It’s time for TRIPLES starting tomorrow 4/29!!. I have put a few things from the add on the top, but nothing looks like a deal next to all the free things with triples coupons. If a sale item had a coupon that would triple it is below the regular deals in the great deals section. The sneak peak of the ad is thanks to Hot Coupon World.

If you see anything I missed let me know and I’ll add it.

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items, each item will ring up half price.
2. Coupons are tripled that are .99¢ or less.
3. They will triple 20 coupons per day/transaction.
4. You must have a VIC card to get sale prices and for your coupons to double.
5. Most stores only allow one coupon per B1G1 deal, so only buy one per transaction if possible.

**Tip: Hand over coupons in order of value starting with .99¢ or less then give $1 and higher coupons**

    • Lori

don’t forget the $5 mail in from Ortega w/ Bedtime Stories especially since the Ortega items are free :)

    • MiniMidgMom

Couldn’t get the Deer park site to save my info so I get their coupons. Anybody else with this problem?

    • Dixie

.50 off Frenchs mustard is also in SS 3/29–our Harris Teeter doesn’t triple printables, but I think some do

    • Jenni

I had the same problem with the Deer Park site. I tried it several times and even tried changing some of my info. around a couple of times and still I got nothing!

    • MelRae

Thank you, Jenny! Heh, when I do HT triples, it’s like, if the final price is not (way) under $1, forget it! lol!

    • Same Deer Park problem…also don’t forget to print out $5 off $25 order from Rite Aid to assist with your total NEGATIVE!!!

    • Betsy

I went to Walgreens and their Cutter insect repellent was $3.89 on sale. I got them to price check it. Is there another coupon I need or will it go on sale soon?

    • Ali

I’m still new to this and love this site. But can anyone tell me what tear pad coupons are and where I find them? Thanks!

    • Excuse the coupon newbie question, but what happens to coupons of $1.00 or more? Are they only discounted once? Or are they doubled/tripled as though they were $0.99?

For example: if I have a Colgate coupon for $1 off, will they only take off $1 or $1 + $0.99?

Thanks in advance for your tips! This is a great site; I just discovered it and have already saved a bucket load of cash!!

      • Jenny

$1 off coupons are just $1 off. They don’t do anything more than that.

    • MiniMidgMom

I emailed customer service at Deer Park. If they have not released the coupons or if their max is reached then a more to the point error message would help!

    • Sandra E

the Wendy’s coupon wouldn’t work for me…anyone else?

    • so will Harris Teeter use the Rite Aid $5.00 off of $25?!?!? if so, does it count as 1 of your coupons ( with coupon limit of 20 per day?!?)

      • Jenny

To my knowledge Harris Teeter does not accept any competitor coupons.

    • Harris Teeter does accept Walgreens Register Rewards, at least as of a few weeks ago! I’ve used them several times and I’m planning to use some this week too.

As far as any other competitors, I’m not *positive* but I do beleive their policy states that they will accept competitors coupons for $$ off your next purchase or off total order but not competitors coupons for specific products. (ie -no Publix or Food Lion store coupons for $ or cents off a particular product)

Hope that’s clear…I always ask at customer service if I’m not sure!

    • I am currently crying because I do not have a Harris Teeter anywhere near me! :(

    • paige

my HT is an hour away would it be worth it to go? Just asking becouse Id hate to drive all the way up thier and they be out off all the stuff I want. SO WOULD YOU DRIVE AN HOUR AWAY?

      • Jenny

I live about an hour from one and I will not be going. Most items you can find time to time close to the same prices at other store, you just have to wait for it. I guess it depends on store choices you have in your area. If you have a Publix and Kroger then it probably isn’t something you need to drive that far for. If you only had a Food Lion then it might be worth it.

    • I also live about an hour from Harris Teeter. I doubt I’ll be going, but lucky me, they’re building a brand new one 2 miles from my house! So in the future I’ll definitely be taking advantage of triples.

    • Renie

This is off topic from Publix but for those of you who also shop at ALDI, they have lowered their gallon of milk price to $1.49. ALDI is across the street from our Publix so I get milk at ALDI and all other shopping at Publix.

    • Melanie

My Huggies .75/1 coupon for wipes says “not subject to doubling”…so I’m guessing it’s not subject to tripling either. Is this true? If so, the final price won’t be $1.04 but $2.54, right? Let me know if I’m missing something.

      • Jenny

If the coupon bar code starts with a 5 it will automatically double no matter what the words say unless you have a cashier that overides that. Most do not though.

    • MC

I am having troble finding tearpads in the store. The Harris Teeter I go to does not seem to have them and the employees I asked didn’t know anything about them. I would really like the one for the Crystal Light. I am new to your website and have found it to be very helpful. Thank you so much for all the work you do!

    • Christina

i used a target coupon there this morning and didn’t have an issue! (for all detergent – $1 off, and it’s on sale for $3.99). thanks for posting.

    • Erin

Thanks so much for the Harris Teeter shopping plan! I was able to hit 3 stores this morning in 2 hours. I saved $ 124 so far and was able to be back before my husband had to go to work which was great because i didn’t have to take the kids!

    • MiniMidgMom

Deer Park replied – that coupon promo had ended.

Paige, can you carry the coupons with you in case you have other errands to run near your HT? I found 2 Rite Aids that I didn’t know existed in 1 week – one 1/2 hour away and one 45 minutes away. I was so sorry that I didn’t carry the coupons just in case.

    • Rebecca

I went to Harris Teeter on Weds and I shop for my 80 year old grandma, I have done this for many months with the triple. I had her order with her bank card and my order with my bank card they would not let me us more then 20 Coupons. They said i could only use 20 coupons per day. do you really think am going to go back the next day just to shop for her. No i did not buy anything and walked out. I will be shopping other places for now on.

    • Crystal

rebecca, did you have 2 separate vic cards? That is probably why they wouldn’t let you (if you were using the same vic card for both orders). But that is pretty rough, I mean the woman is 80, are you supposed to drag her out of the house with you? I am sorry for your experience with HT

    • Terri

Rebecca, you can use two different VIC cards (be sure they are both registered with DIFFERENT addresses). You should have no problems then. Sorry to hear you had a problem.

    • Rebecca

Yes I had two different cards. I did not even get to the check out. The front end manager was up front watching all the orders. They said they changed the rules and there was no sign up

    • Lori

HT in Nashville, TN takes the Rite Aid coupon as well as other comp q’s. If you read their coupon policy on their website it states it as well :) Went for my first round there today and spent $11.46 on a $57 worth of goodies!!!!

    • Lori- the HT in Brentwood, on 21st Ave or the one near Belle Meade? Which one for sure takes the 5/25 Rite Aid q???? Thanks so much!

    • Did the Deerpark last night and printed two $1 coupons. Check it again. Thanks

    • kelly

Where can you get the $5/25 Rite Aid Coupon?

      • Jenny

Kelly there is a link at the top of the weekly Rite Aid post.

    • Jim

It is irksome that after (20) coupons you VIC card is locked out. I try to get my partner to go with me and do separate orders but that can be a real hassle. Some people just don’t like to food shop.

Last time I went with triple coupons I save over $130.00 on two trips, so it’s worth the two mile trip.

Also, if something is out of stock ask the store manager is they’ll substitute another product, they did the last time I was there.

I tried to find out when triple coupons will occur but I was told that the stores were only given a day notice which I find hard to believe.

    • kelly

      Great, thanks.

Will they take both Rite Aid coupons since they are different?

    • nancy

There is a sure deodorant coupon .75 cents off on the coupon tool bar you can get from coupons.com.

    • Ali

So I went today. When i read the website, it said it would take rite aid coupons as long as it came from the circular not the internet, but I tried it and they took it anyway… wish I split my order in 2… I ended up paying 4.82… still good yay!

    • misty

So I went to harris teeter this morning and it was worth the 25 minute drive. I bought $67.00 worth of groceries and only paid $7.02. I will be going back on Sunday!

    • alicia

I went last night and was able to use my Wags RR’s! Didnt have any problems using them. There were several things out of stock though like the rice and the dawn dish soap. Does anybody know if HT gets shipments in during the week, and if so, when? After coupons and rr’s, my balance was -2.96 so I had to add some things at the check out to get rid of the negative balance lol! Got over $60 worth of groceries for $.39!

    • jennifer

Will the Brentwood-cool springs HT take the rite-aid coupon? I can go to either 21st ave-west end one or to brentwood. And I am new to this…will the store be wiped out of all the products by Friday?

    • Taleena

For people that could not get the deerpark water q, there were $1 peelies on the ones at my store. I also got a thing from the catalina machine that if you buy 2 get $2, buy 3 get $4, buy 4 get $5(I think that’s right) between May 1-25. Now if they let me use more than one peelie on bogo….

    • Alison

I am so thankful that you posted this matchup! I got 6 bags full and spent $12. I saved $56 in coupons and $14 with my VIC card.

So, Original Total: $82 PAID: $12!!!

      Thank you!!!

    • HT took my $25 off shopping order…got some TUDe, but worked. $100 groceries for $10.00 OOP. Going back tomorrow for the rest. Also clearance had aveeno $2.94 used $10.00 of three (printed online).

    • mary

My HT does double.or triple printable coupns, as long as it does not say do not double, even then some automatically ring up that way.
I work next door to HT, I shop for non perishables, am, before work, then pick up more after job.I got 17. for just 8.27 today, not bad.
I also had the reynold recycled foil, eath day rebate, free.. but onlycould it it by signing up before the day. Used 55 cent x 3.. will get back 2.99.

    • Joe

I’m sure this has been answered somewhere, but I didn’t see it. Some of the deals listed make the items free, but with overage. I have .75 off the hormel compleats coupons and they are 2/$4, so it’d be .25 over, I called my store and asked how they would handle this and they told me they can not give overage, so I asked if they would adjust the price to just make it free and they said they don’t do that, so I basically just can’t use the coupon. Has anyone else had this experience? I went shopping anyway and was going to try to see what would happen but I didn’t want to waste one of my 20 items and look stupid at the register. Thanks.

    • Dixie

First, I was wrong about the Brentwood TN taking printables for triples. They do now, I guess, as long as it doesn’t say do not triple. Also, I found out that this store is getting a shipment tonight (Friday) and Sunday night so some of you might want to go back the next mornings. Maybe some free stuff will be back. Joe, our store will take them. The computer should adjust it, and it will be free. My cashier was kind of strange the other day and adjusted some by hand, but the computer was already doing it.

    • Beth

I just found your site. I am a beginner at this and attempting my first big savings tonight or tomorrow…BUT my Sunday coupons were accidentally thrown away. I went to the website (redplum and smartsource) and can’t find the exact coupons that are listed on your deals at Harris Teeter. Is there any where else to find these coupons, or do I need to search for last Sunday’s paper somewhere?
This site is great!! I cannot wait to share my savings!

      • Jenny

Most of the coupons that were in the paper are not available online so you will have to get the paper. sorry.

    • Beth

Well, if I would pay just a little more attention….I noticed some of the coupon dates are older which is probably why I cannot find the coupon online. Dern it all, I will miss a lot of these specials with the triple coupons. :(

    • Andrea

Well, today was my first time they needed to pay me. I spent $48.34 and they owed me $.74. Of course I bought a pack of gum and paid $.53.

    • Jewell R

Thanks for such a great caption of prices and items that will work. Don’t get mad at HT for only taking 20 coupons on a transaction though. If you have ever been behind someone using coupons and you aren’t, it can get really flustrating, they are only making sure that it doesn’t inconvenient the non-couponer; I use to be one of them. Now, I just try not to make it hard on the customers or the tellers so that we can keep saving $ like crazy.
Thanks for this site, it really helps us!

    • Kate

I am new to all of this. I’m at the Harris Teeter deals and I don’t understand how some of these things are free. What do I need to do to get them for free?

    • Becca

First 20 coupon trip today $75.03 retail paid $6.03! whoo hoo!!! I will be going back on Monday to hopefully snag 20 more coupons worth!!!!

    • Emily

I went to my Harris Teeter today to use some of the FREE ideas you suggested. They said they would not triple the coupon if it made the item free. So, basically they were doubled and I had to pay a little OOP. Is this normal or just particular to my Harris Teeter?

    • Stephanie

Went to the HT in Brentwood today. First time shopping, so got a new VIC card. It didn’t work when I got to the check out, so they did an override at the end. The total was $20 and I saved $25. I was bummed. This didn’t see right. I went to the car, reviewed my paper work and really I should have only spent $6 plus tax. I went back in and the manager worked it out for me and paid be $12. I ended up with an $8 bill. She said that she didn’t even see where they scanned some of my coupons. Be watchful

    • Amy

      To Jenny:
Thank you so very much for listing these wonderful deals! I had the time of my life in HT the other day – I made 2 separate trips – the first one was great, and the second one was even greater!!! The second time around I had about $42.00 worth of items, and my grand total at the end was $1.31, plus I am turning in that receipt to get my Reynolds Wrap rebate! I am so excited!

This website has truly been a blessing to me! I am currently out of a job and it’s all I can do to hang on to every last penny!! Thank you, Jenny!!!!!

      Hello All-
My hubby and I frequent Charleston so got to take coupons and make HT part of our trip. We have been to the one on Long Point Rd in Mt Pleasant with no problems previously, in fact, our first time the first day did really well- spent .87 and got $31 woth of stuff!

The next day we went (to use the next 20 coupons) and the manager told us they have a rule that you can “only triple the first three coupons” (we had lots of Colgate coupons, etc.). My husband got out of line to adjust his order accordingly, then she came back when he was in line the 2nd time and said “you can only use up to 3 coupon deals [per type of]item.” She also proceeded to tell my hubby that “you should NEVER have overage!”

What is correct here? Should we have Luckily, we didn’t give up and the next day went to other HT’s in Chas. with no problems. Is this a rule that the manager just made up because she didn’t understand? What should we have done? Has anyone else had the same issue? Thanks!!!

Go to Kroger some of the Kroger are NOW doing the TRIPLE coupon. Started 5/1 & ends 5/9. The took my internet coupon. Call your store before going. I know for sure that the one on Nippers Corner is doing it and the one in Brentwood on Franklin Rd.

Well, I do not live near a HT, but a friend of mine does. She came to visit yesterday, and I set her up with coupons for several of the Free and almost free items.
She just told me that she went to HT on her return to NC- spent $27 and saved $78!!
      Woo hoo!

Just thought I would share about my shopping this week(mostly at HT but some at Target, Rite Aid and CVS)

      Total Pre Coupons: $300.35
      OOP: $68.29 (pre-tax)
Gift Cards Earned: $35 (Target and Discover Cards)
      CVS Bucks Earned: $3
      Rebates Earned: $30.48

      FINAL COST: +$.19 (PROFIT)

Think I had a AWESOME week. I also could have saved $10 more but I forgot to separate two of my orders so I could use the $5 off $25 coupon.
