Here are all the deals that start Sunday 5/8 at CVS. This is one of the smallest ad’s I’ve seen for CVS in terms of deals.  I made one scenario for any one shopping on Saturday night with the new $5 off coupon in various papers across the country or if you have a $4 off $20 they recently emailed.

See the actual CVS weekly ad.

This week scan your card at Coupon Center and you’ll get a $3 off $10 cosmetic purchase coupon!

I think (unless I am missing something) that the SS 5/01 had a coupon for $2/2 Hershey's or Reese's drops or pieces. That should make the candy $1.50 a bag.

      • Staceyf

It did. I have some and am hoping to use them!

      • Nita Royal

CVS also sent me 2 $1 off Q's for the Hershey/Reeses drops, so watch your mail to get them cheap!

    • Fairyandgnome

looks like it was a good weekend for us to go on Vacation.. doesnt look like CVS is going to have anything I would even want.. lol

    • I might drop by to get the brownie mix and pantyliners. Otherwise, no CVSing for me this week.

    • Rgnurse911

There is a $2/2 coupon for the Hershey drops in the SS 5/1.

    • Ag Black

if i go saturday night do i get the ecb's?

      • Anonymous

If your store isn’t a 24 hour store you should. Only way it won’t work is if that same product is on sale this week it will try to give you the “best” price and you won’t get the ecbs.

    • Americanbaby27

      Yikes.. thats depressing!

    • Crafty_cat_86

looks like it's a good time to use up some good coupons:

Use: $5/10 wet n wild purchse (sept all you)
      (4) 5 off similac
3/15 baby care purchase (from red box 3 weeks ago)
      3/10 make up purchase
      4/20 purchase (emailed)
      $1 off pantiliners
      $2/2 Hersheys

and it will all be free!!

go to rite aid for your Wet n Wild:$3 +UP WYB $10 worth of Wet n Wild Cosmetics, at B1G1 at 99¢-$3.99 Limit 4

that's limit 4 on the whole deal, not limit 4 items, so you will double the amount you can get w/your coupon as well as get the $3 off $10 deal you would've gotten at CVS w/their $3 off $10 cosmetic q! pretty crafty, hmm?? wish I had your coupon!!!

        • Harlie_girl2u

Do you know which insert they were in? I know I have them because I remember seeing them but not sure where in the stack to look.

        • Stephanie in Bham

They were in the 4/3 Smart Source. I have been buying the bottles that I will donate as this among other baby items seems to be a heavy request from what I have been hearing.

        • Lotusblossom262

Thecouponcutters.com has them. They are really quick about shipping too. You can only order 5 per day with them though.

For the last two weeks, and 4 visits to CVS I've gotten the same 2 q's from the red box. 25c off candy, 1.00 off twizzlers. I now have 4 sets of these. When will I get something different. Do I have to use one to change what I get?

      • Amy J.

I sure hope not, because I too seem to be getting the 25c off snickers or some kind of candy…….for the past 4 or 5 weeks. I'm not expecting the rare “cha-ching” coupon (you know the ones, that actually give you a good $$ amount off something you actually buy/use, then there's ecbs that week or a great manuf q, and it works out in your favor), but at least on something i actually use or would like to try. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful they give us ANY coupons at all :-)

        • michelle

same here that is all i have been getting :(

          • CCShad

            .25 off Snickers, etc
I have like 10 of those!

            • Kenzbug

Me too! I've been getting the same snickers every week for months.

            • Firstbrownie

I have lots of those too and I've use some! I think the machine is broken! :) Or it knows it is me!

        • Jo R

I hear you- I usually get candy coupons or Starbucks – or something very random! Glad they offer them but am waiting to get a good one!

      • Prsol

        Yep! It totally sucks!

I thought it had to do with the Easter candy craze, and here we are… moving away from chocolate and now into twizzlers!!!! (which I find disgusting… LOL … Oh well! I'm sure somebody is enjoying them! ;-)

      • Babybird125

if you scan your card 2 days in a row you will change what you get

      • amom

Our “Red box” was not working this week, so no coupons from there, but I got great coupons on my receipt, so I was wondering do I not get coupons on my receipt because it knows I already got lousy ones from the “red box”?

    • MelRae

Wow, no acorns in the ECB deals? Not a good week at all!

      • well similac is free after coupons and a few other things, so i'm not sure how free items arent worthy of stacking up on lol. bad week though

        • Prsol

Similac was a money maker at grocery stores, in the past few weeks.

Free + Profit is better than Free! LOL… ;-)

I got 2 bottles and donated them to my church. Win-win situation as they used them in their food pantry, and I got to enjoy a little money maker off my total purchase. ;-)

    • Amber4usf

I have a $5 off of $30. Should it be scanned before or after the other coupons?

      • Amy J.

        Before :-)

    • Hannah

I have a buy 2 get 1 free ziploc coupon from a tearpad a while back…could I use that with a $1/2 coupon to get three baggies for $5.00?

      • Sdavisva

You should be able to do that. I have read that some b2g1 or b1g1 q's have a special coding if they don't want you to use a q for the items you are buying to get the 1 free. I've also read that there is an order you should give you're coupons in this situation, but I've never had a lot of trouble. HTH!

    • Debby S

Hi, I live in South Mississippi and I just went to our CVS in town and I spotted the Precise Tylenol is $3.89, 50% off.

Does anyone know if Nutrogena face care ever goes on sale for better than $10 off $25 purchase? Been watching for a while and haven't seen anything….

      • Think of it this way… ECB offers are sneaky sale prices! When you look at it this way, those prices are 40% off…. add your coupons and I dont know if it will get better than that.

yeah, $10 UP on $20 purchase RIGHT NOW at rite aid. Just got mine:) I bought the naturals and had the q for buy a neutrogena naturals products, get a free naturals lip balm, but didn't see the lip balm…remembered when I got home that I'd seen the lip balm in a diff section on another trip…wondering if they'll still give it to me free if I bring in the receipt along w/the coupon???

    • Mandarpandar

ok so I have two 5.00 “checks” mailed to me from the similac company, I want to use them on the 4.99 similac, but the check says “formula purchase must exceed check value” does this mean I can't use it since it's just 4.99, or will I be able to use it once tax is included?

      • Isabela

I have the same question. Does anyone know the answer to this? I don't have Similac coupons, only these checks they mailed me.

        • Meganclaycohen

i know it says that but i too use those and i have never had a problem even when its under the amount of the check, its considered a check and goes through at the end with your license #. you can also use a coupon when you use the check. makes really great deals on on powder cans at foodlion. i use a check, coupon and store 3off coupoon at foodlion. hope that helps@mandar

    • I got a $5 off Clear Care twin pack CVS coupon at the printer a few weeks back. That will make it a great deal!

Just wondering if someone would explain the BOGO deals..i.e. Right Guard bogo priced at $2.99…Will I have to pay the $2.99 to get one free,I was told that they would both be free..can't seem to figure this one out…this should also apply to the Clean and Clear body was too(I think)…thanks

      • southernbelle

@mommytotwo- best I can tell from the “learn to coupon” video on this blog, you would have to have this: CVS would have to run a buy 1 get 1 free sale and then the Coupon would have to be buy 1 get 1 free and you would have to use 2 coupons to get them both for free….. check her video on being new to CVS or whatever it's called. I can't remember exactly what she said …

      • Isabela

@mommytotwo:disqus The store's BOGO sale makes one product free. Your coupon makes the second one free. That's how you get two for free. Then, if you have 2 of the same coupons, you would get 4 for free, and so on. Hope this makes it clear.

    • Kmclem99

i have a question i have 2 coupons for buy one get on free on old spice body wash can i use both of them and get four free

      • Isabela

Yes, but you will get 4 for free only if your store is having a BOGO sale.

    • Kristi

I'm also interested in any Similac coupons anyone may have, I'd be glad to trade/etc. Thanks so much! My direct email is hootiesoftball@aol.com. Thanks again! :)

    • Beth

How do I get the Chef Borardee coupon .50/3 . I clicked on the printable & it sends me to the feed the children. I don't see a coupon.

      • Prsol

Hi, the coupon options display AFTER you submit a purchase code.
Participant brands have selected products with a 8-digit code on the back. You can use this one to begin with: 68994569(not sure if there's a limit of coupons per purchase code. I got it off one of my Marie Callender's meals. Hope it works for you too.

    • wendyc33

I would like to say on these free deals we are getting this week like the simlac ready feed especially. These are great donation ideas for the tornado victoms. Please give and donate extra. Thanks from Alabama..

      • you could always get them at walmart (usually around 3.50-3.85) and actually get back the overage, so you could make money off of it while also helping others :)

        • I got about 30 bottles of similac a little while ago and received $45 dollars in return, and just took them to my local women's shelter

    • clgh

I have been couponing for a little now, but havent done any major drug store purchasing. I've decided to do CVS, and I think my store has a few different deal than shown. Anyway, my question is: Can I separate my items into different purchases and then use the ecbs earned from purchase #1 to pay for purchase #2? etc, etc?

      • Minpinfin

Yes you can, its called rolling them. It helps when you want to keep your OOP as low as possible.

    • Confused…

Okay– This is a repost from the this week's comment thread because it looks like the activity has moved over here to next week's deal discussion. LOL

      I have a couple questions-

      I had read in
several places (not here, I don't think) that if you use an EBT card to
pay for your food purchase at CVS, then you can still earn ECBs if there
is a deal going on. So I went to CVS and bought maybe $16-$17 worth of
the items on their “Buy $15 get $5 in ECBs” page. Of course, after
coupons I only paid $11 in EBT and about 50¢ in tax on the coupons. But,
though I got $1 EBC for having met my Green Bag Tag reward, I did *not*
get the $5 in ECBs that I was expecting. Can anybody tell me why?

can't I get a deodorant coupon to print at that dang kiosk??? Am I
doing something wrong? I scan my card when I walk in, and I even scan in
more than once, sometimes. I mostly just get candy coupons. Is
      there a trick to it?

      • Carriesaves

did you ask the cashier why you didn't get your $5 ecb? They can manually print you off some if you can prove to them you followed the sale correctly. What is EBT card? i am not familiar with that. As for scanning your card at the kiosk/coupon center, it's random. I get alot of candy coupons too, but sometimes get some great ones. It may depend on your past purchases. Some days i am near cvs but not shopping there, i will stop in to scan my card, just in case they are printing a better coupon. I think it's a gamble most of the time, but the more you scan it, the better the coupons get.

        • New2Coupons

EBT cards are the cards people use when they have food stamps

        • Confused…

Like New2Coupons said, EBT cards are how we are issued “food stamps”. I was trying to stretch my food dollars (like all of my other dollars) and I figured that the $5ECB would be enough to buy me 5 more Life Water's for my DH's lunch. I was figuring that into my trip when I assessed whether it would be worth it to purchase the items from CVS or not. Considering the fact that I did not get the ECBs, and I had to pay tax on the coupons (it was a small amount– but still), I would have been better off going elsewhere. (CVS is the only place that has charged me tax on coupons when I used my EBT card.)

I want to email them and ask, but for some reason that have NO email address to contact for customer service. They have a snail mail address, and they have a phone number. I homeschool my kiddos– there is no way I can get enough peace and quiet to talk to someone on the phone while I'm caring for them. They have radar for when I'm trying to do something “important” and they pick that particular time to lose their marbles and get loud and crazy. Bleh.

          • @d9bcb01de17bba494b94ebfb03f1b0b0:disqus Hey, you're not the only homeschooler out there with kids that go crazy when you make a call, lol. We deal with that all the time in this house. What I usually do is lock myself in the bathroom. If they are still loud, bring a fan in there with you or turn on the vent.

            • Confused…

LOL. I'd say that I'm certainly not the only one. Unfortunately if I lock myself in the bathroom– the kids get even crazier! FTR, I rarely even get to pee by myself. heheh. I did try calling just a little bit ago, though. Of course I neglected to notice that they are CLOSED on the weekends. How frustrating. :-/

      • Ree

I use EBT to purchase food items at CVS also, and have always gotten the correct amount of ecb's. Try talking to the cashier!

        • Confused…

I wonder if it would be too late to talk to the cashier. I made this purchase 2 days ago. :-(

      • Misty_bryant

        • Confused…

Before tax my subtotal was $11. Now, obviously I didn't pay taxes on that. (Though I did pay 52¢ on the coupons.) But my total before coupons would have been $17.76. The deal requirement was for $15. I should have met the requirements easily. I was under the impression that you had to meet the total before coupons were taken. That's how it's been with all of the other non-food items I've bought recently. (I've only been doing the coupon thing at CVS for a couple weeks.)

      • Confused…

Welp, I went in to talk to a CVS cashier. I figured out why it didn't work– I hadn't fulfilled the deal. It was specifically for the stuff in the red box at the top of the page, and I thought it was for the stuff on the whole page. Oops. Crisis averted. There is nothing to see here. I'm just an idiot. LOL.

    • Confused…

Wow. I didn't mean for that to take up half a page. Sorry!

    • ireneY

OMG!! Went into the store today to use the $5/$20 from the AJC. Scanned the machine first and got the usual piddly stuff. After checkout, I got a $5/$15 good for 3 days along with my ECB! Has this happened to anyone else? I'm thinking they reward people for shopping at the end of the week?! If this is indeed the magic formula, I'll be there every Friday!! :)

      • Susan

Got the coupon on one purchase, my friend didn't get it but we both used the $5 off $20. Her's purchase had ECB deals, mine did not! I think that is what triggered it – “come back and use your ECB's as fast as you can!”

      • Gina

Lady in line in front of me got the $5/$15 coupon today. I did not. I had an ECB deal. Don't know what she had.

      • Harlie_girl2u

i went Friday and didnt get it. i would have been very happy about that one. my cvs is in Trenton GA

      • Pambane

got the same thing, how great it that.

    • If anybody would be willing to donate extra coupons, I would like to start putting together care packages for the families affected by the storms in the Southeast.

    • Lacat

I couldn't find the coupon in Thursday's Charleston Post and Courier for the $5.00 off $20.00 coupon. Is it in the paper itself or a separate circular?

      • Harlie_girl2u

Not in Huntsville Times or Chattanooga paper either. I did get the e-mail for 4.00 off 20.00. it is good till 5-8 today. oh me

    • Etan999

      what are acorns?

      • itismedia

        Great deals!

    • Nackle78

What a crummy CVS week, except for the brownie mix ;) I heard there will be a killer Huggies deal next week. This is sad….

    • 2thFairy

I did not get a $1/2 q for Xtra Laundry Detergent in my 5/1 SS. I live in Middle Georgia

      • Chad P

        You can buy it off
. I got mine there. Hope that helps. although you have to get 5.00 worth of coupons to order. So you might find some others you were looking for.

        • Harlie_girl2u

Isnt it Fraud if you sell coupons thats what it says on them. Im asking because I would consider trying to purchase some. Only if I dont commit a crime. New to all this Thanks fo all the great info.

          • Meggie

I purchased some this week…it states you are paying for their time and effort to sort cut and send the coupons. You are not paying for the coupons

      • Harlie_girl2u

I did not get it. I live in Valley Head AL. I would like some. I get The Huntsville Times and a Chattanooga paper the coupons differ the Atlanta paper has the good ones. Anyone know if they would deliver to me on Sundays. Thanks for all the good info on this web site. I really enjoy being on here.

        • Harlie_girl2u

Oops I made a mistake I over looked that cpn several times.lol Because It was in there.I just noticed it. Oh happy day thaks for your post that made me ck 1 more time.

    • Fdwife18

Hey, if anyone has any of the similac coupons that they are not using I could really use them! my son is on Alimentum(which is not included in this sale) so it gets very expensive! thanks so much, you can email me

      • LeAnna

Where were they? If I have them-I will be happy to mail em to you….

      • Shanna79

I've got some you can have. And LeAnna, it was in the 4/3 Smart Source.

    • Hecarpen

Can you use your ECB to pay for items that gives you more ECB?

      • Juli

Absolutely! That's how we get so much stuff for free…also, unlike Walgreen's, if you buy, say, an Oral B toothbrush and get an ECB, you can use that ECB to purchase another Oral B toothbrush. (just watch the ads for limits)

        • Jellibean939

          what is ECB?

    • kristyi

      yes you can!

    • Sandy in SC

So in looking at the current ad and this weeks' (tomorrow) ad-is it worth it to wait til 6 to go for both or just go for today? Only a handful of things in either of them, like y'all have said, not much going on.

      • Laura (GA)

        Hi Sandy!

      • tori729

        I'm going today for both!

    • DrewsMom

When does Sunday sales for CVS / Walgreens / Rite Aid actually begin if they are 24 hr stores? May be a silly question, but I'm learning :o)

      • Laciecranford

At midnight, however if it is not a 24 hour store then you can but Sunday sales after 4 p.m. on Saturday

      • Dlduff0285

The ad at 24 hr stores actually starts at 9 pm.

    • Beatricescool

hey does anybody have any similac coupons willing to trade. if so email me at

    • Beatricescool

hi im new to southensavers is there any one in the central florida area wiling to give a newbie tips i have an unlimited supply of newspapers please emial me at

      • 5yoders

My best friend Tasha teaches coupon classes. Look up her at her blog. @thebrickhouseblog couponing for good

      • nutsy

hey, beatricescool, you don`t have to go to another website to learn how coupons work. if you will scroll down at the end of this website & click on getting to know jenny more. you`ll get to see her videos. and she can teach you a lot more on her videos. good luck & happy couponing

      • Try truecouponing if you were looking for a local person giving classes. Never been, but I've heard..

    • Mollieirene

What a lame week @ CVS.

    • karen

      thanks Jenny

    • mrs.b

went to my cvs today (new ad started at 4pm). Did great BUT the computer did not take the complete $5 off Similac coupons..only the sale price – whomp whomp whomp

    • Mlaurie406

Need help!! I lost my CVS card!! I have no idea how, but I lost it. I have had it for YEARS and only have the one card (not attached to my key chain), is there anything I can do?? I do NOT remember the phone number that is attached to it (tried it once, and my last three phone numbers did not work). Have I pretty much lost my ECB (I have $12.99 in ECB's and am less than a dollar away from a $5 Beauty Club ECB!), or is there anything they can do???

      • Adncsu1

I just saw on the CVS website yesterday that you can request a duplicate card.

        Call 1-800-SHOPCVS

      • Tammie

call customer service. 1 800 SHOP CVS

There should be someone there at this time of day.

      • Mlaurie406

Okay, so ignore me. I found it!!! I searched EVERYWHERE. And it was in one of the kids toy boxes. I'm guessing my daughter swiped it and was pretending it was a credit card for her toy cash register. Thank you for the info, though. Will keep that in mind for the future. Better yet, I may just order a duplicate now just to have a back-up card!!

        • JTTLC

This is too funny….I cannot tell you how many times I have found MY things in the kid's stuff….now when I lose something it is the first place I look! :)

    • Casalindadesign

What is the Proctor and Gamble $100 booklet and where can I get it?

      • NorthALCouponer

It came out months ago. You probably won't be able to get it unless someone on Ebay has it for sale.

        • Casalindadesign

    • blessedbeingmom

Please help me understand how this works. This is just an example as I'm not sure of the specific value of the coupons I have as they are at work right now.

Okay, so for example I buy $10 worth of Cover Girl product listed in ad. I have manufacturer coupons for $2 off. I also have the in-store coupon for $3 off $10 cosmetics.

Now, the special is as follows:

$3 ECB WYB $10 Covergirl Products pictured: Limit 1

I did spend $10, but then if you subtract both coupons (in-store & manufacturer), I actually only spent $5. Will I still qualify for the $3 ECB or did my coupons make me disqualified due to now not spending enough?

      • moneysavingmama

Yes you still get it ….it is the pre coupon total that counts!

      • Cheryl

I did have an issue one time with this kind of scenario, where the computer took it as the after coupon total, but the manager did an over-ride to give me the ECBs. It should not be a problem and if you don't get the ECBs for whatever reason, bring it up to the manager and they should correct it.

      • Joney

just be careful with this, as I went into my CVS today to do the same thing but didn't read the ad closely enough. It's ONLY on Covergirl items pictured, or else it will nt print out ECB. Oh well, guess I'm returning some makeup tomorrow :-(

    • Very disappointed. Went to CVS today to use my $5/$20 coupon and they were out of everything I wanted to buy. Plus, I have $5 in ECB's to use that expire on the 13th and this week's ad isn't all that great. Oh well.

      • Cbast3

You might want to check your CVS' policy on expired ECB. Mine takes them as long as they are in the same month. So yours will still be usable until 5/31.

    • Fallaya

Guess I'll be skipping CVS this week!

      • Christina-nicksmom

Got to get the milk. ECB $1.00 per gallon.

    • kristyi

Went to CVS tonight & on my receipt printed a $10 off aquify twin pack contact solution. This is my favorite solution & I needed some anyway. Went & checked the price & the twin pack costs $14.99. I bought it & pd with the cvs coupon & a $5.54 ECB (from Colgate). It then printed me out a $5 ECB not bad for some much needed contact solution. Woohooo.

    • kristyi

Isn't there a $3 off scrubbing bubbles cpn in the May All You magazine. I don't have my coupon stuff with me but thought I remembered seeing this. Wouldn't this make for a great scrubbing bubbles deal this week?

    • Sillymom2three

YAY I use excedrine migraing a lot, will be getting it there this week( And I have couopns from my neuro for it LOL)

    • Sonjafe

I'm new at this, just wondering about 12/$10 Grocery special. Do you have to buy 12 items to get them for .83 each? Can I buy just two of the Brownie mixes and get them for .83 each?

      • Deshisk8chick

yes you can buy just 2 and get them for .83 each. At cvs the only thing will have to buy 2 of to get the special is b1g1 free items and b1g1 50% off. hope this helps

    • Sonjafe

      Thank you, @
      Deshisk8chick. That definitely helps. :^)

    • If you get PARADE magazine in your newspaper there is usually one coupon in it. Last week was $1 off on two bags of Wonderful pistachios (any size) and this week is $3 off Glade sense and spray which can be used above to get ECBs.

    • Hollykincaid1978

The Smart Source coupons that came in today's paper don't have either of the coupons that were supposed to be in there (Carefree pantyliners and the toothbrushes). Anyone else have this problem?

      • Malloryanne

My smartsource for this week and last week did not have the toothbrush coupon for colgate in either

        • Greg

I just paged through the insert at the store this morning and put it right back on the shelf. No q's that I wanted now, none that I could see needing in the future. Thanks The State for saving me 2 bucks this morning.

      • Lkmeetze

Mine either. I was wondering the same thing. :/

      • Nita Royal

My SS insert didn't have them, nor did they have most of the Q's advertised last week!

      • Learning to Save

        Mine either?!?! :(

    • brie

There is not a coupon for the $1 off carefree in the paper

      • Pagina

There was in mine (Charlotte Observer). It said Free up to 1.29 or $1 off any Carefree.

      • FAITH

In the Greenville Newspaper the carefree coupon is located on the page behind the dulcolax coupon

      • Angelascoupons1

There were two coupons, Carefree being one of them, that I did not find in the SS coupons. I wonder why???

      • Clipcouponmissy

I was out of town and got a paper in Atlanta. I was excited to see 2 SS inserts, and thought I had double. After looking, one had ALL of the coupons, and the other was the limited one like we get in the Chattanooga paper. My thick insert had the carefree coupon, and the other insert did not..

    • Jamie

Can someone explain to me how ECBs work? I just got the hang of RRs at Walgreens and now I have to tackle this one.

      • Paige

You should watch Jenny's video for understanding CVS found at the top of this page and her getting started guide. It really helps!

      • laura

ECB's work sort of like free money or gift cards. The one thing I like best about CVS and Rite Aid is: you can use as many ECB's or UPs rewards on any transaction whereas Walgreens you can only have as many coupons as items. They expire within a week or two but I usually go every Sunday so it works out perfect and keep my OOP lower. HTH!

    • Greg

Are CVS rain checks good at any CVS or store specific. I got a RC for dove mens deo when it was .99c. They had the ecb sale last week, but never had any in stock. This week, there isn't even a spot on the shelf for them. They filled in with other brands.

      • sc couponer

They are good at any CVS.

    • Mcleodsc

Well, this is going to be a very slow week. NO coupon insert in the local paper-in fact the CVS, WAGS, and Riteaid sales papers were also missing. So, I buy THE STATE newspaper. I got the coupon insert but it does not have most of the coupons mentioned in the CVS sales flyer. WHY does CVS include coupons in their deals? I cannot locate an email address to complain.

      • Harlie_girl2u

I bought the Huntsville paper the Chattanooga paper same thing none of the cpns that I was looking for were there so I drove even more to buy Birmingham paper $2. not there either Im in AL. I think we all should complain about th can any of you tell me who to complain to. These cpns were in the Atlanta GA paper. Cpns were nessasary for the really good deeals. There has to be someone who could help . Everyone should have the same cpn opportunities available to us. Thanks for any ideas of suggestions.

        • Guest

Coupons vary by regions and by cities. Example if you buy Atlanta paper in different parts of metro you can have different coupons.

    • Malloryanne

Anyone know where the 1/2 Xtra Detergent SS 5/01 is or have it in their paper? I looked through all of my SS for last weeks state paper and can not find it.

    • bootsiegirl

Last week I tried to find the 3-pk Ivory bar soap for 99 cents. There were none on the shelf so I asked for a raincheck. Cashier asked me how many I wanted and I said six. He said that would be a special order for him because he usually only keeps 2 or 3 on the shelf.

Why would CVS have a sale item that they don't stock more than 3?

      • ash

i knew they would be sold out at the cvs in my area, so i got mine at wal-mart for 97cents- if you have a wal-mart close to you, i would just go there instead!

        • bootsiegirl

does WalMart take manufacturer's coupons that I was planning to use?

          • mlndm1

Yes, they do I went there this morning and used them.

            • Harlie_girl2u

Went to wags today @ 3pm for the bogo on clean and clear body wash. I had 4 m qs bogo for a total of 8 free + tax they were all gone. the lady working that dept. told me there was 3 products there was 2 of each scent on the truck 6 for a b1g1 sale that started today really. The deal I did get I had a buy gilllete body wash get free gillete deoderant plus a $2 0ff m cpn for the body wash 2.49 for both. Ok the good part I was readt to give up on wags but the girl who cked me out was so nice and helpful as she was writting me rain cks she made my day by telling me I coild go to wal mart with ad and they would match the wags deal and still take my cpns. So I did and got 8 for free paid 1.91 tax. I was so greatful I went back by wags and gave the cashier that made my day 1 body wash and a thank u so much. She said it was her 1st Mothers Day present, she gave me big smile and a thank you. So because of her I will try wags 1 more time. Happy Mothers Day to all of you.

      • itismedia

The 3-packs are also 1.00 at Kroger. HTH

      • Pickynicky27

3 packs at walmart .97 cents

    • Pambane

Thank you, thank you, thank you, I got great deals at Walgreens and CVS with your help, 3 cases of water free, plus some other things at CVS. Walgreens I racked up on Clean & clear and a few more items. Again, thank you for all your help.

    • Newbie in Greenville

CVS has 32oz Gatorade B1G1; Moments to save from 5/1 has a B1G1 for 32oz Gatorade = 2 FREE Gatorades!

      • Mooream

Question- Greenville SC? Which CVS. This is only my second week, so I am still learning. If if give a B1g1 coupon, will I get 1 or 2 drinks since they already have them b1g1. I am just trying to figure out how many coupons to send hubby out with tomorrow for Gatorades. Thanks!

        • Nita Royal

Get 2 per coupon. Each BOGO is one from the store promo, one from the coupon. So if you have 2 Q's, get 4 free (be sure to check if there's a limit)

      • thehowell5

The coupon that I got in Nashville, you had to buy 2 to get 1.

      • Guest

The coupon I have says you also have to buy one recover and one prime and you get the Gatorade free. I have 2 copies of the coupons. is other people different from 5/1 book?

That is what my coupons are as well. Wondering if it will still work? From my research today you can combine a store BOGO with a Man B2g1 by buying one, then you would get your free one from the CVS deal, then you technically have “bought” 2, so you are then entitled to the third one. Basically 3 for the price of one. Just wondering if the prime and recover stipulations will mess us up? Anybody tried it and it work? I am new to this all…only week 2 for me.

          • Sheila

If the coupon states that you have to purchase the prime and recover, then you have to purchase the prime and recover. If you want to use the coupon on this deal, you buy one prime and one recover and get 2 reg 32 oz for free with the BOGO sale and coupon.

    • Nita Royal

Sad as this week's offering was, I finally wandered into CVS this evening. Not much, but a couple of decent deals:

The Red machine gave me $1 off any tampon, pad, or liner. Used this plus a .50 man Q, for a .51 MM. ( I asked the mgr first, as I felt a bit funny about this one!)

Almay was B1G1 50%, so I got a good deal on two eyeliners that were $7.49. Used today's $3 off $10, plus a previous Red Machine coupon for $5 off 2 Almay, plus (2) $1 off any Almay man Q's, Total for both = $1.12.

And, of course, 1 box of the brownies for .34 ;-) Paid with a CheckPoints $2 GC, and didn't use it all. Not sure if this trip was really worth almost a dollar in gas, LOL.

      • Mooream

Where were the Almay man q's from? I am going to recreate your deal if possible :)

    • laura

Awesome Deals this week at CVS. I picked up the Herbal Essence Deal, the Duncan Hines Fudge Brownies, Head and Shoulders and TWO Cetaphil 8oz face washes all for $8.17 with 2 RR back. Thanks CVS!

      • laura

Oops I meant to say ECB's back!

    • lgallen

HELP….I let about $17.00 in ECB expire my accident…what can I do??? Any suggestions. Live in Greenville, SC.

      • Piggy_171

        • lgallen

          • Abc79teach

Wow…I use to throw my ECB that expired away…I didnt know they could be reprinted…I have thrown away alot that have been expired by just a day…I'm glad I read this…thanks

            • Karen C

I've thrown away a few small ones over the months, too. Thanks for the info!!

      • Bugaboobags

I let that happen too and called the 800 #…they re-issued them to my card and I was able to print tem off at the red coupon printer at the store after 48 hours—I had one that they were not able to pull up, so I lost 4$, but got $30 back—better than losing the $34

      • Joynunez24

Most CVS will take them up to 30 days past expiration. Just check with your store to make sure. I would do that before calling.

      • Earnrj8fan

You all are lucky. My store wouldn't let me use mine 1 DAY after they expired. I called the number and the were RUDE and no help. I even emailed them and got a RUDE reply. I was not impressed at all.

    • blessedbeingmom

Forgive me for the length of these comment as I am a new CVS

Yesterday I took my first trip to CVS & got my Extracare
Yesterday (last week's sales), I bought the following items:
      Aussie shampoo – 2 bottles
      Pantene shampoo – 2 bottles
Cascade detergent action packs (20 ct) – 1 package
Mr. Clean magic eraser twin pack – 2 packs
Dawn dish detergent – 3 bottles
      Multigrain cheerios – 2 boxes
Colgate Maxwhite toothpaste – 2 boxes
      Ivory soap (3-pack) – 4 packages
Cookies & cream bunnies – 3 (marked down to 22 cents Easter candy for kids)
I had coupons for everything except the bunnies.
      I spent a total of $28.81, with a savings of $36.22, plus I got back $11.54 in
Extra Care Bucks toward my next shopping trip, so my net spending for yesterday
would actually have been $17.27 if you
subtracted the value of my Extra care bucks.

Today, for this week's sales (with coupons), I bought:
      Raisin Bran – 3 boxes
      X-tra detergent – 2 bottles
Speed stick deodorant – 3 sticks
      Carefree pantyliners – 2 packages
Zaditor eye drops – 1 box
First I gave my CVS card, then I gave my items to be rung up, then I gave my Extra
care bucks, & finally I gave my manufacturer coupons. Was this a good
      order to do this in?

      I spent a total of $15.92, with a savings of $33.76, plus I
got back $5.00 in extra care bucks for my next trip.

Finally, I scanned my card when I first got in the store today, but no coupons printed out. I was hoping for the $3 off $10 cosmetics. Is this because I just got my card, or do you have to be a Beautyclub member for that? I tried to sign up for the Beautyclub online, but it said my card number was invalid. Any advice would be appreciated.

      • susanna, FL

@36f70414eebe6424b6f65f985d152cd6:disqus Hi, it's been my experience that the best order to do things is to give your Extra Care Card 1st (like you did) and then any coupons and last of all your ECB's. This way, if the value of the coupons combined with your ECB's is more than the total price of the items you are purchasing, you can use the coupons and still have some ECB's left over. If you use the ECB's up, then you'll just have extra coupons you were unable to use.

Often the coupons that are printed out from the CVS store center are regional. I happened to get this $3 off $10 coupon this time, but normally I don't get the same coupons that are listed. It shouldn't matter whether you're a beauty club member or not. I would call corporate to ask for help in signing up for beauty club as soon as possible. That way, if there's something wrong with your card number, you can switch now before you've used it a lot.

        • blessedbeingmom

@3bf6fd19d0522326ddc436e1640675b6:disqus I was able to get registered/signed up finally last night. I'll keep that in mind about the ECBs & coupons, although in this case I knew I definitely had more than my ECBs even after subtracting coupons.

      • leighanne

It will take some time to get your card in their system but if you call their customer service they will enter it over the phone and it will show up! They have GREAT customer service!

        • blessedbeingmom

Thanks! I did try again last night & was successful in getting my card registered, signing up for the emails & signing up for the beauty club! Even got some coupons emailed to me for signing up!

      • itismedia

If you had given her your coupons BEFORE your ECB's you would have lowered your total. THink of ECB's as money. You paid for your items and then had them deduct coupons, make sense?

      • nucouponer

GIve your coupons first beore giving the ECB.

    • 2thFairy

Got my limit of (5) Xtra Laundry Detergents, paid with ECBs. OOP=$0

Still couldn't locate the Q in the 5/1 SS, assuming this was regional. Anyway…bought one bottle Friday when it was $1.99. It cleaned my clothes so well i had 2 go back 4 more.

      • Apoirier09

is there a deal on them?

        • 2thFairy

$1.49 per botte, plus it was stated somewhere on this site that there was a Q in the 5/1 SS. Never found the Q, but I used some ECBs to cover my small stockpile. Slow week…

      • cahugh4

I think these qs were regional. I received them both in the mail and in the newspaper so I ended up with 5-6 of them.

    • Cdg33

CVS is trying something new… it stinks if you are like me and shop on Saturday!! Ad ends on Friday and starts on Sunday!! There are no sale prices in the system on Saturday at all!! Manager told me that CVS is testing this method here to see how it does. Hope it doesn't do so well, lol.

      • blessedbeingmom

Wow, that definitely doesn't seem fair to all the Saturday shoppers!

        • cs

but its fair for the Sunday shoppers and those that can't get there Saturday night.

          • blessedbeingmom

Why not go from Sunday morning to Saturday evening though? Why have a whole day with no sales at all???

      • Odinvsaver

@cdg33 I live in between SA and Austin. but fortunately for me i am a sunday shopper. (only day off) so this change doesnt particularly hit me hard. question did you get the mithchum deodorant coupon in your paper this week? i wanted to utilize the deal, but that coupon wasn't in the austin statesman. at least not for me.

      • HeatherAnne

I'm in upstate NY, they're doing the same thing here. Second week in a row :(

    • If you didn't get the $4 off $20 email, just go to
and update your email address to get the email sent to you.

      • Paulanrodney

Just printed mine!!!!! Thanks for the tip!

    • Nisha1997

CVS has a great deal on Dove soap. The 6 pack dove soap is $5.88. I purchased 10 packs of the hunts snack pudding and 2 packs of dove soap. I used my $4 off $20 and 2 $1 off dove 6 pk and paid $16. I got $3 back. Then i purchased another 2 packs of dove soap and used $3 rewards buck, the store's coupon machine printed $3 off any cosmetic purchase (which dove qualified), and 2 more $1 off dove coupons. I paid $4 for that transaction. Total for 10 Hunt's snack pudding and 4 6-packs of dove was $20! What a deal?!!! I love CVS. I dont remember how much i saved but the soap alone was over $20.

    • Kgby13

A $2 off 2 Hershey Drops crt printed. Add that to the $2 mq above….Makes it $1 for two packs.

    • carey

I am new to CVS — this morning I noticed Sobe 20 oz (and Gatorade 32 oz) are BOGO, limit 8. I have a coupon from the 5/1 Moments to Save for $1.50 off when you buy 5 Sobe 20 oz. I was wondering — does this mean that I only have to purchase 3 (b/c I'll get 3 free) and then I can use my $1.50 off coupon? If so, do you think this is a good price on Sobe? Thank you.

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

That's correct! I'm not a Sobe drinker, so I do not know about the price.

        • carey

          that helps,thank you so much!

      • Paulanrodney

Carey If you are getting them less than a buck a piece that's good! the cheaper the better of course!

    • Flur

If the deal is to purchase a certain amount of an item, are the ECB calculated before coupons are given or after? For example, I have some Revlon coupons, and the ad says to purchase $15 worth of product. Is this before I give them my coupons or after? Also, when do I give them the $3 off $10 make-up? I'm new to all of this and I'm trying to make sure I get the most for my money :)

      • Sam

@Flur its 15$ worth revlon before coupons, also hand over 3 off 10 first and give the coupons after that, you can make the most of the deal like this.HTH

      • Nita Royal

Purchase price is before coupons. You can give them all coupons at once when you're checking out.

    • Lainiebug21

Do different area Smart Source papers have different coupons? My Smart Source 5/8/11 doesn't have a Carefree body shape coupon but this website says it does. Help!

      • Nita Royal

Yes, they vary dramatically. I buy 2 local papers and get totally different coupons. My paper didn't have the Carefree, or several others.

      • C~~

I have to agree, although I don’t live in your area, I purchased our local newspaper anticipating the coupons listed (no carefree either). I went back to the store just to look through the larger newspaper for our surrounding area (Houston Chronicle) and the coupon insert was definitely different and had more coupons (had the carefree coupons plus many more). So now I know for sure coupon inserts can vary by paper.

    • Cesgatorfan

In Tampa you buy Milk for $3.19 & get $1.00 Ecb this week in Tampa…..

    • Jule

If the store have a B1G1 Free, can I use (2) $4 off since I'm getting (2) item?

      • Jule

I just solve my own question by watching the video!

      • Janicecoupons2010

no not at drug stores.. but any other store u can

      • RUBIES20

you may want to check there policy i have one printed that says you can use one on each item

    • PAT kNIGHT

      2.99GIFT CRDS /

    • CVS was terrible this week for me. Nothing was in stock. I managed to get 3 packs of the carefree, a box of the john Frieda hair dye, and 2 bottle of aussie shamooo. Price before coupons was about $20. After ECB's and Q's I paid $2.00 OOP and I got another $2.00 ECB. I still have $8.00 in ECB's from last week – so I'm hoping for a good ad next week.

    • Sam

anyone tried this yet?can we use 3 off 10 cosmetic purchase and 5 off 25 cvs purchase together?

      • Sheila

I think that it's one of those YMMV things. I don't think that CVS allows 2 $/$$ coupons in a single transaction, but some cashiers may not care and let them go through anyway.

      • Gatorginger

      • Sam

        thanks for the reply

      • Aknapp65

I am always able to use them together :)

    • tina

      just got a email 5 off 25 :)

      • pdsmama

        Me too

    • When I went to CVS today the red machine (I don't remember what y'all call it lol) printed out a $2 off Huggies Little Swimmers and on clearance I found one individually packaged Huggies Little Swimmer (kind of weird) but it was $1 – so I got it and made $1!

    • Pickynicky27

how do you print this list without printing all the comments below?

      • Isu2014

Create list button…it is above the comments

    • Danyelle

OK, so I think I have this CVS thing figured out. I just went to CVS and spent $22.43 OOP. With coupons I saved $16.85 and got back $11ECB. All in all I got a tota of $39 worth for $11. HOT DOG!

Aquify, had $3 coupon got $5ECB. Colgate toothpaste had 2 $.75 coupon got back $3ECB for each twin pack.

Also bought some other stuff with coupons and 1 thing I didn't have a coupon for.

    • Happy Feet!!!!

Used my #5 Nivea and ivory coupon at Wal-Mart today… the Nivea is $3 …. so after ringing up 6 items totaling $16… I gave her my coupons… she kept piddlling with her register… saying sorry … It looks like my register is not working… apologizing how she needed to start over… to which I ask her to relook at my $ coupons… the look on her face when she realized I really did have a $0 balance plus tax….P-R-I-C-E=L=E=S=S!

      • Jabberjawzz1973

I finally found some in stock I was able to get 3 mens and 1 womans but I still have 2 womens coupons but can't find any in stock. Coupons expire in 4 days. Great Score. Between Gillette body wash deal few weeks back and this one I have scored 7 mens and 1 womans bodywash + 4 deodorant free. I love free.

    • Debbie

Does anyone know about how much the Gatorade and Sobe are regular price? Thanks.

    • Angelrena517

Ok, I'm new to this couponing thing and definitely new to CVS ecb. I have a question… on your deal idea for the Glade and Fantastik, how can it come out $8.50 and get the $4 still?? I just went and bought some Gain and with my 3- $1 off coupons it came to $11.97 and I didn't get the $4. I don't know if I'm just not understanding this right or what, like I said, I'm new. :) I just thought you have to have PAID $12 to get it. (?) Thanks

      • Greg

Do you have a CVS Extra Care card? If you don't have one you won't get the deals. The spend $$$ and get $$ back is totaled before coupons.

        • Angelrena517

I did get a card. And at the end of my sale it didn't print the coupon. I asked about it and they told me that I didn't reach $12 of approved product. I bought 3 bottles of gain @ $4.99 and then the coupons. If that should work, maybe I'll try it again? Thank you!

          • Lily

Take a look at the ad again. The ad is for the top 3 products with the red background only. The rest of the page does not apply.

            • Angelrena517

Oooh oohh, thanks!! I did not realize that. I don't have the ad anymore but I'll trust you. :) Like I said, new to the program and first time ever shopping at CVS, :) crazy I know. Thank you!

    • Geitania

Did anyone get the $3 Clear Care q in the SS 5/8? Our area didn't get it. Willing to trade anything that I have. Thank you! Please email me at geitania@hotmail.com.

      • Zombiemommy

I love clearcare. If you buy it regularly on sale at CVS, the scanner might spit out a $5 ClearCare coupon when you buy 2 (which means double pack). Last sales cycle I didn't get that coupon but I did the previous 5 sale cycles. So if you are near a CVS you might want to try scanning your card (I don't know if I would waste a trip a though if its far).

    • Daiana0786

i went to cvs to check on the price on the tylenol precise and it was at 1.99!!!!!i was in shock, then i went to check on the clearence part and i found the lysol no- toach soap system priced at 2.60!!! i still had 4 $3 off the lysol plus 2 $5 off the tylenolso i got everythiing for free plus i had an average of 7.60! the nivea body wash for women also in clearence at 1.75, i didnt have any of the $3 off but i still took one! i was so excited that i want it to share it with u guys!

i think i saw the rimmel new match perfection at $5 or so, with 2 $3 off rimmel (all you may) plus the $3 off cvs q' u can get 2 foundation for $1 right??

    • Leachmr4

It was my first time using coupons at cvs and I saved $28.53 and I only spent $10.63. I was so excited since this was my first time. I usually only save a few dollars (less than $5.00). Your site were very helpful.

    • Tdurham

I am new to all of this……does anyone have a code to be able to print the Chef Boyardee coupon? Thanks!

    • Martinez2351379

New to the coupon biz and after a month finally getting organized how it will work for me. Went to CVS for the panty liners and saw that Captain Crunch 5.5 oz is on the 10/ 10.00 (12/ 10.00). I remembered that I had a coupon (actually had 5!) for .50 off any size. (In red plum from April not sure which week) I scored 5 boxes and the dunkin hines brownies. Used a 2.00 ecb from the pantene special last week. OOP 50 CENTS!!! Love this coupon thing!!!

    • Happy Feet

I purchased 6 lifewaters BOGO which made them .79 each then I used the $1.50 coupon when you buy 5 Sobe products. I still had an overage so I purchase 2 Arizona Tea's and a 3 pack of Stride gum.

    • Jcs320

I have read through CVS's couponing policy as well as the coupon policy of my individual CVS store…I was wondering if CVS will take a manufacturers coupon and a printable coupon on one item? :)

      • No, printable coupons are most often manufacturer coupons and CVS will not allow two manufacturer coupons on a single item.

        • Jcs320

          Thanks so much Jenny :)

    • kori

HEARD OF THIS? i had a $5 off of $25 and a $3 off of $10 cosmetics. my total was around $36 after tax. i did the 5 off 1st, then the $3 off and it beeped. the guy said my total had to be more than the $25+10 before taxes. never heard this before. he said it wasn't a new policy. i had to find something else to buy to get me over the $35.

      • andrea

same thing happened to me today. the $5 off $25 does read that it cannot be combined any other dollar off coupon, so that's why you have to buy $35 total before tax to use both. i didn't realize this until today. i ended up just leaving my stuff there and not buying anything because it wasn't worth spending another $10 just to save $3 with the coupons i had.

      • Hwilkinson1

        I had the same problem.

    • afwife

Although the ad seemed to not be impressive, I was quite pleased with my trip yesterday(Thursday).  I intended on using the $5 of $25, other coupons, & making 2 transactions with ECB.
      Here's my trip:
      2 Kellogs Rice crispies:1.97= 3.94, less $1 manu coupon
      ClearCare twin pack:14.50, used $3CVScoupon, $3manufacturer, then rec'd $5 ECB for 2nd purchase
Claritin:$8.99, manufacturer $5(coupon did not specify kids/adults, it only said 24ct)  and the computer allowed it- was cheaper than CVS brand
      TOTAL: $8.50 after $5(off 25), $1 Kellogs, $3 Clearcare, $3 Cvs ClearCarecoupons, $5 Claritin, then rec'd $6 ECB for 2nd transaction
      2nd Transaction:
      3 Kellogs 1.97, less 1.50
      2 Maybeline Eyeliners B1G1 50% off $6.29+3.15, less 2 $1 coupons
1 wetn  wild lip liner,(love that liner!) brought me to just over $10 in makeup, for $3 off coupon.
      TOTAL: $4.37 after $3 makeup coupon, $2 in maybeline coupons, $5 ECB, $1ECB, $1.50 any 3 kellogs
Grand total: $12.87 for so many high priced items that we needed!  Claritin, Maybeline, Clear Care, Kellogs :)

a code for the Ravioli coupon is “63829897”, I printed 10 of each of the coupons on the site that I wanted, just hit the back button and click on the resend or go back to the website and reenter the code

    • stillcouponing

Yesterday I had my best CVS trip so far ! I got $42 worth of groceries for $1.82. I bought 4 Xtra detergents (2- 50 cent coupons, 1- $1 of 2), 3 2-liter drinks, 2 gallons of milk, a box of cornflakes, 2 herbal essence hairspray (B1G1 coupon), 2 covergirl loose powders ($2.50 off 2 coupon and $3 off $10 cosmetic from CVS box), and kid's aquafresh toothbrush and toothpaste (buy brush get paste free CVS coupon).
