    • Melissa Herndon

said email already on file. would not give me the coupon

    • Stacy

I signed up and got the email but the link for the coupon won't work. Anyone else having this problem?

      • nancy

Yes, Stacy–it tells me to fill in all required fields when I already have.

        • jules

you all need to try this i heart cvs dot com lol have all the coupons you need weekly for them
check on every day for the coupons

    • Cathy

I thought I was already signed up but I NEVER get coupons or good emails from them so I used this link thinking that maybe I wasn't signed up. I entered my info and it said “You are already enrolled…” etc.
What am I doing wrong? Why do I never got $/$$ coupons or anything like that??? Anyone else have this problem with me??

      • Mandy

Me, too, Cathy. I'm already enrolled but have never rcvd 1 coupon via email :(

      • jennymanley

Same here, I haven't gotten emails in forever!

      • sarahocarroll

Same here… went to add my e-mail address (since I never get anything) and it said it was already entered.

I was really looking forward to a $$ off coupon too!

      • Lucy

Try getting a different card, it worked for me.,

      • Jackie Hanson

Me too! It said that I was enrolled but I never receive the emails.

    • If it is saying that you are already registered try using a new email address!

      • nurseteri

I tried using a new email still did not work!

      • WynetteC

Either it remembered that my card was registered with the first email, or else the second one just doesn't work because it told me when I entered a totally new email address:
“Your email address is already on
        file with CVS ExtraCare. You'll
        continue to receive email offers
        from us.”

I think I'll just email them my concerns.

    • Nona

I am already signed up and have never received any coupons from them :(

    • cjms6599

I have never received any coupons from CVS through email!

      • Erin b

        Same here.

    • coupondonna

So new to couponing…in what order should i give the cashier my coupons?

      • kemccarthy

Always give them the $3 off $15 or $4 off $20 first… Then manufacturers and ECB's…Since you are suppose to spend the $15 or $20 you dont want your manufactuers coupons bringing it below that amount

    • WynetteC

Nope, didn't work and I was so excited that this was the missing link. It said I'm already signed up to receive special offers etc. I only receive online offers through email ($5 off $65 online purchase), never in-store coupons. The last $4 off $20 email that I received was back in Nov/Dec 2009. Something changed in their system and I am starting to think it was intentional.

      • Amber

        same for me.

      • Hope

Same for me too. I have been very frustrated about it.

    • mlee_howell

Same here I guess if your Currently signed up with them no great coupon shucks!!

    • Lori

I am signed up and I haven't got any money off coupons in about 6 months. I have called their customer care service twice and was told by one lady that it depends on how often you shop. ( I am in their store every week) and the next lady told me that I should be getting coupons soon, but never did! Very annoying! I get the online offers, but never the in store coupons.

      • Lucy

Try to get a different card. I only got their coupon once, then lost my card and got another one mailed to me. Well the new card is a pot of gold, I've been getting $/$$ coupons every time I go. They are not that great, like $5/$40, so I have to do all my transactions at once, but still saves some money…

    • Lori

I wonder if you could get a coupon if you unsubcribed and then registered again??!!

    • claire

I got the $4 when I first signed up, and have gotten a questionairre that when I filled it out gave me a $2. Other than that, sure I get emails all the time, and sure, they have great savings/coupons…but they are for online shopping only!

      • tonja

Hey.. well I guess we should start a “DONT GET $$$ OFF CVS COUPONS CLUB”, because I never ever ever get the $$$ off q's.. I tried Jenny's suggestion just to be told what everyone else said.. U are already signed up.. bla bla bla… I get alot of emails for online shopping but thats it.. so.. for that reason I havent been shopping CVS either.. I need the incentive.. I dont have babies at home.. so the diaper deals dont help me out at all.. I with ya'll… CVS are u listening.. u r looseing lots of business due to ur pick and choose policy.. in my opinion.. If u have a card.. then u must shop there.. and u deserve what they give out to other people.. even the little red box only gives me $$$ off CVS paper goods or peanuts.. ugh.. very frustrating.. especially since u have to lay out the money to get the extra bucks back.. can get the same deals at publix… without having to deal with the EB.. see ya CVS.. I will shop where they appreciate my business..

    • Thanks Jenny! It has been many months since I have received any emails. I instantly got an email from them.

    • rfrench

My cousin said to scan your card everytime you go into the store, whether you buy or not, she got $4 for just going into the store!

    • HollieJ

Well I'm not happy that ya'll are getting the email coupons either but it's really nice to know that I'm not the only one! Always get the $ off of an online order..what good is that?? Thank the Lord for Southern Savers-Jenny is a blessing!

    • WynetteC

Sorry about this long explanation but here goes what I was just told…

Okay! Just got off the phone with CVS extra care customer service. Told her my situation, that I receive no $ off $$ in store coupons through email. She looked back in her system and could see where they did send me out $/$$ coupons on five different occasions back in Jan. and Feb. 2010. She also told me that all of those coupons were logged in their system only because they were sent out as email validation coupons. By this she meant that every time I would sign in to my CVS online account, the system would automatically generate a validation coupon to be emailed to that email address on my account to verify that my email is valid. She also said those validation or system coupons usually email out on Thursdays. I also had not signed into my online CVS account since late January 2010 which would explain the absence of the $$/$$ coupons.
:::phew::: what a mouthful! Anyhow, either there is a spam filter issue I need to deal with (unlikely since I have to manually block emails with my ancient version of Outlook) or else I need to put in a different email address for my CVS online account since I don't believe I get them correctly. She said only one email address will receive such a coupon, not multiple email addresses. Therefor I assume that also means only one email per account.

In conclusion, I am going to try this process and make it a habit to log into my CVS online account every week so that I will receive a validation email which means $$/$$ coupon to print.

Trial and error will either prove or disprove the information I was given today. Hope this helps! :)

      • Lucy

Wow, it's so weird what's going on with their coupons. I've gotten a $/$$ coupon ONCE in the last 5 months! And then I lost my card, so I've gotten another one, and I've been getting lots of emails and getting $/$$ coupons from the red machine almost every time I go! I've gotten 5 coupons over the last 2 weeks, unbelieveable!

        • jhh

If I get a new card but worse than the original one, can I go back and use my origianl card? I always have a problem with the scanner, everytime I walk into CVS and scan my card at the machine, I never got any good coupons like $/$off. I do receive CVS emails about $/$off coupons.

      • Amy J.

Thanks, WynetteC, for checking into that and sharing the info with the rest of us! :-)
I’ll be sure to log into my cvs.com account every week now!

I had already followed Jenny’s instructions and received my $4/$20 Q but I also would like to point out that when I logged into my CVS.com account that my email address was listed under my personal info, BUT when I clicked the link to take me to the Extra Care page, I clicked on my personal info under the ExtraCare Card tab……alas, my info was there EXCEPT my email address, so I put it in and saved it.
I found it very strange that my email address was under my cvs info but not under the ExtraCare Card info…….maybe I’ll start getting my weekly $/$$ Q’s again….we shall see.

        • Julie

Thanks for posting to check this! I haven't gotten anything but offers for online discounts for months. Just checked my info under my ExtraCare account and my email address was MISSING 2 letters! I fixed it, so we'll see what happens…

    • Lucy

I've had my Extra Care card since the EC program began. When they first started sending e-mails with coupons (which was years ago…) I received a few coupons every other week or so but then they stopped and I hadn't received any coupons in the e-mails since. Oh yeah – I'd still get the e-mails. Weekly. Just e-mails without a single coupon.

I also do not receive $/$$ coupons on the CRTs that print at the scanner or the end of the receipts. Apparently, CVS has a formula that they use to determine which customers need an incentive to shop in their stores and I don't fit that profile. It's frustrating to see CVS sending coupons out to some folks and not others especially since I've been a loyal customer (and pharmacy customer for 4+ prescriptions each month) for all these years.

It's getting to the point that I'm about to have my prescriptions filled elsewhere. If they truly appreciated my business, they'd reward me with a $/$$ every once in a while… CVS are you listening?

      • WynetteC

I think you hit the nail on the head! CVS's formula is very evident and those getting the coupons now will most likely be frustrated like us in the future.

    • I went in to check my email settings at CVS site because I haven't received any coupons ever and there's a question to the side asking if I want to receive emails/coupons and mine was checked “no”! So I checked yes and will see what happens now.

      • I just tried the link Jenny gave and entered my email address for kicks and it worked. Got my coupon. Odd stuff.

    • Awesome! Thanks!

    • KristiR

I have not gotten any coupons thru email in a while. I went to CVS yesterday and scanned my card when I got their and received a $4 off $20. Then when I checked out at the register I got another $4 off $20 on my receipt. I just re-registered my email address thru Jenny's link and got an email with another $4 off $20 immediately. Looks like I will be doing a lot of shopping at CVS the next couple of weeks. Thanks Jenny!

      • esturm1

What do you mean when you say you reregistered? Because when I go to the website, it says my email address is already in their system. Was this your first time connecting your email address to your CVS account, or what?

        • KristiR

I entered a different email address. I'm not sure if that is why it took it or not. But I got the email at the new address I had just entered.

        • KristiR

I did not try to enter the same email that I had been using so I am not sure if it would have taken it or not.  I entered my card number and then entered a different (new)  email address from what I had been using.

    • esturm1

Something funky is going on with their website. I hadn't gotten $/$$ email coupons for months, and I had previously checked in my account that I DID want to receive emails from them. Well, I went to my account today and it had, without my permission, switched to no (that I didn't want to receive emails from them). They lost a lot of my business over the past few months because a lot of times that $/$$ coupon is what convinces me to shop there that week. Their loss!

      • Melissa H

I'm with ya! When we first started using our card, we got $10/$50 a LOT … that's great, but who wants to constantly have to spend $50 to get it off (oop never equals that after q's, etc, obviously, but my oop even with my manny q's and the 10/50 was always higher/more than I wanted to spend) … Have received one or two $5/$40 over email, but not in a long time … Have NEVER gotten $4/$20 or $3/$15, either on email or in the store … I tried to reset through the link above and got the same message others are getting 'Your email address is already registered, you'll continue receiving special offers, blah blah' … So I guess that means I'll continue receiving nada … I was really excited about CVS'ing when I first started, and I still watch it closely for diaper deals, but other than that, I'm with you – I'll go weeks without CVS'ing b/c of not even having at the very least a 10/50 … To echo Lucy (further down in posts) – CVS, are you listening??

        • WynetteC

I doubt they're listening. It's all the same response whether it's email or by phone. My email response from yesterday included this:
“Free Coupon Offers may be emailed to members based on shopping habits and frequency of visits. Some are supported by our suppliers and are based upon their level of sponsorship at the time.”

And after seeing so many people post similar frustrations than me, that is my one condolence that I feel good about – it's not just me. I am thinking once I finish out these extra care bucks of closing this particular card and opening a new one. My daughter wanted a CVS card back around Christmas so badly to be like me. She gets emails once every 1-2 weeks $4/$20 store coupons. She never uses her card just has it for when she thinks she'll need it and still they keep sending away to her. Frustration at their pick and choose system.

    • Sarah

I just found a Dial Nutriskin coupon for $1 off….these seem to go on sale a bit at CVS…anyways, it's on the CVS website under the “Sales & Specials” tab. We love this body wash, so I printed two!

    • Calcbunny

Is the coupon a one time use?

      • happymom

All $/$ amount coupons are one time use at CVS. The register will reject a second one if it's identical to the first- even in a later transaction.

        • Becky

I was wondering about that, too. I got the 4/20 Q in email right before my CVS shopping. I used it. I purchased 12 can of tuna and realized that 2 of them were charged full price at $1.79 (opposed to $.49). I returned them the next day. Strangely, it was scanned at .70. The supervisor had to fix it. I told her I would purchase more stuff, so she gave me a gift card as refund. I bought $20 of cans that were on sale (without limit). I use the 4/20 coupon again, thinking that it probably wouldn't go through. The cashier seemed to have problem, but the manager was standing right next to her. He took over and it went through fine. I tended to think that the manager made it go through. I couldn't really tell since they didn't question me if I used the coupon once.

    • chooker

Why can I not find a coupon for U Kotex on the CVS web page? I am new to all this so please help me out.

      • Amy J.

It probably isn't available anymore…..they only have those coupons up there for so long….also, if lots of people print them out, I'm sure they have a print limit. I know I printed mine off a couple of weeks ago. HTH.

    • MaMa High

There is a rebate for Crest PRO-HEALTH I I found that at my Publix today. Buy one 4.2 oz. or larger Crest PRO-HEALTH Toothpaste and get a coupon by mail for one FREE 4.2 oz. Crest PRO-HEALTH Toothpaste (up to $3.99 value).

      • happymom

Was the rebate on the box?

    • KristiR

I just tried to go to the CVS website and it is “temporarily unavailable”. Maybe there is a problem that they are working on?? I hope everyone's account gets corrected so you can enjoy shopping at CVS. Good Luck!

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

“Updating with email….” sounds like one-time Q. offer in that email. Can we keep toggling our emails on that link as “updating email….” and keep getting Qs whenever we do so?

      • WynetteC

So did it actually work for you?

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

No it did not. Once this link is used with a card number, then that is it for this link. It would not let you update or insert any new email at all. Basically, this link is one-time use only

    • Another Kim

For some reason, the only emails I get from CVS are for saving at CVS.com. I even tried to update my account with my email address like Jenny suggested, and they said that my email address is already on file and that I will continue receiving their emails. Does anyone know how to get the emails that have coupons instead of ads for ordering their stuff online? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm still very intimidated by the whole CVS process! TIA! :D

      • esturm1

Even though I had checked “yes” previously in my account to receive emails, they changed it without my knowledge to “no.” So go to your CVS account and double-check! Hopefully we both start receiving those emails soon!

        • ziggy34434

I don't think it helps. The same happened to my account and I checked yes two days ago. I just looked again and it was changed back to no.

          • esturm1

You've got to be kidding! I changed mine yesterday and it is still checked “yes.” I'll have to check again in a couple of days. I'll be really mad if they change it to no. They shouldn't even have access to my account like that to change my settings.

            • ziggy34434

I just checked again this morning and it was back to no. It's been 8 hours.

            • kelleyharold

I've had a CVS ExtraCare card since they first began the program. I shop at CVS almost every week, sometimes multiple times per week. I used to get coupons via e-mail a long time ago. I haven't received any CVS e-mails other than promoting their online store in a VERY long time. All this buzz about getting multiple $ off coupons made me check my settings. Everything is set correctly in my account. I tried “updating” my account. I eventually sent an e-mail to customer service to politely mention it. I was told something along the lines of “those are sent based upon your purchasing habits” but I am not sure what else I could purchase that would help me get coupons. I buy baby stuff, candy, h&b aids, household supplies, grocery items, etc.! I double-checked today to make sure my selection to receive e-mails hadn't been changed to “no” and it hadn't. My keytag card is falling apart so I needed a new one anyway, so I applied for a new card. Maybe that will help with the coupon situation?

            • Brenda Z

I think basically what the purchasing habits means is- our habits are that we go there ALL the time, whether or not we get these coupons. So what reason do they have to send us any? They'll choose to send them to NEW users to get them hooked on cvs and to people that don't usually shop there to try to reel them in. Wish I knew how to play hard to get w/ a drug store :-P

    • Snowski824

It told me that my card was already on file but it sent the email the next day anyway with a 4/20

    • Meme

I scanned my card and Dad's card at CVS today and got a $5 off $40 and about five or six other coupons. One is for $3 off $15 any facial product. Dad got two coupons. I haven't used Dad's much, just usually scan my own so I started using his just in case he gets more that way.

For the first time I walked into CVS and picked up all the items on my list. They were fully stocked. I followed Jenny's advice and didn't try too much so now I can sit down with a follow up list for tomorrow and use the ECB's and extra $$ off coupons and get my makeup order ready. That takes alot of thought for me. I'm not used to buying for myself, but I am trying to be kinder to myself with these savings (I work hard!).

    • tori729

It said mine was already on file (with BOTH email addresses I have) but I'm hoping I'll get a coupon soon anyway!!

    • Anonymous

I shop at CVS all the time, too, and I only ever get CVS.com emails, though I have tried everything to get the $/$$ ones. Here’s the email response I got back from them about it:

Thank you for contacting CVS/Pharmacy ExtraCare in regards to not receiving special offers and coupon to your email address.

I am sorry that you are not receiving emails. In researching your account, I have found that you have been enrolled into receiving special offers and coupons to your email address.

Free Coupon Offers may be emailed to members based on shopping habits and frequency of visits. Some are supported by our suppliers and are based upon their level of sponsorship at the time. We have also expanded the method of distribution for these free offers, not only through the register but through E-Mail, Mail, Local Advertising and even more through coupon centers located in our stores. Therefore the number of Free Coupon offers will vary as CVS continually modifies these targeted offers to provide products and services our customers want most.

Did you know that our website has many great benefits like printing your quarterly coupons, viewing your balances, managing your prescriptions and updating your personal information? Please visit our website at CVS.com if you would like to participate in some of these great benefits.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us either by e-mail or by calling (800) 746-7287. Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I hope you have a nice day.

      • WynetteC

Looks like they sent you the exact same email response they sent me. I wonder if it was signed Denise on yours too?

    • happymom

After reading this I went to CVS.com and “detached” my card from my account. I got an email this morning with a 4/$20 coupon! Thanks so much! I haven’t gotten a coupon from them in months!

waaa waaa waaa quit whining people CVS has been very good to you! You are saving a ton of money anyway quit being greedy! I guess this is human nature very sad indeed.

The first time I had trouble I went to my account and they had an incorrect address from how knows where. They updated eveyrthing, sent me some extra CVS coupons but I am still not receiving emails or coupons. I am in there every week so I dont understand the frequency part. I think it is time to contact them again. You are right. It is a great place for me to shop, I would just like all the benefits as well.

    • TONJA
