I went in one Saturday night to try the Saturday night shopping at my CVS. The manager there told me the ECB would print out if I shopped the night before so I didn't risk trying it. Is it different at different stores or did he not know what he was talking about???

      • Jana Lee

It is my understanding, from taking Jenny's class, that if the store is a 24 hours store, you cannot shop on Saturday night for Sunday's deals. If the store closes, then you should be able to shop after 6 pm on Saturday for that week and next week's deals.

        • gingerinCA

2 of my stores are 24- hour, and they both print out on Saturday night.

      • Amy

It depends on the CVS. At my CVS, which is not 24 hours, the new deals will work starting Saturday morning and the ECBs do print. I almost always shop on Saturdays.

        • BerylRenee

I shop on Saturday morning too. I wait until around 12.

      • kelli

at my store, they say that the sales start on saturday around 6 pm BUT the insist that the extra bucks will not print out if you shop on saturday night. I go out to buy my papers on sunday morning anyway, so I just go to cvs then. It's easier to do that then to try it and having it not work… then having to return stuff.

      • Lori

I go to the CVS in Snellville on the corner of Rockdale Circle and 78 and I go in there every Saturday afternoon and get the deals from that week and the deals starting Sunday. I never have a problem. One time my ECB's didn't print out, but the fixed it and gave me my ECBs!

      • gingerinCA

Really, the only way to know for sure is to try. Why not try it on something cheap, like the gum? if it doesn't work, you're only out a dollar.

      • kim

I shopped this morning (9 am) for tomorrows ad at my CVS in WNC and didn't have any trouble getting the ECBs.

    • cham

I just thought we could use the BOGO Physicians Formula but then I saw LIMIT1… sad

      • Carrie

Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the limit of 1 means you can only buy one. I think it means that you can only do the deal and receive ECBs one time. If you want to do the deal again and not receive ECBs then the store won't stop you. In other words, if this BOGO coupon is still within it's expiration date then I think you would be able to but one, get one free (because of coupon) and still get one $7 ECB. It might at least be worth a try – ask the manager.

        • guest

You are correct. The limit applies to the ECB offer, not the amount of product that you may buy.

      • Jbush27

You can still use it and you will get one free, but you just won't get ecb's for the other one.

      • cham

oooooooooooops…. wht i wanted to say is 'if there was no limit, this cld hv been a one sweet deal'
sry abt that guys… and next time i'll be careful with my writing

(Carry, Jbush27 & “annonymus” thank you for responding)

    • dana

for the green dot prepaid card, is $4.95 the fee you get charged for getting one? I don't know how the pricing works. I would do it if I wouldn't lose any money on the process cause I can always use a prepaid

      • AJ

I'd like to know this, too. Is it $2 ECB when you get a $4.95 prepaid visa card or is it $4.95 plus whatever you load onto the card?

      • The $4.95 is the fee you pay to load it. You would still have to load it with however much you planned to.

    • Anonymous

Hey Jenny, I didn’t see it listed above, but there is also a GREAT deal on the NesCafe Taster’s Choice Coffee Sticks. They will be $1.00 this week for the 6-7ct and there are printable coupons available http://www.tasterschoice.com/offers.aspx a BOGO and a $0.75 off any too! I posted about how it works here http://www.thefrugalfreeloader.com/2010/04/coffee-lovers-please-read-for-great.html

      • AJ

Oooh. Thanks for this. I love those sticks. I mix them with Nestles Hot Chocolate for a super yummy mocha!

    • Elizabeth

That Complete Solution coupon expires 4/2–which would be Friday, not Saturday, correct? And not able to be used early? Or am I missing something? :) (I'm wondering, since I tossed it last night in my expired coupon clean-out, knowing I wouldn't be able to use it with any sale today-Friday)

      • gingerinCA

I just did the exact same thing! Gah!

      • Carrie

I think you are right. This happened to me on something last month. The coupon expired the night before a really great deal started.

      • You're right :) I'm good with what day of the week it is but never really know what actual day of the month it is. I've always blamed it on being a stay at home and never leaving the house.

    • beth

HP ink at CVS….I had no idea. Does anybody know what it's retail price range is? I happen to need magenta and cyan….

      • Jana Lee

I don't know about individual colors, but mine uses 74 (black) and 75 (color). The black ink is usually $19.99 and the color ink is usually $23.99. Depends on how many ECBs you have as to whether or not it will be a good deal.

        • jilligan135

If your printer takes the individual colors, it is usually about 10 dollars at walmart.

      • quarleywoman

the 02 is 9.99 per color at office depot and slightly cheaper at Walmart. Multipaks are 39.99 at office depot and usually 32 or 33 at Walmart. Depends on what sells are on. Anybody know the price of the 60. Just got a new printer with a great deal from HP.

    • silverborne

Complete has gone on a ecb deal every 4ish months. The last time I chose one with a $1 off peelie. I had a $2 off so I pocketed the peelie. I now have a $1 off peelie to use. I bring this up only as a tip for others to consider as they shop. Even if you have a coupon, get the one with the peelie if the expiration date is 3 or more months out, otherwise I leave it for someone without a coupon.

    • Heather

Does anyone know if I can use two extra care coupons for the same transaction? I have a $2 off your next baby purchase of $10 or more (printed in store from those kiosks) AND I got an email for $5 off my next $25 purchase in store. I'm trying to figure out if I can use them both but the small print isn't very helpful.

I am hoping to do the $10 ECB wyb $25 baby products along with one or both of those coupons… for a great deal on diapers and lotion!

      • lovesavingmoney

You should be able to. I would ask your manager first =)

      • TraceyGA

I tried to combine this same $2 off $10 baby purchase with a $3 off $15 purchase coupon last week and the cash register beeped. The cashier showed me the fine print on the $3 off $15 coupon that said that the coupon couldn't be combined with another $ off a certain purchase coupon. I was disappointed but still did pretty well in the end.

        • Kelly

As long as the coupon amounts are different ($3 off $15, $5 off $20, etc), I've been able to use multiple without a problem.

      • jkwilder

I was able to use a 2 off baby purchase of 10 or more last wk with my huggies 3$ coupons. No problems for me. But I didn't combine with a 5 off 25

Does CVS really let you buy two products, use a B1G1 and a Manuf. q? I tried to do this last week with the toothbrushes and the cashier said the B1G1 counts for both items so I couldn't use the .75 q too. I tried to find their policy but couldn't.

      • SusanStauffer

That is not CVS corporate policy. Do a search on here; Jenny posted a response from corporate detailing their coupon policy; you can use one coupon per item. The cashier was misinformed.

        • mommie52906

          I googled and found this.

CVS accepts a number of different types of coupons. CVS stores accept the following types of coupons:

          1. Manufacturer Coupons (this includes both coupons from newspapers / magazines / other print sources ans well as manufacturer online printable coupons)

          2. Store Coupons (this includes CVS store coupons found in their weekly fliers , CRTs and purchase based coupons)

          3. Competitor Pharmacy Coupons (they do not, however, accept any other type of competitor coupon)

          4. Extra Care Bucks (called ECBs for short, they are like a Catalina from the grocery store that is printed out at the cash register)

CVS allows a shopper to use one manufacturer and one store coupon per item. In addition, the shopper may also use Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) since they are treated by CVS like a gift card, not like a coupon. Since a shopper can use three types of discounts on a single item, this makes for some great deals each week.

The official CVS coupon policy is that if an item is on sale as a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO), you may use two manufacturer coupons when making the purchase.

CVS does not allow overages. That means that you will not be able to get cash back (although you will be able to earn money with their ECBs). If something $0.95 and you have a $1.00 off coupon, the CVS register will make a nasty beep. When this happens, the cashier simply need to override the coupon and bring the amount down to mach the product price (in this case $0.95). Most cashiers are very familiar with this, but it’s good to know if you happen to get a new cashier and you can prepare yourself for the beep if you know that you will have an overage.

These are the most up to date 2010 CVS coupon policy that we are aware of. This current CVS coupon policy is pretty well established and we assume that it will continue as the 2011 CVS coupon policy as well (we will update if there are any changes in the 2011 CVS coupon policy when that time comes).

      • kelli

I think that it depends on the way that the coupon is coded. Some bogo coupons are coded to attach to both products, so are coded to attach to just 1 of them.

      • a_shrader

My cashier (my super nice favorite :) ) had a problem with these 2 coupons. She said that she had to ring up the 75 cent one first then the bogo. (I believe that was the order). But if she did them in the correct order the register wouldn't beep and it would go thru fine. We had a conversation over it, cuz she was frustrated with herself b/c she kept forgetting which order to do it in and it took her a minute to get it right. hth

      • Amy J.

I had the same problem at CVS w/ B1G1 on the Bioluxe Shampoo and Conditioner this past Sunday…….i was only allowed to use one Q since the sale was B1G1, the cashier said the register was not allowing her to let me use 2 Q's. Kinda makes sense, if u think about it…..but nonetheless, i was a bit disappointed. oh, well, at least “now I know” :-)

        • armywife74

Amy, I too had the same problem with the Bioluxe and found the small print on those coupons say one coupon per transaction or some simular wording. I was able to use 2 of the 1 dollar off any cvs hair product coupons though during this transaction. Until I read post on here I just assumed those would only be good on CVS brand name products.

      • LISA

I had the same problem with the pedialyte this week at CVS. I bought four, tried to use use 2 B1G1 and 2 1.50 off, but the machine beeped. I could only use the 2 B1G1.

        • I had this same issue with the Pedialyte and emailed corporate. They insisted their policy is : “One CVS coupon and one manufacturers coupon per item”. They had the district manager call me, who informed me that B1G1 q's are coded to two items…since when? I have been combining $ off q's and B1G1 q's for years. Jenny often lists scenarios this way, and I always do her scenarios. Incidentally, I went to another CVS and they took the coupons no problems. So apparantly, this is working just fine at some stores and not at others.

        • superofertas

          I did too :(

    • haleybell19

I have a question. I still haven't made it to CVS for this week's deals. My store starts their sales for next week on Sat night after 6 pm. If I go then, will I still be able to get THIS week's deals in addition to NEXT week's deals? I really don't feel like going twice. :-)

      • haley

        by deals, i mean ECBs

      • jessica

Yes. That's what I do at my store sometimes if I haven't gotten to my CVS shopping by Saturday- I just go Sat. night and do two weeks at once.

    • Michelle

      is there a link to a $5 off $25 Q?

      • These coupons print out either at the end of your receipt or at the big red coupon center box in the store after scanning your card. It's not a guarantee that you'll get one, but it's always nice to. These types of coupons are made specifically for your Extra Care Card, so links won't work. HTH!

    • lovesavingmoney

Dont forget your quaterly ECB's started to print yesterday. =) You can print them out online or at the kiosk!

      • Annie

I just got mine today! 7.50! woohoo! and I took a survey from cvspaneladvisor and got 10 ecb for completing the survey! Have I said that I love love love CVS?!!!

        • gingerinCA

Help! Anyone who's on the panel, is your username the same as your email address? I signed up in January and took about 2 surveys, and none since. When I try to sign in, it doesn't seem to recognize me, there's no “forgot username/password” link, and I tried to sign up again, only to be told that my email is already in use.

          • lisaphy

            yes, it is.

          • lisaphy

you can call them to help you log in

          • Jackie Hanson

How do you sign up to be on the panel.? I would love to do it?

        • Jackie Hanson

Just printed mine $14.40. I could not believe that I had spent that much. I'm going to have fun shopping this month.!!!!!!

      • Jessthere

Thank you!!! I did not know they gave out quarterly ECB's, I checked the site and I had $8 in my account. I also got the survey and received $10 and in e-mail a $5/$25. Heading to CVS today for free shopping :)

      • shannontillman

How do I get quarterly ECB's?

    • shaunascoupons

NOT GETTING $4 off $20 email coupons.

Here is what I found out after calling customer service. The coupons like this are emailed out based on how much you spend and how often you shop at CVS. I did stop going in as frequently if my list wasn't that long but now I think even if the list just has toothpaste or something like that free I will try to go in and get a few things with free just to trigger that awesome $4 off $20 email coupon. HTH

      • Carrie

I go in every week and I've never received one of these e-mails.

        • Lori

          Me to!

        • I had to end up sending them an email about that because i have had my card since they first came out and had never had it registered to my email. Then, when it had been long enough, they still were not sending me anything. I sent them an email and they told me they weren't sure why it was happening or not happening, rather. But them miraculously they began appearing!

      • joybuyer

I have no idea if this is linked in some way or not, but it seems like when I log into my CVS account on line and look at the Extracare info (Balance, yearly spending..ect) in about 24 hourse I always get a $4 off $20 coupon. (Maybe the e-mail is triggered by my log on to the site. I go on every week when you guys are saying you had one come to you via email -and so far I get one emailed the next day. It can't hurt to give it a try! :)

        • Carrie

Thanks for the info, I'm going to try that.

      • firstbrownie

I've been signed up for several months and have never received a coupon. I noticed in my profile recently that there is a questions like “Do you want to receive special coupons and rewards from the Extra Care Program?” You have to choose “Yes” or “No”. I obviously picked “Yes” and saved my changes. A couple days ago, I went back on, and checked it and it was on the “No” option. I changed it to “Yes” and
made sure I saved my changes again. Last night, I checked it again, and it was on “No” for a third time. I changed it again, and today I checked it and it was on “No” again!!!! I called customer service today and the lady said she would fix it and it shouldn't happen again. You might want to check this option and see if it keeps changing like mine did. I hope to be getting some coupons soon!!

    • creames

I will not get coupons in my Charlotte Observer paper on Sunday. I was told many months ago that they do not include coupons on holidays. How can I get the coupons if they don't deliver them?

      • gingerinCA

The website coupon clipping crew dot com sells whole inserts, so you should be able to buy one from them if you want. I believe their inserts come from the New Jersey something or other– Sentinel, maybe?

    • AJ

This past week, I signed up for a CVS account and then went to my local store to get a card. When I attached the card to my online account, I did not get the “intro” 4 off 20 coupon. BUT, I did get 3.50 quarterly rewards because the cashier gave me the “register” card that they use for non-card holders. So I guess that's better!

      • guest

The 'intro' coupon normally takes several weeks before it gets emailed to you. Keep an eye on your email account and it will show up eventually. :)

    • Jennifer

What does the handwritten “WUC” on the pages of the ad mean? It seems to be written on specific items. Thanks!

      • BethMc

It's short for We Use Coupons. The woman who generated the ad scan (Didie) also heads up that site (I think she does).

    • Rachael

should we have gotten the pantene coupons from Vocalpoint already?

      • Carrie

The coupons I received that I think Jenny's referring to came about 3 weeks ago with a full size sample of Pantene's Fusion Shampoo (smells like perfume!!!). I told my daughter that I just might be willing to pay full price for a shampoo that smells that good. I'm hoping it is included in the sale.

    • Gabe

Does anybody know if the playtex diaper genie refills will be included in the baby stuff sale? I did this deal last year and stocked up on those.

      • guest

Judging by the pictures of the ad, the Diaper Genie refills do not appear to be included in this particular deal. They do offer 'baby sale' type deals with different items included from time to time, and it seems this time they chose not to include that item. Hopefully they will include it again soon so you can stock up again.

    • Mandy

Shout out to couponers in Jacksonville, FL!! Does anyone know of any CVS store that starts their ECBs on Saturday? I asked at the one near my house, but no luck. If you know of a store, please tell me the location :) Thanks!

      • pam

Can someone explain to me what the current balance means on the extra care page. I'm new to this and I've made prchases over the past tree weeks and I have no idea what this means. I have a current balance of $12.51 that has an end date of 6/10 and it also says 3/28/10 Crest, Buy 1 Get 2 EB current balance $1 ends 04/03/2010. Please help.

        • mandy

          Hi, Pam!
The Current Balance refers to how much u have spent at CVS so far for this quarter (example, Spring quarter). On 6/10, the Spring quarter will end & u will receive 2% cash back from the register on the total amount that u have spent, probably in July some time. As far as the Crest deal, u probably participated in that reward at some time. It's just logging it on your account. Hope that helps!!

          • MomMe

Mandy thanks for explaining, i was wondering the same thing. I have a $24 balance on winter spending. so when you say it is cash back, how does that work? is it actual cash they give you or is it issued like an ECB? Thanks for your help

            • tori729

It's ECBs. It will print out at the kiosk or on your receipt.

    • Marina115

Anyone need Good Start or Enfamil coupons? Please email me at marinka115@hotmail if your interested

      • mingle411

I sure could use the coupons for the Good Start formula. Thank you so much. Do you still have them? It has been 6 hours and things tend to go fast on here. hehe!!

        • Marina115

I'm sorry!! :( I only have the Enfamil coupons left!

          • mingle411

Thanks anyway…We just switched him to Good Start, he is having some digestion problems. Thanks though.

          • Do you still have those Enfamil coupons by any chance????

            • Marina115

Yes I do! I was really surprised when nobody asked for them. Usually, I'll get a whole bunch of people at the same time. email me you're address and i'll send them to you!

            • OH WOW!! I thought for sure they'd be gone!! What is your e-mail address?

            • Nevermind! I see it!! :)

            • Marina115

    • Annie

Can we use the similac checks for $5 off the ready to feed formula for $4.99?

      • Melissa

Several years ago ( my youngest is 3 1/2 now) I used the formula co checks towards the small ready to feed for free formula. I would think you could still do it.

      • marysc

I did it without any problems at all.

    • deniseCLT

does anyone have any idea how much the scotch tape products cost? i am in need of some of this stuff, but don't know if it's going to be a good deal even w/the coupons…

    • Anonymous

Couldn’t find my Pedialyte coupon in SS, but if anyone needs one here is a link to the online one. I printed 2 with no problem.

      • mommydub

Thank you so much for putting up that link!! I've been trying to figure out what combination to do for the $10 ECB wyb $25 for about 30 minutes! No combo gave me super cheap stuff, but now it will! Thanks for sharing!

        • Drews_Mom

Glad I could help. Went today and got 4 Pedialyte, 2 Johnson/Johnson for $1.32 and then got the gum and contact solution for free…and got 10 ECB for next week. Yay…I love coupons!

    • Wow, what a deal, thanks for the info…

    • brodybugsmomma

Can someone tell me if this will work? I am wanting to go today and do my shopping. The current weeks ad which ends today list Soft soap body wash as B1G1 and tomorrows ad list them as buy 1 get $2.00 ECB. It also has a limit of 2. So if I wanted I could buy 2 at $4.99 use two $1.00 off coupons for a total of $2.99 and get 4 ECB back. If someone else has had luck on combining the 2 ads I would like to know. Thanks!

      • gingerinCA

If your store prints ECBS on Saturday, it should work. I did a makeup deal like that once and it worked.

        • brodybugsmomma

I tried it, but the ECB didn't print. The cashier said that the register would give me the better of the two deals but not both. I showed her where the tag was already up and she gave me ECB on 1 but not two. Still not a bad price for a soap I really like.

    • Michelle

When I used my “mystery stride coupon” it was .35c off – so may be worth trying with this gum deal if you buy one. SS 3/14

    • Michele

Does anyone know if you can use a targert store coupon or a publix store coupon at CVS and stack them with a manufactur coupon???

      • That depends on the store.. my CVS takes ALL competitors coupons but some just take the pharmacy coupons. Check with the store

      • Marie

You may want to check with the store manager. My CVS only allows competitor coupons for the pharmacy. All others they will not accept. :(

    • bettykp

Can any one tell me if I can go on line and print CVS coupons for the $3 off $15 , $4 off $20 or $5 off $25, I have gone to there web site and no Luck… I need a baby gift and Huggies would be great

    • la_ley214

Hi, my local DFW CVS stores will only allow you to use one coupon for two items if it is a B1G1 free. If I wanted to get 4 Pedialyte I could use the (2) B1G1 Pedialyte PG 3/07 but not the
      (2) -$1.50 off Pedialyte printable. It's either or but not both. they used to let us use both but not any more. The manager showed me an email that had been sent to all stores saying the practice of “coupon stacking” is not allowed and they will begin tracking coupon fraud by Extra Care cards. I was told the same thing at Kroger and Tom Thumb. Have I been doing something illegal this whole time? Are stores in your area stopping this practice as well? I didn't realize you couldn't use a 2nd coupon with a B1G1 free. I have always used a B1G1 for the free item and $ off coupon on the item you have to buy to get one free. Anyone know more information?

      • gingerinCA

I know people are awfully free-and-easy with the term “fraud.” If they're changing their policy to where they won't accept 1 coupon per item, or where they won't stack coupons (which is combining a MFR q with a STORE q,) that's fine. But they have no business implying that you are committing a CRIME (fraud) when all you've been doing is following their written store policy, which till now has been allowing you to use a BOGO and a dollar of coupon on the two items.
You have not been committing coupon fraud. In order to commit fraud of any kind, you must have an intent to decieve. You have had no intent to decieve, defraud, or do anything wrong, all you're trying to do is follow their written coupon policy. Even if you did something that wasn't in line with policy, like say accidentally giving them an expired coupon, that would still not be fraud, it would be an error. There's a very clear-cut difference between error, and fraud. I would tell the manager to be careful of what potentially legal terms he's throwing around.

PS- Jenny has a copy on here somewhere of CVS' policy regarding using 2 coupons on BOGO. I would print that out and take with, if I were you.

        • la_ley214

Thanks so much, I was really starting to get worried. I'm new to couponing so I wasn't sure. I goggled coupon fraud and saw where a woman was detained and charged at a JCPenny for fraud. When  the CVS manager told me they were tracking fraud by extra care cards, I almost threw mine out. I had trouble at Target as well. They would not take a B1G1 free plus a Target store coupon on two items. They said I could use one or the other. I used the B1G1 free, then returned the item I had to pay for (keeping the free item), then bought it again using the Target store coupon. The manger was not happy about having to make the transactions but she said it was the only way I would be able to use the manf and store coupon. Crazy that Target would rather spend all that time than just taking both in one transaction.

I appreciate your response. thanks again,

          • gingerinCA

Hey Linda, no problem. It's not so surprising about Target, because they're pretty well known for being a PITA about coupons. Most walgreen have the same kind of rep. CVS is surprising, because they are usually SOOOOOO good about being coupon-friendly. If you want to be absolutely certain whether your manager gave you good or bad information, I suggest emailing CVS corporate and telling them exactly what you were trying to purchase, what coupons, and what the manager told you as far as why they wouldn't take it. And tell them the store lcoation. They should be able to confirm or deny that corporate ever sent out that email, and tell you exactly what coupon policy is. As far as extra care cards, any club card you use tracks your purchases, but I don't think they can track your coupons, because if you look at the receipt, it just says “coupon,” so I don't think they have any way of knowing what coupon went with what item.

          • jhoran

That's one way of doing it, although I have to admit I've never had trouble with the target I go to. Maybe one thing to remember is that if you don't get it at one store, you can always find the same deal at another. Last week target had the snuggle for 3.51 and with the 3.00 q it cost .51. Well, turns out that it was in the kroger sale for 3.79.
Also, that buddy bath soap at target that everyone always have a problem with, it sells for 1.02 at kroger, travel box of bandaids and j&j first aid kit at cvs, no problem. Hope this helps.

        • jhoran

Kinda silly when you consider that when cvs has a bogo, they allow you to use 2 q's.

          • gingerinCA

Right, except that Linda said the manager told her they don't allow that any more, and implied that they were tracking this kind of activity for “coupon fraud!” That stops being silly, and starts being offensive and scary. That manager is doing something wrong, and someone should know about it.

      • jhoran

I'm assuming you're in dallas, ft worth. If you are, I'm in tx also and no such thing happened to me tonight. I got the head & shoulders, used the bogo and the 1.00/1 without a problem, so I'm not sure about this so-called e-mail that all these cvs stores are supposed to have received. I also did the covergirl last week, again no problem

    • Can anyone tell me if the Alvin in the chipmunks movie is the 1st one or the Squeakal??? Also when I purchase the movie deal if I have coupons does the price count before the coupons. You have to buy $20 in participating products of Tide, Dawn, Charmin and etc. If I bought 2 of the Charmins for 4.99 each, 2 of the Dawn for .96 each, 1 cascade for 2.99 and 1 bounty for 6.49 that totals 21.38, but I have coupons that will take the total under $20. Will I still get the deal if the coupons bring it under the amount???? Hope that makes sense

      • parker

The DVD is the Squeakal, the $20 of products is BEFORE coupons but just make sure you buy it all at one time.

        • rclay18

I have a $3 off coupon for the movie. I wonder if I can use it also? Our CVS never got The Princess and the Frog. I wanted to get the ECBs for it and then turn it in for a rebate. I got a rain check for it and I check every time I go to see if it is in, but it never is. I hope ours gets this movie.

          • rexomama

where did you get the $3.00 ? was it in the SS or RP for the movie

            • Toni

I got a $3 coupon on a fresh pineapple that I bought at Walmart.

            • rclay18

That's where I got mine. I got the DVD today for $1.99. What a great way to start Christmas shopping!

            • Shannon

Does anyone have a good scenario that they used to get the DVD?

            • rclay18

              This was my scenario
              1 Bounty toilet paper
              2 Always
              1 duracell battery
              2 dawn
              Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD

              .25 off Bounty
              b1g1 Always
              .25 off Dawn
              .50 off Dawn
3.00 off Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD from a fresh pineapple

              17.89 out of pocket

            • rclay18

Sorry, not Bounty toilet paper, that should be Bounty paper towels.

On the 5 off of 25 mailout- does it include purchases with extra care dollars? thanks, newbie

    • lisaphy

If I have a coupon for 5 dollars off 25 dollars- does that include ECB purchases?

      • kim

As long as your total is 25 before any coupons or ECBs you want to use you can use the 5 off 25 no problem!

        • Becky

If I use the $5/25 plus other coupons for the baby products deal, do I have to spend $25 before all the coupons (store & mfr) to get the ECBs?

    • Jana Lee

Has anyone tried the Dr Pepper deal yet? I did not see it listed in the ad. I went in to get the free gum tonight and they had all of their sale signs up for tomorrow already as well. I got the free gum and then went over to the soda aisle and found the sale signs for the A&W, Sunkist, and 7up, but there was no sign on the Dr Pepper. I want to pay for this with my ECBs, but I don't want to lose them if I don't get ECBs in return.

      • ask. If the others are, Dr. Pepper shoudl be as well. As they are from the same manufacturer.

        • Suemh

Dr. Pepper is distributed by different companies in different areas.

      • Beckett

No – I tried last night (ecb's for Sunday sale were ringing up)…and did not get any 3ECB so I returned… (much better deal at HT)!

Went in to CVS today and saw the sign above the Diet Dr. Pepper so I assumed they were part of the 3/$11 with 3 ECB back. After I paid I noticed that they were not included so I returned them…the CVS manager told me that next time I need to pay attention to the ad. It was Easter and I was in a good mood…so I didn't fire back…needless to say the Diet Dr Pepper is not included.

    • elainemast

I wanted to let you know that I bought a Dole pineapple at walmart & it had a $3 off coupon for the Alvin & the Chipmonks. I'm planning to uae it at CVS if they will let me… Do you think they will?

      • socoupon

If it's a manufacturer coupon, you should be able to!

      • Sangurkie

I do not see why they would not let you use the Dole coupon. You will be stacking a manu coupon with a store promotion, I got my coupon from a pineapple I purchased at BiLo and used the coupon at Target without issue last week. (It did not beep and it came off at the right spot on the receipt.) It is a coupon from Dole and not Wal-mart and it does not state you must purchase in the same transaction. I read and reread it because Target can be tough with coupons and I wanted to be prepared…lol. HTH

        • rclay18

Worked for me. I got the DVD for 1.99.

    • Do they stack store q and manufacturer q's for the same item? I got a $4.50 off the box of Pampers q last weekend and know there will be a $1.50 off pampers in the paper tomorrow. Can I use both on the same transaction?

      • gingerinCA

    • Super

Wanted to ask about the pedialyte deal. The coupons state 1 per transaction. Will I still get the $10 ECB for spending $25 on baby items if it is spread over 2 transactions?

      • couponsyay

I didn't notice the “limit one per transaction” on the Pedialyte B1G1 coupon, but the register sure did! Yes, you can spread the $25 baby item deal over two transactions (that's what I did). It keeps track of how much you've spent towards the $25 on the bottom of your receipt! Now, why didn't I think of using that B1G1 coupon in my second transaction?! Duh!

      • Becca

I went in for some of the Peidalyte this morning. I was not sure if I would be able to use more than one per transaction also, but I used multiples of both the B1G1 coupons and the $1.50/1 coupons in the same transaction with no problem at all. I was hoping to do it all in one transaction to use my $5/$25 coupon. Pedialyte is a great thing to have on hand with two little ones!

        • mandy

My CVS did not accept the $1.50/1. After she scanned the B1G1 coupons, she tried the $1.50 and it beeped…she said she couldn't accept any more coupons for those products. :(

          • aolss

I had the same issue so I split the Pedialyte into two transactions. The first one had some other items with it and everything went through just fine. However, the second one didn't go through on its own. She tried voiding the B1G1 and doing the other one first but it didn't work either so she just pushed it through since the first one had worked and she couldn't explain why this one didn't. It probably helped that she was getting ready to go on break :) I did tell her on my way out that I drive to this CVS because they are always helpful and always have stocked shelves.

    • Mike

      Also Digital prints 9c each.
Maxwell House coffee BOGO April 4 to 10th
      Edy's ice cream BOGO
Great price on Charmin bathroom tissue – $4.99 April 4 to April 10
I visited store Castleberry in Cumming – Valerie and Staff are so friendly. Great place to shop. Clean and neat.

      • maedae93

I go to that one too! They are always so nice and are always excited when you do a great job using your coupons and ECB's to get the lowest OOP!!!

        • AshleyQ

I go to this store too! I have 2 other locations that are closer to my house but go to this store becuase they are so nice and helpful, Valerie and Lauren are the best and always put a smile on my face, sometime I want to stop in just to say “Hi!” (even when I don't have something to purchase) but I know they are working!!!! Lauren was extremely helpful to me when I first started couponing and that went a long way with me! One of the first things she told me was “We LOVE our Couponers!” Way to go Valerie, Lauren and Crew!!!

      • sixsigmamom

I started going to this store too b/c they start their next week sales at 6 pm on Saturday! Love Valerie!

      • susan70032

I wish I had a CVS that was nice and friendly. I usually don't shop their because they are so rude about coupons.

    • Yacoomba

Did my CVS shopping today and I'm feeling pretty good..mostly just bought the baby items since my son will not ever need diapers and wipes right now (lol). I got
      (2) Pampers boxes of cruisers-64 ct..
      (6) 72 ct. tubs of CVS baby wipes
      (1) bag of Muchos
      (1)64 oz Cranberry/Apple Juice
      (8) Soy Joy Bars (this is an unadvertised $$$ maker-buy 4 bars and get $2ECB's).. look for the one's on clearance for $0.65 and use your coupons from the SS 3/14 B2G1
      (2) Double Pack Sunday's Papers (normally I go to the Dollar Tree-but they were late opening up).

After using CRT's, Manufacturer coupons, ECB's, and $5/$25 coupon (I used two separate cards-two transactions for those wondering). I paid $16 oop total and received $$24 ECB's total. That's an $8 profit for today (woohoo)!!!!

      I love CVS!!!!

      • couponsyay

My CVS will not accept mfr coupons with clearance items, apparently. I guess this is just the individual store and not all of CVS??!!

        • Yacoomba

Geez that sucks!! Honestly I saw the SoyJoy bars about a week or so ago on clearance and knew I had coupons, but wasn't in a rush to get any. There was a sign up that stated by 4 and get $2 but of course they had the regular priced one in the front, I pushed the boxes to the side and found the clearance bars I saw a week ago in the back. I verified they were clearance at the price checker stand to make sure; the other ones were like over a $1 a piece. This is the first time I've heard of a CVS not allowing you to use MFR coupons on clearance, the stores I frequent have always accepted my coupons. That's how I've been able to get Olay products for FREE or $1-$4 honestly (actually a lot of items). Sorry they are being picky w/ you :-(

          • couponsyay

I might check my other area CVS stores then…maybe it's just this one store!

            • Tracie

You need to call CVS Customer Service because this is not their policy.

            • Yacoomba

Yes check others ( I frequent in between three stores that pretty much know me and never have given me an hard time with my coupons). As the other posters have indicated contact customer service also to voice this- I don't see why the CVS wouldn't take the coupons (they are being reimbursed for the coupon). Good Luck!

            • Marie

That really stinks that they give you an issue. :( I, thankfully, haven't had an issue at my CVS besides (very) occasionally getting a teen who doesn't like that I have multiple transactions. However, I have followed Jenny's kind tip of stepping to the back of the line if there is one. :)

            • Yacoomba

Marie-it's Couponsyay that is having the issue. I've had nothing, but a pleasant experience except one time the young lady wouldn't let me use more than one coupon on a purchase (but it does say one per purchase so I couldn't really be mad). Sounds like they are nitpicking with her honestly. Thanks for the sympathy and empathy though (lol).

            • jhoran

Reminds me of the time when I went to another cvs that I don't normally go to. The manager almost had a heart attack when I bought the big bottles of herbal essence for 3.00 on clearance, used my q for 1.00/1 and then the q for buy herbal essence and get styler free. Of course, she started muttering 'coupon fraud' but I didn't pay any attention to her! She said that she would let the purchase slide this time and would you know she ended up not ringing up 3.00 because she didn't know how to do the transaction properly. No biggie though since I got a good deal.

            • Yacoomba

Oh good grief- in no shape or form do I see where the coupon fraud is..if so someone please point it out to me. The cashiers I go to actually praise the good deals that I get and state that's the way to do it! I tell you some people (lol)

            • jhoran

Yacoomba, You sound like such a practical, no nonsense down-to-earth person. Most of the time, you gotta do just that – LOL

            • Yacoomba

I am pretty all of the above I guess- lol. The crazy cashier sucking her teeth should use her Sherlock Holme skills on the real culprits and leave us alone (shouting and giggling at the same time). Does she not realize she could get a great deal too-it's not limited to just you and I. I better she could even get a better deal with her CVS discount…she better start using that noggin of hers (lol). After all my silliness has subsided (boy did I need that it's been a rough day at work).

            • jhoran

You're all of the above and funny to boot!!! LOL

        • Marie

Hmm.. It might just be your individual store. I've used mfr coupons on clearance items at both CVS' near me.

        • Amanda

My store does not allow it either on clearance. They mark the UPC code out with a marker and then manually key in the clearance price as a taxable item. They say that is why they cannot accept the coupon – because the register wont recognize it. Dont know why that matters, but its what they do.

    • Marie

      Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!

    • Amy J.

Did my CVS shopping trip this morning…….the in-store red scanner/coupon thingy was out of service…..my first thought was “oh, no, i'm not going to get my CVS Q for $3 off $15!”…..then i went to the register with just the Stride gum for 99cents, and lo-and-behold, the Q printed as well as my quarterly ECB's :-)

so i spent $2.36 total OOP this morning (including the gum transaction) and also got Irish Spring Body Wash, Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Cream, Colgate Total and Colgate Pro Clinical. :-)
I now have $12.50 in ECB's for my next CVS adventure :-) Debated making another CVS trip this week…..but I think I might hang onto them for next week……decisions, decisions…LOL!

    • teemac7410

Question… If you are at CVS and have manufacturer's coupon for B1G1 and also have coupon for .75 cents off, can you use both of these coupons at checkout?

      • Marie

If you are buying two of the item, you can use them both. For example, this week, I bought 2 of the Head & Shoulders. I used a $1 coupon (off of the first shampoo) and then I had another coupon to get the second free. Essentially, the coupon for BOGO is really discounting the second item to free so you can still use a coupon for the first. Also, from my understanding, -someone please correct me if I am wrong-, but if the store has a sale for BOGO, you can still use 2 coupons because you are buying two items.

        • I tried to do the Pedialyte BOGO with the $1.50 this morning and the machine beeped no matter what we tried and they didn't want to let me use the $1.50. I argued enough that in the end they gave it to me (I think fussy baby helped), but I didn't think it was supposed to be an issue! Does it vary store by store?

          • Ashley

In my experience at CVS, the $1.50 Q has to be used first before BOGO, or it will beep.

            • Shelly

I went today and did the deal too. I gave the 2 $1.50 off first, then the BOGOs. The second BOGO beeped and they wouldn't take it. It was pretty upsetting because I was excited about the sweet deal.

            • Shelly, it may have been because the Pedialyte BOGOs say 'limit 1 per transaction'. Usually coupons say limit 1 per purchase, and honestly I didn't think twice about it until I saw someone mention it on another blog and sure enough it's there!

          • Suemh

Wasn't the 1.50 Q off 2? That would probably be why it would not go through. That would be using 2 mfg q's on the same item (the free one). Unless you were buying 2 & getting 2 free. If it had been 1.50 off one, you probably would not have had a problem.

    • Lisa

When I went to CVS today, they had a sign at the register stating only 2 transactions per customer. I normally do it all in one transaction anyway, 2 on a rare occasion, but I know multiple transactions is the key to CVS shopping for many of you.

      • Marie

Really? My CVS doesn't really mind. They are usually pretty short transactions and I'll leave the line to the back if there is anyone behind me. I know there are some who don't.

      • Judy

I sometimes go back to the pharmacy and do a transaction back there esp. if I am buying items from that area/want to pay with my flex account card.

    • Dawn

There is a $3 off coupon for the movie on fresh Dole pineapple.

    • fparker20

Does anyone know if CVS will except an expired coupon with a rain check? I had to get a rain check on the huggies on last wk sale and now my coupons expire today. I checked back with them today and they are still out of stock. Could not find their policy online.

      • Suemh

They took one from me that was 1 day expired. I think that as long as you use it before Saturday, they will probably take it. They close their week on Saturday.

      • Mamaberry

YMMV – my store is awesome…they've taken up to a week expired for me. They have up to 6 months to submit for reimbursement so just ask!

      • DonnaTN

I had that problem with the Pampers deal from the week before and my coupons expired on the 31st. The cashiers were really great about it and said they would just push it through and come back the next day since they weren't getting their truck in until then so when I went in the next day and he scanned my coupon, he didn't even have to push it through b/c the system just took it. I asked about expired coupons and until how long they would accept them and he said a week after the exp. date.

      • guest

It's up to the individual store. They are not required to take your expired coupon just b/c you have a raincheck, however some stores are nice and will take a recently expired coupon to keep the customer happy b/c it probably doesn't hurt the store to take it for you. They have a certain window of time in which they can accept an expired coupon and still be reimbursed for it. Many stores do choose to be more strict and not accept any expired coupon at all, but some are more customer-friendly and will take it for you. You just have to ask at your individual store. Also, there will always be more Huggies coupons, so if your store won't take your expired coupon, just hold onto your raincheck until you get new coupons. :) Your other option is that you could go to the store to use your raincheck today, and purchase the 'wrong' size Huggies. You could then return to the store when they have the correct size in-stock and exchange the 'wrong' ones for the 'right' ones. Most stores are quite friendly about exchanging for the exact same product just in a different size. Many don't even ask for a receipt.

      • Misty

You should talk to them, and make sure they know that everytime you have come in they have not restocked yet.

    • Amy

The B1G1 Pedialyte coupon is in the SS, not PG for 3/7. . . in case anyone else was having trouble finding it like me!

    • Lauren

FYI If you scan your card at the red coupon checker and get a $6 off Prevacid 24hr, any, there is also a $6 off 14ct Prevacid (sorry not sure which insert) that makes the 14 ct Prevacid (reg. $12.99) only $0.99!!!

    • wh1skeyg1rl

I have a question about this deal…I have a coupon for $2.00 off one Pedialyte product. Why couldn't I use that coupon instead of the $1.50/2?

      (4) Pedialyte products $4.99 ea
      (2) Johnson’s Baby Care Products $2.99 ea
      (2) B1G1 Pedialyte PG 3/07
      (2) -$1.50 off Pedialyte printable
      (2) -$1 off Johnson’s printables
      Total Due: $10.96
Get Back: $10 ECB, makes it 16¢ each!

      • kelley

You can use the 2.00 off instead of the 1.50 off. Makes a better deal for you!

    • Judy

Dashed into CVS this afternoon to pick up the freebies, and when I paid for my Complete solution my quarterly ECB's printed…WOO HOO! $15 more to spend changed my plan. I decided to use it to get sunblock for the beach next month, and I found Neutrogena sunblock products not only on sale but generating $5 ECB wyb $15 of products. This was a better deal than the Aveeno. Was this unadvertised? So, I ended up with lots of goodies for almost nothing :)

      • colagirl

I see that in NEXT week's CVS ad, but not this week's. Maybe your store keyed it in early or something. Sounds like a great deal!

        • Kristie

My CVS is doing the same thing. I didn't see it in any adds, but it was clearly marked on the shelves. $5 ECB wyb $15 worth of products.

      • Brooke82

        What are the quarterly ECB's?

        • Brooke82

Nevermind, I see that someone already posted something about them!

    • mandycummings

Select packages of life savers have $1 coupon. They are on sale for $1 each.

    • Joel

Anyone know how much the HP printer cartridges are at CVS?

      • Amy J.

my local CVS ad says with a regular retail of $19.99 and up. HTH!

    • lynn8808

I'm just starting out shopping at CVS and got my first $3 ECB last week. My question is can I use my ECB with the CVS coupon (such as the $2 off a baby purchase of $10) or are these both considered store Q's? Thanks!

      • Amy J.

Yes, you should be able to use both. The way my local CVS works is they'll take the coupons (like your baby purchase one) and they'll also take the ECB's. HTH (hope that helps)

      • guest

Yes, CVS's official policy is that you may use up to 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer's coupon per item, and you may use as many ECBs as you need to b/c they do not consider an ECB to be a coupon since you have EARNED it through previous purchases – they are treated like cash as far as the register is concerned. :)

    • Michelle

I just went to do the baby deal…..CVS wouldn't let me use the $1.50 coupons in conjunction with the B1G1 Free Pedialyte coupons. It was still a good deal….I also had $5.50 in ECB's so I paid $5 and change and got the $10 ECB's back. Has anyone else had a problem using $$ coupons in conjunction with B1G1 free coupons at CVS? She “tried' to get them to scan but the system wouldn't take it. Also, my CVS takes competitor coupons!! Woo Hoo

      • Yes, I have had issues with that this week, too.

      • Drews_Mom

You have to give them the 1.50 off first and then the B1G1 or the system will not take it…my poor cashier did the opposite and I asked him to ring it up again the right way…he fussed a little and said it wouldn't work, but it did! Instead of saying I told you so, I decided to just hold my tongue and thanked him LOL

      • Michelle

Thanks! I will have to remember that…..I had no idea. I usually just hand them a whole stack…guess I'll have to not do that when I come into this situation again.

    • Trace

I'm new at this. Help me out please. What are ECB's? And how does it work?

      • Sangurkie

Hi Trace, Jenny has “getting started guides” to help newcomers. It is the third tab on top and has a drop down menu. CVS has its own guide. HTH

        • Trace

          Thank you Sangurkie

    • Is the deodorant deal limit 2 or 3? I got 2, but it doesn't say limit reached on my receipt, it says I have one more to reward. I do have one coupon left, so I was thinking of going back and trying it again, but don't want to waste the coupon if it won't work!

      • jhoran

Ok, as long as it says you have one more reward you are good to go.

        • Great, thanks. It's the only brand we use, so happy to get it at a good price!

    • Anonymous

another great RX free item is at http://www.breatheright.com You get two samples!

    • mommydub

Thank you so much for putting up that link!! I've been trying to figure out what combination to do for the $10 ECB wyb $25 for about 30 minutes! No combo gave me super cheap stuff, but now it will! Thanks for sharing!

    • April

I got a $5 off $25 in my email but I didn't open the email until after the coupon expired… sigh, how strict is CVS with expiration dates? Am I out of luck?

      • Suemh

They will usually take them for a few days. It's worth a try! I have used them like that before.

      • kpojero

I got the same coupon that expired on Sunday and used it yesterday with no problems. Its worth a try.

      • socoupon

I've been able to use mine the day after!

      • CVS is usually good about honoring their coupons for at least a week after they expire. I have used email $/$$ and coupons from the lovely red machine many times and they have no problem with the expiration date.

      • within the same week they will take them, usually. USUALLY!! My local store does, but I stopped inn at a different but local store and asked, they refused! I left and took my business to my usual store.

        • leahnicole1444

I got one too, and was actually out of town when it expired. Good to know that maybe I could still use it. Should I say something about it, or just hand it to them?

          • I would ask when you arrive, so that you will know. Ask the mgr. We also tried using a $/$$ coupon that printed out from about a week and a half ago and the register refused it. but, the ones from email they have always taken during that week after.

    • I got my quarterly ECB…. and it was a whopping $1!! LOL!! I spend soooo little OOP that for 3 months worth of weekly shopping, it earned me a buck.

      • Suemh

i got 50¢ on my card and $1 on my husband's. I think thats a good thing!

        • dianebenatar

I got 50 cents, too. (I guess people don't use cents much – I couldn't find the symbol anywhere! LOL)

        • I agree, it is a good thing! I love getting so many free items from CVS!

    • kristen

      what is ECB?

      • Solmom13

ECB= extra care bucks. its a coupon that prints out when you are finished with your transaction. =)

      • Take the time to read the Getting Started tab at the top of this page. Will give you all of the beginner info you need.

    • JosephD21

To those who do not know if you go into CVS and they do not have the Complete contact solution for 8.99 in stock you can get a rain check to get the same price with the ECB 8.99 back when they get it in stock. I went to 3 stores Sunday and finally the third store the cashier told me that they could do a RAINCHECK and I could get it when the re-stock it. I have been checking around and notice you have to ask about the Rainchecks hopefully this will help you out.

      • Amanda

Also, rainchecks never expire at CVS, so you can wait for a good coupon before cashing them in also. Did this with a toothbrush last month and this month got a coupon for $2 off that toothbrush – instantly making my raincheck a $2 moneymaker!!

    • JosephD21

      *********HELPFUL INFO***************
I went into CVS looking for the Contact Solutions for 8.99 and get back 8.99 in ECB. I went to four stores and all of them were out. Finally the 4th store I went to said that they would give me a rain check so I could get the deal when the items are back in stock. The cashier told me that they usually do not give them out unless asked. So hopefully this will help some people out. ASK FOR RAINCHECKS!!!

I am a rookie coupon mom and I don't quite understand the 4 different transactions that are given in the above example. Are you saying that I should make 4 different trips to CVS during the week, or just stand there at the register and tell the cashier that I am going to make several different purchases…will they let you do that, w/o paying it all at once?

      • Suemh

Yes, it means that you do 4 different transactions during the same visit. However, it is recommended that you go to the end of the line after each transaction if there are people behind you.

My add doesn't list the Huggies as part of the baby care deal. Does that mean they're just not included in my area? (Tallahassee, FL)

    • bravo375

Has anyone had problems with the Alvin and the Chipmunks deal? I bought over $20 worth of qualifying products before coupons and it did not give me my $15 ECB. Luckily, the store manager was my cashier, and he tried several scenarios before finally giving up and manually giving me the $15 ECB because he could not figure out why it would not pring. Maybe the $20 is after coupons??

      • socoupon

Hey – I don't believe it gives you ECBs – I haven't done this transaction yet, but I'm assuming you have to purchase all the products that get you the $15 off, plus you have to buy the DVD in one transaction, and then the register will take the $15 off the purchase amount. At least that's the way I understood it.

        • bravo375

That's what I thought as well, but it did not do either when I got to the register, so the manager was puzzeled and pulled out the ad and he said it was supposed to give you the $15 back in ECB, so he manually printed the ECB for me.

          • socoupon

Really? Good to know…I'm going to go try it tonight…so hopefully they have everything I need…will update on how it goes!

      • socoupon

Hi! I went and did this scenario last night – and it worked like I assumed. I bought all the P&G products to total $20+ and also bought the DVD in the same transaction. The register took off the $15 automatically. Guess it varies by store?

    • KeriannRN

Hi all! I'm brand-new to the couponing at CVS and I'm about to make my first trip! I just have a question about B1G1 deals. I have a B1G1 coupon for both Tampax and Always and a $1/1 and $2/1 for each. Can I use the $1 and $2/1 coupons with that B1G1 deal? If so, do the coupons need to be scanned in a certain order?

      • bravo375

You will need to give them the $1 off coupon then the BOGO coupon for it to work correctly.

        • KeriannRN

Thanks! Do you know if that works at Target?? They have a deal too on those products. I've heard they can be difficult…

    • Lisa

Did not receive a $3 ECB for my Dr. Pepper purchase today and it's not listed in the sales flier. Is this a misprint?

      • It seems that Dr. Pepper is one of those brands that depends on your locale. Some places it is associated with one manufacturer and other states with another. Ask your store.

    • kathylq

Just got a great deal on Pampers Cruisers and J&J baby shampoo and bubble bath at CVS. Pampers on sale for 19.99 used $2 Q and when I scanned my card at the price checker got an additional $4.50 off Pampers. After last weeks $7 ECB and another store promo for $2 off $10 baby purchase, I paid $10 for all three items. YEE HAW!

    • Went back in today to use my last coupon for deodorant (that deal seems to keep on going – after 3 it still shows I can buy more, but I'm out of coupons!). Anyway, when I gave the guy my bag tag, he gave me a hard time because it wasn't a CVS bag and said after this week they would only accept them on CVS bags but he'd do it for me today. Anyone else heard this?

      • Annie

The ad itself states that you can use 'any' reusable bag! I've been using a target bag for the past three months and never had an issue. Sometimes the cashier will scan my tag even when I don't have a bag! I would check CVS's policy on that and bring it to his attention.

        • The tag itself says ANY reusable bag . . . The bag I had was a Walgreens bag that I got free for Earth Day last year. If CVS gives me a free bag, I'm willing to change it. I'm going to switch my tag to a more generic bag and see if I get the comment again . . .

    • Coupongurl

Make sure you check to see if they still have the Alvin and the Chipmunk DVD. Our store was sold out and said they were not getting anymore in. What if I had not checked first and bought all those products to get the deal!!??

    • Robynne in TN

Does anyone know about a $5 ECB wyb $15 John Freida products? It is being reported on other couponing websites (they also say that you get the ECBs even if you only spend $14.97, which is the price for 3 shampoos or conditioners ($4.99 each)). I can't find it in the ad and was wondering if anyone has done this? AND received the ECBs after only spending $14.97 (FYI: there are $3/1 John Freida shampoo/conditioner coupons in SS 3/7, expiring on 4/10, making the products $.32 each IF the ECBs print when you spend $14.97). Thanks!

      • I read it on two other sites last evening and while I did not do it myself, I did see the ECB sign on John Frieda this week. Definitely worth trying out!!

        • Robynne in TN

          I did this myself today – it worked! 3 John Frieda products, $14.97 before coupons, $5 ECBs, 3 – $3/1 coupons means I paid about $.33 a bottle! :)

      • jhoran

I'm not sure on the 14.97 deal, but the 3.00 q expires on 4/10 and if that's the case, I would say go for 4, pay 19.96, use (4) 3.00/1 q, get back the 5 ebc and cost would be .74 ea. There's supposed to be a 2.50q out there, but a lot of trouble finding it and the deal for that is supposed to come out on the 18th. You can check the blogs under “a few hot coupons”

      • SweetDenia

If you go to their website and register, you can get a coupon for $2.50. Here's the link: http://www.johnfrieda.com/index.asp

The new Schick Hydro that comes out on Friday is also going to be at Wags next weekend sale. Sale 7.99, get 5RR, you pay 2.99, and if you get the matching cartridges you'll receive 3 extra RR's. Also, the Schick Hydro Shave Gel will be FREE. Sweet!!!

    • lisalayton11

I'm new to CVS…went today. How do I know exactly how many ECB's I have when I'm done shopping? Is it supposed to be printed on my receipt somewhere, or do I have to go in the store and scan my bar code receipt? Thanks…

      • 3monkeysmom

Your ECBs will print on the bottom of your receipt if you have bought the qualifying product(s) to earn them. You also get quarterly ECBs. You get back a percentage of what you've spent per quarter, I think it's 2%. These ECBs can either be printed on-line, if you've registered your card online, or you can scan your card on the price checker/coupon printer in the store and it will print there or it will print on the bottom of your reciept like a regular ECB.
        Hope that helps!!

      • The ECBs print out at the bottom of your rec't. IF you bought the correct items or amoount. If you feel that you did and they did not print, always ask the mgr!! They are coupon friendly and will help figure it out!

Make sure you read the Getting Started link at the top of this page!!

First time at CVS trying to use ECB's. Still using the extra card my Mom gave me, so I get the benefit of her purchases. Didn't try a lot of purchases yet, but still did ok…I think.

      • NewHere

I'm new trying to do this…what does it mean when you say PG 4/04 for a coupon? Do I have to go and print it from somewhere?

        • Make sure you read the link Getting Started at the top of this post!
PG means Proctor Gamble insert and 4/4 is the date it was in the paper.

      • They take ECBs like $, so use as many as you'd like each time.

    • New To SS – Loving It!

Have ya'll seen the green bag tag? You pay $.99 for it and attach it to a reusable bag, then every 4th trip (one per day) you get $1 ecb back. I thought it was a good deal as much as we are using CVS. (sorry if I am late and this is old news!)

      • Ashley

Yes, it's been around for a long time now. I got mine a couple months ago and have used it 19 times now. Pretty cool.

    • kendriac

Does anyone know if I am buying something that is B1G1 from CVS, can I use 2 coupons?

      Thank you!!!

    • BB

Does anyone else think that the P&G $100 coupon booklet is not that great? After looking at the list of products and the $ amount of the coupons it just does not seem like it is any thing that special. Am I wrong?

    • marcitruman

I went to CVS yesterday and the cashier said they no longer accept printed coupons. I left. Should I go to another CVS? It made me feel like I was being dishonest–It was for the pedialite and I was there with my 3 kids–it was crazy.

    • mom of two great boys

Wow! The savings I got last night at CVS!!!!! I went in and printed off my ECB, I had $25.00 worth. I had no idea how many I had. I planned on spending $20.00 and getting $11.00 in ECB back for my second transaction. I ended up getting three deodorants, toothpaste, Dimetap, two shampoos, a can of hairspray and a conditioner for .97. I then used my ECB to buy two things of Pedialyte and four baby washes along with wipes and baby powder. I used my ECB plus paid $11.45 but received $10.00 in ECB for next week!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!

    • jennifer

i went to cvs today and got the pedialite deal. they hadan issue using 2 $1.50 off of one coupon along with 2 b1g1 coupons. they told me it was because of the coupon to item ratio. anyone else have this issue?

    • sheri

Does anyone know where to get the $20 off Olay Pro-X? I'd like to do it today since it's the last day, but want to make sure I know how to get it! Thanks!

    • Tracy

Can someone please tell me what all the abbreviations are for the coupons, like PG, SS, etc.

      • DonnaTN

PG=Proctor & Gamble, SS= Smartsource, RP=Red plum those are the insert names you receive in the newspaper

    • lynn

Went to CVS today to exchange the expired Neutrogena sunscreen I picked up yesterday. Scanned my EC card and got a $2/1 Fruitopia printed cp and there was a free CVS Pharmacy Big Savings coupon flyer that also has the $2/1 Fruitopia (but only one per customer). Got a bottle of shampoo and conditioner for $1 total.
