    • Wilmajet

I just found coupons at http://www.coupondede.com for the yocrunch and the honey mustard sauce.

    • Shel

Has this been confirmed for all Harris Teeters, or just certain areas?

      • Pretty much all areas.  The only stores that I don't have a definite on are the stores around the Outer Banks they tend to run there own promotions.

        • Shena

I grew up on the OBX, getting ready to move back, definitely not looking forward to trying to figure out their sales if they are different than what you are able to get info for. *sigh*

    • Janadaley

Does Harris Teeter triple even if it brings the price below the actual cost, making a money maker?

      • No it will triple up to the value of the item and then stop there.   No overage.

      • No they adjust cost to make it even $0

    • Lisa

I was wondering the same thing, if the cost of the coupon exceeds the price of the item, does HT let you keep the overage towards the rest of your groceries?

      • Kim

No, once the price of the item has been reached it will not go over.

      • Srgordon

No, or atleast the one in Hickory,NC doesn't. I used the $1.00 off coupon during the past doubling event, or whatever it is called new to this, and it only came off as $1.19 the total price of the item.  The Item was the Bayer Asprin.

    • Raynesmw

OMG… This is really going to challenge my organizational couponing skills. I am so psyched!! Never got to do triples before!

    • Shevaun

      Thanks Jenny!

    • Chris

Can anyone tell me where HT has stores in GA?  I've tried to use their store locator but it leaves a LOT to be desired.  I'd be willing to drive a ways to get triple Qs – that's a lot of free stuff with the right Qs.

      • Chris

OK after a Google search I see one in  St Simons GA.  Is that it?  A little sad now.  :-(

        • Yep that's the only one :(

          • Chris

Yeah did some more digging and found where they completely pulled out of GA.  They don't even have a store in Chattanooga TN or the far western part of NC or even eastern AL – I would have driven that far for that kind of deal.  Oh well – good luck to anyone who lives near one.  Hope y'all score some great deals!

            • Greg

There are 4 that i can see in the Rock Hill area in SC. It's about a 50mile drive for me one way. Debating if its worth it. Figure that's about 4gals of gas at 3.70 a gal. so almost 15 dollars just in gas. Tough call.

            • christa

Not just your gas but also your time. HT's regular prices are outrageous (IMHO) so you would mainly be going after sale items and those could be sold out when you get there, and a raincheck wouldn't help you much since it's such a long and expensive drive.

The last doubles sale I went to was very disappointing. I drove 20 miles and I think I only got 2 things on my list because all the shelves with sale items were empty. Mine is a 24 hour store, the sale starts at 7am on Wednesdays. The clerk told me people are in the store from 4am/5am loading up, therefore nothing is left for other shoppers. You would hope they would order more quantities when they know their is a sale. I am going to try one more time, we shall see what happens. Best of luck to you with your decision.

    • Guest

Dominos has a 40 cents off coupon on their site

you can use this if you don’t want to buy two.

    • carla

Can anybody tell me wether or not this will include the store in fernandina beach area? I live in Jax and this is the closest one to me. I know that as a rule Florida for some crazy reason thinks that we can afford to not double coupons so I was just curious.

      • Yes it does!

        • carla

YEAH!!!!!! I am soooo siked. I can work on my stock pile now. I just restarted my couponing and havent really had a chance to stock pile much yet. I cant wait.

    • Couponkt

Can't find the Hormel Kids Meals Coupon.  What zipcode is it under??

      • Rossjulie

It appears to be gone.  There were Qs in the 5/8 inserts I think.

    • Melissa

Can you use evic coupons with manu coupons at the same time

      • Ctrinkle

        • Melissa

Thanks.  I'm Off to the store.

    • EB

I saw some talk in a different thread that HT made a chain-wide computer change a few weeks ago and now will only double a $$/2 up to the value of one item. Example if you have items that are $1 each and you have a .75 off 2 then it they would only double it to $1 instead of $1.50. Does anyone know if this is true for all stores and if that is going to be the case with triples because that will change how good some of the deals are??

      • kristina

Yes this is true it is to face value, they do not go over. It still makes it free that's a good thing.

      • Staceyf

I just revised my list because of this rule. I had a lot of $/2 and I understand what you are saying, it won't be totally free or as cheap as I would like. First glance makes you think differently. Example, toaster strudle, you are going to pay $4.48 for 2 boxes with this coupon rule, if the $.75 only doubles instead of tripling because it is a $/2. I've seen better deals on gogurt with regular doubles so I will just wait. It was kind of a relief though to take 50% off my list.

        • Staceyf

oops! Toaster Strudle, sorry I switched to gogurt there in the end lol

      • Margoren

That happened to me with a $$/3 today. The weird thing is that it doubled up to regular price of one item (the items were on sale).  So it was $1.80 for three ($.60 each, sale price) and the coupon $.75/3 doubled to $1.19, the regular price of one item. I do not know if it always works this way or not.

    • My husband would say I've reached a new level of crazy. We're leaving for a cruise on 5/22 leaving from Port Canaveral. We'll be coming down 75, across  I-10 (I guess) and down I-95 to Port Canaveral. Is there a HT that's located really close to I-95, somewhere between Jacksonville and Port Canaveral? DH isn't going to go far out of the way. It's already an 8hr drive down from NE Atlanta.

Will everything be practically sold out by next Sunday? Shelves cleared? Will it be worth my time to prepare a list and sacrifice time on the boat?

      • Missy

Amanda, there is one on St. Simons Is, it'll be a little out the way but maybe you could have him take a different route?

      • moneysaved4disney

Not worth your time- they run out of everything! Enjoy your vacation!

      • Barbara

I would call your nearest store and ask when they get their trucks…I never go the first couple days of the sale because everything is cleared out. I have a 20-30 min. drive to the nearest HT so I plan carefully.

      • Barnersb

There are two Harris Teeter’s on Hilton Head Island but that is about an hour off 95.

    • Mary Ellen

YIPPEE !!!!   Look for me at HT at say 530 am or so on Wed morning, Don't worry, I don't clear shelves, But I do want some of the deals this time !!!!! I am soooo excited.

      • awalker

Be careful the first day of the sale the comp will not start tripling until 7am.  I learned this during super doubles last time.

    • LadySiren

So excited! I've got 3 $10 / $50s from Recycle Bank and you can use up to four of them in one month. With those, triples, and my RCs, I am going to have some FUN!

      • SM1day

are they still giving those out? I looked at the rewards yesterday for it and didn't see it anywhere!! So sad!!

        • Cynthia

Click on the  Food and Beverages Tab under Rewards Categories.  It should be in there.  I just checked mine. :)

          • SM1day

Thanks so much!!! It showed up in food and beverage when I put in my zip code…just ordered one, so happy!

        • LadySiren

I just got my last one in the mail this week so I haven't checked if they're still available. Hopefully, they'll continue to offer these as a regular item – I'm loving 'em. :)

    • Srhtabor

please explain triples to me. i thought it meant it only tripled up to a dollar. for example a thirty cent coupon goes to one dollar as a 40 cent coupon only goes to a dollar also??? please help. does this mean a 75cent coupon goes to 2.25???

      • luv2shop

What is triple coupons? All coupons 99¢ or less will be tripled in value, up to 20 coupons per day per card.

      • Jessdare101

Triples mean that a .30 coupon would tripple to .90 and a .75 would triple to $2.25, Anything under $1 to start with will tripple

    • Lindy

How many times/transactions can you use your EVIC card in ONE DAY????? (It doesn't state that answer anywhere that I found on the EVIC information on their website.

      • Newpherchris

Lindy, I can tell you from experience that it doesn't matter how many times you use the card – Harris Teeter' register system will track the number of doubled or tripled coupons on your card. Once you hit 20 (whether that's in 1 or 20 transactions), it won't triple any more until the following day. And, the system tracks from store-to-store, so you can't do 20 and one store and 20 at another on the same day.

        • EB

Another thing I learned last Super Doubles is that it appears to be once in 24 hours and not once a day. (you can't go in the evening one day and in the morning the next day – I had a HT cashier tell me it was 24 hours since the last time you scanned your card, but I do not know how that works if you broke up your transactions throughout the day.

          • Create shopping buddies… I have two. My sister in law and my fiance. All three of us have 3 separate VIC cards. Go in one trip, use 60 coupons… no questions asked. =)

            • guest

don't you feel guilty for doing that?

        • Lindy

I understand about the 20 coupons policy.  I was told you (by a store manager) that you can only use your EVIC card a total of 5 transactions a day WITHOUT or with coupons.

      • lisa

Only 20 coupons that triple, after that face value, PER CARD, PER DAY  no matter if you visit other stores. Sorry!

    • Greg

      what is an evic card?

      • Sheena

its your vic card registered online

      • Kristina

you can use evic coupons with the coupon that is tripled and it makes it for more savings. Just for an FYI

    • JenPhillips9

Do you know if they will limit 20 coupons per day? I know that was the limit on the double promotion they ran the other week.

      • Heatherjw85

@2db047c396bc1f41d02b43ed145c4d63:disqus They limit coupons doubled to 20 everyday no matter the promotion they may be running.  You can use more than 20, but they will be face value only.

    • Bobasett

I know Jenny has confirmed it and I hope she has a good source! I talked to my local vendor for Harris Teeter that I know on the SC/NC border and he said they might wait till Memorial Day week! So until the flyer comes out here near the border, we are waiting for some more confirmation!

      • REALLY hope that guy was just trying to fool ya! :)

        • Shannonw1983

i asked my manager at ht the other week if they were going to ever triple again and he said no just doubling up to 1.98, that is was just a ploy to get people in the stores and i told him it worked!!!  im in rocky mount nc  so i guess well see

    • Relentless_chevy

does anyone know where there is a HT in central florida? Or is there not one?

    • Djacob15

I just checked their policy, and it says: “With the purchase of three like manufacturer’s products, we accept three internet coupons, per store, per day.” The last time I checked it, it said 2 per store per day. So I guess they increased it. That's cool. ” The last time I checked it, it said 2 per store per day. So I guess they increased it. That's cool.

    • Kimmie

can you only get the triple or double coupons if you have a vic card?

      • @807b1a34bed93dda064e6cbb9910ae92:disqus – yes you have to have a VIC card.  I also highly recommend joining E-vic- you get awesome digital coupons on top of the regular ones!

      • a1

That is the only way your coupons will triple always present your VIC card

      • Lisa

Yes. When you get there you go to customer service & request your application or just ask in check out. It’s easy to obtain. Good luck!

    • Amanda

If you use 20 coupons that double, can you still use your $1 off coupons that don't double in the same transaction?

      • Amanda

        I meant that triple.

      • @Amanda There is no posted limit to the # of coupons- only the # that will double- so yes you can use any addition $1+ on top of the 20

        • Amanda

    • Melissa

does anybody know the zip code to use to find the multigrain cheerios and the thin bagels?  i couldnt find either.  :(

thank you for this list Jenny!!!

      • Try 28210 – Charlotte. That's where I got mine.

    • Dumbdoorknob

Is the Land O Lakes that's on sale the quart or the 16 ounce?  If it's the 16 ounce you can't use the 75 cents off a quart coupon for that, you would have to use the 50 cents off a pint coupon.

      • Thanks for the heads up I removed it from the list.  Sorry the coupons all start to blend together after a while working on a list like this.

        • Dumbdoorknob

No problem!  It helps for everyone's eyes on here helping each other so we all get the most savings!  :)

    • Dumbdoorknob

Is it just me or are none of the coupons matching up with the sizes of the products that are on sale??   These coupons wouldn't be able to be used on these products.

    • Sbigham3

I am not seeing the Johnson and Johnson coupons on the site listed. I registered.

    • Karen

      This is great!  Thank Jenny

    • Jhftc

James Island confirmed they are tripling next week

    • Kmheiser

Thank you for all the time you spent on this!!

    • Illum Marina

Hi, I was looking at the list and the coupons suggested for the items and some of the coupons say that it should not be doubled, but does it mean it can be tripled?? for example Lundberg brown rice pasta $0.75 coupon, on the coupon it says do not double?

      • Gwilly99

if the coupon starts with a 5 it will double…or triple in this case

        • Illum Marina

    • Renea Price

Where can I get the Kraft food and family booklet?

      • Rossjulie

This booklet was available in stores several months back.  I haven't seen it in a long time so I think that promotion has stopped.

    • Jenniferacook

If a coupon says that you can not double the coupon can you still triple the coupon?

      • AmyQ

This totally depends on your Harris Teeter store. My stores in Winston Salem NC just scan all coupons and if the computer triples them, (or doubles them), then they will just let it go through. But some stores will put those coupons to the side and will make sure that the compjuter doesnt double or triple. *NOte- any coupon barcode that starts with a “5” should automatically double or triple. If ti starts with a “9” then it will not.*

        • Jenniferacook

Thanks so much that helps alot to know that

        • durhamcouponer

Is this true even for the coupons that come out of the little machines on the store shelves?  They all say 'coupon not subject to doubling' in bold letters at the top, but the bar codes on them do start with a '5'.

          • Mommy2Boys

Yes, as long as it starts with a 5, even if it says DND, it will double.

          • Melissa H

I have found that most of those ( I believe they are from Smart Source), do not double. They begin with a '9'

        • Cfoster1212

Which HT in Winston do you go to? I likve in Winston and am still trying to find out which HT are the best.

    • AmyQ

Oh I'm giddy with joy!! =)

    • da101

WooHoo !!! Thak you so much for all your time Jenny!
It only take me 10 min walking, but I wont be walking this time.

    • Carolyn

This will be my first “triples” trip!! I'm excited!! Jenny thank you for what you do. I was at the Greensboro class and I learned a lot. I am somewhat new to all of this so this trip will be challenging but I'm up to it :)

    • Rochedean

I can't find the Nature's Own thin bagel coupon; does anyon know which zip code to use? Thanks!

      • Couldn't find it either.

      • Wal

        Its gone

    • DL

Jenny, just wanted to let you know – the McCormick Grill Mates would be free with just doubling if the sale continues at B1G1 with the $0.75 coupon (it should be in the “free” list).  Thanks, love your lists!

    • Swtsouthgrl

I was in HT last night (NC) and I was told they weren't doing triples any more… I sure hope they are wrong!! *so* excited!

      • Caitlin

        where in NC????

      • Whiskey

Honey I work for Harris Teeter and they are having triple coupons beginning the 18th!

    • Tamara

The Harris Teeters in Hickory, NC is having the Triple Coupon this week May 11th -17th.

      • Samantha

Thanks I appreciate you posting this because I live in the middle of the hickory and morganton but do not receive an ad for either. Online it does not tell you what coupon specials they are doing.

    • guest12

Ball park coupons from 5/1/11 say no doubling or tripling at the top.  But if you still have the electronic coupon from a few weeks ago that one doesn't say  no doubling or tripling

    • Kcreviews

Sorry if someone has mentioned this already, but the Yo Crunch yogurt will not be free no matter what coupon you use.

      • Kcreviews

Never mind. It is with the .75 one. Which I don't have. :(

    • Kcreviews

Anyone have a zip for the Nature's Own thin bagels?

    • guest

Can you use a saving star coupon and evic coupon and a paper coupon on one product?

      • Raynesmw

    • Margoren

      Hi everyone!
I have exciting news! Well maybe you all know already, but I just found out.
I was at Harris Teeter this morning, at the Newport News, Va. location. I was asking the lady at customer service a question about coupons (specifically if the $$/2 will double up to the cost of the first item only). She said she did not know much about coupons and they had just received a NEW policy this morning via email. She showed it to me. I had such great news that I asked her to make a copy of it for me. She said she would make a copy of the front only (the back has info about printable coupons, scan guarantee and rainchecks. I did not read the scan guarantee section nor the raincheck one but I did read the printable coupons) I just took a look online and it has not been fully updated.

***As someone has mentioned here before, they now accept up to three like printable coupons! It used to be only 2.***
The rest of the section containing printables is pretty much the same (same rules).

***But here is the great news:

“Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order. For example, then if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is also currently under a “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons. This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.”

The assistant manager was a little upset, he did not understand why they could accept coupons on free items. But also said there was nothing they could do about it, that they have to follow corporate policy.

Also of interest to some maybe this:

“Coupons that state “do not double” should not be doubled or tripled”

My copy (the formatting, etc.) looks different than the online version. At my store they are making copies for the cashiers to have at the registers. You may want to ask customer service to see the copy of the new policy and see if they can make a copy for you or at least read it. Next time I would like to read the scan guarantee section to see what it says.

      • Margoren

Sorry for all the spelling mistakes, it took forever for this thing to type. But now it is not being slow.

      • Staceyf

This is GREAT news but I will believe it when I see it. I get frustrated with HT and the wishy washy policy. If you are buying a lot of stuff, it is easy to over look issues on the receipt and I had an issue with a meal deal not long ago that was confusing to me and the CSM, it took forever to sort out. The registers are set up that even if you give your vic card at the beginning, a lot of the deals don't come off til the end and you have to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I wish there was an easier way, I feel tricked sometimes. Then if you have a ton of coupons, which I always do, it's difficult to go back to make sure they were scanned correctly. I will make a small test purchase on Wednesday, but if I wait too long the Hoarders in my area will clear the shelves. I just need one or two of things.

        • Ariadna

You know, I feel the same way but not in HT in Walmart, anyway you can stand just by the side of the cashier like I did :) my first time using coupons…. oh and I paid on the check yourself…….

        • Marycansave

i believe HT has a 3 like coupon limit on items…makes it difficult to hoard items.

      • Sdanorth

I tested the money-off-multiple-items problem today. Coupon was 75 cents off three Idahoan potato packets. Scanned coupon: .75 Multiplied coupon: .44. So, at least in my HT, the coupons will only multiply up to the regular retail price of one item. This is going to change my strategy for triples, but it's nice to know ahead of time so I can plan NOT to use any of that type of q.

        • Margoren

Yes, that's exactly what happened to me. With the potatoes too. It was still an ok deal. But it is good to know how exactly it works. The people at customer service at my store didn't know about this.

      • Raynesmw

This policy change makes perfect sence if you think about it-the items ring up half price if they are BOGO. I have emailed several times about this myself. Perhaps they are listening? On the meal deal items, I have never used coupons on those b/c I was getting them free anyways and I didn't want to press my luck. Why is this thing typing so slow…..

    • Scarff3

The website still shows their old policy, maybe just your store changed it?? Unless they haven't updated the website yet.

      • Margoren

Right, I do not think they have updated it. They told me it was emailed to them by corporate. And they got it this morning. So it seems pretty recent. You can call your store and ask if they got it. It is a corporate policy so it should apply to all stores. The managers just found out when I was there and it did not seem like they were very happy with the changes.

    • The tag at my HT said the YoCrunch sale would end 5/17.

      • The Cheerio's sale was also ending 5/17.

    • Jane

The Harris Teeter I go to in Alexandria, VA is not tripling, so it doesn't seem to be for all areas.

      • Johnstelmack

According to HT Facebook page all areas are!

    • stephanie

Thanks for the info and for the shopping list!  I didn't know triples would come so soon after super-doubles.  This site is my favorite to use for keeping up with sales and match-ups.  Thanks, too, for all of the work you do so I don't have to!

    • Kaycepeltier

I learned that when a coupon says do not double or triple this is only a note for the maufacturer. So if the barcode starts with a 5 it should double and/or triple. If the barcode starts with a 9 it will not double or triple! So 5's are good….9's are not. This has helped me A LOT!

      • EB

This is true with the computers, but some Harris Teeters check every coupon and pull out the ones that say Do Not Double and key them in manually so that the computer will not double them. It definitely depends on your store and sometimes the cashier within a store.

      • Guest

My store does as the responder said to your comment. They pull out all the coupons that say do not double. The reason for this that the computer will automatically double if it isn't keyed in manually by the cashier/manager. The 5's and 9's only mean that it is a manufacturerer coupon which will double, any other number means that it is a store coupon. Harris Teeter is a stickler when it comes to coupons, but they do have good deals when using coupons coupled with e-vic coupons.l think the super doubles is a better deal than triple b/c it's only up to .99. But I stiI'll take it.

    • What exactly does (if sale continues) mean? Is it on sale now?? and if it continues to 5-18 thru 5-23? I dont understand. Sorry! New to all this!!

      • guest

Often items will continue to be on sale for an additional week, past what is showcased in the weekly ad. she just means that if the items stays at that particular “sale” price, it will be a good item to purchase during Triples. If the item is no longer on sale and goes back to a “regular” price it most likely will not be a good deal.

The store would like you to think an item is “on sale” but in fact it stays at this sale price for multiple weeks.

      • Daisypinklady

If the sale item does not change on Wednesday than the deal listed above will be the same. The sale prices change on Wednesday, and if you are  a evic member you get notices in your email on Tuesday's about what will be on sale.

    • guest

      So Jenny,

Since the HT policy says “coupons that state 'do not double' should not be doubled or tripled”…what does this mean for the Triples event? I have used “do not double” coupons many times in the past for both Super Doubles and Triples. Is this a new portion of the policy or has it always been there and is just glossed over by the HT staff?

      • Margoren

It has always been there. The new policy does add that if the coupon says “do not double” then it should not be tripled. In the past they were doubling even if it said do not double (this is at my store). But during the last doubles all cashiers I saw were carefully seting aside “do not double coupons”.

    • luv2shop

LOL!  I think you have indeed reached a new level.  Enjoy the dizzying height!

    • AB

Okay, I'm officially confused on all of the new policy changes.  I see that over the past week plus that the new policy on $/2 (or like muliples) has been discussed.  So, for those who have experience, is it truly up to the retail of one item even if the item is currently on sale?  It seems like the store put this policy in place to trip people up on the triple coupons since it's a difficult policy to work with.

      • Margoren

        This is just my experience.
When I used a $$/3 (specifically $.75/3, Idahoan potatoes, reg. price $1.19 each, on sale for $.60 each), the coupon doubled up to the regular retail price of ONE item (not the sale price). My coupon doubled up to $1.19 ($.75 + $.44)
When I used a $$/2 ($.75/2, Athenos yogurt, regular retail $1.25, on sale for $1.00 each). My coupon did doubled to $1.50.
So could it be that $/3 only double up to the reg. retail price of one item and $/2 do double?
Anyone know? Maybe I'll email corporate to see what they say about this…

        • Kjr Rbnsn

Mine did the same thing.  If you get an answer, please post it.  I wondered why mine did that too.

    • mermaid

There were a few coupons mentioned above to get some deals that I just couldn't locate.  Are these regional only?  I am in Charleston, SC and get my coupons from the Post & Courier.

      SS 5/01 – Kraft BBQ sauce .45/1
      SS 5/01 – Barilla .55/1
      SS 5/01 – Welch's jam or jelly .55/1
      RP 5/01 – Tabasco .50/1 or .60/1
      RP 5/01 – Dove chocolate .75/2

Also, on a few of my coupons they say “NOT SUBJECT TO DOUBLING OR TRIPLING” – but above they're taken into consideration for the tripling special next week.  Does HT double/triple anyway?  Obviously I'm a bit new to this.  Thanks in advance.

      • SarahM

I move between Athens, GA and Charleston from week to week for doctors appointments, and Athens benefits from the Atlanta coupons, which it seems like all of those were – just checked and Kraft, Barilla, Welch's and Dove were definitely in the AJC and Athens Banner Herald and not in my P&C inserts.

I've had good luck going to Barnes and Noble and picking up The State newspaper to get better coupon deals – seems like Columbia gets some of the regional coupons too.

      • SarahM

Also, If you know anyone in the upstate, Greenville News has pretty decent coupons too… ask them to save their inserts for you or mail the coupons :)

    • Hmm….  Scenario idea
Cost to rent tractor trailer + fuel from Atlanta to Charlotte
A million dollars worth of groceries for nothing…wait for it

WOW..  I think I'm going to be a Billionaire tomorrow!!  Somebody call TLC they're gonna want to film this!  :-)

      • Dreaming of the day one of these stores comes to Atlanta area.

        • Kimberly C.

There used to be a Harris Teeter up in Brookhaven, but it closed a long while back. Was sorry to see it go! Glad I live in NC now with 3 HT's within a mile of my house :D

    • Guest

Jenny just wanna say thanks for all you do. All the effort and time you put into this sight to help others. I never shopped at HT b/c they were so expensive. But learning how to coupon along with evic and saving star has saved me tons of $$. Now I get my best deals from HT. Way to go Jenny!!!

    • Alan

I have a question for all you experts (since I'm a newbee). My example is for .75/1 Colegate toothpaste, and .75/1 Colegate toothbrush. These are B1G1 in my area this week. I bought one of each and had both coupons listed above. These did not double to $1.50, instead it listed as .75 and .69, which was the price of the products ea. Is that a Harris Teeter policy, to make it come out to the exact amount and not give you overage? ( I didn't have several other things I bought that the overage could have gone to)

      • Meme4248

In my experience when a coupon doubles it will only double to the amount of the item you are purchasing giving no overage.  Occasionally I think some will give you overage but generally no.

        • Alan

          Ok, thank you.
It was still a good deal, being free.

      • Irene

Yes, HT doesn't give you overage. They only reduce coupons up to a price of an item.

    • Aachs26

If a manu coupon says $1/2 is that equivalent to $1.50/1 in “HT triple coupon world”?

      • Alimac9382

no, you have to buy two and the only time a $1 off coupon can double is during super doubles so you could get $2/2. I see your concept tho!

    • Meme4248

Called the service desk at HT in Hendersonville, NC and asked again if they will be doing triples starting Wednesday.  They say they have no idea.  Seems to me they would know one way or the other by now or else they simply cannot advertise it as yet.  Makes it hard to plan a trip when you are not fortunate enough to live close by.

      • Miss_afb

i called one in charleston,sc and asked and she said she would not know until the night before and wanted to know where i had heard of it then asked if they were advertizing yet lol she was pretty flustered i figured they are not supposed to say anything yet. i called another location a few miles down the road though and they had no prob anwering my ?'s said yes they were participating

      • Dbpridgen69

Most stores gets there ads in the week before the sale so the department managers can place their order in advance. But like the store here in Rocky Mount, the manager is very strict with the public notice. He told me, he thinks they are but doesn't know. He also has the dept. managers signing an ad out BUT they have to bring it back to him and sign it back in. He doesn't want anyone within the public to get their hands on the ad before the sale. They tell you they don't know but they really do.

    • Daisypinklady

When the sale starts does it start at midnight or 9am the next day. Sounds extreme, but on a regular week most stuff is gone, and I think this is going to be pandemonium! I was considering going like at 11Pm and shopping until after midnight if the sales will start at midnight.

      • Melissa H

they start at 7am. I would go at 6am and then be ready to check out at 7am.

    • Samantha

Went to Harris Teeter in Hickory,NC today. They were having triples this week and they did last week. Anyway, I got to talkin to the store manager and he was tellin me new policy come out a couple of days ago and now if there is a B1G1 you can use 2 coupons. He didnt have any copies made up yet but I will try next time to get a copy. I did fairly well I didnt get any overage but still had savings of 78%!

      • Angie

On their website, updated 05/13/2011, it states the change of the internet printables to a max of 3 from 2, but the B1G1 still states:  We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items.
Hopefully they are updating it again?

        • Margoren

Hope they do soon. In the meantime, you can email corporate or go to your store and ask for a copy of the new policy, or at least have them show it to you.
I have a copy and you should be able to use coupons on B1G1 and B1G2, etc, up to 3 like coupons.

    • Adele

The 55cents coupon from Almond Breeze in-store dispenser says no doubling or tripling. Hopefully you're going to one of the HT that still allow tripling and doubling on these q's…unfortunately, my store  no longer allows it. *sigh*

    • Irene

Hello, Breyer's YoCrunch sale 2 for $4 ends may 17=5/17, then it will cost $2.99
75×3=2.25. 2.99-2.25=74 cent for a pack. It's better to buy now, when it costs 2.00-1.50=50 cents

      • Where did you find the 1.50 coupon?

      • zoomappy

        I am guessing the coupon is .75 x double = 1.50.

    • Just so I'm clear… the HT coupon policy says “With the purchase of three like manufacturer’s products, we accept three internet coupons, per store, per day.”  This means I can use three like internet coupons ONLY.  I can use more internet coupons but no more than 3 for the same item.  Is this correct? With the purchase of three like manufacturer’s products, we accept three internet coupons, per store, per day.”  This means I can use three like internet coupons ONLY.  I can use more internet coupons but no more than 3 for the same item.  Is this correct?

      • Sarah

Yes. For example, if you buy 5 boxes of Cheerios, you can use an internet coupon on 3 of them.

    • Chiloogie

    • Orcabug

There are no more prints left for the wetwipes.

      • Orcabug

There are also no prints for Spray N Wash and Johnson's Baby Wash.

    • erin raymond

Does anyone know FOR SURE what time the sale starts. I called one store and they said 8am and then another store said they think it's midnight….The employees never sound like they know what they are talking about!!  I also tried to email corporate 5 days ago and they have not gotten back with me…..

      • @cfffd19dc80fe30a511e9b98744bab18:disqus , The registers change over at 7am. I've checked out at that time the last 4-5 times of Super Doubles.

      • fritzmama

its 7am wed till midnight tues.

    • Sos109

From the online policy: “We gladly accept local
competitors’ manufacturer coupons. We also redeem circular or
direct-mail coupons for money off of the total order.  “

Do the 'competitors' vary by store? I'm in Charleston and have never used paper Target coupons, but am wondering if these would be accepted.

      • 7308CLS

i was told that it has to be a grocery store–full grocery–in fayetteville we don't have super target so they told me they wouldn't–but as long as there is a full grocery than its ok

      • Amanda

At my local Harris Teeter (in VA) they accept but do not double or triple competitors' coupons.

      • Julie

I'm in NC, but I tried to use a Target coupon and they refused it.

        • Guest

Was your Target coupon for a specific item or was it for money off the total order (like '$5 off a $50 purchase')?  HT takes competitors' coupons for $/$$ but they do not take competitor's coupons for anything like '$2 off deodorant' unless it actually says 'manufacturer's coupon' on it.

    • Twinmomaaa

What about FL stores? I thought that no FL stores double??????

    • carla

I just spoke to the store in fernandina beach and they are deffinately doing the triple coupons. I am so stoked!! but when is the next list gonna be out? I thought it was today?

    • HT just confirmed on their FB page that there will be Triples!!

    • Srgordon

RecycleBank coupon for $10 off $50 has anyone used this coupon before the other coupons and it work or does my total after all coupons have to be over $50 to take the $10 off, it states on the coupon after all other promotions/coupons but has anyone tried it before other coupons and seen if it would work

      • ncmom23

I have used the $10 off $50.  I give them that Q first and it works just fine. I did it during super doubles last time.

    • Pattiecu

Used to be a HT shopper, but moved to Walmart because I felt that it was cheaper. Thanks to this site and Jenny, I have been trying HT again for the past month. Question: Does anyone else think that HT ups their prices when they are doing super doubles and triples? Don't know the pricing well enough but during super doubles, I did notice that a regularly priced item at $7.97 was marked 9.97 for which I had a $1 coupon that doubled to make it the regular price. Any thoughts, Experts? Signed, Novice

      • MsDee

I noticed that too.  Few weeks ago they had BOGO Deerpark water 24pack but they raised the price to $7.99 each.  Regular price was $3.99 so I thought I was getting two for $3.99 ,what a deal right?  I was dissapointed when I got to the store and saw the new price of $7.99 each.

        • fritzmama

reg price for DP 24 pks is $7.40 where i am – it also haooens that they are on sale every week usually for 3.99 to 5.49.

      • Crazymomma

        I've noticed the same thing…..

    • paravel43

Does anyone else have trouble printing the French's coupon from their website? My computer meets all the requirements but still won't print :(

      • Teresa

It sounds like you may be having the same problem that I am.  Does your computer tell you that the coupon print activator has been successfully installed.  That's the message I get on my computer and then nothing prints.  It's frustrating.  To make matters worse, Stoneyfield uses the same application.  Hopefully somebody can help.

        • Juliap1025

same problem here too! so frustrating!

          • Becky

Try using a different browser, like Firefox instead of IE.

    • Dmason162

I can't seem to find the hormel kids coupon? Anyone have a zipcode I can try?

      • nancycrom

I can't find it online either.

    • Veronica

I just got my coupons for the Hormel Compleats for kids for .75/1 how is that going to triple when there is a 9 in front of the numbers?

      • Marysc1000

        It's not… 9s don't multiply.

        • Veronica

          DARN!!  tHANKS!  UUHHGGHHH

    • Tkburns

I was in my HT yesterday and the sign on the perdue chicken breasts said sale good until 5-17.  I just thought I would let you know in case anyone wants to go use their coupons today while it is still on sale!

    • mom3

At walgreens in the charlotte area they have their fruit crisp on sale for $1.00 so use your .75 off one coupon and it's only .25 each, which beats HT price even with triples.  Harris Teeter prices are higher anyway so sometimes you can get a better deal somewhere else even when they double and triple.  I got mine at the Walgreens at Indian Trail.

      • Margoren

Was it a 2 pack or only one? My Walgreens had 1 fruit crisp for $1.00 ($0.25 after coupon). At my Harris Teeter they are $2.75 for a pack of 2. After coupon triples I'll pay $.50 for a pack of 2 ($.25 for each one, same as Walgreens) However because I only have 3 coupons I could go to Walgreens and get only 3 for $.25 each or got to Harris Teeter  and get 3 packs (6 bowls) and will also pay $.25 for each. I rather go to Harris teeter and get 6 (I have 5 kids) and still pay the same price per unit than Walgreens and with the same amount of coupons.

        • mom3

Maybe your right, I did'nt even know they came in a 2 pack.

    • The.Mrs.

Spent ALL morning calling around to different HT's in the Charlotte area.  One guy at customer service said “no” for HT triples starting tomorrow, the others said YES.  One girl said that ALL HT'S IN THE NC DISTRICT ARE PARTICIPATING  and that only the managers know right now and she only found out because she saw the ad on his desk (sneaky).  Another guy in customer service explained that they aren't allowed to tell the customers (after telling me I tricked him by catching him off-guard), they actually don't even tell the cashiers until the day of (which explains why none of them know).   I told him that I wouldn't tell anybody else except for a few close friends.  I bet you didn't know we were all so close ;)HAPPY SHOPPING EVERYONE!!!

      • Mrs. H

They announced the Triple Coupon day on Facebook several days ago

    • Rachelledavis1

Hi, i'm new to the couponing world and i had a question about this sale. When they triple your coupons does it just triple the value of the coupon? for instance, can i use 1 (tripled) coupon for one item or do i have to but 3? it's all a little overwhelming. Also, what does it mean by 20 coupons per card”?

      • The.Mrs.

Triples means that the store will triple the savings of the coupon. For instance if you have a coupon for $0.50 off of 1 box of Pasta, They will triple the coupon at checkout so you receive $1.50 off of 1 box of Pasta. Harris Teeter will only double or triple the first 20 coupons you give them at checkout  (this is everyday).  Any additional coupons will only ring up for face value. They track this using your VIC card.  You are also limited to only 3 like coupons per purchase.  So if you have 5 of those $0.50 off of 1 box of Pasta coupons, you can only use 3 in one transaction and will have to save the other 2 for another trip.  At the top of this page on the right side, there is a link to Harris Teeters coupon policy.  I suggest reading it before your shopping trip.

        • Rachelledavis1

thanks so much, this was very helpful information :)

      • Theandersons1403

If you have a coupon that is for .50 then this will triple to $1.50 on that one product.  There is a limit of 20 coupons  per vic card per day.  This mean you are only allowed to use 20 coupons that can triple.  Once you reach the 20 coupon limit, you can still use coupons but only at face vaule.  This is for Harris Teeter. I hope this helped some!

    • Eve

new to couponing…. i have a stupid question, if i go to HT use 20 coupons to are with in the tripling limits but want to use a few that are like 1.50 i know they dont triple (obviously) but can i use them in the same transaction, ie 22 coupons in 1 trip?

thank you from a novice trying to handle a family of 5

      • Jen

Yes you can do that!  They will triple only 20 but you can use aas many as you want of the 1 dollar or more ones since they dont' triple!

        • eve

Thank you so much. I didn't want to make a seperate trip to use my higher value coupons!

          • Tabatha

Thank you for asking this question, I too am new to this and had the same question!!

      • Lynne

Make sure you put your non-tripling coupons at the end of you stack.

      • Klphil61

My daughter works for HT she told us seperate the sales and you can start your 20 over.

    • Goodkristen

Best way to handle the “are you or are you not triple couponing tomorrow” question for harris teeter is not to ask, simply ask “what time will you be starting triple coupons tomorrow?”  That way it is understood that you know they are participating.  Tried it today, first call…worked like a charm. My ht starts at 7am since they are not a 24 hour store.

    • sam

Do the savingstar ecoupons count towards the 20?

      • Margoren

    • Southernsweetie562000

Are you suppose to use all the coupons you have listed under the item? Or just one? Does Harris Teeter Stack ?

      • Carriesaves

no. she is giving you all the coupons options. you want to use the best one available to you. You can only use of manufacturer coupon per item. And yes, they “stack” coupons. ONe store and one manufacturer per item.

      • Beck

they take one manufacturer's coupon per item, jenny just lists all available coupons for each item. HT will stack store coupons with man. Q's, but store Q's are rare, they usually come in the mail. they will also stack their e-vic coupons (loaded on your vic card from their website) with man. Q's

    • Vmgh3b

Do SavingStar ecoupons triple or are they just the face value?

      • Margoren

        Face value.

    • LilysDad0823

The Wasa Crackers weren't on sale at our store this morning.  bummer.

      • Kelly

only one flavor of the Wasa Crackers were on sale in the Concord area this morning

    • jessica

question BiLo doesnt double internet coupons. Does anyone know if Harris Teeter will triple internet coupons

      • cs

ht will. My bilo doubles internet coupons though never heard of them not doubling it.

      • Irdc

Yes they will accept internet coupons.

    • Mrs Lewis05

all my ball park deli hot dog coupons say not to double or triple them is there other ones that dont.

      • Lisa J

I just used my ball park coupons this morning and they tripled.

        • i need to save

          where which store?

      • Nitepeepers

As long as they do not have a number 9 at the beginning of the UPC code. If it is a five they will triple whether it says not to or not.

        • Mrs Lewis05

thank you going to look now. I love those kinds so that will help out

    • Krista

There are unfortunately a lot of errors in pricing and a few in the coupon list for the Hampton roads virginia area. At least at the Suffolk HT. A lot of the prices that are listed here are incorrect so many of the Free items aren't actually free. Pills Cresent rolls are 2.89 a piece not $1, and HT  in Suffolk doesn't carry the 32oz Yoplait.
Quite bummed. Oh well. saved a ton.

      • Sbigham3

Same here with the price of the crescent rolls. I also find that the coffee creamer price is incorrect for my area each time. I did well today though!

    • Juliap1025

i can't print the french's honey mustard dipping sauce! i've tried about 8 times!  any suggestions?? thanks!

      • Teresa

Bumping for anybody who knows what could be causing this…..

    • Guest12

In the past month I have been to HT in morganton, NC and every week fewer and fewer deals match up and when I went in today for triples NONE of what I went for was on sale! Some things were even replaced with higher ticketed items (i.e: there were two tags for the same item size/type on two seperate shelves and none of the smaller size that's usually there). This is making me increasingly upset :(

      • Snowbingham

go under the harris teeter website and look on the express lane closest to you. Even then some prices wont match but ive found that items on there will sometimes be cheaper once you get there so if its a pretty good deal from the price there you might be in for a pleasant suprise once you get in store.

      • Samantha

Ive stopped going to morganton and started going to hickory I have no idea how long but since I started 3 weeks ago Hickory HT has had triples all 3 weeks and even thought it is a bit further for me than morganton it is well worth it the manager has been super helpful and all cashiers been very coupon friendly!

    • Kabeckstead

I'm unsure about the Smart Balance product coupons you have, however the coupons I have specify 'do not double' in small print on bottom. so the prices listed with discount would not be the same. again these are the coupons i have have and i cannot remember which insert i got mine from. otherwise thanks a million for helping make my shopping list a little more specific!

      • Mrs Lewis05

Glad i read this I just seen that to.

    • Angelas001

I'm so sad- my HT doesn't carry the Ghirardelli Luxe bars :(   It can be an expensive habit.

      • Abby

I just bought a regular dark bar and the coupon worked

    • Kristin

Has anyone tried to go to harris teeter with the coupons for the pillsbury cresent rolls or pepridge farm cookies.  The items now say that they are full price however, this list says that  the cresent rolls should cost $.20 after coupon and the pepridge farm cookies should cost $.9 after coupon and discounts but on shelf they say the cookies cost $3.49 a package. NO SALE TAG anymore. any info would be greatly appreciated.

      • Sundaydrive00

Some of the items from this list are from last weeks sales prices. Sometimes the sales continue for another week, sometimes they don't. Since Jenny didn't know if they would or not, she went ahead and put them on the list just in case. I guess it turns out that the sale didn't continue on through this week.

    • Kimmesc

Does anyone know if the Wisk Laundry Detergent e-vic price that says limit 1 is 1 per week or per day possibly?

      • Sundaydrive00

1 for the entire sales week.

      • Vgwagoner

I would think 1 per VIC card for the entire week

      • Edwardanna102701

        e-vic is one per week

    • Mrs Lewis05

question on the irish spring body wash was there a miss print because my math doesnt come out to 1.49 like on the herbal stuff.

    • Cruxius

I thought (from previous experience) that if I had an overage on a coupon, the extra could be applied to another identical product.

For the Athenos Yogurt, I bought 3 and $1 each.  I had a .75/2 coupon. It rang up as “SCANNED COUPON .75” and “MULTIPLIED COUPON 1.25,” so I paid full price for the third.

I'm not too offended, but I thought I knew their policy from other things I got better than free.

      • Sundaydrive00

Nope, their policy doesn't give overage, and hasn't for the 2+ years that I've been couponing with them.

    • Twellwoman

Can anyone tell me, if the sale says 5 for $5 or 10 for $10, do I have to buy all 10 items to get that price, or can I just get 1 for $1?  Since I can only double/triple 3 coupons, that will make a big difference!  Thank you!

      • Yauniek J

Yup you can get just 1 for $1. You dont have to buy all ten. :)

      • Awadremer

you can just get 1 for $1

    • Man are they seriously sold out of nearly everything I went for!

    • Jackie

Tostinos pizza rolls not on sale @ concord store :(

I just went shopping friday night and I saved $132 between coupons and vic deals!! If you have a coupon for the hormel chili sauce its on vic for 3/2 then use manf coupon .50…and only pay .50 for 3 cans…I spent $142 total.. thats $274 worth of groceries!!
