    • Thanks! I'm thinking I'm going to get Toy Story 3 for the fam to watch!

      • Dee

Very good movie but I'd hesitate to show it to the little tykes.

        • Boy'sMama

Good to know…what about it makes you hesitate for the younger ones? I let my boys watch #2, but not #1 because of the “scary” toys and mean neighbor…love thoughts on the 3rd! Thanks!

Number 3 is very dark compared to 1 and 2. There is some violence in the daycare scenes from toys (walking baby doll, robot, and buzz) towards the new toys that are sent to the daycare. I thought the movie would be good for 8-10 and up. But I am very glad we watched it before showing it to my 4 yr, 2 yr and 15 mth old. If your kids are not in daycare, I feel like it could scare them about ever having to go there. Just way to intense also with scenes from toys going into fire.

          • Dee

Because the toys are abused by kids in a nursery and torn apart. Are put in a garbage dumpster. My husband and I just thought that it would leave a not good impression on the kids. I, personally loved the movie. Good for the older kids. I don't think my son would let his 4 yr and 2 yr old watch it.

      • *laughing* all the replies about Toy Story 3… totally didn't expect any! my kids are 5 and 1/2, 3 and 3/4 and 2 and 1/2. They've seen Toy Story 1 and 2 with no problems. They even have watched *gasp* Pirates of the Carribean 2 (we skip the the extra gross scenes at the beginning) and they love to watch Godzilla movies (the old, Japanese ones, not the American one). So I'd be really surprised if Toy Story 3 scares them.

Actually, I'll never forget that the movie scene that MOST scared our kids was from Nanny McPhee – when the baby almost gets catapulted into the stock pot.My oldest screamed hysterically the first time she saw it, and the other followed suit.

In ANY case, my kiosk was OUT of TS3, so I got Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. They liked it!

Do you have to sign up online first or do you just go right to the kiosk at the store?

    • Bryarsmom

Do they ever have classic older movies from the 1940's, 1950's & 1960's in these machines?

I've got my netflix membership but there are those days in between shipping I'd love to have another resource for good clean movies-we like the older ones.

    • You don't have to go online first. When you check out, look to the bottom of the screen, there is a place to enter the promotion code. You still have to provide a credit card, but at check out it should say ($1.00). Good Luck.
