Yeah, I noticed a couple of coupons Buy one Snickers Get One Peanut Butter free that came with the sale ads (usually no coupons with those). Also had $1.50 off Colgate. My husband had thrown them out and I rescued them, LOL

I don't “buy” candy anymore unless it's close to free or I can get for no more than .25 per bar.

      • Swappinspoons

There is $1/1 Colgate coupon in the 2/06 SS insert that does not expire until 2/26.

    • Jeffodom

Horrible experience at brand new CVS in Tallahassee!!! A shift manager who I guess was getting off work since both hands were full of beer products, was behind us in line and said that we could not do more than one transaction at a time during a busy time. There were probably 3 people in the whole store!! What is even more frustrating is that we have always been able to do more than one transaction and no one has ever said anything. Even the cashier said she had never heard of that. I asked her if she was saying that the time of day determined when we could use coupons! She then began stammering over her words and just moved to the other register. How rediculous!! Are these people just looking for ways to get rid of customers??

      • 2Cor12_9

I'm sure you are stepping to the back of the line between transactions…That seems crazy…must have been a long day for her.

    • just wondering

how do you get sobe coupon tried to print but nothing

      • Kcreviews

I couldn't see it on the site either–just the nude model with paint on her…sheesh.

    • mj

I have a “Buy 1 Snickers bar, get free Snicker Peanut Butter Singles bar” coupon that printed on the bottom of my receipt. Can I stack it with a manufacturer's “Buy 1, get 1 free Snickers bar” coupon and make them both free?

      • wendyc33

yes u can. i got the same coupon.

      • Lisa

I thought so but my store said no. I will try at a different store.

      • Lori

Yes you can! I am going to do that and get 4 and only pay for 1 and get 1 ECB!

    • Links6kids

I just got a $4 off of $20 in my inbox..It ends Sunday, but thats alright. I will be there to use it.

    • Anonymous

At our CVS, the Phillips Sonicare replacement heads are on clearance(not all,but ones that fit my model) they are regularly $35. On clearance they are $18 and some change, coupons.com(I think) has a $5/multipack of replacement heads, making them $13. This is a GREAT deal!!!

      • Amccullough11

You can get a pack of 5 at Sams for $35.

    • Kay

My CVS told me I could shop the next weeks sales and the current weeks sale after 6:00 pm on Saturdays. In your SS 1/30 there is a coupon for .50 off Palmolive you can use *after 6:00 pm* that expires Saturday (2/19) and get the dish soap for only .47 cents!! Great deal! I did have a $1.00 off also, but spent it already. Oh well…

      • Julie

Be careful, at CVS you can't do any of the Sunday-Monday-Tuesday only sales on Saturday night and get the ECBs. So for example, the cadbury egg one this week won't work until Sunday

        • Syndilew

It worked for me, the cashier just manually printed it out for me. In fact, she gave me a dollar as opposed to the .75 and then my egg only rang up .50. Yeah, me!!!

    • Igot5ltlboyz

Woo-hoo!! Just got some kleenex tissue coupons in the mail (ordered from ebay). They are $1.00 off 1. Free kleenex, and allergy season is right around the corner.

      • Sean

Those would be a nice moneymaker at Walgreens Sunday only. There is an in ad q for Kleenex making them 89 cents a box. There is an overlapping Register Reward monthly deal that ends Sunday. You'll get $1 RR wyb 5, $1.50 RR wyb 6, and $2 RR when you buy 7 or more. Thought you might be interested.

      • karen

you missed the deal in publix! they are 1.99 but you were able to stack them with the $2.00 off 2 store coupon. I got like 15 boxes for free!! :) PLUS if you purchased I THINK 35 dol in KC products they sent you a gift card of $10

        Good luck

    • Tara Pennington

I got a $5 off $30. I may stack one big transaction this week to use the coupon, and there is not much I'm dying for on this ad. Who knows, I gotta do some “calculations”…

      • Joy

I got that coupon too. I got the Dorritos/Free Pepsi Max coupon (printed 2) so I will add those to my order to bring up the total.

        • Kan2002

winn dixie has doritos bogo and i paired that with 2 coupons so get 2 doritos and 2 pepsi for price of 1 dorito

    • Thanks Jenny! I'll be there for my free egg & toothpaste! ;-)

    • msivory20

Is anyone else having issues printing the $2q for John Frieda root Awakening? The little icon is just spinning and spinning….

      • Thedanusc

same here…it is just spinning away!

    • HB

General ? about CVS/overage. My CVS doesn't give overage so 2 weeks ago when I had a 2.50 coupon for excedrin and it was 1.99, Jenny listed it as free + 50c overage. When I got to CVS they would only take off up to the value of the product, i.e. 1.99 (even though I was buying other stuff too, that came to about $10). I still got it for free (just paid tax) so I'm not complaining but I was just wondering if other people's CVS's applies overage to other items, is this store by store or what? What does your CVS do, apply overage to other stuff or not?

      • Lori B.

My CVS allows overage. I think it may be up to the individual store manager. I go to 3 different stores in my area & all allow overage.

        • Lori

I think they should allow overage, b/c CVS is still going to get the full amount for the coupon. You know…..it is like cheating us out of savings b/c the manufacture is still going to pay them for the full amount of the coupon. Just my opinion.

          • guest

yea they are still going to get paid, but if a product is 1.99 like excedrin and the coupon is for 2.50 off excedrin then you should only get 1.99 off the product. the coupon is listed for excedrin and not anything else. you dont just give random coupons when you purchase items. you give coupons listed for the items you have bought so therefore overage should not apply

      • Jbush27

        Mine allows overage.

      • Wdra0632

My CVS allows overcharges, last week my total was -2.74 so I got 2 NYC cosmetic items and gum for free. Didn't even need a coupon, love my CVS.

        • Guest

The computer does not allow overage you may think you got it but it will only allow you to get the max what you paid as if they enter 2.00 computer will beep and will require a manager. its not really overage if you was using ecb also.

      • amy

My CVS doesn't give overage either. Example, last week I bought the Gain dish soap at Rite-Aid (less than a dollar) and received full value for the $1 coupon. Bought another at CVS (also less than a dollar) and received only the amount of the dish soap. Like you, not complaining, but it does help decide where the better deals may be found!

    • Gpjagarrison

My CVS said they have changed their policy and you cannot use ECBs to pay for tax, so I always have a $1 or $2 charge. Does anyone else have this happening?

      • Happy Feet

My CVS has always made us pay our tax…

      • Sarah

As far as I know that has always been the case. I was told to treat ECB like a coupon, rather than a giftcard. HTH

      • Jbush27

I have always had to pay tax and I think that's fair. I know people say they give their ecb's first so that the tax would be covered but I have never done that.

        • Sarah

The way I've heard it is that giving your ECB first lowers the amount that is taxable.

          • Julie

That's right, because a Manufacturer's coupon can pay down the tax, but the ECBs cannot. However, you have to have the transaction calculated perfectly with tax, because if the MF coupon goes over the amount of tax it will beep and not go through. For me, I just pay the tax because I hate doing all that math, especially if I have to recalculate at the last minute

      • Tara Pennington

I have always had to pay tax as well, don't see a problem with it either.

      • Srhine85

        it depends on the cashier.

      • Guest

yep they are right. as ecb was never ment to be used to pay tax. That why i only buy the free items.

    • Trecy Henderson

This looks like a way to really save money!

    • Meljunkmail

      Does CVS allow stacking coupons?

      • You can stack a CVS coupon with a manufacturer coupon. You can also use a $5/$20 CVS coupon with additional coupons during your transaction.

In addition you can use a BOGO coupon when the items are BOGO to get both for free.

        • Tara Pennington

What about B1G1 deals? I know that Winn Dixie allows you to use 2 coupons, but does CVS? I rarely ever do B1G1 deals at CVS, and never thought to ask.

          • Katelin

When the sale is a B1G1, you can use 1 coupon on each item.

          • You can also you a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 Sale and get both items for free!

    • Verabelle

I cant get the Tilex q…..

    • Christy12

$8 ECB WYB (2) Revlon Foundation, Powder, Blush or Concealer, starting at $9.99 LIMIT 1
-$2 off Revlon face product, SS 1/16 (EXP 02/20)
-$3 off Revlon cosmetic, printing at CVS coupon center
(use store and $2 off, makes it 99¢)

Is it use *2 store and *2 $2 off and it is 99¢ each? I can't get it to work any other way in my mind…
How would you get 2 of those store coupons?

      • Yeah, I think that was a typo. I was thinking the same thing. You can't get 2 on the same day unless she knows something we don't know.

      • Mayocoupons

you can print the $3 off $10 every day of the week and if you printed one on Monday Feb. 14th, then saved it and went back in on Tues. Feb. 15th and scanned for another one you could do it in two trans. on the same day, but since CVS can track your purcahses you can do 2 transactions any two days during the week and once you bought the 2 items for $9.99/each it would trigger the $8 ECB which would “technically” make them 99-cents a piece. Here's how i read the math for this deal– $9.99 -$3 store coupon-$2 manu. coupon = 4.99 (+tax). Second transaction done the same way. so each item was $4.99 out of pocket, BUT when you get your $8 ECB printed after the 2nd transaction it's like you got back $8 so the items end up costing $1.98 or 99-cents a piece. Does that make any more sense?

    • Exsquid22

Can anyone tell me how I might find the “Get more from your pharmacy” booklet? Thanks in advance. Love this site! :)

      • Exsquid22

        no one? :(

        • Paige

Is this at Wags? I see alot of people commenting on it there.

      • You can find the booklet at your Kroger’s pharmacy.

    • Guest

I tried following the directions given here two weeks ago. I went in and purchased a pack of gum for $.99. Then, I went back and used my receipt to get the second pack of gum free. However, when the cashier got my receipt to give it to me, he tore the bottom off so that I couldn't use the ECBs on the “free” product receipt to come back again. Has this ever happened to anyone?

      • Sarah

I'm a little confused, but if I understand correctly…you bought one pack of gum and got $0.99 in ECB (essentially making it free), then you bought another pack of gum, giving the cashier your ECB to pay for it. You would not get that back since you used it as payment, and since the limit was 1, you wouldn't get another ECB. HTH

        • Srhine85

You can use an ECB for a specific item to buy another of that item (unlike at Walgreens), but if the limit was only 1, then that is where the problem was.

          • Doconnell864

            face it they limit everything

            • Mayocoupons

you can always get a second card. you are allowed to have 1 card for each memeber of your household.

            • Guest

Your only allowed one card at region that stores hvae a sign up one card per family as it suppose to be that why we have limits :)

            • Msmummy

I am sorry but I have trouble understanding your comment.

            • Nita Royal

1 card per household – my six cats don't have cards ;-) but some people do that.

            • guest

the limit things to prevent people from coming in and snatching up everything on the shelf before another person has a chance to even get one. you have no idea how annoyed customers get when the product they want isnt there because someone comes in early the day of the sale and buys everything on the shelf with their 1,000 CVS cards that they justify having by signing up for them for their pets.

            • Syndilew

I hate Wags. The cashiers don't understand qponing at least down here in GA they sure don't. They don't get that you can have a qpon for more than an item and it still be a legal q. I gave up on them 2 months ago, plus I feel like they rip me off by needing to have the same number of items as qs when they consider their RRs qs. This seems to me that this is a way for Wags to rip qponers off. If I have to buy something else, it isn't free! On top of that, I spent so much time qponing for them and then would go to the store and they wouldn't have the item so then my transaction would be thrown off. I don't want to do 50 transactions, I want to do one and feel like I have accomplished something. Wags is just too much work! I just go in there to get their qpon book to use at Publix.

            • Guest

I can tell you I used to shop wags, rite aid and cvs but in end found I got enough stuff for a whole family just form cvs. That i was spending more more on taxes on items i didn't need which was wasting money. So if you don't need don't buy it as spending more is a waste.

            • Syndilew

I shop RA more than anywhere else. They have a great rewards program and I love that they still do overage and their deals seem to be the best every week, at least for what my family uses. I also love that most of their items that you get ups for are round numbers so that I can easily do all of the math in my head and can transfer them easily without needing a calculator to do all of the transactions.

            • Couponzgalore

Wags is difficult that is for sure. Each cashier uses a different set of rules so you never know what to expect. It's frustrating. CVS is the best always but Rite Aid is definitely getting my attention lately as well.

            • jrenee

It's that way here in the Montgomery, AL area too. I was tired of feeling like a criminal for using coupons. I, like you, only go in there for the coupon book each month to use at my CVS.

            • Fallaya

They really need to start strictly enforcing limits on how many cards per household a person can have. People act like rain checks are such a great thing, but if you're like me-a toddler, no car, having to take a bus to the store-rain checks aren't that great! I like to go to the store once and find what I need THEN.

        • Guest

Oh, when reading these directions on this website, it says you can keep doing this “until the cows come home” so I didn't know that meant just one time. Trying to learn exactly how this works, and it didn't work for me “until the cows come home”. (see CVS getting started guide)

          • Doconnell864

to me all the rules at cvs make it impossible to shop there, especially when i want to take advantage and get multiple items of the same kind…they seem to limit everything… im a wags person, i never ever have problems there and no stupid limits

            • Guest

You only need to buy one or two. CVS put the same thing on sale so often. I shop at CVS every week and have enough to give to another family every year. I love CVS limits Thank you

            • Nita Royal

Gee, I think CVS is the simplest of all. Though the limits are sometimes lower than I'd like, at least they allow more people a fair shot at getting the deals. When there are no limits, the “shelf-clearers” often leave the rest of us empty handed.

          • caroline

Hope this helps- here's what it says
“You can continue this cycle of handing them play money until you either reach you limit for the item or the cows come home if you keep grabbing free items.”
The “until you reach (the) limit for the item” is what she says first. And trust me, I think we have all tripped up on that at some point!

      • Amy T

Am I reading this right? The cashier tore off your ECBs and kept them? I'm just surprised no one else has commented on this. I would definitely report this to the manager. Limit or not, the cashier took your coupons. He could have stolen them. I would definitely talk to the manager (or corporate office) and see if this is their policy at that store.

      • Erinandmalachi

are you saying they tore off the q from the original receipt or from the second transaction? if they tore it off and took if from the orig. receipt then that is correct that coupon at that point was “used” if they took it from the second trans. they should be reported. I believe that deal was a limit of 2 at that point the second set of ecb should then be used toward something else you can get another pack of gum but it won't print anymore ecb's. Hope this helps

    • caroline

Has anyone been able to print the Rubbermaid $1 off bottle or pitcher?
I have logged in, signed up for the email and don't see any links for printing a coupon. There is a trouble shooting message about the coupon printer (which I already have of course) but I can't find the actual q. Thanks

      • Ashowers64

I have searched all over the site as well and can not find the coupon!

    • kristina

Can someone tell me what is a good price for diapers either pampers or huggies. I am not new to couponing, but it has been 6 years since I had a baby. Now that I am pregnant, I am trying to stockpile what I can of diapers. Thanks

      • Alanakaye

I usually pay under$5 for jumbo packs or $12 or under for the cases of Huggies or Pampers after coupons and ECB. I normally try to pay for diapers with ECBs so my OOP is very small. I also find good deals by stacking coupons at Publix.

        • Lou

I think amazon has best deals. With subscribe and save plus q from parenting mag for 20% off, which could stack up to 3, I pay less than $12 for 160 diapers (size 2) of the chlorine free ones.

          • Blink_11

Just letting you know, “chlorine free” is just one of those advertisement gimmicks. All diapers are chlorine free now. It didn't used to be that way, so I think that's why they started using that in their ads.

      • merry

This is a good price… I also try to stay under $5.00 and usually it is very doable.

      • Julie

5.00 or under is good for a jumbo pack. 5.00 jumbo pack of huggies or pampers is about the same as the Target brand diapers are at regular price. You can also try Amazon – join the Amazon mom club, and see how much per diaper it would be with Amazon mom and subscribe and save – they calculate it for you on the right hand side. I keep track of the best price per diaper (which of course varies by size) on a sheet of paper, so I have a reference sheet

      • Lucy

I would also say that $5 is what I usually pay for a Jumbo pack. Anything $4.50 or below is stock-as-much-as-you can deal for me.

    • Sillysnicks

I found another freebie today at CVS. EOS lip (sign was up) for this week $2.99 and get $2.99 back ECBs. I bought one and the bucks printed!

      • Sarah

        What is EO?

        • Sillysnicks

Its the name of the brand of lip product. Found with the Nivea and other chapstick like products.

          • Sarah

Thanks, I will bry to buy that.

      • Guest

I found this deal also. Good deal.

      • Ladybugpam

neat! Thanks:) do you remember if the sign stated any limits?

        • Sillysnicks

          limit of 1

      • Syndilew

UGH!! I couldn't remember if I read this for CVS or for RA and I couldn't find this at my CVS and bought it at the RA. With it not being advertised, I couldn't get any deal. Well, I will just take it back, thanks, for this info.

    • Rachel O.

Where do you get the “Get More From Your Pharmacy” booklet?

    • Katie

The Peanut Butter Snickers coupon that was printing last week ($1 off) says “fun size” so I thought it was for bagged candy. My cashier told me today it worked on singles, also combined with the Mars candy bars- 4 for $2 with 1 ECB, since they were $0.50, the coupon gives you 2 free! Used 3 coupons from last week, got 6 bars for $0.03 (tax!) and got back the $1 ECB

      • Rachel O.

Thank you for posting this! I thought it was just for the bags too since it says “fun size”. I hope it works at my store too!

        • Paige

My cashier told me it was only for the bags because the fun size are only .89 cents. Maybe I will try today again.

          • jessica

my cashier also said it was for the bags but would let it slide this time. i think the coupon is unclear – they are pretty small candy bars for single size, i think they could be considered ‘fun’ :)

    • Tara Pennington

Random question – The CVS has the 1.50 off one diet coke tear pads, i know there isn't a ECB deal on coke for this week – but are they still 3/10?

      • Tiff715

no, the 3 for 10 was their sale price

    • Cayoung_8

There's a deal on the milkyway/ 3 musketeers. There was a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free in the red plum 1/6. CVS ad says “limit 2” So you buy 12 bars total and use 4 of the coupons (which will take off 50 cents each because this is before the ECB) so that's 12 x .50 = $6.00 – $2.00 in coupons = $4.00 get back $2.00 = $2.00 for 12 milkyway/3 musketeers which equals 16 cents each. You might be able to work a better deal on this because I am fairly new, but just to let ya'll know about it. BTW Jenny and everyone who posts all these helpful tips THANK YOU!!!

      • Musiclady0110

I did this deal today too and was also able to use the $1 off snickers ECB the machine printed me last week!! I had 4 of them!!! I LOVE CVS!!!

    • Candra

The purex all in one detergent is on sale for $3.99, There is a $3.00 off coupon in the newspaper then you can go on purex website and print $1.00 off coupon makes it FREE!

      • wendyc33

No candra thats using 2 manf coupons on 1 product., but it does make it .99 after the 3.00/1. pretty good too.

        • Candra

No, they let me use both with no problems, it rang up fine. They werent the same coupon, one was $3 off and one was $1 off.

          • Nita Royal

Then they made a mistake, since their computers will often accept whatever they scan. It should only be 1 mfg q per item.

          • Amy J.

how many Purex 3-in-1 did you buy?

          • wendyc33

candra if you went to the purex site and printed off 1.00/1 coupon it was a manf coupon ok. you had a 3.00/1 also, which is a manf coupon. unless you bought 2 of them, you couldnt use both. your cashier was clueless, and your wrong.

      • Musiclady0110

Are both of these manufacter coupons?? or is one a CVS coupon ?? At my CVS you can only use one man. coupon per item.

    • Cucabura

In response to Candra…Wouldn't that be using 2 manufacturer's coupons per item if you used both the $3 off and the $1 off? I thought you could only use 1 manufacturer coupon per item. Anyone please let me know.

      • Amy J.

you are correct…..cannot use 2 mf q's on one item. Still a great deal at 99cents by using one of the $3/1 mf q though! HTH!

      • Candra

i just went there earlier, and had no problem using them

        • wendyc33

then you had a cashier that didnt know, but you also hurt other people who use coupons the right way. and not abuse the system. If that 1.00/1 coupon was a store coupon would be no problem, but you used 2 manf. coupons on 1 product which is wrong. enough said. good for you.

          • jhoran

I think the exception to the rule would be if the item is carrying an instant value peelie…at least that's what the guy at cvs told me and it works at wag and kroger.

      • wendyc33

if they were b1g1 she could, but she is not allowed too. I see she got away with it though.

    • wendyc33

wow are u serious? all u have to do at cvs is watch the limit on the items. at walgreens there is way too many rules there to keep up. they change them everyday. stay at walgreens then if u want, but i prefer cvs anyday and the employees are better too. I mean i hate the limits too, but thats the only rule that I seem to have to remember.

      • wendyc33

sorry this was in response to someone, and i forgot to hit reply button. Its too the person who thought wags was less confusing.. haha

        • beck

I'm with you on that one. Love CVS! My CVS store is coupon friendly, the managers and the cashiers are the best! Wags was way too confusing for me. I gave it up several months back, after more than one incident of RRs not printing b/c I used this coupon or that one, or some little thing.

      • JustUnicycle

My biggest thing is that the EBC's last much longer. Makes it easier for casual users to not mess things up. Any time I go somewhere else it is a pain to remember I only have 2 weeks not 4.5 weeks.

    • Meanddblj

I do not see the Dr Pepper listed in the CVS ad…did I miss it or is it an unadvertised sale? Thank you to all who teach others to “fish” on this site!! i.e. Teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime :)

      • Val

Mine either. Maybe a regional thing? I do have $3/10 w/ $3 ecb for root beer, sunkist, and 7up. What a Bummer!!!!

        • Meanddblj

i am in nc. dh went by cvs this morning said dr. pepper not marked as sale….I see the root beer, sunkist and 7up too……bummer is right! if anyone in nc sees it is on sale please post. ty

          • jessica

i was so happy to see the 3 12packs for $7 (after ecb's) this week! we are well stocked om coke and sprite after the past few weeks sales – and i love root beer!

      • harmony84

My store don't have Dr Pepper on sale either; I'm bummed!

      • Bethmgriffith

In Lancaster, SC the Dr. Pepper didn’t print out a ECB. I didn’t realize it until I got home. Check the flyer and it was not listed as being on sale. I will double check next time! That was an oversight on my part!

    • Lkrawson3

I have learned my CVS will not let a coupon go over what it is on sale for… I used my pg coupon on gain detg. the other day .. it was 88cents and I had a 1.00 off coupon and the computer beeped and the salesman said I could not use the coupon because it would make it free with money back …. He asked and the manger said no overages are allowed… Plus they never have half of what is on sale and getting a rain check is hard. I was never able to get a rain check on the dove wash that was in the paper for 3 wks they said that they can't give rain checks on that item… Still learning new at this

      • Mandi

My CVS just adjusts the coupon down to the correct price. I do notice that the store coupons or Red Kiosk coupons do give overage though.

      • Blink_11

depends on your store & the manager. i'd just go to a different location if you have any. we have one on every corner it seems, so i never have out of stock issues, if one doesn't have it i go down the street to the next one!

      • Nita Royal

Your cashier or store manager should have adjusted the sale price up or the coupon value down. That's their corporate policy, which my local managers only agreed to do after I raised a fuss with the regional manager! Now they've all been trained ;-)

      • Kelli

It it's an item that's on sale and normally a higher price than the coupon, give the cashier your coupons first. If I can forsee there being a problem, I leave my keys in my purse and them fumble around for them while she's scanning the coupons. Then, when she's done I have her scan my card. That way the amount of the coupon is higher than the price of the item when it's not on sale. So, like say the cadbury egg is $1.29 normally and you have a $1 off coupon, if she scans the coupon before your card, the computer see's it as your getting it for $.29 even though that's about to come off when you scan your card.

Jenny teaches this practice in her class!

        • JustUnicycle

Bahaha. This is GENIUS! Will have to let my ladies know when I teach the class next month. It isn't so bad for just 1-2, but when it is 5 its like you are losing .60 and the system is set up strange so there isn't much the cashiers can do. Just the shifts. This is the perfect work around.

    • Blink_11

can you use more than one ECB in a transaction? i've never had to, so i never knew the answer!

      • Amy J.

Yes, you can, as long as the total of the ECB's is less than or equal to your subtotal. HTH!

      • Blink_11

never mind, just answered my question since one of the scenarios has 3 ECBs being used :P

    • Mini Egg Deal Not Working

I AM IN SOUTH FL AND THE DEAL WITH THE SMALL PACK OF CADBURY MINI-EGGS IS NOT WORKING/NOT IN THE SYSTEM! THEY RING UP FOR .75, but the EXTRA CARE MONEY DOES NOT COME UP. The poor manager had to modify after each transaction and manually print a $1 ECB. I went at 10 a.m. on Sunday. I hope they will fix it soon at corporate!

      • Mcleodsc

Just got back from CVS and looked at reciept-my ECB did not print either!

      • DebTN

Same thing happened to me. I guess on Sunday morning there's bound to be a bug or two. It pays to check your receipt before you leave. The manager was very nice about it and I did get the $1 ECB.

    • Cayoung_8

I kept thinking about the post I made earlier on the milkyway/mars because I kept feeling like the deal could have been better. I was right. If you only buy 9 of them and use 3 of the buy 2 get 1 coupons rp 2/6 then it's 4.50 for (9) minus 1.50 in coupons (3 @ 50 cents each) and it will print 2 ECB so that's 4.50-1.50-2.00= 1 dollar for 9 which is 11 cents each. UGH I hate it when I figure out a better deal AFTER I've already used the coupon! Me and my sis laugh because we say we need couponers remorse therapy as if paying the 16 cents that I did pay was a rip off LOL. Anybody else do this??

      • JustUnicycle

Wow… That is an impressive lineup. Never thought it through that much. Too bad I missed it. Had to work Sunday and wasn't prepared…

      • Wewabraswell

I love you! Thanks, I haven’t done this deal yet.

    • Dcampbell8

Am I crazy or is the Mendadent toothpaste refills BOGO not showing up on the ad or in the store. My husband loves this toothpaste and I hate buying it unless I have a deal.

    • ab

Does anyone know if CVS will just enter the numbers from an email on your phone for coupons they send out such as $4 off $20 or if you actually have to print them?

      • Jessica

You used to just be able to show them your phone; however, this week when I went the cashier said they no longer could do that. I don't know if that is a corporate thing or not. I am in Birmingham.

      • JustUnicycle

Never had anyone do this, but given most of the time the manager will allow the new customers who print the page in the e-mail (not follow the link to the coupon) most cashiers should be willing to do this. As always, if the cashier is unsure ask the shifts, they are more willing to help.

    • Wainright

I dont have the coupon for the 3.00 off purex 3 in 1 does anyone know where i can find it. was not in my redplum coupon book.

    • fletchtr

The CVS on Hard Scrabble Rd in Columbia, SC has their Valentine's Day candy and cologne sets 75% off. The $19.99 cologne sets at $4.99 before taxes. The cologne sets make great Christmas gifts.

    • Fancyschmancydesigns

Hello! I am very new to this….just started yesterday. I went out and got a paper yesterday to get the coupons but my question is this….how do i build up my coupon stash….i only have what i got yesterday in the paper and of course the printable ones, but do you just have to be patient while your coupon stash builds or are there other things you can do so you can start saving sooner?

I use online clipping services like Coupon masters.com to order coupons for things I know use. Then I hold onto the coupons until the item is also on sale at one of the stores. At first I had trouble staying organized, but then I used someone’s suggestion of setting up a notebook that I can carry shopping with me. It’s a 3-ring binder with the plastic sheets you use for baseball card collections. That makes it easy to group like coupons into organized sections.

Print coupons from the Coupon sites. Share with friends. Be patient. I have been doing this for about 6 months – still don't have everything everyweek.

      • DebTN

Some people buy coupons online – eBay and other sites (do a Google search). I just get the ones from the Sunday papers (sometimes I get multiple copies if its a good week for coupons) and I also subscribe to All You Magazine. It's available by single copy at Walmart, too. A stash of coupons is absolutely necessary to do some serious coupling. Good luck.

        • DebTN

Lol! “coupling”??? Sorry! Meant serious COUPONING. Lol.

        • April

don't buy all you at wal-mart as a single issue. it's not worth the coupons. you can get a good deal on a subscription. there used to be an offer here on southern savers. i got mine through living social. jenny will post if there is another offer from them.

          • Zimmge20

Agreed. It seems to me that All You have gone downhill lately. The last issue had hardly any coupons worth clipping, as far as I am concerned. It used to be much better.

      • jessc5

Be patient and keep your eyes open! Look for blinkies and tearpads at grocery stores, coupons on products, newspapers, junk mail. Sign up for freebies and samples, their is almost always a coupon with them. Send companies an email, and sometimes they'll send you coupons. If you are patient and observant, soon you'll have ooodles of coupons!

      • April

        yes, be patient.

      • Bandanna Man

I’ve been at this since October. I order 6-10 sets of inserts each week using wholecouponinserts.com. It usually takes about 3 days and I receive them in the mail. The usually have a few previous weeks’ inserts for sale as well as the current ones. Hope this will help you.

      • Beck

It'll happen before you know it. Since most coupons in the newspaper expire in a month or two, in a couple of months, you'll have just as many coupons accumulated as the rest of us, b/c all the ones we got before would be expired by then : ). In the mean time, yes look for coupons everywhere you go. There are even some online services where you can order some coupons, if you really wanted to get some in a hurry. Also, ask around to friends, neighbors, church members, there may be some that get the paper and don't use coupons. Good luck. I remember when I started, my stash built up very quickly!

If anyone has been wondering, like I was, whether shampoo counts as a qualifying “hair care” product for Beauty Club purposes, it does not. I was planning on $10 of John Freida putting me over the $50 level to earn the ECBs, but the balance sadly stayed unchanged. Hair coloring products count. Hair cleaning products apparently do not.

      • cardewallen

Actually, it does. I had a problem where qualifying products were not adding to my total so I had to call corporate. They investigated all of my purchases and corrected the problem. On the website it says: “Qualifying Beauty purchases include items from the following categories: Cosmetics, Ethnic Hair Care, Fragrances, Hair Accessories, Hair Appliances, Hair Care, Hair Color, Healthy Skin Care, Hosiery, Skin Care and Sun Care. Excludes items from Beauty 360, items from Trial & Travel, gift cards and prescriptions.” I would count shampoo as Hair Care. Call corporate and they will fix it for you.

      • Tara Pennington

It also takes up to 48-72 hours for it to update on your receipts and on the website.

      • Syndilew

The ECB for this doesn't print out of the register, it actually prints out of the coupon machine. I don't know why they did this but I had this happen to me about 2 weeks ago and was very disappointed but the next time I scanned my card, it printed out with the other qs. HTH

      • In the CVS ad I got today it says that your ECBs will print on your receipt two days following qualifying purchase(s). It also says that hair care is included! Wait two days and it should print off on your receipt hopefully!

      • Godot

Thanks for the replies. Should find out tomorrow.

      • Godot

It's now Tuesday and the credit did show up, as all of you below stated it would. Thanks again for the help.

And, thus, please allow me to correct my statement above —

Shampoo DOES COUNT as a qualifying “hair care” product for Beauty Club purposes.

Which is a good thing ;-)

    • carolinagirl

I went to CVS last night and was told at checkout that coupons printed from computers were no longer accepted. They didn't even want to take a coupon that was sent to me by Excedrin…..only wanted to accept coupons from the paper and home mailer books. The check out girl was nice and said that she just didn't want to lose her job, but we could call the manager. The manager told me an email was sent to them saying not to accept computer coupons anymore because of scams (people making mutiple copies on copiers) but she would take these this time. Anyone else run into this problem? It appears the email just came out.

      • April

most coupons have a watermark where if the cashier knew what to look for, they'd know it was a copy. Maybe they just need to be informed.

        • Godot

Thanks folks! You make a me happy ;-)

    • Guest

Does anyone know how long the Green Tag is good for? The one that you have to scan 4 times to get $1 ECB??

      • jhoran

        Green tags don't expire.

        • Rea

          How do you get them?

          • Wdra0632

You can find them at the check out counter they are shaped like a leaf and cost $.99, they pay for themselves after 4 visits, which is easy to do at CVS. HTH

          • jhoran

Tags can be scanned once per day after a purchase…every 4 visits you will get 1 ebc. Its basically a green idea, meaning that if you use a reusable bag, it will cut down on the use of plastic,so don't forget to take your own bag as they might not want to scan your tag if they give you a plastic bag.

    • AmandaKaye918

Does anyone know how long the Green Cards are good for? The ones that you have to scan 4 times and get $1 ECB? Also, can you only scan it once a day?

      • Joy

It's suppose to be once per visit per day I think. But I've gone to different CVS's in a day snagging clearanced baby items in the past & used my bag/tag & they've scanned it & it added up. I just wanted not to waste a plastic bag.

    • April

there is a purex coupon in today's red plum!

    • Kristan

Had the worst CVS experience I”ve ever had. I have always loved shopping there, but this cashier was so unfriendly. I bought 2 CoverGirl products and had a $1 for each one and she told me she could only take 1 coupon b/c it was only supposed to be 1 alike coupon per purchase…never heard that before, then I was getting the BIGI Thomas toothpaste and had a coupon for each one and she said you're already getting it free, I'm not scanning that other coupon. She handed it back to me. She said there was a lot of coupon fraud going around and they had a new manager and people had been losing their jobs and she didn't want to lose hers. I told her that was the beauty of drugstore shopping…for free deals. I said will you try scanning it and then if the computer kicks it out, then so be it. But she just said no, I won't. She couldn't use a coupon on something that's already free. Has anybody had this problem? What should I do?

      • karen

Assk to speak to a manager. It is not their problem if you are getting it for free… it is not like you are getting “money” back. The coupon policy is “one per purchase”, if you are buying 2 products, it means you are making to purchase… no where does it say u can not use coupons because the item is free!

        • Kristan

That's kind of what I thought. I'm very backward and hate stirring up trouble. I even told her CVS is actually losing the $2 from the coupon. I think I may call down there in the morning and talk to the manager. What made it so bad was she was hateful…wouldn't even look me in the eye and gave me a sob story about her having two babies and she can't afford to lose her job. I don't want anybody to lose their job, but we've all got a sob story to tell, ya know? :-) Thanks

          • Val

You definitely should call! She needs to be informed on the CVS coupon policy. You weren't doing anything wrong; she was.

          • MDHut

she needs to start using coupons then she would understand–especially if she has 2 kids and can't afford……. just saying

          • Jennifer

I agree about calling the manager especially if she is rude ad you have been loyal to that store.

        • JustUnicycle

I key here I have found is “One coupon per purchase.”

My banter usually goes something like this: “It does not say one coupon per transaction like the $4/20, therefore for each purchase of qualifying items I can use one coupon.”

This has solved it in every case I have encountered except for one gentleman trying to use 30 coupons…

      • guest

Call the 1-800 CVS number and tell them the store and cashier. They will contact the regional manager and the store manager.

      • guest

Don't be too hard on the cashiers. There have been a couple of employees at my CVS fired for coupon fraud. Some of them were not even aware that they were doing anything wrong with the way they were taking coupons. CVS is evidently getting tougher on coupons, but not teaching their employees the proper use. So PLEASE, if you have a complaint, take it up with the manager and not the cashiers who are just doing their jobs.

      • stacey

I had a similar experience in charlotte. A cashier just looked at a printed coupon and said she couldn’t take it because some yellow dots were missing. She wouldn’t scan it either. I told her I was out of color ink. So i asked to speak with a manager and he gladly scanned it and took it. He was annoyed with the cashier for wasting his time on a $1 coupon. He said she should have just taken it. if i were you i would find a store with nice cashiers who know what they are doing.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

There is a lot of misconception on “one per purchase.” Technically, in coupon terms, “Purchase” refers to the number of items specified in the coupon. For example, if the coupon is $2 off 1 Pantene shampoo, then 1 piece of that Pantene shampoo is “one purchase.” Similarly if the coupon is $2 on 3 Pantene Shampoo; then for coupon purposes, these 3 pieces of Pantene shampoo are “one purchase.” Coupon state “one per purchase” almost universally just to assert that you can not use 2 (like Qs) of, let's say, $2 on 1 Pantene shampoo coupon on just 1 piece of Pantene bottle. Manufacturers have nothing to do with what other “purchases” you are making in your transaction-they are only for their own “purchases.” Many employees confuse everyday use of “purchase” with coupon “purchase term.”

On store B1G1 sale, for many, it is too good to be true that you can use manuf b1g1-manuf Qs can be used irrespective of store sales/discount (unless specifically stated on coupons-which is never the case)

I also believe that now more and more employees are getting educated about it. You just need to show confidence and educate them on the logic. If they refuse to learn, turn away from sale and follow thru proper channels. The cashier you encountered was probably insecure one not knowing that bluntly refusing valid transaction could also be a ground for dismissal.

    • Rusty

Does anyone know where the best place to get coupons for men? It seems like many of the deals – exclude men's items, such as Nivea,, Mennan, Dial Soap, etc…..

Sorry nothing against the ladies but it seems a bit discriminatory to offer a coupon for Dial Soap and exclude it for the same item/price but labled Dial for Men………

Men like to have the discounts too!

      • Val

I feel like there's always more coupons and sales for men! I can't remember the last time I paid cash for men's deodorant, bodywash, or razors, but I always seem to have to pay at least a few dollars for my products.

If you haven't already sign up for the newsletters for Right Guard, Nivea, Axe, etc. and they'll email you coupons and let you know when they're available. Also, sign up for Jenny's daily coupon email. She emails you all of the coupons that have come out that day. Print the ones you like that day and then wait for a sale.

      • DebTN

Over the past several weeks I've gotten several good deals on men's products – Gillette body wash, Old Spice and Degree Deo, and razors. Keep checking the Sunday inserts, Rusty.

      • tygirl13

Just hang in there Rusty, the guy deals come around I promise. My husband has about 10 different varieties of body wash to choose from in the “bathroom pantry”.

I haven't made the monthly donation to our local community ministry, so please keep any comments about hoarding body wash to yourselves ;-) I realize that it will take about 3 years to go through that much body wash.

      • Jennifer

I agree w/the others Rusty…You sould have been shopping a couple weeks ago. I got several bath products for my husband and deodorant. Make sure it says “excludeing men's”. I used a dove that only had women's products on the picture on a men's deodorant with no trouble!

      • Rina

right guard body wash is on sale at rite aid this week. Also if you aren't real picky about what you use for body wash or deodorant, like my husband, you'll have lots to choose from. Based upon my overstock of items, old spice and gillette have the most bogo deals. plus with the P&G coupons it can save you a ton. proglide razors are usually around $1 or free(like next week so make sure your P&G insert in your paper). keep following this blog and all the other comments/advice, and you'll be amazed at how quickly your bathroom stock pile will grow.

    • troygrad

I made money on the colgate today and i didn't even use a coupon!! oe of the colgate max white flavors that gets the 2 ecb this week was on clearance for 1.69!! and the ecb still printed!! yay for money makers!!

      • ireneY

Scanned all the Max varieties and only one clearance priced at $2.58 at my store in GA. Prices must vary quite a bit?

        • JustUnicycle

The AMM (Clearance tags) do vary slightly by location and usually do not get hung until Sunday afternoon. So Sunday morning shoppers will usually miss out of the clearance deals.

      • Musiclady0110

Same thing here…i got the Max White Mini Bright Strips…. it rung up for $1.79 and got the $2 ECB!!! :)

    • NorthALCouponer

Went to CVS for the first time today. I bought the Cadbury egg and the Opti-Free Replenish contact solution. The cashier said there was a problem with the Cadbury egg ECB (it wasn't printing on the receipts like it should) so she gave me a $1 ECB for it!

      • Ajsprecious90

I've got to return our CVS to get my Cadbury ECB. Didn't realize until I got home. Make sure to check your ECB before leaving the store.

      • HappyMom

same thing here – I love CVS!

    • NorthALCouponer

Oh I had a question about the coupons that print out in the store, are they different for different people? I was looking for the Revlon one but it didn't print when I scanned my card.

      • 21YrOldCouponer

For the most part yes, however, sometimes they will have offers that everyone gets (2 weeks ago it was advertised $3/$10 cosmetic.) The Revlon is pretty rare in my experience this week. (Only 2 of my customers got it.) On that note though, if you do get it look for the 75% off stickers on a few mascaras. They will get down to $2.75 with $3 off is MM.

      • Mamaberry

You should know too that sometimes you can scan your card twice at the scanner and q's come out twice. (Not always, but sometimes). I have noticed that on my second scan some of the better q's come out! hth!

    • HappyMom

First, thanks Jenny!! Second, I love my local CVS. My ECB didn't print for my egg either, however, I always check my goods before I leave and I noticed it. I went back in and they gave me an ECB for $1 instead of .75. Last week a Vday promo had ended on 2/12, however they still had the yellow sticky promoting it. I didn't realize the promo had ended on 2/12 when purchasing the item on 2/13. I went back in on 2/14 – they still had the sticky up – the manager GLADLY gave me my ECB $5 and thanked me for bringing it to her attention – even though I didn't really know that it should've ended sooner. Happy Shopping!

      • Interplanetjanetsc

I got $1ECB for the egg, too!!! my cashier was great – mentioned it even before he rang me up! I'm loving CVS!

    • Tara Pennington

In addition to the $3 off purex 3-in-1 sheets (making them 0.99), there is also a $1 off purex ultra concentrate liquid detergent and it's on sale for 1.99 (making it 0.99)

    • Heatherd08

I missed the palmolive coupon this time! I saw it on coupons.com, but didn’t get it before the max had been printed. Anyone have any pointers as to which coupons are good ones to print “ahead” of time? I know deals roll around every few weeks, but I’m new to the coupon thing and need to know when to stock up on them

      • Mamaberry

Coupons dot com resets at the beginning of each month. Jenny will post what q's are new for each month and which items are 'high dollar' q's to print.

My advice is to check out her list at the beginning of the month, or check out coupons dot com at the beginning of the month. If you see an item you KNOW you use regularly, print it…and hit the back button to get two of them. Save them for when a sale comes around. That way you always have your regular items q's before they are gone.

The other thing I will tell you (personal preference here) is that Dawn comes around every few weeks either at CVS or Wags for $.99 or $.98. P&G runs $.25-$.50 q's just about every month. And, I think Dawn beats Palmolive hands down…just my opinion.

        Hope this helps a little!!!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

I just said the same thing above. Dawn is much much better than Palmolive and almost always have 20c to 50c coupons monthly in PG inserts. I think its on sale at CVs coming week

    • Kandbcobb

I went to our Local CVS(Huntsville, AL) and was disappointed that they no longer accept competitor coupons(all..including Walgreens and publix). Just thought I would give others a heads up!

    • Artlady8

The finish dish detergent was on sale again also for 2.99, Today is the last day to use the 2.25 coupon off on the finish!1 I was so excited to pick up this deal before the coupons expired!!

    • Wdra0632

For Heatherd08 in regards to which coupons from Coupons.com and other sources to print ahead, here are some sites that may help you with deciding what to print: iheartcvs. iheartriteaid. and iheartwags. all with com at the end. These sites usually have sales flyers for a few weeks ahead that you can look and decide what you want and if a coupon becomes available you will know to print it. I HTH. :)))

    • The Saver

I went to a CVS today and had 2 transactions. Total before coupons was $22.46 and after coupons it was $6.19! I bought 2 Gillete deodorant sticks, 1 Colgate toothpaste, and 1 Purex laundry detergent. They do the tax before you use your coupons, so even if an item is $1.99 and you use the $2ECB you still have to pay tax, which $0.17 for a $6.29 detergent is alright by me!

    • I FINALLY got one of those $4 off $20 Qs emailed to me this week. It has been awhile! It worked out well with the Purex detergent sheets AND I only had to do one transaction, which was nice because I had my two very impatient little ones with me. I started with a $4 ECB from last week and ended up spending $3.79 OOP and saving $44! (click the link on my name for detailed coupon info).

Wish I would've known about the free lip balm a little earlier….I might just have to go back!

    • Vtkelly

Does anyone know how much the gain dryer sheets are at CVS?

      • jessica

i didn't see gain dryer sheets at either of the cvs's i checked. if you can force yourself to enter 'the (dreaded) walmart', from what i read they have the best prices for those $3 gain coupons. they are $3.12 for 80 sheet packs. hth :)

        • Kristy

I went to Dollar General. They even had some $2 dryer sheets. I actually bought 2 gain detergents @5 & 2 gain dryer sheets. My receipt reflected the $3 off gain detergent & $1 off the dryer sheets. The gain was $5 each x 2 = $10 -6 so $4 for both. Then 2 dryer sheets for $2 each x $2 -$2= $2. So $6 total for 2 dryer sheets & 2 gain. Hope that made sense.

      • Bopat21

Gain dryer sheets (80 ct) are 3.12 each at Walmart. If you are using the $3.00 off coupon, you get them for 12 cents.

    • FYI the Palmolive Coupon is no longer there. This is my first week so I needed those printables :( oh well – it'll build up and I'll be doing great! :o)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Dawn is much better than Palmolive. Dawn will be on sale 99c (or 97) at CVS this coming week-use either 50c Q from the PG booklet (one batch in that booklet expires 2/28) or wait for this new PG coming out Wednesday in some areas to see if there is a good value Q

    • Hlbball34

if i have a coupon for b1g1 deodarant or bodywash and the store has it on sale for b1g1 50% off how does that work i know it would be better to wait til it was b1g1 free so they both will be free but the coupons expire soon? any advice? anyone know where gillette deodarant or old spice is on sale at?

    • Kristina

HELP!! I'm just getting started, so I am pretty much clueless! My $4.00 off $20 will expire on 2/24, and I have no idea what would be the best deal this week to use it before I lose it. Suggestions are appreciated! :)

        Buy 1 Cadbury Egg .75
1 Gold Emblem Jelly Beans .99
2 Aussie Hair Care 2.98 each

Pay with 6.16 OOP (or use any ECB you have)

Get back $3.74 in ECB to use next week.

        Hope that helps!

I NEVER get $off emails from CVS!

What is the “Get More From Your Pharmacy booklet”? Thanks!

      • You can get this booklet at a Kroger Pharmacy.

    • lhsabine

I'm new at this, but yesterday I got Vitamin Waters for 31 cents each. I went in for the Cadbury eggs and wanted a drink. The sign was for 88 cents for a Vitamin Water, but it range up 4 for $1.25. Ended up being 31 cents each. No sure if it was a fluke, but it was a nice surprise!

      • It must have been a fluke b/c I went to get some Fuze (yesterday they had a sign saying 4/ $1.25) when I went back today (with my coupons) the sign was turned around and it was 1.25 ech

    • Flygirl22963

Just got back from Cvs and got my egg, jelly beans, b2g1free x2 candybars & a 12 pack of beer! Total Oop $2.32 Ebc used $9.00 Ecb gained $2.75 virtually this trip was a freebie!!!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

ECBs are earned; so depending how you look at it, you actually lost some

    • Quick question. If I have a $3 ECB and my total is $2.79 can I still use it or do I need to get my total over $3? Would I just be losing change that way?

      • you can still use them you would just lose it… I've done it :)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

ECB will be adjusted down to 2.79. It is a good idea to grab one caramel candy for 33c that lie by the register to make the most of your bucks

        • Thanks!

          • If you give items in this order you might be able to get the ECB to cover tax: 1) Scan items 2) give ECB card 3) Give ECB 4) Give coupons

I went to CVS today and got my “free” stuff. The register didn't print out my .75 ecb for the Cadbury Egg so the Manager did it manually. When she did, it printed out a $1.00 ecb instead of the .75! =) That was a free egg and a .25 profit! I'm happy! lol!

      • Kristy

Mine didn't print either. Was in a hurry & didn't ask. Figured I had bought the wrong one since I got the caramel filled one. Oh well!

        • judebluiz359

Kristy, you can call CVS corporate -the Extra Bucks number -and they can look up your receipt and see that it wasn't issued and add it to your card.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

When they do it manually, it is always in increments of $, no pennies. For example, if they were to issue $3.50 ecbs, then they would probably have to issue $4 instead as there seems no way to print change

      • Jenni P

I tried 2 different stores, and neither of them had either of the Cadbury items in stock yet. But I did get the jelly beans.

      • Paige

        Mine did that too!

    • ISU2014

CVS had the Colgate toothpaste on clearance for .86. It still printed the extra care buck!! I made $1.14 buying toothpaste!

    • Erin

I love the scenarios you attached to the bottom of the lists! Thank you!

    • Lisamarieonssi

Jenny, I love your site. The coupon data base is awesome. Is there a way to find out where the best sale item is (like a best price data base)? For example, if I have to have Claritin is the only way for me to find out the best price right now is go through the stores' lists from their tab?
Thanks for all you do !!

      • gardengirl

use the 'search' at the top and put in claritin. it will pull up all the ads where she has listed claritin. check the date of the ad to make sure it is a current ad. this may not be clear, but when you do the search, you will see what i mean.

        • Lisamarieonssi

          THANKS !

Read this:- If you have a manuf q with higher amount than sale price or subtotal. I have known this for a long time; so I will finally list here. Always let ANY item scan first. As long as the first item scanned is NOT your card, then the register looks at the original price for subtotal purposes and takes off discount at the end. So, if you scan Gain detergent first, then you can easily use the coupon for $1 without a beep. This is because the register is still reading the original price.

This also does wonders when ecb payment pushes the subtotal to negative and thus pays off some tax. This will only work if you have at least some item/s on sale so as the register looks at higher before sale price in 'sub-total” field. If none of the items you are buying on sale at all and have just one before and final price, then the negative subtotal will not work because there is no store discount taken off at the end. Also, you may scan the card even only after at least one item scanned, it would still work the same as if you scanned your card at the end or after coupons.

Now that I have posted here, I am sure CVS will reprogram its register to “repair” this.

Thanks for putting this on here… I bought the gain last week when it was 88 cents and I had a 1.00 off and they would only take the 88 cents off … I was bummed but I at least got it for free…. I also have a question… I see they have the herbal and aussie sale again with extra bucks back, limit one…. back like a month or so ago I did it then and got my ecb.. Can you still do it with it being another sale?
Thanks I need all the help I can get…

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

Each week starts a new sale with reset button except monthly deals. This is marketing-they would not stop you from buying again. The only reason, they put limit on ecb/sale items each week because they want all customers to have fair share and just not one customer wipes out shelves.

          • Lkrawson3

thanks for getting back to me…. I was just wondering with my receipt having at the bottom saying aussie ecb met , and a few other things and I saw this week they had the aussie again and it had been over a month since the last time I had bought… I want to learn how to really do this so I am saving even more money.. I have 2 in college and 1 getting married… need all the help… I talked to a manager at Publix today about coupons so that helped me alot also…. again thanks

      • rebecca

how do you do that when they ask you first thing if you have a cvs card?

        • Bethanylehmann

start putting your items up to be scanned and take second to get your card out of your wallet. they will start scanning while you dig.

    • StaceyAnney

I am new to CVS and I am sure this has been asked many times before (sorry for the repetition if that is the case) but my question is, if I have one transaction with 3 different items that all offer a $3 ECB will I get $9 worth of ECB or just $3 ECB.

      • Katietascrn

As far as I know, you will get multiple ECB's as long as they are on different items. For instance, if you buy 2 Cadbury eggs this week in one transaction, I think you'll only get the ECB for one of the eggs. But if you buy a Cadbury egg and the Gold Emblem Jelly Beans in one transaction, you will get both ECB's printed. Hope that helps :)

      • Momofjihl

The ECB's will print out based on item type. If you purchase 2 of the same item which each have $3 ECB, then it will print out as a $6 ECB. If all 3 items are different, it will then print 3 separate $3 ECBs

      • Maggie1179

You'll get $9 as long as you fullfill the requirements for each item

    • Kenzbug

I haven't tried the CVS thing yet. This ad didn't really have anything I was wanting. Hope next weeks ad is better.

    • In the Atlanta ad Coke 2L are B1G1. Too bad the coupon on the CVS website is for 20L but it did get me thinking about my recycle bank coupons. Don't forget them if you have them! Totally free Coke!

      • Qpawnclipper

        whats recycle bank coupons???

    • joanna00

The Berwick CVS in Savannah had a basket marked “Everything $1,” and it had lots of name-brand make-up and accessories. I was able to get the Sally Hansen Color Quick Nail Pen (normally $9.99!!!!) and some of the Hard as Nails polish (that rang up for $0.75). Other items included Borghese and Wet 'N Wild nail polishes, loofahs, and various lip items. Happy hunting!

    • Trice

Could you all check my logic I want to buy the following:
2-Colgate $2.99 (get $4 ECB, want to use .50/1 coupon SS)
      1-Assorted Jelly Beans .99 (get .99 ECB)
3-Palmolive .97 ea. (want to use a printable .25/1 coupon printable)
1-Biore pore strips $6 (want to use $1 off coupon printable) AND 1-John Frieda Conditioner $5 (want to use $2 off coupon printable)…(buying both get $3 ECB)

I have a $4 off coupon when you spend $20

So I estimate that this would put me at the 20 dollar mark so I can use the $4 off along with the other printable coupons, and the one SS coupon. Along with getting the $8 ECB printed on the reciept

Please help I am a newbie. I did go and get the EOS today and I have that $2.99 ECB but I assume I can't use that with my $4 off coupon or can I?

      • Syndilew

        Yes, you can!

      • artlady

You can use as many ECB as you want to pay for a transaction! :)

    • Kerriertaylor

I have been using this site for over a year and I am considering jumping in to doing CVS too. I am a little confused by the scenerios at the bottom. Are they separate transactions done all at the same time. ie you ring up items in scenerio #1 and pay, then ring up items for #2 and pay, then #3. Are they all in one trip or separate trips to use your ecb? Thanks!

      • Scottpluskelly

The scenarios are all in one trip to CVS. I know it feels strange to ring up 3 times, but they are very nice and very used to it.

    • Ema6763

Do you have to do the toothpaste in 2 transactions in order to get the ECB twice?

      • Mceccofiglio

    • Tara Pennington

Did a huge run to CVS tonight. I did it all in one big transaction, so that I could acquire the ECBs for the awesome ad starting Sunday.

I bought 29 items, paid $21 dollars, saved almost $60 and I have $14 ecb to roll!

I bought 3 kleenex, 3 cg eyeshadows, 2 biore pore strips, 3 diet coke12pk, 3 king size snickers, 1 snickers peanut butter, 4 three muskateer truffle crunch, GE jelly beans, 2 starbucks coffees, colgate sensitive, colgate max white, a gatorade, 2 fruitopia shampoos, and 2 herbal essences shampoo.
