Since October is National Book Month and National Cookie Month, Great American Cookie is celebrating both. You can get a free cookie tomorrow, October 1st, from 10 am- 2pm at any participating store.

Throughout the rest of the month you can get a free cookie by donating a new or gently used book at participating stores. There is a limit of one free cookie per person, per day. The books will be donated to a local public library or a local charity.

took my kids to the mall this morning to get our free cookie and didn't go as planned :(

went to the counter and asked for a cookie i was told 'our truck hasn't come in yet' turns out they were only giving away choc chip as the 'free cookie'…thought they were made fresh in the store so that just added to my confusion!?!?

of course, my kids were counting on cookies, so we ended up buying cookies…geez!

happy 'free' treating to others ;)

We had somewhat of a negative experience as well. They were hesitant in giving us cookies…gave us 1 cookie. I asked if both of my children could receive a cookie and she said its “supposed” to be 1 per family. I asked about the book donations and she said the same as well…that it will not be a cookie per book per child, but per family. She seemed pretty irritated and was not excited about book month…oh well, we got our cookies =)
