I meant to pull the final numbers for 2011 together for you, but this week has flown by and I forgot.  I’ll get them together and share next week.  I do know that balancing our budget for the year we are under budget on groceries and personal care expenses!!  That was so fun to learn that I feel like celebrating… sadly that would cost money and then would be counter productive.

This week I went out just for produce, milk and bread.  I used one coupon that happened to be on a few lean cuisines I grabbed and that was it (there just aren’t a lot of milk coupons).  We did stay at budget though and that’s all that matters in the end.

Kroger:
Total Value purchased: $75.01
Total Spent: $48.11
Total Saved: $26.90 or 35.8%

The savings were mostly off buying produce on sale and bread that was marked down.  I did grab some half priced pecans too, I just couldn’t pass up $4.49 lb compared to the $9.99 they were 3 days ago!!  Pecans freeze, so these can sit and wait for our next baking day.

As for other deals with coupons, there really isn’t thing that we need or even remotely will need right now.  So I just decided to not bother.  I am looking forward to regular sale ads next week that won’t be so heavy laden with holiday items though!
