If there is something that you need then use this for that, or else just save it for a better week.  Think of this as $4 earned to go towards paper towels, toilet paper or diapers.  Things that you needthat we can slowly earn CVS money to get for free!

    • Kellie

Thanks so much for plans they are so helpful. I wanted to let everyone know about a coupon you can get at CVS.com. If you take a quiz called ReadyFill Health IQ Quiz you will get a coupon for $5 of $25.

    • Michelle

My Glade Fragrance Collection coupon from 5/3 SS expired on June 27. Did any of you guys get coupons with different expiration dates?

    • Well, this is a good week for me because we are in dire need of toothpaste, deodorant and mouthwash!

I worked out a deal using what I have. I don’t think it’s awesome but I was wondering if someone could tell me how the tax would work on this (I live in South Carolina).

      (1) Sensodyne toothpaste
      (1) Act mouthwash
      (1) Colgate toothpaste twin pack
      (1) Secret deodorant
      – $1 Sensodyne coupon
      – $1 Act mouthwash coupon
      – $0.75 Colgate coupon

      *Get $7 ECBs back

This brings my total without coupons to $17.96. I have a $4/$20 coupon and $13.98 in ECBs. I figured it out that if I find a filler item to take me to $20, then I can spend less out of pocket. But because I’m not sure how tax works, I don’t know how to make sure I find a filler item at the right price. I need it to be a little more than $20 total because if it equaled $20 exactly then I would end up needing to pay $13.21, so I need enough to make up to my $13.98 ECBs.

I don’t know if this makes sense – this is really my first time using ECBs that I learned last time to try to make more ECBs. But if someone could help me out, that would be great!

    • Ashley

If my total is $2.00 and I pay with my ECB’s that total $9 do I lose the $7.00?

    • Michelle

On the Sensodyne/Aquafresh deal, my checker always asks for my card before they start scanning my purchases. If the price of the toothpaste is on sale for $4.99, the $2 coupon will not work and trying to circumvent the computer system to make it work is not accurate scales.

    • Michelle

However, we could use some cheap dental item that is like $1 and maybe we have a coupon for it…..or something else to make the $2 coupon deal work.

    • Delores

My All You coupon for the candle is $3. :( But I’ll still take the $3 profit! Thanks, Jenny, for your work.

    • heather

Ashley (#3): Yes, you would lose the $7 :(

    • LindaB

      RE: #3
You would lose $7.00. What I would do is…try to find something like bath tissue or paper towels that cost at least $7.00 to add to your shopping list that way you get something you could always use. BUT if $9.00 is the only ECB you have and it is not close to expiring why not get deal first mentioned? And just use your profit to buy your $2.00 item and still have $2.00 left?
      **Deal Idea**
Buy: (1) Glade Fragrance Collection product
      Use: -$4 off coupon

Get Back: $6.99, you make $4 profit!

    • Samantha

I’m pretty sure that there was a $4 off clairol natural instincts coupon in the 8/02 P&G which would make the loving care deal a $1 money maker. $4.99 minus $4.00 = .99 with $2 ECB
I didn’t get that coupon in my local paper, but some of the bigger papers had it.

    • .Jennifer

$2 ECB wyb (2) Gold Emblem Saltines, Honey Grahams or Absolutely Divine Cookies at $2.50 ea Limit 1

The coupon spitting machine has been giving me coupons for $1 off Absolutely Divine cookies this week. That would make each bag $.50 and the cappuccino almond are so good!

    • Amanda

If you use the $2 off Any Duracell Saver Pack (8-pack AA/AAA) from the K-Mart Saver, the deal gets even sweeter! You can only use one coupon per purchase though.

    • Kim

Could someone please explain this coupon spitting machine? Where is it and how do I use it? What is it?

    • AngthecouponNERD

      Kim –
Some CVS locations have a red price scanner machine. It may be near the entrance, pharmacy, or just in the center of the store….
Scan your CVS card, and out comes a coupon!

    • ZJ

    • amber

-$4 off any Glade Fragrance Collection coupon on select products???

My august allyou mag had a $3.00 Q??

    • Lindsey

FYI- My magic coupon machine is BLUE. Its right in front of the magazines… I never knew it existed til i scanned the tampons to see if it would come up as free. It didn’t so I wasn’t sure that it was right… I’ll be swinging by CVS again to print more magic coupons! Oh. It only let me get one set from my card- don’t you guys get 2?

    • Lisa G

My $4 q from the 5/3 SS also has an exp. date of 6/27. bummer.

    • Allison

If you ask your cashier to wait till the end of the transaction to scan your card most are more than happy to help you out. My cashier is always trying to bend over backwards to help make my transaction work. Anyway it is worth asking all they can do is say no. Hope this helps.

    • Kam

Does anyone know if there is a coupon machine at the CVS in Ballentine? Never knew this!

    • Learning2CouponFL

I think that she means that the coupon is attached to select products. Like a peelie or hang tag. At least that’s the way I read it.

I keep scanning my card until a message shows up on the screen that says there aren’t any more coupons available. I’ve never counted how many times it will print but I think it’s usually around 3-4.

    • .Jennifer

Oh sorry. Should have explained that. I have been told that right now only new or moved/remodeled stores in SC are getting the coupon machines.

    • Chrissy

If I wait until Saturday night, I would assume the new sales prices for the new week are already in, so I plan on getting the B1G1 free Revlon cosmetics combined with this week’s Revlon Buy $15 get $7 ECB deal to get a really good deal on some cosmetics!

    • Krystal

I have a $10.00 off $50.00 coupon which is expiring on Monday, any suggestions on how to make the best of it and i also have $3.00 in ECB’s?? Pls help!

    • Emily

We have a price scanner machine in Virgina that is gray, but I scanned my card and it just says “error, item not found.” Boo!

    • Emily

Does anyone know about any of these scanners in the Birmingham area? I’ve never seen one – just ones to check the price on items.

    • Jennifer G

There’s a $0.55/1 Skippy Peanut Butter in the “Raise your hand for savings” booklet from Publix; expires 9/9

    • jennifer

im new to this, so this may be a stupid question, but will cvs give overage on the bayer meter with the $30 coupon?

    • Ln

The CVS on Chalkville Mountain Rd. in Trussville has a scanner towards the back by the pharmacy. And the CVS in Moody has a scanner right up front when you walk in. Sometimes it will give you coupons once and sometimes twice. I have found that if I have been spending more money at CVS, there tends to be more coupons to print out and for better items. Hope this helps!

    • Ln

Be careful when you scan your card. A few times I was getting the “error, item not found” screen and I figured out the scanner was actually scanning one of the other cards on my key ring. No telling what good deals I missed.

    • Ln

Another thing, the CVS’s I mentioned above in the Birmingham area with the coupon machines/price scanners are both newer stores. I think the one in Trussville is a couple of years old or so and the one is Moody is brand new. And I also keep scanning my card until no more coupons spit out. Though, it’s only ever spit them out twice in a row before I get the message to come back the next day. The next day comment, theoretically to me, means that you could get coupons everyday. I don’t know that for sure because I don’t want to go to CVS everyday to try it out. And sometimes it only spits out one coupon per scan and sometimes it spits out 4 or 5.

    • Laura

BE AWARE! I just got back from CVS and it’s the Energizer batteries and not the Duracell that qualify for the ECBs. So I just spent all my ECB dollars and got nothing! Drat.

      • Jenny

All the deals above start Sunday at CVS. The current weeks deals are in an older post. You can return the batteries though and get store credit to use (makes it like you had ECB’s).

    • LA929

Is there a printable $30 off Bayer Contour on-line anywhere.

There are coupon books at KMart right now which say $62 on the front- these are all manuq’s- there are two Glade q’s in here. One is Save $2 on any reed diffuser or multi-wick candle and the other is save $1 on any 4.9oz soy candle.

I see no one has commented on your tax situation. I am no mathematician but I can tell you what I would do. Basically you have a several options.
      1) purchase something for at least $2.04 that you need but that doesnt usually have a coupon. Then dig the money out of the couch or off the floor board of the car to pay for the tax and dont worry about it, or
      2) purchase a food or food items that will bring your total up to $20.00 without adding anymore tax (remember no tax on food). Use a coupon for these items and that will bring your total back down. The Reese coupon for B1G1 in last weeks paper would be a good one. The price right now is 2/$1.00 (don’t know what next weeks price is) so you would get 6 use 3 q’s and only pay $1.50.
3)Purchase something for around $3.00 that you can use a coupon for and that will give you another ECB back. This would meet all your “total” requirements. But you will have a little OOP for tax.
From what I’ve learned on this site is, The only way to reduce the tax or not pay tax is to reduce the total with coupons not ECB’s. If you have a coupon for a product that would result in overage this would subtract some of your tax.
      I hope this helps.

    • Steve

Does anybody know if you can repeat the ReadyFill Coupons. That, is after using the ones from your first book, then getting a second book. Can you then use the coupons out of the second book?

    • sandy

      Steve #47
If your cvs isn’t out of them by now they will probably give you another one if you ask.

    • sandy

For those asking about where to get $4 off $20 coupons. They are in a booklet that you get at the pharmacy at cvs. You get the booklet by asking someone that works in the pharmacy about their ready refill program. You “DO NOT” have to sign up for ready refill to receive the coupon book. They 1st told me they couldn’t give me the coupons unless I signed up for the program. I pointed to the sign and *politely* told him that the sign on the counter said that I only have to ask about the program. He smiled and handed me 2 books.

    • Melissa

I stopped at the CVS on College Park Road in Goose Creek,SC to get my glad deals and the sales clerk, that we know, said that they don’t print out the ECB deals on Saturday night anymore. So that means, for that store you will have to get the Sunday deals on Sunday.

    • kim

I asked for a second coupon book from the pharmacy for and was told it was 1 per person.

    • Ali

On the October issue of Woman’s Day magazine I found a bunch of coupons and one for $4.00 off on any Glade Sense & Spray.

    • Sandy #46, thanks so much!

One other question for someone – can I use two of the Act mouthwash coupons if I buy two of them (one coupon for each)? It says on the coupon “one coupon per purchase” so I’m not sure how to determine what that means.

    • Deb

I don’t have this in my August issue. -$3 off Glade Fragrance Collection August All You Magazine

I have Buy any Glade Fabic and Air Odor Eliminator and get one Free.

    • .Jennifer

I go everyday and go in just to scan my card (what I drive by it everyday might as well!) and I usually get two coupons a day, twice I have only gotten one coupon and I’ve never gotten more than two coupons.

Most weeks I get the same coupons everyday but last week (one of the days I only got one coupon) I got a different coupon to save $1 on toothpaste.

    • benz1968

There is a $2 off on any reed diffusers or multi wick candles Frangrance Collection manufacturer coupon exp 10/03/09 in the Kmart Total Savings $62! look inside coupon booklet. I found these at the end of the registers (where a bagger would normally stand)

    • I think I’ll just be doing the glade deal & using my $4 ECB towards my Redken conditioner.

    • just got back from cvs subtotal was $-.30, OOP $1.33. I got 2 diffusers, 2 clairol natural instincts, 1 dawn detergent, 1 bounce bar, 1 hershey, and 1 cvs hand soap. i used $10.58 in ebcs and got back $9.99.

    • Shanna

Could someone tell me how to get the Reinventing Beauty mag.? Thank you

    • susie

Just asking again….can you really shop for both weeks on Saturday night?

    • Susie, Yes you can, but depending on the store, sometimes your ecb will not print. So be careful. I would go as late as possible, they are more chances that you would get both deals out of them.

    • Lindsey

You didn’t mention the Dawn deal. Anyone have qs for this? I know they will be in SOME papers Sunday… just want to be sure I have some for backup!

    • Dianne

The Reinventing Beauty mag is up at the front of the store in a rack with the sale flyers in my CVS.

    • ***Question***
with the diffuser, once i remove the silver cap, does the brown cap just sit on top of the bottle unsecured??? the directions were not to helpful…thanks in advance!

    • Samantha

“-$4 off any Glade Fragrance Collection coupon on select products”

Where did this coupon comes from?????

    • Hana

CVS changes all their weekly deal signs on Sat. to prep for the new week…once the signs are up…you can use the new week’s deals, and the last week’s deals…check with your store, for one near me this is by 5:00pm, and another one near me, it is around 8:00pm…

    • Cindy in Atlanta

Do you have to pay for the Reinventing Beauty Magazine? It has a price on it, so I never pick it up. Thanks!

    • the actual magazine you have to pay for, but you can find the coupon inserts next to the weekly ad or near the register

    • Samantha

Just wanted everyone to know that I’ve used the $5 off $25 coupon 3 times now. There doesn’t seem to be a limit on how many times you can take the CVS quiz.

    • Jennifer

Just so everyone knows I bought the contact solution twin packs and it says on here that you get 3 ECB’s for each twim pack but according to the ad at the register they are on sale for $7.99 but with out ECB’s!!! So it is still a good deal but you won’t get ECB’s for the deal. Thank you Jenni for all the hard work.

    • Kelly

Hey guys- I have a $2.00 off coupon for a Fusion Razor as well as a seperate coupon for a free body wash wyb a Fusion razor. Will I be able to use both coupons on one razor? I am not sure if the free body wash coupon is considered a coupon for the razor or for the body wash? Anyone know how those sort of coupons work? Thanks!

    • leigh

I went tonight to do the sales for next week and I used those exact 2 coupons and it worked just fine.

    • susie

      Thanks Hana and Dallas-Metro!

    • Kim

yeah for CVS deals on Saturday night – instead of the mad dash before church. Went tonight got the Glade candle, the Bounce dryer bar, 2 jars of Skippy peanut butter and a CVS hand soap. $2.54 OOP and $9.99 in ECB for next trip. (Almost a dollar of that was tax :( )

    • Deb

I should have done that too Kim…now I’ll be the “dasher” tomorrow morning :)

    • Tiffani

if you use the free gillette shampoo wyb gillette fusion razor coupon, you will get $1ECB for the shampoo.

    • Kelly-
The $2/1 razor q is for the razor and the FREE body wash or FREE shampoo is for the other product. The razor is just a qualifying item, so you CAN buy 2 and use 2 coupons. As a matter of fact, you can combine deals this week b/c the Gillette Shampoo spits out an ECB… so get one Razor and one Shampoo and use both q’s… OOP: $6.99 Earn: $4 ECB’s so $1.49/ea. It is a good deal if you use it with a $/$$ q. HTH!

    • Cherise

What is the PG? And where do I get it?

    • meg

Deb #54, the glade cpn is on page 115. hth.

    • Lindsey

      Anyone found any Dawn Qs?

    • Kelly

      Thanks for your help guys!

      Deb #54- I have a $2 Q instead of $3??? Not sure why they are all different…

    • L.

Ok so I feel the need to help w/ some claification issues w/ CVS and coupons. I am a cashier there and hope this helps. First, go to pharmacy and ask for the readyfill coupon booklet. It contains really good coupons. Plus there is not limit on how many times you can use them for different purchases. So try to get more than one book. Also, go online and fill out the readyfill survey to get another coupon.(This can only be used once per card) CVS cashiers can take extrabucks on any purchase no matter how many coupons you are using. They are like instore money and have some exclusions on the fine print. They expire a month from the time you get them, and can be priced down, but I suggest finding a filler item to get the most out of them. Also, the coupon has to match the card for which they were printed out for. (Same for all printed in-store coupons) Some stores won’t take Target, or Rite-aid coupons, I know they won’t scan, but I’m not sure why we won’t take them. Also, Wal-greens coupons WILL scan so we usually can take them including register rewards from Wal-greens which is kinda cool. If you guys have any other questions let me know I will be happy to answer them the best I can.

    • Amelia

Several times over the last few weeks I bought the razor the body wash and the shampoo with filler in one transaction and used a 4 off 20 and all of the coupons. It has worked 4-5 times (I am making gift baskets for Christmas)

    • Chrissy

I was just wondering if anyone shops the five forks cvs in SC. If anyone does, what is considered a competitors coupon. I had a terrible experience there today. I would appreciate any help.

      thank you,

    • there are some dawn q’s that expire 8/31, not sure which insert

    • Amanda K

Just to let everyone know there is $1.00/1 off Nutri Serums coupon in the September issue of the All You magazine on page 155.

Jenny thanks for all your hard work!!!!!

    • Katie

There are $3 off coupons in the 8/30 AJC in a little Kroger insert if anyone else wants to be on the look out for them.

    • Monalisa

      # 33 I have looked everywhere I could think of for one of those 30/1 coupons with no luck.

    • Monalisa

does anyone live in marietta Georgia and maybe have an extra 30/1 contour meter? Or one they dont want to use?

    • Robin

Meg–#78. What does hth stand for?

    • Val

I noticed that CVS has the Febreze flameless luminary started kit. It offers $2.00 ECB and I have a $4.00 MC from today’s insert. Does anyone know what these retail for? The price is not listed in the ad. Thanks

    • julia

Can I use a $5 off $25, a $4 off $20, and a $3 off of $15 all in the same purchase or is there a rule aganist that?

    • Jennifer

Last night I bought the two twin packs of contact solution and posted on here that you did not get ECB’s. Well I miss read the add and so did the sales person. The ECB’s and $7.99 for twin pack are for the rewetting drops or the single bottles of contact solution. My cashier gave me the two twin packs of renu for 7.99 each but didn’t get ECB’s but I guess I really got a deal beacause the 7.99 was for the rewetting drop two pack.

    • Katie

Val, the starter kit was like $12 or 14 or something like that. (I can’t remember whether the price was before or after ECB)

    • Dianne

There was no $3 Glade Fragrance Collection coupon through your link for me. Is there a certain zip code to use or will it be available later today? I was hoping to get this since I don’t have the $4 Q. Thanks!

    • Kayleen

Try going to red plums website for the coupon. I didn’t see it through that link either but found it plus some different coupons on their website.

    • Quen

Dianne, I found it using zip code 48601.

    • julia

Are we only suppossed to be able to use 1 of the readyfill $5 off $25 coupon because the cashier wouldn’t let me use one today and I used one last week?

    • Chris

Okay ladies, I’m a single guy, so the CVS deals on diapers, hair coloring products, and anti-wrinkle creams are not as alluring to me as they may be to the rest of this community. With that said, it can take me weeks to find a good set of deals at CVS. This week was pretty good for me. :-)

      Glade Scented Reed Diffuser $6.99
      Bounce Dryer Bar 2ct $3.99
Gillette Fusion Razor (with two blades) $8.99
1 piece of carmel candy $0.33
      Sub-Total $20.30

Used $4 off $20 purchase coupon ***USE FIRST***

      $2 off Gelette Razon
      $3 off Glade product
      $1 off Bounce
used $6 ecb from previous pruchase

      Total paid $5.59
      New exb earned $10.99

      I made $5.40

      Woo-Hoo, Now I’m a CVS believer!

    • Quen

Julia, You can only print 1 unique bar code coupon from each computer. If you want another coupon, you’ll have to take the quiz again from a different computer.

    • brittany

I had a great day at CVS!!! I got one glade frangence collection candle, bounce dryer bar, 4 pepsi’s, 4 newspapers for $1.70 OOP. I started with $7.58 ECB.

The best part was that I met a 20-something couponing GUY!! I felt so proud and it put a smile on my face. It would be like my husband couponing – I’m pretty sure pigs haven’t started to fly yet.

Frebreze luminary started set is 14.99 before ECB

      Thanks JENNY and happy couponing!!

    • Patty Huckabee

Re. the Grand Plan and the multiple Buy #1 #2, does this mean you are doing separate transactions or going multiple days? I don’t understand.

      • Jenny

I do multiple transactions in the same day. Just get everything in the basket at the same time and then put transactions together and coupons with them so when you get up to the counter you are all set to checkout. If someone comes up behind you then finish the transaction you are on and jump to the back of the line.

    • julia

      Thanks Quen

    • Amber

I’m a new CVSer and today when I bought 2 Old Spice deodorants, using my $1 off 2 coupon. . .I didn’t get an ECB. Looking at the scan of the circular after the shopping trip, I realized that it’s not in this new week’s circular. I’m glad that I got both for a total of $5 before tax, which is cheaper than I would have normally paid with no coupon.

Hoping things will get better when my coupon stash grows! :-)

    • Amber

OK. . .so I’m a newbie!!! I see that Old Spice Ever Clear is what you get an ECB for!!! Oops!

    • Dianne

Thanks Quen! Didn’t thank you sooner because I was out to the movies with my DH…got free tickets (of course) awhile back buying cereal. Funny how it was more even enjoyable because it was free! I really love my deals & Southern Savers!

    • Shannon

      Robin #90

      HTH = hope that helps

    • Dianne

FYI…If anyone has any Glade Fragrance Collection Qs left over, I used my free 2 oz. soy candle Qs at Walmart. It sells for $2.97 and I noticed that the $3 off is for any item in this collection so it would be free.

    • Don’t mean to ask a hot/taboo question, but I am wondering what is the logic behind printable coupons being zip code specific? For example, not all zip codes had the glade coupon. Actually, I guess this question would apply to inserts as well since they seem to vary so greatly.

Just for giggles I entered 90210 and I see that a product is sold under two names (like Hellmen’s & Best Foods), so same coupons as in my zip code, but different packages. That is a partial answer to my question, but it doesn’t apply across the board.

    • Colleen

My CVS in Central Florida had Maxwell House Instant Coffee on sale: buy one get one free for $7.89…no ECB though.

    • arcanabtn

Notice that the fun size candy bars are .77 for three days starting today (Sunday). Last weeks coupons had a coupon for .55 off any Reese’s product. Makes the 8 pack of solo peanut butter cups .22. Not exactly free, but a great filler.

    • kelli

I just wanted to let everyone who’s trying to buy the Sensodyne and Aquafresh together that you can use the $2 off $10 oral care, even after your card has been scanned. It’s only 2 cents off, so I don’t think that the register cares. It didn’t beep or anything.

      I did pretty good today:

      (1) Sensodyne
      (1) Aquafresh
      (1) Bounce Dryer Bar
      (1) Glade Fragrance Collection Candle
      – $4/$20
      – $2/$10 oral care
      – $1 off Sensodyne
      – $1 off Aquafresh
      – $2.50 off Bounce Dryer Bar
      – $2 off Glade Fragrance Collection
      – $8 ECBs

Total out of pocket: $.81 ($.35 of that was tax)
and I got $13.99 back in EBCs!

    • Kathy

I can’t find the Nabisco/Keebler Q anywhere. It wasn’t in my SS and I checked all 8/9-8/30. Anybody know where it might be or did my insert just not have it. I am in Dallas, GA.

    • Nora

Has anyone mentioned the covergirl sale? My CVS ad has B1G1 of all covergirl makeup in it also and I know there are several coupons from the past weeks that could make some great deals on makeup.

    • Kathy

The PG is the Proctor and Gamble insert that is separate from the Red Plum and the SS. It doesn’t come every week, just sometimes. Jenny always alerts us when one is coming. There should have been one in your paper today.

    • Nora

Sorry, it says buy one get one 50% off, not free… delete!

    • Sheila

I can’t find the act coupon anyone else having trouble?

    • holly61

I went to CVS today and purchased the required $15 of Dove products for $5 in bucks back. I also had 2 Dove deoderants that were 2/$5. I had coupons for the $15 of Dove lotion and bodywash as well as a coupon for $1.25 off the 2 deoderants. All coupons were dated today the 30th. However, the one for the deoderant said expired. Even when I told the young lady this, she would not accept the coupon.

Other then that I did pretty well at CVS today.

    • Amber

Just want to let you know that the Tida & Bounce are limit 2

    • Damien

I could not find the $3 off Glade Coupon on Red Plum. Do you have to enter a specific zip code to get it?

      • Jenny

They do have differences based on zipcode. Try 90210 to get most of them.

    • South FL

I was able to use the $2 off $10 oral care coupon with no problems on:
      2 Act Mouthwash – (2) $1/1 Act
      1 Sensodyne – $1 off Sensodyne

    • South FL

      CVS Question??

I noticed the Rembrandt 2 Hour whitening kits on clearance tonight for $2.xx (75% off). I just found a $5 off coupon for these at http://www.rembrandtwhitening.com/

Do you think I will get the overage? Or will it beep because it is over the amount of the item? Or should I try buying two and use one coupon?

    • I did pretty well on my midnight run last night; I only did one transaction b/c I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do with the resulting ECBs.

      (1) Glade Reed Diffuser
      (2) Bounce Dryer Bars
      (1) Softsoap Nutriserum
      (1) Aquafresh Foaming Gel

      -$1 off Aquafresh
      -$2.50 off Bounce
      -$1.50 off Bounce
      -$2 off Glade
      -$2 off Softsoap
      -$10 ECB

Paid $3.89 and got back $13.99 in ECBs! Even my cashier said, “That’s how to do it!” Will probably go back for contact solution and paper goods for free. Thank you Jenny! Even my husband loves seeing the bottom of my CVS receipts with how much I’ve saved all summer! (At $600+)

    • Lindsey

      L #82-
You mentioned CVS will take the Walgreens Qs. Would these qualify as a store Q or a Manu Q?

    • Sarah

      Lindsey (#80)
The dawn coupons are in the PG 8/2 and expires 8/31

    • Debra

I went to CVS yesterday and I got $46.98 worth of stuff for $8.03 and this was my third time doing the extra care bucks. I was so excited, I only started out with 5.98 in extra care bucks and ended up getting back almost 10.00 in ecbs for future use. I think I’m getting the swing of how the ecbs work now. Thanks to everyone who has posted comments here, it sure has helped me out.

    • Debra

Thanks Jenny for everything that you post, it really is a blessing and it sure has helped me save even more on my shopping trips to the drug stores.

    • Val

I started with $14.56 ECB, and had 2 transactions, my total OOP including tax was $2.70 and I have $12.99 ECB for next week. My CVS was out of the Sensodyne which meant I had to do a little improvising to get to the $25.00 mark to use my $5 off coupon, but other than that everything else went fine.

      1 Glade Reed Diffuser
      1 Tide Stain Release Liquid
      1 Bounce Dryer Bar
1 Aquafresh Iso Active Whitening Tooth Paste
      2 Renu Solution
      2 Act mouth wash
Free CVS Soap with emial coupon
      3 Candy Bar 8 packs
3 Sharpie Highlighters (rain check for $0.99)

    • Livininatl

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Visine has $3 and $2 coupons on their website that can be combined with the $3 off of $12 from the ready fill book.

    • Beachgirl

I can’t seem to find the 5 off of 25 coupon on the web site…Anyone that can help???

    • Jill

      Katie (#87)

What did the small Kroger insert in the 8/30 AJC look like? All I can find is the regular sale flyer and it doesn’t contain any coupons.

      Thank you.

    • kelli

South FL (#124) – I don’t think that you’ll get overage. I also don’t think that the adjust down a coupon until it’s over the price of all of the items that the coupon is for, so buying 2 is probably the best way to work it.

I’ll have to go check my CVS to see if they have any. Where were they in your store?

    • Kristie

Using zip code 30263 I got a coupon for $1.00/1 Softsoap Nutri Serums on Redplum.

    • Virginia

The only way that a coupon from Walgreens will scan at CVS is if it is actually a manufacturer’s coupon that just happens to be from Walgreens. Register Rewards and other coupons that come out of the Catalina machine will scan at any and all stores b/c they are normally manufacturer’s coupons that just happen to say ‘walgreens’ on them b/c that’s where they printed. (same as if you got a catalina coupon from a grocery store or kmart, as long as it is a manufacturer’s coupon that starts w/ a 5 or 9 and not a store coupon) Walgreens coupons that come out of the flyer that are *actual* Walgreens coupons will not scan (like the ones that are something like ‘get toilet paper for $0.69/roll, limit 4’ – only Walgreens registers will recognize what these are supposed to do). *Some* CVS’s will take competitor’s coupons even if they are acual store coupons, in those cases they have to be entered manually as a CVS coupon by the cashier. *Most* CVS’s do not willingly accept competitor’s coupons.

    • Virginia

#132 Beachgirl – the Readyfill thing on cvs’s site disappeared for awhile this morning, but it’s back now. Check again. Go to cvs.com and click on the box in the middle of the screen when it says something about Readyfill, then follow it to the quiz.

    • Melinda

I just came home from a CVS in Summerville, SC (Knightsville store) and they said they won’t be getting the Sensodyne or Aquafresh toothpastes for at least 6 weeks(!). They gave me a raincheck, but if it really takes that long to get the toothpastes in, my coupon will expire. :-( If anyone knows of a CVS in this area that does have the toothpastes, I’d love to hear it!

    • Kristin

I have a 10/50 coupon (someone was looking for a deal) here is my deal that I will be doing tonight!

      Dawn .97 .25q
      2 Planter Peanuts 2/6.00 1.00q
      Welches Jelly 2/6.00 (2) .75q
      Glade 6.99 2.00q
      Bounce 3.99 2.50q
      Gillette Fusion Razor 8.99 2.00q
      Gillette Shampoo 4.99 4.99q
      Soft Soap 4.99 1.00q
      5 Nabisco Cookies 5/5.00 (2)1.00q
      Pantene Styler 3.49 1.00q
      Total Before Coupons: 51.41
      Total After Coupons: 23.17
      Total ECB Recieved: 20.49

So that is 2.68 for over 50.00 worth of stuff!! I have about 12.00 in ECB’s so My oop will only be about 10.00!

    • cari

glade $3 IP on redplum.com is at zip 30097. HTH!

    • Jennifer

I am not seeing the Glade coupon. Can anyone help?

    • Sandra

I didn’t realize that the official name of the scanner was “Coupon spitter machine” – haha! I love CVS! Our new CVS stores that have been built over the past 6 months are the only ones that have the machines…so that’s where I shop!

    • Jenny from FL

I did the Duracell battery deal today since my kids’ toys eat batteries. Just wanted to let you all know that there is a $10 P&G coupon book in select packages.
      Here’s what’s in them:

      $1/1 any Duracell batteries

Got my first Bayer contour meter, ever and a Glade candle, .75 inner tube, and Bounty Basic 6 roll…used a $5 off $20, the $14.99 Bayer Q, $2 Glade Q, and $6 in ECB…out of pocket was .63 before tax…plus I got 11.99 in new ECB…

Where do people donate the Bayer meters?

    • Carissa

I can not get the $3 printable Q for the glade to work?? Anyone know if i have to use a certain zip code?? Thanks!

    • Carissa

Thanks Cari! I should have read better!

    • Carissa

Now I can’t get the aquafresh or sensodyne Q’S!! Any zip code for that? This is part of what is wrong with living in FL! No double Q’s and no good Q’s to print!!

    • Meredith

Is anyone having trouble finding the sensodyne and auquafresh? I’ve been to two different stores and was told at one they don’t have that and at the other, I couldn’t get help. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    • Julie Ann

Yea! I did the Glade deal and got free 64 Crayola crayons for my son (missed the Toy R Us sale last week)

    • Brenda

This thing really works!! Thanks to your grand plans Jenny, I have come home with lots of great products rolling over my ecb’s (very little OOP) AND 19.99 worth of ECB’s saved up in just 3 weeks of CVSing!

    • Amy

CVS also has Tide on sale for 5.98. Used Dollar off coupon in paper and had $2ecb. total =3.40

    • Ashley in FL

I also cannot get the Aquafresh and Sendodyne coupons. What zip codes did you use to print them?

    • Christie

there is a $1.10 off (3) cans of Progresso Soups at smartsource.

makes it less than $1 per can after Q and ECB.

also there was a $5 off coupon for the Wrinkle Free product awhile back. I’m not sure of the price of the item, so I don’t know if it’s a good deal or not…..

I used 30341 for the aquafresh and sensodyne q’s last week… not sure if they’re still up, but maybe worth a look…

    • Ashley

I went into CVS in Easley, SC today and they had the the Aquafresh and Sensodyne but they were in a weird place on the oral hygiene isle like by the toothbrushes and rinse and not with the other tooth pastes. They were on the shelf but had no price or anything, like they had been thrown up there last minute.

Also, I was going to go with the Colgate 360 toothbrush instead of the Colgate twin pack toothpaste since I bought the Sens. and Aqua. but I found out, it’s the 360 Deep Clean and NOT the 360 Sonic that qualifies for the 2 ecb. The ad just says 360 Clean toothbrush, so now I have to go back an exchange to get my 2 ecb’s!

Just wanted everyone to know that CVS has all of their summer items on clearance for 75% off! I just went and got the glade candle EBB deal and then turned around and used it to get a large wheelie rolling cooler for $2.00! (regularly $24.00)! Even without EBB it was only around $8.00 on clearance- GREAT DEALS!

    • Andrea

When I was in my CVS yesterday, I noticed a deal that wasn’t in the flyer. Apparently my CVS has a large quantity of cereals in stock that they are now trying to get rid of. They are priced at $1.77 a box. Not sure if any other stores are clearing out their inventories this week as well but it may be a good idea to start keeping an eye out for this deal.

Christie (#154) – thanks for the tip on progresso soup! I’ve got $4 ECBs that I somehow haven’t used that expire on Friday. I’ll have to run over and do this deal. :)

    • Denise

I went to CVS on my way home from work with kids. Got the Glade deal, then did the razor deal. I had a $2Q for the Venus razor and one for free shaving cream when the buying razor. So I figured I would use my $6.99 ECB from the candle for the razor. I don’t know what the cashier did but my total was only $2.15, so I spent more out of pocket then planned but got to keep my $6.99 ECB and earned $3 ECB more. Turned around and used the $3 ECB to but chocolate for the “Hungry Natives” so patiently waiting to go home:)

    • Jewel

Gotta tell you about my fun tonight:) Stopped at CVS and had some fun..
      2 pringles-$3.00
      1 Tide -$5.98
      1 cascade-$4.49
      1 Glade candle-$6.99
      Minus$6.00 in Q’s
      And 4 off of $20
      ECB $7.98

    • Angela P

Quen #97 – Thank you very much for the zip code! It is the only way I got the glade Q! You Rock!

    • I printed the bayer contour q off, but it says you need a prescription. Do you?

Ok, I’m a newbie and would really like to take advantage of CVSing… I went last night with high hopes but it didn’t turn out quite like I expected. I went thinking I would buy the Glade Fragrance Collection candle (+ $3 off Q), Aquafresh and Sensodyne toothpastes (+ $1 off for each Q), and 2 boxes of the twin packs of Renu Sensitive Eyes contact solution (+ $2 off each box Q). My CVS (Hwy 99 in Murfreesboro) was out of both toothpastes (there also wasn’t an ECB tag under either one like I saw for other products – does there have to be a tag to get ECB’s??), apparently they didn’t even stock the contact solution, and I couldn’t find any type of Glade products anywhere…

Does anyone have any advice? Are the deals different in different areas or should they all be the same? I also still saw the $5 ECB for $15 in Neutrogena products – wasn’t this from last week??

Should I try a different one in town or something?

    • Sandra

The one CVS in my little hometown never had anything when I tried to go get stuff. It’s like they get ONE of whatever deal they have and then they don’t get anymore in until the sale is over…It’s frustrating!
Also some of them start their sales on Saturday night, so people go early and snap up the free stuff.
I finally moved to a big city where I have access to lots of stores, so I can usually find the stuff at one or the other!
      Keep trying…don’t get discouraged!

    • Sandy

It can be very frustrating to work out a “grand plan” only to get to the store and find that they don’t have any of the products that you think they should have on sale! What I’ve learned here on Southernsavers is, use this site as a guide, but as soon as you get inside the store grap a sales flyer. Store sales can vary greatly from one city to another, newspaper coupon inserts can vary greatly from one paper to another and when it’s time to check out – even your cashier can make a differece in your total.
Ask for rainchecks if they are out of a product that is in your sales flyer. I cut out the ad and clip it to the raincheck and the coupon and then look for these items on my next shopping trip.
Keep trying, it’s worth every penny saved!

    • Ashley

A good idea is to ask the store when they get their shipments in. I have found that my store gets them in Wednesday night so they are on display on Thursday. This way, there is a fresh shipment of deals. This works if it is a weekly deal. I have also called to ask about a product and they put it on hold for me too. This helps with some of the frustration. If all else fails, rainchecks!! :)

    • Dianne

No,there doesn’t have to be a tag on the product shelf to get your ECBs. Sometimes they just don’t have time to get all the tags on from week to week. If I don’t see a tag for ECBs where one should be, I always ask, and they always give it to me.

I usually have to go to more than one store to get the deals, but always get a raincheck, and make sure they put on the rain check the EBCs that are due!

    • Jennifer

Neither one of the toothpaste had the hang tags at my CVS my ECB printed no problem.

    • kelli

I just realized that I have $4 ECBs that expired yesterday… I thought that they were expiring today! ahhhhh! do you think there’s any way that they’ll still let me use them? :(

      • Jenny

Most stores if you ask nicely will still accept them so run out today and grab something even if it doesn’t give ECB’s back no reason to not use $4.

    • kelli

Thanks Jenny, I thought that I’d read that they’ll usually let you use them if they’re only a day or two past. I’m going to go to the nicer of the two stores in my town, hopefully I’ll have good luck. :)

    • kelli

I just got home from CVS and all went well. They let me use my $4 ECBs that expired yesterday and I got some pretty good deals.

      3 cans of Progresso soup
      1 Clairol hair dye
2 Airwick (the ones that were on sale a few weeks ago, I had a rain check)
      – $4/$20
      -$1.10 off 3 Progresso soups
      – $2 off Clairol
      – (2) $6 off Airwick, adjusted to $5.99 each
      – $3.89 ECBs, adjusted down from $4

I paid a total of 82 cents and that was all tax and I got $4 ECBs back, $2 from the hair dye and $2 from the soup.
