I have a few more hours left to Friday, so I’m at least not late.  We have had a fun week with my husband home and family in town.  I have been to the store three times this week but confess that I was only able to use coupons on one trip and the other two were just painful.  I don’t know if I can bring myself to type them up…  just think New Years party serving seafood to guests…

Here is my one good trip:

Total before coupons and sales: $54.69
Total Spent: $15.41
Total Saved: $39.28 or 71.8%

My other two trips put us way over budget to start our year, but it was great to entertain and I would do it again if we could.  That is a reason to coupon and save money in other places!!

I had high hopes of making it to CVS this week before 12/31 when all my coupons expired and couldn’t get there.  Now that most expired I have no desire to go.

How did you do this week?  Did you do any shopping?  Leave a link below to your post or comment.

Thank you so much for saying that sometimes you just can’t get to the store and sometimes your q’s expire and sometimes you just pay full price and deal with it b/c there aren’t enough hours in the day! Now I don’t feel so bad!! Moms can only do so much…:)-

    • Happens to me to Jenny. :)

It happens to me much more often than I would like. Doesn’t it stink when life gets in the way of what we want to do??? :)
      Thanks for all you do!

    • Linda

My daughter-in-law passed on someone else’s comment that they would send “Jenny at Southern Savers” their coupons this year, as she sends them to military families overseas. Could you please give me some additional information on that? We get no less than 3 papers on Sundays, all with coupons which I rarely use. I would love to get them to our military families overseas.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hey Jenny on my way out to go shopping, Just want you to know you are going to save me thousands in 09. So thanks for all you do. Also I love how far your blog has come in such short time their is nothing I don’t like about it.

To Linda: That may have been me that made that comment (on babycheapskate). Email Jenny privately at jenny@southernsavers.com. I am sure she does not want her mailing address posted publicly, but will be happy to respond to your email.

As for my Kroger trip, I got about $70 worth of stuff for only $13!!! I got just over $50 in P&G products, so I got $10 off my order. And I used lots of P&G eSaver coupons, and P&G paper coupons, plus I had a $3 credit on my Kroger card, plus a $6 off $40 customer appreciation coupon (that was left behind in the catalina machine at U-Scan!) I was amazed at how well I did! I scanned my receipt, because I had to mail the original to P&G to get the Year of Savings coupon book.

My total should have been $3.29 less than it was, because my Pantene eSaver coupon did not work.
