Since this is 9/11, and I can’t say the date or write it without strong memories flooding in, I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has, or is now helping to keep this country safe.  Thanks also to the wives/husbands and families that let them serve.

Now that I have tears in my eyes, our savings this week:

I had plans to go shopping without kids Monday but it really turned into the whole family goes shopping.  Therefore I have no picture, my husband is not a fan of unloading groceries and taking pictures.  Sorry.  We did have a good trip and got some great deals.

Bi-Lo:
Total before sales and coupons: $76.08
Total Spent: $38.76
Total Saved: $37.32 or 49.1%

We got 16 lbs of Boston Butt, 6 lbs of Ground Beef, Banana’s, Grapes, Rice and BBQ Sauce.  It’s always great to get mostly meat and produce and still save almost 50%!

Publix:
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $64.56
Total Spent: $29.12
Total Saved: $34.55 or 53.5%

We got 15 cans soup, 5 goldfish snacks, 4 boxes of cereal, 1 bag of snack pack raisins, and some beer.  (I did mention before that my husband was shopping too…)

I had grand hopes of making it to CVS but we had family in town and time got away from me Saturday night.  I did go and get rain checks for everything though, so next week I can get everything and not fight anyone for it!

Weekly Totals:
Before sales and coupons: $140.64
Spent: $67.88
Saved: $72.76 or 51.7%

Yearly Totals:
Before coupons and sales: $4923.57
Spent: $1564.34 ($43.45 weekly average over 36 weeks)
Saved: $3359.23 or 68.2%
