      Where are you Super Doubles??????????

      • Jen

I think Super Doubles are supposed to be the first week in November, saw that posted on another site.

        • Malariebeardsherman

          what are super doubles?

          • FreeorNearly

They double coupons up to $1.99, meaning a $1.50 coupon is worth $3. In other words, GREAT deals!

            • Malariebeardsherman

ok thank you very much that is a great deal :) Happy couponing

        • PuckettMom

      • Malariebeardsherman

What are super doubles I am  new to this

        • Jan

When HT does super doubles they will double coupons with a face value up to $1.98. So a coupon of $1.98 will double up to $3.96,  $1.25 will double to $2.50, $.75 will double to $1.50 and so on.  You are limited to only super doubling 20 coupons per day.  All coupons over the 20 limit will not double.  Only 3 coupons per like item can be used in one day. Hope this helps.

        • Derp

           Herp a derp

    • Jlonon

Is it just me or does this ad seem puny? -no offense to jenny!  Just the add seems really super small for HT!

      • Angelascoupons1

No, it is a pitiful list!  Wow…really bummed.

      • Ljohnson2215

Seems small b/c she doesn’t have the unadvertised deals yet…she said that will be posted tomorrow.

      • Jen

I was thinking the same thing, myself.

      • Sara

I always double check my HT local store website too—some areas have more/better deals than Jenny sometimes put. Her lists are great, but I always doublecheck with my HT store & continually find more deals.

      • Brooke

She said she would post more deals later!

      • Quick184

I agree. Jenny I heard super doubles was next week for HT. Have anyone heard?

        • Aline

My hubby is a bread vendor, he asked a receiver at HT in Greensboro about super doubles, she said November 2nd – 8th. YAY

          • Mertie

What is super doubles at ht.

      • Lindy

I read this on another blog about the weekly ADS…..
“He said that his supervisor told him that HT cut back on the the budget for their ads, so they are not listing “everything” that is going to be on sale anymore. There will be a lot of items not listed that will indeed be on sale come Wednesday morning. He also told me that starting next year, HT will go to a 1 page ad.. saving HT on the printing costs etc. I guess that means us ladies and gents will have to be on the lookout for the ending sale dates on products vs. using the ad. I personally think it’s HT’s way of slowing the number of coupons used the first couple of days on “FREE” items for us therefore allowing their stock not to be depleted so quickly.. we will have to find other ways to plan this all out!!! Just a heads up on this!”

        • Anonymous

If you sign up for e-Vic you get an e-mail with all of the sale items anyway.  I love Southern Savers for the coupon matchups but I tend to make my printable shopping list from the Harris Teeter website.

    • 28086

I guess I will be skipping Harris Teeters this week.!!!!:-).

    • Ladykattt

i think they are gearing up for a super doubles next week

    • Raynesmw

Yuck! I see a couple of things, maybe they will send an awesome evic sat special. Thanks, Jenny for all that you do for us. We appreciate you!

    • Jan of nc

The Wake Forest HT manager indicated that it would be Super Doubles next week…

    • guest

This ad makes Food Lion look good. LOL

    • Tyedyemomma

Yeah!!! We just ran out of chips so this is GREAT!!!!! My family loves the dill pickle Krunchers

    • Jjessestrom32

The mullers pasta coupon says do not double so it not going to be .15cents a box. Just FYI if it was on you list.

      • Angelascoupons1

It will still double as long as the coupon code starts with a 5.  Don’t let the do not double language deter you!  Have the checkout person scan the coupon – the computer will double it as long as the 5 is there!

    • melissa

New to HT. Is there a limit on the bogo free sales (I see there is on the buy 2 get 3) and how many of the same coupons can you use a day? Thanks

      • Anon

you can use three like coupons a day, per vic card. that includes internet coupons, but no free internet coupons. for the bogo deals, at the register there is no limit but if you ask for a raincheck they generally do a limit of 6-10

        • Anonymous

For Internet coupons it’s only 2 like coupons per transaction and for non-Internet coupons it’s 3 like coupons per transaction. Maximum of 20 coupons are doubled per day.

          • cristina

Actually, at my store, (although I’m unsure about others), you can only double up to 3 like coupons per transaction, but you can use as many as you want.

    • Melissa

      What is a tearpad??

      • Anonymous

a tear pad is something you find randomly in a store. It’s a stack of coupons on a pad you can pull off a coupon from. You might find them on a shelf or in other places in a store.

        • Melissa

Thanks.  I thought that is what it was, but I wanted to make sure.  When she shows a product on sale and uses a “tear pad coupon”, is the tear pad available now (or did she get it sometime previously)?

          • Anonymous

They may or may not be currently available. You just have to keep an eye out for them in your stores you shop at.I pull off a few and keep them until I find a deal on them. I don’t find them very often.

            • Melissa

              Thank you! :)

            • extremeisstupid

i spoke with a ‘couponer’ last week who happily claimed that she took “the whole tearpad”.   Please, don’t ever do this…take one for each in your household if you feel the need, but leave the rest of us a chance to get a few as well.   One hundred and fifty cans of chicken broth is ridiculous when you’re wider than your shopping cart.

            • Annie

I agree that it is inconsiderate to take the whole tearpad (or even half of it), but what in the world does being obese have to do with it?  Are you implying that only fat people would do such a thing?

          • Angelascoupons1

For whatever reason, some stores have better tearpads than others.  The HT nearest me does not typically have much (the beer department is the usual place to find tearpads).  Sometimes I find them at other HTs or even another grocery store that I don’t normally frequent.  Sometimes, I hit Food Lion for one deal and run through the beer department to see if there are new tear pads.  This is about the best we can do.  If you have friends who coupon, you could work as a team and all be on the lookout.  That’s what my friends and I do – good luck!

            • Melissa

               Thank you!  :)

    • Srhtabor

I have probably a stupid question. In the meal deal for 6.99 u getbball park franks, buns, chips n soda. Ball park is bogo on seperate deal so do u get 2 pkgs of hotdogs w/everything for 6.99??

      • Anonymous

I think you just get the one included with the meal deal. If you buy more than one you get them buy one get one free.

      • Some_where_outthere

The meal deal if for BEEF franks. The b1g1 is for just frank (the chix, pork and beef kind).

      • **couponer

Not a stupid question. I’m also a bit confused by this bc I just got my email ad from HT and it has regular AND BEEF listed as bogo….

    • Anonymous

Here’s a few more things in my ad:
      Wholly Guacamole $2.50
Kraft 8 oz shredded cheese B1G!
      Laughing Cow $1.99
Sara Lee pound cake or pecan coffee cake 1/3 off
      Bagel bites 25 percent off
Cereal $2.50  listed Trix, Cheerios, Totalm Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Golden Grahams

This was from the Nashville area ad

    • Srgordon

On their facebook page they have Del Monte being on sale again this week B2G3 free but on my express lane it doesn’t show this deal, has anyone heard or know if they are running this again

      • cd

In store, it was listed as running through 11/1/11…just got back from my trip and I asked a clerk if that tag was correct before I checked out-it was so I grabbed 2 deals worth!

    • Ajcmarshall

What is up with the express lane… They are only showing some deals and not others smh @ them

    • cd

Don’t forget to load up your Evic coupons this week! Got some really good deals on Totinos Pizza Rolls, 10 cans of Pillsbury items (Sweets, Grands, Crescents, etc.), Truvia, and a few other laundry items :) The soda deal is awesome- especially if you couple the deal x 2 with your Recyclebank $10 off $50! Roughly $68 worth of soda (10 x 12 packs) for ~$16 [$68-Vic discount of ~$41-$10 coupon]….love when I can do this-soda for the house for the next 3 months for dirt cheap.

    • There is a .50 Old Orchard printable.

      • guest

where is the Old Orchard coupon?

    • Sandra

If anyone shops today, could you please list the price of the Kraft 8 oz. cheese that is B1G1.  Thanks so much!

      • Angelascoupons1

Sandra, use the Express Lane feature on the HT website…you can get prices on everything in the store.

      • cd

Originally $3.99 so my bag was only $1.99.

    • Lukiesmommy

where, can u get copy of HT super double policy.on this site under Qp is only about doubling up to .99cents

      • Savn2gether

I’m not sure where you can get a copy, unless you contact the HT corporate office. However, super doubles follows the same rules as the regular coupons. The only difference is they will double coupons up to $1.98 in value (instead of the regular $.99). They will still only double up to 20 coupons per day, per card; any additional coupons will be taken at face value. You can use up to 3 coupons per like item, or 2 interent coupons per like item. Hope that helps!

    • Belladonna197848

      what is e vic?

      • Savn2gether

E-Vic is a special program HT has for its customers (in addition to the regular vic card). You can sign up online or in the store, and you’ll receive the email newsletter each week. You’ll also receive special pricing on certain items (usually at least 1 e-vic item each week plus updates for items on sale over the weekend). If you shop at HT, it’s definitely worth becoming an e-vic member.

      • Savn2gether

I already posted below, but you can also select special e-vic coupons online that go straight to your vic card.

    • Celo

Anyone in the Morehead City NC area they are having triple coupons again this week!

      • cd

      • Tisha

        Yep, triples!

      • Rmrmii

Really, i’m in New Bern and we aren’t but I will take the drive:-)0

      • Joy

I work there occasionally and that HT used to have triples all the time I loved it! I would pack my cooler and shop on my way home back to Wilmington

    • Kelllynn

I have 3 enfamil coupons to trade, would love axe coupons or any greek yogurt q’s!!
please email me at kelllynn.bianchi@gmail:disqus .com

      • Kelllynn

    • specialeducator

Hi to all you couponers. I am a special education teacher teaching learning disabled adults how to shop using coupons in my independent living skills class. I could use you expiered coupons in my lesson plans. If you have any expied coupons that you would like to donate please e.mail msal1342@yahoo.com. Thanks and God bless you.

    • AhhaMom

In my area, BOGO includes Kraft shredded cheese and pop secret 3 pack popcorn.

    • DianaY19

I’m in Charlotte and the Old Orchard Juice is the $3.29 (100 % juice) not the “healthy balance” type that’s 2.99.  Either way, it’s a good deal.  There’s a 50cent q on old orchard’s website that will double making the juice just 31cent a piece.  Can’t beat that for 100% no sugar added juice.

      • trianglemom

HT jacked the price up for the B2G3 sale!  I checked yesterday morning and they definately were $2.99 before the sale started.

        • guest

If they are 2.99 each and it’s b2g3, I have 2 coupons .50 that will double to $1 each… so that comes up to .80 each? or am I missing something? (I like Healthy Balance).

          • Cheryl

You are correct… that makes it .80 each. I wish I could get it for .31! I have my two .50 coupons but I’m hoping another store might have it on sale and it will be less than 2.99.

            • So wish I would have read this before today (monday, sale ends tomorrow). the jacked the price up here too. Morehead City, NC. Last time they did the b2g3f Old Orchard it included the Healthy Balance, this time…NO! I was so ill. My 2yr freaks out on sugar so I had to get 2 Healthy Balance, which I am thankful for, but would have appreciated the sale to include healthy balance like it did last time.

    • Ctomblin

At my HT some Lunchables are BOGO @ $3.49, however there are clearance ones that have been discontinued with in-store $1.50 off coupons on them so they’re just 25 cents.  And they’re dated November 17th, not in a couple of days like most things they put those yellow coupons on, so you can stock up.

Harris Teeter has Old Orchard juice on sale this week – Buy 2, Get 3 free. By becoming a member of Old Orchard, one can print several juice coupons that should be applicable. Also, by “liking” them on Facebook, there’s a coupon for their Cranberry Juice. I’m not sure if this specific juice is part of HT’s sale. (I won’t be shopping till later in the week.)

Has anyone in the Charlotte area found the shrimp at $13.99??? At my store, it is priced at $27 which mean you have to spend over $50 to get the 5 bags (not a good deal)!!!

      • Cathy

I bought some shrimp at Aldi’s several weeks ago and it was $6 a pound.  The HT special comes to $5.40 per pound, if you want 10 pounds of shrimp.

It’s all about TIMING your purchases against HT’s “buy 1 get 1” sales on the products you do use (HT’s B1G1 generally means each item rings up half-price, so you don’t have to buy 2). I mostly only eat healthy foods (often gluten-free), so since most coupons are for processed or junk foods, they’re worthless to me — I pass them on to military bases or leave “gifts” on the shelves for others to discover.

As Jenny has taught, most sales on a given product run in 6-wk cycles. So, if chicken breasts aren’t B1G1 this wk, they likely will be within next 5 wks — when they are, buy enough to last another 4-6 wks until they go B1G1 again. Just doing this alone keeps me at roughly 50% savings on each receipt; coupons inch me up to 60-70% total savings (though, coupons take a lot of time to organize, which I don’t have w/my 50-60 hrs/wk job lately). Mind you, I usually end up buying produce either at Walmart, local Farmer’s Markets, or an Asian produce market, since HT’s prices are high & sales rarely match Walmart’s produce prices.  HTH…

What I’ve done since I’ve started couponing…is I don’t buy based on what I used to eat in the past…I now eat whatever it is that I can get cheap each week at Harris Teeter and Farm Fresh using double manufacturer coupons.  I eat very different things each and every week, just based on the ads.  I go shopping every week, I don’t buy a ton at once or buy for the month, I buy just for that week.  I also do Register Rewards at Wags…so I don’t stay true to any particular brand when it comes to toothpaste, personal care products/beauty products…I use what I get cheap or free each week at Wags.  It was really a whole turn around that I had to do, but it’s been amazing.  I spend about $5 a week for groceries and beauty/health…I have a medium stockpile and my pantry is always full with food.  I clip each and every single coupon, not just “what I used to buy in the past”, and save those coupons in my binder until I can match it up to get it free at the store. I’ve bought more brand names now than ever…before couponing it was nothing but Great Value for me…now I get all name brand for free or pennies (much cheaper than Great Value).  I don’t even go to extreme measures either, I get one newspaper delivered, and I work with that.  It can be done.  :)  But yes, had to change some cooking habits.

Harris Teeter in Chesapeake, VA has Sara Lee Lunch meat on sale 2/$8 which makes it 4 a pack (not fresh sliced deli, the pre packaged).  On some of the turkeys there is a $2 off HT coupon making each pack $2 and using the RP .75 off coupon I got a pack for 1.25…not bad for lunch meat.
