I found the free list…sorry…computer was doing something funky! Thank You so much

    • Trying to decide if this is worth the drive………

    • Thank you so much Jenny. I will post it to my blog to get my girls ready. Great job.

    • Sue

This is the best list ever!!!! Thanks a million.

    • Ali

Can you please clarify which coupon value should be presented first? For example, should the $.25 coupon be presented first, prior to the $.50 coupon or is it the other way around? Why is this important? Happy shopping! :D

    • Melissa

Thank you so much for the new shopping list feature. However, I cannot get “other good deals” to print in a shopping list. Any ideas?

    • Juliett

Love the shopping list feature!! Is that new??? Thanks a million!!

    • This list is also great for anyone who has a Bloom that is tripling coupons in their area. I will be heading there tomorrow to destroy their shelves!!

    • ASW

Thanks for getting this up early … I’ve been checking all day in anticipation!

    • Katie T

so does the sale start or end on 9/16?

    • Jenny

Katie – The sale starts on 9/16. You have a day head start to get ready

Melissa – I think I fixed it. I’m new at the format and coding :)

    • Katie T

Thanks!! Lots of good stuff, didn’t want to miss out!

    • I have noticed a lot of the coupons say do not double or triple at the top. Will they still triple these coupons?

    • Kathy

Last time, Kroger tripled coupons along with HT in the Nashville area. Does anyone know if they are matching them again?

    • Cyndi

      Thank you so much!!

    • Dana

Love your new printable list feature! Wonderful!!

    • Thank you so much! This will help get me off to a great start with my brand new Coupon Cornucopia Food Closet! You are the best Jenny!

    • Michelle

I just created my grocery list for HT and I have 20 items with coupons to be tripled… I have estimated that I will spend 2.56 before tax for all 20 items. WOW!! Thank you so much for all the time you put into this website!!!

    • Patricia

Some of my “printable” coupons say “Do no double or triple” will the store abide by this or will they go ahead and triple? Any idea? Thanks!

    • Patricia

Kathy, last time HT doubled, I just called the Kroger that tripled and asked if they were doubling like HT. (they were matching HT) I plan on doing that again tomorrow.

    • stacey

the shopping list that i can print is the best thing ever, you have no idea how much i appreicate this it saves me so much time with three little boys running around

    • This is absolutely INCREDIBLE! On behalf of our budget – THANK YOU!!!!

    • Trish Townsend

I know I commented on this yesterday, but this shopping list is such a blessing! Thank you, thank you!!!!

    • Oh I am so jealous of those who have a HT near them! H

    • Kelly

Does this start at midnight at 24hr stores? And is it really 20 per day? Has anyone been stopped or denied?

    • Thanks so much for all your hard work Jenny. This is truly a blessing. This will save me so much time. I shared this with my blog readers.

    • Melissa S.

Kelly #18 – My husband works at the East Bay/Charleston, SC HT (24 hour store) and he says that it depends on when the responsible person loads the sale information. He says in his store, the sales are loaded at midnight. Other stores don’t start until 6:00 a.m. the morning of the sale start date. And, I believe the 20 per day is tracked with your VIC card and have been told that it will limit you even if you go to another store though I haven’t tried to go over the limit or use more at a different store.

    • Kelly

I m not trying to be greedy as it sounds,( I reread my post and it sounds awful) I have a sick father in law and have to leave town on Friday pm. So that only gives me 3 days. Thank you for your help.
      I LOVE HT!!!!!

    • Su

WOW!! You are quickly becoming the ONLY site I check for deal matchups now!! And I LOVE that you can print a grocery list. . what a great resource. . makes it even easier to plan!! Thank you soo much. I have posted a link to your list here on my blog and told my readers that you really are the only site they need to check out for matchups. Thanks for the time and energy you give your blog. Wow!! Su

    • Kelly

Oh yeah I forgot I love this site..I tell everyone about it. Usually its the cashier or the person behind me in line who sees me dish out $5 for a cart of groceries! Thank you for all you do…you are awesome!!!!

    • Christine W

Thanks so much for the list maker! What a time saver!

    • Thanks for the awesome list. I see in the title it says “unlimited”…are they really unlimited this time? I hadn’t seen that mentioned anywhere else. That would be awesome!

    • OMG I wish I could delete, I feel like such a dork. The title says ‘ultimate’ not unlimited. oops ~ wishful thinking I guess.

    • Laura

I’m SO excited, I just printed my list (what a great feature, BTW) and can’t wait to hit the store. I just checked another website (afullcup) though to see if there was anything different on it and the sale items she has posted are totally different than the ones listed here. I really hope this list is correct because I’m ready! Does anyone know why they’d not be the same?!?
P.S. Southern Savers is great and the most user friendly…I tell everyone I know about it!

    • Kellyann

How long is the tripling sale for – just Wed. or all week?

      • Jenny

The tripling is all week long, but if you want some of the good stuff I would recommend Wednesday shopping!

    • Amanda

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the IP’S and if they take expired coupons. I really need to know???? Thanks

    • sam

      amazing!!! thanks!

    • Amanda,

You can use 2 IPs for the same item. HT does not accept expired q’s. Hope that helps!

    • Dena

      Question: for the :
Crisco Vegetable Oil 48 oz $2.99
-.75/1 Crisco any RP 9/13 (makes it .74¢ ea)

I only have a coupon for Crisco Olive Oil from RP 9/13, are you saying that I can use that coupon to buy the Crisco vegetable Oil?

    • Kellyann

Do they allow rainchecks on items that you are trying to get tripled? Just wondering??

    • Angela

We have a HT about 40 mins from us but never shop there so we don’t have a VIC card. Can you get one the day you go to shop? Or do you recommend getting it before hand?

    • kay

I spoke with the morning manager at my HT and they do not honor coupons that state “do not double or triple”. Therefore there is not much of a savings… A lot of the internet coupons have that at the top of them.

    • Audrey

At the HT where I shop, I have had no problems with qs ringing up doulbe when they say no double or tripling on them. Just depends on who you get I think.

    • Patricia

Does anyone know if the printable coupons that say do not double or triple are honored under the triples thing? I would guess not, but thought someone might KNOW for sure. Thanks!

    • Audrey

I have used them before and they doubled and tripled. I think it depends on your cashier!

    • Angela- you can get a VIC card the day you shop. It’ll take just a few minutes and you’ll need to give them your driver’s license to sign up.

Others- if the barcode on a coupon starts with 5, it will automatically double/triple. The only way it wouldn’t is if a cashier pulled these out and manually overrode the doubling/tripling- I have read this happening at some places, but I’v peronally never experienced it at HT or elsewhere. I’ve used IPs during last triples and super doubles and never had a problem- with the exception of B1G1 deals where the coupon value exceeds the purchase price of both items when using 2. In these cases, I usually just split up the transaction to avoid this problem.

    • Nikki

your viva big towel Q is actually .40/1 in the SS 8/16…rather than .85/1…am I missing something? I can’t find the .85/1…can someone help me out here…thanks

    • Linda

      Love the shopping list

    • Nikki- The Viva coupon was regional. Here in the hampton roads area of VA I got the .85.

    • Jenny,

You are the greatest! I love the new shopping list feature. Thanks for all you do!

    • Laur

what does “saved for college” mean?

    • Love, love, love, love, absolutely love the shopping list maker!!!

    • Logan

Is there a limit on how many of one thing that you can purchase? If I have 5 coupons for one product can I buy 5 of those things in the same purchase using 5 coupons?

    • Stephanie H

I love this website! I used The Grocery Game before but no longer!

    • Patricia

      ty kay!

    • Nikki

To Jaime 50…thank you sooo much for that one…lol…I thought I was losing it because of not being able to find it…again…thank you. Well for S.C. we got a -40/1…your deal is much better :)

    • Alison

If a store is doubling coupons and you have a coupon for $1.50 off 2 of an item, will the store double it as if it were .75 on one? Also does doubling count on anything like a buy one get one free coupon?

    • Thanks so much! I am a very new coupon user. I do not have alot of these but I am so excited to get my collection growing so I can participate more fully in the near future. Great site and such a blessing to so many families! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

      I do have a newbie question , :)
if HT does not dbl except past 99 cents, will it take a dollar or more off coupon and only use 99 cents off on it? Or can you not dbl it at all.

Thanks! This is so amazing I wish I had gotten into coupons years ago! :)

    • buster

“Does anyone know if the printable coupons that say do not double or triple are honored under the triples thing? I would guess not, but thought someone might KNOW for sure. Thanks!”

Look for the 5 or 9 at the beginning of the bar code. If it has a 5 the computer will triple the coupon no matter what the coupon says. If it has a 9 it will not double or triple. Some cashiers are getting coupon savvy and are checking the coupons, but we just ask them to scan it and see what happens…I’ve never had a coupon not double or triple if it scans.

Just a tip since I seem to be one of the small minority of men on this site…. go to the young guy cashier…they never check anything…they scan every coupon and rarely look at them. I pick an choose my cashiers at every store. Just take a quick glance and see who’s checking coupons and who is not….it’s a quick read after you start noticing.

Understand the manufactures are giving back the money for the face value of the coupon, HT (or whoever) is footing the cost when they double or triple. So they do have the final say when it comes to what coupon they double or triple. Note: HT had a policy change on coupons this summer from the main office. It’s printed and available at costumer service for everyone. I always have it in hand when I am at the checkout counter.

Buy the way, Jenny has the best coupon site on the net…. no frilles, just the deals.

    • Katherine

Does anyone know exactly how to use the Upromise Ecoupons? Since the coupon is linked to my VIC card will it automatically be deducted if I buy the product? Thanks!

I’m new to couponing and have become so addicted to this site! Thanks!!

    • michelle

Just when I thought your site couldn’t get any better you add the shopping list for us!! This is by far my favorite place to “shop”!

Thank you so much, you will never know the difference you make in others lives.

      # 59 Buster has good points. I was told by a store manager that the mfr. pays the store for the single coupons, plus a fee mentioned on the coupon (pennies). Then, the mfr. works a deal with the store/chain to take a percentage of the hit from doubles, if doubles are allowed. It could be 50/50, or as much as 100%, dependin on the manufacturer. For triples, it’s all on the store. And for no doubling or tripling on the coupon, it is up to the cashier to decide. I’ve had girls separate my stack between regular coupons and “no doubles or triples”. They’d ring the no’s up separately.

I too always pick a younger person, and never an older person if I can help it. The guys don’t seem to care that much, as long as you’re cool about it, and friendly, I’ve found. I just hope the register doesn’t beep, but that’s not happened, except where I ran into the negative, one time, and the supervisor had to come over and do an override. I didn’t get cash back, though.

    • Phillis

Went to Harris Teeter’s on Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN early this morning. Well stocked, great trip, spent $3.33 got around $50 worth of good stuff! They are very picky with coupons. They will not double/triple if the coupon says not to. Had a little problem with the General Mills deal, but the manager took care of the problem.

Stopped by Kroger on Edmondson Pike they are not tripling yet, but will be as soon as corporate updates computers, maybe later today. I would call before going.

    • Little Amy

At the Asheville, NC store, my cashier looked at every coupon and if it said do not double she did not let it go thru. She was pretty young too.

Also, several of my prices did not match up. Cost of living is higher in Asheville and maybe higher in some areas for others as well. For example, the Hefty cups were a penny less than what was listed, but the reyonolds foil was a $1 more (3.99) for the 75ft. Make sure you look at the actual shelf price compared to whats on the list to see if its a good deal for you. Just a heads up:)

    • Julie

Just got back from HT and had to share. Total OOP .44, got back $4 in cats! 26 item, 20 coupons!! Thanks so much for your list, Jenny! You help me saved $70+

    • Cris

The shopping list is a WONDERFUL upgrade! Love it! Thanks for adding it!

    • Becky

Just to let you know! My friend and I just went to HT in Mt.Pleasant off of Long Pt. Rd. They didn’t dble any of my friends coupons that said at the top “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE”, and they would’t let my use both of my coupons on the B2G3. As the women working put it: “You can not use coupons on the free items. So needless to say, I ended up paying way more than I wanted and am now thinking HT is not a good place to shop! But this was just my experiance and something to think about for the future..
OH and I didn’t get the $5 off the GM promotion because the signs weren’t up for what products they were on. So even though I got 15 GM products, I didn’t get the right ones, so I didn’t get the $5 off

    • Caroline

HT on Longpoint Rd. in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant SC will not triple internet coupons that say do not double or triple. They manually override the register. Happy couponing!

    • Jamie

The HT in Morehead City has a sign that says “Triple Manufacturers Coupons” EVERYDAY; This Store Only. I’m not sure how long they are doing this for…I will be going there tonight for Triples and I will find out how long this will be going on for. I’m so excited….this is going to be FUN!!!

      • Dani P.

        What did you find out?

    • I just wanted to say thank you! My cashier took everything even the ones that say do not double from the internet. I go to the Wesley Chapel HT. I spend $25.00 and saved 35.55 with my coupons. I also saved $13.50 in Vic rewards. This was my first experience with coupons!I am psyched!

    • Jenn

#59- Jenn-Lee- Harris Teeter will only double and triple a coupon that is .99¢ or less so you’ll be looking out for those 75¢ coupons since those are the most popular. If the coupon is $1.00 or more then that’s exactly what you get off. So, in some cases you’ll see a newspaper that has 50¢ off a box of cereal but then an online coupon that’s $1.00 off that cereal. If it’s a doubles week then the coupons equate to the same thing (50¢ doubles and $1.00 stays the same). However, if it’s a triples week then that 50¢ coupon is now worth $1.50 and that $1.00 stays the same. So less really is more! :)

    • M Johnson

THANK YOU for adding the printable list!! LOVE IT! :)

    • Anita Shipley

I went to the one in Brentwood, TN this morning and a lot of the items listed did not have the sales prices on the shelf. Do the sales items vary from store to store? How often do they have a triles special?

    • Gladys Kirkpatrick

Just got back from HT in Brentwood and did pretty good. They were much better stocked this time around. Just be sure to check your receipts at checkout. They had a bunch of items ring up the wrong price and certain MC coupons did not triple even though it didn’t say “do not triple”. Ironically, the ones that said “do not triple”, tripled just fine! Some of the coupons did not allow for overage. Think this might be my last HT triples trip, too far of a drive and not as rewarding as kroger triples for all the effort.

    • Shannon

Love the printable list Jenny – and all that you do! Some of the coupons must be regional – I am in Raleigh, NC and I did not have the Helluva Good Dip SS 8/23 or Dukes Mayo SS 8/16 and my Egglands’s coupon (SS 9/13) was for 35 cents off not 75. Oh well, I am still psyched about the many FREE items I will get when I head to HT after work today!

    • Patricia

Franklin Road HT DOES NOT triple do not triple coupons

    • Dianne

I just went to HT with my 20 coupons and it was great!!! Did the self checkout and i’ve found that it goes much smoother. They don’t try to check each item – they’re just getting you thru. Since I started doing that, I get the overages on my coupons whereas before, the cashiers wouldn’t put it thru. $46 for $9 is pretty good!!!!

    • Dianne

the Wishbone dressing is $2.00 each – with the $.75 coupon tripled, you make $.25 profit!

    • Audrey

None of my HT give any overage.

    • Jenn

Just FYI, the Solo cups weren’t on sale at the James Island HT.

    • Thanks so much for answering my question Jenn. I had quite the experience shopping with my 3 kids. one got a tooth knocked out during the trip. :) adventures for sure. I’ll be back for more savings for sure before triples ends.

Spent $28 on about $90 worth of stuff. Wish I had done better, realized I forgot to redeem my e-coupons on my vic card too. oops. Still really great savings. Last week before I started this I would have paid full price. :( Thanks so much for the lists!

    • karen

Does anyone actually have an .85 off Viva coupon? All of mine are .40 coupons, which are not much of a deal.

    • trish

I purchased someones time to clip the .85/1 Viva on ebay.

    • I spent $7 on $45 worth of stuff!!!! Thanks SouthernSavers, I would have never had time to compare the ad to coupons. Thanks for all you do!

    • Kari

Harris Teeter has Glade Fragrance 2oz votives on sale for 2 for 4.00. If you still have the “$3.00 off two” coupon, that makes them .50 each!

    • Michelle

Has anyone else had a problem with th $5.00 off GM deal it states green giant can vegetables are included in the ad but when I went to checkout the discount did not show up and the manager was very rude and said well it has been working all day and I dont care what that says you can’t get the discount. I did go back later and another manager did put in the discount and she did not understand why the discount did not go through but she did say the can vegetables had to be niblets

    • Glenn

What a great website! Thanks for all of your efforts, Jenny! Make sure your husband/wife have a Vic card of their own. It helps with the 20 coupon limit. Or get a friend who doesn’t shop there to get a card for you. The “do not double” coupons will go through if the cashier just scans them. I told one old witch that HT might make her CEO if she says them enough pennies!! Everyone in line cracked up – all couponers!!

    • Dana

In case anyone else is looking for pet savings, the Purina One Cat food has a coupon on the bag as well, in some cases. I lucked out and got a $1 off coupon. I noticed they’re not on all the bags, just a lucky few.

    • MarySC

My clerk at Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant did not override any of my internet coupons (I only had a few that said “do not double/triple”). I spent $15 and had $64 in coupon savings and $15 in store savings!!

    • Dana

      Logan #54
You can only have three of the same coupons/same items in one transaction, so if you have five you need to split them up. However, if you have internet printed coupons it is only two same coupons/same items.

      Katherine #61
Upromise is a savings account not an instant coupon. The money will go into your account, so you won’t see it until you cash out. Also, you have to activate the coupons before you go shopping. I don’t let them affect if I buy a product or not, so it is just an added bonus to see them go into my account.

    • bethany

jenny–you are awesome!! this was my first time shopping triples, and i saved almost 70 dollars…i also saw tons of women in the store with their coupons and told them about your site–they were SOOOOO jealous of my shopping list! thanks a lot!! i will pray that God will richly bless your endeavors!!

    • Carolyn

Just confirmed that 8th Ave/Franklin Rd. Nashville Kroger store will be doing triples!!

    • Edie

Just got back from Harris Teeter – open all night! What a deal on the pizza bites – Tostinos. Buy 2 – get three free – print the coupon. I talked to the manager at my Harris Teeter on Falls of the Neuse in North Raleigh. The free ones also counted towards my General Mills items and I got the additional $5 off. Bought 15 boxes of pizza rolls (for a halloween party for kiddos) and a box of cereal – $3.19 with tax!

FYI – if you look on your coupon – if the bar code number starts with a “5” they will double and triple – learned that in couponing 101 and it works!

    • Edie

Oh – LOVE the shopping list!! Thanks for everything you do!

    • Wendy

I went to HT last night. Used 20 coupons. Young guy scanned all of my coupons without even looking at them. No problems at all. When he saw that he owed me $0.61 back, I thought his eyes were going to bug out of his head. He said, “I don’t think this is right”. He thought he had made a mistake. I told him that he didn’t make a mistake and that he did owe me $0.61 back but he didn’t have to give it to me if he didn’t know how to open his register but I did encourage him to call his manager over because I didn’t want his register to be wrong at the end of the night. The manager came over and couldn’t believe that I was owed $0.61 back. She said it was a first for her. Told me I won a gold star for that and quickly gave me my $0.61.

Basically HT paid me $0.61 to leave with $33.00 worth of groceries! How cool is that! I actually was laughing all the way to my car.

Jenny, I love your site. It’s the best I’ve found. Very comprehensive and thorough and every time I try to second guess you I end up being wrong!

I will be going back today to use 20 more coupons!

    • Kelly

Paid $7.41 (after catalinas) for $115 worth of groceries!!!!! I love harris teeter!!!! Getting ready to go again!!!

    • Wendy

Me again……..went to HT this morning to use 20 more coupons for free stuff. Before coupons my bill was $54.05. After coupons, they owed me $0.75! The cashier immediately said “I can’t give you $0.75!” and was not nice about it. The manager happened to be bagging my groceries and he said “We have to give it to her.” She said that was not what she was told but he made her give it to me. The cashier was so put off by the whole thing. Wow, I guess I made her day huh?

So yesterday’s total of $32.65 plus today’s total of $54.05 = $86.70 in FREE GROCERIES! And it’s all stuff that I use!

And by the way, I have confirmed that if the bar code number starts with a “5? they will double and triple even if the coupons says something like “will not double” or “not subject to doubling”.

    • Audrey

Again depends on your cashier and manager in HT. My HT would not take a manufactor’s q that said use at Publix. It would not triple. I have not had that prob at another one. They are watching the DND and DNT again go with a younger guy. THey really seem to be cracking down this time.

    • Went to HT yesterday…Saved $200, only spent $140. I am BEYOND thrilled! Go check out my blog for a list of everything I bought
Also… Lysol wipes were on sale BOGO and I used my coupon I was going to use at Walgreens… but they didn’t have the double packs for some reason. Paid $1.25 per container, they are usually $3.50!
My secret… my little sister just turned 18, so she got her own VIC card, she goes shopping with me to help with the twins, and since she still lives at home she doesn’t need anything. So I can do two shopping trips at once.

    • Julie

I went to Harris Teeter last night in Holly Spring, NC, excited and ready to use my coupons. Unfortunataly, my HT was out of just about everything that happened to be B1G1 and anything that coupons matched up with. I find this very hard to believe. Sometimes I wonder if they pull those items from the shelf or only stock a few of those items on purpose. I’m so frustrated!

    • Little Amy

If you have your coupon from All you (can’t remember what month) for .75 of one bag of the Granda tortilla chips, they are current 2/$5 at HT. So .75×3=2.25 2.50-2.25=.25 a bag! Its a good size bag of tortilla chips too!!!

    • Julie A

Your website is awesome. Went to HT in Brentwood, TN and they would not triple any internet coupons. Go to HT in hillsboro village, much nicer staff and they do triple.

    • Beth

I went this morning to HT. I had my 20 coupons to triple and found everything in the store (although they only had the pepperoni pizza rolls, not the combo ones my family likes). I also had to buy some Rug Doctor chemical since our puppy thinks the dining room is grass. Is was happy to see it on sale for $6.99, down from $9.99. For some reason, I pulled a coupon for the pizza rolls that had expired :(, but it was still a good deal..I went ahead and got them. The Solo cups were not on sale at my store, so those were out of the cart. Then the Rug Doctor stuff rang up at full price. The manager came over and looked at the shelf tag (the sale ended over 2 weeks ago!) and no one had removed the sale tag. They gave it to me for FREE!!!!! I love that! It made up for the pizza roll coupon being expired. Just wish I would have tried to by more of them lol

    • Beth

oh yeah. Bought about $70 bucks worth of stuff and paid 7.50! I am loving this!

    • Julie 100
I had the same problem you did the last time there were triples, I waited until the evening to shop. I think that a whole lot of people have tons of coupons and wipe the selections out pretty early on (perhaps those that are lucky enough to be stay at home moms). This time, I went in the afternoon and was able to get almost all of the match-ups. I could tell that they did have quite a few items stocked but were getting pretty low at that point (around 3:30pm). I stick with mostly cleaning supplies since I am trying to minimize my processed food consumption. The food items that I was able to get will be used for work potlucks. Go here to see what I was able to get: http://savingyougreen.blogspot.com/2009/09/harris-teeter-triples-saved-85.html

    • Rachel

Last time HT did triples, you could go back through several times in one day if they didn’t care. Evidently they have changed that since then!

I went my 2nd time yesterday after the kids were in bed just to be able to use 2 coupons! Luckily the checker was very nice about it since she had to put 20 + items back. Then I went to Kroger b/c they are matching the triples right now & some shopper told me they don’t care if you go over 20. That the system doesn’t catch it. Wrong! So I have to call Kroger & see if there is anything they will do about the additional $7.45 I should have gotten off my bill.

I’m pregnant (w/3 kids already) & my shopping “challenges” wore me out.

Jenny, thank you for all you do!!! Going to HT is so much easier b/c I have your list. Kroger is taking longer w/the triples & it makes me really appreciate what you do. I make pitches for Southern Savers to whoever will listen! A million thanks!!!

    • Tammy

      Wendy- #96 & 98,
I want your shopping lists! That is wonderful. Can you post what you bought and the match ups?

    • kris

The H.T. on Long Point in MT. P. also didn’t double my coupons that said “Do not double.” The clerk and the manager stood there to make sure that they were pulled aside and manually put them in so they wouldn’t double. That’s a first for me.

I wonder if the H.T. on Houston Northcutt does the same?

    • I went back today with more coupons and the cashier had to give me back .75 cents!

    • Meredith

I went to the HT in Cary, NC (Tryon/Kildaire) and they would not triple the coupons that said do not double or triple. The cashier – a young male said his manager told them not to because something came from corporate. A manager came over and told me they wouldn’t do it. I had them take the stuff off and give me the coupons back. I guess that’s what happens when you run into a different store b/c it happens to be near another errand.

    • susie

Hi Jenny…just returned from one of your coupon classes and was very impressed with your delivery. I’m trying to convince my friends it is so worth it to use coupons and I refer everybody I know to your site. You have been a Godsend to me, as I am a widowed single mom and I need to save pennies everywhere possible.
Thank you for all your hard work…and I too, love love love the shopping list feature!
      Blessings to you and yours!

    • Couponpearl

Wow. HT Rocks, Triple Coupons Rock, SoutherSavers Rocks!! Very new to couponing! $90 worth of groceries at HT on St Simons, $15.50 OUT OF POCKET. I am definitly hooked to couponing now. The St Simons HT scanned and took everything I had. Well stocked store. AWESOME couponing experience!

    • Never lived near a HT but going to Hilton Head this weekend and there is a HT there where we do all our shopping. I saw this post today and now I’m so excited! Thanks for all your hard work.

    • LaTasha Ashford

Harris Teeter has Airwick FreshMatic I-Motion Ultra starter kits BOGOF for $13.19. Use two $6 off coupons makes them $0.59 each before tax. I purchased 5 for $5.30 with tax.

    • LaTasha Ashford

I don’t know if this has been said on this site before but I had the coupon for 75 cents off 2 Suave body washes, but it said do not double. The cashier told me that if the coupon says do not double and has a 9 as the first digit on the bar code, it will NOT double. However, if the number is any number other than 9 it will double.

    • LaTasha Ashford (Raleigh, NC)

For coupons that say Do Not Double/Triple….

a Harris Teeter cashier told me if the DND/DNT coupon has a 9 as the first digit on the bar code, then it will NOT double/triple. However, if the code starts with a 5 or any other number it WILL double/triple. If it has a 9 it is coded into the bar code to not double or triple

    • Hard Times

Thank you dearly for all you do in helping us save money when times are the hardest for most of us right now. However, I am amazed at some people that are so addicted to couponing that they have become prisoners in there own home. I clean houses for a living in the Greensboro area and you would not believe how some of my customers are so hooked on couponing that they have literally turned bedrooms, porches, dens, etc. into pantries. I have one customer that has 7 computers just so she can get multiple coupons. Is this not crazy. I have been dusting the same boxes of cereal for over a year. I just think it’s sad that some people on here can’t get product that they probably truly need because of some coupon addicts. Since you are the “queen” and people listen to you, can you post something about only getting enough to carry you through until the next sale. I just hate to see product expire and get thrown out because it was “free or cheap” when there are plenty of people in need right now. I have not one, but several customers that are complete addicts. Afraid if I say something, then I will lose their business that I so desperately need.
      Thank you Jenny.

      • Jenny

        Hard Times,

I’ve actually been working on just that post!! I completely understand.

      • Helping Out

I am sure there are some who go way overboard with coupons. Let me tell you what I do and maybe it will put your mind at ease some. There are things I purchase that are just a few cents or turn out to be free after coupons. A lot of the items we use. Some we don’t. For the deals on things that turn out to be free or close to free, we keep what we know we’ll use soon then divide the rest into multiple bags (like the reusable Bi-Lo shopping bags which you can get for free if you take a survey online). We load the bags up in the van and pass them out to homeless people or those in need. We are living on my husband’s income (have 2 kids) which isn’t much so there would have never been a way for me to give to those in need before. Now that Jenny has shown me how to do it, I can give quite a bit of food away. Hope my story helps!

    • Redd

I love being able to check off selections and print a list. This is great, thanks!

    • Wendy

      September 17th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
      Wendy- #96 & 98,
I want your shopping lists! That is wonderful. Can you post what you bought and the match ups?

Tammy, I can scan my receipts and email them to you if you’d like? I would need your email address.

    • Tammy

      Thanks Wendy- daisy6962@yahoo.com

    • Laura

Tammy, I take it your HT does overages? I’m jealous, wish mine did that!

    • John

Tammy, Thankyou so much for putting out this list. Being a unemployed dad of three I take alot of pride in saving money. I have used your list for about 2 months now and are often confused by your pricing. Most of the time your pricing does not machup with the coupons. The grocery game is a better judge of pricing.

    • Katy

Latasha, do you remember where the $6 off coupon came from. I think I have seen some in my inserts, but can’t remember where.

    • Alicia

I have NEVER had an issue at the HT on Long Point. Everybody seems to trip over themselves to help the customers, and I use almost all DND/DNT coupons from the internet with no issues.

As far as having enough stock, thanks whoever wiped out the Kotex. Really?!

    • Lynn

My HT will double couples that say ‘do not double’ on normal shopping weeks, however, they will not double or triple on the triple coupon week. It doesn’t seem to be up to the cashier. The computer seems to automatically know. My HT does not allow overages either. And normally my coupons (in the Raleigh Durham) area are not as good as the ones metioned here.

    • grnacrz

Bloom here in Greer, SC is tripling this week….Does Bloom have the same prices as HT? I was hoping you would post a Bloom Triples list this week so I would know what I was looking for instead of just going over there with a pile of .75 off Q’s.

      • Jenny

Using this list at Bloom you find almost the same exact deals. This list is based mostly on Harris Teeter regular prices which is going to be the same at Bloom.

    • Phillis

Latasha, thanks for posting the Aiwick deal. I purchased four today today at HT in Nashville. Had to do them in seperate transactions because Nashville HT will only let you use 1 coupon on BOGO deals. Was well worth it.

    • Kathy

First of all, I *love* Southern Savers. It is so much fun to save so much money! :) I really appreciate having the inside track to deals.

I agree with others that I find my trips to HT to be somewhat frustrating. I only go when they have triples. Since I don’t shop there regularly, it’s hard for me to find things. They frequently don’t have the items I have coupons for, and their prices are often higher than listed here (guess I should check their sale paper but I’m lazy). Their prices are so high tripling sometimes still doesn’t make it worthwhile. I say all this just to tell those without an HT in their area… you’re not missing out on as much as it may seem!

Found out after my trip to HT that my Kroger is tripling again… I should’ve just gone there. Next time I will probably just call them to confirm their tripling and skip HT! :)

    • I would like to send coupons to the troops. Can you tell me what categories of coupons are most in demand? Least in demand? I’d prefer sending coupons that will be used.

    • Wendy

I used 20 more coupons and spent about $23 on $80 worth of coupons. My after VIC and coupons came to $28 and I used a $5.00 coupon off of a purchase of $25 dollars.

    • Amber

Can you explain where you get your prices? I am in Charleston, SC and the new HT did not match many of the prices you have listed here – Solo Cups, Reynolds Aluminum Foil. I ended up getting a smaller aluminum foil for free, but the Solo Cups were $3.19, not $2.00 as you have listed.

    • michelle

I just came back from my HT. My total bill was 106.09 less my vic savings of 29.04 less my coupons 56.54 total i paid….20.55. I love my HT!

    • Kathy

Looks like my hard work really paid off today!!
Total before coupons= $67.40, after coupons GRAND TOTAL $0.41!!!!!

Total coupons including a $3.00 off your next order for buying Green Gaint frozen veggies from yesterday! I actually was at $2.41, but had to get a BOGO hersey bar to use it, leaving a total of $0.41.

I did hear that HT is going to start doing Triples, then follow it the next week with Super Doubles!! (heard this at two different stores locations)

    • Dawn

Something very surprising happened to me last night at HT!

I received the $5 discount for the Pillsbury/General Mills promotion but did not have 15 items related to it (from what I could tell).
I had shopped at HT a few nights before and had 7 or 8 items that did fit GM promotion.

Ya’ll probably already know the answer and can enlighten me:
Is it possible that the GM promotion spans over multiple transactions/days?

I also got the #3 catalina for buying lots of GG veggies. I understand that one.

Thank you God! Thank you Southern Savers for your hard work! You’re saving my southern family $ and from having to eat Food Lion generics all the time.

    • Tammy

Dawn, I went to HT yesterday and got the $5.00 off and did not have the 15, don’t know how that happen? But glad for the $5 off. I had total of $180 on 2 different transactions and OOP was total of $60, seems like a lot to me OOP but saving $120 doesn’t sound bad. Got a few things not on sale but wanted to use my coupons to triple.

    • J

HCW does have some posters that say it spans multiple days so it may be true.

    • Thanks for the great match-ups Jenny!
Two more IP coupons/match-ups I found today at my HT store (in Northern VA) were:

Amber – I had the same issue with many of the things on this list. I also seem to be missing the SS 8/23 coupon pack or something. I have one SS 8/23 but there must have been a 2nd one because I don’t have many of the coupons that were listed for it on here. So frustrating.

Michelle – I had that problem with the GM $5 off. I bought Nibblet corn (5 of them) and in the end it would not ring the $5off. AND they tried to tell me that the 3 free did not count towards my 15. So I took 3 more things out of my other order to get the 15 and it STILL did not ring. So they ultimately gave me a $5 coupon for it. THen I went to customer service to talk to them about rain checks and told her the stoy and she gave me $5 cash. I was like………..OK THANKS!! SCORE!!

Does the printable grocery list print really tiny for everyone or is it some setting on my computer?

Had the same problem with the pricing. My guess is that HT’s vary from store to store. Jenny’s prices are almost always diff than mine in Charlotte, but I still love to use the list as a guideline. Alot of times, if it’s not free, it’s only a few cents. Her list is a great resource…I try not to get hung up on the accuracy. Found the same thing with the Solo cups. Our Ht had them for 3.19 too.

After seeing my purchase go from over $17 down to $1.46, the lady behind me in line at Harris Teeter yesterday stepped up to me and said, “Can i ask you what site you get your coupons from?”
      Sharing the wealth! Thanks!

Does anyone know if Harris Teeter will be doing SUPER DOUBLE starting tomorrow

      • Jenny

Super Doubles will start next week from what I have heard.

    • Amy

This week at Harris Teeter I made 4 trips. My grand total was $305.15. I spent $97.50!! So I saved $207.65!!! It was great!! But my HT does not allow overage on their coupons so I lost that…could have gotten that extra bag of rice….
