    • FreedomSpradley1

Great week with great deals!  Better get there early Sunday! :-)

      • br

Yeah, before all the hoarders wipe out the shelves….

        • Dtcox1

yes and my store in v a is getting tried of this says his good people cant get one are two now because of that show and people trying to do fraud he looks for a limit on coupons and items to come soon , makes it hard on us people trying to have a budget and save a little on a f-e-w- items a week

          • CJ

I go to cvs and rite aid every week.  I am always in there.  It is not always shelf clearers or hoarders.  In all my time going to these stores, I have yet to run into a shelf clearer or a hoarder, and I have been doing coupons for over two years.  You think I would have seen someone with a basketful on Sunday morning, but I haven't.  I go so much that I am friends with the cashiers.  I try to go to the store before the sale starts to see what they have.  I can tell you that rite aid had a deal with Ziplock bags a couple of weeks ago.  I think it was 2/$4.  There was also a vv coupon and manu. coupon you could use.  Do you know how many were on the shelf before the sale started?  They had 4.  So that means that only two people could get this deal.  I did the prep h deal this week at cvs.  Do you know how many were on the shelf before the sale started?  They had 3.  So that meant that only 3 people could get that deal.  So you see, the stores are also not stocking up their sale items.  I get one Sunday newspaper and only print the two computer coupons allowed.  So don't think I am defending myself, but please know I think the shelf clearers and hoarders are in a small number.  Most people are very respectful of other shoppers.  I always get rainchecks, and I like it better that way because it makes it easier to purchase enough items to use the $/$$ store coupons.  In fact, when they are out I am happy because I know in a few weeks I will have enough to use the $/$$ coupon.  Just wanted to let people know what they might not see, and I am sure the stores are glad to blaim the hoarders and shelf clearers.  That way they don't have to hear us complaining about them not stocking up for sales!!

            • FreedomSpradley1

I totally agree.  I’ve been couponing for a year and never witnessed a shelf clearer/hoarder.  I have been at CVS with other coupon shoppers before and it only takes 2 to 3 people to clear the shelf because the drug stores don’t stock like grocery stores.  You also have to remember that the ECB deals are a gimmick to get people in the door.  Just be happy the deal was ran and get a rain check if the shelf is empty.  In the end you still get the good deal.

            • Lori

You are so right!!  i live in a small town and we have only one CVS and it is very small so they don’t stock much at all . . . one good sale and by Sunday at noon the shelves are bare :(

        • Katkoupon

how do people wipe out the shelves when there is a limit of 1 and 2 on the good stuff?

          • AnsleyC

Some people have 2-3 cards by using their family members.

            • Katkoupon

that sucks, looks like the store could crack down a little more on that, idk, wishful thinking i guess. but at least the rainchecks work out great. i don't get upset when something is out anymore.

    • Carrie

There is also a saving star coupon for the All detergent for 1.00.

    • Crafty_cat_86

FYI, I don't know how the print limits work for recyclebank, but I just printed off (2) $1 off Honest Tea coupons, and I did that last week, aslo!

      • cs

i think its 2 (or 1 for some) a month

      • Tjmj9801

I must be missing something with RecycleBank.  It looks kind of complicated to use.  :/

        • daisyygrl

Me too, I signed up and cannot figure out how to print! I must be missing something! Any ideas??

      • Crafty_cat_86

I printed an honet tea coupon a total of 6 time in the past 7 days.

It seems a lot like Rite Aid's “video values”  where you take a quiz and get q's, it;s just that you have the middle marker of the points.  Do you do My Coke Rewards?  It;s a lot like that.  HTH!

Where do I get the All you Magazine?

      • mommabear

you can subscribe it or get it at walmart……….i bought one at walmart i think for a dollar something………has good coupons and recepies in it

Walmart is the only place other than a mail subscription to get All You.

      • You can subscribe or buy it at Walmart only.  They were on roll-back for $1.88!

      • Patti

Walmart has them it was 1.88

before :) im a florida publix shopper too :)

        • Peggy

At CVS, give them your 5 off 30 coupon before you give them any other coupons.  Once the total is less than $30, they will not accept it.  I hand them my coupons one at a time in the order I want them to enter them.

          • cs

this isnt true. I forgot one time and was like in the middle of the transaction and said shoot. The total was below the amount by that time but the cashier took it and scanned it and it still took it. She told me that it did not matter when you used it.

            • Peggy

You have better cashiers than I do.  Mine told me differently.

            • Crafty_cat_86

same thing happened to me: I forgot, but the cashier still scanned it just fine.  no beeps

Anyone know approximately how many Pampers Cruisers are in the $19.99 package?  I'm looking at size 5.  I'd like to compare cost per diaper with Amazon…

      • mom2idtwins

There are 56 in the box.  I buy the Amazon Fisher Price diapers at 13.99 for a box of 70 and free prime mom account w/2 day ship.  I have twins and the auto delivery is so nice.

        • Kelly

Thanks!  I just got some of the Pampers at CVS (using ECBS made them a little tiny bit cheaper than Amazon for me this time) and discovered that one of the two boxes (same size box) I bought had 46 diapers in it!  The other had 56, so I’m not sure what is going on…they were both labeled as 19.99 but one of the boxes rang up at 22.99 (I’m not sure which one it was, assuming it was the 56 one, but didn’t realize it at the time).  They adjusted it down for me, but that makes a big difference in the cost per dipe if they are switching from 56 to 46 per box.

    • Crzyjess07

Is the limit at cvs per visit, per transaction, or per card? This will be my first cvs trip.

      • Sarah

        per card

        • Is the limit for the day or for the week?? I have a bunch of ECB saved up so I was wanting to get a few packs of diapers….

          • Liz

the limits are per card per week.  you can use as many ECBs on one transaction as you want!  (as long as it stays above your pre-tax total).  one of the great things about CVS!

    • AnsleyC

I received a CVS coupon via snail mail for $2.50 off Goodnites. Should make for great Huggies deal for my toddler. :)

      • Meesh

Question: I posted on here earlier about spending $1.75 on toothpaste. A few of you commented that I could get it for free (which I totally have). I was wondering what items can I not expect to pay for? I am fairly new to this (a month in). I assume deodorant? Shampoo? I know that if you work hard enough for it, pretty much anything can be free, but what are the “easier” free things that you most commonly acquire?

      • if you go to http://www.southernsavers.com/learn/ and then download Jenny’s Buy List, you will see FREE listed next to items that you should not have to pay for – pretty awesome!

        • Meesh

I couldn't find the Buy List! mmpph.
@ everyone: thank you so much! you really helped!

      • couponing rocks!

I found toothpaste and toothbrushes & floss/flossers are some of the easiest things to get for free.  When I first started I didn't realize how easy it was to get free toothpaste and thought I was doing good to stock up at 1.00 or less.  Well, it wasn't too long that I had a lot of toothpaste & now I only buy it if I am making money on it (and usually only 1 or 2 for each deal) & still have probably a years supply.  Looks like everyone is getting toothpaste in their stocking this Christmas.

I'm usually happy to get deodorant, body wash, shampoo/conditioner for $1.00 or less (higher end brands), but I am sure if you really worked you could get it for cheaper.  For example – ban deodorant is .24 this week & I got a John Frieda shampoo and conditioner for free yesterday at Publix with coupons.  I just buy it one deal at a time and realize little by little my stockpile has grown.  You don't have to buy 10+ items of something to accumulate a stockpile…especially on toothpaste which takes forever to use a tube up.

      • cs

the gillette razors while not free you can get for around 1 to 2 dollars. toothbrushes are another freebie, candy, drinks, (not coke or pepsi lol) deo, shampoo, umm ive actually have gotten almost anything in a drugstore free at some point except for allergy tablets.

      • cvs lady

I never pay for toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, shampoo, scunci/goody's rubber bands, razors, deodorant.  I pay very little to nothing for shaving cream.  These are the easiest things for me to get free, just off the top of my head.

      • Liz

        http://www. southernsavers. com/learn

Click on the Buy Price Guide.  Jenny lists all the things you “should” be able to get for free along with some other item's rock bottom prices.

      • ireneY

There's a lot of things free that you might find useless, like Preparation H, eye drops, supplements, etc., but those things keep your ECB rolling along from week to week. In addition to all the great items others have listed below, you'll probably find lots of chocolate, drinks, pain relievers, feminine pads, cosmetics, lotions, lip balms… the list gets longer every week! =]

      • These are the things I find easy to get free (meaning I get them free so much that I either pass them up sometimes or get them just to donate):  Toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, floss, mustard, bbq sauce, salad dressing, croutons, pasta, yogurt, cat treats

      • Srhine85

It depends on if stores double coupons or not. Most personal care items you can get for free at drug stores. However, there are some food items that I cannot get for free simply because in FL, they don't double coupons.

If the Schick Hydro 3 or 5 razors are B1G1 can i use 2 $3.00 off coupons in 1 transaction? Thanks in advance!!

      • Liz

yep, you are getting 2 items, so you are allowed 2 coupons.  one coupon per item.

      • Yes, you can use 2 coupons for b1g1 free at CVS.  Rite Aid however has changed their policy and now only allows 1 coupon for B1G1.

    • Kimmie

on the large scenario- where did she get the -5 ecb from? or just assuming we already have it to use? haha

      • Jess

Yeah, Its assuming you have some from last week :)

      HELP :)

      • Brandi

There is a limit of 2 on the toothbrushes (Trans2) and a limit of 1 on the Huggies.

    • Smash485

Anyone know how many mnf coupons cvs will take per transaction?

      • Srhine85

I would assume there isn't a limit and it would work fine as long as you have only one coupon per item.

    • Lmlogan1

Hi i was justt wondering where the vitamin water tearpad could be found?? Thank y'all

    • Jayli

When something has a limit of 2 does that mean you can buy 2 in one transaction and get the ECBs for that product twice? For example, could I buy 2 Excedrin 8ct at $.99ea and get back 2 $.99 ECBs?

      • Brandi

Yes, you would get a $1.98 ECB for that transaction (if those were the only 2 items in that transaction).

        • Jayli

          Ok, thanks!

      • Yes

    • Faye

On the Gas Card Deal – Could I buy 12 M&M's at $2.50 each for the gas card or does CVS limit the amount I can purchase of one item?  I know the gas card is limit one but was wondering if the products are limited?

      • Danyeln

in prior weeks they haev had a posted limit on each item and Jenny posted them here as well.  If they are not posted it appears that there are not limits on these items.

      • Kendra Brown

If there is a linit, just go several times during the week. I will say that last week on the Coke limit they let me get more than the 4-limit of Cokes, but I had to check out several times. Just make sure if someone's behind you you let them advance and ask the store first. The store actually asked me, so I was blessed!

      • Kcreviews

I just looked at the ad on iheartcvsdotcom and there were no limits on any of the items.

      • jhoran

There's no limits on this sunday's ad, however on the last two weeks there were limits but it all depends on the store manager….my store did not do limits, so I got 10 dryers icecream the first week.

      • Ktoetag

If you click on the 2/$5 M&M's it says limit 4 at the bottom.

Does that mean you can get 4 bags for $10 or 8 bags for $20 in one shot?
        I have (3) $1.50 off of 2 bags.

    • karen

      Thanks Jenny

    • kristie

can you use two manufacturer coupons on one product if they came from two different sources

      • Danyeln

NO, you cna only use 1 manufacturer coupon per item.  If there is a store coupon also available you may usually use that too.

    • Gina

I was just wodering if you can use your ecoupon from Upromise or SavingStar and use regular coupon to get more savings….

      • cs

the ecoupons from upromise and savingstar do not come off at the register. They are in put into an account where you can request the money be sent to you at a certain time.

    • Chic_surfs

Where are you people getting TOOTHBRUSH coupons lol? And, what stores are the best to get free toiltet paper too at?  I only have 1.00 or 1.50 off coupons for TP so how do you get it for free? I'm not really seeing on this site where it teaches you how to get things for free?

      • Mooream

Anything marked with an acorn by it is free or super cheap! Just follow the directions under the item listing for which coupon to use and you will get it for very little. Most of the toothbrush coupons appear to be in this Sunday's paper, so we will all have to wait. I am new to all of this, but this site is awesome! I have saved a ton in only a month! I saw Cottonelle at Walgreens at the first of May for a little over $2 for a big pack…probably the best I have seen in the short time I have been doing this. Just keep watching. The deals will come!

      • FreedomSpradley1

The sales cycle so everything isn't free every week.  I've been couponing for a year now and I only got free TP once (4pk @ bi-lo w/ B1G1 + coupons).  I've gotten really cheap TP at CVS but that deal only comes around a couple times a year so you have to stock up when it hits.  The toothbrush deals are pretty common so don't fret, within 6 months your bathroom cabinets will be overflowing with free toothbrushes and toothpaste.

      • Srhine85

I have typically been able to get the best toilet paper deal at CVS with the Charmin brand. There were $1 off coupons one time and then a deal where you got so many ECB when you spent a certain amount. Combine that with a CVS coupon of $4 of 5 off $20 and that is typically when you get a good deal on TP. Definitely doesn't happen more than a few times a year, if that.

      • carrie

I used to wonder about free toilet paper when I started couponing as well, but I've come to the conclusion that people aren't really getting it for free.  My theory is that they buy things that will give them ECBs and RRs in return then turn around and use these same ECBs and RRs to get toilet paper for “free”.  I don't consider that as really free since they had to buy something to receive these ECBs and RRs in the first place.  If anyone else has any thoughts, I would love to hear them.

        • Ive gotten real “FREE” toilet paper and paper towels with coupons. Especially with the Marcal TP & PT Qpons. They went onsale at 10 for 10 at FOOD LIONand Marcal had a $1 coupon. So I got 10, because I had 10 coupons. ( Bought 10 papers). Now when I see a good deal, I'll hunt for the Q from a clipping service to make an even bigger dent in our toiletry bill. It does happen. Of course, when your using RRs' instead of cash, its still “really free”, because an item you bought anyway, pretty much paid for the next item. Its win win.!

What is the advantage of doing separate transactions for your purchases, other than using the ECB from a previous transaction on the next? I'm pretty new to this but I currently have $17 ECB from last week and was planning on using them with coupons and a $4 off $20 cvs coupon to pay for my purchases that will generate ECB of the same or greater amount. Can I use 5 different ECB in one transaction? Can I just do all this in one transaction? I was mainly aiming for the toothpaste/brushes, mouthwash, exesrin and some John Frieda.

      • cs

I plan on doing them all in one transaction because i have a $4 off 20 coupon, and around $15 ecb myself. You can use 5 different ecb in one transaction. The separate transactions are good if you have little to no ecb.  Just be sure to add the -5 ecb that she has in the first transaction when your doing your totals in your head or before you go.

      • FreedomSpradley1

You can do it either way (all at once or separate transactions).  The $ off $$ coupons are more common for new shoppers so we can't all plan around them.  Consider yourself LUCKY!!

      • Kendra Brown

Another advantage is that if you use a bag tag, break your purchases up into several days and you “make” 25 cents a day (A $1 ECB print for every 4 redemptions)!

        • carrie

What are you spending in gas and time for this, though?

          • Inferno4915

For me, it costs me nothing in gas since I pass CVS and Walgreens on my way to and from work anyway :)

    • Kendra Brown

Anyone have a zip for the CVS Wrigley's Extra Gum q?

    • Saveusgreen

I'm new to couponing at CVS… what is a bag tag?  Thanks!

      • Kat

It's a small tag, usually up by the registers, that you can attach to your reusable shopping bag.  It costs 99 cents.  Everytime you shop there, after they scan your items (at least 1) they scan that tag.  After every 4th time it's scanned, you earn $1 ECB.  A couple of weeks ago their coupon kiosk was printing a coupon for a free bag tag..so watch for those.  They will also have ECBs for them sometimes, making them free.  It's good to have, if you shop there weekly, and also if you can remember your bag..unlike me! :)

        • Kmartin1085

There is a coupon printing this week at the kiosk for 50cents off the bag tag. :)My store was out of tags but assured me that if I kept the coupon they would honor it when they get more in!

          • Ktoetag

I had a free bag tag that expired 5/31, but at two stores they told me they were short and would honor it when they came it.  They got them 6/2 and gave it to me.

Put the tag on your keyring, and even if you forget to bring your bag, you can just carry out your items.  Then you never forget!

Anyone known if the Dunkin Turbo is included in the sale?

      • guest

*know (sorry, not enough coffee this morning, ha)

        • Inferno4915

At my CVS, ALL the DD flavors/types were included.  Hope that helps.

    • Lafaye247

supposedly the Bounty Facebook page is giving away $5.00 coupons every friday in june…starting today at 11:00 am….if so, it'll make the paper towels .99! :) i'm waiting around til 11:00 to see if i can get one :) just fyi!

      • Lafaye247

Just saw that it's not a printable coupon….you have to wait on it to be sent to you :( so, you can't use it for this week's deal, but it's still a great coupon!!

    • Guest

Be sure to check your email cause I just received a $4 off a purchase of $20 or more! It expires this Sunday though.

      • Julie

When in the transition is it best to use the $4.00 off coupon? Before I give the cashier my coupons or after?

        • Zinniasgive

You'll want to give them the $$ off coupon first, then the coupons last.

    • Q-Savvy

Is this vitiam water deal different from last week?  Can I do it again this week??

    • Kmartin1085

I got an email yesterday coupon for $5 off $30.  Will work out great with my diaper buy this week!

      • Lyndonsa3

I'm trying to figure out how I can do this transaction…the last time I went to CVS I left crying I was so overwhelmed.  There program is a little confusing to me and I'm used to using Walgreens.  If I buy 6 things of Pampers will they give me all of the ECBS and let me use the 5 off 30?

        • cs

if the total before coupons is $30 then yes. and you can buy 6 things and get all the ecbs. You don't have to break it down like you do at walgreens. if the limit is 2 and you buy 2 of that item in the same purchase you get the ecb for both. It adds them together though so if it was a $2 ecb and you bought 2 then you would get a $4 ecb instead of 2 $2 ecb. You can also turn around and spend the ecb you get from one item onto the exact same item in the next transaction.

        • Gingiraffe

Just remember the Limits.  You can only get the ECBs the limited amount of times per week per card.  So if you buy 6 Pampers, you will only get the ECBs on 2 because that is the limit.  But at $19.99 each, you only need two to get your total over $30 for your $5 off coupon.  Your total is before coupons for the $5 off $30.  I always hand my $ off coupons to the cashier first, but one time I forgot and they said it didn't matter what the order was.  So I would buy 2 boxes of Pampers, use your $5 off, any Pampers coupons you have that apply, any ECBs from previous purchases and then you will get a $7 ECB on your receipt.  Or with the card, it tracks your deals, so you could spit the transaction by buying one box of Pampers, other items worth $10 (preferrably items that give ECBs), then use your $5 off coupon along with any other coupons for the diapers and other items you buy, then get ECBs to turn around and spend on a separate transactions for another box of diapers and get another $3.50 ECBs.  Make sense?  If you read the bottom of your receipt it tells you what deals you have done for the week, what you need to fulfill remaining deals that you have started, etc.

    • Alpaniag

Hi everyone, I'm new to this I was wonderring if yall can help me out. on the 'DEAL IDEA” Iinstead of buying the Bounty Basic paper towels can I buy the Charming basic 12ct ($5.49)? and the Procter and Gamble deal it means I'll get 1 Gillet razors free and 1 for .89. and with this deal I wont get any ECB'S right? Thank you!!

      • Yes as long as you buy $30 in the P&G items, you will get the free Gillette razor.  I'm not sure why you are talking about 2 razors though since they aren't included in the participating items.  And yes, there are no ECBs with that transaction.

        • Alpaniag

ok, thank you, and I'm just going with the whole “deal idea” thing. So thats not right? about the razor being participating item.

          • Gingiraffe

The razor is what you get free instead of getting ECB.  You have to buy $30 of the other items to get the razor free, but you can still use a coupon on the razor to take off your total.

    • Stephanie

Does anyone know where I get the CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine and/or CVS Coupon Sheet for the Nature Made and Nature's Bounty $3 off coupons?

      • Bamacat

The Reinventing Beauty Magazines are near the door where the CVS sales papers are in my store.  Check that someone hasn't removed the coupons before you buy, though.

    • Keywestbiscuit

I was so excited to get a new coupon for 25% off up to $99 print out at the CVS red box that I decided to take this opportunity to stock up on supplements along with my couponing. My before coupon total was $106.99 and $47.92 cash OOP. The 25% off was only $2.08. I handed this coupon in first. Big disappointment and I do not know why it was so little. The fine print is the same as that on every ECB. The register then printed another coupon for 30% off up to $99, not as excited this time.

      • Isu2014

It only works on items that are not on sale, which is usually very little at CVS.

      • Peggy

In addition to only counting on sales items, If you use any CVS coupons (I'm not sure about manufacturer coupons), they will subtract that amount before the discount applies.

    • Dadams420

I am wondering if there is a limit per card how could someone go get more another day? For ex cokes r a limit this wk of 4. Can I go several times and get more even thou I AM USING SAME CARD?
      Thanks Cindy

      • no

      • Sheila

it depends on if the item is tracked at the bottom of your receit. All ECB are tracked that way but the cokes were not. You were limited to 4 per transactioin so I went 4 days to pick up the deal.  If no ECB are attached to the deal you can do multiple times.

    • Dadams420

I am wondering if there is a limit per card how could someone go get more another day? For ex cokes r a limit this wk of 4. Can I go several times and get more even thou I AM USING SAME CARD?

      • Swmail

If it says Limit 1 then you can only get 1 on that card for that week, but you can get another card I have one for each person in my family. Just becareful you don't mix them up. It tells on the end of your receipt if your limit has been reached.

        • Guest

I called CVS.  The extracare card is one per household.

    • Rdlanier98

Got an email from CVS and for completing a short survey, I got $5 in ECB!!! AWESOME!!!

    • <smack forehead>

Oh, I feel sick. I just threw away a coupon that had printed from the CVS machine last week that was $4 off diapers and wipes.  Could've paired it…

      • Prsol

        Check your e-mail. I got a coupon for $4off / $20!
Maybe you can use it to make up for the one you lost? :(
The coupon is good through Sunday, June 5.

    • Cchhouen

SavingStar and Ecoupons – what are they and how do I use them?  Thanks.

      • Mcleodsc

go to http://www.savingstar.com and sign up
I do not know about ecoupons-I will have to search for it.

      • Mcleodsc

go to http://www.savingstar.com and sign up
I do not know about ecoupons-I will have to search for it.

      • cvs lady

Go to the SavingStar link Jenny provides and sign up there.  You select the coupons you want, input your grocery and drug store card numbers and the coupons load to your card.  The money doesn't come off at the register, instead accrues in an account.  The website explains it well, plus Jenny did a post awhile back about it.

      • Lori

Has anyone received their savings from Savingstar yet?  My account is still at zero, but I know I bought stuff that was on that list…

    • Cchhoeun

      And get them?

    • Maximus_Aurelius

I'm sure it is listed somewhere, but can someone please remind me how CVS processes B1G1 deals? I can't remember if it is a) 50% off each item, need only buy 1 item; or b) 1st item full price, 2nd item “free”, but 2 items required.

      • cvs lady

Just like Walgreen's, the first item is full priced, the second item rings up for zero, so you need to buy both to get the deal.  Also, you can use 2 coupons.

        • Maximus_Aurelius

    • Pipicriket_79

OK, I need help!!! I have been seeing all of these booklets and home mailers to get coupons, but HOW DO YOU GET THEM!?!?! Where do you get a Kroger Home mailer, or Smart Market Home mailer, or Because of You PG home mailer, or Get More from your Pharmacy booklet, or 125 Years of Summer Fun Booklet, and all the other ones that this site shows! Oh and where in the world do you get a CVS Coupon Sheet?? I called the store, they had no idea what it was! Its drivin' me crazzzy! LOL, I want IN! Someone help me out please, Thanks!!

      • jhoran

Kroger home mailer – register kroger card on-line, but its a hit or miss because it has to do with your spending habits. Get more from your pharmacy – Kroger pharmacy.  P&G mailers – sign up on P&G site. Most of the bookles you will receive in the mail has to do with signing up on the manufacturer's website and a lot of the times it comes from monitoring this site and others to see who's giving out coupon booklets. Cvs coupon sheet is found in “reinventing beauty” magazine which is sold for .99 in store..found in the beauty section on a magazine rack or by the register.  If you follow the blogs on this site you will be able to find out where people are getting these booklets.

    • DorkandShorty04

I need diapers and Transaction # 4 sounds awesome but how is the total in the end only a $1.48? Also yes like a week ago I signed up for the Cvs card. Can some one please explain.

      • DorkandShorty04

Ok also I would like to know how many times I would be able to do this transaction??

        • Gingiraffe

If you are new to CVS, it may help to read through Jenny's “Getting Started” guide.  To get the deal in transaction #4 at that cost (remember that is before taxes – you still have to pay tax on the full value) you would have to do the other transactions to get the ECB to use to knock the price down to $1.48 and use the coupons she shows in the scenario.  Or use some other ECB that you might already have.  The Huggies deal is LIMIT 1, which means you will only get the ECB back once with your card.  You can still get them for the sale price minus coupons for another transaction, but the ECBs will not print.  You have to scan your card at the register when you check out to get the deal price and the ECBs that print out at the end of your receipt.  You can also scan your card at the red machine in the store to get additonal coupons.  Hope that helps!

          • DorkandShorty04

Ok lol so I need to do all 4 transactions?

            • cs

just be aware that if you dont have any starting ecb that the first transaction has -5 ecb listed so if you have none it will be $5 more then her total.

      • Leevic40

You will need to get the $7.00ECB from Scenario #3. These scenarios she gives are one shopping trip. They are not individual scenarios. If you only do scenario 4  you will pay $8.48 because you did not get the $7.00 ECB from Scenario #3 to use in your transaction.  With CVS, while you are at the register, you may have several transactions.  Hope this helps

    • Tanya

I saw a couple of coupons listed for competitors coupons.  Does CVS  now accept competitor's coupons??

      • Shannonw1983

im in nashville, nc and my cvs does not

      • Sandy

Per policy no. I didn't see any listed, so if there is some it's either a mistake or it's a manufacturer coupon that has a store logo on it.

      • Danyeln

You might want to ask at your store.  A couple months ago one of my local stores put up computer printed signs that said “Starting April 1 we will only be accepting Walgreens and Rite Aid competitor coupons”  This is not the store I normally shop at so I have no idea who they were accepting before that.

    • Kaysi

can anyone tell me a zip for the lamisil?

    • lc

If I used my limit 1 for the powerade last week, can i use it again this week?  Is it considered a new week?

      • cs

I would wait till you do one transaction and see what it says at the bottom of the receipt

      • couponing rocks!

It looks like it is a different deal because the deal code on the flyer is different.

    • daisy

Dole Fruit Cups coupon in SS 5-15-11

      Excedrin coupon CVS coupon machine

    • Sillysnicks

There is a CVS store printable coupon for $1 off Banana Boat sunscreen you can pair with the manufacturers coupon for the ECB deal.  It can be found at cvs dot com  click on in-store coupons.  I was able to print 2 so I will get $4 off!

      • Zinniasgive

Is the printable one a manuf. coupon? Haven’t printed any from the cvs.com site yet, but it looks like it might be?

      • Cayoung_8

hopefully they will scan both but I think that coupon said limit 1 per transaction…but since they track then you can do separate transactions if needed.

        • Sillysnicks

Yes, I had to do 2 transactions but it was worth it, I found a family size pump bottle of 50 spf 50% more.

    • Heather

All Laundry Det is still cheaper @ Kroger. It is on sale again this week so with 1$ coupon it is 1.99

    • Amber

I saw on the Saving Star account a coupon for All Oxi-Active laundry detergent, so that would work for the All detergent on sale, unless the sale is not for the Oxi-Active.

      • Heather

If that is the case if you have a Kroger I would think it would make more sense to get it from there you use Manu 1$ off plus the Saving Star puts 1.00 in your account and only 1.99 out of pocket… no?

    • Stacyannw

I just went to cvs to finnish up a couple of things from last week and to get milk and the excedrin and i just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a couple of things i noticed.  The first is about the smartwater deal, if you are trying to finish up the current ads deal you may have to have them go back and print your ecb, i got 1 smartwater to finnish the 5 for this week and it didnt print my ecb, i showed the cashier my last recipt showing where i only needed one for the deal and she went back in and gave me my ecb, not sure if she took off the 1 from next weeks deal but i will find out tomorrow.  Also I had to ask for the 8 ct excedrin and the manager had to go to the back to get it for me, so if you dont see it anywhere ask.

    • mrs. b

Just went to CVS where the new ad started at 4pm. Found a $1 off Ban coupon on the ban products. So look and see if you see one and use that instead of the .75 cent coupon. Also, I asked my store manager about the Excedrin and they said they never got them in. They only had the 24+ count. Will try another CVS tomorrow on my way to Walgreens. To make up for the .99, I found the hand santizing wipes on clearence for .25 each. Got 4 of those and they are great for the car or diaper bag! The diaper deal worked out great also. Instead of getting the Huggies 64ct wipes, I got the 72ct and that was also 2.99. So check on that as well! Happy Shopping!!

    • Shelley

I received a $4 off $20 cvs coupon via email.  Can I use that on a $19.99 item?  Or will I need to find a filler?

      • Damalulu

Find a filler. It won't work.

    • Damalulu

I went to Jenny's class the other night in Montgomery, AL. Please go if you have one in your area cause she is the best!  I have a question for someone, anyone. She said if you still had the “white CVS” card you were lucky. I do have one, but I don't remember what the said about it that makes you lucky. Anyone know?

      • Eae1959

Just registered for her class in July in Fl….can't wait.

      • Saver

When I had one it automatically enabled you to get an extra discount on CVS brand products.  I've since changed health plans at work and even though I still use the white card, mine doesn't appear to be active for the discounts now.

      • Brenda

I was at that workshop also in Montgomery. Jenny is incredible and it was worth every minute because I learned so much!! The white card was to get an extra discount that is not offered with the red card. Jenny is truly an inspiration!

    • gagirl

Can anyone tell me if I can do this?

Gillette Body wash on sale for $3.99
If i buy 2, and use a coupon for b1g1 (sunday paper 6/05)
& a coupon for $2.00 off. The total should be about $2.00 for both

Gillette Deodorant is on sale for Buy one Get one 50% off
      When I buy 2 can i use a b1g1 free and a $1.00 off?

      • jessica

yes one bogo for two items and the item paid for you use the 2.00off 1 good job:)

      • Cayoung_8

yes but only if the bogo coupon does not end in 14.  If the bogo coupon ends in 14 then it attaches to both items and you cannot use another coupon for the “non free” item….

      • Lori

The coupons end in 14, but I had no problem doing this earlier today.  Didn't even beep!  I verified with the cashier first that I could use a B1G1 and a $ coupon on the same two items.  He actually knew the coupon policy, and warned me about using two $ coupons on a B1G1 sale, but that did not apply to what I was doing.

On the B1G50, I'm guessin you won't be able to use the B1G1 coupon. Paige would know best.

        • Lori

Ooops, sorry!  I thought I was reading the Rite Aid thread!

At CVS, my experience has been that if it ends in 14, it attaches to both items.  If it does not end in 14, you can also use a $ coupon.  On the B1G50, you would be able to use the B1G1, but the 50% off item becomes free, so you have to decide if it is worthwhile, or if you should use 2 $ coupons.

    • Rachel

Check the bottom of your CVS receipt for special coupons.  Yesterday, a special CVS coupon printed below my ECB.  I received a $5.00 CVS gift card for simply stopping by the pharmacy to meet anyone on the pharmacy staff.  Thanks, CVS!

    • Tndiamondjess

I am new to couponing and have decided to focus on CVS for the first couple weeks and get a feel for things. The past two weeks I have not received an email about the current week's sale prices until Thursday but BOTH emails have included a $5 off coupon for a purchase over a certain amount. So I wanted to let everyone know to sign up for emails so you can get those coupons!

I'm planning a trip of around $60 before manufacturer coupons and ECB's from last week so I'm going to wait until Friday to go to see if I get another coupon for $5 off in my email on Thursday. Does anyone know if those $5/$35 or $5/$40 printable CVS coupons mean $35 or $40 before manufacturers coupons and ECBs are taken off or is it after? I couldn't really find anything on the coupon itself about that. Thanks so much!!

      • cs

its before. be careful if you got a coupon this past thursday, it expires sunday.

        • tndiamondjess

Thanks :-) I noticed that it expires today I wish they made them valid for longer. If I can't swing the trip today hopefully I'll get another coupon in my email Thursday.

          • andrea

ask if they will still take them… some stores do!
where i used to live they would accept expired cvs q's up to 3 months past and my store here will take them if its within a couple days of expiring, so it never hurts to find out :)

    • where would I find the “Get More from your Pharmacy” coupon book?  I have looked and asked several places.

      • Danyeln

The only place I have seen anyone mention finding them is at the Kroger Pharmacy.

        • Don’t usually shop there, but will go to try and find that coupon book.  Thanks! : )

    • LMousa

Anyone else not finding the Blink coupon from RP 5/22???

    • I think there is another Savingstar $1.00 of the All Detergent available

    • Michelle K

Do you get $$ off with the saving star ecoupon or just $$ added into your savingstart account? will the deal work with pullups also? Can I use the $3 off coupon on pullups or does it have to be diapers?

      • Lilgeegee29710

Added to your account BUT once your account reaches a min, $5 then you can choose to have it deposited to your bank or paypal account..great deal!

    • mzmom0ney

In the large scenario above, where is the $5 ECB coming from? a previous week perhaps. someone please explain.

      • Lilgeegee29710

I was wondering the same exact thing!  Either way it's still too good to pass up..lol

      • Danyeln

Yep those are what is left from last week.  If you notice, Jenny posts how many ECBs are left over in her transactions at the very end.  If you follow exactly you will have those left over to start next week's transactions.

    • Raynascoupon

can someone tell me how much the reg price for Schick Hydro 3 or Hydro 5 Razor 1ct., or Cartridges 4 ct. are?

      • Lilgeegee29710

The ones I got last week at CVS were somewhere around 10 bucks but they were b1g1 and I was able to use 2/$3 off Q's..made it $4 for both:)

      • andrea

        i think i saw the 3blade for 8.99 and the 5 was either 9.99 or 10.99…

      • Amber

I'm in Augusta, GA, and the Hydro 3 is $9.79.  The Hydro 5 is $10.79.  Just bought some last week.

        • AJ

Are razors considered a “cosmetic” and could you use the $3 off $10 cosmetics coupon that has been printing out of the red box?

    • Crafty_cat_86

I went to my store last night and they said they don't start the new ad until Sunday, now (instead of switching over Sat. evening).  They said it was a new (corporate?) policy.  Good thing the John Frieda is a month long deal.  Anyone else have this troubel?

      • I was told the same thing at my very helpful CVS, on a good note I realized the store opened at 7 on Sunday.  Luckily for me I don't think ANYONE shops the deals at CVS at this store.  I can go 5 days in and still get the deals I want, of course I still go Sunday.

      • Hailey Hurst 22

Nope. I called yesterday and my store starts at 4pm Saturday and starts switching over tags, removing the old tags.

      • me

Stores that close  can start the ad as early as 4, but supposed to be 6 pm on Saturday so they have time to hang all the signs before they open on Sunday.  24 hour stores have  been told not to start the ad til midnight, as they have staff in the store all night to hang the ad signs.

    • Abc79teach

Ok I have been out of the loop for a while trying to raise 3 kids while my husband is gone on military duty and I have been sick myself and hospitialized some so I am just getting back into the swing of couponing (that we so need) and I have saw where some of you are talking about the “savings star account”?  Is this the quarterly thing ere you get extra care bucks back on the items you buy from CVS?

      • Deena

Go to savingstar.com and register your store loyalty card numbers and select the q’s that you want, when you buy that product the money goes into your account (it does not come off at the register) when you reach a $5 balance you can cash out for different things including amazon gift cards or have $ sent to your paypal account.  HTH.

        • Abc79teach

Thanks a bunch for your help…this is why I love our Southern Savers family :)

      • cs

its a new site called savingstar basically you load your card with coupons. The money then is put into an account when you redeem that coupon and after you reach $5 you can ask to get the money

        • Abc79teach

Thanks a bunch…every penny can help now:)

      • tarabj

It's a new program unassociated with CVS. You sign up for Saving Star & activate coupons each month. You must type your card numbers for each grocery and drug store that you use.

When you get $5 in your Saving Star account, you can cash out for checks or gift certificates.

        • Abc79teach

Thanks a bunch for your help:)

    • Caseyh15

Has anyone done the Gas Card deal???  I really don't need 30 worth of candy in my house!!

    • Mandy

can anyone explain to me how upromise works? does the coupon amount actually come off the purchase?

      • cs

no it goes into your upromise account which when you want you can send the amount you have earned to yourself in a check  from the upromise website.

      • tarabj

No, it goes into a special account to be used for your own or your child's college fund. Or grandchild.

      • Deena

I don't know a lot about upromise but I do know that NO MONEY comes off at the register, it accumulates in your account to be used for college expenses for you or someone you designate it to.  I don't know if you can use the money for anything other than college expenses.

    • cs

so happy with my trip today. Did the above scenarios except the diaper one all together in one big one. went in with $10 ecb plus the magic machine printed a $5 ecb from the beauty club, a 6.00 off revlon coupon, and a $3 off $10 makeup coupon. I spent .31 out of pocket (added a $10 revlon lipstick to the scenarios) and came out with $23 ecb. so I made $13 dollars in the long run.

The Loreal Lip is $3 ECB when you spend $10 That is not stated in the list above! You would have to buy two lip products, use two $2off coupons.
      Total 10.00
      -4.00 coupons
=6.00 OOP with $3 ECB for a total of $3.00 or 1.50 each

    • Liz28372

how do i get the manufacture coupon?

    • Susan

This morning I got a $3 off $10 worth of cosmetics when I scanned my card.  I paired that with the L'oreal sale/coupons and it was only $1 for 2 lip glosses!

      • Anonymous

        me too!  loves it!

    • LMousa

Had a great day at CVS! After my first transaction a $5 off $15 printed out so I only ended up paying pennies for all 3 of my transactions and got $8 ECB back. I had a horrible time at Walgreens today! Think i'll stick with CVS from now on!

    • couponing rocks!

Another great week at CVS…essentially they paid me to take out over 35.00 worth of stuff.

      5 Powerade Zeros @ 1.00 each = 5.00
      2 Oral B Pulsars @ 6.00 each = 12.00
      2 Crest Pro-Health Mouth Wash @ 4.50 each = 9.00
      2 Colgate 360 toothbrushes @ 2.79 each = 5.58
      4 Ivory Soap 3 pack @ .99 each = 3.96
      Tax = 2.76
Total before Coupons after tax = 38.30

      5.00 of 30.00 coupon e-mailed from CVS (5.00)
B1G1 Powerade Coupon (Printable from a while back) = (1.00)
3 Free Powerade Coupons (My Coke Rewards) = (3.00)
      2 – 3.00 Oral B Coupons (6.00)
      2 – 2.00 Crest mouthwash coupons (4.00)
      2 – .75 Colgate 360 toothbrush coupon (1.50)
      4 – 1.00 Ivory Soap coupon (4.00)
      10.00 in ECB's from last week (10.00)
      Total OOP = 3.80

      Net Cost:
      Total OOP = 3.80
      Plus: ECB's used = 10.00
      Less: ECB's Received = (17.00)
      Net Cost (Profit) = ($3.20)

      LOVE CVS!

    • when I scanned my extra care card at the red box, I got a $3 off $10 in cosmetics, which I was able to use in conjunction with a $4/$20 email coupon to purchase what I needed to qualify for the free razor deal. Definitely a good day at CVS!

    • Jsherard12

Am I crazy, or has anyone else encountered this problem: Last week, I saw on this website that CVS was offering $1 ECB when you purchase milk.  I went in to buy it last week, only to be shown in the ad that milk was on sale, but offered NO ECBs.  This week Southern Savers says the same thing…but the ad does not.  Is this just a mistake, or could my area not be offering this deal??

      • Paige

She put on there that it is a regional deal and to make sure to check your ad for your area. It must not be in your area.  It is not in mine either!

        • Jsherard12

Thanks!  I am glad I am not losing my mind!

      • Anonymous

Milk deals are regional.  They don’t have ECB in our area either.

    • Coppertopp

Stopped by the new CVS they are building by Lexington High School (Lex. SC) and they are expecting to be open by Saurday. Can't wait!

    • Mariamutola

where do I get the 6/5 PG coupon book..??

      • pattieX

I believe it's the one in today's inserts.

      • Adrianbaker5414

        sunday newspaper

    • pattieX

I am sure this is here, but the kids are in a “mood” and I don't have time to search.  For the deals like spend $15 on Dove and get $5 ECB – is that $15 before or after coupons?

    • Brooke Clark

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but I'll say it anyway :-)
One of the printout coupons at CVS was $3 off of $10 worth of cosmetics. If you get the 2 for $12 Covergirl lip colors with the $5 off coupon and the printout, you only pay $2 each. It also was enough to knock me into the $50 mark for my next beauty club rewards so I'm pretty happy!

      • Yeppers! I discovered this too. Definitely a good deal! I used my purchases to count towards qualifying for the free razor.

      • Julie

I also got that coupon, plus a $6 off of Revlon ColorStay, which had a deal where you get $4 ECB WYB $10 worth of product. The foundation I bought was $14.29. I used the $3 off of $10, plus the $6 off, brought it down to $5.29, then I got $4 in ECB, so I paid $1.29 for it. If I was smart I would have also remembered to use the $2 off any Revlon purchase coupon that I had and would have made money on it!

        • Teaguewoman

Is the Revlon ECB deal still going or is that from last week?

      • Rdpitts

I got the same coupon and did the same thing! It also bumped me up to another beauty club rewards too!

    • Josamky63

I went to CVS this morning I think I did ok.  I did mess up on a transaction, but that was my fault.  I bought (1) Colgate Max Fresh TP, (2) Oral-B Pulsar TB, (2) Colgate 360 TB (this is where I messed up I didn't get the 2 pack) , no Excedrine, (2) Crest Pro Health MW, (1) Ban Deodrant, (1) Huggies Supreme NB Diapers, (1) Huggies Wipes (be careful on this one I didn't get my savingstar $3.00, cause I didn't buy the snug and dry diapers.  They didn't have newborn size in the snug and dry ones).  Total spent $13.74 total saved $44.76.  I have $2.00 ECB for next week!!

    • Coupongal18

I will have to say that today's trip was the best I've ever done (been couponing since February!) Super stoked!!!!

      Here's what I did:
I just did one transaction because of the amount of ECB's I had left over from last week!

      (1) Ban Solid Deodorant
      (2) Oral B Pulsar Toothbrushes
      (2) Crest Prohealth Mouthwash
      (1) Colgate 260 toothbrush
      (1) Colgate toothpaste

      Total before anything: $33.95

Total OOP: $1.13!!!!! Plus, I have $17 in ECB to use next week!!!! So excited – and I'm probably going to go ack to get some diapers. I usually don't like Huggies but we are going to try them!!!!!

Here are the coupons I used for today's :
-$4.00/$20 purchase (for signing up acctoung online)
      (2) -$3.00/Oral B toothbrush
      (2) -$2.00/Crest mouthwash
      (1) -$0.75/Colgate toothpaste
      (1) -$1.00/Colagete 360 toothbrush
      -$2.00 ECB (last week)
      -$10.00 ECB (last week)

      LOVING CVS!!!!!!!

      • You did about what I did with a few variations.  I did not double up on the items, got contact solution (3.00 Revitalise in todays paper, I don't think Jenny mentioned or it was regional.  I spent 12.00 OOP and got 16.98 in ECB on my first trip today.  I know I could have done multiple transactions and reduced OOP but just about 17.00 left to spend I am super happy.

Then I went to another CVS with hubbys Card did it again and then got all Loreal Face Cream for 6.00 and still have 3.98 in ECB.

Still going to do the Pantene Deal and a cosmetic purchase, this will be all with no additional OOP money.

Wish there were more grocery deals this week!

    • Becky

i'm a little confused..where does the -$5 ECB come from in the 'large senario transaction 1? if you use the getting started senario, isn't there only $2 left ecb left over?

      • Guest

Those are ECB she has leftover from last week! HTH!

      • The larger scenario assumes you have done CVS before and have these from a previous week.

    • Guest

Just got back from CVS. So excited about all the free stuff this week! Just a heads up, I found out today that my CVS in central VA will now only do 4 coupons per transaction. That kind of messed me up when checking out, so I ended up spending a little extra OOP, but I just have more ECB leftover for next week now!

Also, the I had to ask for the 8ct Excedrin, they had it behind the counter. And the Colgate toothpastes and toothbrush were only $2.49 at my store, not $2.79, so with 2 $0.75 coupons, I made a little bit of profit on them :)

      • I would def look up the coupon policy and maybe take it with you on the 4 coupon limit.  That really makes no sense as they adevertise all over their sales flyer to pair up with coupons from the Sunday paper.  Or, consider calling yourself and asking.

    • Saraogles

I went this morning and my extra excitement was the 20 dollars box of Pampers (stock up for a new arrival!) for 20 dollars plus 3.50 ECB. I used a Kiosk $3 coupon and the PG 1.50 coupon. That's pretty cheap for a big ol box of diapers! I also just shelled out 30 dollars in toilet paper (because we are out) to get the free razor (plus 4 dollar coupon) then indulged in the two free toothbrushes and mouth washes. Ended up spending about 60 out of pocket with 15 ECB's for next time. 30 in TP and 15 on diapers leaves me with 5 dollars out of pocket on the other deals!

    • Happy Feet

ok, Has anyone had this happen?  I recieved a gift card for two separate returns… I saved my gift card for a few weeks… then I went to use them and all that was on it was … $.01… it is frustrating…. was it not on there to begin with?

    • Slh204

Ok.. I have a question about CVS.  Just started shopping there with coupons and love it, but on my receipt today there was a section that says “Spring 2011 Spending” and then gives an amount over to the side.  What is that?  Is it money I can use now or do I have to wait.  Someone please help

      • Danyeln

Each quarter they total up what you have spent and give you a 2% ECB back.   So if your Spring Spending was $100 then sometime in early July the red box will print you an ECB for $2.  HTH

    • Hannahb51

When CVS says 'Limit 2 per household'….does that mean per transaction? Per day? or Per the entire 'sale week'? I used 2 coupons to get 2 of the Crest mouthwash deals (save from coupon AND get ECB) and would LOVE to be able to stop by again tomorrow and do it again with my other 2 coupons. Thanks!!

      • msmith

its a limit of two for your card. It shows at the bottom of your receipt.

    • msmith

ok so before today I hadn't really used cvs hardly at all but with these deals I couldn't resist. Between (2) excedrin, (2) oral-b pulsar toothbrushes, (2) crest prohealth rinse, (5) Dawn Soap, (6) crest prohealth toothpaste, (1) bounty 8ct., (1) Charmin 12 ct., and 1 Gillette Fusion Proglide —> only spent 19.75 out of pocket for items retailed at over $95!!! Almost 80% savings!!! I was soo happy:)

    • Nicole

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, but today I had my first bad experience couponing.  The cashier at my regular CVS refused to scan the razor coupon.  She insisted (very loudly, and repeatedly) that I was not allowed to use it since I would be getting the razor for free.  I guess I will go back this week and try to speak with a manager but I was very disappointed!

      • DGgirl09

        That's awful!

      • Yolanda

Oh no, where do they get these people from.  How does one work in a customer service environment and treat customers this way?  I hear so many horror stories on here.  Please also call the corporate office about this.  To be treated that way is ridiculous.

      • Nicole

I went back, spoke to the manager, and he happily accepted the coupon.  Just FYI — if you ever have an issue!

    • emerald2919

okay, a newbie here… if I have no ECB to use on these items to begin with, will I be paying more OOP even with these coupons? or do I need to make different transactions during my visit to use what ECB I do recieve when I purchase those items? These deals seem great but when your starting out with no ECBs on hand I can't see the savings..someone help me! lol! Thanks for the input guys.

      • Best thing to do if you are taking advantage of multiple ECB deals is to break it all into multiple transactions.  Buy something that gives you $3 ECBs, then in the next transaction use those 3 ECBs to get products that give you $5, etc.

A good plan for you might be this (assuming you have the correct coupons):

        Transaction 1
        Buy Colgate
        Use $1/1 coupon
        Pay $1.79
        Get $2 ECBs

        Transaction 2
        Buy Crest Pro-health
        Use $2 off Q
        Use $2 ECBs
        Pay $0.50
        Get back $2.50 ECB

        Transaction 3
        Buy Oral B Pulsar
        Use $3 Q
        Use $3 ECBs
        Pay $0.50
        Get back $3 ECB

Total Spent OOP = $2.79 (plus tax)
Receive $3 ECB for future visit.

Of course if there are other deals you want to take advantage of then that's good to… I was just trying to do a simple example for you.  Hope this helps.

        • emerald2919

Thanks, those examples definately helped.  It’s rough starting out learning all the tricks to the trade.

      • Sdavisva

Yes, it really helps to break up your transactions to keep your OOP low.  Or just choose one thing that's free this week and save your ECB for next week.  I would recommend signing up for the CVS advisory panel – you can google it to find the link.  Last year I took a survey and earned $15 ECB – I rolled those for months and was really able to stock up – at one point I had $40 ECB.  The nice think about having a ECB 'stash' is that you can do one transaction!  Several small transactions make my head spin.  Oh, and I asked for a gift card for my birthday to cover tax and the extra when you just can't get the math to match the ECB values.  This kept our grocery budget untouched while I really learned how to do CVS.  HTH!

        • emerald2919

Thanks so much! I will definately look into that site as well.

    • Cynthpics

I discovered some great extra care bucks on things NOT listed in the ad. it pays tho walk the aisles : )

      • yporter

What  did  you  find????  NEED  to  know:)))  Addiction!!!!

    • Sandybail85

Was my first time really making a list, planning and planning out my trip… with the help of this website…. I did awesome at cvs!!!!  Saved over $60!! And i spent less then 10!  Thank you! I am officially a coupon addict!

      • Coupongal18

You will see – it's VERY ADDICTING!!!! LOL!!!!

    • check your ss 6/5 i had a 5 off john fredia coupon
bought 2 john fredia full repair mouse @ 5 each so only paid tax and got back 3 ecbs…. works for me

      • Coupongal18

Mine was only for $2.00 – man….:( Glad you got it for free though!!! :) Congrats!!!

      • APOWELL

        where do you live?

    • Twilliams0032

My SS insert didn't have the Ban coupon today :(

      • Thehagwoods

I found a $1 qp on my ban at the store which made it free.  You may want to check your store.

    • megan

Covergirl Products are buy 1 get one half off. You can use the $5 off two coupon, as well as a $1 off coupon. I was able to purchase two eye shadows for around 50 cents.

    • Yolanda

Had a great trip to CVS today.  Here's what I got.

      5 – FUZE Drinks
      1 – Ban Deodorant
      2 – Oral B Toothbrushes
      2 – Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash
      1 – Colgate Toothpast
      4 – 12pk, 12 oz. Cokes
      2 – 8ct. Excedrin

Total OOP: $6.53, Saved: $62.04, ECB Remaining: $6.98

      • Heather

Hi yolanda, I am new to couponing, how many transactions did you have and did you use ECB to pay for your first purchase?  I am still trying to get the concept of how this works.

        • Yolanda

I purchased everything but the Cokes and Excedrin in the first order.  I had a $5 off $30 coupon that was emailed to me, $11.00 in ECBs from last week, and coupons for the Ban, toothbrushes, mouthwash and toothpaste.  I paid $6.00 for that order.  I then purchased the Cokes and used $13 in ECBs that I received from the first order, and paid 39 cents OOP.  I was driving home and realized that I forgot the Excedrin.  So I turned around and went back to get it.  I used $2 of ECBs to pay for that and spent 14 cents OOP.  I have $6.98 in ECBs remaining.

    • Camsnana

I was looking for the coupon policy about items you get ecbs on when having to get rainchecks. I thought I read one time they take the ecbs off the amount but am not for sure. I hardly ever go to CVS and I just went there for the mouthwash deal but the shelves were cleared of couse, had one cash register opened (with a long line) and I decided just to get the raincheck later this week.

      • I believe they write up the ECBs and manually print out ECBs for you when you go to get the product the next week… at least that's what they did for me with the bag tags when they were sold out once.

        • amy

You are right.  On each ECB deal in the paper there is a small number printed.  They need to put this number on your raincheck because when you redeem the raincheck they will put the number in and your ECB will print out.  It works, I've tried it.

      • Jjohnsoncoupons

I have only had 1 experience where they took the ECBs off of the amount…(which I had mixed feelings about)….Most of the time, they are manually printed out…I don't know if that varies from store to store or what.

      • Camsnana

OK thanks.  Its worth checking into before making a wasted trip back.  I shop more at walgreens and i know they dont.

    • I had an awkward day at CVS today that left me both feeling cheated and like I had done something wrong all at the same time (explanation follows).

So my plan was to buy Oral B Pulsar, Dawn hand soap, use $4 worth of Qs and $2 ECBs.  Then buy Crest Rinse and Colgate toothpaste, use $3 in Qs and my $3 ECBs, spending $2.29 OOP (not counting tax) and coming away with $4.50 in ECBs.

However when I went to use my ECBs on the 2nd transaction, he said my subtotal was only $1.50, so I figured I miscalculated and just paid $1.95 OOP (10% sales tax… grr). Then I looked over my receipt because that could not be right and apparently he never scanned the toothpaste (yet he scanned the coupon for it through).  So I did the right thing and went back and showed him.  He then rung the toothpaste up and I planned to pay with the $2.50 ECBs (since the $3 ECB would be too much now), but then he rescanned my coupon despite the fact that he knew he had already taken it off the first order (he had even asked a manager how to correct error for having rung the coupon through without the product).  I tried to tell him that he shouldn't scan the coupon again since I already got the $1 off for the coupon, but he dismissed it, so I gave up and then paid $2.07 OOP (since I still did not have the proper ECB for the job).

So long story short, I paid an extra $2 OOP than I ought to have paid, but then got an extra $1 ECB due to the coupon snafu (plus the $2 ECB I wanted to use of course).  I felt bad that the coupon got rung up twice (and I essentially got an extra dollar off my order due to that), but I also felt cheated that I had to spend more money OOP than I had planned… though I can still use those extra $3 ECBs in the future… I just wanted to use them today :(

      • Crafty_cat_86

That is awkward!  If a cashier makes a mistake in my favor, I'll try to make it right, but if I can't, I just remind myself that I'm not in charge of everyone's mistakes.  HTH!

      • not kidding

let's get this straight…you feel cheated because you walked out of the store with an item that you paid $1 less for than the 'play money' they gave you to come back in and make another purchase?

by any chance, did you vote for obama?

        • Bru

Believe me you are saving more than $1. LOL.

      • Anonymous

Even though he was in the wrong, I just try to remember that it’s just a couple bucks and doesn’t matter a whole lot in the big picture of things.

    • My SS has the colgate toothpaste coupon but does not have the toothbrush coupon

    • Amy

Not sure if this is true for all CVS stores, but today, ours in VA had sonic care toothbrush replacement heads for 75% off!!!  They were normally $36, and were marked down to $9.  I had a $5 off coupon and $4 in ECB, so got it for $1!  Also (and another frugal friend taught me this)……I approached the store manager about some Method detergent that has been sitting on clearance for almost 2 months.  I asked him if I could make him an offer on it (it was marked at 50% off, but was still $4.50).   I had stocked up on some a while back when it was accidentally in the 75% off bin (which of course they honored, and it is REALLY good, concentrated detergent w/ no chemicals).  He asked me if I would pay $1 per bottle and take all 10!  YES SIR!!! :)   He knows me from coming in often to coupon, and was needing to make room for a new truckload coming in on Tuesday.  My friend's husband once offered a CVS manager $10 for an entire cartload of clearance items and the manager accepted!  Now, not that I would suggest doing that all the time, or haggling, but it seems to work occassionally, especially for clearance stuff that is lingering :)

    • luiza

wanted to share a great cvs trip today:

      1 huggies jumbo pack diapers
1 64 ct huggies baby wipes
      1 toothbrush
      3 packs of ivory soap
      2 chapsticks
      1 candy bar

used $10 ecbs and coupons. paid 70 cents for everything, got $4 back in ecbs.
Thank you again so much, southern savers!

    • Bamasaver

Went to CVS this morning to use my $4/$20 I got via e-mail.  Really wanted to do the Coke deal, but they had every Coke product EXCEPT the one I wanted (Fanta)!  However, I had a back-up plan (just-in-case) & bought the following:
           2 – OralB Pulsars ($12)
           2 – Crest Pro-Health Rinse ($9)
               $4/$20 CVS Q
               2 – $3 MQs for OralB
               2 – $2 MQs for Crest
Total oop was $8.53 ($7 subtotal plus $1.53 tax)
Received $6 ECB (OralB) & $5 ECB (Crest)
I love it when they pay me to shop there!  Will be going back again to hopefully get some Fantas (maybe the other store has them) & some other items because I got a $3/$10 cosmetics Q from the red box.

      • tmpenn

I also got my $3 Q from the red box. Everyone, make sure you scan your card when you go in!

    • Bamasaver

On the L'Oreal cosmetics deal, Jenny mentioned the $2 face Q.  Will this one work?  I tried it at RiteAid the other day on some eye shadow & it beeped.  My eyes are on my face, but it was a no-go there.  Anyone tried it?  And, more importantly, is it a valid use of that Q?

      • beachette

mine worked no problem.  i would say yes, it is definitely valid.

        • Bamasaver

Thanks, beachette!  It did work with no problems.  Wonder why it wouldn’t work at Rite Aid?

    • Ju Ju Bean

I receive the Montgomery Advertiser, and many of the coupons that are mentioned above in the SS (Smart Source?) flyer are not in there. I can't find any on toothpaste or toothbrushes. Are there different SS inserts in different papers?

      • I get the Huntsville Times and I was missing a Ban deodorant coupon that was mentioned here as well. There must be some differences in the inserts.

        • Sjwake358

Did you get the PG insert? My h-ville times didn't have it.

      • Shodges45341

Yes the flyers are different. The Dothan eagle is even worse. I hardly ever get the deals. I Am still learning where to find coupons.

      • Efgh

i have heard that the coupons very by route i also get the montgomery advertiser and mine were pitiful today 7 coupons in the RP insert and 5 in SS  sometimes i wonder why they waste the paper, ink and time to print.

      • tina

yes they vary greatly in different area so of the country.  ma is terrible.  i order inserts online they are cheaper that the paper most of the time and i get a lot of the really good coupons.

    • I was so excited with my first real CVS purchase today! I got:

      4 Coke product 12 packs
      1 Crest rinse
      2 Colgate toothpastes
      2 8 ct. Excedrin
1 chapstick (my son is going to get sick of hearing me say “we don't have a coupon for that!”)

After using coupons, the $4 off $20 purchase, and a $3.99 ECB, I spent $17 and some change out of pocket and received $11.50 in ECB. I was pretty happy with that!

Fayetteville Observer doesn't have the colgate coupons in the SS insert. Boo!

    • Thehagwoods

      I was so happy tonight.    I got 4 covergirl lipsticks 1 charmin 1 proglide razor 1 dawn 1 all 2 crest rinse 2 oral b toothbrushes 1 overnight 1 ban.   I spent 9.08oop and saved 96.04!  Yeah!

    • mommyof1

i love my cvs.. i thought i was supposed to get some ecbs back on an item.. i could not find it in the paper and did not want to hold up the line, so i told the cashier not to worry about it. (if i returned the items, my whole scenario to use the $5 off $30 coupon wouldnt work..) and she printed me out a $5 ecb for the hassle of trying to figure out where the deal was in the paper and going back to see if i could find the tag in the aisle. which i couldnt!  i told her i might have been mistaken, and that it was okay..   but she gave me the ecb anyways.. she is always my cashier and knows i love to coupon and i never am wrong with my scenarios with her.. i almost felt guilty taking it, but i never asked for her to print anything extra out. its so great when you get to know your cashiers!  i hope others have great cashiers like we do!

      • beachette

wow, good for you!  it is great when you get to know a cashier, seems to make all the difference in the world!

    • Hailey Hurst 22

Anyones store actually have the frito lay deal?!? Mine doesn't :-( really wanted to stock up for this summer!

I did get the mouth wash, oralb toothbrushes, excedrine, diapers, two lip gloss, and two face Make up that were on clearance. Using coupons and last weeks ecbs I spent 3.28 oop. Wish I waited an extra day because today a 3 off 10 cosmetic printed- it's ok my store takes expired cvs coupons. I went back today for pads for my Sis, grabbed moist cloths Togo packs on clearance for 15¢ each and spent $1.22 and .99 ecb and got back $1 ecb for my green bag. Pretty good this week at cvs. Ive saved over $100 this week only spent about $4.50

      • beachette

        wow, that's great! =)

    • Sportsmom

Is it just me or what? I matched up my coupons with the ad and thought I was going to do pretty good, but still wound up spending more than I planned. Also, at the register I can't tell if I'm getting the right price or not (rings up full price and deducts sale prices at the end). Any extra tips for dummies like me that can't seem to get this CVS thing will be appreciated.

      • cs

do you scan your card first? also you can always scan an item at the red machine to see what price it will ring up with your card.

      • 4tlamb

I went last night and had the same problem. The items are listed on the receipt at full price, not the sale price advertised. Then they show one amount deducted at the bottom. I couldn't tell what anything was. I did the P&G deal just as Jenny listed it, only it didn't add up at my store the same way, and because of the way things are show on the receipt I can;'t tell whats going on!  I went back in and asked, but the cashier said he'd never seen it done this way, and was no help at all. Anyone know if this is a new system?

    • Slh204

For my first time at CVS I was super excited.  Not as great as it could have been, but for the first one, it's ok.  I got.

      2 Oral B pulsar toothbrushes
      2 Crest Pro-Health Mouth Wash (1 L)
      2 Tampax Pearl
      2 Gillette Deodorants
      4 Gillette Body Washes
      2 Pantene Pro-V Shampoo
      2 Excedrin Migraine
      2 Colgate Max Toothpaste

      spent oop 25.36!!

      • beachette

way to go and good job!  pretty great feeling, huh?

        • Slh204

          Yes, it really does! :-)

    • Babymitch926

Went to CVS today and I tried to use my ivory coupons to get the soap but for some reason the register wouldn't accept them!! :(

      • Crafty_cat_86

It's because the coupon is $1 off and the soap is on sale for $0.99.  You “can't” have overage at CVS.  Every cashier I've had has overridden the error message.  ymmv.

        • Babymitch926

          that stinks..:(

        • Jacketfan24

I got mine at Walmart…it was .97 and they allow overages.

    • GaMomof3

i have only been at this for a couple of months.  i feel like i am doing pretty well with the grocery stores but today was my second trip on two different weeks that i went to cvs to try and “learn the ropes” there and they were out of EVERYTHING that was on sale with good deals and coupons.  any suggestions?  just frustrated.

      • Savvyshopper

That happens A LOT to me as well. I have learned that I have to go first thing Sunday morning in order to snag a lot of the deals. I also have a 'back up' CVS that I go to that is tucked away in a less populated area that tends to have more in stock since it is less shopped. You can always ask for rain checks on the items though if you can't find them! Good luck!

      • Odinvsaver

also, ask them when they get there shipments. i always go sunday and get as many of the items as i need. if i can't find something or they are out i ask. they are always really kind and let me know when the next shipment is. My favorite CVS that i visit gets there sale shipment on monday following the sale. so then i just go back monday and pick up the few slacking items. otherwise, call ahead. see if they can hold some items for you or something. if all else fails find another cvs. i know where i live there is one on every corner it seems

      • Like a few other people said, I have the best luck if I go the day after they get their shipment. On Sundays (I normally can't make it to the store until the afternoon/evening) they are out of a lot of the good deals. But they get their shipment on Mondays at my store, so I usually go Tuesday and they normally have everything!

Hope that helps! Keep at it…it's worth the frustration from time to time once you get the hang of it!

        • br

Great idea to check with the store to see when they get their weekly shipment in.

      • Kristin

I go midweek. Seems like the shelf clearers have been there and the store and has time to restock.  I can usually find about everything I need.  And if I don’t, there’s rainchecks!

    • Chloe'sMommy

Where do I find the $5 off $30 coupon?

    • Chloe'sMommy

Or it might be $5 off $20??? please help!

      • Angelascoupons1

I got it by registering online for a CVS email.  Go to CVS's website….

    • RA Rasnake

Be careful and check your receipts on the Oral-B toothbrushes. Up Charlotte, NC area, they are discontinuing the Pro-Health Oral-B Pulsar. They are included in the sale because they are not discounted but they are NOT ringing up on the deal with the ECB's. So you are missing out on $3 ECBs if you aren't watching (I had to go back and they refunded me the money and gave me extra ECBs for having to come back)…

    • Blaine8877

Just stumbled on a great MM!  The one oz. Banana Boat Sport, Active Dry Protect 30 SPF tubes (orange with a blue cap), are returning the 7$ ECB when you buy two!  They retail for $1.49 – $1.69. Found several in with the Banana Boat sunscreens on the shelf and also in a clear oval container on an end cap in two Charleston SC area stores.

      • Thanks for the tip, I checked these comments just before going to CVS and did this deal, totally worked for me too.  The tubes were $1.77 for me I bought 2 and did get my 7.00 ECB.  Woo hoo!

        • Caroline

I searched the store today for the 1 oz size and couldn’t find them anywhere.  Highly impressed with how stocked the store was with Oral B toothbrushes and Crest mouthwash!

        • Coupon Momma

The ad for my store in Murfreesboro, TN specifically states “excludes lip, baby, sticks & after sun).  I was excited after seeing all the posts until I looked at my ad.  Congrats to those who were able to do that!  Woot Woot!

      • cs

hoping there are some left by the time I get a chance to head there later today. Hubby works outside all day and so we really need to stock up on some cheap sunscreen.

    • check your email… just took a survey for CVS and printed a $5 ECB

      • monika

hello can you please help, i noticed your first transaction includes the huggies diapers, i would like to take advantage of transaction #4 under LARGER SCENARIO listed above, it also includes the diapers but i don't see how it works (am still fairly new to this).  seems like the $3 coupon and .50/1 would still leave about $8 to pay for these items, how do you know what the ECB are for specific items and is that taken off the total at cash register or only can be used for future purchases?  sorry bothering you but i noticed you purchased the diapers and would like to use this deal since i have a baby and every bit savings helps.  hope you can help, thank you.

    • The6thhascome

3 Ivory soap (They weren't out!  I left 2 there)

+$5 from my sil to pay for her bottle of prenatals.  :0)

      I'll take it.

      • Crafty_cat_86

my sil only did the makeup in one transaction.  The two above are what I did.

    • Caroline

Is the beverage deal (buy 5, get 2 ECB) the same as last week?  I did it last week when I bought 5 Smartwaters but wanted to do it again.  I threw last week's ad away so I can't compare the offer numbers.  Looking forward to trying the Banana Boat deal!  Also a little worried that my scenario I've come up with that's just over $20, in order to use my $4/$20 won't work b/c they'll be out of things!

      • Kdwe64

Both weeks are different ad numbers.  I bought five Honest Abe teas last week and this week.  Each time I received the $2.00 ECB.

    • AJ

One of my favorite deals today was the Revlon eye shadow and Revlon eye liner.  They were on sale, buy 1, get 1 50% off.
      Eye shadow – $7.89
      Eye liner – $3.65 (after 50% discount)
      – $2 on product (eye shadow)
      – $2 on product (eye liner)
      – $3 off $10 cosmetics (printed from redbox)
      Total = $4.54 (get $4 ECB back)!

      • nancy

where did you get $2 coupon?

    • Blakeandmallory

can anyone tell me where i can find the .75/1 coupon for colgate toothbrush   its not in my SS?

      • Prsol

Coupons may vary according to the area where you live. :-(

Jenny posts a list of variations under “SUNDAY INSERTS” (one of the big blue buttons near the top of this page) and you may get an idea of what's included in your local area.
Also, different papers in the same area may vary. I live in Atlanta, and our AJC (the main paper) has a ton of additional coupons compared to the Marietta Journal (smaller paper in Cobb County) which often times has the ad for “x” product, but no coupon for it! (I keep those inserts anyways as they are passed to me by a co-worker, but i wouldn't spend my money in papers that don't have coupons… Hope you can find a solution for the mystery of your missing Q's @12c584b246742be2821101b1efba3ef6:disqus …  :(

      • br

It was in my 6/5 SS in the State paper (SC).

    • Barmac22

Somebody please tell me what gas station the tear pad is in for the vitamin water and where is the best place to get gatorade or powerdrinks free?

    • Marie

Does anyone know of any pharmacys that are giving gift cards or something for a new prescription or a transfer of another prescription, my insurance is changing and I'm not going to be able to afford to take it after this month. No medicine, reckon how long I could live without all of my medicines

      • Reid221

Try PSCard.com. The card is free – you can print one out. On the site you can check prices on area pharmacies. I don’t know how they do it – but it works.
Many prescriptions were less than what I was paying through my insurance company ..

      • cs

if you live in sc they do not do that anymore. They made it against pharmacy law to do that. They had problems with ppl transfering back and forth because of that. Have you looked at walmart? They have alot of med that is only $4 a month on that program of theirs.

        • Lonestar9

Good to know CS…I live in SC and was like, how come we never see those coupons anymore??

      • Mommaof1

Did you check the Target ad yesterday? I haven't checked yet, but they usually put one in their ad every so often.  The last one they had just expired on the 28th of last month I think.

        • ireneY

          None this week… I checked!

      • kycouponmommy

Target still does that in our area.  It is also worth a shot to contact the company that makes your medicine and tell them about your situation and sometimes they are willing to take part of the cost burden.

      • ireneY

There was a $25 Q offer on the back of a Kroger flyer from a couple of months ago. It expires 6/11.

      • princess

DEFINITELY get in contact with the maker of your medication and let them know your situation!!!!!  Abbott has been very helpful with my medication, and I understand other manufacturers have programs, too.

      • Mary

Ok, I know I am gonna draw some attention to me but Walmart has some Rx medicines for abt $4.00, might want to check that out.  CVS also has / had a Rx savings card or at least it did about 2 yrs ago. I  think the deal was pay abt 10.00 per month and you get discounted amounts….not reall sure on those figures though.

    • Savingsmartshopper

If I purchase the Scope Rinse and the Oral B toothbrushes, limit 2 each will it still give me the maximum ECB's back? or should I ring it up separately to maximize my return?  Thanks!!

      • Kristin

It will give them to you either way.

      • Kristin

It will give them to you either way.

    • Beckyr0222

I am new to couponing.  The Montgomery Advertiser coupons are horrible so I was a little disappointed yesterday.  Does anyone know how you can purchase whole inserts from the Atlanta Journal Constitution?

      • Blueys1000

I agree!!!  One week I added it up we received 30% of the coupons available according to the discrepancies sheet and it happens like that every week.  Depending on where you live, I noticed an AJC box at a BP gas station while I was out looking for my papers Sunday in the Troy area, gonna try and hit it earlier next Sunday.

      • Kristin
    • Blueys1000

I'm determined to figure this all out.  Planning my “1st” trip to CVS to get the most for my money for things we actually use and need right now.  I understand how the BOGO works when item is on sale BOGO but how does coupon that's BOGO work when item is on sale BOG0 50% like the secret, gillette, and old spice are?

    • Roxy_rachel_84

My Ban coupon is for $1 off 2. Anyone else get that same coupon? Know where I can maybe print one?

      • jcompman

look to see if any of the other Ban products have a coupon on them at the store.. My store in NC had a sticker coupon on another Ban deodorant…

    • Rsharv

Just left CVS. Had a great day. Bought 4-12 pk diet dr pepper for $13, with $3 ecb back, used 12 ecb from last week. Then they have 3 single pkg lays chips for $1, did 5 deals for total of 15 and got back 5 ecb. Lamisil 9.99 with $3 coupon and 5 ecb back, used those ecb to buy 2 crest mouth wash for $4.50 each with 2 coupons for 2.50 and got 4 ecb, 1 colgate toothpast for free after coupon and ecb, 1 colgate toothbrush free after coupon and ecb. 2- excedrin for 99 cents with 1.98 back. Left with 17 ecb for next week. Great day and all usable items.

    • Irishmomoffive

I see where you can get John Frieda product free with a 5 dollar off cpn from SS.. was t in sundays paper?? I cant find it.. I only have 2 dollar off cpns.. i really  want that cpn can someone tell me where to find it? Thanks so much for any help!!

      • Irishmomoffive

free from CVS i forgot to put that

      • Zinniasgive

Coupon inserts do vary by region, so some did  get the $5 off coupon. You can always check ebay, I'm sure there will be some available there.

    • Heather M.

Anyone else have a problem with the oral b toothbrushes??  The pulsar toothbrushes that are on sale are NOT battery operated.  the 3$ off coupon is for battery powered brushes only….  ???

      • I was going to ask the same question! Any ideas? The CVS ad says that it should be free after coupon. Is that a mix up?

        • I actually found this confusing as it does not look like a battery operated toothbrush. Look at the picture in the ad, you want the one that is laying on its side within the packaging, that is the one that is on sale, there are a few that look like it could be it, but the picture was key for me to find it.  The reg price was 6.99 on sale for 6.00.  Scan it before taking it up to the register to find the 6.00 priced one.

          • Heather M.

So I actually HAD the correct toothbrushes Sunday, and the MANAGER didn’t realize it was battery operate, wouldn’t take my coupons – and I couldn’t tell they were battery operated either, so, I didn’t argue…now i wish i would’v lookeed closer….since then, I’ve checkd two different CVS’s and both were sold out.  :(

      • cs

the ones at my store were the battery operated ones

      • Heather

There's one that is a pulsar whitening one, it's battery powered

      • ireneY

I thought that too, but if you look on the back of the package, it says something about the battery isn't removable and should last three months.

    • Bru

I've only been couponing about a month now and i went to CVS today and bought
      5 Vitamin Waters, 1 Ban deodorant, 2 John Frieda (Shampoo&Conditioner), 2 Schick Hyrdo razors (B1G1). . . . I had a coupon for $1 off 5 Vitamin Water, (2) $2 off John Frieda Hair Products, .75 off Ban and (2) $3 off Schick Hydro razor. I spent $17.31. I SAVED $29.47 and got $7 ECB back!

    • Iamcheap

I REALLY hate it when people clear the shelves! This is only the second day of the sale and I was there this morning around 10am while out running my errands. I only wanted to get one of the Crest mouthwashs on sale….the whole shelf was cleared out! Same on a few other items. I wish people would just get a few of things and then come back later in the week to do the “shelf clearing” if there are lots of stuff left. It really makes me mad when I make my list and carefully plan what I am going to get and when I get there everything is gone. I can understand if I come in on the last day of the sale and the shelves are empty but on the second day???   UGGGHHH!   :(

      • nancy

I went Sunday about 12 noon and the Scope products were almost out, I bought 2 and there were 3 left on the shelves. People don't clear the shelves, CVS doesn't carry that many items of the same stuff in stock!

        • jcompman

I agree that CVS seems to limit the amount of stuff that they carry.. I even go Sunday am around 10:00 and they sometimes are completely out… 3 hours into the sale…

          • Mamaberry

It's also possible that their truck comes on Monday or Tuesday.  So, they have been depleted from the week prior and are about to restock.  Ask what day they get their truck in and shop the next day.  hth!

          • Phatpatswife

So here’s how it works. My store for instance gets it’s truck on tuesdays. Now most people think, oh well then they should have all the sale stuff to restock the shelves but it doesn’t work that way. The sale doesn’t start until sunday and the truck order has to be put in the Thursday before. 3 full days before these items are out. So not only do they not get ordered, the store isn’t out and therefore would’t order them anyways. Noone can guess what things are going to be big sellers and what isn’t so they can’t just order a ton of things in the hopes that those are big coupon deals the next week. The back room where all of this stuff has to be kept isn’t but so big and can’t hold tons of stuff that may very well not sell. That’s why they give rainchecks because they can’t order what everyone is going to buy, because it’s bought, it would be bad business. Rainchecking is there way of insuring that the consumer gets the deal they want as soon as possible after the sale has happened.

      • jcompman

get a raincheck.. That way you can come back next week when it's not on sale and you can get the same deal.. You can use the same coupon as long as it doesn't expire..

      • Ebroyles2001

I have noticed that they do not put all of their product out.  I always ask and they go to the back and get me whatever I need.

        • Our CVS stocks on Friday, giving an extra day to get your items. I plan on going back Friday night or Saturday morning to try for the toothbrushes and another Crest rinse.

      • rjc

Always ask! My CVS manager is awesome and if the product is out he tells me when they will get more or he substitutes another product and still takes my coupons. Then there's always rainchecks, I love rainchecks!

        • Rosey4u8

Does anybody know to get the diapers  and wipe $3 from saving star does it have to be in one transaction?

      • stacey

people can’t clear the shelves at CVS.  Unlike Walgreens they limit you.  You really can’t get mad.  Most likely people only got the amount they we entitled to.  Also why didn’t you get a rain check?  Also unlike Walgreens, CVS gladly gives rain checks for extra bucks.

      • stacey

      • I love CVS for their limits and for the rainchecks. I have a small home, so I can't stock 10 bottles of body wash etc, but when I can get 2-3 of something that can last a month or more, so very worth it. I can't stand the shelf clearers at Walgreens. I try to limit myself to 4 max of any item. I feel it is a courtesy to leave something for the next person. Good karma is good karma in any situation

        • Evil Betty

I absolutely LOVE rainchecks at CVS!!!! You never know when a better coupon will come out for the product!!!!  I have made TONS of ECBs this way!!!!!!

    • Beattycoupons

for lower price RX's prices check with Sams Club, Walmart, Kroger, Ingles. Most have a generic list for 3$ or 4$ a month, a 90 day supply runs $12-14$

    • Wooburne1

If something has a ECB and you go on Sunday and get the 2 limit. Can you go on another day and get the 2 limit again?

      • cs

no the limit is per card per sale week

    • Kat is ur master!

      6x covergirl Ntrlux lip gloss – $6 each = $36 – $15 from 3x $5/2 = $21 – $3 (scan and print $3 of any makeup at the store) = $18 – $9.99 (spend $30 save $9.99 on gillette/venus fusion proglide) = $8.01 just did the transaction about 20 minutes ago awsome deal

      • Asflovesu3

did you use the $4 off fusion proglide?

        • kat is ur master!

No the lady at the counter ssaid I couldn't since it was free, unsure if she is suppose to take it

      • Kimkooks

Can you explain how this came to $8 please?
It looks like $9.99 was subtracted from your total for the lipglosses but I thought that they just gave you the razor for free… I guess I don't understand why that would deduct $9.99 from your total. Thanks. I really want this deal!

        • Kat is ur master!

i thought the same thing with the razor see when i went to the store figurin (makeup) $36 – $15 (from coupons) = $21 – $4 (razor coupon) = $17 – $3 (store coupon off makeup from scanning card at kiosk) = $14 but they wouldnt let me use the $4 off razor cause it was free however if you look at the ad on the magazine it says “over 9.99 value” and the way it rang up at the register was -9.99 from bill so $14+ $4 (-razor coupon) = $19 – $9.99 = $8.01…. which is exactly what my bill was

          • Kat is ur master!

            $18 – $9.99 = $8.01 :P

    • Allison

Did anyone get the Ban Deodorant manufacturer's coupon? Was it in a regional insert? It surely wasn't in mine (North Florida)

      • DebTN

I got a 75 cent and a 40 cent. I'm in middle TN (Nashville region).

      • Wooburne1

        Got it in central Fl

      • Dtcox1

yes in v a it was

      • elizabeth

got it in jacksonville there was a .75/1 and .40/1

      • Missak

I didn't get the Ban Deodorant coupons here in Crossville, TN

    • Pinkchick82686

Have been using coupons for a few months now, and went to CVS for the first time tonight (never been great deals for me, things I need).  But tonight I needed coke (hubby)…so I got… 2 oral b pulsars, 2 crest pro health rinses, and 4 cases of coke for 12.50 opp, and have $3 ecb.  Would have got the excederin too but they were out, but they were very happy to give a raincheck with ecb, CVS rocks, so much easier than walgreens!!!!

      • Jennscaffeinated

Hubby tried to cinvince me that Dr pepper was pepsi lol. They had $1/2 peelies on the Dr pepper at Wags!!! That will make these $2 at cvs right now.

        • connie

That actually depends where you are. I'm originally from KY and there Dr. Pepper is Pepsi. We moved to SC 8 years ago and weirdly Dr. Pepper is Coke. It took some getting used to.

          • It depends on where in KY one is. In the Owensboro area, Dr. Pepper is a Pepsi product, but 60 miles or so south in Bowling Green, it's a coke product. My brother is constantly reminding me of that fact. :)

        • not kidding

so did you take the peelies off the dr. pepper at wags and use them at cvs?

      • Pinkchick82686

Also meant to tell everyone that when I scanned my card at the red box it printed a $3 of $10 cosmetics.  At check out I asked if that was just make-up or all health/beauty.  She said all so I used that for my toothbrushes and mouthwash.

        • Dacia

I got the $3 off $10 in cosmetics too, and I love Loreal lipsticks but they are alot so I was able to get a lip stick that was $10.79 Use a $2 off Loreal lip product coupon plus my $3 off wich took it to $5.79 and I got $3 ecb back for spending $10 on loreal products.

        • I GOT THIS DEAL TOO!!!

        • Slh204

are you suppose to scan your card every time you shop CVS at the red box?

          • Kristin

Yes. And keep scanning it until the box tells you that there are no more coupons.

    • Babyturtle2004

My CVS says they don't understand the CVS coupon sheet termology?!? Can someone help me understand where to find these coupons?

      • Hailey Hurst 22

        Rejuvenating beauty magazine in cvs.

    • Jlshearl

Need expert CVSer.  I got a $5 off $15 coupon along with my register reward today.  Was thinking of going back to get some Pampers.  They have a box for $19.99 with $3.50 ECB.  I have a $1.50 manufacturers coupon, and $1 ECB to spend.  Can I use all of those together???

      • Jlshearl

I mean all of those including the $5 off $15 coupon.

        • guest

      • SavingTabtiha

Yes, but give them the $5 off $15 first.  THEN give them the other coupons then the ECB's.  You'll get it if you just stick with it :-)  Good luck!

    • Hailey Hurst 22

I'm sooooo addicted to cvsing!!! Went back today for the third time this week. Sat got the new sales, sunday went to pick up padsfor my sis and today went and got the banana boat sunscreen to make $3.50! Also found a $1 off coupon on BAN deo and picked that up! Great week and pushed my savings to over $500 this quarter! I'm just disappointed no stores within 60mi of me have the buy 3 frito lay deal. :-/ I was glad to get my green bag reward and I'm only $10 from beauty club and have only spent about $5. 18ecb for next week! Can't wait to see the ad!

      Forget walgreens and riteaid!

    • Npainter

DON'T DO THE AMERICAN EXPRESS DEAL!!!  I bought the cards because I had to get gas, so I thought it would be an easy money maker.  I didn't read the cards close enough and there is a $5.95 charge for each card.  They are only giving $6.00 in RR.  I actually lost money!  One day I am going to get this right.  URGH!

    • Leigh

I am not getting it. Everytime I buy something at CVS and think it's a deal, I find it way cheaper somewhere else. They are sometimes $2-3 more than grocery stores on toiletries.  What am I missing?

      • rjc

That's true if you just buy it off the shelf. But by using coupons + ECB's you often get these items for free or very cheap.

      • Mary

Between my ECBs and coupons I got a 96 count of Pampers Dry Max box, 1 2 litter coke product, and donated $1.00 to the ASL charity for  $9.33, then got 3.5 ECBs back..sorry cant do that at at to many places.

        • Couponwarburton

How did you get the diapers for so cheap?

    • Brenherdez

i want started, so i know i need a cvs car first, but how can i started this week? please if somevary can help me, thank yuo..

      • Crafty_cat_86

There's a “getting started scenario above.  HTH!

        • Brenherdez

          thank you!!! i will try…

    • Cgilmore1155

Loving my FREE John Frieda shampoo & conditioner!

      • Dtcox1

me too got the new yellow cans for blonde highlts hair spray and shampoo

      • Mkerryann35

Did you use the $5 towards the shampoo and conditioner. I see the coupon states 'treatment', was not sure.

        • Inferno4915

I just used my coupons on the green Root Awakenings shampoo and conditioner.  Would never have thought they would work, since the coupon clearly says “Full Repair” products, but the cashier told me to try it and it worked :)

          • FreedomSpradley1

It’s coupon fraud to knowingly use a coupon for a product other than what it is stated for, even if the register takes it.

      • 1jewelrylady

New to all this…I only had the $2 off John Frieda in my SS insert and $3 off foam color.  Am I missing the $5 off coupon?  Was it only regional.

    • aejasper

Free L'Oreal Paris lipstick this week!!  The lipstick is on sale for $5 each.
Buy 2 for $10Use coupon from CVS coupon printer: $3 off $10 Cosmetic purchaseUse (2) $2 off L'Oreal Paris Lip Product RP 5/15Use $3 ECB from previous transaction= Owe nothing but sales tax and get another $3 ECB back for next time!!

      • MomOf4

Wow, wish I had used my coupon for this.  I bought a Revlon lipstick, but still needed to shell out 2 ECBs :(  I like scanning the comments for deals like this, they are really helpful.  Thanks!

      • Mkerryann35

I was only able to find a $2 coupon for lipstick, but had the $3 for purchasing $10 in products, and $2 ecb. Paid $3.42 but got back $3 ecb. So basically paid $.42 for (2) l'oreal lipsticks. Great deal.

    • Teachgr

Did anyone in the Mobile/Baldwin area find the John Freida hair product coupons in sunday's paper? I did not. Just curious.

    • Sara

I just got the Huggies Diapers and wipes and had double checked to make sure I activated my $3 saving star coupon and it didn't work when the lady rang me up. I got the Snug & Dry diapers and just random Huggies wipes. Anyone else had this problem?

      • mtogon5

I did the same thing and did not work for me either:(  what did we do wrong?

      • Mary

Saving star does NOT take off any amount from the total.  When the stores let them know, usually 7-30 days, saving star will then credit your account with them in the amount of the “coupon”. Once you reach $5.00, you then pick how you want your payout.

    • Kdfowler84

I LOVE my CVS!!! They were so helpful yesterday…helped me find products out of boxes that their truck just delivered. Definitely went above and beyond. Oh and I got 2 bottles of Crest Pro-Health, 2 Pulsar toothbrushes, 1 Colgate Smartfoam toothpaste, and 1 Ban deodorant for $1.33 OOP and $5 ECB for next week!!!

      • Mkerryann35

New to the lingo. What is OOP?

        • Saven

The vitamin water coupon that is printable is not real.

      • connie

I printed a vitamin water coupon and it looked real to me and I used it at cvs sunday on 5 waters.

        • tina

I am new to this. I have been doing this for about a month. Why is it that some areas don't get some coupons???? I did not get ANY John Freida coupons in my 06/05 SS. I'm in Hendersonville, NC. Why is this??? I need pretty hair too!!! :(

      • M

I am in your area. I have several of the John Freida coupons. You are welcome to them. Would love to trade for others. turtlebug_79(at)yahoo(dot)com

    • Glenda Kary

I am new at couponing.  How do I get the Colgate 360 Toothbrush coupon?

      • “All you” is a magazine you can subscribe to or you can only buy at walmart

        • Inferno4915

I subscribed online and they send me the coupons in emails, I don't get a magazine, which is great because I hate wasting paper :)

    • Mkerryann35

I am trying to purchase the crest mouthwash from CVS this week and it has a ECB of $2.50. Well the product is on sale for $4.50 and there is a $2 coupon in the P&G coupon circular but it states for One Crest Rinse that is 940ml or larger and shows the White bottle instead of the blue-pro health bottle. Can I use the coupon for any Crest rinse mouthwash for that size? It throws me off when a specific photo is shown on a particular coupon making it seem that is the only product you can purchase.

      • Davis_megan

Yes that is the correct coupon, I've used two coupons with no problems

        • Mkerryann35

          thank you Megan

          • Mccouponz

Thanks..I had same question and was going to pass on this until your help…;)

      • Bamasaver

The “picture” on the coupon is usually an advertising or promotional thing.  The manufacturer is usually just promoting a particular product.  The WORDING on the coupon is the key; unless it specifies a certain type, it can be used for any type product in that line.

    • Davis_megan

Had the best trip ever to CVS tonight.
      Crest Pro Health $4.50
      2 Oral B pulsar toothbrush $12.00
      2 colgate toothpaste $5.58
      3 bags of M&Ms$2.25
      total $24.33
      – $4.00 on $20.00 purchase
      -$2.00 on Crest pro
      -$6.00 on toothbrush
      -$.75 x 2
-$.75 on M&Ms x 3( not the best price but i had a coupon and needed a filler, plus favorite candy for hubby!!
      -$16.00 ECB
total due $.08 and received $16.50 ECB
      My husband is in shock!!!

      • ChocolateLivingRoom

where did you get the -$4 on $20?

        • Slh204

if you go to the CVS website and sign up to get e-mails, they send you a coupon for $4 off $20.  I think you can do it in store too though, but not sure.

          • Jewelnjem

After you sign up they will continue to send you discounts via email. Some are $$ off purchase of a certain amount – some are % off total purchase. They seem to send an offer about every other week!

    • TxMom

For the razor deal, do you have to buy $30 of the pictured stuff to get the razor, or can the razor count towards the $30 total?

    • Caroline

My store had Mylicon drops in a cart marked 90% off.  They still rang up for 14.99 but the cashier changed it manually to $1.49.  I had a $2 coupon in my folder, I think from an old box of drops that said no expiration date.  He could only take $1.49 off which was fine with me!  Best part was that it has over $10 in coupons inside.  Don't know what yet since I haven't opened it.

      • Heather M.

a while back, i had bought mylecon drops and the coupon packet had valuable children's tylenol, and benedryl coupons inside – it was RIGHT before they recalled all the chilrden's tylenol and benadryl…  never got to use mine.

    • ValRn23

New to the couponing and CVS, but wanted to share a deal. I got the 2/$12 nature luxe lip gloss. Used $5 mf coupon and the $3 cvs $3 of $10 in beauty products plus I had $3 ECB….paid $1.72!!!!!

    • Katie

I am new to couponing. I have a question about the get $6 ECB when you buy 2 American express gift cards. Can you get 2 $5 gift cards? Can you use them on the next transaction? Thanks in advance!

      • Jodi

American Express gift cards are already in set amounts of $25, $50, and $100.  They each have a $4.95 activation fee that is charged when you purchase them.

    • TracyS

I can't find the -.75/1 coupon for Colgate Toothpaste or the -$5 off Full Repair Product in my SS 6/05!! Help!!

    • Anyone know how much the schick hydros are before the coupons? Also, can I use 2 coupons on BOGO at CVS? TIA!

      • Sheila

The 5 blade one was $10.99 at my CVS when I checked yesterday (the 3 blade one is about $2 less) and YES you can use 2 coupons on a BOGO at CVS.  Yay for more cheap .razors

        • DorkandShorty04

I know its BOGO but i was thinking about doing is getting the schick hydro razor 3 blade plus the refill. Im not totally sure how that is going to work out if they like might make me pay for the refills instead of the razor or what?

          • Stshepard

most bogo's,you have to pay for the most expensive then get the lower price one for free.

    • Jessmender

Ugh!!! I am so bummed!  I had 8 ECB's from last week and I think I accidentally threw them away!  Is there anything I can do???  Thanks

      • Jessmender

I found the answer to my own question!  In case you want to know too, log on to the CVS website (will work if your extracare card is connected to your email) and then you can print them from there.

        • Stshepard

in our cvs they have a kiosk where you can scan your card and it prints out your coupons.

          • DorkandShorty04

the coupons that print out are they manf. or store coupons?

            • Stshepard

I'm new at this so I may be wrong!! I 'thought' it printed out what you had left on your card..maybe it does just do the coupon of the day.

        • Laneka

Thanks for the info Jessmender…I lost $5 a while ago and just thought it was gone. Good to know for future reference!

      • Ac4success

You should be able to go online. put in your extra care card number and reprint the coupons you lost. If not ask a manager & they can tell you how to reprint them!!

    • Tamekawilson30

      what is ECB?

      • shanna

Extra Care Bucks — CVS' customer reward program

    • shanna

Anybody else have trouble getting the ECB on the crest pro-health mouthwash?  Mine didn't print and the cashier said it was because I reached my limit — but that was the first and only one I bought!

      • Brandy

I bought the Pro-Health yesterday and receiving my ECB.

      • Kristen Fisher

I did two today and they both printed and now my receipt says I reached my limit on that deal. Maybe someone is using your card? :(

    • Ashley

Hello everyone im new to couponing and I really want to build my stock…but I have a question if I missed getting a paper or a coupon is there anyway I can still print it out later..I see where on this site you can click printable and it will print, but what about the other MFR coupons?????

      • Mommaof1

Call your local newspaper.  I know with mine even if you didn't get a paper on that Sunday, you can always go to the office and pick up papers from previous Sundays.

    • DorkandShorty04

Ok with the ECB how are you able to use it? For example say if i buy a bunch of products and get $7.00 in ECB can I use all of that on a product that happens to be BOGO plus coupons?

      • moneysaved4disney

yes, as long as your total due comes to $7 or more..you can't get cash back

    • Bamafan

I tried to use “My Coke Rewards” coupons for a free 12 pack yesterday at CVS and they said they are no longer taking them.  Was this just a store issue or have others run into this?  Is there another chain that will take them?

      • mightymousemom

That doesn't make any sense, you may want to call cvs corp for clarity.  But if you live near a Harris Teeter, a few people have blogged that the use their free 12 pack my coke rewards Q's when Harris Teeter has a buy 2 get 3 free deals on coke products resulting in 5 12 packs for around $5.00.

        • Bamafan

I wish I lived near Harris Teeters but I live near Birmingham and they don't have them here.  To make matters worse, when they would not take the coupons, I ask the clerk to void them off.  Well she acted like she did, but she instead rung up 2 more.  So I paid for 6 12 packs and got none of them.  Luckily I realized that I had been overcharged before I left the store and made her credit me back over 21 dollars.  She just laughed and said she must have been in too big a hurry.  I was not amused.

    • mightymousemom

Excederin mm alert.  The red machine printed a $2.00 off any excederin coupon yesterday.  Asked the nice manager where the 8 ct with the .99 ecb wyb 1 @ .99 cents were and he found me one in the back.  So the entire $2.00 came off my total as I purchased a few other small deals as well, so a $2.00 mm.  Check the sweet little red machine for the coupon and find this deal if you can :-)

      • Judy

Oh Man, I got that coupon but thought I could not use it, I wish I had seen this sooner.

      • Guest

My store will lower the amount to the sale price :-(

    • Stshepard

did anyone else get the deal the lady below posted about: the 6 luxe gloss and razor for $8.01?  I tried it today but didn't get it for that.I'm new to this so I dont know what i did wrong?? I even used my $4 off $20!! Then ended up having to use some of my ecb i was going to save. Now I have 0 ecb and still want to get the rinse and other things, any ideas/tips on how to get these? I'm at my limit on the huggies and the pulsar toothbrushes.

      • DebTN

Can you post exactly what you bought so we can help you figure it out?

        • Stshepard

    • Kristin

Can ECB's be used to pay for part or all of the tax owed on a transaction?

      • 2sweetgrits

Not at my CVS…I just paid $1.25 for $36.99 worth of items…I was very happy to pay the tax!!

        • Kristin

Thanks.  I've always assumed I needed to pay the tax and have always been very happy to do so. Especially on the “free” items!  It's a good trip if my only out of pocket is tax, or less than $1 in other charges.

    • Kristin

Someone may have already posted this but I can't find it in the 500 comments.  Has anyone gotten more than one ECB deal on John Frieda products?  I went today and bought 2 JF shampoos, used 2 Q's and got my $3 ECB's.  Then in another transaction, I bought 2 more shampoos.  I didn't expect ECB's but figured since I had $5 Q's they'd at least be free.  Well, I got another $3 in ECB's.  From the receipt it looks like the JF products were part of a Curel spend $10, get $3 deal.  And you could do it twice.  Now my limit is reached.  Anyone else had this happen? I thought the CVS ad said limit 1 deal.

      • momthomasof4

I'm going to have to try this….thanks!

      • Syndilew

Sometimes CVS does this, prints a limit of one but then you can do the deal multiple times.  Always look at the bottom of your receipt and yes I was able to do this deal twice. HTH

        • Kristin

Thanks.  Did your deals show up as Curel?  Just wondering.

      • Dtcox1

yes this happens sometimes has a surprize ….. and sometimes you can swipe your card 3 times at red box and get more coupons too the store even dont know why but its fun ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

        • Judy

always keep scanning your card until you get the message “no more coupons availabe” ususally at least two to three scans

      • FreedomSpradley1

I think the same deal is running again next week.  You can see future sales ads on i heart cvs (dot) com.

    • Kristen Fisher

I love CVS!! After all my ECBs and coupons, I went home with ~$40 worth of good stuff for something like .32 cents + tax.

For the first time I literally got everything on my list :)

I am in Spring Hill Tn and everytime there is a 5$ off coupon mention on John Frieda shampoo… I can't find it in my paper. I am not sure why. Is this a regional coupon?

    • Potassiumbromide

In the Thursday Sun Sentinel (South Florida) – main section – there is a $5/20 coupon – good through 6-11

      • crystalfawn

        Orlando sentinel too!!!! ;-)

    • Kristin

I just figured out the the John Frieda ECB deal is part of a Monthly Curel deal that includes JF, Curel, Jegens, or Biore. There is a limit of two deals per month.

    • Queponcrazy

How do I get the PG $110 booklets?

    • micrid

Don't make the same mistake I did with the banana boat suncare, even with the coupons and ECB they are still very expensive, their prices start at $10.50 at my CVS. If you have a BILO in your area they have banana boat B1G1 at like $8.99ea, with the $1coupon it make them $3.50 vs. CVS at $6.00ea after all the savings.

    • ireneY

Got a second $3/$10 cosmetic Q from the magic machine after using the first one! If you go back every other day, you should get a new one. Great with all the clearance and MQs out!

I am a little annoyed because I was unable to find the sale items in stock at the CVS in Hull, Ga. I even went the day after the truck and nothing was in stock except the huggies diapers….

Has anyone had issues using a CVS coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item this week? Earlier this week I purchased, along with a few other items, 2 Nature Made Vitamins and 1 Revlon lipstick. The red box had given me a $6 off Revlon and I had (2) $3 off Nature Made product CVS coupons. I also attempted to use one manufacturer coupon for each item. The register beeped for each of the CVS coupons and the cashier said she couldn't do anything about it.  I asked her to call the manager and she told me that I had too many coupons and there was nothing she could do to make the register take them.  I have been couponing and shopping at this CVS for over eight months and have never had a manager not be able to override the register. Of course, I've also never had the register reject CVS coupons before. They usually bend over backwards to help you. The cashier was very nice and said that it has only been rejecting the coupons like that for a couple of days.  Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences? Thanks!

I rarely use CVS ExtraCare discounts, but I thought today was a good time to use one.  Today I used a 30% off my purchase discount I had printed at CVS earlier in the week.  I purchased a couple of little items, then also a Cover Girl expensive item I wanted to try. The discount did not say it would not work on sale items, but the clerk mentioned that as I was checking out.  I was in a hurry, so I didn't question my total at the time, as I didn't want to make a scene, but it didn't sound right.  My total paid was less than $20, but I expected it to be much lower.  I only received 30 cents off for my coupon! I called the store for clarification & was told that since the makeup item was on sale, even though I only purchased one, I still could not get the 30% discount off it.  That does not make any sense to me, since I paid full price for it.  If I had known I would not get 30% off of the makeup item, then I would have purchased a second item to get 50% off of that, but I only needed 1 item, as I don't use Cover Girl very much.

Is this the case at other CVS stores?  I plan to return the item to CVS if I see it cheaper somewhere else.  I used my $1 off manuf. coupon, but it still was higher than at Wal-Mart.

The cvs coupons state that it excludes sale items.

        • Anne

Mine did not state that, as I checked to make sure before I used it.  Also, why would the makeup item be considered a sale item when I only purchased one, so it was not on sale?  I just don't understand how they can call it a sale item in that case.

I had a good trip today.. 1st time EVER that everything was in stock.  I got 88.00 of stuff for 8.00 and still have 2 in ECB for next week.  That was 91% savings.

I wish that my newspapers included more of the coupons that you mention. I buy several ones and I still end up missing a vital coupon that would make the deal.

So I did the spend $30 on P&G get a free razor and I don't think it is correct.  I discussed witht he Asst Manager and he was not understanding me so I need a little help.

4 Covergirl Natural Lip Color 2/$7
1 Bounty Basic Paper Towels $5.99
      1 Dawn Dish Soap $0.99
      1 Proglide Razor 9.99

This was a total of $30.98
The register did something funky and rang up the items not on a sale price which totaled 51.41 then reduced by $20.43 for sale so my total was $30.98.  Then in bold is says spend $30 or more, save $9.99 but it didn't take off the $9.99.  I think I was suppose to get 2nd razor free, but when I asked the manager was confused and I got flustrated and left.

My total after coupons ended up $4.75 but I think I got shorted the $9.99 for spending $30.00 as there is no $9.99 deduction on my receipt.  HELP!

I had the same problem. The Covergirl NatureLuxe Lip Color that is on sale 2/$12 rang up at $7.49 each, the Dawn Dish Soap rang at $1.77 each and the razor that was supposed to be free when you spend $30 rang at $12.99 and only deducted $7.54. Shame on me for not noticing before I left the store but when I did notice and returned to the store for a refund of the $5.99 plus tax they overcharged me I was told I would have to come back in with the items in question. I find this crazy seeing as it was their mistake that I have to make a extra trip with the items just for them to make it right. The only way you get a good deal at the drug stores is with sale items and coupons. And should they not make it right my only option will be to get a full refund but then I'm out my coupons. My history with CVS hasn't been positive. They either don't have what I'm going in for or they get something wrong.

I found some loreal infallible undereye concealer with spf on clearance..originally $12.40ish but new price $3.12…I had a $2 coupon with me which is why I was looking at the loreal products but some nice person left a $3 coupon specific to the infallible products near these items so I got it for 12 cents :) I thought I might get the ups since it was originally more than 10 dollars but since it rang up as the clearance price I didnt but oh well still an awesome deal
