Where did you get the CVS Brand Skin Care Product Beauty Book?

    • Jenny

It is in the Reinventing Beauty Magazine found in CVS. It costs .99 cents but has 12 or 13 coupons in it. Add it into a deal to make a great filler item! (Like above take out my two Clorox items and add in that…)

    • Tina Pletchan

I have a question about the Gillette Razor. If I bought one last week, is this a new deal that I can do next week since it is on sale again?

    • Jenny

The Razor is actually an unadvertised monthly deal, so if you have already purchased it, you can’t get it again. Sorry

    • Ellie

If my store is a non-24 hour store, I can buy these deals at 6:00 PM Saturday night, correct?

    • Jenny

That is correct. I have heard that a few stores don’t do this so check with your store, but once you know whether they switch early or not you are set forever!!

    • Thanks again as always!!! :) I am so glad that someone asked about the beauty magazine. I thought it was some sort of coupon that my mediocre store didn’t have!! I guess it will teach me to think first and not ask a question! ;)

    • Teia

Did you choose these items for your plan because you need them or because it was the best deal. I have not started CVSing and I am confused about where to start. And I did read the guide but something is not clicking for me but I feel like I am really missing out on something.

    • Jenny

A little of both. The best way to work CVS is to get the free items and money makers each week even if you don’t need them. you can always find someone that can!! By getting the money makers you are saving up CVS money to buy things that you really do need that might not come on sale. I will save up my ECB week by week and then buy our diapers there with those ECB’s. So this week buying a lot of Mylanta, I don’t use will help me to get FREE diapers in a couple weeks!! If you have any questions about CVSing just ask.

    • Marcie

What if your store does not have the product? I have found that once my store is out for the month, they do not restock that item. It was out of the mylanta and cotton rounds.

    • Jenny

You can get a raincheck, however both being a monthly deal they won’t give you one until the more towards the end of the month. They will staple the monthly ad to the raincheck and then when you do buy the item they can make it print the ECB it would have printed if you bought it during the month.

    • Natasha

Does anyone know where I can get the -$5 or -$3 off Renuzit Starter Kit coupons

    • Andrea

I bought 4 tubes of Colgate Total last week. I can’t remember if I earned ecb’s or not, but I know they were free after coupons. Is this week’s sale new or a carry-over from last week? I’ve thrown away my receipt, so I don’t know if I’ve reached my limit on the Colgate or not. Thanks.

    • Jenny

This is a new colgate deal! So you can continue stocking up. It is my families favorite toothpaste so we are always glad when it’s free.

    • Angie in Texas

I noticed Purez detergentis 2 for $7.00. I am new to couponing, so I am not sure if that is a good deal or not. It seems pretty good to me, but I noticed you didn’t mention it. Should I wait longer until the price gets a bit lower?

    • Jenny

It is a fairly good deal. I didn’t mention it because right now there are no Purex coupons and there probably will be some out soon. With coupons you can get this for around $2.50 each.

    • Angie in Texas

Thanks Jenny. I will wait a bit longer. Thanks so much for all of the great information!

    • Jen

Diet coke 12 packs at my cvs are ringing up 3.25 not 3.50 each, so if you are using these in the 10ecb back after spending 20 dollars, take note.

    • jenny

There is a $1.50 coupon for the colgate total in the new All you magazine. I just got mine today so I plan to use it tomorrow.

    • Lei

Can you help me with the math on the gillette shampoos? if its 4.99-3.00ecb then its 1.99. when i use my 2.00 coupon, will that give overage and then i have to buy something? or should i downgrade the ecb by 1 cent and then just pay taxes?

    • laura

Fyi, the gillette shampoos are 5.99 at the 2 CVS stores I have gone to. I bought some anyway and at both stores they rang up this way. Still only $1 and I had some ECB that I needed to roll forward..

    • Lessie

Hi, in response to there being no Purex coupons. There is one out. You can print it at http://www.purexsavesgreen.com.
      Happy Couponing!
      Lessie Purpera

    • Linda

J&J First Aid Adhesive Pads + Neosporin 5ct had a $2 off coupon on the box!!! I bought the three that were on the shelf, but your CVS might have some. This coupon and the ECBs made them free!

    • Theresa

I have done several transactions with my card over the past couple of weeks and I have yet to receive any coupons off of my next purchase. It seems liks others are getting them all the time. Am I missing something? Thanks!

    • Melissa

I bought three of the Suave body wash at $2.00 each, and it didn’t print my ECBs. I asked about it and the cashier offered to give me a refund, saying that that was last week’s price. It rang up as $2.00, so the price wasn’t the problem. But she kept wanting to give me a refund, when all I wanted was my $2.00 ECB.

    • Jennifer C.

My suave’s did the same thing but my check out person made me a ecb for 2.00.

    • Melissa

Same with me, Theresa, I’ve been using my card, doing these deals and everything – no coupons off my next purchase. We were in CVS tonight and my son’s gf dug a CVS card out of her purse, saying she didn’t even know she still had it, and hadn’t used it awhile. She bought a 20oz. Coke and bam, $4/$20 coupon spits out.

I guess my cashier didn’t know this weeks sales, Jennifer C. I reckon she will be learning pretty quick if this is happening to everyone.

    • BJ

I went to CVS in Southern CA and the Mylanta is selling at $6.99 – $3.00 ECB. You are saying it is ringing $3.65. How does it ring different that the price listed at the shelf?

    • Jenny

One certain type is just ringing up for a different price than it is marked. It is also now reported that the mint in the same size is ringing up at the $3.65 price too.

    • Amy McGuire

My Huggies rang up at $8.99 today (Tuesday) even though it said it was a sunday/monday sale only.

    • Gabby

Hi Jenny, I’m SO glad I came across your site over a month ago! I decided to try the CVS thing out (I also shop at Kroger), since I’m currently trying to start a freelance proofreading career and so we’re only living off my hubby’s humble salary.

At the beginning of Feb. I started out with an investment of less than $10 and got $17.48 in ECBs (we bought some Energy Drinks for a friend, but they gave us cash and we kept the ECBs, so I don’t count that as MY OOP ^_^). Today I went in to redeem those and got almost $40 in merchandise, paying nothing out of pocket, because for some reason the machine was giving the cashier trouble taking all of my ECBs (even though my total before ECBs was $18+), and so the cashier just cashed it out even (we basically got some clearance candy for free). AND, I got almost $16 in ECBs back!

I DID have to point out the Suave bodywash thing, since it didn’t print out the ECBs, and he said he’d had trouble with it before. (So it must be a system-wide thing.) He had to manually print it out.

Anyway, just wanted to share the beginning of my story which will hopefully come out as lucrative as yours one day! ^_^ Thank you SO SO much for your very helpful site!

    • Sharon

In Lexington, SC the Mylanta Mint (Ultimate) IS ringing 3.65, got $2 off from website making them 1.65 and getting back 3 ECB’s. Limit 5

    • Bethany

      Hi Jenny!
Just wanted to let you know that I could not find the Children’s chewable aspirin at my CVS, but saw that the Adult chewable aspirin was the same price and still had the $1.99 ECB with it. This might be a good option for those who do not have children.
Thanks so much for all you do!

    • Tonya

I’m probably just overlooking this but where do you get the coupons from your “My Grand Plan?”

    • Jenny

Look above the grand plan for the individual coupon deals and you will see them there.

    • Jessica

Will CVS accept competitors coupons? There is a poptart coupon from Target this week (or last), can I use it for the poptart deal? Will the clorox coupon work for the wipes? Wipes are not listed in the list of items on the coupon.

    • Jenny

They will not accept competitor coupons sorry. Only for prescription transfer gift cards. The clorox coupon should work for any clorox product.

    • Kelly

I’m having trouble printing the Colgate $1 off coupon from Colgate’s website. Anyone else having this problem? I’ve tried in both Internet Explorer and in Mozilla Firefox. Help!

    • Jenny

Actually if you search Southern Savers for “$1.50 colgate printable” you will find it on here.

I am not adding it to the posts anymore because I got tired of answering whether it was a legitimate coupon or not. It is a good coupon to use though so go for it!

    • Wendy

The problem with the Suave deal at CVS is that there are bonus sized bottles on the shelves along with the regular sized ones. They have different bar codes and they don’t ring up right, in terms of ECB’s. My CVS manager guy has had to force them through for me… and everyone else all week. Just thought I’d share my experience.

    • I am new to this and am going to try it today. Is it best to start off making 1 purchase for the nutregena get the bucks. then go back and purchase other things using the bucks? Do you earn bucks if you pay with bucks?

    • Sheila

Just came back from cvs we don’t have the .99 cotton circles, but I bought the 1.69 cotton balls and the rest of my 2 trips ended up being 85.00 before tax, coupons and ecb’s. I only paid 16.45 oop with 22 ecb’s for later. I didn’t think the machine was ever going to finish printing my ecb’s (so great). Oh and our reinventing magazine is located next to the makeup.

    • Jenny

Miranda – it is best to split your items into different transactions and use the ECB from the first to pay for the 2nd. You will get ECB even if paid with them, that is what makes CVS so wonderful. You hand them a piece of paper and they will hand you another one.

    • Hi Jenny,
How do you do your 3 transactions at CVS? Do you literally buy one transaction and then turn around with purchase #1 bag in hand and go back through the store for the next items for the #2 transaction? Or do you get it all at once in the buggy and just do several transactions there at the counter? If you do it more or less all at once, have you ever had any strange looks or gotten any grief for all the transactions? I am going to do this tomorrow, but not sure if I should do all my purchases at one store or go to two or do the purchases on different days.

      Thanks for your help!

    • Jenny

Aimee – I get all of my items in the buggy at the same time and then put them into transaction groups in the buggy and go up and pay for them back to back. The cashiers are very used to it and won’t give you any problems. If a line forms I finish what order I am on and jump to the back of the line for the next one.
