also only one of $4 ECB printed for the nail polish but he very kindly just printed another one for me using my card. I left paying OOP $8.53 and got $11 in ECB for next purchase. LOVE CVS!

      • Yeah I love that CVS does that. In my experience, the cashier couldn't (or didn't know how to) adjust down the coupon if there's an overage or if it is a BOGO q, they'll give you the full value of he coupon regardless of the price of the original item. They aren't losing out on anything since the manufacturer is footing the bill.

    • Cvqpon

My CVS Manager would not let me use the $2 off Revlon Color Product coupon.  It beeped, would not scan.  There is a picture of foundation on the coupon but the description is vague.

      • Cvqpon

I wanted to use it for the nail polish.

        • Cwarner32

I tried to use that coupon at my CVS in Greenville SC and they would not allow me. The cashier said it was only good on the make up

          • Juneandarb

the CVS I went to in Greenville, SC allowed me to use the $2 q on the Revlon nail polish- just depends on the store or the cashier..

    • ky'smommy2

Hi I am new to this as well. My question is concerning the save $2 on any 2 stand up bags of Hershey's. Can I use 2 coupons (1 for each bag) or just one for both?

      • Julie

If your coupon says $2.00 off when you buy 2 bags, you can only use one coupon for every 2 bags.  If the store is just running a sale 2 bags for $3.00 (or whatever) and your coupons are $1.00 off any bag, you can use two coupons.  OR you can buy 1 (and it should ring up at $1.50) and just use 1 coupon for $1.00 off any bag.

    • Angelal9013

      I am new also…..
Did I just get lucky last week?  I just tried to use two of the pringles coupons ($1/3) and was told that I could not because I only had three cans (3cans/$4).  If I wanted to use the other I would have to buy three more.  Is that correct?  Last week I had a coupon for ($1/2)of the V8 juices (2 for $5) I gave them two of the ($1/2) coupons and paid a total of $3 – $1.50 a piece.  The manager told me that the cashier last week made a mistake.

      • Julie

Yes, the previous person made a mistake.  If it says $1.00 when you buy 3, you have to buy 3.  If you want to use two coupons, you have to buy 6.  What might be confusing you is BOGO deals.  You can use one BOGO coupon and combine it with a BOGO sale at the store to get 2 items for free.

        • Angelal9013

Does the same apply to grocery stores?  Thanks

    • Julie

Is it just me, or does the gas card seem like not such a good deal (especially this week with what you have to buy)?  I have to buy $30 of stuff I don't need to get a $10 gas card.  It seems cheaper to just buy $10 of gas myself and be done with it.

      • Cvqpon

Agree!  It would be great if it were $30 per week=$10 gas card on any purchases.  I've already spent that for this week.  Seems like most of the stuff for the gas card is junk food.  I'll skip this “deal.”

      • jhoran

That's what I thought too, but also remember you don't have to buy all the stuff in one shot, since the register is going to keep track of the purchase.

      • For me, that's exactly the case. This is where everyone has to make sure they are balancing a “good deal” with what they actually need. Perhaps some people would normally buy all that junk, so this would be a good deal for them. If you don't normally buy all that stuff, then it is a better deal for you to just get $10 in gas. Not every deal will be fabulous for every person. of course, I hope they do change the selection of qualifying items a lot each week. It would be great to have some of the items end up being stuff that I *do* use, at some point. :)

      • Sarah

well not only whether you need it or not, the prices aren't even that great. if you have a grocery store that doubles coupons or has the item priced cheaper..you could easily get it for less and probably end up saving 10 dollars easily on the items anyways. 10 dollars saved is 10 dollars saved no matter where/how you got it

      • Monique Smith

In that case, it is better to just buy the $10 worth of gas. We all need to make sure that we don’t get so caught up in using q’s and finding a “deal” that we lose site of the bottom line.

      • Leah

The deal worked out in my favor just because we’re having a party this weekend so I got drinks and chips and candy etc. What’s not cool about the deal is that it has to be $30 after coupons

    • Chesser6

Be careful with the buy 3 General Mills cereal/maxwell house coffee free offer. The add states that all GM cereals except Cinnamon Toast Crunch are included. I purchased 3 Cheerios. When I checked my ticket they had not given me the sale price for the cereals and on top of that they charged me $10.00 for the coffee. I took it back inside and they said that because one of the Cheerios was a cinnamon cereal it was not included. They also did not give me the ECBs on my Crest toothpaste. Too aggravated after that to dicker over the issue.

I bought the Revlon nailpolish and used a $2 ECB, making total due 2.99.  I then used my 4.00 ECB +2.00 Revlon Coupon, got 2 Suave Body Washes(on sale for 2.00) and used my BOGO that was in this weeks paper and spent .63 on the second transaction. I did the second transaction 2 more times and wound up with another 4.00 ECB from the Revlon deal and 3.00 ECB for the buy $10.00 in Suave and get $3.00 ECB. I wound up spending 4.88 and getting 7.00 back in ECB!!!!!

    • MustangLadyred

Ragu coupon is only for $1.00 off 2 her in Lynchburg, VA

      • That's actually a better deal than everyone else. The $1.25/3 coupon only gives you about 42¢ off each jar, whereas your coupon will give you 50¢ of each jar. Lucky dog! :-)

      • Gatorginger

I found 50 cent off one tearpad for Ragu at the family dollar today maybe you can check your local store to see if they have some

    • Ninety_eight20

Went to CVS last night. Degree deodorant is $5.00 for 2. I used a B1G1 Degree coupon 05/01 RP and a 75 cent coupon 05/22 RP and paid $0.60 cent!!!!

      • Alison

I'm a newby to couponing. Just had a question. How were you able to use two coupons on your purchase?

        • jhoran

If the coupon is b1g1, you are able to use two coupons..that q attaches to the free one, which leaves you with the one you are buying, so therefore you can use a coupon on that one. If the store is a b1g1 and you have a b1g1 q, you will get both free.

          • I thought that's how it was supposed to go! I tried doing that about a month ago when there was the B1G1 Clean & Clear bodywash coupon. I also had a $1-off coupon, and I was going to use it on the bodywash that I paid for. I was at Walmart, and the woman told me I couldn't do that. :-/

            • Zspreston

I tried the BOGO deal at Walmart yesterday and they would not let me use the 2 q's. I will never do q's at Walmart. They are terrible at it. And the cashier was frustrated when I wanted to do price matched, wth!!!

      • laura

That's awesome. I ended getting mine (after UP+) at Rite Aid for .50 for four!

    • Momof2+1

When I went yesterday (Sunday) the coupon kiosk printed out a coupon for $1 off any Trident gum. Since it was already on sale for $.99 with $.99 in ECBs, it is a profit maker.  I also bought the Revlon nail polish with a $1 off mfg coupon and paid for both with $4 in ECBs.  I literally walked out the store with nail polish and gum, got $4.99 back in ECBs, and paid absolutely nothing, not even tax!

    • Ap17182

I went to CVS today. I found a bunch of makeup on sale for 75% off. I had plenty of coupons for it and ended up with makeup and my crystal light for $1.47 oop.

    • Amber

Does CVS Do rain checks? They were out of all Suave body wash, and rudely informed me that they will not get any in until next Monday (when the sale is off).

      • Ree

YES!  Just go back and get a raincheck, and they never expire!

    • SJ938

I am itching to use all of the sunscreen coupons on the deals this week at CVS.  Since this is my first summer couponing, will there be better deals to use the coupons or should Igo ahead and buy now?

      • Lmckie

I also would like to know this as I am new to couponing too.  Also, for the Coppertone, Jenny lists is as starting at $6.99.  My CVS products started at $9.99, so it wasn't as good of a deal as I first thought.

    • Couponing

Where can I find the CVS reinventing beauty guide? Also, how frequently does it come out? Thanks!

    • Mary

The $2.00 off “Revlon Color Cosmetic” does not work for the  Revlon nail polish deal.  I had $8.00 in those coupons, and was really disappointed that they didn't work!  :(

      • jhoran

Sorry to hear that. I kept one of the old coupons that had a picture of nail polish, eyeshadow and it said “color cosmetic product”. I showed it to them and they manually punched in the 2.00q. If you have the 1.00q, you can still get them for free with 1.01 profit, because it turns out that some of the scented ones for 3.99 are kicking out the 4ebc. Price check them at the red box first because not all of them are 3.99

      • Harlie_girl2u

Look in cvs ad on page 6 spend $10.00 get $3.00 ecb wyb any Sally Hanson COSMETICS the pictures are of nail polish and nail polish strips this should prove nail polish is a color cosmetic, since the ad plainly says Sally Hanson is. I also had cpn few months back well 2  they both said any color cosmetic the  picture was only difference 1 had nail polish in with the other stuff 1 had no nail polish.

      • Juneandarb

I was able to use the $2 off on the nail polish in the Greenville, SC rea

    • Momma

      Great cvs trip for me….

      Regular retail $105
      Sale value $75
      Total oop $11
      Ecb remaining $5

    • DeeFL

I'm pretty new to couponing, and I've been sticking to fairly easy stuff, like two coupons when things are B1G1, or a manu q with a store q.  Could someone give an example of how this one works though?
      Hershey’s Singles Candy B2G1 LIMIT 9
-$1/3 Reese’s, Kit Kat, or Hershey’s candy, 9-22 oz, PRINTABLE
-B1G1 Hershey’s Chocolate bar: Special Dark, Milk Chocolate, or Milk w/ Almonds, 1.45-1.55 oz, SS 5/01

      • DeeFL

Sorry, I cut and pasted, and forgot to delete the $1/3 part.  I specifically wondered how it would work with it being B2G1, and the B1G1 coupon.  I'm assuming you need to buy 6 to make it work, but I can't even begin to figure out how that would ring up.

        • Mamaberry

          First, welcome to couponing :)

Next, you will have to get into the habit of remembering that store b1g1 or b2g1 promotions do NOT affect the number of q's you are allowed to use.  It doesn't matter what the store is 'giving' you. It doesn't need to be considered in determining the number of items.  The number of items in your cart is the number of items for which you are allowed to have a mfg q.  So, if you pack 10 items in your cart, you are allowed one mfg q for each of those items.  Irregardless of whether or not the store is 'giving' you half of them.  That is the beauty of couponing.

So, in this instance, when you buy 2 the store 'gives' you get 1. Your total number of items purchased is three – even though one is 'free', you still purchased a total of 3.  You don't have to actually pay for 3, just take 3 to the register.  So, you could use the bogo q and get 3 for the price of one…. or you could use the $1/3 q if you only have that.

Or, you could buy 4 and use 2 of the bogo q's.  It would amount to the fact that you 'bought' 4, the bogo q's 'pay' for 2 of them, and the store 'gives' you another.  So, 4 for the price of 1.  Does that make sense?

Now, to really confuse you :) if you buy 6 two of them are free by gift of CVS, but you can use 3 bogo q's to pay for 3 of them AND you can also use the $1/3 for the other 3.

Makes for some really cheap candy! hth and didn't make it worse :-p

        • Robyn

no, you would just need to buy 3.  you pay for the first, the second is free because of your manufacturer's coupon, and the third is free because you have actually just bought 2 according to CVS (the manufacturer will be reimbursing them for the second, but you have bought it).  you will be getting all three for the price of 1.

    • Sweetie16796

      • Sweetie16796

Oh Also got 9 ECB back… 4 for the nail polish and 5 for the bw…!

    • Jrenealbro

Well, I am quite new to couponing, but so farI love the CVS ladies.  I had a plan today, and stuck to it, but I miscalculated and did not get as mmany of the sodas toward my gas reward.  My husband keeps telling me (as i talk it out) that I am counting the ecb twice in my mind, and that is what i did.

    • Momma C

The CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine where do you get these from?.I looked in the store and have signed up for e-mail alerts…???…

      • laura

I'd ask the associates from what I understand they keep them somewhere so you have to ask.

      • EB

Its a magazine on sale for 99cents near the cash registers in most stores.

    • Annalesch

So, is the nail polish part of the gas deal?

      • donna

    • Larronsmom

Ok I guess I'm a little slow. I am brand new to couponing and so far this is my favorite site. BUT…first, I don't understand the little colored letter boxes beside the coupons listed. Second, how is it that so often I find the item after the coupon limit has been reached. I am on here VERY often, I'm buying the All You magazine, I'm checking the couponing printable sites so what am I doing wrong? I really want this to work. So far I am being mocked pretty much. I know I can make a big difference for my family with this and I desperately need too. Help??!! Please.

      • laura

The little colored boxes lets you know what type of coupon it is like M is for manufacturer and S is a store coupon. I'm like you and on here often just sometimes so many people print a coupon and it's gone, unfortunately there's nothing you can do about that. Just keep at you and eventually you'll get the hang of it! HTH!

      • EB

Most sites add new coupons and many reset limits at the beginning of the month. It can be hard if you start couponing mid month, but hang in there and it will be better once the month ends. Also, get Jenny's daily email of new printables – some of the very high value ones are gone before she gets it out (but she usually notifies us of those on this site) but overall, you can usually snag some of the good ones, if you quickly read her list each day and print the ones you know you will use.

    • trish

where do you guys find the $2.00 off Revlon coupon at???

      • SarahR

Jenny has it listed as being in the Smart Source insert of 5/08.  Coupons vary by region though so it may not have been in your insert.

    • Tom

Where can I find a coupon for the Eucerin, it is not in my local paper. I tried to find it on RedPlum.com but every zip code that I put in did not work.  Thanks for your help.

    • Lrenegar

      What is ECB?  very confused!

      • SarahR

Click on the link in the upper right hand corner- “CVS Getting Started Guide”.  Jenny is great at explaining the CVS system.  HTH

      • Gregoriandesigns

        ecb = Extra Care Bucks
        Like play money at CVS

    • beachette

so much trial and error involved, but i think i'm getting the hang of it!  the $2.00 revlon coupon was not accepted by 2 different stores in my area, but i didn't mind once i figured out that the scented polishes were ringing up at $3.99.  all told, i brought home $176.33 worth of products for $40.74 o.o.p.  i think i did pretty well, what do y'all think?

    • Nathanandjessecollins

Is this happening to anyone else?  I am starting to think there is something wrong with CVS.  I am not complaining, but I keep getting things I should not be getting.  Since from last Sunday til this past Sunday the coupons printing machine has give me 3 of the 4 off 20 coupons. I received a 4th one when my receipt printed out after making a purchase.  I also received my 5 ecb for 50 in beauty purchases from the coupon machine and from a printed receipt, thus getting the same reward twice.  Now, when I signed onto my extra care account, every one of my ecb since last Sunday are available to print again.  They have different coupon codes then the original, thus I would imagine I won't have any trouble using them.

      • I should be so lucky! I have not gotten one of those coupons in over a year. Also, I have never been able to print my ECBs, except the quarterly ones. I can view them online, but I can not print them.

        • SchoonCR

Same here, would love to get some.  Between thanksgiving and mid-Jan I probably had about 15 of them print out for me, and found a way to use every one!  :)

      • Crafty_cat_86

Sweet!  It looks like CVS has made it easier to  retreve lost ECBs!  It also looks like they're gonna get on the no-clip coupon bandwagon soon and just let us add the savings to our extracare card!

      • Nathanandjessecollins

I went to CVS today and kept scanning my card.  It printed me 5 of the 4 off of 20 in a row.  I did not scan again, when I checked out it gave me another one on receipt.  Loving CVS at the moment.

        • Dtcox1

          way too g———————-o

        • Freedomspradley1

I had that same good fortune when I first started shopping CVS.  It seemed like they kept coming as long as I was spending them.  After about 3 months of using 8-10 of those $ of $$ coupons per month I let a couple expire and then the machine stopped printing them. :-(  I probably haven't gotten but one or two $ off $$ coupons over the last 8 months.

      • ireneY

green.with.envy. I've gotten nothing but those $.25 M&Ms and piddly little Q. Nothing like the bonanza some have experienced.

      • Val

Have you tried using the ECB's you printed out?  I just checked my account and ECB's I have already redeemed are still available to print out.  The ECB's I received yesterday are listed as well but (like you noticed) have different coupon codes……hmmmm….I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I used them again or I would be afraid the CVS police would get me…..our cashiers are not as generous as some.  Or are the extra ECB's really like finding extra coupons???  Yes, I may be looking for some justification….

        • Freedomspradley1

ECB are tracked so I would imagine CVS would catch on very quickly if you tried to use both the original register printed ECB and one you printed from your online account.

    • Mitzie Geddings

SO, All of the CVS's in our area is out of the Suave body wash and according to the managers none come in on the trucks last night!!!UGGH!!! If I get a rain check, will I still get the ECB if the ad is over????

      • Yes, they can print them for you.

      • Momma2LAM

I just got a rain check for the Suave body wash today, but the cashier said she could only make it out for 2.  She filled in the bottom of the rain check so that I will get the ECB if I buy the $10 required.

        • Dtcox1

if you need the suave this week go to kroger its 1.67 each and they double the coupon so its .67 each i got 4  today in v a be sure and check the add this week some stores have different items ok

      • Dtcox1

yes in v a you can make sure they write the xb on rain ck

    • Selenaw50

I have a $3 off coupon for Purex laundry detergent and a $1off, can I buy 2 and use both coupons?

      • cs

the $3 coupon is for the 150 oz so it isnt the one on sale.

      • Gregoriandesigns

      • Gatorginger

The only problem is the $3.00 off coupon is for a bigger size then the one on sale.  You can use both but you need to get the correct size for the $3.00 off one

    • Ringosophie1

Tried the beginner Scenario with the revlon nail polish.  The lake murray blvd. CVS WOULD NOT take my $1.00 off coupon.  The mgr. told me using that coupon would mean that I was paying less for the product than what I would be getting back in ECB's.  Don't know what I did wrong, but got discouraged because the kiosk w/the coupons was empty of paper and cud not get anyone to replace paper – so this was a bust.

      • Donna

You could use a coupon with it regardless if it's less than what you're paying.  You should of mentioned, the store will get reimbursed for the coupon.  If he gives you any more trouble, I would try a different store.

      • mrsbosarge

Try a different CVS, ours is wonderful.  I got a round of applause from the cashiers for being the first customer that day to get seven of the ECB coupons to print in a single visit! They need to get over themselves at your store.

      • Ringosophie1

I'm looking into another store right now!

      • Mary

Find an old store flyer and show the manager the adds where it says Sale price – ECBs – manufactor = like paying X amt. or says in a “bubble', coupons in most Sunday papers

      • E-mail CVS and tell them what happened. I had a CVS that was stubborn as hell with me about internet coupons. So I let CVS know this store was clearly uneducated about the policy. They emailed me back and assured me they'd address it with the store. Next time I went, they took them. They had to get a manager's approval but they took them.

    • mrsbosarge

I was bummed about not having the Trident Gum coupon, but when I scanned my care card, a $1 coupon printed!  I was so excited!

    • Kj

      New Feature on CVS.Com/Extracare
Now, We can print ECB from extracare account…

      • I was just wondering about this! I thought I'd lost one of my ECBs and I was looking to see what I'd been issued and I saw the “print” function. It would print right out like a coupon. Interesting!

    • Inferno4915

Regional difference to note. In zip 30082, my RP insert had B1G1 on Axe products.  Ragu only 0.60c off 2.

    • Marlene

If you've lost an ECB it's nice that you can reprint it but why would you think it was okay to use the same ECB twice?  sorry but in my opinion that's just wrong.

    • Rae

I got my gas card today. I spent $20.86 OOP, and the gas card was for Exxon/Mobil.
I bought a TON of junk, but I have teenagers at home, so it will get eaten.

10 Hershey candy bars  counted as $8.33 paid $2.38 after 5 BOGO coupons
2 tostitos counted as $5 paid $4 after ECB green tag coupon
      4 eddy's ice cream BOGO counted/paid  $10.98
      2 M&Ms 2 counted as  $5  paid $3.50 after $1.50/2 coupon
1 coke 2 liter counted as  .99 free with recycle bank coupon

    • Emmayun2

Got 2 Revlon nail polishes, 4 12 packs of Coke Zero, and 1 package of bounty paper towels for $8.00 out of pocket. I was pretty satisfied!  :)

    • Bh

gatorade had bogo coupons while back would make 2 free if you still have some,I still have 2

    • Danyeln

Very excited about one aspect of my CVS trip today.  I was buying items for the gas card deal and picked up 2 cans of Lysol spray.  Each can had a small canister of Lysol wipes attached FREE!  They were still $5 per can and counted towards my $30 ttoal.  Sadly at my store the King size hershey bars were not counted toward the gas deal and I bought those so I still need $1.03 to get my gas card.

    • Deecheers4rv

At the two CVS in Easley the Suave Lotion/Bodywash B1G1 rings up for 3 dollars off instead of 2 so you only pay 3 instead of 5 to do Jenny's deal listed above!

    • Kayyy

I have a question,   Arm & Hammer is on sale B1G1 can i use 2 $1.00 off 2 Laundry Detergent coupons together?? TIA!

      • Isu2014

You can only use one $1 off 2 because you are only buying two products. The coupon is for both products. You would need to buy four to use both!

    • Momma2LAM

At our ONLY CVS yesterday, I was told that I could not use the $2 off coupon on the nail polish.  Cashier explained that with ECBs I was only paying $.99 and if she took the $2 coupon, I would be “discounted more than I was paying”.  (however, I paid the whole $4.99 OOP because I am a newbie and had no previous ECBs).  What should I have told her??  (or is it unethical to use that coupon??)

      • Momma2LAM

And I don't mean to imply that anyone able to use the coupon is unethical — I'm just asking because of the way she explained it and after listening to Jenny, I want to do the right thing for the store.  :-)

        • Freedomspradley1

The store is reimbursed 100% of the coupon value as long as you are purchasing the correct product.  You might make $1 in your transaction but they (CVS) will get that $1 back when reimbursed by the coupon manufacturer.  Revlon coupons are always finicky and often beep.  I'm almost certain the $2 coupon should work on nail polish as last time this deal was out with a $2 Revlon Color Cosmetic coupon the nail polish was included in the picture on the coupon.

          • Momma2LAM

            that's what I thought I understood!  thanks!

      • Cdg33

Doesn't matter what you get back in ECBs, shouldn't make a difference.  I go in with enough coupons sometimes to pay nothing and get ECBs back.  Next time speak to manager.  You will get to the point where you know who works when and at which CVS.  I can't stand it when cashiers make stuff up because they don't know what they are doing.  Even if you had a coupon that stated $4.99 off one Revlon nail color, you could have used it.  ECBs are from CVS, not from Revlon.

    • Benjamietaylor

there was a $1 off two 12 packs of Dr.Pepper on the diet Dr,Pepper. Got 4 packs of coke for $3

    • Mimimacmac

I am going to make my first cvs trip today or tomorrow and I am having a hard time getting my plan together. I know with it being my first trip and having no ECB that I will have to pay some OOP but the best plan I've come up with so far has me at almost $32 OOP and I feel like I can do better. Is there skilled CVSer out there that will email me and help me fine tune it? Mimimacmac@hotmail.com

      • Meginhull

The best way to have as little OOP as possible is to break purchases into several transactions, then using the ECB from those transactioins to fund other transactions. I try to keep to 3 transactions if possible. Using some of Jenny's sample transactions above give you an idea on how. I always have my transactions broken down prior to going to the store (and pray nothing is out of stock) and how ECB will be used and so forth. Good luck, it does take practice.

        • Mimimacmac

Thank you for your reply. I do have my list broken into 3 transactions I just don't know if I have broken them down the most efficient way.

          • Freedomspradley1

My rule of thumb is to only buy items that are at least 50% off (either sale price or  after ECB) and then coupons are just icing to my savings.  You don't have to buy all the deals, especially if it's not something you need/use.  When I first started couponing I tried to buy everything and ended up spending lots out of pocket.  Now I have a handle on what is a great deal and when I should pass and wait for a better deal.

      • ireneY

I've been CVSing for years and still mess up scenarios, especially when an item is out of stcik. Don't sweat the plan so much. Have a general idea of what you'd like to buy and keep the dollar amounts low to start. If you invest $32 OOP at first, you may regret holding onto that much ECB when the deals run dry. This is a fairly good week, buy the good stuff cycles through.

        • I mess up scenarios all of the time too! Just yesterday I fizzed with the nail polish and the coupons not going through and I paid more out of pocket than I could have. Oh well, it's all the same in the end!

      • Applegirl99

Break it up into multiple transactions and use the ECBs from the prior transaction for the next one and so forth.  This reduces the amount you will spend OOP.

    • Happy Feet

check your CVS.com card EB’s before you go shop111 they have nice surprises on

    • Applegirl99

Can you use the $2 off “Any Revlon Color Cosmetic Product” on the nail polish???

      • Gofast67

yes up to 6 limit.I wish i could find 4 more for myself – im in Gainesville florida.need help

      • Gofast67

yes they will take up to 6 coupons.I am in need of four of the 2 dollar off color cosmetic coupons.I am in gainesville florida if anyone has some spares.Need by saturday.

      • Stacyannw

the register will beep at the cashier and they may or may not push the coupon through for you, i had one store in my area not take the $2.00 off and 2 stores take the $2.00 off so you can atleast try it.

      • For me, it did NOT work. The cash register gives it an error and not everyone pushes it through.

    • Odinvsaver

check your email. i just received $5 off $25 purchase. use before memorial day!

      • Gofast67

i take that this is from cvs.How do you get on there e mail list?

        • Odinvsaver

go to cvs.com and click on extra care card link. then fill out the sign up information. they will ask for your email address and ecb card number fill it all out and you will start getting emails about coupons and promotions.

          • Gofast67

            thank you so much

      • That's awesome!

I wonder how they decide to send those out, though. I haven't gotten one yet, and since I'd already signed up back in December– I also missed out on the $4/ $20 that they're offering for new sign ups. :(

        • Check your spam box!!! I was SO frustrated they weren't coming in and found them in there. :)

so get this, i went to cvs to buy the revlon nail polish with my $2 off coupon. the register would not except my coupon and the cashier told me i couldn't get the deal. so i grabbed a 75% off revlon nail polish for 1.37 and the computer excepted my $2 off for that purchase. so my clearance nail polish was free. can anyone explain to me why the coupon would work for the clearance rev nailpolish but not the regular polish?

at my CVS the gas card deal did not work as I used coupons & the total was less than $30.  The work around is this (according to Wilmington NC CVS) option 1 call CVS Corp & complain & you will get a credit posted to your CVS ECB Account BUT it iwll take 2 days to post.  Option 2 is take $10 ECB now. (that's what I did)
