does CVS take expired coupons? if it only 1 day expired?

      • barbara

mine would not-but said call corp and they might reprint-I did not call-wish I had

      • savinginKY

I've only done it once, but I told the cashier my coupon was expired by 2 days, and they still took it.

      • rhonda

It depends on how nice your cashier is.

      • MaryT

My store doesn't — seems it depends on the store, manager and cashier. Worth a question!

      • ScottK

3 times my cashiers/managers have let me use expired. When I went on vacation in early July, I had a survey extra buck for $10, a coppertone $10 extra buck, and a $4 body wash extra buck all expire. There wasn't a CVS in walking distance in LA and so that $24 seemed to be wasted, but they let me use them, happily too. I love my CVS. Usually just ask nicely, but don't let it get too far away.

      • kelli

my store will take them for a week after expiration.

      • Bev

My store manager in Charlotte, NC said it's absolutely no problem for them to accept a store coupon that's expired a week past date. So I'm guessing it's on a store-by-store basis whether a manager will accept it or not.

    • LeAnnaShaw

glad I read this-I was going to go use my sobe q's on the .88 sale. B1G1 next week= free sobes…LOVE it!!! Thanks!

    • regina

If the sales starts 8/1 why are they putting coupons in that expire 7/31? Are we still allowed to use them?

      • Really??

Please read the first 3 lines of the post and you will know!

      • Melissa

Some stores let you shop Sunday sales on Sat and the coupons won't be expired on Sat.

      • Paige

Jenny put at the top that most stores that are not 24 hours start their sale the day before (Sat. the 31st) and you will be able to use those coupons.

Even a few 24 hours start there sale early. I know mine start at 11 pm :) so if not there by 12 am they out of stuff already.

      • Robandfaye99

You can shop the Sunday sale on Saturday after 6pm in most CVS stores. This is the only time you can get deals from two weeks at one time. The only thing is you have to know what the sale is for both weeks because the store won't have the signs out on the products for each sale ad.

      • Riley

Read the start of the post.

      • regina

thanks everyone for the great response. I need to do better homework next time and pay attention what jenny puts out there

    • Kathy

Do you ever speak to high school classes? I teach an Honors Algebra II course that focuses the honors work on financial literacy. One of my projects is to teach basic budgeting skills. I thought that since you have taken the town by storm it might be fun to incorporate your program into a family project. Interested in getting the next generation on board? I have sent you an email with my contact information. Hope to hear from you!

      • Queennana0725

Kathy I have a 15 yr old grandson who opened a new box of Crest Strips and came running in to tell that he'd found a coupon in the box! He KNOWS that you have to have a coupon to buy something! (he gets this from his Nana…)

        • Kb

if my 3 year old son sees something while we are shopping…I say, oh sweetie, we can't get that now….we dont have a coupon. and he sys….ok, we'll get one!

          • Jeanniet

Haha! My kids ask 'mom, do you have a coupon for this cereal' before they even ask if they can get it. At Target this week, PopTarts are $1.88 and I NEVER buy PopTarts. I saw my daughter looking at them as she walked over to look in the cart at my stack of coupons. I knew what she was doing so I said 'you want those PopTarts' and she was wide eyed and said 'do you have a coupon'? I told her to get them anyway. She was thrilled and talked about it to my husband. Guess it's the little things……

            • Immaculate888

You can get poptarts this week at Publix for 66 cents a box!!!! They are B1G1 and there is a $1 off 2 coupon! I got 6 boxes! Definitely stock up on those if your kids like them!

    • Will the last scenario work since Crest and Gillette are both P&G products?

      • You can use ECB's on any products or deals. It's Walgreens that we have to worry about brands.

    • Guest

I am excited that there is not a limit on the sobe I went in today and talked to my manager he said the had a lot so I would not need to order any I have been playing the heads or tails game all week

      • Shannon

let me get this right…. if I have 2 b1g1 sobe q do I get 4 free or do I get 3 free and need to pay for the 4th.

        • Pinkandblackcrazy

          you would get four free

      • ScottK

are you sure it's not limited? It's almost always limit 6.

        • Pinkandblackcrazy

if you look at simply CVS ad scan it does not say there is a limit on the ad

        • Bryarsmom

Get ready to rumble with the Sobe's!!!
Hope you've been printing on multiple pc's for lots of Q's.
          Play every day!

        • Jessica

Has anybody else had this problem? I printed 2 BOGO q’s from the Sobe game, went into my CVS, picked up 2 SOBE’s, went to the register, scanned my CVS card, gave her the q’s, and she said only one would go through. Her next response was “You can’t get both for free.” It irritates the heck out of me when cashiers say that…it’s not like I’m stealing from them! I said yes I can actually, you’re paying for one, and the manufacturer is paying for one. She just refused to do anything but be rude about it, so I gave her one back. I paid the .03 cents tax on 1, took my coupon, and left.

    • Lynnepooh2u

i like the idea about being able to shop on saturday night but my store told me that i could buy the next week's sale items but the ECBs would not print on saturday night. does anyone else have this issue or is it store by store?

      • Nicki

I had no idea my store did the Saturday night thing until last Saturday. She had to manually print the ECBs, but it was her idea and I didn't complain or insist.

      • Kelley

The ECBs do print on Saturday at my store. Sometimes if a sale overlaps the computer will honor one ECB deal and not the other. This happened to me once (week one deal was for 3 ECB and week 2 deal was for 8 ECB). They had to print my bucks to make up the difference. The 3 day specials (Sun, Mon, Tues only) do not work on Saturday.

    • Pinkandblackcrazy

last week I got a 4off20 coupon and printed and used it but was allowed to print 2 can I use another one this week

      • ireneY

It's tied to your card, so the second one will beep.

    • Shannon

Okay here is my senerio if i made an error let me know

      (3) Crest Pro-Health 1 liter $3.99

      TOTAL DUE 2.19

    • Michelle

Does anyone know how the B1G1 for the head and shoulders works. The coupon says it covers up to 4.75. Can you still use the coupon? Do you have to pay the difference? Do you think the cashiers even look at that?

      • Shannon

I used the B1G1 a while back when it was 5.99 a bottle and the cashier took 5.99 off even though it said up to 4.75…I think it just depends on who you get working that morning.

      • alibcat

I used the B1G1 recently, as well. The cashier did not notice that the max value was $4.75, but I told her so she could reduce it. I don't think they get paid any more than the max value on the coupon.

      • Margaret

I have used a B1G1 that stated a max value like that before, and I did have to pay the difference. I didn't mind though; it is what the coupon said. Just plan on going in to pay the extra few cents.

    • Michelle

Anyone know how much the sobe costs?

      • Jessica

        $1.59 at my local store.

      • Carolinagirl1988

How does using the BYG1 coupon make both free?

        • Katie B

It's CVS's coupon policy that using a BOGO coupon on an item that is on sale for BOGO gets you both items for free. The coupon pays for the one that you are supposed to buy. The store is giving you one, and the manufacturer is giving you the other, it's pretty sweet, all you pay is tax. Using a coupon is like writing a check, the store is getting paid for their one, it shouldn't matter to them how they get paid, by you or the manufacturer.

      • momof2inatl

In Atlanta, it is usually $1 per bottle. I believe Publix has it on sale for 88 cents per bottle this week. Most likely a better deal. Just refer to Jenny's grocery store lists for this week and you can find the 88 cent price.

      • Bryarsmom

Really doesn't matter in this case-both will be free when using all your fabulous Heads or Tails B1G1 Q's!
CVS is THE place to get 'em this week-nothing beats FREE!!!
Play every day to win the Q's-I've got about 40 ready to rock.

        • Bamacat

What is the Heads or Tails B1G1 Q's???

          • Amt1218

Its a game on the Sobe website you play to win coupons or prizes. I play nearly everyday and have only won B1G1 free coupons. You can get 2 a day.. just hit your back button 3 or 4 times after you print the first coupon. Also, I just found out if you get sick of playing the silly little game ( which isn’t bad the first few times) then instead go here: http://www.sobe.com/coupons The you don’t have to play the game.
I’m still curious to see if they will set a limit on how many you can get for free. The last time I was able to get 12 free total.

    • Queennana0725

Thank you Jenny! I had checked for the new CVS ad a couple of times and there it was! I'm all printed and ready to rumble….right on in to my favorite CVS!

    • ScottK

I got another email for $4 off $20. This is like 3 weeks in a row, how awesome!

I'll probably double up on tooth paste, yet another razor, sobe and gatorade (as usual) and pay almost nothing. I LOVE CVS.

      • CC

how did you do that? For about 2 wks I had lost my wallet and my original coupon was in there…luckily a store called me about it and I finally got to use it yesterday but in the meanwhile they said at the store that there was no other way to get it. …….let me know how you did…thanks

    • Heidi

With the P&G deal and the free Bounty. Would they let me use a coupon on the Bounty?

      • Bryarsmom

        Of course you can.
A few weeks ago we were using not only the P&G $1. Bounty Q's but also the CVS ones the CSO spit out.

    • momof3inatl

Jenny: There is also a $15 rebate on ANY Neutrogena Clinical Product.

      • Dianne

Can you share more about this one? Thanks!

    • Peg

Help. I think i attatched my cvs reciept to a rebate….I did not cut off my ECB (7.99). Is there anywhere I can go to reprint

      • guest

You should be able to go to cvs.com and log into your account (or create one) and reprint it from there.

        • LB514

You can't print of ECB from the website that you get on the weekly ad deals. You can only print your quarterly ECB from the website. I am going to try what CVSMAN2002 suggested above and call the toll free number for my lost ECB.

          • EHELMS81

I was told on the 1-800 that theY COULD ONLY RESET QUARTERLY ONES AS WELL.

      • melissa

You should be able to go to cvs.com and log into your account (or create one) and reprint it from there.

      • Lynneweeks

if you log in to cvs.com with your card number you can prit your ecb from there

      • Kelli

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you have registered your card online on the cvs website you can reprint your ecbs. If you haven't registered your card online yet you should do it anyway for the coupons. Hope it works out for you.

      • Cvsman2002

All you have to do is call 1-800-SHOP-CVS and they will reset it so the next time you purchase something, it will print again. You will need your extra care card.

        • LB514

THANK YOU for that info! I lost $10 ecb that I got on the recent olay deal. I will call them asap!

        • Peg

          Thank You CVSMAN

    • Deanna Lewis

Hey everyone. My CVS said they are no longer allowing “pre-shopping” on Saturday night. She said the company has discontinued it. The sales use to go through automatically at 6 on Saturday but they no longer do. She let me shop but she had to discount everything by hand and print my ECB by hand also. It took forever!!!!!!

      • Cvsman2002

(former CVS Manager) My bet is that what you were told was a decision that that one manager or perhaps the district manager of that area made. CVS wants all the ad set before opening on sunday and most likely any other CVS has their ad activated. I activated my ad at 12 noon on sat just so i could get it all set before closing. Most managers activate at 4. Try a different store.

        • LB514

My CVS activates the new ad on Saturday at 7am (1 hour before opening!). I was told it automatically updates in their system at that time. I shop in Childersburg, AL.

      • Guest

Not to be a hog or trying to “beat” the system because I have only done this once, several weeks ago…but when they have to do it by hand (which does take forever), the limit didn't get “pinged” so I was able to do the deal twice in that week even though there was a limit of one (it was on Pampers diapers several weeks ago).

      • PaigeP

I tried to do this the Sat. after Memorial Day (b/c I'd done it in the past, and it worked), I tried to do this at my CVS (69S in Tuscaloosa, AL) and was told that after holidays, the “week” is usually messed up. The manager said I should never be able to get ECB for the next week on Saturday, but I knew I'd done it before (I just didnt' say anything :) ). Last Saturday, I did my “dual” week” shopping again just to see, and it worked just fine. Got both “sales” and the ECB for both weeks. I'm guessing it just depends on location…..

      • LeAnnaShaw

my store told me this ages ago…and truthfuly-I think that is fair. If the add says sunday and I go in first thing-I would be peeved that the sat shoppers got the deals. But I am all about rules….so what else is new w/ me..lol

    • The Carrolls

Does anyone know what zip to use for the scotch pop up tape dispenser ($1 off)??

    • Sandy

Does anyone in Savannah know if there are any CVS stores in the area that offer this week's deals and next week's deals on Saturday night? Thanks :)

      • joanna00

I would love to know this, as well! The CVS at Berwick offered this one time, but when I tried it again, the cashier told me that the one time was a fluke (something with their computer system). We'll see!

    • Fgavent

Does anyone know the price of the Gold Emblem Apple Juice or Fruit Punch 64 oz., B1G1? THANKS!

    • AllieCat

I did my shopping at two different cvs stores this week. One in Irmo, the cashier was not very nice….and said to me “so you think you gonna get this for free?”.. I said, no ma'am, I'm simply trying to save a few bucks.” I was using the Glad raincheck for the 2/$5. She wanted to argue with me that I could not get windex, or the shout with this raincheck. So, needless to say she called the manager over at least 3 or 4 times. I was ready to explode, but I didn't. I had my kids with me, so I'm gonna write to cvs. The other cvs in Lexington I shopped at this week. She was very pleasant, but she did state when I was handing her my coupons, that they were making some changes. No more competitor coupons. She stated too many people have been taking advantage of it. I said I'm just trying to save a few bucks… She was very nice, though..

      • Cvsman2002

Calling 1-800-SHOP-CVS is THE best way to take care of any problems you have with a store. Trust me, as a very former CVS manager, CVS takes those calls very serious and many times the DM or store manager is told to call customer and offer up a CVS gift card.

        • AllieCat

I will do that. Thank you…

        • Michelle

I made a complaint online and the DM called me and apologized and assured that the training store manager had been re-trained on the problem that I had. He also sent a $10 CVS gift card for my trouble. Very nice and I have not had any further problems going back into that same store!

          • Jessica

Where did you make the complaint online?

            • Jessica

Never mind, I found the contact info.

      • Mccoarts

On those type rainchecks where you can get more than 1 item I always cut out that piece of the ad and staple it to the raincheck. Then they can see exactly what was included. These rainchecks never expire and sometimes it takes a while for them to get the product in,so this can be very helpful.

      • Anne

I love the Lexington and Red Bank store! The only CVS I have not cared for so far was the one in Batesburg.

      • RachelM

I live beside the CVS in Irmo and I will drive to any other CVS. It seems like they don't like any coupons there. Even Manufacturers and they all have attitudes about it! It is such a shame because I love CVS. Just not that location! I have taken my business elsewhere since day 1!

      • Guest

Most CVS don't take competitor coupons. A another thing I would do is use your CVS rain checks for the location you got them them from.

      • The only time I have problems taking rainchecks is when the originating store wasn't specific. I agree with Mccoarts – you will have fewer troubles if you take the portion of the ad with you that you are using.

    • ireneY

I wonder what qualifies as Conair appliance? Online, the category included hair pins and rollers. In the ad, the pic shows curling irons and flat irons. Eager to see what's psa $4.99 at the store!

    • Lucy

Wondering if I go shopping Sat night can I combine both weeks together for the P&G deal? For instance, buy the pampers and get the 10 ecb from this week and also the free bounty for next week? Does that make sense? Also the photo book was $7.99 with 7.99 ecb this week. Next week it is B1G1, so can I get two for free? Just wondering how that works when shoppoing on Sat night and overlapping ads.

      • Sandy

The ad says “When you spend $25 on these P&G products” so, the pamper box pack wouldn't be included (the pampers jumbo are).

      • tarabj

The computer system will either pick the best deal, or pick the deal that should be currently running (ie, this week) if the same item is covered by two different sales.

        • Lucy

    • VineyB

I bought the Pampers that were on sale through 7/24 earlier this week and got the $10 ECB. I just saw that we can actually get 2 of those deals, so my question is, if I go back in today to buy another box of the Pampers, can I use the ECB that I got for the previous box?

      • amy

        yes you can.

      • Ashley

Yes you can. Only Walgreens has that rule.

    • Melissa

The Johnson & Johnson coupon is only for $1 off 2 products. Bummer!

      • Amy

I just figured that out as well. It does say it will be $3 off 2 but when it prints out it is only $1 off 2.

    • Karen

Last time CVS had Sobe B1G1, I had no trouble using B1G1 cpns UNTIL the end of the week and then they said “no go”. I've emailed corporate to get their policy in writing, but haven't heard back from them. Anyone else run into a problem? I've been playing the Sobe game and was hoping to stock up! Thanks for feedback!

      • Alyson

I have had trouble with one CVS accepting BOGO coupons. It is corporate policy to accept them even during CVS BOGO promotions. However, I have still be denied at one CVS. Now I just know which one won't give me a problem.

        • Jenni

Everyone having problems with this should report those specific stores to corporate. If it contradicts their corporate policy, that is a bad as false advertising.

      • GinSim

I shop at 2 different CVS stores and so far no trouble with the Sobe bogo's. My kids love them!

      • SFLS

Yes! In fact the employee who refused them stated he had been written-up for accepting them earlier in the week and will be terminated after 3 write-ups. I, too, called corporate, they stated it was OK to use and this message is NOT being passed on the to the local stores.

What a shame that this employee has to fear for his job IF he follows what corporate tells their customer.

      • Mwebber

My CVS says I have to pay for 1 and I get 2 free with the buy one get on deal and coupon. So I get 3 for the price of 1.

        • LeAnnaShaw

no that is wrong mwebber….their policy clearly states..they will take a b1g1 for a b1g1 sale….also if they have a b1g1 sale you can use 2 coupons(one for each). This has NOT been changed. Email CVS tonight from their web site-you will get back a pat answer. If you want to email me at shaws6at comcast-dot-net I can writer their policy word for word-or see if I kept it and forward it to you. Now they can say-'you can only get 3 of the sobes…b1g1(so you get 3) at a time. In that case go in every day! I typically only use 5 of those a day. Or go to different stores.

      • Siasdaviscoupons

I have 2 CVS stores within 5 minutes of my house. One of them stopped accepting a BOGO coupon on a BOGO item about two weeks ago. I called and emailed corporate who said their policy is to accept them, and I have their email to that effect. HOWEVER, on the phone they told me that stores can choose to follow a more restrictive policy if they wish. I talked with one of the cashiers at one store, and she said the new district manager has decided not to accept them. The other CVS is in a different district (in the opposite direction from my house) and when I asked if they still take BOGO coupons on BOGO items, the girl said, “Well, yeah,” as if that's a given. Now I know where to shop when I have a BOGO/BOGO situation!

    • Cawin78

Do you think we could get a better deal at Publix with the green advantage ad as in regards to Thermacare/advil? There is a store Q for $5/2, maybe use a $2 advil p.m. and the $3 off thermacare…advil is $4.99, not sure the thermacare though…..still new to this, sorry.

      • Michelle J

Publix's price for the bottle size specified on their coupon is around $12-$14. May be cheaper at CVS if you have ECBs. Plus, the Advil at Publix is for Advil PM, so if that's not what you need, it's not a good deal at all.

    • Alexis

question – On the IheartCVS website there are links to the email coupons for the various $ off $ that went out. Since these are only valid for the intended recipient, will they not work if I print one out and try to use it since it was not emailed to me? Thanks!

      • 3monkeysmom

I've never tried it (seems dishonest to me) but I did read that they will “beep.” Then it would be up to your cashier whether to refuse it or push it through.

        • I work at CVS – I refuse to push these through. These are coupons that CVS has chosen to give to their customers – we don't get reimbursed. So, please don't take advantage us.

          • 3monkeysmom

I wasn't suggesting that anyone try it. Like I said, seems dishonest to me. Just relating what I had read on another blog :-)
Do you get alot of people trying to use them?

      • LB514

My CVS will not push these through.

    • wendyc33

Ok If anyone got a $4/20 coupon like me, How are you going to use it this week? I need some scenarios. I have been racking my brain to figure this one with low oop. I have 6.00 in ecbs from last week. If anyone is doing the deals with that coupon can u post your scenario on here to help me out a bit. Thanks alot.

      • Jane

I haven't decided yet either. I'm tempted to just buy 3 diapers.

        • moneysaved4disney

That is what i was thinking too.

      • GinSim

I just did a quick run thru so it may not work, but could you combine the 1st and 2nd transactions in the scenarios (you would need a small filler b/c I think it comes to $19 something). Using you $4 off and the listed coupons the total should be between $8-9 before your ECBs from last which would put your oop less than $3 and you would get $10 in ecbs. Just a thought!

    • WynetteC

Heads up on the $3/2 Johnson & Johnson coupon prints out as $1/2

      • Cdbartonjunkmail

Yep and the $2/1 is printing out $.50/1. Drat!

    • Reginamarie

Quick question for those who have shopped on Saturday for both weeks deals. This weeks photobook is free after ECB, next week's sale is B1G1, can I do it on Saturday night and get both FREE after ECB? Also I haven't shopped early, does anyone know which stores in the Greensboro, NC area do this?

      • LB514

You will not be able to get both week's deals; you will have to choose either deal (i.e., you can either get it for 7.99 with 7.99 ECB back, or you can get one for regular price and get one free).

FYI, at my store, the new ad automatically takes effect on Saturday, and if I want the current week's ad deal on an item that has a different deal next week, I have to tell the cashier and they have to key it in manually. They don't mind doing it, but it seems like a hassle. I wish there was a different way for them to do it.

    • Jessica Moose

Hi ladies!I am just now trying to get started with this “coupon” fun! I recently had a baby and I am staying home with her, so every little bit helps! Can someone please help me get started with the cvs stuff! I already have a card and I have always used cvs, but I have never used my extra care bucks! Please give me a scenerio of the best way to get started where I can start stocking up on these great deals! Thanks ahead of time!!

      • GinSim

Hi-I am pretty new to this myself but have been at it a few months. What I would do (and how I started) was small-using the scenarios that Jenny posts based on what we need and use. Also, you can register your card with an email address (the link is in the “if you are new to cvs guide” at the top of the page) and they will email you a $4/$20 coupon and if you have a few ecbs from earlier transactions you can try a bigger transaction and so on. My basic plan with CVS is to get everything I can with ECB and then if there is a sale or a deal on something I want that doesn't earn ecb, I do that last. Jenny's tutorials are really helpful too! Good luck!

      • Nancy

If you haven't already received your $4off$20 coupon you can log onto the CVS website and register to have one sent to your e-mail. You'll need your CVS card number when you input your information.

Go to CVS ASAP and take advantage of the Pampers diaper sale. $10.00 in Extra Care bucks when you buy any big pack. You can get even more savings by purchasing some coupons from any of the coupon clipping services out there. You might want to get a bunch of those since you just had a baby, and you know how expensive diapers can be!

        Congratulations and good luck!

        • Jessica Moose

Thanks so much! Do you think i can still earn those if i use a gift card for cvs?

          • Stephanie C.

Yes. It doesn't matter how you pay. I used a gift card I got when I had a new prescription at CVS, and it printed out all the ECB deals.

      • Queennana0725

Jessica, just read Jenny's CVS how to's on this website. It takes some trial and error and you will make mistakes but you can certainly make it work for you.
I wasted ecb's for years until one of my daughters learned about CVSing. I used to spend at least $100 a week at Walmart on things other than food like toothpaste and deodorant and shampoo. Now I don't darken their doors anymore. I shop for things at thrift stores and yard sales and only go to CVS and Winn Dixie. (I don't have a nearby Publix but I love shopping there when I can) I have saved so much money and gotten so much for free. Sometimes when I leave CVS I can't believe how well I've done.

      • momof3

Jessica, The best suggestion I can give is use training wheels. For a month or so, just get Jenny's transactions at the bottom. (If you need to get something else, do another transaction, just so that you can get the “rhythm” of how this works.) After a few months, first, you'll have more toothpaste than you'll ever use–I keep my friends and the local shelter stocked–and you'll be ready to branch out here and there…By the way, I also set criteria for myself–(I have a 1 year old)–I don't spend any more than $3 per pack of diapers, and the like!

        • Faye

$3 for diapers! That is awesome! I have a daughter that will be getting pregnant soon and I'd like to start buying diapers – hopefully to accumulate a years supply :) Would you mind telling me if there is anything I need to sign up for and where the best deals on diapers are typically found? Any info will help. I do okay with food and non-perishables but I have no idea what all is available for diapers. Thanks :)

    • Ashley

You can get the Crest Pro-Health Mouth Rinse for free because of the limit being 2.
Instead, buy 5 Mouth Rinses, It will cost 20, use 5 2 dollar off then get 10 dollars back to get them for free :)

      $5 ECB wyb $10 Crest/Oral-B/Scope products LIMIT 2
      Crest Pro-Health Mouth Rinse 1 liter $3.99
      -$2 off Crest Mouthwash 946ml+, PG 8/01

      • Sshoulders

Can you do this in one transaction or will it take two transactions?

        • Ashley

You would have to do this in one transaction. You would get a 10 ECB back instead of 5 and 5. I'm going to do it today so I will let you know!

      • Wanda297

You would have to do it in one transaction – right! Please let me how you make out with this – 'cause I want to do this deal on Thursday. I have to round up enough coupons. Thanks for the great idea!

      • rosewood4

Let me just say THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just back from CVS this deal worked like a charm and 3 of the bottles had a 8.4 oz bottle attached to them, so I ended up only paying $1.20 in tax but I check my receipt and it does not say print limit reach, so I can do it again. yippee

      • anna

Just curious, did it still give you the $10 back since it would have been 19.95? 10 and 9.95 instead of 10 and 10?

        Thanks for the help!

    • Lmcaldwell

Customers, beware of the disney gummy vitamins b1g1f because I went in today and bought some that were listed at 6.99 and when I got home I realized they had rung them up at 7.39 each. That was a difference of 40 cents. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but I was wondering what other items ring up at CVS that are not the price they are tagged as? Has anyone else had this problem?

      • crobertson1916

I have had this problem with milk that I have purchased at CVS a couple of times. The first time it happened, I just let it go and didn't go back to the store, but I caught it the second time and the clerk changed the price.

    • Lesmoore9

How does everyone keep getting $4 off $20 q's and so forth? I have only gotten one when I first registerd my card and nothing since, not at the scanner when you go in and not in my email, am I doing or not doing something

      • Michelle J

Well I thought I was being left out, too, but when I bought the Pampers deal today, $4/20 printed with my ECB's.

      • 3monkeysmom

I wish I knew!! I got a few through email when I first signed up the year before last…nothing since then. I've emailed them about it but got no real answer as to why I don't receive them anymore.
I got a $5 off $15 on my receipt a couple of months ago but that's been it.
People will give you all kinds of advice to “prompt” them…opting out of emails, then signing back up; logging into your extracare account on certain days of the week, etc…NONE of these things have ever worked for me :-(
I can't figure it out but I wish like I crazy I could get them again!!

      • RushNSaver

i called and asked about it and was told that i need to spend more than $20 in order to get the promotion. i told them that usually i am over $25 on my purchase before the coupons. One of the things that cust serv rep said that my card was not active long enough so that might be the reason. i have had my card for 8 months, my mo had her card for over 7 years so she keeps on getting those $4/$20 e-mailed to her almost every week. i get jealous at times. I hope this info helps.

        • Guest

The more often you shop the more you will get too.

        • momof3

I'm the same way…My daughter has her “own” card as of about 6 months ago (she's 6 years old, but love to discount shop with mom, and it's good training for her), and she gets a TON of the “4 off 20” purchases….I have been a steady shopper for over a year, and haven't received but 2…Unlucky, is what I call it…:(

      • Guest

        Spend money at CVS :)

      • GA Girl

I'd like to know also. My mother gets them quite often via email and she has only had her card about six months and doesn't spend much shopping there. On the onther hand, I have had my card for over a year and spend quite a bit of money there and I never get them. What's up with that?

    • Perkins Elizabeth

Quick question… how do you find out the deals for next week? I looked at CVS.com and next week’s ad is not yet posted.

      • Anonymous

iheartcvs.com is the site that has the upcoming deals. hth

      • Guest

you have to access it through Jenny's site. Scroll up to the top of this page. Just before the shopping list starts, there will be a line that says something like “To see the full weekly ad, click here” – click on this link and it will take you to the ad. You probably wouldn't be able to access it through the CVS website until after midnight.

    • Malred030506

i was at cvs and they had triaminic on sale for $1.74 so i had 3 $3.00 off coupons on 2 triaminic products so i bought 6 products and spent $1.44 on 6 bottles of cough meds for my kids and with it fixing to be in that season i bought all that i could at that price

      • Sshoulders

where did you get your coupons?

        • mb's mom

They were in this past Sunday Paper (7/25).

      • Anonymous

Thanks for posting this :-) I got two bottles tonight :-) I also saw Dimetapp and some CVS brands were 75% off too.

    • sonyapell

I am so excited about this week! We have been flat broke, and are running out of things around the house. I'm having to HAND wash dishes! (Oh the horror! lol…) Anyways, we're almost out of toilet paper, and dish soap, so my goal setting up my scenario was to get those two things for free starting with 9.99 ECB. I'm thrilled with my plan, and hope it works!

      (2) Colgate Totals 2.99 ($4 ECB)
      -$1 MQ x 2
      -$1 CVS Q (diabetes advantage e-mail) x 2
      (1) Venus Razor 9.79 ($5 ECB)
      -$4 MQ (from fb game!)
      (2) Pantene 4.99 ($2 ECB)
      – BOGO MQ
      -$2/1 MQ
      (1) Dawn .97
      -$1 MQ
      (1) Kotex U 4.99 ($4.99 ECB)
      – $1.50 CVS Q (reinventing beauty)
      – $1 MQ
      Subtotal 31.71 Tax incl, 34.25
      -$5/30 e-mail Q!
      -9.99 ECB
Total oop .77!!! Plus, I'll get back $14.99 ECB!

(Then for the toilet paper. lol…)

    • Sandra

Why would you list an expired coupon as part of the summary…seriously.
      Crest Coupon expires 7/31

      • Sharoninsc

These deals are available at my CVS startint tonight at 6:30pm!!
This coupon will still work today!

      • ashleyzoso

Because you can shop most stores starting on saturday night (7/31) even though the ad does not actually begin until 8/01. Many of us can us those coupons tonight.

      • MarieNC516

IF you had read the beginning part of the post, Jenny tells us why the expired coupons are listed.
I am sure that you can wait until tomorrow to get the ad and do your own research for coupon match ups if it bothers you too much.
We should be thanking Jenny . . .seriously.

Sandra seriously…why would you make such an unfriendly comment toward Jenny! Read the entire post, it is very self-explanatory. I don't think any negativity is warranted toward someone who does so much for all of us–be grateful instead.

Some store starts sale around 6:30 PM Saturday that's why.

      • Tasha K

My CVS accepts expired coupons. I bought the toothpaste today with that coupon with no problem.

      • Texasgrl318

Sandra, it was listed because a lot of stores that are not 24 hrs. start their sales on Saturday night. The coupon could have been used on Saturday. Have you looked at jenny’s tutorials on how to get started at CVS? She may have this mentioned in there

        • Sandra

O I always thought they started sales early because they wanted to go home early (and they weren’t SUPPOSED to really honor the sales, so I felt I was cheating them if I went saturday nights) not because they were thinking about 24 hour stores. The **ONLY** kind of 24 hour store I have ever had around me besides gas stations and 7/11s are a single kind of grocery that starts their ad at 6 *AM*
I used to work at a store that had weekly deals that was NOT open 24 hours ANYWHERE and we set the ads the morning the ad started before the store opened.

And to *almost* everyone else, take two seconds to read over what you wrote, see that 10 other people wrote the same thing to me, and think if you would have said it out loud… does it sound nice? no, does Texasgrl318 sound informative and nice? yes. Think about that next time you call someone ELSE mean.

          • momto2boys

I don’t think if you read your original post out loud you would think it sounded very nice either…..just saying. Your post was condescending and rude…hence the comments that followed.

I received another $5/$30 coupon from CVS, has anyone tried using this at Publix? I have gotten many of these in the past, but never thought of using it at Publix until now!

      • My Publix (in Goose Creek, SC) always takes them as long as they are the computer printed/email printed or ad printed ones. The don't take them if they're the ones printed on receipts or from the little kiosk that say “with extra care card” and your name….not sure if all Publix are that picky but ours is pretty specific and I don't try to get around it since they're so great to accept competitor coupons anyway. I just always end up printing a bunch of the Rite Aid $5/$25 that show up on Red Plum or their website or Save-a-lot's coupons too.

        • kaseyshadow

Do you have a super Target in Goose Creek? My Pulbix in Cola told me no drug store or target q's because they aren't competitors. Never thought about using the rite aid one from Red Plum. May give that a try. All they can tell me is no:)

      • Amy

Publix in Lexington will only take competitor coupons from other grocery stores (food lion, bilo, etc) They wouldn't take target or drug store coupons.

      • Debbie Parnell

I don't know where you are but the Publix in Duncan, SC will take CVS, Walgreens, Bilo, Food Lion and Ingles.

    • Kim

Does anyone know if the Sobe BOGO will start tonight or if the sale from this week will be the better deal?

    • Bensont

I love CVS!!! I went today and was able to get the deals from last week and the deals that start tomorrow. I bought over $112 worth of items and paid $24.61 oop. That is the best trip I have ever had to CVS, and the stuff I bought is stuff I use. There were no fillers.

      • Kim

Did you get any Sobe? I am trying to figure out if it will ring up BOGO today or if I will have to wait until tomorrow.

        • sonyapell

I just got back from there. The sales for next week were already ringing in the register, but my cashier didn't know how to give me this week's sales (for the Pantene). Instead, it rang up 2 for 7, and he manually printed 2 ECB for me.

The opposite happened on the Sobe though. They had the signs up for BOGO, but they still rang up at .88. The cashier argued with me that it didn't matter, because I was still getting them for half off normal price. Then, when I explained why I wanted them adjusted to what the signage said, he said he would fix it. I realized when I got home, he didn't. I paid .88 for 6 drinks that should have been free. :( I wouldn't have bought them had I known they weren't going to be willing to honor the signs that were already up.

          • Jenn

BRING YOUR RECEIPT BACK and show it to the manager. It was probably a mistake on the cashier's part. The manager should HAVE to uphold the TRUE deal!

        • Guest

it ring up .88 cents not buy one get one free in-less you get the store to adjust that when i wait till Sunday. When an item on sale the week before and next you will always have an overlap problem.

      • Jenn

        Wow, Benson! That was terrific!
I bought the Photobook (really great) and two Sobe waters. Used $8 ECBs, paid $2 and change, and got a new $8 ECBs back. The woman behind me dropped her jaw! LOL! (I can only imagine the people behind Bensont!)

        • Bensont

Thank you. It cracks me up when people have reactions like your cashier did. The lady behind me was asking questions, and the CVS cashier was wonderful. I had a blast. I even took a picture of everything I bought when I got back home. It was great!!!

    • Juliea201

I'm not sure if I'm shopping this week… really don't need more toothpaste! LOL! But I did this deal at my 24 hr CVS to snag the last of this past week's deals:

      (2) Arm & Hammer Detergent, 2 for $7.00
      (1) Kotes U Liners, $4.99
      (4) Sobe Lifewaters, $0.88 ea

-(2) B1G1 Sobe Lifewaters (the cashier rang the freebies in for the NON-sale price of $1.59 so I pretty much got them all free anyway!)
      -$1/2 Arm & Hammer Detergents
-$1 off Kotex U product IP
-$1 of Kotex U product CVS coupon
      -$10 ECB

      Total OOP w/ tax: $0.71 — Got $6.99 ECB ***

***My total PREtax ended up as NEGATIVE $0.67 b/c of the way my cashier unexpectedly keyed in the Sobe coupons; normally they'll tell me I'm at a negative or they need to adjust my ECB if this happens. I was ready to grab a candy bar if it beeped but it never did.

Anyway, GREAT trip, saved over 97%! Wondering now what to do with those new ECBs…

    • kaseyshadow

I am so proud of my CVS trip today. My oop $3.58 with $3 of ebc's back. Ist time I got my oop that cheap in one transaction.

    • Hilary

Attention Lexington SC customers!! I just went to the CVS in front of Home Depot on Hwy 378 today. I have been using competitor coupons for several month on the suggestion of other SS readers but today the cashier told me they are no longer honoring competitor coupons and would not let me use my $5 off a $25 purchase coupon from Rite Aid. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up!! It threw me off and I wish I could have been prepared with another dollar off coupon that I had in my email box from CVS. I just didn't think I would need it. Oh well. I still love CVS.

      • Gamecockshan

Thanks for the info. This is my favorite CVS. I always go late at night and everyone is so helpful. I'd never tried to use the $5/25, etc. there.

    • Rebecca

Can you stack the coupons that come out of the red machine with a manufacturer coupon? Bacause they are CVS coupons right?

      • Pfsinnh

      • KashLea1

Yes, I got a U Kotex Q from the red machine & stacked it with the Manu Q & got $4.99 ECB back from flyer that ended today. So it's worth scanning your card.

        • Jenn

Yep, and then, if you've gotten any ECBs already, you can use them, too! I LOVE stacking a store with a manu q then using ECBs to help pay for them, and then get back more than I used in cash and ECBs!

        • tygirl13

I stacked the red machine coupon, reinventing beauty store coupon, and manu coupon & got 4.99 ECB. I was surprised that the red machine stacked with the other store coupon, but it worked with no beeps! I love making $3.50 to a buy a box of tampons…

          • Where do you find the reinventing beauty magazines? I asked the cashier and she didn't know what I was talking about. I guess my store doesn't have them.

    • Kelly

What exactly qualifies as a Conair Appliance?? It states on the ad, starts at $4.49?? Does this mean barbie pins, brushes, combs, wraps by Conair??? There is NOTHING that is an “appliance” that starts at $4.49 that I see:) Anyone know about this??

      • I tried buying a brush that was $4.99, and it didn't print the ECB. They said it has to be an appliance, yet there weren't any appliances less than $15.

        • Dynaram

I also tried buying a brush no luck. I was able to find a hair straightener for 7.99 the cheapest thing i found no worth buying for me since all i am looking for is to recycle my ecb's.

    • Rwgarris

I have a question about something I was told at CVS the other week. I read something (on here I think?) that CVS will also stack coupons. I was told by a CVS clerk that they are only allowed to do this when there is another drugstore across the street. Is this true? If it is, I missed something when I read it could be done. There are no stores in my neighborhood fitting this description. I was disappointed. CVS is still my favorite drugstore.

      • Suemh

My store stacks coupons all the time, as long as it is a manufacturer's coupon stacked with a CVS store coupon. They do not take other stores' coupons at all. There is no other drugstore even close to them.

      • Jenn

I'd honestly try a different cashier. Sometimes they just don't know what they're talking about! Ours doesn't have another pharmacy nearby, and it stacks manufacturers with store coupons.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Your question is not clear and the response from the employee appears to indicate stacking competitor's coupons with CVS/manuf Qs?

CVS's own coupons can be stacked with manuf Qs. regardless of any other stores in the area or not. Therefore, you should be able to stack CVS Qs with manuf Qs in any circumstances. When it comes to accepting competitors' Qs, then each individual store seems to be different in their policies and conducts; and I think that is what the employee might have meant

    • Ejkstarkey

I've only been couponing for a few weeks and have a question for some of you more experienced in this wonderful game….I have noticed that some items seem to be very popular in the sales and coupon fliers; razors for example have been super cheap. Is that a seasonal trend since it's Summer? I'm just curious if I can depend on these items to always be cheap, or if I need to stock up for the “off-season”. Thanks for any info!!!

      • Bev

I've been couponing for 7 months now, and I think the general trend is that if you're not as picky about brands, razors are always super cheap (free-.99). I personally only use a particular brand (Schick Quattro), and I do find I have to stock up a little more on that one b/c it can sometime be a little while in between good coupons and good sales. But if you're not as particular, don't go super crazy stocking up. Buy a few, but don't ever pay more than .99 for a razor if you don't have to.

      • Melissa

I'm not too picky about razors thought I prefer mens over womens but I have been doing this since mid January and Razors was one of the first deals I got…you never forget your first few free items…LOL! Now on the other hand When it comes to food I have noticed a BIG difference…My example will be Nathan's Hot Dogs…they are our favorite hands down. Now I got them on sale in Febuary and did not find them on sale again till the second week in June….and haven't seen them since….so I think if you are really in love with 1 brand it may be worth your time and money to purchase a few coupons to really take advantage of a GREAT sale on your Favorites!!! :O) I hope this helps

      • SSheila

I'm not really sure. But, anytime I get a high dollar coupon that makes the razor free to $1, I go ahead and get it to stock up. For me, it's more about getting that big coupon.

      • Sdavisva

I'm starting to see trends after couponing for less than a year. It seemed like toothpaste was always on sale, so I stopped stocking up. Then we were down to our last tube with no sales in sight. Same thing happened with shampoo and hairspray. I guess you really have to think through how many you might need for your family and how many stores you frequent. But what I have found is that they do EVENTUALLY go on sale again. You will probably make some mistakes – overpaying, overbuying, underbuying – go easy on yourself!

    • julies

so if i go today *(saturday) what deal will come up on the sobe’s, this week’s ad of .88cents each or the ad starting sunday buy1get1….i really was hoping to get my sobe’s today!!

      • Guest

The problem is when two items are on sale each week that when a problem comes up. You will get the .88 cents price. Now if an item not on sale you would get the buy one get one free. Two sales that overlap than when i wait till Sunday for that item so you have no problems.

        • Katherine1028

I don't know if it was a fluke then: I got the B1G1 Sobe on Saturday 7/31: They were 1.69 and the second one was free. So it didn't do both week's sales (.88 and the B1G1) but it did do the coming week's sale (B1G1).

      • Palazesi

I went to Sobe.com to get a couple b1g1 coupons and won a free pair of flip flops!

    • Linda

I'm so appreciative to have found this site. It has saved me lots of $$. A million thanks to the lady in the checkout line at Goose Creek Publix who told me about. I have shared the good news with others.

With the Vitamins that are BOGO (or anything BOGO for that matter), can you do like at grocery stores and just get one at half price or does CVS require that you buy 2?

      • Suemh

        You have to buy 2.

        • Michelle J

          Ok thanks!

    • Alicia

My store starts Sunday sales on Saturday. Does anyone know if I can get the pampers that are on sale this week, pay for it in two transactions (to pay less oop) and get the free Bounty from next weeks sales??? Thanks!!

      • Zarate06

I don't think so because the diapers for the two deals are different sizes. Believe me, I thought about that too! :)

      • Michelle J

The diapers are different for each deal. This week is the boxed diapers and next week is the small pack. But had they been the same size, the answer is “no” because you can't do both weeks for 1 item. However, save your $10 ECB on the diapers if you do buy them now to get the pampers for next week towards the paper towels cheaper. :)

    • littlemama

Do you have to buy all of the P&G items in one transaction for the paper towel deal to work? Or can it be done in two?

      • Pfsinnh

Needs to be done in one transaction.

    • Guest

you have to access it through Jenny's site. Scroll up to the top of this page. Just before the shopping list starts, there will be a line that says something like “To see the full weekly ad, click here” – click on this link and it will take you to the ad. You probably wouldn't be able to access it through the CVS website until after midnight.

      • Guest

sorry – please disregard – this was supposed to be a reply to a question farther down in the post

How can i get three Colgate Total Toothpaste coupons in newspaper?
Am i have to buy three of them? or something else??

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

One paper will have one insert that will have only one Colgate Q in it; therefore, you would need to have 3 papers in order to have 3 inserts that will yield 3 Colgate Qs.

If you meant some other ways to get Qs? Then try trading by mail on the “Coupon Traders” on your right side pan on this page; you may also try your local stores late in sunday night when they throw away all newspapers and coupons in garbage

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

Not sure if it is regional, but surely
      a) Thermacare Coupons for $3/1 are out there in RP 7/25, and
      b) Pringles Coupons for $1/2 and $1/4 are out there in PG 8/1

    • MountPleasantite

Just got my paper with the P&G coupons- the Crest Prohealth Q is for the 946ml size, not the pint size (473ml) that is on sale—

Not gonna try and get away with it, I don't want to ruin my good relationship with my CVS!!

      • Jaysemailcoupons

The liter size is on sale, not the pint size. 1 liter = 1000ml, Q is for 946ml or larger, so you're good!

        • tarheelbaby1

Yep, it's the 1L size that's on sale, so the coupon applies. Just used mine this morning.

        • Freedomspradley1

Oh great. I was worried the sale item was smaller than what q called for.

    • Debbie Parnell

This doesn't relate to CVS, but does anyone have any Joy Dish Detergent coupons?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

What I have found out from my research, there is none valid out there. One was out last year in some insert that expired Nov 2009 and since then, as it seems, none has been out yet.

    • Bartontj909

I received a birthday gift email from CVS today! Save $3.00 on any purchase. This will be nice matched with my $4.00 off $20.00

    • AJ

Johnson and Johnson $3/2 coupon printed as $1/2 for me. Even though the page I clicked on still says $3/2.

      • Fixerupper83

        Same for me.

      • Brandy

me too :-( very dissapointed with J&J

    • Jessica Moose

Ok ladies, I have a $25 gift card, $4 off$20 coupon…I need ideas of how to get started at cvs where I can start playing the ” coupon game”! Does anyone have any good scenarios for this week? Thanks!

      • pfsinnh

Start with some items that you need that are on sale and then pick out some stuff you'll need for down the road that are listed up above. Then start stacking those coupons. You can use Jenny's example above to get started, or you can wait another day or so and there will be several other scenarios posted here.

Whatever you do I recommend that you not blow through your $25 GC because there will be more deals next week and you will wish you had saved some room on your card. :)

    • Suemh

Did anyone get Red Plum inserts in Greenville News today?

      • Catherine

i got red plum greenville edition in the anderson paper but no P&Gs!!!

      • Kim

I buy mine at Walgreens in Greer, and I got all 4 inserts in the 4 papers I bought, 2 RedPlum's, a SmarSource, and the P&G.

        • Suemh

I went to Walgreens in Laurens and got no Red Plums. I even looked through a lot of papers.

          • walker

Wal-Mart in Laurens had one paper with a Red Plum, this is like the 5th time in this has happened, what's going on?

            • Suemh

I believe that it is the responsibility of the carrier to put the inserts in the papers. When I was discussing it one day with a clerk in a store, a former GN carrier was inhere, and he confirmed this. Also, my dad worked for The State newspaper for many years and he confirmed. However, I do not know if the carrier is supposed to put them in the papers that go to these stores. It is not unusual for the papers in Clinton to be missing the Red Plum, which is why I drove to Laurens. A few months ago I got a paper with 6 Red Plums in it. In June, I sent an email to Greenville News office complaining about the inserts often not being in the paper. I got no response. I truly wish that everyone who is shorted their inserts would contact the Greenville News and complain. Maybe they would look into the problem then.

            • Parker

It used to be the carrier’s duty to put the inserts in but that is not the case now. All inserts are put together at a separate location and left at a drop site days before the carrier picks them up and puts the papers together. Who ever is doing the inserts is falling down on the job because I have spoken to several carriers from Laurens, Clinton, Greenwood, and Fountain Inn and they all say the same thing. Half the time they don’t even put in the CVS paper or any sales ads. I too have emailed and called the Greenville News several times with no response!!

            • Thanks for the info. I stand corrected. In that case, I wonder what is happening to all the inserts that do not get put in the papers. Is GN paying them to put all the inserts in? I think that every time someone doesn’t get an insert that was supposed to be there, they should send an email to the circulation dept. If they get a couple of hundred inserts every Sunday/Monday, maybe they will look into the problem. I have looked up the email address. It is kaijlee(at)greenvillenews(dot)com

      • Vtkelly

i did at a walgreens in travelers rest

    • Amanda

Has anyone tried the Bandaid/Neosporin deal with (2) $2.99 products and (1) $3.99 product? Just wondering if the ecb would still print at $9.97. If so it'd make a great deal paired with the $3/3 coupon in the paper today :) After the ECB and Coupon, each item would only cost $.67!

      • Michelle J

It HAS to be at least $10. The ECB will not print for anything less. :(

        • Dawn B

Not always true at the stores I shop at. If it says you have to spend $15, and the item is $4.99, you can buy three for a total of $14.97 and the ECB will still print. This may not be the case on all sales, but I know it has worked for the P&G sales before.

          • Michelle J

Well in my case, I had to meet a $15 limit once and got to $14.99 and it didn't print.

      • Alli

I didn't find any included products this morning that were 2.99. The lowest was $3.49, so I went over $10

      • Asmith

I have not tried this specifically but I am positive that on multiple occasions I have been
pennies short and the ECB has printed.

      • Freedomspradley1

Sometimes the cashier can override the $10 rule if you bring it to their attention you are just a couple pennies short.

      • Pawstoreflect

I just did the Crest ProHealth rinse deal, limit 2. I bought (5) rinses, total $19.95, used (5) 2/1 coupons and 10ECB from last week. Due $0.00, got back 10 ECB's. HTH

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

So far what I have found out, upto 5 cents short will not matter and the ecb will print in almost all cases. However, jury is still out there-Please post here your experience if any shorter amount still printed the ecb for you or else.

    • Pinkandblackcrazy

Does anybody know what the conair products that are on the sale are the 4 dollar ones

      • Kippy

i was wondering the same thing! 7.99 is the lowest i saw for a cheap curling iron.

      • Freedomspradley1

It's all appliances and the cheapest thing I found was $9.99.

    • Lisa

This may have already been mentioned but a gallon milk is on sale for $3.19 and you get back $1 ECB. Limit 2

    • Scarter17

did a little different at cvs had a $4 off 20 had to use so we did this:
      (1) col. toothpaste 2.99
      (1) alt. 1.49
      (2) thermacare wraps 6.99 ea.
      (1)excedrin mig. 1.99
      $4 off 20,(2) $3 off therm, .75 off col., $1 off excedrin,$2 ecb,4.99 ecbs spent 2.99 got back $8 ecbs

    • Kris

Went to the CVS in my area today and tried to use my B1G1 mq for the sale of Sobe B1G1. The cashier would not take the mq. I though I had read somewhere that we could use it together. Other than that, I did good.

      I bought 1 Gilette fusion @ 9.79
      had 1 $4.00 mq
      had 1 $5 ECB
      ended up spending $1.48 w/tax.

      got 1 $5.00 ECB

      Bought 2 Thermacare @ $13.98/2
      Had 2 $3.00 mq's
      Had $6.00 ECB ($5, $1)

ended up spending $2.96 w/ tax and received $5 ECB

      • Angela

I used 4 Sobe coupons today no problem at all.

I bought the Gilette Fusion, Colgate Toothpaste, 8 bottles of Sobe and a pack of gum and only paid $0.45 out of pocket after all coupons and ECB :) Came out with another $7.00 in ECB.

      • Sdavisva

It is written in their coupon policy that B1G1 free coupons matched with a B1G1 sale make both items free – you just have to pick up the tax. It might be worth your while to go back in and hopefully get another cashier or ask for the manager. HTH!

    • Deprn

Anyone know what qualifies for the conair hair or shaving appliances, that is 4.99?

      • Kim

I couldn't find any at my store!

      • tarheelbaby1

I didn't see anything for $4.99 in my store. The cheapest thing was a curling iron for $7.99. Didn't look like anything I would use. Most of the appliances were considerably more expensive ($20-30+ range).

    • Freedomspradley1

Had awesome trip to CVS today. Got lots of deals. I started off with $10 ECB from last week, two $5 off $25 CVS q, and a free Olay Regernist manf q. I was able to get 2 Tides Powder 40 wash, 3 Crest Whitening with Scope Toothpaste, 1 Pampers Easy Ups, 4 Sobe Waters, 2 Kleenex Anti Viral, 3 boxes Disney Bandaids, 1 Altoids, Bounty 8 pk, Gillette Proglide Razor, and Olay Regenerist Lotion. I walked out spending $5.25 cash. I have $4 ECB for next week and another $5 off $25 CVS q. I want to go back to get the deal including the Crest Mouthwash. I hope the -$2 q from 8/01 paper works because it's for a larger size than what's on sale at the CVS I shop.

      • Suemh

How did you get 3 “$5 off $25” coupons?

        • Freedomspradley1

I'm not sure what makes CVS give out the $4 off $20 or $5 off $25 coupons. It may just be luck of the draw but it seems like when it starts printing them off, whether on a receipt or at red kiosk where you scan card, they come back to back. The first one that printed came on the end of a receipt for a prescription pick-up. Then I printed two off the kiosk (got two different days last week) before I used the first that was given.

    • mb's mom

So excited about my CVS trip today!

      1 Gillette Fusion, 2 Kleenex, 4 Oral-B toothbrushes, 2 Colgate toothpaste, 1 Glide floss, 2 Crest mouthwash, 2 Pantene hairspray, 18 Sobe's, 2 M&M pretzels, 1 Dove candy bar.

      I started with $8 ECB—got $88.95 worth of merchandise—spent $4.55 with tax, but $1.70 before tax (awesome!)—-HAVE $10 ECB'S FOR NEXT WEEK!!!

Only been doing this for a month and feel like I have the hang of it!!! Thanks Jenny!

      • Dmbnpj

How did you get 18 Sobes included in the deal?

        • Pinkandblackcrazy

if you are playing the heads or tails sobe game you can get 2 coupons everyday http://headsortails.sobe.com/ I have coupons to get 40 free

          • Dmbnpj

I have tons of them also, but they specifically say one coupon per purchase? I am assuming that she didnt get 18 Sobes with 9 different transactions?

      • new mom

How did you do it? Can you write in detail, plz? I have $10 ECB. And I am beginner.

        • Freedomspradley1

I'm not sure how mb's mom's deals worked but I've found it best to lean toward the deals that have the highest savings off the bat like $5 ECB on $10 purchase or $10 ECB on $20 purchase. The $2-3 ECB on a $10+ purchase aren't big money savers unless you have high value coupons. Breaking your purchase into multiple transactions also helps keep the out of pocket expenses down. If you have $10 ECB to start just get 1 Gillette Proglide Razor (w/ -$4 manf q), and the Crest/Scope/Oral B deal (w/ two -$2 Crest mouthwash q and one -$1 toothbrush q). That will come to around $11.76 (before taxes) and you can use your $10 ECB and only pay $1.76 + tax. You will also get two $5 ECB from the two deals to do your next transaction.

        • marinewife

Here's something I did today – I got 2 Crest Rinses (1 liters), 1 Oral-B Toothbrush, 1 Colgate total toothpaste, and 1 Altoids. I used (2) $2 off Crest Rinses, (1) .75 off Oral-B, (1) .75 off Colgate, and 10 ECB. My total came to 0.00 + tax, and I received 8 ECB back, plus 1 more for using the green bag tag. I am assuming that mb's mom's transactions were all split up into various separate ones since the total ECB she would have gotten back from doing all of the above in one transaction probably would have been more like 20 ECB or so instead of just 10 ECB.

Here's something else you could do:
          Trans 1: 1 ProGlide Razor, 2 Colgate Total toothpastes; use (1) $4 off ProGlide, (2) .75 off Colgate, and 10 ECB….total = .45 +tax, get back 9 ECB (5, 2, 2)

          Trans 2: 2 Crest ProHealth 1 liter rinses, 1 Oral-B toothbrush, 1 Altoids mints; use (2) $2 off Crest rinses, (1) .75 off Oral-B toothbrush, and 7 ECB…. total = .74 + tax, get back 6 ECB (5, 1).

          OOP: 1.19 + tax
          ECB leftover: 8

Depending on how many coupons you have, you could also do another transaction 3 to get the Crest deal again:
Trans 3: 2 Crest ProHealth 1 liter rinses, 1 Oral-B toothbrush; use (2) $2 off Crest rinses, (1) .75 off Oral-B toothbrush, and 6 ECB…. total = .22 + tax, get back 5 ECB. This would leave you with 7 ECB leftover if you did trans. 3.

Not sure if any of this is helpful, but maybe you can use it. :)

    • I don't know why a coupon, “-$1 off Colgate Total Toothpaste, 4 oz +, SS 7/11, (exp 7/31) (makes it FREE)” was listed here when it clearly expired 7/31 and today is 8/1. lol

      • Icanread

Rob, did you read the post at the beginning? I think Jenny made it pretty clear why she put coupons for 7/31. lol

        • Jamie

Man, I wish I'd had time to do that last night. People who did really racked-up!

          • Kim

Hey, live and learn! Now you know…it took me months to figure out CVS starts their ad early on Saturday. The good thing is the next time a month ends on a Saturday isn't until April 2011. :+)

        • I didn't see the beginning of the posts. And I didn't realize some stores accept expired coupons. Thanks for the info everyone!

          • Inulovaforeva

Yes, the store I work at for example, takes coupons even after a year past expiration.

      • chrissys

Jenny clearly stated that a lot of coupons expired on 7/31. She put it on here for the people who have stores that start their new ad on Saturday night. I hope this helps clarify why she has this posted.

      • thor30

Some CVS store's will take expired coupons upto 3 days. So check with your store.

      • momto2boys

This has already been addressed and if you read the beginning of her post you will answer your own question.

    • Cdc0329

I found febreze candles on clearance for $5.99, I had a coupon for $5 off, it was expired but our CVS takes them if it is just by a day or so. 99 cent candle!!!

    • Gingiraffe

Does anyone in the Huntsville AL area know a place that will take donations of toiletry items? I just cleaned out my cabinets and I have a box of extra stuff that were freebies that I just don't think we will use. I'd like to donate them.

      • kaseyshadow

I don't live in AL but I'm sure if you look in the phone book you could find a women's shelter or a food bank that would LOVE it. If nothing else call your local school and ask. They may have families that could use it. I know out in our rural area our guidance counselors always know of familes in need.

        • Mel_gerald

I donated a bunch of toiletries to a local high school for the students in need to take home at the beginning of summer break. Many families are struggling so 1 less item to buy is so helpful. Many times they send enough home for the whole family.

      • Karen in FL

You can also try your local Elks, Eagles, etc. Lots of times they work with the local shelters, or send care packages to the troops overseas. Don't forget our women soldiers!!! Good Luck.

      • Lmluvsjb

The downtown rescue mission is a good one.

      • Lisahbennett

Ronald Mcdonald Houses are a great place to donate. Most people show up here after their child has been in an accident or they had a baby and it has to stay in the NICU. They don't have anything with them.

    • Debbie

When I went to print the Red Cross coupon, eventhough it said $3, only $1 printed off. Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

      • Dmbnpj

        Same thing happened to me

      • Suemh

        Same here.

      • Amy

        Me too. So frustrating!

    • JJ

Would someone help me with this question? The Crest Pro Health Mouth Rinse says you get back $5.00 ECB when you purchase $10.00 worth of Colgate products and there is a limit of 2.Under this, however, Jenny posts “a Deal Idea” buying 3 Colgate Mouth Rinses.
Why 3 if there is a limit of 2? Thanks!

      • amy

There is a limit of 2 total deals you can do to get the ecbs, so you spend $20 in products, get total of 10 ecbs back. There is no limit in how many individual products you can buy.

      • Susan

There is not a limit of how many products you buy. When Jenny puts a limit of 2, she means how many times you can do this scenario. So you can actually but $10.00 worth twice and get $5.00 ECB twice.

      • Michellelhs

If you buy 5 of them you will get back 10 in ecbs. I just did that and it def. works.

    • Amanda

The bandaid deal is even better, if you buy 3 products, you can send off for a collectible Toy Story book :)

    • Bcbuffkin

on the printable coupons, do they have to be in color or will the stores take black & white????

      • Alexis

        B&W is fine.

      • Wendy

they will accept black and white. mostly all CVS and walgreens accept them, occasionally you will find a store or an associate that will not take them. good luck!

    • Michellelhs

I had a fantastic shopping trip just now. Granted I started with almost 20 bucks in ecbs that I had been saving from last week and some from the prilosec the week before.
I split the sale into two transactions. I got:
      1st transaction:
4 crest mouthwashes (two had the free sample on them!)
      1 crest floss
      6 SOBEs
after qs and some ecbs this transaction was $.52 and I got back $10 ecbs for next week.

2nd transaction (I split it because I read somewhere you could only use 3 sobe qs at a time)
      4 ragu sauces
      2 skippy pnut butters
      1 colgate total
      1 altoids
      6 SOBEs

total was $-87 after qs and ecbs so I added two small packs of m&ms and paid $.14!!!

      • MichelleI

Wow! That's amazing! Exactly how many ECBs did you use per transaction? And where did you get the coupons for the Sobes and Crest floss? I know where you got the other coupons from, but I just need to know where you got those two coupons so I can try something similar. Thanks.

        • Michellelhs

Honestly I can't remember exactly about the ecbs. I believe on the first one I used the 7.99 (from the photobook) and 4 (from the kotex)ebcs from last week and on the second one i used the 7 from the prolosec two weeks ago and a 4 (from my email) but I could be wrong on that and I have no clue where my recipt is because apparently I did not save it where I usually do.
Anyway the sobe bogos are from the sobe (dot) com website. you just play the game and get a free coupon and the floss q was in the 8/1 p and g. it was on the same page as the mouthwash.

    • Just4myhome

If I do the PG Bounty deal can I include the bounty paper towel 7.99 along with the other items so that my total is $25 or should I exclude the bounty and buy the pg items mentioned so that my total is $25 and will get a bounty pack free ?Please help .

      • parker

You must spend $25 for the items on the front page EXCLUDING the bounty for it to be free.

        • Just4myhome

          Thankyou so much..

    • **Deal Idea**
      Buy: Roc Brilliance $49.99
      Use: -$3 off RoC printable
      Total Due: $46.99
Get Back: $10 ECB and $20 Mail in Rebate, makes it $16.99

After looking at the The Mail-in Rebate, it was only good up to 7/31. So although this would be a great deal, it is a deal that has passed.

    • Carlene

For the B1G1 SoBe do you need to use 1 coupon for 2 SoBe's or 2 coupons for 2 SoBe's ?

      • Kim

1 coupon for 2 Sobes to make them both free.

        • Carlene

          Thank you!

        • Palazesi

CVS in Canton, GA refused to do the Sobe deal this am after I had just done it at that same store last night! I went to antoher CVS to get my 8 free Sobes today…then emailed CVS corporate.

    • Mary_P

I have a $1 off Dawn hand renewal for a home mailer and it is on sale for 97cents! Yeah!

      • marinewife

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you noticed this – I have that one, too! From the “decor done right” Home Made Simple booklet.

    • kidsallgone

Was on my way home and decided to do a spur-of-the-moment CVS stop.
First I went to the “magic coupon machine” and got a few interesting coupons, one of which was for a free pack of Dentyne or Stride gum :)
      I bought:
      (1) Colgate Total toothepaste (2.99)
      (1) Dentyne gum $1.29
      (1) $1 ECB
      (1) $1 off Colgate (coupon expired in July but this CVS will let me use expired coupons up to 30 days!!)
      (1) $1.49 CVS free gum coupon (coupon read “up to $1.49 and when I got home I saw that even though the gum was $1.29, he gave me credit for $1.49!! I don't know if that was his mistake or if the coupon allowed him to do that….not complaining tho:)
      **Paid: $1.03 (including the tax)
      ***Got back: $2 ECB
***So I pretty much got both items for free and made $1
Not bad for a quicky stop :)

***Oh and guess what???!!! Remember that AWESOME deal a couple weeks ago for the Neutrogena Clinical whatever it was…for $34.99 with a rebate of $34.99?? Figured out last night (Aug 1st) that the rebate had to be postmarked by July 31st. So guess what I returned to CVS today!!! I'm so stupid to have let that get away from me!!! grrrrrrrr!!!!! :-(

    • Melissa

I got a coupon from the machine today for 2.00 off any excedrin and they are on sale for 1.99.

    • Erin P Fielding

When I went in today, I bought some of the Nature's Bounty vitamins that were B1G1 Free. They both had peelies for $1.00 off so that was an automatic $2.00 off right away, plus the other coupons I had. I hope someone else can find the same thing!

    • Suemh

Band Aid deal came at just the right time. My hubby had surgery on his back a few weeks ago and the dressing has to be changed twice a day. We are just running out of the bandages that we already had and that the hospital gave us. I bought three packages of bandages, one waterproof, for 11.27, used $3/3 coupon, got $5 ECB, making it just 3.27 for all 3. I spent a little more in CVS this week than usual, but for stuff we actually need and/or want, that's okay. I also bought 3 large bags of M&M's , using 2 $1 off q's and one B2G1 q, and one tube of Colgate with 75¢ q, 1 Gillette Razor with $4 q, and 2 Sobes with B1G1 q. I used 18.98 in ECBs and got back 12.00, spending a total of 8.30 before taxes I am sure that I would have paid that much for just the bandages elsewhere.

I'm trying to stock up on the tide and need some of the charmin tp. I've bought some of these items on different days, but plan to go back and get the rest that I need. Does the Free Bounty 8pk show up as a coupon print out, or did I need to buy all these items at once to hit the spend $25 and get the free bounty basic towels?

      • Valeriems1

I have been wondering the same thing, I bought $12 worth of P&G last night and the cashier said that the reciept would keep a total on the bottom but it didn't. Do you have to get everything together? Thanks for your help

        • Sibylle82

Anyone know the answer? I called CVS and they didn't help much, she told me it should keep track at the bottom of my receipt, but like you there was no info about it.

          • Alexis

I did a similar deal a few weeks ago with free Charmin, and had to buy it all at once (including the Charmin). The price of the Charmin was deducted to make it free, as opposed to printing out a coupon. So, get all of your P&G stuff and the Bounty Basic together.

            • Sibylle82

              Thanks, this clears everything up!!

        • Kmiel

I work @ CVS. When you are getting a free item you have to buy it all at once( including the item.) However the register will keep up with stuff for extra bucks. Say if you spend $10 in Nivea and you get $3 in extra care bucks it will keep up with that throughout the week.

      • Melissa H

My transaction to get the free Bounty was strange … I bought 3 packs of Pampers (NB, b/c we were almost out, and now low and behold, literally two days later, the NB don't fit my daughter! – At least I got free Bounty out of it and I can gift the dipes or save in case we have a 3rd, lol) … Anyway, sorry … 3 packs of Pampers @ $8.88 to hit the $25 minimum P&G products for the free Bounty … I had the Bounty in my cart but didn't put it up on the register until everything but the payment had been processed on my transaction, because I wasn't sure how it would work … The cashier checked to make sure I hit the $25 minimum with the right products, and that's all! He didn't scan the Bounty and then hit total again for them to come off as a promotional item or CVS q, he didn't complete transaction 1 and then a q print for them and then we do a separate transaction with that, and I anticipated at least one or the other happening … He didn't scan my paper towels at all … He just essentially gave them to me … I thought that was completely bizarre, because don't they need to scan it for inventory purposes? I asked him a few times in a few different ways if there was anything he or I needed to do regarding getting the paper towels, and he said no and sent me on my way … I mean, I'm not complaining, I got my free paper towels and I know I got them because I made a qualifying purchase, but it was definitely my strangest CVS transaction (or lack thereof) to date …

        • Valeriems1

So did it print a coupon for Free Bounty Paper Towel?

          • Melissa H

Nope, the receipt from the qualifying transaction didn't print a coupon … It also doesn't say anything about receiving the deal (anything similar to 'Limit Reached') at the bottom of the receipt … And like I said, he didn't scan them and then discount them off or anything of the sort … Weird huh?

        • DonnaTN

You could return your diapers for a different size, just bring in your receipt :)

          • Melissa H

I could … but we only use Pampers for NB and then switch to Huggies from there on out, since the NB Swaddlers are the only dipes left that Pampers didn't change over to the Dry Max/Baby Dry … I've read enough horrible reviews from parents on every single website I've checked on about the Dry Max/Baby Dry leaking that I don't even want to try them, esp when I know that Huggies don't leak, at least they don't with my son :) Thanks for the suggestion though :)

    • RReese76

When it says, “LIMIT 1” or “LIMIT 2″… is that enforced through your card by automatically detecting you reached the limit and you won't receive the ECB or is this store enforced and we could obtain the same items by coming back another time or going to another store?

      • Suemh

It is tracked through your card.

      • Valeriems1

If it is an offer getting extra bucks back it is for the weekly sale duration. If it doesn't have extra bucks coming back it is per transaction, meaning you can go to your car and put your bags away and go right back in a do it again.

    • WynetteC

Fuze drinks were on sale at my CVS last night 4 for $5. They also had a yellow tag showing you get $5 ECB when you buy $10 worth of Fuze drinks offer valid 8/1- 8/7. There was a tear pad right in front of the display of Fuze for .75 off 1 any Fuze drink.
      Buy 8 Fuze drinks = $10
Use (8) .75 cents off any one Fuze drink tearpad
      Total due : $4 + tax
Get Back $ 5 ECB which means it is $1 moneymaker

      • Freedomspradley1

What CVS do you shop? I just ran by one in Columbia, SC over lunch and they had the ECB deal but no q's.

        • WynetteC

It's the CVS in West Georgia. Sorry about that! They also had other tear pads right next to the Fuze tearpads: One was 35 cents off one sierra mist 20 oz. bottle, and 50 cents off any V8 drink 16. oz or less, and $1 off wyb 3 smart water bottles. Perhaps the vendor who stocks the drinks was feeling generous with the tear pads. I usually miss out on the tear pads in the grocery store but this CVS was loaded with them.

    • Ronda

Question: Last week I had to get a raincheck for the photo book that had the ECB for $7.99 after purchase. This week they have the same photo book on sale for BOGO. Can I use my raincheck on this special since I am actually paying for one?

      • I can't answer that for sure, but it would seem like it would work.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

If the item price is still $7.99, then let the normal transaction complete; pay for it or whatever normally you would and at the end hand in the raincheck to the cashier for ECB printout because you are now buying and actually just bought one stated item on the raincheck-and the ECB kicks in; thus, you are eligible for the ecb promised. If any close-minded employee gives you a problem, then just keep insisting because that is how CVs works.

Argument could be made as if it is a “double dip”but its ok because the ECB is coming from the manuf. or separate fund that was already giving that deal anyway. So, I am assuming that the logic works and your transaction should proceed.

      • Firstbrownie

Also, I had a $3 off 6X8 or larger photobook print off when I made mine last week. Keep an eye out for that. The worker told me it was printing off for every photo order.

    • guest

Today was my first day out to CVS with coupons in hand! I am concerned that I didn't get the deal I was supposed to. Let me know what you guys think and I will see if I should go back!

I bought the following: 2 lipton tea bags, 1 skippy peanut butter, 3 chef b raviol (thinking I would get the $3 ECB wyb $10) altoid, colgate total toothpaste, head and shoulder shampoo, head and shoulder conditioner, covergirl blush and covergirl lipstick.

All of this was done on 1 transaction where I could get my $4 off $20 purchase…

I rec'vd $2 ecb for the head and shoulders, $2 ecb for colgate toothpaste, and $1 ecb for altoids! I DID NOT rec'v the $3 ecb for the purchase of $10 items….is this because I didn't do a seperate transaction? I'm new at this and just want to make sure I do this correctly in the furture!

In the end, I spend a total of $7.85 because I had a gift card to cover the other expenses…so I'm looking at this as though I really only spent $2.85 because of the $5 in ecb!!

      Thanks Jenny!!

      • 3monkeysmom

Sorry you had trouble…it will get easier with time :-)
It looks like those are two seperate deals. The skippy and the lipton were part of one deal. The Chef Boyardee was part of another. They were both “spend $10, get $3 ECB” deals so I can see where it was confusing :-)
You will need $2.34 worth of stuff (skippy, lipton, ragu, hellman's mayo) to complete the Skippy/Lipton deal to get your $3 ECB.
And you will need $6.25 worth of stuff (chef boyardee, david's sunflower seeds, hunt's snack pack pudding, act II popcorn, orville redenbacher popcorn, poppycock) to complete the Chef Boyardee deal.
The great thing is they keep up with your purchases through your card so what you've already bought will count towards the $10 so when you go back in, just buy what you need to get to the $10 mark and your ECB will print :-)

    • Dmbnpj

Please help me out on this, how can I use more than one BOGO Sobe coupon if they specifically say “one coupon per purchase?”

      • 3monkeysmom

Pretty sure that just means one coupon per item….if it said “one coupon per transaction” you could only use one.

      • aczek16

The store itself is offering a BOGO on Sobe water (a fair deal) however, you can you also use your BOGO coupon (printed) to make BOTH FREE. so you are only using one coupon. at target they wouldnt let me do this kind of deal :/ hope you have better luck!

      • Valeriems1

it means you cannot use two BOGO free coupons for the same product (puchase).

EX: you cannot purchase two sobes and use two BOGO coupons, but you can buy 4 sobes and use 2 BOGO coupons

Hopefully this make sense. :) Im sure someone else can explain it better

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

A “purchase” in this scenario (as the Q. suggests) is 2 Sobe bottles scanned on a receipt/register. (You may have multiple “purchases” in one “transaction”-a transaction may have multiple purchases.)

Thus, only one of this b1g1 Q can be used towards 2 bottles of Sobe. Hence, it is “one per purchase”-you can not use a second of the same Q. and apply to the other remaining bottle of that single pair. (Note- a $ off Q. is a different combination which could be used in CVS logic).

With that said, you may buy multiple quantity in even numbers and use b1g1 Qs in the same manner in the same transaction. Also, note; generally store sales b1g1 are irrespective of manuf Qs (though some retailers/stores are refusing the use of manuf Q. with their store b1g1 sales-which is logically flawed)

    • Giveme1reason

this is a good one— did my CVS trip tonight and was told that the Conair ECBs were only good on LARGE hair APPLIANCES and that hair brushes were NOT APPLIANCES…. WHAT??? the ad did not specify brushes as excluded so I “argued” and won, but was still annoyed. What kind of term is appliance in relatio to hair, anyway??? :-) Go my $5 ECBs though, so I left happy.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Definition 1 for Appliance:- A device or instrument designed to perform a specific function, especially an electrical device, such as a toaster, for household use

Def. 2:- Something, as a machine, devised for a particular function: apparatus, contraption, contrivance, device

Def. 3:- (Medical Dictionary) A dental or surgical device designed to perform a therapeutic or corrective function

Meaning #1: a device that very useful for a particular job
Synonyms: contraption, contrivance, convenience, gadget, gizmo, gismo, widget

Meaning #2: durable goods for home or office use

Looks like you win, espcecially if the device you have is electrical

Grabbed some good clearance finds at my 2 local(ish) CVS'.
Wheat Thins and Triscuit for $1
Mrs. Fields 8 pk Cookies for $1
small box of Milano cookies for $1, only had 8 in it, probably not the best deal but my girls were hungry :-)
Clorox Greenworks Glass Cleaner and All-Purpose cleaner for $1.07…i tried looking for some coupons when I got home but can't find any..saw that there WAS one on their facebook page but the link to it is messed up. also signed up for their newsletter b/c it said you would get a $1 coupon but still no newsletter or coupon :-) But $1.07 was an awesome deal on these anyway!!
Also grabbed a few of the Triaminc and Dimetapp that was on clearance!!

    • Sharon

I just came from CVS a bit ago. The cashier gave me the print out slip to get the $4 coupon with your email address. She also informed me a customer told her that the little coupon machine that you scan your CVS card under, prints different coupons everytime you scan it. Welllll….. it does :-). I scanned it 2 times back to back and got 4 different coupons. Apparently they are ONE DAY ONLY shopping, but that is still kinda neat.

      • Ariel

Hi! Always be sure to scan your card when you go into CVS. It does print out a few coupons each visit. Some are one day only, but not all. Quite a few of the coupons that print don't expire for a week or 2, so be sure to always check the expiration date so that you don't miss out on a great discount!

    • Kathleen

Question…..my girlfriend and I are going to CVS for the first time. We just took the Coupon 101 classs and we are CONFUSED! So we thought we would start with Colgate toothpaste….for $2.99 with a .75 coupon and $2.00 ECBs, then buy the 2nd tube for $2.99 with a .75 coupon and the $2.00 ECBs. So we would be paying $2.48 for 2 tubes of toothpaste???? Is this a good deal???? We also haven't received our $4 coupon with your email address, so if we get that we could put it towards this sale??? HELP!

      • Donna

Hi Kathleen, that would be a good start for CVS. You would actually pay $2.48 out of pocket for two tubes of toothpaste, but you will end up with a $2 ECB, which will actually make it .48 for 2 tubes…so yes, that is a good deal. You have to watch the limits at CVS, sometimes its a limit of one deal, but in this case, it is a limit of 2. Evenutally, you will be getting toothpaste totally free though. Yes, if you had the $4 coupon you could have used it. You would have had to bought both tubes together ($5.98-1.50 in coupons) so you would have paid .48 and ended up with $4 in ECB's.

      • Valeriems1

The $4 coupon they send you is for $4 off $20 purchase

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Since you have already purchased Colgate, you may do this one after you receive your $4 off 20 Q.

        Buy 5 Crest Rinses (1 L) for a total of 19.95
Add a filler such as caramel candy for 33 cents

        Use $4 off Q
        5 $2 Off crest Qs
        $2 ECB

        Due: 4.28 (pay cash/credit)

        get back $10 ECB

or you may play around with scenario above and mix and match. I also highly doubt that you wopuld get $4 Off Q in time

        Buy Gillette proGlide $9.97
        Use $4 manuf Q and your $ 2 ECB
        due $3.97

        Get back $5ECB

You may then go ahead and use this $5 ECB (instead of $2 ECB) to the above transaction and due-much smaller amount and get back $10 ECB

So, you still have some “moneymaker”; however, it looks like you will have to use some more cash with ur $2 ECB in hand to get something more meaningful to get the ball rolling

        You got the idea !

    • ChrissyK

My SS had a coupon for $3/3 Band-Aid, Neosporin, Purell, Cortaid, J&J Red Cross: didn't see this under the deal listed above but it makes it a great deal, especially since you get $5 ECBs! (Someone may have already noted this, I just didn't read all of the comments)

      • Suemh

I used that coupon to buy 3 boxes of bandages that we need. After coupon and ECBs, I paid just 3.47.

    • Hootiesoftball

Wynette C., I have been looking all day at various stores for the Fuze coupons, if I sent you the $$ to get me a few, could you? Thanks!

    • Klpopwell

I'm new to CVSing; I'm trying to get some major ECB's to help pay for my monthly prescription. I know the Gillete ProGlide and Venus Embrace razors said Limit 1, is that just limit 1 of any of those razors or can I buy both and get $5 ECB twice?

      • 3monkeysmom

Sorry, but you can't use ECBs to pay for prescriptions. They state at the bottom they can't be used for prescriptions, gift cards, alcohol, tobacco, stamps, money orders or lotto tickets.
        Sorry :-)

    • Kris

Had my first problem with CVS (Roanoke, VA). I was getting the Playtex 36 ct for 6.99(get 3ECB back) and then a box of 18 ct. I handed the cashier a $1/1 coupon and then a buy a 36ct get an 18ct free. The BOGO wouldn't ring up so she restarted the transaction and scanned it first. I told her the $1/1 had to be done first and she said I couldn't use both. I thought I could. Am I wrong?

      • Suemh

I have always been able to do this at my store, but some coupons are coded differently. Some cashiers would push it through anyway.

    • Caritob40

Does anybody know if there is a website like this one BUT for the supermarkets in NY area????

      • Suemh

Check out becentsable(dot)net. Click on “store deals” and then scroll down to New York. HTH

    • Valerie@iheartcvs.com

Has anyone got an email from CVS for $ off $$ today? I signed up but I still have not received one and I heard they send them out on Thursday's. Does anyone have one they can email me? Thanks

    • Sharon29_99

I'm SO frustrated with CVS! Does anyone else find this….it doesn't seem to matter when I go to CVS or which one I go to…they are always out of stock of the ECB things! I've tried going early in the week, and late in the week (thinking maybe they will have restocked..?) and it never fails. Empty shelves! I go in with all my coupons and plans to make up the best ECB scenarios I can after I've filled my cart with what I can find. And today, for example, I could only find 1 thing from my list of about 20!! Hard to make up a scenario with 1 thing! Arrrggghhh!!!! I might just be done with CVS unless anyone has any tips!

      • Alexis

I understand! I got a raincheck for the first time last week on the Pampers bix box ECB deal. Have you tried asking for rainchecks?

        • Sharon29_99

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did try asking for a raincheck for a couple of products about 8 months ago when I was first couponing. It took them about a month to get the products in, and it took the girl forever to fill out the rainchecks! But maybe that wasn't typical. I'll give it another shot… thanks!

      • Suemh

Get rainchecks. I know that it seems like a hassle but you will still get your ecbs when you buy the product. And, when you use the ecbs that they have to print for you, they will take away from your taxable total, meaning that not only do you save on your purchase, but also on the tax. For instance, I have a $7 ecb that I got after using a raincheck. When I use that ecb, it will take $7 off my subtotal AND 42¢ (6% in SC) off my tax because I will not have to pay tax on that portion.. I love ecbs that they have to print for me.

      • Nancy

Talk to the manager of the store and find out when their truck comes in. With my CVS it's usually on Tuesday mornings.

Ask the manager when he thinks he'll have the new stock unloaded (usually it takes them about 2 hours to get the boxes off the truck and set up in the store).
Let him know what it is that you're looking for and they should be more than happy to help you plan your purchases.

This happens to me at Rite Aid quite a bit and finally one of the associates told me to just come in on Saturday nights when they get the truck unloaded and they would have plenty of what I was looking for.

Also, please be aware that CVS will only put out so many items on their shelf. This happened to me during the Pampers big pack $10 ECB last week. They told me they only put out 3 boxes of each size. So when I asked them for a raincheck they just went out back and pulled a box for me. Sometimes it gets real busy and they can't keep up with restocking the shelves.

        Hope this helps!

    • Amysbrock

When doing the free bounty paper towels, do I have to reach the $25 before or after my coupons? I plan on buying pampers & dawn, but have coupons for both. Hope someone can help! Thanks!

      • Frances

Before the coupons :) I bought the 3 diapers, and got the 3 wipes free (with the coupon when you buy diapers) and use 3 coupons on the diapers themselves and got the paper towels free. :)

    • Emilydianne808

i have never cvs'd before i really want to! what scenarios do u guys suggest for my 1st time. (it is a bit confusing 4 me)

      • Suemh

If I were just starting and did not want or need anything in particular, I would do Jenny's first scenario. I don't know what coupons you have. But you could then buy the Gillette Razor using the $4 off coupon. That would make it 4.79. Use your $3 ECBs from your first transaction and pay 1.79 plus tax. You would then get a $5 ECB to start next week. You have spent 5.52 (plus tax) out of pocket, but you now have a $5 ECB. This means that you bought 1 Colgate, 1Altoids, and 1 Gillette Fusion Razor for just 52¢ plus tax. Remember that you always have to pay tax on the full amount.

    • Jen

Goldfish were 2.19 at my CVS

    • Kristen Meek

I am new to this whole thing… I need some help. Lets say I buy 2 of the Colgate at 2.99. I print off two q for .75. The coupon says limit one coupon per household. I am not able to give this coupon twice during this one transaction, right? I would need to make a 2nd transaction the next day?

      • Michelle J

You can use both of them in one transaction. :)
