    • devonsimmons

The 1/3 coupon won't let me print it… says coupon is expired. Strange! Anyone else having trouble?

      • melissa970106

It wont let me print it either, Says that it is expired as well.

        • Biggi

          Same thing here!

    • Our ad in SW Virginia states the Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks are 8.7 oz and the Corn Pops are 9.2 oz. They wouldn't be eligible for the catalina promotion :o( However….the Frosted Flakes is 14 oz and WOULD be eligible for us.

      • When you go in to the store you should find the 8.7 is actually a typo and all the 12.2 oz boxes are on sale for $2.50 and participating!!

        • blairford

Does this $10 off deal work with all Kellogs cereal or just Fruit Loop, Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks – sugary kids cereals, and are these other cereals priced at $2.50 too?

          • emily

            Just the sugary ones! =)

          • jennifr1966

I went tonight and was able to buy regular Corn Flakes, the kind with no sugar. In fact, I bought 3 boxes of Kelloggs cereal @ $2.50 each, 4 boxes of Hungry Jack pancake mixes @ $1.99 each, 2 HJ syrups @ $2.79 each, 3 boxes of Pop Tarts @ $2.50 each. The cool thing is, a lot was on sale, even if you didn't buy 10. This *would* have come to $28.54. With the $10 off, however, it came to $18.54. I used coupons $1/3 Kelloggs cereals,
I used coupons: $1/3 cereals, three $1/2 Hungry Jack, and $1/3 Pop Tarts. That brought it to $13.54. A savings of $15!
All I can say is, I hope they do it again in a few months, when we've stock-piled our coupons!

    • Barb

Which cereals must be purchased to get the Catalina?

      • ahjgarrity

I bought several of each of the ones on sale and I got the $4 Catalina. They were the 12 and 14 oz boxes.

      • Tiffany

They need to be 10 oz or larger for the catalina.

    • reneeTL

I couldn't get it to print either. Bummer!

    • Karen

      Can't get the coupons either

    • ahjgarrity

I did this yesterday, but I used the coupons in previous boxes of Kellogg's cereal that we had. They were $1 off of 2 boxes, so I used 5 of them.
      (10) Kellogg's Cerea; $2.50 ea
      (5) $1/2 Kellogg's Cereal
      -10 off instantly
      Total Due $10

Get Back: $4 off next purchase

      Thats 60 cents a box!!!

      • ahjgarrity

AND…..some of the boxes I bought have coupons in them too!!! I'm so excited….my kids eat cereal like CRAZY!!!

        • candipittman

mine too! I need to run to Food Lion immediately!!! Thanks!

      • prplfrog

$10 off would make the total due $15 if the boxes are $2.50 @.

        • ahjgarrity

That is true, but I had 5 $1 off of 2 coupons which is $5 more $ off making it $10. Then I got back a $4 off of next purchase coupon. That makes them 60 cents a piece. Its a great deal!! I went back and bought 10 more boxes and used 5 more coupons and the $4 off coupon that I received in the first transaction. Then I got back another $4 off coupon!!! That should keep my kids happy for a while. :)

    • getgroceriesfree

A while back they were selling the small snack size boxes of the Froot Loops and Apple Jacks for 2/$1. On the back of the boxes were $1/1 Froot Loops or Apple Jacks coupons which do not expire until sometime in September 2010. By purchasing 10 boxes and using 10 of those coupons minus the automatic $10 off and the $4 I will get back that makes 10 boxes $1 or .10 (plus tax) each!

      • jennifr1966

Wow! Sure wish I'd seen them. My daughter *loves* getting those little boxes for quick snacks & breakfasts, and I would have gotten the great deal! How lucky for you…Congrats!

    • mary

I am assuming that the catalina coupons print right at the store like walgreens. Never see that at our Food Lion. in Tennessee

      • Barb

I live in TN and we have very few Food Lions left. The chain did not do well here and Bi-Lo sold out to Food City here several years ago.

They all claim it is Wal-Mart but I think their biggest competition is Kroger.

Food City for a while made some very derogatory claims about Kroger in their ads and then when that didn't work switched to imitating the 3-day Kroger sales.

      • Allison

I had to ask at Customer Service at the Irmo, SC store on a different Catalina and was told that they were “out of printer paper”. She just gave me two dollars cash, so I would definitely ask about it.

        • gabrielmorris

Just a heads up for anyone in Florence, SC. I bought 8 cereals and 2 oatmeal and my $10 didn't come off. The cashier got the manager and neither of them knew anything about the deal, even though it is on the 2nd page of the ad. The manager thought a $10 off coupon was supposed to print (the $4 Catalina printed) so she tried to give me the difference $6. She fiddled around with my receipt, I had to go to customer service, and after about 10 min of her asking others in the store (still no one knew about the deal) she gave me $10 back and let me keep the Catalina.(She still seemed confused.) The shelves were cleared of cereal, so I know I'm not the only one buying. I noticed the $10 didn't come off because cereal was all I bought, maybe others didn't even notice they didn't get the deal. They checked my items against the ad and I had purchased the included items. It seems everytime I go to Food Lion, this one and one on the other side of town, I know more than the employees about what's on sale! Beware and check your receipt!

          • Allison

Same here, the $10 did not come off. I asked at customer service and got a confused look. She had to pull the ad, even though there were correction sheets at the cereal on the aisle stating which sizes were actually part of the deal. After much debate, she gave me $10 cash and I kept the catalina for $4 OYNO. If I hadn't known about it, though, I wouldn't have gotten the $10.

          • Stacey

I had this problem at the Lexington, SC store. The one with the Home Depot located behind it. I spent about an hour in the store and still didn't come out with my $10 “reward”. At first I was told that the $10 savings was the MVP savings. Then I pointed out that if I bought 10 of the FL oatmeals that were only on sale for $0.50, I would only save $5 using my MVP. Then it was because I didn't buy the right combination of products. So then I pointed out that the ad didn't say anything about having to buy a certain combination. Then it was because I bought the wrong instant coffee because I bought de-caf and I pointed out the ad didn't state only regular coffee. In fact in stated that an 8 oz Folgers coffee was suppose to be on sale for $4.99 and there were not any sales tag on any Folgers coffee that was on the shelf. I also got told I bought the wrong box of cereal but I picked up the one that was one the long sales shelf at the front of the store. The manager finally picked up 10 of the sales items, rang them up and showed me that the mvp savings came to $11 and that FL wouldn't be giving an additional $10 saves off of that. Again I disagreed because it mentioned that there was only 1 reward offered per transaction so I asked did that mean if I bought more than 10 boxes of cereal I wouldn't get that mvp sale price. He said no, I would still get that savings. Then I pointed out again the ad stated one “reward” per transaction. He finally admited he didn't know anything about the sale and that he didn't know how to make the register give me my $10. He called the FL loacted beside the K-Mart in Lexington, SC and that manager said it would come as a $10 catalina at my next shopping trip and that if I didn't get it to come back and talk to him. I know it will not because that isn't what the ad said but I got his name and the ad and will be back to see him next week. It was 10 p.m. and I had a sleeping 3 year old in the car with my husband so I was tired of agruing with him. But I will be back to see him to get my $10. He still says I bought the wrong coffee but he is going to be nice and let me get the $10 anyway. They had a big sign hanging in the window that mentioned the sale but NO ONE in that store knew anything about it. I too noticed that the lots of the cereal was gone and wondered how many people thought they were getting $10 off and didn't. I wasn't very happy when I left the store!! OH…and I didn't get a $4 off my next shopping trip catalina either but nothing about it was stated in the ad.

            • Alison

I had the same trouble at the same store. I have to go back and get my 10.00 next time. Very frustrating! I was more upset because no one in the store knew anything about it and they were not very helpful. I also did not get $4 off but I did get the $1 off. I do not think I will shop there again.

            • julie

I won't be shopping at the location ever again! I had the same problem. I was told “LOOK, we just got the list this morning and we haven't had time to put up signs”, as if it's my fault they don't know anything about the sale. Everyone in there was so rude. It took 30 minutes of trying different size cereal boxes to finally get the $10 off to take. It should show up as an instant $10 off your final price on your receipt, in addition to the MVP savings of the cereal being $2.50 and the cereal bars being $2.50. This location shows by their actions that they do not care about costumer service. Good luck getting your $10!

            • Stacey

Alison and Julie, when did you do your shopping? I was in there late Saturday evening between 9 and 10 p.m. and the manager I spoke to was named Mike. He acted like it was the first time he had heard about the sale so I was just wondering when it was that you shopped and who you had to speak to. I have to say he wasn't really rude just not that helpful but I kept pushing the point. I am also willing to return the 10 items I bought if I don't get my $10 and will let them know I will not be shopping at that store again. I'm just not sure the one located next to the Kmart is much better. Anyone have any luck with no problems at any Food Lions located in Lexington?

            • Alison

I was in there Sunday afternoon and talked to Mike as well. I'm planning on going back tonight to get my 10.00 so I'll let you know what happens.

            • Stacey

I can't wait to hear how this went for you Alison. I'm betting that $10 didn't come off this trip and I bet you didn't get a $10 catalina either. So another nice trip to the customer service desk is what I am figuring. I hope you were able to get the $10!

            • Stacey

I am hoping that since you haven't reported back that it doesn't mean you didn't get your $10. I will be going by there on Friday or Saturday and would still love to hear what happen when you went back to this FL.

            • Stacey

Mike ended up giving me a $10 FL gift card.

    • esynan

Since you're buying 10 boxes of cereal, would you get $8 off your next purchase?

      • Emily

Nope, just $4. It doesn't multiply that way.

    • irmolees

This is what the catalina states:Kelloggs preview-
      Buy 3 get $1 oyno
      Buy 4 get $3 oyno
      Buy 5 get $4 oyno

      of 10oz or larger-
Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Fruit Loops, Honey smacks

    • Diana

I just went to my Food Lion and they didn't have any in store dispensers to get the $1/2 coupon. Is the something specific to each store? I really wanted this deal but not without the coupons.

      • Emily

I found my coupons at Kroger.

      • Bettyann

I couldn't find them in Shelby either

      • Libbytn

I found mine at Kroger, too.

        • mia

was there a dispenser for hte coupons in kroger as well…..

    • Jessica529

Can you combine cereal with other participating items and still get the $10 off and the $4 catalina. Here is what I was planning on doing:
      Purchase (6) kellogg's cereals & 4 nutrigrain
      Use q's (1) $1.5/2 kellogg's cereals printable (1) $1/3 kellogg's cereals & (2) $1/2 nutrigrain packages. This should be $10.50 oop plus a $4 catalina.

      • Emily

You should be able to. It's buy 10 items get 10 off.

    • cheryl0723

My Food Lion didnt know any thing about this so I had to leave empty handed:( That was in Laurens SC

      • Emily

It's actually in the ad. See if you see it on the back of page 1 or 2 at the top or check your sales paper with your zip code online to see if it's listed.

    • Emily

If you need lots of cereal or other items, use that $4 coupon that prints off for your next order of 10 cereals to make it a better deal. That's what I did. My hubby eats cereal like crazy and it's shelf life is so long. I'm way stocked up now.

      • cojacks

thanks. I did this & got 20 items for .74 cents each

    • hugo79

In the North Texas area Kroger is having a buy 4 kelloggs products get 2 free gallons of Kroger Milk, but it is limit 8 kellogs itmes in a transaction. Any ideas

    • Bettyann

the 10/for10….. do u have to buy 10 or can I buy one and use a coupon????

    • Bettyann

One Food lion in Shelby NC says I do and the other says I don't. Im sooo confused

    • Amy

Is this a better deal than the Publix Kellogs deal that is this weekend? 50% off plus coupons? How much do these run at Publix?

    • Libbytn

Check your printed coupons! I found one for $1.50/2 boxes of the exact cereal that I had printed earlier. It didn't expire till around 3/6 I think! I only had one but paired it with the qs I picked up at kroger for $1/2.

    • I'm going to frame these and hang them when my husband's at work and see how long it takes him to notice when he gets home!

    • justincase1031

My FL didn't have them either. Is this a coupon that should be out in the stores now, or was this a coupon from a while back???? Also, is it only specific to FL or might HT or even, dare I say, Wal-mart? I mean, is this a coupon that only FL is allowed to have or is it in all grocery stores???

    • justincase1031

Can anyone that has any of the mentioned coupons tell me what is the first number on the second set of bar code numbers? The first number to follow 38000. Thanks!!!!!!!

    • Melody

Kroger is also having this deal, buy 4 Kellogs items and get 2 gallons of milk free, and a $4 off kelloggs coupon will print for the next time,

      (8) boxes of Kellogs Cereal @ 2.50 a box
      = $20.00
      Use (4)$1/2 coupons
      = $16.00
      use $4.00 off coupon
      = $12.00
Got 8 boxes of cereal and 4 gallons of milk for $12.00

      Great deal

      • Emily

At Krogers in VA, it's by 4 get 1 gallon of milk. Just so everyone else knows that apparently there is a difference between regions.

    • Susan

I live in the richmond va area. the food lion in my area has a sign posted that there was a miss print in the add. the special only applies to the large boxes of ceral.

    • kristine

anyone know if the catalina will still print out on your order if you use your 4.00 catalina for another load of cereal? thanks!

      • Tiffany

I did it once at Bilo and it worked for me.

    • kristine

Food Lion seriously annoys me; …I tried to use a 1.00 off milk coupon when you buy any kellogs cereal-and could not use it in conjunction with my cereal coupon. The cereal Q was for the cereal, and the milk Q was for the milk. The cashier said I had to buy the cereal to use the milk Q…? Well, I was “buying” the cereal, and my Q would save me only 50 cents on that box, too. I think Food Lion would get more business if they were more coupon-friendly! Never have those issues with my beloved Publix! That's my vent for the day :)

      • CecileM

I had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday. I actually called customer service today to let them know how rude there manager was to me about this situation. Her and another customer behind me in line were making fun of my couponing. I made sure I told them how much I enjoyed shopping at Publix because they were coupon-friendly and how unfriendly I feel they always are!!

      • Bettyann

my FL makes me feel like Im doing something wrong. I only go there if there is a REALLY good deal going on, they huff and puff when I get my coupons out.

    • Patty

You can get both the $4 printable and the $10 off from one transaction. You can also get the same deal twice if you have two seperate transactions.

    • ilonaf

Does anyone know where to find the “All You” magazine. I have been searching everywhere and can't seem to find it. Thanks

      • Bettyann

Walmart at the check out lane… I heard that it was WALMARTS magazine!!!

        • ilonaf

Thanks, I will look again today. I have checked CVS, Walgreens, Harris Teeter,Food Lion and Wal-Mart. Hopefully I just overlooked it.

    • Crystal

Can someone fill me in on the coupon policies for Food Lion. Do they double? If so to what amount? Will they accept a Competitor? Can you stack it w a Manifacturer if so?

      • DonnaSTN

They do not double or accept other competitor coupons. You can stack a FL coupon with a man q usually depends on how your store is.

    • Deajae

Went to Foodlion today in Greenville, NC. 2 of my friends got our coupons together. We bought 6 Kellogg Frosted Flakes, 2 Kellogg Pop's, and 2 Kellogg Fruit Loops. We had 5 coupons for 1.50/2. We received the instant $10.00 off and our bill came to 7.80. With our receipt we received a $4.00 off our next visit coupon. The Foodlion vegetables are 3/.99 so we bought 12 cans of vegetables with our $4.00 coupon!

    • Deanna

It's .70 cent off coupons for Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks and Corn pops in some dispensers now…

    • Mary

My Food Lion had the .70 cent off of 1. I paid $4.00 for 109 boxes of cereal!!! That is .40 cents for a $3.89 box of cereal. I am so excited!!!!!!!

    • gina4ever0

Watch out for Foodlion. I use coupons and I've been almost ripped off, However I show them the mistake and it gets corrected.

    • Rona

I was very reluctant to try this.. but my friend convinced me that it was a good deal. I had a horrible experience at my store. The ad was misleading because they put the wrong size cereal in the paper. I had to exchange items several times and I got only the specific items and it was $20.00. That is not a deal to me. Next time I will skip this deal.I didnt need boxes of cereal that's why I didnt go that route

    • dgram41

I bought 8 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of breakfast cereal bars, 6 cans of creamed corn & 1 gallon of milk for $14.22 PLUS I got a $4.00 coupon that I can use @ Publix tomorrow! After the $4.00 coupon this breaks down to 68 cents per item!! Yay for Jenny & Southern Savers!

    • Stacey

Mike ended up giving me a $10 FL gift card.
