I’ve added a scenario to get the 3 day sale items.  It is more to help you learn how to roll ECB’s and to focus on making transactions equal what you have in CVS bucks.

If you go shopping at CVS after 6pm Saturday night, you can get the Revlon B1G1 AND $7 ECBs if you spend $15! I love when it works out that way!!

      • Annamarie

Do you have to spend $15 after the BOGO/coupons or before for the ECB’s to print? I’m assuming it comes off after the other discounts are factored in as well.

        • Amy

It has to be AFTER BOGOs … I did this last Saturday night. Makes for sweet bonuses!

      • Angel in NC

This happened a few months ago as well, and I “bought” 4 Revlons instead of 2, since its literally B1G1 free. First revlon was $10, the second $0, third $5, fourth was $0.

      • Brenda

where does the $7ecb on $15 come from? I see $5 when you buy the lipstick but don’t see the one you are refering to.

    • Teresa-QOCD

Is the print feature coming up for anyone?

    • April

There is a $3 Acne Free coupon in the January issue of All You

    • Michelle Z

Anyone know how much the Listerine Total Care is?

      • Heather

        It is 4.99 – 5.99 on CVS.com. HTH

    • Catherine

If anyone lives in the Kennesaw/Acworth area and likes CVS, the CVS on Jiles and Old Main St in Kennesaw ROCKS. Kristin (tall, slender blonde) is fantastic! She knows all the sales and is very accomodating to couponers. She knows me on sight now :) and says, “whenever you’re ready!” as I go past to get my savings. She also gets excited about how much I save.

Thanks, Jenny, for helping *two* people get excited about saving in Kennesaw! (I am sure there are many more :) )

      • Jen

My CVS is like that too! I actually went in there to buy stuff and she separated the transactions so I could use the CVS bucks from the first transaction to pay for the second. And when the receipt spited out she was counting out all the coupons I got and said “OH MAN!!” it was hillarious. They are super.

      • Julie

I was just at that exact CVS this morning. Long story short I lost the $20 ECB (the only one I have ever lost of course) on the Kodak camera from Black Friday. Called the ECB 800 number and basically got “sorry we can’t help you”. Talked to the store manager today, told him I loved Kristin before I said anything else, explained the situation and he was like “they told you what??” – he made it right. I love that CVS – she is so nice and never makes you feel bad for having coupons.

    • Bobbie

The revelon tools doesn’t show up on my coupons. Is there a certain zip code to use?
      Thanks for info.

    • Heather

I didn’t get the AXE Q. Does anyone have this that they might want to trade for something I have. I have some fabulous $3.00 off 2 John Freida……(Hope I am not breaking the rules by doing this….)

      • LindaB

If you go to the top right of this page and click on Coupon Traders it will explain how to exchange coupons. People there are an active bunch and so far I have had great success there.

    • jonna franklin

does the month long deals allow you to purchase one every week such as the complete contact solution 9.99 with 9.99 in ecb

      • Annamarie

if it states limit 1 that is for the month.

        • Annamarie

I forgot to add that the same deal is valid all month long at Walgreens and you can get it multiple times there.

          • Jen

Yeah I love Walgreens for that.

    • Susan

If anyone has found the Complete Contact Solution coupon, please let me know where. Thanks

      • Beth

I know that coupon used to be there, but now it’s just one for drops. Guess they reached the limit. :(

        • Susan

    • Nick

When are these supose to start? Midnight?

      • Annamarie

My CVS will allow you to use both weeks papers all day on Saturday.

    • Adriane

Do you need to have the Winter Booklet to get the John Freida deal, or does it ring up to automatically give you the ECB’s?

      • marina

Most cashiers are not even aware of that deal. And when this deal came out at first, the ECB’s were not printing correctly. so if I were you, I would have it handy to point it out to the cashier if the ECB’s don’t print. Good luck

        • Kim

I did the John Freida deal and it didn’t print for me. I called CVS and they said that it would get fixed and it should print out the next time I went in, but it hasn’t! :( So, I suggest you get it fixed in the store and not call the hotline.

          • Julie

I went today for the John Freida deal and it did not print out for me. I couldn’t remember what the book looked like, but the cashier only had the sales flyer and another smaller book. Going to print out the pic of the winter booklet and go back tomorrow to see if they will give it to me.

    • Heather

I asked this question last week but it was like #220 or something so I didnt get a response, so Ill ask again. I bought the Bayer meter last week and used by coupon and got it for free. There was a mail in rebate in the box. Can I send that in and get another 14.99 back? I know you can do this with some items but I wasnt sure about this one!

      • Heather

Nevermind. I just checked again and someone did respond! She said it has never worked for her before…Oh well, free is still free and my dad could really use this!!! :)

        • Amber

Heather – My understanding is that Bayer will not pay out the rebate. However, I have successfully gotten rebates for Accucheck meters, even though I didn’t really pay any money for them after coupons/ECB’s. Just got another 14.99 check in the mail today!

    • Heather

One more question…I finally found a CVS where I live that has a machine where you scan your card and it prints out coupons (not sure of the official name) but its about 10 miles from my house as opposed to another one that doesnt have the coupons that is only about 1 mile. I was wondering how often it prints out new coupons. Does it do it every time you scan your card or every week or something like that? If it only does it every once in a while I dont want to waste my time driving to the other end of town. I did get a $3.00 off of $15 last time so I would go there more often if I knew I could get good coupons! Thanks for any help!!

      • Susan

It will print coupons once per day. :)

      • Vanessa

I’m not sure how often it resets the good coupons, but the last two weeks my coupons from that kiosk have been lousy. (The same $1/2 CVS paper products. Spit out two of the same thing.) The first couple of weeks I used it I got great coupons ($5/$30 order), not lately though.

      • Amy

I think (not completely sure) that it keeps giving you the same one either until you use it, or about 2 weeks. It seems like once I use one it will give me something different.

      • Carla

How can you find stores that have the machine that spits out coupons? The two CVS stores by me don’t have one, but if there is one in the area I would be willing to travel the extra distance.

    • SandyinTN

If I purchase (1) Acne Free System and use:
      $5/$15-store Q
      $1/1 -man Q
and an ECB, will this work? In other words, do I need to plan to get filler items or can I use all three Qs with only (1) item purchased? Thanks so much! BTW, I went in CVS today, scanned my Extra Care card and a $5/$15 printed out!! It was cool because my son used the acne free system AND I have a coupon AND a man Q.

      Thanks, ladies

      • Sue

No, you do not need fillers.

        • SandyinTN

    • Patty

Just curious… Why do the CVS receipts track Year to Date Savings, FALL 2009 SPENDING, and how do we “Earn 2% back on almost everything in the store…when you use your Extracare card.” Is there an end-of-the-year return of some sort? Thanks!

      • Carrie

This is what they have posted on the website:

2% of your Fall 2009 Spend will be issued on January 1st. Rewards are redeemable in-store and online.

This is posted in My Account > Current Balances page of cvs.com. So either they will email/mail/or store print out of the 2% back. I think I have earned a dollar since I am just over the $100 spend mark. And somewhere, maybe it’s on my receipt, shows how much I’ve saved this fall at CVS, and it’s incredible, either $972 or more. I think more since I haven’t tallied it up myself and I don’t know if they factor in the cost of their own store coupons or not. CVS and Southern Savers (Jenny) made Christmas for me possible this year. Everyone on my list is getting a gift bag of meds/razors/shampoos etc. It’s all I can so but not ashamed at all. I think the value of these items is incredible and the greatest part, they won’t be thrown in a garage or stuffed somewhere, they’ll be used! :D

        • Bobbie

That’s how I feel. Give someone something they can use and doesn’t cost us a fortune.

        • Bridget

I wish you were my Santa – I can’t stand useless stuff!

        • Sloan

I am doing the same. Instead of “nothing” I have full stockings to give to my mom, brother, SIL, husband, son, and best friend! My husband thinks it’s weird to give people a bunch of random products, but at least it is stuff they will use. I think they will appreciate not having to buy shampoo, or razors, or lotion or whatever next time because they got some in their stocking!

      • Sloan

The 2% back comes in the form of ECBs and I think they come out every calendar quarter. Last time I think I got $1, my MIL got $4. They first time I bought something in the new quarter, my $1 ECB came on the end of the receipt. It was a bonus that I wasnt expecting! =)

    • Cori

Hmm, not finding the Axe? anybody else?

    • Aymee

The scenarios do not add up right.

      2 x 1.99 is not 2.98 it is 3.98

      • I noticed that too. It works out okay for the 2nd scenario. But in the 3rd scenario, you will end up wasting $1 if you use the ECB to buy the bow. You will have $3.98 ECB for a $2.99 bow :(

        • paige

I noticed that as well. I threw In a $1 pk of pp plates that we needed.

        • Sharon

You could get the Advil pm and the bows, owe .01 OOP and get 3.98 back.

    • brooke

I am new to the whole CVS thing. I am really excited about getting the revlon eyecolor b1g1. I was wondering ONE.) the coupon on here for $1 is a target coupon will they still take it at CVS? TWO.) all I have to do is buy the eyecolor once out of pocket with my extra care card will I actually be getting one free with it on that transaction or do I have to see if the ECB comes out for it then go back and get it then? Will there be a limit on how many times I can go back in and get it? Any help with this is greatly appreciated!! TIA! ;)

      • becky

You can get 1 for 1/2 price. If you want to get 2, I would get another coupon if i were you to make it sweeter! You should first buy one of the “free” things at the top of this list and it will give you back ECB’s. Then you can do a seperate transaction. Read the cvsing guide on the getting started tab. HTH

      • Vanessa

I think this is a YMMV kind of thing. My CVS does true B1G1. Nothing is 1/2 price. Also, the coupon is not a target coupon…it just has a target icon on it…it is a manufacturer coupon. That is just there way to try to get you to use it at Target.

    • Sam

Dove Chocolate Large Bars 3.53 oz. on sale for $1, use $1 coupon in flu book! (Limit 1 coupon per customer) I guess I’ll make multiple trips. :)

      • Honey

I think it’s $1 off-not $1. They are $2.79 and there is a clip-free coupon for $1 off plus the one in the little red coupon booklet so they end up being .79 plus tax-still a good deal!

    • Carrie

Only one ECB on the batteries this time. I guess they factor in everyone’s need for batteries since it’s Christmas and the toy factor. Batteries are always a nice stock supply but this is not like the $10 ECB wyb $20 they had back in August or September. Glad I stocked up then! Now watch all the remotes and such go dead now that I’ve said that.

      • Amy

You can buy batteries at Staples for FREE .. they are $12.99 for 20 AA or AAA and you get Staples rewards for $12.99 .. awesome to use on printer cartridges, etc .. or roll with the copy paper rebates!

    • Jamie

I am trying to print one of the $2 off Complete Multi-Purpose Contact Solution coupons that Jenny has the link to. The link takes me to a page, but I can not find where to print the Q at…. Anyone else have any suggestions?
My eyes thank you in advance :) :)

    • Diana

I have a question Jenny. I started SS on 11/1 and feel like a pro already. And I’m blessed to have a cashier who is wonderful to my family and cheers me on. So now I thought I could try some of the drugstores now. yesterday at CVS I purchased the Bayer meter. And the cashier said I owed a dollar and change. But on your site it said I would owe nothing. Was I suppose to pay her a dollar and change? What do I do next time?

      • Vanessa

You still have to pay the tax.

      • kelli

If you’re state charges tax on stuff like that, you’d have to pay tax. I know that my state (virginia) doesn’t charge tax on the meters. If you only bought the meter and your subtotal was anything other than $0, your cashier did something wrong.

    • Christy

I never end up owing, “nothing” or 1 cent. I always owe anywhere from 30 cents – $1.50 in tax!

    • Aymie

Does anyone know what page the $2.50 Axe coupon is on?? I am having a lot of trouble searching for it and no one I know has it…

    • Colleen

Is Merry Brite considered a CVS brand? I have a $2 off of $10 CVS q from the machine that I could use if it counts. Just wondering!

    • Deena

Yes, Merry Brite is CVS brand.

    • ashley

in order to get your ECB do you need to spend the amount needed (ie. $5 ECB when you spend $15) after coupons or can i use coupons and make it less that $15 out of pocket or 15 after coupons? thanks!!

      • Sue

It is “spend $15” before coupons.

    • Tara

What is the UPC number on the bows? I bought a 12 pack of bows and the ECB did not print. There was only one other 12 pack that I saw but they were 3.99 each. The cashier was super nice and pushed it through but I want to make sure I got the right thing.

      • Amy T

There must be a problem. The ones I got didn’t work either and the cashier had to manually give me ECBs for them. She and another employee were trying to figure out which ones had the ECBs. I got 2 different kinds too.

the ones that are free are only $2.99. I bought 2 of the same, the upc is 50428 09609.

    • Tarrah R.

GUess I’m the first to notice that the math is off on the scenerios- If you buy 2 Merry Brite items at $1.99- total will come to #3.98 pre tax, not $2.98. The scenerio will work for the first two transactions, but the third and fourth, you will lose a dollar on if you use your prior ECB’s, because they will be $3.98 and your total will be $2.99, so you may want a back up plan. Good luck! And Thanks Jenny, loveing the free Merry Brite stuff, it’s the only way I’m buying decorations or hats, or anything this year.

    • kelley

It may vary by state, but my CVS does not let me use ECBS to cover the tax. So my total is always the tax – never free or 1 cent. Am i doing something wrong?

      Good Morning, Everyone

Does anyone know where I can find a Bic coupon for the ladies razors?

      • Joy

There’s a BIC Soleil razor Q in 11/15 SS. I’m not quite sure it’s for the same razor. I’d like to know before I waste a trip.

      • kelli

the bic coupon is for $2 off any bic soleil refillable razor handle or cartridge refill. that isn’t what’s on sale this week.

    • Susie

I went to the CVS on Hwy 78 in Ladson this morning. Just wanted to let everyone know that they still had some of the “Season to Save” booklets with the $4ECB coupon with $20 purchase in them! They were stacked up on the counter by the photo area! :)

    • On the WrinkleFree Eyes – There is a store coupon in flu shot booklet for $5.00 plus a printable for $5.00. With the ECB’s it will be free!

      • Heather

I checked CVS.com and the price for the system is 29.99 to 39.99. Is there another system in the store that is 15.00? If so, I am so buying it!

        • kelli

I looked for this too but only found the $30-$40 ones. I didn’t see anything in the sale that was $15 or less. I don’t understand why the sale isn’t “spent $30 get $5”

    • W. Joy

I’ve been searching several months and can’t find any Glucose Monitoring Kit coupons. Does anyone know of a south Georgia paper that has these coupons?

Or, does anyone know where I can find a free coupon or I’ll gladly trade any of my coupons for any you need.

      • Sharon

It was in the AJC and Augusta Chronicle.

      • Wendy

It was in the Savannah Morning News.

    • kelli

did anyone else only get 1 insert in their paper this morning? I just got 1 ss, no rp. I looked through 5-6 papers before I just gave up.

      • Nelanie

I just got one SS in my paper, too. I live in the middle Georgia area. I was so disappointed! :(

    • Erin

Thanks for all the great ideas!!!

    • Sloan

The 4ct advil has to be the one pictured in the ad. I tried to get it at one CVS today, went back to the travel section and they have 4ct in a blue box for $.99, no sale tag. I tried it, but no ECB printed. The cashier said they didn’t get that one. At another store, they had the correct ones hanging on the bins right at the cash register…

    • noelle

Does anyone know if CVS will still take a Rite Aid $25 giftcard coupon for transferring a prescription?

      • Michelle H.

There’s a sign on the window of my CVS that says they accept all competitor prescription coupons. I would just call the pharmacy and ask.

      • meg

I’ve done this a few times – no problems at all

    • April

Hi – I am new to CVS shopping – if I have a coupon for each item I am purchasing, do I also have to have a filler item in order to use an ECB?

(like at Walgreens – where you can only have as many coupons/RRs as you have items)

      • marina

You don’t need any filler items. ECB’s are like cash. Good luck :)

    • Beth

Went to CVS on my lunch today. Did the John Freida deal. I had coupons for $3/2. My ECBs did not print. Product prices started at $6.99. The cashier looked at me like I had 2 heads when I mentioned that I shuld have gotten ECBs. UGH!!!

      • kelli

call the number on the back of your card. have your receipt with you. they should issue the ecbs for you.

    • kathi

We have something new at my CVS–the manager pointed it out to me this afternoon. It is a scanner/coupon printer. You can use it to price scan stuff which is kind of cool BUT you can also scan your cvs card every time you come in and get 2 coupons (he “thinks” 2 q’s will print everytime because that is what has happened so far) And which of us can’t use anymore q’s?

      • Rebecca

I’ve been lucky enough to have four coupons print out each time. The very first time I used it, I received some $/$$ coupons but lately I’ve just gotten the $ off a store brand qs.

      • Rebekah

is this at the register for the cashiers to do when you are checking out?

    • Rebekah

YALL!!!!:) I did my first ECBing last night:) aren’t yall proud? I felt so overwhelmed with excitement;)!!

      Here’s what I purchased:
I first bought the Merry tags 50ct each (100 total:) (L2 reached) for my friend who needed some that almost spent $2.99 for the same amount. I received my $3.98 ECB ticket + I wanted to try those Soliel razors (But I didn’t feel right using that Q b/c it wasn’t technically for that item) and got my $4 ECB….THEN:) it also printed $3 or $5 off of a purchase of $15 or more. Sweet right? I had to go to a different CVS b/c that one I first made all my purchases at no longer had my Soft&Dri deo in the stick form & I desparately need some. The other CVS I was able to use the $ /$15 or more.

I also decided while it was in stock to use that Nivea lip care B1G1F in conjunction with the B3G1 Nivea lotion free. The cashier only put in $2.99 on the lotion Q but I’m not one to be too particular..(I was going to do a huge power buy at RA but they still didn’t have any of the lip care products restocked…shame..lol) I actually purchased 4 so it could actually be legit (bought 3 for the lotion Q got 1F w lip care Q). So I also got $2ECB when I bought the Axe Gift Set..:)

      In short:
      Transaction 1:
      $4.99 (1) Bic Soleil Dispoable
      $1.99 (2) Merry Brite roll tags (50ct ea/100total)
      = $9.60 OOP + $3.98ECB, $4ECB

      Transaction 2:
      $9.99 (1) Axe Gift Set
      $2.99 (4) Nivea lip care
      $7.99 (1) Nivea smooth lotion
      – $5/$15+,$3.98 ECB, $4 ECB, $2.99Q, $2.99Q
=11.75 (including tax) + $2ECB (it should have been $6.40…but hey I still got a good deal)

    • I had the worst day at CVS today, yesterday I tried to do the John Frieda deal from the Xmas catolog but as per this board it did not print the ecb they were very busy so rather than hold everbody up and I need to get home for grandkid I waited till I got home and called back to the store they were very nice and told me to bring my recipt back in today. So after driving the whole way back (we live in the country) the cashier said she was aware of it and she need to see my recipt after looking at my recipt she said she could not give me the ECB because I used the hang tags and ecbs to pay for all of it but $1.30 Will some tell me what did I and wrong and are not allowed to use coupons and ecb to get ecbs

      • kelli

call the number on the back of your card. have your card and receipt with you when you call. as soon as the can verify your purchase (this usually has to be about 48 hours after the purchase) they should be able to issue you the ecbs that you didn’t get. there must be an issue with this deal because someone else above mentioned that they didn’t get their ecbs either.

You can most definitely use coupons and ecbs and still get back ecbs. I never make a purchase at CVS without ecbs and/or coupons.

        • Okay sorry about that I’m still alittle new at this That was suppose to be a reply

    • tanya

Does anyone know if there’s a time of day that the 3-day sale ends? I went to CVS at 6 pm tonight for the MerriBrite offers and the signs were down for ECB’s and the cashier said he checked one earlier and it didn’t ring with ECB’s. Shouldn’t through Tuesday mean ALL of Tuesday?

      • kelli

I would guess that it should mean all day tuesday. if you bought something that the ecbs didn’t print, I would call the number on your card and speak with them. They’ve always been very helpful when I call.

    • Amy

OK, SO I am SUPER excited. I think I did great on my CVS run tonight. I usually do fairly well, but I’m not as savvy as some of you “pros.” I was really proud of myself tonight. Of course I couldn’t have done it without Jenny and Southern Savers!
What I started with: $10 ECBs, $5 off $20 and a couple other coupons.
What I got: 2pkgs Merry Brite tissue paper, 2 bags MB bows, 2 pkgs MB peel & stick labels, 1- Advil PM 4pk, 1- Complete contact lens solution, 1- Revlon Color Stay foundation, 1- Revlon CS lipcolor, 1 pkg Bic comfort 3 advance razors, 3 bottles Suave body wash (reg 12 oz, but pkgs were “bonus 50% extra-free” and were 18 oz)
      What I paid OOP (4 transactions) $7.27
      What I GOT BACK: $7.96 ECBs AND a $5 off $15 coupon!

    • Thanks Kelli I will give that a try. That was so upsetting and cleck was a little rude.

      • I might get it right . Well tthanks kelli

    • Jessica

I was in CVS yesterday (12/15) and they have a new price check kiosk where you can scan your CVS Extra Care card and you automatically get some coupons printed out. I think the feature only lets you print every other day. (Summerville, SC)

    • pharmSCgirl

There is a $5 off of 2 John Frieda Root Awakening products on the Smart Source Coupon Site (used 29210 zip code). These coupons go great with the John Frieda deal.

      • rachel

        AWESOME FIND! thanks!

    • Jenna

In Simpsonville, sc on fairview rd and on georgia rd. my CVS takes walgreens coupons. So i got prevacid the other day for 1.23. I used manufacture coupons, walgreens coupons, cvs coupons and care bucks. Thank you Jenny

      • Ashley

Hi Jenna, I live in this area and visit between those two CVS locations. Have you had them do this more than once? Just wondering if you got lucky or if that is their policy. Thanks for the heads up, I will be doing this now!

    • Stacey

This may have already been posted but for anyone in the McDonough, GA area…does CVS do a true B1G1 or is each item half off?

    • Rebekah

Anyone in the Cayce/West Columbia/Colubia area know where I can find the Soft&Dri deo for the B1G1 sale? This is like the only deo that works with the chemistry of my body. I do not need the aerosol can but the stick form. Thanks for any information!

    • Tracy T

Is anyone still have a deal, Extra care bucks, RR, or Single check rebate on itunes cards?
