Here are all the deals at Harris Teeter starting 8/26. I planned on having this up by 5pm, but it ended up being a much longer list than I planned! I hope the over 30 free things makes for fun shopping, it ought to keep you busy at least.

Don’t worry about deals with any coupon less than $1 this week. They will double those on a regular basis so focus on the coupons that they wouldn’t double normally.

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items, each item will ring up half price.
2. Coupons are doubled that are $1.98 or less.
3. They will double 20 coupons per day/transaction.
4. You must have a VIC card to get sale prices and for your coupons to double.
5. Most stores only allow one coupon per B1G1 deal, so only buy one per transaction if possible.

**Tip: Hand over coupons in order of value starting with $1.50 coupons going down in value**

    • Charlotte in SC

Our Harris Teeter in Charleston, hwy 17, doesn’t take competitor coupons :-( Oh well…Let’s see what fun we can have anyway!! Thank you Jenny!

    • kate

FYI Some of the Deer Park waters had $1/1 Peelies last week at my Harris Teeter (Nashville)

    • Beth W

might have to make my first HT run :)

    • Yay! I was eagerly awaiting this list! Thanks Jenny.

    • Tara

Thanks so much! I can’t wait! There are lots of good items for my school lunch stockpile.

    • Sue

This is a very comprehensive list. Thanks a bunch!!!

    • Anyone having problems getting the Mott’s printable?? It’s not coming up as an option for me when I click on download coupons.

    • Carolyn

Check the UPC on your $1.50/1 Hot Shot q’s. Mine start with a 9 so they won’t double.

    • Christine W

Petrina, I couldn’t get it as an option either.

    • Colleen

I think the Motts is gone. I printed one a while ago, but it is no longer there on the link.

    • Tara

This list ROCKS!!! You will be in the Observer this Sunday!!!

    • Amber

Yeah, Motts wasn’t an option either

    • Wendy

FYI for the HT in Florence, SC. They no longer take $1.50 internet coupons. They only take up to $.99 internet coupons and then you can only use two printables. They will take any manufacturer’s coupon, no competitors.

    • kathyctts

What do you guys do if a cashier misses one of your coupons? I didn’t notice until after the fact. It was a bummer, my clorox should have been 50 cents!

    • kathyctts

I think I am an E vic member, I get the emails, is it automatically tied to my VIC card number?

    • kathy- you can take the receipt back along with your coupon and they’ll give a credit for it (at least my nearby HT does!). Yes, if you’re an evic member it is auto-tied to your VIC card. HTH!

    • erin

      thank you so much!

    • Sarah

I am not sure your math is correct on some of the coupons that require the purchase of 2 items. For example, you posted:

JIF peanut butter 18 oz at $2.79
-$1/2 Smucker’s and JIF product SS 8/16 (makes it .39¢ ea)

But $1/2 would double to be $2/2 or in other words, $1 off each one, making the final price $1.79 each. Right?

      Same with this example:

Lipton Tea Bags 24ct at $2.29
-$1/2 Lipton Tea RP 8/02 (makes it .14¢ ea)

The $1/2 coupon would double to be $2/2 or in other words, $1 off each one, making the final price $1.29 each. Right?

    • Sarah

OH, NEVERMIND – I just realized those deals were BOGO… SORRY!!!

    • Julie

If my husband has a DL from a different state(he is military) could he sign up for a vic-card as well? There arent any HT in WV but I wonder if they would let him sign up for one. Anyone know? When I signed up for mine they just asked for my DL to verify my address.

    • maryann

What time do you go to the grocery store in the morning?

    • Mandy

I found $1 off Ken’s Dressing SS 8/02 instead of 08/09. Just wanted to highlight that for other users. Thank you *so* much for the match-ups.

    • Judy

How do you get the $1.50 coupons that are listed above to print? I’m very new at this.

    • Molly

My HT in Charleston, SC said during triples that they will no longer triple (or double) the Unilever coupons (from the Publix booklets; like the Raise Your Hand one). During previous Super Doubles those coupons did not double automatically, but the manager would come over and see that it doesn’t say “Do not double” and would give the override. Last time when they said this it was a manager I have not liked previously, but I didn’t argue.

Has anyone else run into this issue with the Unilever coupons at HT?

    • Kristie

I go to HT at 6 because that’s what time they open. But I guess that for 24 HT’s Midnight is game on!!!!!

    • Christal

kathyctts #15. I have had this happen SEVERAL times. What I have started doing is before I hand over my coupons I count them out to the clerk so they know how many I have and if I don’t end up seeing them all on the reciept they can go back through and know which ones were missed.

    • Tina

Wendy, in reply to #13, did you speak to someone at florence HT to find this out, or find out at the register? Did they just start this? Tina in Florence

    • Amber

Molly #24 are you shopping at the HT off of Long Point in MtPleasant? I want to try and shop there today and was wondering if it’s a hastle? worth doing?

    • Amy Cole

If a coupon is missed the service desk will refund the cash in Charlotte. We can also use 2 coupons on BOGOs. And if you have a big stack of coupons, they don’t go thru to see which goes with what item, so you can purchase a different product with the same sku#. Yesterday I saved $136! Good luck!

    • I know Florence HT only takes 2 internet printables at a time but don’t know anything about the amount… will try to ask next time I am in there!

    • Kari

I was reading the policy about super double coupons on the Harris Teeter website, and it said that only one coupon will be accepted on b1g1 items. Is this new? I am new to couponing, and haven’t had a problem, so far, with using two coupons on b1g1 at HT before. If true, I’m going to have to make a much smaller list and pull some coupons from my HT envelop!

    • Tammy

Charleston HT’s —– Harris Teeter WILL take competitor coupons if the coupon is for a total amount off. Not product coupons but total purchase coupons. For example Publix $4 off your next grocery purchase, HT will take at the end of ringing you up. Please Note, this is for grocery store competitors only. Not drug stores, target etc. but Grocery stores only.

    • Beth

I did a quick run this morning at HT. One of the items I got was the Frenchs mustard. The bottle had a peelie on it for a free bottle of spicy brown mustard when you buy 14oz yellow mustard. So, I got the 2 mustards for FREE!!!! I got so much food this time, instead of the usual health or household stuff too!
Total before VIC and coupon: $117.68
      VIC savings $33.12
      Coupons: 61.22
      Total spent (tax included): $24.44
I think this is my best trip so far :)

    • Kari

Well duh…I just found the answer to my question right at the top of this page, go figure! lol I see where Jenny already addressed the b1g1 issue.

    • Cat

Just reporting in results from HT in Ballantyne: Spent $9.20, saved $40.80.

Good news, Borden Sensations cheese was $1.79, making it FREE w/coupon.

Not good news (ambivalent news?), couldn’t find Muir Glen tomato paste at $1.25, and couldn’t find the Revlon nail clippers in the Revlon section. And they were out of stock on the Activia.

Did find, and buy, Ken’s steakhouse dressings (only had 1 $1/off coupon though), 2 Pop Tarts, both Dawn dish detergents, Philly cheeses, Jif, Smuckers & CakeMate candles. A pretty good haul for Super Doubles. Thanks Jenny!

    • Kimber

fyi… Jimmy Dean sandwich products are not on sale as listed above at the HT Mount Pleasant, Long Point Rd. location.

    • Kimber

For those of you in Charleston, SC area

Mt Pleasant, Long Point Rd. HT will take Rite Aid and CVS total amount off coupons example 5 off total of $25. They take it at the end and a manager will have to come over and do an override so the register will take it. I used both CVS and Rite Aid coupons this morning and a couple weeks ago during the triple coupon event.

    • Molly

Amber #28, no at the new HT on Savannah Hwy in W. Ashley.

I went this morning and tried again with the Unilver coupon (for Lipton tea) and was told that they won’t double it. The cashier said the manager called Unilever and they said they won’t double for some reasons related to fraud. but it makes no sense to me because Unilver isn’t paying the double, right? HT is, yes? Anyway, I didn’t argue…just removed that item from my cart and took my coupon back!

Am interested if anyone else is encountering the same. Perhaps I’ll try a different HT.

    • Jeff

I know it’s a little late for this. I just discovered the comments section here. During the HT triple coupon sale a few weeks ago, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter was B1G1 for $2.99. I bought two ICBINB Cooking and Baking Sticks and two ICBINB Sprays. I tried to use four $0.75 coupons to get it all for free because I thought each item would ring up at half price. The cashier scanned the coupons but had some kind of problem with two of them. A manager came over to help, lokked at everything, and said I could only use two of the coupons because of the B1G1 free. The cashier gave me back two of my coupons. I looked at my receipt after I left the store to figure out how much I saved and saw that I did get all of the “Not Butter” for free. I only needed to use three coupons. The cashier gave me back two coupons when he only should have given back one. Anyway, when he scanned the fourth coupon, it caused the “problem”. It was as if I were trying to use a coupon for something I hadn’t bought yet. This is how it added up.

      $2.99 x 4 = $11.96
      – $2.99 (after all my items had been scanned)
      – $2.99 (again)
      – $0.75 scanned coupon
      – $1.50 multiplied coupon
      – $0.75 scanned coupon
      – $1.50 multiplied coupon
      – $0.75 scanned coupon
      – $0.73 multiplied coupon
      Total = FREE
Even though the each coupon was for an individual item, its value was distributed across multiple items.

    • Holly A

I had the same problem with Unilever Qs a few weeks ago. It was a 0.55 off Q and they wouldn’t double it. Wish Unilever wouldn’t use 9 barcodes, or at least if they said DND I would feel better about it.

    • ryan

What do the deals in red mean? I’m new at this site and confused! :)

    • bridget

I have not had any problem with Unilever coupons at either HT in Chapel Hill. In fact, they are very nice, they even went so far as to manually double my $1 DND wine tags today (they started with a 5 barcode, not the dreaded 9). They also let me substitute a more expensive bottle of Dawn rather than issuing a raincheck for an out of stock item (99 cents for the small bottle), which made it free with only a 50 cents coupon.

To Jeff with the ICINB trouble, HT will only take 3 of the same coupon (or 2 of same if it’s an internet printable), no matter how many you buy of the item, so maybe 4th coupon is what triggered the trouble. They do have an official policy of only one coupon per bogo, but since they ring at half price, not one full price and one free, they will usually take 2 coupons. You could always split your transactions or buy more on a later trip if they give you a hard time about it, because you do not have to buy 2 to get half off for bogo deals.

    • amber

Thanks Molly, Jeff and Kimber for the info on HT Long Point. !!

    • ACW

Total before VIC and coupon: $143.59
      VIC savings $44.44
      Coupons (face value x2): $39.50
      Total spent (tax included): $59.65

…going back tomorrow with my second set of 20… ;)
Thanks so much for sharing these fabulous deals!

    • ACW

p.s. For others planning to shop in Durham NC… at our location, Jimmy Dean products are not on sale, and the Alexia chips could not be located… pull second-choice coupons just in case?

    • anonymous

I would just like to thank you so much for what you do here. I used to be a coupon fanatic, but when time got short the first thing I cut out was my coupon time. I have since been forced to get back into this, and was lucky enough to find out about your site. Thanks to you, I have managed to still have time for family while also having the time to save even more money.

    • Samantha D

There is a coupon on the SmartSource page for $1.00 off any Lightlife product, making it $1/1 = $.99!

    • Kay

I am just wondering…Why some coupons are marked “DO NOT DOUBLE”?
I thought the store covers the cost, not the manufacturer.

    • candice

Wouldn’t the starbucks icecream be $1?
I always have bad luck with most deals. Getting a tad discouraged.

    • katie in virginia

Had a great trip with the kiddos in the cart this morning!
I was planning on buying some Muir Glen tomato paste, but it was not on sale at my HT. Also, I had second thoughts about buying shredded wheat, since the only type on sale was the BIG biscuit kind, not the bite size kind. So, I stocked up on 6 of the Hormel Completes – they are perfect food for a pantry that serves those in need: meat, vegetables, no refrigeration required. Good thing I had my back up coupons ready to go in case!
Thanks, Jenny for all your hard work!

    • ACW

      @ Candice #50
My Starbucks ice cream did work out to be $1 each.

      @ Katie #51
I’m kind of intrigued by the big-biscuit Shredded Wheat, but only got two boxes instead of the four I had planned to get. Should be interesting…

    • Rachel Charlton

Had so much fun at my Nashville HT!

      Spent: $23.93
      Saved: $73.82

Money makers: YoPlus Yogurt (+.76) & Dole fruit cup (+.50)!
Free: Dole fruit cup, Friskies treats, Edge trial size, J&J medical tape (& 2 flosses for .09 each)!

I have just been doing this for about 6 weeks, but it is saving so much money & I now stick to my list b/c I want my bill LOW!

    • Cat

      @Kay #49
These coupons will still double if the bar code starts with a “5”. As Jenny put it in a workshop, it’s almost like the manufacturer’s put DND on the coupons to give the store an out if they don’t want to double them.

In my experience, even the most neurotic of cashiers (the woman who lined up every one of my 20 coupons and peered at them to make sure none were expired) didn’t care if the text said “do not double” on them, she just scanned them and they doubled automatically since the bar codes started with 5.

    • Cat

      @Rachel #53
I do the same thing! I go for a “coupon run” first thing Wednesday morning before I go to work. Then I do my regular runs for the eVic items and other grocery items later on in the week. :)

    • OKay, I’m new to HT…but I have a ?

I know that HT does not give overage (bummer!), BUT if a coupon doubles for MORE than the price of the item, will they accept it? Will the register simply adjust the q to the price to make the item free…or is the register going to beep and tell the cashier I can’t use that q? Does this vary store to store or is there a policy for this? (I’m in CHarleston, SC)

    • Jeff

Reply on comments #39 and #42.

I forgot to mention that two of the coupons were for ICBINB Cooking/Baking Sticks and two were for ICBINB Spray. I’m very careful about only using two duplicate coupons printed from the internet and three duplicate coupons from the newspaper.

    • Jeff

      Reply on comment #56.

You can get overages if you are lucky. This morning I bought two Reach Dental Flosses for $1.39 each and used the $1.50/2 coupon. It doubled for the full $3.00 amount. The $0.50/1 coupon for Reach Floss tripled for the full amount a few weeks ago during the triple coupon sale. It’s the only item where I’ve seen an overage so far.

If the coupon doubles for more than the item’s price, the register will usually adjust the discount automatically to equal the item’s price making it free (you still pay sales tax on free items). I don’t know of any store to store variations but this is how my sales receipt would look for a free double coupon item:

      Food Item $1.00
      – $0.75 scanned coupon
      – $0.25 multiplied coupon

    • Tiffany

Hi! I usually just shop at BiLo and Publix but am going to take a pilgrimage to HT this week : ). It’s about 25 miles away so I wonder if I could make 2 trips in one day with 20 coupons each? Will my VIC card sound off an alarm letting them know I’ve already used my 20 coupons? : ) What about visiting two different HT’s?

    • Denita

The HT located at 21st Ave. So & Blair, Nashville, TN has me scratching my head. This place is the MOST confusing place I have ever shopped in my life. Watch out for the RULES that apply to the various promotions. With SUPER DOUBLES re: BOGOF, you can only use one coupon. This HT will not be accepting the U-promise coupons soon; so I was told by customer service. Watch the monitor! The coupons from the Raise Your Hand Booklet is not doubling. I had ( 3 ) manufacturers coupons that did not register when scanned and no handled my complaint. They was more concerned with getting me out of the store because the line was getting long. Also, once the total button was depressed, I had a coupon value and the multiplied coupon amount appear on my receipt as though I had just purchase something. CRAZY!!! I can’t explain it, but I can’t see myself shopping here very much if at all.

    • Rachel

The Motts is not available—BUT a great $1 off coupon for a 12 pk of Goldfish crackers is! THANKS for this list & all the hard work that went into it!

    • Erica

TryV8.com has been reset to print (2) $1 off V8 Fusion coupons per computer making final price $1.49 (Sale price $3.49-$1(doubled)). This is a great price on V8 Fusion juice!

    • Katrina

My Harris Teeter (Waxhaw, NC) would not accept two $1/2 coupons on the buy 2 get 3 free deals. (Ken’s dressing and Breyers ice cream) The register beeped and then the cashier said I was only buying two.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to explain why they should let me use both coupons since I’m “buying” five items–just three of them are free. Or is it unethical to withhold my VIC to the very end after the coupons have been accepted and then let them double with the card? Or to do the transaction at u-scan and not scan the VIC card till after they scan coupons?

Also, they did not give overages. Bummer. But generally speaking, it was a good trip. I’m just wanting that cheap ice cream. :)

    • Melissa

HT in Hendersonville is accepting competitor’s Qs!! Not total amount off Qs ($4 off $20) but the actual Target, Publix, etc. Qs. I don’t know if they will dbl.

    • Lauren

Does anyone know if HT will double Catalinas? I have a $1.50 Q for Gain that printed at BiLo. This would be a great deal on laundry detergent!

    • Summer

I am confused how the French’s mustard is free? If it’s 1.89, and my 50 cent coupon is doubled to $1, doesn’t this leave me paying $.89??

    • Kate

I also printed out the Kashi Honey Clusters(?) cereal coupon from the coupons.com website… it appears after the featured coupons get printed in that list… it is $1.50 off of 1 so at HT this week it ended up being .69! Great deals…

    • Sarah

How will the Frenchs mustard end up being free if it is 1.89 to begin with and the coup is for .50/1? Wouldn’t it still be .89?

    • Sarah

#66… haha, I just saw your comment above mine… great question!

    • nancy

I did not get the Cascadian Farms Cereal or Granola Bars could anyone recomend the right zipcode. thx

    • FYI…the HT in Mt. Pleasant, SC by the Cooper River Bridges also takes CVS and Rite Aid coupons. Have used $5 off $25 purchase several times.

    • Melissa

Sorry guys the Hendersonville HT is NOT accepting competitors coupons on individual items, but IS accepting amount off total Qs ($4 off $20) but they have to be from Grocery Stores (NOT, target, CVS or Rite-aid) :( Does anyone know where to get a coupon like this for a grocery store?

    • chels

june all you mag also has a Q for bordens single sensations $1 off expires 8/30 they r $2.19 making it $0.19

    • I just had the worst cashier experience at the East Bay HT in Charleston. She was so hostile about my coupons and treated me like an idiot and a criminal. I have never cried at the grocery store before. Any one had a positive experience contacting HT corporate office?

    • nancyu

I have only gotten a fl Q as a catilina that could be used for ht. And Rite aid.

    • Jen Swaringen

      Brenda #74 comment

You should definitely call corporate. My MIL had been mistreated before and called corporate. They then call the store manager who will call you. My MIL has gotten gift cards for her bad experiences.

    • Kate

for the B2G3free (like pepsi and bryers) do you have to get five or can you get one or two and they ring up at a discounted price like the b1g1?

    • Lisa

Watch your receipt. I gave my coupons first and then my vic card a few weeks ago during the triples. and Now of my coupons tripled. The manager had to figure up what I was susposed to get and give to to me in cash. They were very helpful but it was time consuming. The manager said to give your vic card first and it would have been fine.

    • Pam

      Brenda #74,

So sorry about your East Bay HT experience. I think the people at the James Island HT and the new one on Savannah Hwy. are extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely talk to the store manager at the East Bay HT about the cashier’s attitude. There is no reason for them to treat anyone rudely.

    • Sam

I have not had good experience with HT customer service. A year ago I was about 8 1/2 months pregnant and in line checking out I was buying normal stuff, except I did have two chocolate bars in the cart when the lady scanned them she said, oh having cravings? I said no they are for my husband and then she proceeded to tell me it was a good thing I wasn’t eating them because I was huge! She had never seen a pregnant women as big as me, and that I must be having triplets. Needless to say with the pregnancy hormones ranging, I didn’t utter a word and just let her finish checking me out, by the time I reached my car I was a wreck. I called the store from my car and gave the manager the cashiers name and she said she would speak to her. I also typed a letter on the website and I never heard anything back!!! I now drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to a different HT

    • nancy

I had a great time at my ht on oleander in Wilmington, NC. the managers or couponers too. And They are supper nice. I was able to use some Qs out of the mango book. I bought milk and and other healthy stuff. However, I could not find the Lightlife Smartdogs anyone know where to look. I did the produce and freezer and meat section.

    • HT in Rocky Mount NC does not enter sale prices until after 2:00 am and for the coupons-triples, super doubles don’t go into effect until 7:00 am. My dgt and I made a midnight run- I had to go back to get the real deals when the sun came up. Our HT also does not accept competitor coupons anymore-bummer.

    • Jennifer

      Amber #28

I shop at the Long Point Rd HT all the time! Try to avoid it on the weekends, though…it can get pretty crowded! I’d also encourage to aim for one of the younger cashiers for more ease with your coupons; there’s one named Emily who is especially coupon friendly!

One of my coupons gave a “check item” message once, so Emily had to pull the item out of the bag and call a manager over to prove that I was buying the item that the coupon was for. The manager verified that I was buying the right item for the coupon, but then had trouble scanning my internet coupon and tried to tell me that “it won’t scan being that it’s an internet coupon. If it won’t scan, we can’t accept it.” Well, Emily had already scanned about 15 internet coupons for me with no problem and she told me that she uses them herself. So she tried one more time and got it to scan!

    • Jeff

      Reply on comment #63 (Katrina)

Try buying just two of the Breyers ice cream and using your $1.00/2 coupon to see what happens. I know B1G1 free offers ring up at half-price if you buy only one. I’ve never tried B2G3 offers but see if the Breyers rings up $2.24 each when you buy only two ($5.59 x 2 = $11.18, $11.18 / 5 = $2.24).

      2 Breyers x $2.24 = $4.48
      – $1.00 (scanned coupon)
      – $1.00 (doubled)
Total = $2.48 (or $1.24 each plus tax)

Also, be careful about scanning your VIC card after everything else (see comment #78).

As a general rule, if it’s B1G1 free and one coupon will not make both items free, then instead of trying to use two coupons, see if buying one at half-price and using one coupon will make it free. Then go back and do it again on another trip with your second coupon. It takes a little more time but it might save you a hassle at the register.

I’ve been testing the limits of HT’s sales lately and I’ve come across some inconsistencies. Multiple coupons were allowed on ICB It’s Not Butter B1G1 free items (see comments #39 and #57) and overages were allowed on Reach Dental Floss (see comment #58).

    • michelle

I went today and used 15 coupons, on the receipt where is says multiplied coupon there are only 10 coupons listed and some of them say .50 instead of the 1.50 they were supposed to be!!! Will HT refund my money if I go back??

    • Trying to make it work

Hello all- Well, I just got back from HT and am a little frustrated. It took me almost 3 hours to come up w/ my list for HT and CVS, the savings at HT? Only $21- argh. Where am I going wrong? Also, consistently finding that the coupons listed in the circulars are not in mine. I’m in Charlotte, is anyone else having this problem? Do you clip your coupons before you go or just take everything with you? How do you organize your coupons? Right now mine are organized monthly. I’ve heard it should only take 30 mins to prepare to go, but I have never done it in less than 1 1/2 hrs. HELP!!!

    • michelle

im in charlotte and always have the coupons listed….i have all of mine cut out and filed in a 3 ring binder in baseball card organizers.

    • H. H.

Hi! I’m a cashier at a Greensboro, NC HT, and here’s a few answers to previous q’s: (at least as they apply to my store!)

Typically catalina coupons will not double, nor will “in-store” coupons that you take out of dispensers on shelves… they have EAN codes which “start with 99” and have 13 digits, so they’re easy to tell apart from a regular UPC starting with a 5, and having 12 digits! We also don’t take internet coupons for FREE product =( but will take regular kinds for money off items. We will take competitor’s coupons for money off a total order, but not for individual items.

With B2G3 items, the first two ring up full retail, and then you get up to 3 free (it’s taken off at the end). So your first 2 pepsi 12-pks will ring $5.99 each or whatever, then any up to 3 after that will come off. As for coupons for all 5 B2G3 items… I’m not sure, I’ve never had anyone try it on those kinds. It works on BOGO items b/c each item rings up half price, so you can take money off each of those items. It might be bending space/time to take money off a free item.

Sometimes it gives sass when you try to use more than 3 of the same kind of coupon (on more than 3 of that item), but an override isn’t hard to come by most of the time. Your cashiers are supposed to be nice! (I’m sorry to hear about the grouchy ones, shame on them.)

There are a few ladies who come in my store and a couple times I’ve just about owed THEM money! So as for overages- Again, I think it depends on the particular coupons you’re using. There have also been instances where the computer DOES keep track and only take off $1.35 for a $1.35 item, for example, instead of $1.50 for a 75 cent double coupon. So… blah.

Thanks, and Keep up the good work, everyone!

    • Elizabeth

I noticed that over the past two weeks, the cashiers at my HT (Winston-Salem Robinhood @ Meadowlark) have started to pull all of my coupons that say “do not double or triple” and started to put them in a separate pile. They then told me that they wouldn’t double. I said fine. Guess what – every single time, they’ve doubled. Yesterday, the cashier (who, BTW, usually works at the customer service desk) said she’d never seen it do that. I explained the “5” vs. “9” rule in the UPC. She said she’d never heard of that, either.

So, I hope they aren’t cracking down on the actual wording and that the “5” vs. “9” rule won’t go away!!

    • Elizabeth

Michelle #85 – I notice that only when the item would give an overage if they truly doubled/tripled it. Perhaps that’s the case with yours? HT doesn’t do overages.

    • Crystal

Where do you get the $120 savings rebate booklet?

    • Cathy

Honestly, I cut all of my coupons and separate them into envelopes before I organize them in my coupon caddy. It may be a couple hour job at first but if you do it often it will only take 15 minutes or so and you will find it so much easier to be organized. ALSO, i do a lot of clearance area shopping at CVS, Walgreens and the grocery stores and knowing where the coupon is helps to make great savings even greater!

    • Jenny

Went to HT today with my list of free items and my coupons just to see what was left. They were out of most things but I walked out with five 4-packs of yogurt for a total of $0.59!! I actually had to get my son to go get change out of the car – didn’t bring in any cash just my checkcard. Didn’t expect to come out so cheap!!

Thanks Jenny! What a lot of time and effort you put into this and what a blessing it is to all of us!!

    • jlev

I’ve had a fun week of doubles shopping – thanks, Jenny!!
