We had a shopping whirlwind of a week. It was great to dust of coupons and get to use some of the surplus in grocery budget that we’ve been building up by not shopping!
I hit Walgreens, Kroger, and Publix all spread out during the week. Plus I took my girls and we had “Groupon night” at the mall! We finally used our Gap groupon, a Cold Water Creek groupon and (3) Build A Bear groupons. Total for our night at the mall was $42 for over $380 in merchandise. The most fun for me was getting to watch my kids enjoy making bears and it only costing $2.68 for each bear with an outfit (this is a store my kids drool over but are never allowed to enter except on special occasions).

We hadn’t gone real grocery shopping in a number of weeks and had extra money saved up (we set aside $50 per week for grocery purchases). Sometimes having the extra is nice, we got to stock up on a ton of good produce deals they are running this week.
One thing I did remember this week: taking husbands grocery shopping means that you always end up buying off sale items.
