Okay I confess I have now broken my number one rule two weeks in a row.  I didn’t make it into any store again this week.  I will now go stand in front a mirror and lecture myself as to why you should never skip a week of sales.

Why?  Well you better be very stocked on the items that are on sale this week, because following sale cycles they won’t be back on sale for 6 weeks.

We were only in town for 4 days, and knowing that we were headed back out of town today I choose to just eat off of our stockpile.  Don’t fret though we have to… really have to… go shopping next week.  There is no more milk, juice, eggs, bread, etc.

Since we have no inspiring story, share your savings with us!  Comment or link to your savings below.

**Link only to your savings post and not to other deals that you have found.  This list is to encourage everyone not just to drive traffic to your site**

    • I think it’s great that you didn’t have to go to any store this week-everyone needs a little time off from shopping.

    • Left a link to an entry titled “Coupon Guilt”, but it’s about my super savings while drugstore shopping this week. I will be going into town tomorrow to go shopping at Harris Teeter, Kroger, and Giant… maybe I’ll update my link after I get back depending on how well I do.

I am amazed each week that my savings are increasing. So, I just got back from Publix and I got $263 for $118 and some change. It is the best feeling when I walk out the store. Thanks for all you do Jenny to help us save a buck.

I just started looking around at some couponing sites last Saturday, April 18. I latched onto your site rather quickly, as I live in Florida. My coupon gathering/spending plans mounted before any organization plans, but by Wednesday, I latched onto the Walgreens Mitchum for $2.99 get $2 catalina.. roll that to buy a $1.99 Chapstick (plus a filler to bring it up over the $2) get a $2 catalina … buy Mitchum with $2 catalina pay $1, get $2 catalina. Stockpiled 8 mitchums/8 chapsticks.

My husband only uses Mitchum, so it was worth the multiple rounds through a few different Walgreens that I pass during normal travels.

    • I had an awesome week! Saved about 68%!

I spent $20.98 at Publix on $79 worth of goods.

Highlights: .25 pasta roni and rice-a-roni, .57 wish bone salad dressing, $1.29 Beneful dog food, FREE Sauve shampoo and conditioner.

I spent $31.65 at BiLo on $89.55 worth of goods.

Highlights: $1.04 Herbal Essences Shampoo and Condiioner(I stocked up and bought 10 bottles), .59 Bird’s Eye frozen veggies, .50 Land o Lakes spreadable butter.

I’m so excited about the money I’m saving! I’ve only “extreme couponed” twice, and I already have a stockpile of shampoo, pasta, and cereal. And I’ve already pointed several friends in your direction. Several of us are planning to attend your workshop in Goose Creek next month! Thanks again Jenny for this site, it has made SUCH a difference!

      — She will tell you which week the coupon came out.

If you are just starting best thing to do is buy the paper for 1 month and then start. Keep your coupons in the flier DO NOT CUT THEM!!!

Write the Sunday date they come out on the front — File them in a filing cabinet/file box by date.

Then use Southern Savers website to match coupons to BOGO/Sales etc. That is the ONLY way I save money!!! I hate to pay full price for ANYTHING!!! I am cheap! or as my fellow coupon neighbors say “Fabulously Frugal”

Well, I admit that I am a “newbie” to all this couponing stuff…

I LOVE Aveeno skin care products, but they are always so expensive–so I took advantage of the Aveeno sale at CVS this week, and I think I did pretty well.

$50 worth of Aveeno products (those were the sale prices!!)
      -$ 4 Rite $4 off $20 Coupon
      -$10 Aveeno Coupon
      -$ 2 Aveeno Coupon
      -$ 2 Aveeno Coupon
-$10 ECB on $25 of Aveeno Products
-$10 ECB on $25 of Aveeno Products

$60 Worth of Aveeno Skincare for only $12!!!!!

I meant to say the $4 CVS $4 off $20 purchase coupon.
