Here is the list of what I have so far that is free or a great price at Harris Teeter starting Wednesday.  I’m also working on the weekly ad, and should have that up soon.  I told you I’d have it done by lunch, does it count if I haven’t eaten lunch yet?

For losing a majority of our coupons last week this is still a long list!  Let me know if you see anything else though.

Don’t worry about deals with any coupon less than $1 this week. They will double those on a regular basis so focus on the coupons that they wouldn’t double normally.shoppinglist1

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items, each item will ring up half price.
2. Coupons are doubled that are $1.98 or less.
3. They will double 20 coupons per day/transaction.
4. You must have a VIC card to get sale prices and for your coupons to double.
5. Most stores only allow one coupon per B1G1 deal, so only buy one per transaction if possible.

Special k bars will be .25 each with promo and coupons. I fail to see the $1 profit

      • Heather

You Double the $1/2 Q and you can use 2 Q’s (total of $4.00 off)

      • D

        Special K Cereal Bars 3.8-4.86 oz., $1.99
$5 off instantly wyb (4) Special K products
        -$1/2 Kellogg’s Special K Bars RP 1/3
(buy 4, use 2 coupons makes $1 profit!)

The $1/2 coupon will double which means it is a $4 dollar coupon.
With the $5 off instantly, that gives a $9 dollar coupon amount… The product is only ~$8 so $1 profit.

        • Karen

My HT on Franklin RD in Nashville would not let me do both the $5 off deal AND the coupons at all. Bummer.

      • Marlene

        $1.99×4=7.96 – 2coupons at $1 each both doubled = -$4.00 = $3.96
then you get $5 off instantly = bonus $1.04
        hope that helps.

        • Tiffany

The Special K Bars at my HT are $2.89, so unless they go on sale on Wednesday the deal doesn’t work for me in VA.

    • Heather

I would say if you haven’t eaten yet, then you are good to go!! You make a very valid point:) Thank you soooo much for all your hard work, I can’t wait to get started!

    • emily

I was wondering, can we use the target coupons (those with the target logo in the corner) at Harris Teeter or other grocery stores or are they only good to be used at Target?

      • Marlene

I used one for Tidy Cats last week and it worked – as long as it is a manufacturer coupon it should be okay.

      • stephlj

I have successfully used Food Lion coupons at my HT…they told me that they do take other store coupons.

(just my 2 cents….but, I would not understand any store NOT accepting a coupon from another store!!!!! they just stole a competitor’s business!!)

        • Katie

I tried to use one with a Target logo on it at Harris Teeter, and it wouldn’t scan in the computer and the manager who came over told me that they could not honor them. It’s great to hear that they will let some folks! I wish mine would! But give it a try, you might be one of the lucky ones (or be near a lucky location).

    • Stacey

      Thanks Jenny!
Everyone- check out our hero’s story in The State today!

      • Jennifer

What great article! Thanks for sharing on here!

      • I saw that story :). Then after I started reading it, I realized it was the lady who does this blog- so awesome!

      • Melissa

I just started using this website 3 months ago when my husband and I were expecting our first child, and we decided I would not return to work. I am still getting use to being organized when it comes to coupon-ing (especially having a newborn), but the little I have started saving has helped tremendously! This new year I am going to track it and see how much we are saving! I have already signed up for your workshop in Spartanburg, SC! I can’t wait to find out how to better save! Thank you so much for all your hard time helping us save more of our hard earned money!

Oh the Earth’s Best diaper deal…I got 9 packs for $16.50, plus 3 free Pampers travel wipes! :-)

      • RebeccaF

Love the article Jenny! I remember you mentioned this trip and how you spent more then you would have normally because they were following you around and interviewing you, lol. It’s cool to see it in print but I wish they would have given the true scope of how much you do for us … although, may be that’s just not possible. I love being able to see the photo of you in action too. :D Thanks for the link Stacey! :D

      • Susan

Thanks for posting this link, and thanks, Jenny for all that you do. Without your website, I know I wouldn’t be couponing like I do. You help so many people! Thank you so much.

    • Renee

I cannot seem to find any Harris Teeter locations around me at all (Snellville, GA area). The only thing I can find is that it seems Kroger has purchased/is purchasing several Harris Teeter stores in the Atlanta area and will be converting them to Krogers.

      • Jenny

Sorry the closest HT to you in probably in Tennessee. I don’t live near one either it’s a bummer to see all the deals sometimes :(

        • Don’t be too bummed. The HT rules are ridiculous. Only 20 coupons PER DAY and no more than three like, and the HT’s near me are all so over-couponed that unless you’re there the minute they open, you won’t get anything you want.

          • Colleen

I totally agree with Brandy. They seem to have a new rule every time I go and I never end up saving what I had planned. One one coupon for BOGO deals, won’t take an IP if it doesn’t scan are a few of the most annoying ones for me!
I will say today they did take my mission tortilla coupons even though they didn’t scan- but it was a production let me tell you and you never know if they’ll do it. My printables often don’t scan ( I don’t know why) so it’s always a stress to go there not knowing one way or the other. The tortillas were a good deal though since they doubled the .55 coupon and no where else does.
But I don’t bother usually for Supers, just hope that Kroger does it too!

            • Lana

A family member works at a local grocery store and they have their scanners at the self check set so that no coupons will scan and you must give them to the attendant to scan so it is possible to set scanners to not scan coupons.

            • ooh-ooh- I know!! I am skipping HT, as usual, but planning on making the trek to Kroger and hoping with all my fingers and toes crossed, that they’re matching it again! :)

            • I called our local Kroger that usually super doubles here in Nashville, TN and they said they aren’t doing it this week. I hope they don’t stop b/c most of the time you can get great deals when Kroger competes with Harris Teeter being that alot of products are less originally at Kroger. Thanks again Jenny for all that you do! I Love couponing!!!

    • mel

I believe the Purina Yesterday’s News listed at $7.45 would be $4.45 after the $1.50 coupon instead of $3.45. Or am I missing something?

      • Jenny

You’re right. I was trying to get it done too fast.

    • jr

Just wanted to mention I believe you have the price on the Lysol Wipes wrong. They will be $2 and the $1 coupon doubled will make them free, you have the price listed after coupon as $1.

      • Amanda

Jr, you’re right. They end up being free. I bought them last night.

        • Karen

The coupon I found for the Lysol wipes was for $1 off of 2, so at 1.99 each and then the coupon doubled, it still cost me $2. I went and bought 4 last night and hadn’t looked closely at the coupon and was quite surprised. What coupon did you use to get them free?

    • Rob

The Sun Crystals coupon says do not double.

      • Hope

The littel number “5” in front of the first bar code usually means a coupon will double anyway, even if it says “DO NOT DOUBLE”. I think it is the same with the nuber “5” also, but I always see the “5”.

    • Shannon

I’m confused. In this example: Degree Women’s Fine Fragrance, 2.60 oz $3.29
-$1.50 off Degree Women’s Fine Fragrance printable (makes it 29¢)

1.50 coupon won’t double to $3.00 right? It will only double to $2.00. So the deoderant would be 1.29. Is that right? Or am I misunderstanding the whole super double premise?

      • Jenny

The $1.50 will double to be $3 off :)

    • Cynthia

I am having problems printing coupons on the smart source website. It is only printing a portion of the coupon and is leaving off the expiration date. Does anyone know how to correct the problem?

      • Anne

I am having the same problem with some I’m printing from the manufactorer, I believe the use smart source, it prints really big and only the middle? did you find anything out?

    • Tracie

Thank you Jenny! You are amazing!

    • Amy

Just curious – many other sites are quoting the Lysol 35 ct wipes as being FREE…..am I missing something? Just trying to keep my geeked out shopping spreadsheet in check.

      • Jenny

The online Harris Teeter shopping system shows them as being $3 to $3.19 a container depending on the store I use. That’s what I’m using to make this.

    • Lena

Hi…I have a couple questions. After my last HT experience I really want to make sure of what I’m doing this time. lol

1st- can you use 6 of the same coupons if you are using them for 2 different items?

2nd–How do you get the Home Made Simple home mailer?

And, thanks for all the work you do on this site…It makes a huge difference in my budget each week

      • Amelia

You can only use 3 coupons with the same barcodes or they will stop doubling.

        Here is their official policy.

      • Sue

Go to rightathome.com. Click on “view all offers and coupons” on the right hand side. It will take you to a page with coupons. Select one or more coupons to print and click submit. Before you are allowed to print your coupon you have to enter your name, address, etc. This is the only way I can figure out that I get one of these booklets about once a month. Right now I have 5 of the Home Made Simple “Refresh Your Nest”. Booklets.

    • JBC

My HT also takes World Market Q’s!! There is a $10/$30 in the paper and online!!

      • Amy – Brentwood, TN

What HT is that??? Crossing my fingers that it’s the one in Brentwood, TN!!!!

        • Amy – Brentwood, TN

So, I couldn’t wait for the answer, I called HT in Brentwood and asked their coupon policy

          20 double/day
3 of like item – doubled
          No Free internet printed coupons
Only $/$$ from Kroger or Publix or FRESH Market
No World Market Coupons – BOO!

I will bring my WM with me anyway, doesn’t hurt to ask…I won’t “plan” on it, but it will be a extra bonus if they take it. If there is a HT in the Nashville area that takes the World Market Coupons…please let us know! :)

          • Amy – Brentwood, TN

            Also, internet coupon must scan.
No Overage…item is free if coupon is more than ite cost

I must say that I still love my Publix…they take everything (WM too!)

            • I’m with you, I still love my Publix! :) (but hoping for Kroger to match HT SD again!) :D

          • Sheila

Do you know if the HT in the Nashville area are participating in the super double coupons? Last time they didnt? I usually shop at the one in Belle Meade.

        • Jennifer

FYI – the Kroger in Brentwood normally participates in doubles/triples and they accept ALL coupons.

      • Amy

Where can I find the $10/30 World Market Coupon online? Thanks!

        • Jenny
          • Chrystal

I really appreciate your sharing this with us. I printed the $10/$30 WM Q and my (SC) Harris Teeter accepted it. However, the manager came back over and said that they could not accept it in the future “since a furniture store isn’t really their competition”. I am just sooooo excited. I just started doing the “coupon” thing and today I went to HT, got $65.17 worth of groceries and paid aghhhhhh $1.87…… I still can’t believe it. My husband is thrilled!! I also wanted to mention that there were alot of sold out items, so I was glad that I had alternate products pre-selected to fill-in where I needed them.

    • Michelle – NC

Thank you for the list, it makes those of us who are not very good at this yet make the most of our tight budgets.

    • deedee

are the HT stores in FL doing this Super Doubles deal???

    • Abby

OK…so I know that HT only takes competitor coupons for money off the entire purchase, not indivdual items. Does anyone know if they take the CVS $5 off $30 purchase?

      • Lori

I have used a $5/$20 purchase CVS coupon at HT five or six times with no problem. The cashiers don’t usually know the code for competitor coupon so they do almost always have to call a supervisor to ask. I’m in northern VA, and I don’t think a lot of people here coupon, so it might be more common in other areas.

        • Beverly

Cool, I got a $5/20 from Rite Aid I will try to use then. Awesome!

        • ET

Do you mind if I ask which HT you use? We are in Alexandria for a few days and I am so looking forward to my first Super Double trip to HT.

          • Lori

I have used the Rite-Aid ones with no problem also. I use the HT in Reston. They are very easy to work with on coupons and will push anything through manually if it does not scan automatically. I’m going to try the World Market $10/$30 this week and see if it works, but I’m planning to take the CVS $5/$20 as a back-up.

            • Stephanie

Where can I find one of these coupons?

            • Lori

The World Market coupon was in the newspaper and Jenny also posted a link to a printable one. There is also a $5/$20 CVS link in the drugstore post that Jenny did a little earlier this morning. I don’t know of any current ones for Rite-Aid.

        • emily

Does anyone know if the Charlotte area HT’s will take the $5/$20 CVS coupon’s?

          • Jennifer

I’m in Fort Mill, and the answer varies. It completely depends and the cashier and/or the supervisor. I’ve used them several times, but been told I couldn’t 3 or 4 times as well.

            • Malinda

Hello Jennifer! I am in Fort Mill too. I just left from HT. I missed some deals like the Ketchup and rice, but will go back on Friday early for those items. I hope you were able to get the things you were looking for. I spent $15.90 today and saved $53.73 (78%). Not bad…..

          • Emily

I went to the HT at South Park last night, and they would not take the CVS coupon, but I still did great. $276.21 worth of groceries for $29.45.

            • Chrystal

How did you save so much with the 20 coupon limit? I managed 65.17 for $1.87, but then hit the limit with coupons. Also, the H.T. in Rock Hill told me that they will accept competitors coupons for a certain amount off the total purchase (i.e. $5 off $20) but not competitors coupons for specific items. They did take the $10 off of $30 for me, but then came back and told me that it wasn’t a competitor’s coupon and they could not accept World Market in the future.

            • Emily

              I made 3 trips with 3 different cards. My husband’s, mine, & my daughter’s.

      • Krista

I’m sure it’s somewhere on this site but here is HTs coupon policy:

It states that they accept competitor’s $$ off your order coupons from direct mail or circulars NOT the internet. IF your HT considers CVS a competitor and IF it’s a coupon that wasn’t printed off the internet they should take it. I’ve had luck using coupons that print out of Food Lion’s cash register BUT I’ve also been told that the Walgreens that is in the same parking lot as my HT is NOT a competitor- weird because both HT and Wags (or CVS) sell a lot of the same things… Good Luck!

    • Amy

I am a frequent user of this site and have never had any issues with matching up my coupons until today! I haven’t been able to locate any of these coupons in my RP and only a few in my SS. Is anyone else having these issues? Maybe I’ve slacked in my coupon organization lately?

      • Amy

Ok, scratch that :) I DO have all of the coupons, but it seems that all of my mailers for the past month are four days off. I guess my mailman is just on a roll!

    • Kay

Thanks so much for your shopping list! I just printed and now I’m ready to go. You are so smart!

    • Macy R

I am new to this so I am confused about something. When printing some of the SS coupons it says at the top do not double or triple. Does this mean that if I use them during the superdouble days at HT it will not double the amount, even if it is less than $1.98?

      • Christi

        Hey Macy,

If the coupon has a 5 or 9 starting the barcode on the coupon, the coupon will still double… Lots of coupons say they won’t double, but if it starts with a 5 or 9, it will! :) Hope this helps!

        • Angel in Charleston

Don’t think this is correct. If it starts with a 5 it will double, but if it starts with a 9 it will not. Pretty sure that’s what Jenny has told us.

        • DJane

my H will block them from doubling if they say do no double but the Kroger near me matches HT supper doubles and they will double them

    • Beverly

My HT is 24 hrs so I called to see when the super doubles and sale would be effective — 12:01 AM 1/6, I don’t know if I can make it at 12 am I was planning on 7am but now I am bummed bc everything I want might be gone by then. I might have to make my first 12 am grocery shopping trip :-) I was really looking forward to grocery shopping for coupons for the first time. I have all my coupons organized, 20 a day, a list, and how much my OOP should be. Can’t wait!

      • Christy

Where are you at? Now that makes me want to call my local 24 hour HT’s to check. They’ve always been 7 in the past, but if they are starting at midnight I’d rather go then and just come home and sleep after!

        • Beverly

I go to one in Morrisville NC. I called bc other folks noted that 7am is advertised but really noticed the sale/coupon started much earlier like 1-3 am. I was shocked when I was told 12:01 AM so I plan on going bc I don’t want to miss out on all the deals.

          • Amy

I called my local HT yesterday (James Island, Charleston). They will not start the super doubles until 7:00 a.m.

          • Amelia

Which one? I called the one on Davis Dr. and they assured me that 7am is when the morning manager activates the switch.

          • Krista

I shop the Cary HTs and have asked before when they start…the cashiers there have no clue. They usually say 12:01 but they don’t really know. Official policy is 7 am. I’ve gone to triples and super doubles before that even when I check out at 8am they don’t have the registers programmed yet…I notice my total is way too high and then have to go to customer service for a refund- kinda annoying!! Since 7am is the official time I’d stick with that- I’m sure there will still be plenty if you go then :)

            • Amelia

=/ It was really a better time so I was hoping for midnight (I usually shop at 2am =)) Good luck on your super doubling.

    • deedee

Do we know if HT stores in Florida are participating in this deal???? I don’t have any near me, but I’m telling other friends and family about it, but have no idea if FL is participating or not….

      • Lisa

Yes! But they are very strict this time. They won’t allow a second coupon if the second item is free.

    • Jenn

I have a quick question. I am new and I just want to be sure of something. If I have a coupon for $1 off and it doubles to $2 at HT, and I buy five of those items on sale, do I get the $2 off for ALL of the five items?

      • CarolinaGirl

I cant tell by your post, but do you have a coupon for each item? Each indivual item would need its own coupon and per the HT coupon policy they will double/triple up to 3 same items/coupons. All past 3 will be a face value. Hope this answers your question!

        • MD

Would they all double if you used them in different transactions/days or does your VIC card keep record for future scans?

          • CarolinaGirl

Yes, the VIC card keeps track of it. You are allowed 20 per DAY per CARD

    • Lyndsey

Is anybody else having trouble finding the Bagel Bites coupon? Thanks so much!

    • Allison

I couldn’t find the Bagel Bites printable on coupons.com, but I was able to go here: http://offers.bagelbites.com/Coupon/ and register to print one.

    • Stephanie

I am new at this but am a little confused. On the reach toothbrush for $2.99, it says to buy 2 and to use both the BOGO coupon and the -$1 coupon. Can you use both coupons?
Also, thanks so much Jenny, I am still learning but you have saved me a lot of $ :)

    • Lyndsey

Is anybody having trouble finding some of the coupons that were part of Smart Source this past Sunday (Jan.30)? I can’t find like the Lysol Wipes and the ketchup?

      • Lyndsey

I apologize. I mean Jan. 3. (this past Sunday)

        • Lyndsey & Heather,

Coupons vary from region to region so it’s likely your region did not receive these q’s. I think there’s a trading forum on this site so you can try to find them from a fellow visitor to this site or use a coupon clipping service to find them. HTH!

    • Heather

I can’t find the ketchup coupon either. Is there any printable?

    • Amy

I have searched my paper (Charleston – Post & Courier) for the following Q’s in Sunday’s (1/3) paper:
      Sun Crystals, listed as RP
      Oikos, listed at SS
      Lysol Wipes,listed as SS
      Heinz, listed as SS
Has anyone else in Charleston found these? Thanks!

      • Lyndsey

Hi Amy-I live in Summerville. I have been trying to get my coupons together all day. I havn’t been able to find Lysol Wipes and Heinz either. A lady named Petrina responded back to me and said that the coupons vary from region to region. I thought that I got gipped on my paper when I went to go buy it on Sunday. :) Not that I’m happy about it, but at least I wasn’t going crazy! :)

        • Amy

Lyndsey, Thanks for your response. The coupons certainly vary and I know we don’t get as many coupons as The State newspaper in Columbia gets. Oh, well! I will have fun with the ones I have…..I was hoping I mind find the Heinz and Oikos Q’s….we go through both of those products so fast. Thanks!

    • Can anyone tell me where to find the Special K bar coupon?

    • Tony

Looks like you can hit the MuirGlen coupon from a link on their facebook page.

    • MD

Hi everyone! I am still new to couponing and learning about the Harris Teeter/Supermarket rules. I am making my shopping list on a spreadsheet I have created and noticed that most of the super double items are turning out to be little money makers. How does this work with Harris Teeter? Does the extra money come off other items or is the coupon adjusted to make the item free? I need to know if I need filler items like when I go to the drugstore!!! Thanks for everyone’s help!

      • Heather

My HT automatically adjusts the coupon to make it a free item, so you never have to worry about having a filler!

        • MD

Thanks! This helps a lot in my planning!

    • Cheryl

I just got back from the HT in Greensboro, North Elm. They refused to take my two coupons for the Special K cereal bars. I was told I cannot get the $5 back and use the coupons. I will be calling CS to verify if this is correct.

      • Bee

I did it this morning and got $5 back as well as the coupons were used. Two of my internet coupons did not double but I don’t know which ones. This site is awesome to help get me organized….

        • Jamie

I just got back from my HT and didn’t do as well as expected. Is it possible my coupons didn’t double? Is there a way to check this on my receipt?

      • Dianne

The HT on Market street in Greensboro took my coupons with no trouble. Were very nice and helpful today and they weren’t sold out of everything yet!

      • CarolinaGirl

Ive been using the coupon on targets website for $5 off 4 boxes of Kelloggs cereal. I hve now gotten 8 boxes of Special K for free($10 for 4 boxes – $5 coupon – $5 when you buy 4 special K products)! Im out of the $5 coupon now, but I can use 2 $1 coupons that double so Ill only pay $1 for 4 more boxes.

    • Spent 2 hours getting my coupons together last nite. But I think it was worth it. I hate only being able to use twenty coupons, but I am borrowing a friends card and going back tonight.

I got all of this for $8.40! Some may be able to do better, but I think I did ok!

      Two starbucks frappuchinos
      1 box cream of wheat
      2 packages of kraft cheese
      irish spring
      ivory soap
      4 boxes of special k
      HT coffee
      3 skinny waters
      Johnsons baby powder
      2 – reach dental floss
      2 weight watchers bakery items
      1 butoni ravioli
      2 coffee mate creamers
      bayer caplets

    • Nikki

I went to my Harris Teeter in Durham today and had a great experience. They took all of my internet coupons and I had no problems. In fact my total before coupons was 82.63 and after 1.37. Thanks so much for you hard work, I really appreciate it. Oh, I did ask about doubling the HT coupons and those are the only coupons they will not double.

    • Amy – Brentwood TN

I went to the HT in Brentwood this morning and the Special K Bars were $3.15 (down from $3.19!). I didn’t have an ad to look at, so I have to check tonight and then maybe go back to get them. She also fussed about the ore-ida fry coupon, and I needed to buy what the “picture” (bag) was and not the easy fries (during super doubles) however, i pointed out the coupon says “any ore-ida fries” and she still said it needed to be the bag…she did take it this time, but she gave me attitude about it….all I could think of was…can’t wait to get back to my Publix!

    • Mrs. B

      *** Franklin/Brentwood TN Kroger Shoppers ***

As of 11 am central time Wednesday all 7 Kroger stores I called in Franklin & Brentwood are NOT matching the H-T super doubles!!! Bummer! Just wondering if more of us call to check and ask NICELY (please be nice if you call!) if they might be encouraged to reconsider? I drive a good distance to reach these areas so to make it “worth my drive” it’s helpful to have BOTH H-T AND Kroger doubling (just not worth the drive for 20 items…)

      • misty

I called all the stores and they told me the same thing! I live up toward Ridgetop and it is too far to drive for just HT. It made me sick because I worked several hours getting my stuff together!

    • Nikki

Went to HT on my lunch break here in Concord, NC. Had so much fun! I got all the freebies, quacamole, lip smakers, yogurt, french fries, coffee creamer, lysol wipes, special K bars and much more! I even got two cans of biscuits (no coupons) and my total was only $1.05! Yay!

      • How was the stock in the concord store?

        • Nikki

Went to the store on the 29 near the mall. A good stock on everything. There were no special K bars in the normal section left. But, plenty on end caps at other various places. The only item that I wanted that they were out of was the baby powder, but I bought the J&J bar soap instead which only cost me .20 cent.

    • Jenn

Anyone been to the HT in Fort Mill yet today? I am wondering if all the good things are gone? I won’t be able to go until this afternoon but wondering if it might be better to wait until tomorrow morning after they have restocked? I don’t typically see too many people couponing at that store.

      • Malinda

Hello. I just got back from the Ft Mill store. They were out of ketchup, rice, Lysol wipes, Ore-Ida Fries Chinet, Kings Hawaiian, andBlistex. I still was able to get some things on my list. I will go back Friday morning. They are expecting a new shipment tomorrow night.

    • Let me know about Fort Mill I plant to go tomorrow as well. I did in steelcreek and is always emppy…. they were out at 8 on some stuff

    • Jen M

I usually always shop at Publix and after going to Harris Teeter today, I was reminded why. The shelves were empty, noone was willing to help, the cashier didn’t scan 3 of my coupons and kept them (i didn’t realize until I left the store, so I overpaid $6) and so on. The Super Doubles deal is great, but not if there is nothing to buy and they keep your coupons. I think I will remain a loyal Publix customer.

    • Jen

This list was a great help in organizing my doubles today. I saved a ton, thank you!

    • Jamie

Do most HT restock daily during super doubeles?

    • Kelley

Sorry if this is a repeat but I found a printable for the skinny water (which are delicious btw!) you can go to their website http://www.skinnywater.com. THere is no limit to the number of qs you can print. Also, I used a lot of the home made simple mailer Q for free dish detergents today.

    • kelley

skinnywater.com has a printable. be careful it will allow you to print uunlimited Qs but it will say you have exceeded the household max on the Q and not print multiple.

    • Tommy

Has anyone used the Palermo’s printable from their website? Concerned as it says save 1.00 on one pizza but the barcode looks like it is coded for 1.00 off of two.

      • Michelle

I have used the Palermo coupon successfully 4 times with two different cashiers. It does beep though, but the cashiers call over the manager and they make it go through.

    • Kelly

Hello- Went to the Harris Teeter Sun City SC- 65.30 before coupons and Vic card 15.70 after. This was my best week EVER!!! They took 2coupons for the weight watcher products, but would not take 2 coupon for Palermos- Go figure!!!!!I have two more days to go with 34 coupons left to use. My coupon stock is wiped clean!!!!!

      • Jose

I had the same problem at that same Harris Teeter with the Palmero pizzas. They gave me grief about using 2 coupons on a buy one get one free. I said find, take the pizza out and I will just come back and buy them one at a time. They tried to fix it but ended up making my total go negative (-5.xx). We finally got it positive but it was making my OOP lower than it should have been for all the items I had. Idiots…

Seriously, they ring up half price so quit complaining and just scan the stupid coupon and stop annoying your customers. I’ll just go buy the Palmero at the other store down the road where they don’t get all “policy” on b1g1 items. Idiots….

        • tommy

I know HT is a pain sometimes with coupon policy, but this one is the coupon’s fault, not theirs. The coupon is coded wrong – that is why it will only take one for the two pizzas. The barcode is for 1.00/2, but the coupon reads 1.00/1…

      • Tommy

I think they wouldn’t take two of the Palermo’s Qs because the bar code on the coupon is different than what the text says. It says 1.00 off of one, but the bar code is for 1.00/2.

    • Amber

I went to Harris Teeter today, and got a good number of things. I wanted to note, though, that the Starbucks coffee in Charleston,SC is no longer on sale. It was $9.58 for one bag. Even with the double coupon, I can get it cheaper at Wal-mart. I also looked at Millstone coffee. Same thing – it is cheaper at Wal-mart, even after the double coupon.

    • ET

The Nancy’s Frozen Appetizer coupon is for 32 count or higher. The crab cakes that are $4.25 are only 12 count so the coupon may not work. I didn’t try it. The 32 count appetizers were around $12.00.

      • April

I used the nancy’s q today on the individual quiche and they went through and doubled with no problem!

        • Diana Quin

Please do not post about using coupons incorrectly. If the coupon says 32 ct, that’s what you should use it on.

    • Mary

I went to the HT on Franklin Pike in Franklin, Tn this morn but I could not find most of the deals listed. The coffeemate was not on sale and neither was the pickles, chinet plates or the Blistex. Just to name a few. I looked in their weekly flyer and they were not listed there either. Did I miss something? I did buy some items and did ok but not as good as I had hoped. The staff was great and doubled all my coupons.

    • Amy – Brentwood, TN

I went to the one in brentwood today and they told me i couldn’t use coupons on the Special K bars, my total was $-.58 because everythihg else I wanted was gone already – anywa the cashier called the supervior and she was really NASTY about it…no coupons on the Special K. HT is the only store i go to that i have to leave grociers at the checkout, because of all their “new” rules. (She wouldn’t even take my coupons at FACE VALUE!!!) $1/each!!!

I walked out empty handed, went down the road to publix and got $30 of groceries for $1.65 after coupons…I LOVE Publix. The cashier says….aren’t you the one who told me about Southern Savers? I told her about a month or so ago and she remembered me and the website. She said she uses it all the time. I have never experienced a store like Publix before. I am glad to give them my business!!!

      • Mary

did you see my post right above yours? I went to the one in Brentwood on Franklin Pike. They took my Special K coupons with no questions and were very nice. That was the first time I had gone there. On the other hand I have gotten 50 questions from a couple of clerks at the Publix ‘s in Spring Hill, which is where I live. My husband & I got to HT early but I did not find all the free stuff on sale. I did use 20 coupons & did ok. I am sorry you had a bad ecperience.

        • Amy – Brentwood TN

Mary – The Publix in Maryland Farms (Brentwood) takes any and every coupon…no questions asked. They even took one yesterday for juicy juice, i had it on my list, but forgot to buy it, and never noticed til i got to the car, she gave me some coupons back because i ende up0 in a negative balance with the world market ($10) coupon i used.

      • Virginia

You need to do a little math before you get to the register. It’s easy enough in most cases to know when your total is going to go negative, and therefore easy to pick up something so that your final total is not negative. Of course they are going to notice when you have a negative total, and they don’t understand how you can ‘legally’ do that and it makes them a little crazy to see something like that which they probably almost never see. Take a calculator with you or use the calculator function on your cell phone if you have one, if you’re not confident doing the math in your head, and make sure that you will not have a negative total.

    • Katrina

While it might be nice to vent frustrations about HT, FL, or whatever store you hate and then sing the praises of Publix and Kroger, a lot of us don’t have Publix and Kroger. We have to suffer through the mediocre deals and customer service. Please post your Publix love on the Publix list so we HT and FL shoppers don’t have to feel bad that we can’t go there.

      • Joy

        Seriously? Sensitive much?

      • Becky

Thank you Katrina! I totally agree. I did have a good experience at HT yesterday. I love when the cashier and bagger are impressed with how much I save!

    • Lisa

This site has a Mnf. coupon for $1 on any Ile de France cheese product. Cheese is in HT ad for $5.99 http://attentiontargetshoppers.com/2010/01/06/ile-de-france-cheese-coupons/

    • Jamie

I figured out why I didn’t do good yesterday. I went through the line twice with the same vic card. I had no idea it didn’t double on the second time until I went home and looked at my receipt.

So warning to all newbies like me, you can only use the same vic card once per day NOT per transaction!

      • Virginia

‘Back in the day’, we were able to go and use our VIC card up to about 5 times per day, and each time our 20 coupons would double or triple depending on the promotion. Then apparently HT realized what their system was allowing, b/c suddenly the ‘system’ started keeping track of our 20 coupons per day. You can still use your card multiple times in a day, however the system actually counts to 20 coupons and does not double any past #20. You could go to 2 stores and double 10 coupons at each store for a total of 20, but if you tried to double coupon #21 the register would not allow it.

    • laura from TN

I also went to the one in Brentwood, TN yesterday and was frustrated. A lot of the items on my list were completely gone from the shelves or just plain not carried at my store, so I wasted a lot of time looking for them on end caps etc. just in case. However, on a good note, I spent $16.71 and saved $36.23 so I’m happy!

    • Heather

Hi all! Just got back from HT and I actually recvd a cat for the Buy 5 Kraft cheese products and get $5.00 oyno. I only bought 4 thinking it wasn’t working cause some many have commented on that. It says 1/1/10-1/24/10, so it seems like it should have worked for everyone so far. Also, as far as them being BOGO, they all ring up seperatly at full price then the deduction is taken out at bottom of receipt, so it seems like it should be working, right?

They woulnd’t take my Palermos Q, the manager told me it was a fake, that it was copied. I told him it wasnt, but didn’t argue and took it back happily. I guess it must be coded as Buy 2 Get $1.00, cause it worked like that yesterday. Still had a great trip!!!!

    • Kristin

I guess the prices must vary a bit between stores? the coffee-mate was $4 something at the HT on JI and the Ore Ida fries were alot more than listed too. Oh well, still got some fabulous deals!

    • Lori

The guacamole is not on sale in the Reston, VA HT. Sad because it’s still $2.00 even after the coupon doubles…

      • Joan

Lori, there are two sizes of the guacamole. The big size with the coupon would still be $2.00, but the smaller size is orginially $1.99 so with the coupon FREE.

      • Angel in NC

Which aisle is the guacamole in?

    • Pamela

Kristin, was the Coffee Mate the powdered? You want to get the 16 oz liquid in the dairy section. Its on sale 2/$4 Hope that helps :-)

Thanks so much for the printable list option! Today is the first I’ve seen it and it is AWESOME!!! :)

Experienced my first and last HT Super Doubles today. My wife had an interview in Fayetteville, NC, which just happens to be where our nearest Ht is located. I spent about 3 hours getting Q’s together last night and even had a backup plan as well. We get there today and I had to park in the last spot in the back of the parking lot. I knew that wasn’t a good sign. We get in and you can barely move around in there. Factor in that I am not accustomed to shopping at this store and know where nothing is located. Every single deal I had targeted with Q’s for free/cheap stuff, the shelves were completely wiped out. People walking around with binders full of Q’s propped up on their shopping cart and seemed to have it loaded w/ no problems finding the deals. We wandered aimlessly in search of anything and did end up get a few deals, but absolutely none of the free stuff….I probably averaged spending about $2-$4 per item by the time it was all said and done. The checkout lines were backed up beyond belief, it took at least 25-30 minutes to check out. And to top it all off, my cashier handed me all of the catalina coupons at the end of the transaction, but no receipt! I realized this when I got to the car(which was, by the way, parked in the very last row in the parking lot, as mentioned earlier). At this point I was just ready to go. So I know I saved some money, but have no idea just how well I really did. A horrible experience for me and one that I will probably never repeat. I am never impressed w/ the quality of Food Lion weekly ads, but they do have a few good deals here and there and I always have NO problems whatsoever finding them at my local Food Lion. It is nice to save a fortune on groceries and we really need the savings right now in a big way, but I would rather east PBandJ sandwiches for 3 meals a day rather than dealing with the HT fiasco again. One and done for me. By the way, I am sure it doesn’t help that this is the only HT in the entire city of Fayetteville, NC.

I have a probably stupid question.. But when you double coupons do you have to have 2 of the same coupons for them to double or do they just do it on one?

      • Virginia

‘Double coupons’ means that they take your coupon and double the face value. If you purchase 1 Lysol wipe for $2.00 and use 1 Lysol wipe coupon with a face value of $1.00, HT’s register automatically takes off an additional $1.00, making them free (you pay tax). 1 coupon per item. :)

    • R

Ok, so I’m new to this and I saw that someone mentioned that HT will not honor Free Internet Coupons. So all of these coupons that I been printing off of Smart Source, Coupon.com, etc. will not be doubled at HT? Thanks for any advice on this! I’d had to get to the register with all of this stuff and not end up getting any deals!

      • Jenny

What they mean is that they will not take coupons that printed off the internet and are for free products. So the coupon value is free. Most stores will not take these. Harris Teeter will double the printed coupon though.

I have a question about this.. i tried this today and was told that i couldnt use both.. did anyone else have this problom? is this right should i have asked to talk to someone? thanks for the help and thanks jenny your amazing!

      • Cathy

Yeah most stores aren’t letting you use both coupons. The deal at Walgreens is much better this week. Their larger packs of Stayfree are 6.29 at my local store. Use the BOGO coupon AND in this week’s Walgreens ad there is a store coupon for Stayfree. The store coupon takes off $3 PER PACK. **I have much better success when I give them the manufacturers coupon first, then hand them the store coupon. I had quite a few BOGO coupons and used them to get 2 large packs of Stayfree for a total of 28 cents plus tax each time (or 14 cents each.) (You have to get the larger packs because the store coupon says 28 count and higher.) Hope that helps :)

I went to HT last night. I found alot of discrepancies between the prices quoted here with what the prices were at the store. Anyone else find this problem?

      • Virginia

Prices may vary a bit between stores in different areas, and even between stores in different areas of the same city. Also, there are 1 or 2 stores that do not always have the same sale items that ‘regular’ areas have – I think Outer Banks is one area where they don’t always get the deals b/c it is considered a tourist area…

    • Savannah

The closest HT is 45 mins from me. I really want to go to stock up but am afraid of taking the long trip if things are all gone…Any advice?

      • jodi

I live 45 minutes away from the nearest H.T. i just started couponing this past year, so when i found out about H.T., i thought that i would give it a try. i am glad that i did. my advice is to go the first day early in the morning. i have my Q’s ready the night before. i dont bring binders. other people do though. i bring my mom with me and we always have been able to use the max 20 Q’s per person. so i spend maybe $5 on gas and save around $40-$50. (i usually just go for the freebies and cheap stuff) i went again last night after a 12 hour shift and was able to use 20 Q’s. i spent $1.25. (the store had restocked their supply)
i give the credit to Jenny (southern savers)

P&G Profit in South Charlotte…I found these deals during Super Doubles Week. All of the coupons came out of PG 12/27 except Swiffer which came from the Home Made Simple Mailer.

Gillette Body Wash $2.99 ($1 off makes it .99)
Swiffer Duster $5 ($1 off makes it $3)
      Crest w/Scope $2.50 ($1 off makes it .50)
      Dayquil $3.99 ($1.50 off makes it .99)
Herbal Essence Shampoo $2.50 ($1 off makes it .50)
      Charmin $3.79 (.25 off makes it $3.29)
Gillette Hydragel Shaving Cream $2.49 ($1.50 off makes it free)
Satin Care Gel $1.99 ($1 off makes it free)

Total before coupons $25.24 which qualifies for the $10 Visa Card for $25 spent on P&G Go for the Gold promo.
Total spent with coupons is $9.27 which makes for a .73 profit!!!

      • jodi

where can i find the P&G go for the gold promo form? thanks

        • Alison

I did this twice. The first time the form printed out at the cash register. That didn’t happen the second time but on the household care isle (near certain Proctor and Gamble products) there was a tear-off pad that had the form. The rules specify that it needs to come from the same store you purchase the products. Hope that helps!
