  • Solar Radiance Sun Care, .5-20 oz, B1G1
    • Lanky2205

These “deals” certainly will not get me to Food Lion this week.  What's happening?  Maybe it's because food prices are going up so quickly that the stores are not getting deals from the wholesalers or wherever they purchase their supplies. Guess I'll just wait for Publix and Bi-Lo ads to see what they have.  :-(

    • Jjfdv

There is a $5 off 5 kelloggs cereal printable (no longer available).  Makes cereal a good price.

    • Traci0322

WOW, short list.  Good thing they double q's here to .60- at least that sometimes allows me to make my own sales since their prices are pretty good to start with.  :)

      • Lanky2205

I didn't know Food Lion stores doubled couples???

        • Shannonw1983

they only double in certain areas in ga

          • bevrev

stores in Atlanta, GA double. My store in Marietta does!!!

        • Mtedder06

I didn't know that either…which ones double coupons???

      • Lanky2205

I didn't know Food Lion doubled coupons???

        • Ctcjsbag5

My Food Lion in Conyers, GA doubles up to .60 cents, but this ad is not going to get me in the store this week to waste my coupons.

    • Sarah27828

Food Lion is having their grand opening tomorrow morning, is it worth getting up to go to?

      • S8nmnky

if you mean, do they double? no. lol

    • Jenni Lou Who

Well….another week that I will not shop at FL… esp since ours does NOT double q'S. Praying for a good week at Harveys. :)

    • Bekahbekah7

My Food Lion in middle Tennessee had there big box of Fisher Price Diapers on sale for $16.99 with a $5.00/off peelie and there is a Upromise ecoupon for $5.00/off as well, making it only $6.99. Great Deal for diapers!

    • Couponjammer

hopefully they are getting ready for a big grand opening sale for those of us in SC!!  I did get V8 fusion for $.58 a bottle between coupons and the 9 catalinas for $1 off my next purchase it gave me back for buying them!

    • Wvcsc

I have not been to Food Loin since it changed from Bloom…what is the coupons policy? do they double?

      • Wvcsc

I guess i should have said i am in Simpsonville  SC

        • Appleshell

If FL hopes to get enough business after taking over all the Bloom stores, it will HAVE to start doubling coupons and taking competitors coupons. It's the only grocery store I know of that really needs to get with the times if they hope to survive.  Even the ONE FL store that was already in this area wouldn't take competitors or at least double coupons. It seems like a selfish way to be when the economy is so bad. They do have some great deals sometimes, but it's not worth it when so many other stores have great deals AND double/take competitors coupons. I think I've only shopped there 3 times this year.

        • I shop at the one in Simpsonville as well and I do not believe they double coupons.  I am hoping for a better “Grand Opening” ad this week.

      • anthena

        no, unfortunately they dont

    • Missriza

I'm not sure if anyone else has the coupon machines at the front of their store (kind of like the CVS magic coupon machine).  I would love to know what coupons come out each week.  I usually ignore FL here because they don't double, but they may have some great coupons worth getting from the machine (I got a free ginger ale one time).  I think they are both store and manufacturer.  I might read FL posts more often if that were included.

      • Kathryn21

I'm like you–these coupons are hit and miss as to how good they are!  Sometimes I've gotten good coupons for produce and deli, but at other times not so much!  I scan my card anyways—is it bad to say it's their paper and their buck???

        • Margoren

I see a lot of wasted printed paper that people leave there by the machine because it printed nothing good. All that paper and ink that gets wasted, in the end, is paid by all of us with higher prices at their store. They should really start printing much better coupons so people actually start using them…
And if they would officially allow us to stack coupons, even better…

          • Hmm

they should show you the coupon on the screen first and then have a print option button for people who want it , that way less ink and paper wasted!

            • Margoren

Excellent idea! Maybe we should say this on their facebook page….

            • Dharvn

oh come on now….that idea would make too much sense.

          • Clemonsclan05

Totally agreed !  I stopped going there because each time I see all the waste and I feel like I contribute by not buying those items right then and there — they need to extend the expiration on the printouts past the current shopping trip.

      • Karmah60

I wouldn't know.  Every single time I've tried getting coupons from that machine, the ink is so low they're unreadable.  I couldn't even begin to tell you what printed.  I don't know if it's an epidemic, or if my FL is just lazy about changing the printer inks.

        • Margoren

That's happened to me a number of times… And also no paper…

        • Just let someone at the Customer Service desk know that the toner or paper is low. They should be able to change the paper at least. I don't know about the toner.

      • Jcwiakala_44

I've found that by reading the comments section of the FL ads, I learn whether or not there's any good coupons that print.  Last week there was a store coupon for V8's that some used with manufacturers coupons.  I'm sure several more printed, but that was the only one of note.
The week before a smuckers ice cream topping coupon printed and I was able to use that along with a manufacture's coupon.
Also, the ad on Food Lion's website will clue you in to some of the printed coupons.

        • Margoren

Ohh that V8 printed for me but did not scan… I still got a good deal, so I can't complain…

          • Some of the V8 Coupons scanned but asked for an override even though the customers bought the products. You should have gotten a manager to override the coupon. That's what we're here for Margoren.

      • Pndbear2003

Sometimes you can get free items.  A couple days ago it printed a coupon for free plastic cups and today I got a free 8 oz cool whip from the coupon machine.

      • Brandyblurbs

I got a coupon once for a free bottle of ketchup for a size the store didn't even carry! They really do need to try harder! I don't usually even waste my time going into FL, but I have occasionally stopped by just to print the coupons to take with me on my Publix trip because they will take them. :)

      • Missriza, until July 26th, the MVP Savings Center will be kicking out coupons for free cookout items when you scan your personal MVP Card. While many of the coupons are the same, some of the coupons are based on your personal MVP Card and your shopping habits. I like your suggestion about posting the MVP Savings Center Kiosk coupons and I will be doing that on my blog at foodlioninsider.com if you’d like to stop by.

    • Amelia321

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, GrabPenny.com

    • Kcreviews

      That ad is awful.

    • Jennifermathis24

We got a whole separate FL flier in our Wed “freebie” paper- “Grand Opening” deals- BOGO frozen chicken,BOGO cheerios…. for those in areas that just switched over. :o)

    • Karmah60

For a store that refuses to double coupons, the deals sure leave something to be desired this week.  You'd think they'd try harder…

    • Maxthebrowndog

Does anyone know the address for sending expired coupons to the armed forces? Thanks for your help with this matter.

      • Nembree622

Here is a weblink for various bases.

i missed this. how can they use these? i will gladly send.

    • Lmb072

I still haven't used my kellogs coupon for $5/5 cereal so I think i may use it on this weeks sale..still a very AWFULLL ad:(((

    • Sharon Nelson

Since Bloom officially changes to Food Lion tomorrow, maybe they are going to be having a special GRAND OPENING sale.  My customer savings card came in the mail today.  I am not familiar with Food Lion quality or pricing at all.

      • amberleigh

You'll be shocked but food lion is more expensive than bilo.

      • Jacketfan24

I have the paper ad for the Grand Opening ad, and it seems to be the same as what she has listed.  Maybe some unadvertised in store ads?  I doubt I will shop there much since they got rid of the good Angus meat.

    • Sharon2261

Is the quality of meat at Food Lion as good as Bloom?  I have never been in  a Food Lion.

      • Dennis Thurman

Bloom and Food Lion are one and the same.

      • amberleigh

No it is not. When I went in before they changed over I asked about the meat because I loved their angus and they told me they were getting rid of it, so I guess bilo will be getting my business from here on because they double coupons and food lions prices are higher! I hate they did away with bloom.

        • SydneyC

Your Bi-Lo must be better than mine. The quality of the meat at my Bi-Lo is awful.

          • amberleigh

I'm in the upstate of SC and all of the Bilo's have awesome meat around here, But I was soooo mad when they told me that they were going to stop selling Angus after they turned it into food lion. I along with my hubby will be calling cooperate in the morning to complain.

      • Just-clay

The chicken and seafood are excellent at my Food Lion. I haven't purchased beef, but the salmon I bought there last week was the best I have ever purchased. Even my husband noticed and asked me about it.

      • Butterflykisses069

No, their meat quality has went way down since changing our Bloom into a Food Lion.  They no longer double coupons either.  They lost my business

      • Alisha20

they are the same company so it should be.

    • Jean

My ad has Palermo's 3/$10, cheaper than HT. Also buy 2
Breyers 48 oz at $4.49 get 9.5-16 oz Chips Ahoy free. Buy 2 Sargento shredded cheese $2.99 get 1 free, BOGO Simply Potatoes 20 oz, buy Kraft grated/shreded parmesan cheese 7-8 oz and 16 oz FL pasta get 24-26 oz FL pasta sauce and 8-13 oz Pillsbury crescent rolls.

    • I live in lawrenveville ga and the food lion there recently has been giving me free stuff recently with scanning my mvp card at their machine. last week was a free 6pk of koolaid bursts…and this week was a free 8oz tub of coolwhip.
I tried getting in on the V8 deal since it's the last day of the ad before this one starts. My boyfriend drinks a lot of juice for mornings so I was going to use up all my coupons from the sunday papers. Picked up 10 regular v8 fusions and 5 of the teas. Had 10 1.50 and 5 B2G1 Qs. I also bought 6 boxes of suddenly salad and had 3 .50/2 Qs (our FL doubles – and does price matching and takes competitor coupons things as well…it just needs to let us stack coupons and we'd be golden!)

Of course I had issues with the B2G1 coupons and was told I could only use 1. ??? I read that some people were getting managers to override their beeps but mine refused to see the logic in that the free coupon was only a coupon for the free teas, not to be counted on the regular drinks…

I was under the impression that you could use a BOGO coupon AND one $$/1 together?

I took the teas off of my transaction to avoid any further hassle. And paid 14.60 for 10 V8 fusions, 6 boxes of suddenly salad and the cool whip tub.

I also ended up with 5 $1 OYNO cats.
I will be heading to FL tomorrow to see what other deals there might be.

      • Robin, the coupon stated that if you bought two (2) of the V8 V-Fusion + Tea you got one (1) V8 V-Fusion for free. That means that for that coupon you should have bought two teas and one regular V8 V-Fusion. Then you would receive the discount off of the V8 V-Fusion ($2.50 on sale).

Regarding the BOGO coupon and your $1/1 coupon, I know that when I purchased two Old Spice products, used a BOGO coupon, and a $1/1 coupon, the register accepted both coupons. However, just the other day a customer wanted to use a BOGO coupon and a $1/1 coupon for Schick razors and the register prompted for an override. I overrode the coupon because I feel like the BOGO coupon is for the “free” item and the $1/1 coupon is for the one you paid for making it one coupon per item.

I hope you find some good deals with your $1 off Catalina coupons. Maybe you'll have a more agreeable manager this time. Best of luck!

        • Tamara

My coupon states buy 2 v8 fusions and get the tea free.  I used two coupons last week at FL and they had to override them because it said I had too many $1.50/1 q.  But, I only had two of $1.50 and 1 free one.  The manager overrode it though.  I also got a $1 off my next purchase.  I got a free bottle of mustard too when I scanned my MVP card.

          • Linda

I'm in Florida. I used the (4) V-8 Fusion coupons and (2) BOGO coupons for V-8 Fusion +Tea for the 6 items  The manager would not let me use the Tea coupons. She said that if I used the free tea coupons, I could only use 2 of $1.50 coupons. There was no changing her mind, even though I showed her the Coupon Policy that clearly shows: Customers may not use more than (1) coupon per item with a maximum of (10) coupons for the same item per customer.

    • Glenda

Check your local ads because mine has alot more items on sale than this list.

    • Kcreviews

Beware! I went to FL this morning and they have me a HARD time about my $5/5 Kellogg's q. The cashier had to go check with her manager to make sure it was real and then it still beeped or something and the manager had to come by and push it through. For some reason it was saying the coupon exceeded the limit but I know it didn't because I bought 5 cereals at $1.99 each, with $1 each box, so I was still paying 99 cents a box. Thankfully, I was finally able to leave the store with a good deal.

      • Jdmcevans

Where did you get that coupon at? Would love to have one1

      • Ahall01

where did you get the $5/5 coupon

        • Debko

The $5/5 was available on coupons dot com a few weeks ago.  Everyone jumped on it so it wasn't available very long.  HTH

    • tori729

Our Blooms just changed to Food Lions – for those of you who go there regularly, do they tend to have good buys on anything in particular? I used to frequent Bloom when they did the triple coupon weekends but stopped going there when they stopped. It seems as if FL isn't much to cough at but just wanted to know if there would be more opportunity for good deals there.

      • Ibdqt34

In my experience, FL does not have good deals. I'm sure it varies by store location / region but we do not have double coupons or triples! I'd probably fall out if our FL did that. I have a Walmart, Target, Harris Teeter, Kroger and Lowes Food probably within 7-10 mi of our FL so the competition is high but they are on the bottom when it comes to being coupon friendly or having really good deals! Good luck!

      • Butterfly28690

Our store (NC) doesn't dbl or trpl either. They need to get with the program or they will be out of business since they are the only local supermarket in my area that doesn't at least dbl once in a while. I used to shop there pre coupon days but only shop there now when I'm too tired to drive to Harris Teeter or Bi-Lo. Ours also does not let you match an eq with a paper q, you can only use one or the other. You can get good prices on canned foods…sometimes.

        • Alisha20

I am also in NC and I agree that FL is my last choice but since Salisbury is their hub we have them suckers everywhere lol. I always shop at Harris Teeter or Bi-Lo and get my produce and staple items at Aldi. My Food Lion gave me a hard time the other night saying I could only use one like coupon per transaction!

      • bevrev

I've noticed Food Lion is overall the cheapest Grocer in town. I wrote down the prices of items at my Food Lion, then compared them with prices at Publix and Kroger. Just one example i found was a bottle of BBQ sauce was .60 more expensive at Publix. Milk is over a dollar more at Publix and .50 more at Kroger! Even though most stores do not double, their cheaper everyday price MORE than makes up for that, IMO

      • tori29,
You can get some great savings at Food Lion even though Food Lion does not double or triple coupons.

First, you can save by using your personal MVP Card (or Breeze Card because they work at Food Lion). You can also load eCoupons onto your MVP/Breeze Card from Food Lion’s website (www.foodlion.com/redplum). Although the coupon policy states one coupon per item, at least in my store, the register accepts an electronic coupon and paper coupon on one item. (I don’t know if all stores have the same system). You can also save more by getting rainchecks on out of stock items (so you can purchase the sale item when the sale is over), taking advantage of the YourBucks Offers (Catalina Coupon deals), and purchasing from the private label my essentials.I blog all about shopping smarter and saving more at Food Lion at http://www.foodlioninsider.com.
I hope you get some great deals in these upcoming weeks.

        • Thefantasyicon

My food lion doubles up to .60

    • Jdmcevans

Does anyone know where to get the Kellogg's breakfast booklet?

      • Raecharles

It was in specially marked boxes of frosted mini wheats several months ago.  Not sure if it is in other boxes or if they're still available.

    • couponmommyof3

Are all FL supposed to have a coupon machine? Mine doesn't. I'm in Jacksonville, FL.

      • Food Lion is slowly rolling out MVP Savings Center Kiosks to all Food Lions. Eventually all stores will have them. The Customer Relations representative I spoke with did not give a specific time frame in which all Food Lion stores would have the kiosks.

    • Amybunce3

Food Lion is now accepting Red Plum ecoupons loaded on your MVP card.

    • Patydt06

food lion double coupons ? charleston area.. thank u

    • Chelsea

I generally go to Harris Teeter since my FL won't double coupons, but was in a pinch yesterday and needed baby food so I swung by on my way home (sadly with no coupons at all) I got about 15 jars of Gerber baby food and lo and behold got a “Save $6 on you next order” thank you (manufacturer's) coupon from Gerber. YAY!

    • Kouponkupboard

V8 Fusion is 2/5.00. use the 1.50 off one (dont remember the date it came out) and the buy 2 Fusion get one Fusion +tea free. pay 2.00 for all 3.

      • Kouponkupboard

also ..the register printed out 1.00 off anything on your next trip for every 2 fusion (i bought 6 fusion and 3 fusion +tea so 3.00 on next purchase) so 1.00 for 3 after the catalina

    • Timothy Petty

Don't know if it's too late or not, but my Food Lion has the Bic Soleil Disposable Razors on MVP for $3.99.  With the $3 off Soleil Razors coupon in the Smart Source insert for 7/10 these are 99-cents.  Not bad for razors that normally retail $5.55.
