This is your very early heads up that Harris Teeter will start super doubles next Wednesday 2/17!  This means that coupons that are $1.98 or less will double.  You are allowed 20 doubled coupons per day.

I will have a list of deals up for you by Saturday night!!

(thanks Tara!)

I’m very excited, for the first time I will be near a Harris Teeter for a couponing event!  Guess I gotta get a Vic card!!

    • Abigail

Hooray!! My husband uses the clinical strength deodorant and he's running low. The kind he insists on using doesn't go one sale often but I always find coupons for like $1.50 off so I love it when HT has the double days! =)

    • Kathi

Thank you SO much, maybe all the coupons I pulled to spend at Pig but they didn't have the brands won't be for naught!

    • JamieB89

yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!! :) Freebies here I come!!

    • sbdugger

Do you have to have a VIC card to get the super doubles? If so, I'm applying immediately!

      • Marlene/CLT

Yes, you have to have a VIC card, both for the sale prices and to get double coupons.

      • jennnifer

yes you do. I was able to get one at my HT right there the first day I went. I just went to the customer service desk when I got in the store, filled out the form, and got my VIC card on the spot. But, the e-vic item won't be activated on your card for something like 4 weeks. Not a big deal really, it's only one item and it's not always that great of a deal anyway.

        • Julie

When I applied for Evic m it was active after 1 week. Now they send me mid week special discounts and sometimes free items to my email too. I was told they are individually designed based on your shopping habits and are different for most everyone. I had a free box of HT tissues a few weeks ago.

        • sarahNC

On mine I get several e-vic specials per week…they're listed on the bottom of my receipt.

          • Lisa in Charlotte

You can go to the customer service desk or any cashier (I usually go to the Uscan attendent since they're by the door) and ask them to print out your e-vic specials before you start shopping. It takes about 3 seconds. This way you have a list of what you qualify for before you check out.

      • ljbtrfly

yes to get any kind of double coupons at the deals at H.T. you must have a vic card.

    • Jenny

How long does the super doubles promo last?

      • jennnifer

it's usually one week, from Wednesday to tuesday

    • beth

Woo Hoo! Our Wednesday date night to Harris Teeter (We each have VIC cards.) will be very exciting…. He says I am amazing now….the Proverbs 31 woman of couponing. THANKS, Jenny!

      • Kristin

Heehee! I like the title your husband gave you :)

    • Allyson

Do you know if this is confirmed? Just checking.

      • Anonymous

I'll confirm it. I work at a newspaper and saw the insert myself. Definitely super doubles starting Wednesday!

        • Allyson

          Great! Thank you!

    • brownhaven

Thanks for the heads up. It is really good to know ahead of time so I can get my coupons in order! I am looking forward to the SD since last time I was sick and couldn't make it ot the store till the last day of the SD's.

      • Rachel

I missed the last Super Doubles too in January so I'm really excited about this!

    • nancy

I am soo happy. It is about time. And a week notice to boot. ya'll just made my day!!

    • RebeccaFer

How nice to be able to actually prepare for this one! I had heard rumblings and had seen confirmation last night in our Charlotte area from a Mom's message board I'm on but it's nice to see an additional confirmation from you. :D I have sooooo much to do! Now I'm hoping Bloom does their knee jerk reaction again but pulls a Triples out of their hat! Wouldn't that be wildly fun and extremely frazzling, lol. I'd like to have a problem like that though. :D

    • PalmettoStateSaver

      YAY! YAY! YAY! Thanks Jenny!!

    • Angela_Marie

Yay!!! I was hoping it would happen next week! I'm ready!!

If you are not close to one, do what my daughter and granddaughters do, get a hotel room with indoor pool and spa, shop and have a girls night and shop.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Williamsburg and shopped at the new Harris Teeter. Womderful store and very friendly personnel. You got to go there.

I have a question about how HT doubles coupons. I just started shopping there about 2 months ago so I'm a newbie :) Anyways- when a coupon says “do not double or triple” will HT still double it since it's just their policy? or does this statement on the coupon affect how they enter it? Thank you in advance!

      • Christi

As long as the coupon barcode starts with either a 5 or a 9 it should double it… stating “do not double” on the coupon is kind of the manufacturer's way of letting the store out of it, if they don't want to double. Typically tho, they should all double.. the only thing is (at my store anyway) is that they will not double any of the blinkie's from the store, or any of the Catalina's which say not subject to doubling… Good luck!

        • emadton

if the coupon starts with a 9 then it will NOT double (the blinkie's from HT start with a 9 therfore do ot double, usally the ones from Food Lion start with a 5 so they will double!)

    • Heather

Yippee!!!! have been a little under the weather lately and haven't checked in, BOY OH BOY was I glad to see this post!! Thanks for the heads up:)

    • Cynthia

I shopped there this week and saw some sales that will run through next week that should make them free or nearly so. Lance crackers was one, and Olde Cape Cod Dressing was another. I'm excited, because I had just tried their dressings when HT had them b1g3, and when I wrote them on their website to let them know how well I liked their product, some printable Q's popped up, including $1/2 on the dressings. Will not be free, but at b1g1, it'll be a great price for good quality dressing. (no high fructose corn syrup!)

    • Jessica

You say only 20 per day. Is it per day, or per transaction? Would they let me go through again in the same day? Or is it linked to my VIC card?

    • Iris

I went to HT today, and none of these prices were still good in my Raleigh store. Does anyone know why? They had the new flyer out, but I had made my list based on this post, so it really messed me up. I'm new to this, so I need help!
