If I buy 2 of the Franks Redhot sauce (they are 0.72) will my 0.50 coupon triple to the 1.48 of 2 or does it not work like that.

      • Hayleyhemi

My HT wouldn't do that.  They only double/triple the coupon up to the cost of the item, so there is no overage.  So you wouldn't be able to use 1 coupon for 2 products.  You may just want to call and ask to be sure though.

      • martha719

Your coupon will double/triple up to the retail price of the item. I have noticed on occasion the item on sale and it double/tripled up to the retail price which = overage.

    • Rossjulie

      Thank you Jenny!

    • Sarah

If we use the $.75 off 2 Ball Park's, do we have to buy 3 to still get the BOGO?

      • If you buy one, its half price, If you buy two you get 1 for reg price and the other one is “free” (ie it doesn't exist to the computer). So therefore if your Q says buy 2, you actually have to buy 3 on a BOGO to have *purchased* 2. I confirmed this with the manager in Raleigh last shop. Sometimes it is worth it… sometimes NO.

        • Margoren

The policy has changed, ask your manager for a copy or tell them you want to read the NEW policy. Here is from the new policy:
“Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order. For example, then if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is also currently under a “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons. This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.”
I do not know however, if the coupons used on the free items will double or triple or if they will scan at face value.

          • Jcmlcm4

Did these scenarios yesterday and today…..yesterday bought the b2g3f items and used  2 coupons ($1 off when you buy two);today bought bogo milk and used two $1.50 off coupons without problems! Thank Goodness!

          • Carolyn

Their website still shows “We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items.” Is there somewhere official online I can print the new policy from?

            • Margoren

I am not sure. But your store should have the new policy and they should allow you to see it. If you want a copy of the first page that states you can use coupons on free items I can scan it and email it to you.

            • Margoren

              Your store.

          • Kristin

Where did you find this new policy?  Online, it states “We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items”  They just updated it to say we are tripling this week, so I would think the policy was up to date.  (I do hope your policy is accurate!!)

            • Margoren

I have no idea why they have not updated  it online. What I do know is that my store got the new policy from corporate last Saturday. I got a copy of it. This is not a just this store policy. The assistant manager was upset with this change, and I imagine some managers of some stores will too. As I said before you can ask the manager at your store. If he says he doesn't have the new policy then contact corporate. I posted this on Saturday and then someone else posted the same somewhere  in one of the lists here, that the manager had had said it had changed. And a person just few posts below said he(she) tried it with no problems.

      • nancycrom

That really varies by store. At my HT I only have to buy 2. You should check with your HT manager.

    • Caroline

      Thank you!

    • Sarah

Sometimes my coupons are different but my Fig Newton coupon is only for the 10-14oz size.   Bummer for me.

    • Great list! Thanks so much.

    • Bscott16

The Lunchables that are on sale for $1 will not be the ones with fruit, so the coupons won't work for those…the Lunchables with fruit are 6+ ounces, not the 4-ounce ones.

    • Hingleytrio

Do you know what time they actually start tripling? I have a 24 hour store and I asked two managers and they said “technically 7 am”.  Is that just the safe answer or do they really not start until then?

      • css03

Mine is a 24hr and it has always been 7am for the Q's to super double.

        • Rebecca

The manager at my local 24 hr Harris Teeter said midnite, but to come at 1am so the prices ring up right and so the coupons triple, he also said don't worry about it too much because it's “not that big of deal here so there won't be a million people”.  LOL.

      • Dfritz46

Its 7 am. Many women I know start at 6 am and are in line at 7! Way too early for me!

        • JTTLC

I guess I do not really get it.  When you can only triple 20 coupon it really does not make for a HAVE TO trip especially when people go and strip the shelves that early.  I have only shopped at H.T. twice and really liked the store, but they never had what I came for. Sure wish it was more than 20 so the trip would be worth it.

          • mdavis

We are only allowed to use 3 like coupoons there. So one person can not fill their carts with 40 of the same items. I love when they offer triples.

    • Jaylow2631

I wish i knew what time for sure because it seems to me the early bird gets the worm going in late to work so i can get thesse deals guess i will be there at 6 am and hope for the best

      • Emm Plate

I will be there at 6:30am that way I am out the door by little after 7

    • Couponnicki

It is my experience that it starts at 7 am. The early birds do get the worm, but sometimes I wait to go Friday or Saturday SUPER early and they have restocked.

      • Jaylow2631

thanks for that may try then if i dont get all i want in the morning

    • Dfritz46

On the Betty Crocker Brownie Mix and Newmans Salsa….am I just tired or will it be 50 cents and not 1.50?? Maybe I have been looking at coupons for too long today!!

      • Rossjulie

        .50¢ each.

    • nancycrom

The Daisy cottage cheese coupon is also in the June Fitness magazine.

    • nancycrom

Jenny, you have the Silk soy/almond milk at 3.27, but it's on your list #1 at 2.50, which is the price on EL.

    • marygrace

Please somebody help me ?  I don't understand this double or triple coupon days with Harris Teeter ?  So they triple coupons ? double coupons ? how and when ?  Can someone please help ?  I am a single mom with two young children on a very strict budget don't necessarily need to stockpile but would love to take advantage of some great deals.  Thank you…Thank you…Thank you…

      • Beth Hair

Harris Teeter always doubles coupons that are .99 and under.  So a .75 coupon will always double up to $1.50.  When they do Super doubles they will double up coupons 1.98 and under.  So a $1.50 coupon will double up to $3.00.  Starting tomorrow they are tripling coupons .99 and under.  so a .75 coupon will now be $2.25 off.  Hope this helps!!

      • guest

triple..occasionally, double about every 6 weeks or so and double up to 99cents everyday, limit of 20 coupons per day and its tracked throught your vic card..have fun, triples is a blast!!

      • mdavis

starting tomorrow 5/18-5/24, they are tripling coupons. Coupons up to .99 will be tripled( they  will not be giving overages if the if the coupon value exceeds the cost of the ite, the coupon will just make that item free). You are allowed to use 20 coupons  that will be tripled…. Here is where I am not sure and maybe someone else can answer this part for you. If you use over 20 coupons in your transaction, I am not sure if the will double coupons after that or just use them as stated on the coupon. Not sure of that because they double coupons every day up to .99. can someone please ansewer that for her. Thank and happy couponing

        • Jessdare101

They will only double or tripple 20 a day so anything over 20 will not double or tripple

          • mdavis

thank you so much for the clarification.  Lots of luck couponing tomorrow.

        • Stacy419

No they wont double or triple anything after the first 20 coupons. I usually organize my coupons before I get to the register and make it so that I only hand the cashier anything under .99 value , let those be rung, then hand them all of my $1.00 off and up since those wont double right now anyways

    • Rddebruhl

I'm in Asheville, NC. Has Harris Teeter changed their policy on the BOGO deals? The last time I shopped there I was told that I could not use a $/1 for each item, and also if it is a BOGO I can't use a $/2 unless I buy 3 BOGO items. I'm really confused:(

      • Sandy

I went in today and decided to buy spray n wash at B1G1 because it was a better deal to double the 50 cent coupon than to wait for triples at reg price. The cashier told me if I wanted to use both 50 cent coupons I needed to buy 4 items. I took my second coupon back and just got the one doubled.Next time I’ll remember to seperate the B1G1 items so I can use a coupon for each item.If you get the one it will ring at half price.my mistake not to be repeated

      • Margoren

It has changed. Now you can.

      • Beck

My Harris Teeter is like yours in Asheville, and nothing has changed, but some HTs may not be as strict about enforcing the policy, I'm guessing that's why Jenny puts those deals in her list. But I have to exclude those deals on my list, doesn't fly at my HT. Good luck!

      • Margoren

There is a new policy that came out last week. Ask customer service at your store. It states the following:
“Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order. For example, then, if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is also currently under a “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons. This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.”

      • Chele17rene

Hi, I shop there too! I'm gonna ask before I checkout. You might wanna do the same. I just wish EVERY HT had the same RULES!!!! Makes me CRAZY!!! LOL  See ya in the morning!!!!  :))) LOL

    • Valerie Walcott

I'm a newbie, so I thought that you could use other store's manufacturer coupons but that Harris Teeter won't double or triple them.  Some of the deals seem to be using Kroger mailer coupons that are tripled?  Will HT do that?

      • Jtscoupons

if the number on the bottom of the coupon starts with a 5, it will triple.  However some HTs dont take coupons with another company's logo on the coupon

        • Sbigham3

All HT's SHOULD take coupons with another company's logo on it as long as it says “Manufactor's Coupon” somewhere on it. I spoke with HT's customer service just the other day regarding this issue.

          • I argued with my teeter about a coupon that said — “available at target” – they would not take – even though manuf — sometimes they just don't understand their own policies – oh well, win some lose some.  they will not take “competitor” coupons “for a specific” product – my teeter would not take the kroger coupon.

    • guest

My HT is a 24 hr store I was told by someone to be there @ 12 midnite to get the deals but according to ppl on here they are saying it starts @ 7am does anyone know what time it will start?

      • Shannonw1983

the sale starts at 7:00 thats when the computers switch over

      • Couponaddress1922

It starts at 7am on the first day

    • Carrie

My Ball Park Franks all say DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPPLE.

      • Jtscoupons

some HTs double or triple any coupon that starts with a “5” on the barcode.  Others will pay attention and separate the ones out that say do not double or triple.  You can always try it and see.

      • Veronica

Does it have a numer 5 in front of it? If it does it will double anyways!  I use those all the time there.  Unless they changed it again. If it has a 9 in front then it wont double, hope that helps!

    • Stephanieeml

My store here in charleston,sc says it starts at 7am and not midnight

      • guest

        Thank you!!

    • Stephanie

My store in charleston sc says that triples don't start until 7 am

    • Coupons1424

I have 4  $5/1 Similac coupons and  4 $3/1 Similac coupons, expire 5/31. 1st to Email me for my address so you can send a sase and they are yours.  coupons1424@gmail.com

      • Tkg0503

        hi!  I emailed you!

      • Coupons1424

        sorry coupons are now gone.

      • Mctammy322

    • sarahinNC

The  link for the Gorton's q is printing out as $1/2 not .50/1.  Bummer….

      • KT

        yeah, I noticed that, too.

    • sarahinNC

How do the Raisinets come out to 50 cents each?  Wouldnt' it be a lot more than that? Am I not figuring something out right?
      “Raisinettes $2.50
      (use .50/2 makes it 50c each )”

      • Dixoniv2

I noticed the same thing.  Sometimes Jenny turns into a real human and makes a mistake. :)

        • sarahinNC

Thanks.  Just wondered if my eyeballs were crossed, lol!  Indeed, Jenny does a fabulous job…I tell everyone about her and this website!  I'm very grateful.

      • Tee

The 3.5 oz box of Raisinetes is $`1.35, so with the $0.50 coupon, you could get each box for $0.60.

    • Jed0917

If you printed off the Heinz coupons Jenny featured about 1 month ago, they will work for the $2.00 Heinz listen above.  Free Ketchup.  My coupons expire tomorrow…..

    • guest

Hi! Could someone help me out? If I have a manu. coupon for $1 off can I also use a $2 off peelie on the  item too? Please help!

      • Heather

No….the peelies are a manufacturer coupon. Only 1 man Q per item.

        • guest

          Thank you!

      • Tkburns

typically the peelies are also man. coupons and can't be used with another.  The only exception I can think of is when they mark items down with those blue and yellow $ off stickers.  Then you could still use a man. coupon.

        • guest

          Thank you!

      • Joy

No. Only one coupon per item.

        • guest

If HT is having B1G1, (i didn't mean I have a B1G1 coupon) I should be able to use 2 coupons of $ off.

          • Rhiannon353

HT only allows 1 coupon on B1G1 sale items.  It's in the policy.

            • racecitymj

That changes starting tomorrow!!! I saw the policy change memo today!! :))))

            • Margoren

That's correct everyone. There is a NEW policy. No you can use coupons on free items. And my store started complying with the new policy last Saturday.

            • oh wow – that's terrible — so the work around is to only buy one b1g1 in a transaction w/1 coupon and come back the next day and buy the other b1g1 w/another coupon (that is if u really want 2 items).  what a pain.
the good news is the price is discounted regardless if u buy just one or 2 – unless that has changed and it better not because all the other grocers i go to work that way too.

            • Margoren

No need to do that any more. You can now use coupons on free items.

    • Traceykennethcrum

If an item is $1 and you use a 50 cent coupon and triple it, do you get a 50 cent overage or does it just triple to the price of item?

      • Maria

The computers are set up to only go up to the price of the item, so you will get it free, but no overage.

      • Heather

It triples just to the price of the item….no overages =(

      • Joy

        No overage.

    • singlewoman26

I have the Oscar Mayer, Biltmore, and others up on Ebay if you need more coupons. I am based out of Raleigh NC. user name singlewoman26.

    • Michelletraxler

if you coupon says do not double, will they still tripple it??? :)

      • Margoren

At my store they won't. New corporate policy says no.

      • They used to double but some do not – the ones that spit out of machines in the isles or at the register no longer double – so sad.

    • Mara

My mother and I are both going in the morning… I have a VIC card, but she doesn't. Will her coupons triple, too, or is it a VIC-only deal?? Please let me know! Thanks. <3

      • Tkburns

You have to have a VIC card to get the sale prices and to triple.  It doesn't take that long to get one at the service desk.

    • Couponcrazy1123

Is the parenthesis price the sale price?

    • Rachael

I am having a hard time figuring out why the Newman's Own salsa coupon wont be tripled?  On the internet coupon it does not say do not double or triple and it starts with a 5.  Can someone help me?  Please please

      • Marycansave

I believe it was mismarked.  Later on in the list, she has it with the tripled price.

    • Marycansave

I'm curious as to where you got the $4.35 price for the similac.  It's not showing up as that price on expresslane.

      • Guest

I checked ExpressLane for my store and the ONLY one that shows up at this price is the Similac Infant FormulaSensitive R.S. with Iron. 1 Quart32.00 fl oz

    • guest

I have another  ? If HT has a B1G1 on an item can I use 2 coupons for each item? Thanks in advanced:)

      • Margoren

New policy says so. Online policy has not been updated. Make sure you ask customer service for the new policy. If not then call corporate. This is what the new policy says:
“Effective immediately, we will accept 1 coupon for any item that the customer purchases with their order. For example, then if a customer purchases 3 of the same item because they have 3 coupons and that item is also currently under a “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” deal, we will honor the deal and the coupons. This is also true, then, for BOGO deals.”

        • guest

          Thank you!!!

        • Guest

FINALLY!  HT was the only grocery store in my area that wouldn’t do this, now they’re getting with the program!  THANK YOU HARRIS TEETER!

      • Redchrisco

B1G1..your allowed to use 2 coupons for a B1G1 transaction, because you are purchasing two item (even though one is free) your allowed to use 1 coupon per item, which means 2 coupons for B1G1

        • guest

          Thank you so much!!

    • racecitymj

GREAT NEWS!!!!!~as of tomorrow you will be able to use “2” coupons on BOGO deals!!!! I was told (& she even showed me the memo) today at HT that the policy on only using one coupon for a BOGO deal goes away tomorrow!! YIPPY!!!

      • Margoren

Yes, that's what I have been trying to tell everyone here. LOL. But I think some people are having doubts because the online policy has not been updated.

        • Angel

It was not working completely in the system yet as of this mornng.  Worked fine for the Franks hot sauce but not for the Colgate toothpaste.

    • Dan

When do the triple coupon deals start?  I usually do my shopping late at night due to work, so will the tripling start after midnight if I go to a 24 hour HT?

      • guest

7 am for  24 hr store.

      • PamperedKate

I called my 24-hour store and they said it was 8am, not 7am.  I plan to get there by 7am though to get everything in the cart, and check out right at 8!

    • Charity Hand

That LA Looks gel also has a $1 off coupon. I used it tonight. I think I got it from June All You.

    • AmyQ.

My tummy is doing backflips! I'm so excited!! I think my husband is so ready to have me out of the house by now! Thank you Jenny! I plan on making multiple trips this week at my HT! =)

      • Tyedyemomma

My entire family is rolling their eyes at me at this point

    • Dtester60

I'm new to the area, and was wondering if you have to have a VIC-card to get your coupons tripled.

      • couponer**

        • Dtester60

      • Frannie_28080

Yes you do a VIC card, good luck.

        • Dtester60

Thank you. I have a lot to learn here. LOL

    • Alleykatwill

Can you use internet coupons the same way that use coupons from the paper? The policy says “With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day.” Does that mean I can only use two internet coupons for the entire order or if I get three ball park hot dog packages,  I can only use two internet coupons and not three?

      • Margoren

New policy says you can now use 3 “like” print at home coupons.

        • Margoren

It has not been updated online, I don't think. The service desk at your store should have a copy of the new policy. This particular part is found on page 2 of the new policy.

    • couponer**

I have not seen these on the list, so I appologize in advance if I am repeating, but I just wanted to let everyone know:

Cookie Crisp, Fiber One Cereals, and Multigrain Cheerios have a .75q out (Honeynut Cheerios has a .55q) after being tripled and combined with the EVIC coupon you can load onto your card, they will be:

      Cookie Crisp — $3.85 – .75 (*3), – .75 (e-vic) = .85
      Multigrain Cheerios — $3.99 -.75 (*3), – .75(evic) = .99
      Honeynut Cheerios — $3.69 -.55(*3), -.55(evic) = 1.49 (could be better, I know)
      Fiber One — $4.45 -.75 (*3), -.75 (evic) = 1.45

These aren't on sale, obviously, but after q's, still a good deal!!!

      • savinmavin

Buy 4 General Mills cereal ge $4 off next purchase, there are signs at my store but did not print so the cashier wrote ma a $4 raincheck.

    • Seriously? 2 Q's on BOGOS', finally? Jesus must be on his way…

    • Lowc1984

Ok I have a question on Margarat Holmes canned veg./peanut says after I use the .35/1 I can get it for free, but when I looked at the coupon it says that it is not subject to doubling???  Am I wrong  is their another coupon I don't't know about.

      • KS

That's the coupon.  A lot of DNDs are in the match ups because some stores will still double/triple them.  Not my store though…

        • anninnc

I was wondering about that , the ball park franks also say DND or DNT  ???? Will HT still triple?

          • Margoren

I doubt it. But I think the Ball Park printables do no say “do not double”

      • paravel43

I didn't realize the coupon said that. I just used 2 for the boiled peanuts and they tripled.

    • wendyndean

if i have a coupon for $1.00 off will it triple?? or double?

      • anninnc

I'm not postive but since it is over .99 cents it will not triple or double.

      • Teresa

Neither they will honor it for $1.. They will triple coupons up to .98 only sorry.

    • karen

great – going in at 6 am!

    • Jaylow2631

on my way hope i do good thanks Jenny for all your hard work

    • Samantha

Just confirmed at my HT the new BOGO coupon policy. It still states in the posted coupon policy that they only accept 1 coupon but when I asked for a copy of the most recent it states that they will accept a coupon for each item purchased, with the 3 like coupon limits.

      • paravel43

I did it today and it worked. I was redeeming a rain check for a BOGO item, but I bought 2 and used 2 coupons no problem. I asked the cashier about a new coupon policy and she said she had no idea there was one and went as far as saying there is not. I live in eastern NC.

        • Christi

My store had copies of the policy at each register for you to see and take if you wanted, with changes in BOLD, and that was one of them!!!  A coupon for every item, even with a BOGO.  I had to dig for a couple to add in!

          • Margoren

Great!! The way it should be.

      • Marlene

I went to HT this morning and said to the cashier “I checked them they're all in date, none of them say 'do not double' and i've only used one for the buy one get one deals' and the CSM said they have now changed their policy and will accept a coupon for each BOGO item.  But I would check with your store because the policy online is not updated and some stores enforce policies differently.

      • Amanda

I just went this morning and the computer wouldn't allow it :(  Maybe it'll take a day or two for everyone to update.

      • Mojojess3

My checker said that if you buy 2 products (as in BOGO) then you can use 2 coupons. I got my italian ices free!

        • Jessica's Mom

My HT will not allow you to use 2 coupons on a BOGO deal.  I tried it this morning but they would take only one coupon.  Bummer, but I still had a failry good trip.  Before coupon total was $49.70- after coupons- $5.00 even.  Not bad! Our store is getting VERY strict on coupons.  They check them all before they ever start ringing up your groceries and do not bag anything until they have scanned all of the q's so they can see what you purchased.

    • Srreynolds

Are the unadvertising sales marked as “on sale” on the shelves (but not in the flyer)?  I was worried that I'd try to get some of these items on sale and then they not ring up as sale items when it is time to pay.

      • Guest

They will be marked on the shelf.

    • Luvnlife3

      this is very helpful

    • Nicole Nickle7

I went at 7:30 a.m. and there was already some stuff that was gone! Crazy! I still got some really good deals though. Thanks Jenny!

      • stacey

what city are you in and what things are out.  I want to prepare myself so i dont get my hopes up :/

        • cs

I know in ft mill sc they are out of the frenchs honey mustard dipping sauce, almost out of the spicy mustard and out of the frenchs regular mustard

          • Mojojess3

Indian Land is out of the Frenchs mustards too, and I went to the one on Ardrey Kell and they were almost out of the mustards.

            • Srgordon

Hickory is out of Honey Mustard dipping sauce and Texas Pete :( and Tetley tea bags and lucky I found a stocker who stocked the mustard asle before I left got worchester sauce and spicy mustard:)

            • Srgordon

Honey Mustard sauce on sale at Lowes Food for $1.99 and the Worchester sauce is also on sale I think I saw $1.09 so if you wouldn't mind paying a little extra than go to Lowes Food if Harris Teeter is out

    • Nekekami

just came back from wonderful trip, except that the self check out did not tripleonlt DOUBLED.  i knew my $$ was about $10 more, but i couldnt figure it out. got my recipt and took several minutes for me to realizeized that it didnt triple none of my 20 coupons, so told casher and she manually add it up and gave me back my money which included some overage..

      • miena

It looks like my coupons only doubled also. In my receipt says Multiplied coupon (1.50) for a .75 scanned q., (0.60) for a 0.30 scanned coupon and so on. Did your receipt look like mine?

If your receipt shows -.75 and then -1.50 it tripled.  If it doubled it would show -.75 and -.75.  3 X 75 = 150 + 75 = 225.  Get it?  I would bet yours tripled as your receipt sounds like mine.

      • Guest

All of the register systems are linked into the same system and should function the same whether they are regular or self-checkout.  Are you SURE your coupons didn't triple?  Your receipt should show the amount of the scanned coupon (face value) and then it should show the amount that was multplied and added to the face value.  So for a $0.75 coupon, you would see 1 line where it scanned at 0.75 and then another line showing 1.50 – that's the amount that HT took off in addition to the original 0.75, so those 2 amounts together add up to the tripled amount.

    • Amy V

I just reviewed my receipt too and looks like the coupons only doubled also…..

      • savinmavin

If you look at your receipt it will show the coupon amount then it will say doubled, this means  that you got the coupons amount plus that amount doubled, which is tripled.

    • Cthom618

To get the e-vic manager's specials, I thought you had to go through the email sent to you and then load the coupons. But the coupons don't match up to the specials. So I DON'T need e-vic coupons for those?

      • Amelia

The e-vic SPECIALS are just special promotions (like regular vic specials, but only for e-vic customers, not everyone). There is no coupon, it is automatically on your card. E-vic coupons you have to manually add.

        • Cthom618

          Thank you!!

    • Diana

There's also a BOGO e-vic for the Nabisco Fruit Thins. They are on sale for BOGO, and there was $1 off Q's last weekend. Not sure how that whole scenario will work out.

    • stacey

Anyone try the Wisk catalina yet?

      • Amelia

Did not print out. Guess that promotion is over.

        • Srgordon

It printed for the lady infront of me didn't need any wash det. got mine at rite aid for .97 and used a $2 off from last week and got four bottles for $2.50

      • Ashlee

        Didn't print for me either!

      • Sundaydrive00

Nope, didn't print :(  Thankfully I had already read these comments before going shopping so it wasn't as much of a disappointment.

    • LadySiren

FYI: I took the time out the other day to send a short thank you note to HT. I just let them know why I like shopping at their stores (better range of products, clean, etc.) and how much I truly appreciate the value I'm getting because of their coupon policies.

Today, I got a nice note back from one of their corporate customer service managers, letting me know that they really enjoyed seeing a note from a happy shopper and that he was passing it on to the marketing team.

If you find that you have a few spare minutes, I'd urge everyone to do the same – if HT sees that they've got happy shoppers who love to shop at their stores because they are very good to couponers (I mean, hey – they don't HAVE to do doubles, super doubles, or triples), it might mean that we see them become even more coupon friendly.

That being said…I can't get to HT until Friday. I'm jealous of y'all who get to go today and tomorrow. :(

    • savinmavin

First Triple ever got $78 for only $1.13. Had some coupons that were $1.00 and 20 triples. Can't wait to go tomorrow. Check your evic coupons offering some free items, like Ziploc bags and Ritz crackerfuls.

      • veronica

How did you do that, with only 20 coupons?  did you have to do different transactions for like items?

      • Carolinablueyes84

I’d like to know how you did it too. What’d you buy?

    • LadySiren

Jenny or anyone else – do you have suggestions or scenarios for the $10 WYB $25 in Energizer products cat? The ad shows batteries, shaving cream, and suntan lotion. I have no idea which products Energizer makes. Thanks!

      • Sundaydrive00

I've been trying to come up with a scenerio based on the picture, but I wasn't sure  if its only the exact products listed or if it is all of a certain brand. Like the Banana Boat, it pictures the Banana Boat Sport, but can I get Banana Boat tanning oil or even just the non sport?

      • Pegmo

I can't directly answer your question, but I'll pass along a warning:  Don't make the mistake I did today.  I didn't notice until after checkout (when I DID NOT get a $10 Catalina) that this deal doesn't start until 5/22. ARRGGGH!  For what it's worth, I assumed everything pictured was in the deal, so I used up my only coupons for the things I bought today (2 Schick Intuition & 1 Banana Boat Active Dry.)  But at least each of those things was on sale today, so it could have been worse!

        • Sundaydrive00

Good to know. Although I was going to wait until Sunday or Monday for this deal since I wanted to use the skintimate coupon that is going to be in this Sunday's paper.

    • JamieLeigh26

I'm sure many of you long-time HT shoppers know this, but I just found out today that your E-VIC card keeps track of that 20 coupon limit.  I had a couple extra coupons to go with my 20, and the register will not double/triple them for the rest of the day.  I wonder if they've always done that, or if this is a new computer policy.

      • Margoren

This happened to me about 10 weeks ago (I miscounted and had 21) and 1 did not double. However the service desk lady doubled it for me. It it nothing new.

        • Electricblueslady

wait a minute, so your saying that even with the 'everyday' doubling, the computer will only actually double 20 coupons? I go in with 40 or 50 coupons sometmes but I guess I never have paid attention or been able to understand whether or not they ALL double???

          • Sundaydrive00

Yeah even on a normal week  they'll only double up to 20 per day. If you have 40+ coupons you want to use it is best to spread them out over a few days. Unless you have some that are over 99 cents, then those don't count in your 20 coupons.

          • Guest

Yes, the register systems have been doing this for quite a long time now.  The system keeps track of your 20 coupons, and once you hit 20 multiplied coupons it will start taking them for only face value for the rest of the day.

    • Dawngtobin

does anyone know how the ecoupons work?  I loaded some yesterday and spoke with the manager and he said that it would come off automatically and would not count as the 20 coupons per day nor would it triple however I'm not seeing the ecoupon being taken off at all on my receipt

      • cs

if you are sure its loaded on your card go to customer service and take your receipt and show them where you bought something and they can look it up and give you a refund. I have a problem all the time with them not taking them off. Its a little wacky and very specific with the items about taking it off.

      • Sewobsessed

If you just set up your account yesterday, it takes about a week to work…

    • Emily

Think Thin protein bars are on sale 3/$5, and with a $.50 coupon, they come out to $.16 each.  Here’s the link to the coupon:  http://www.thinkproducts.com/2011/store/coupons-promotions

    • Curldean44

Went to the store in Woodbridge, VA.  Northland Dark Juices are on sale for $2.19.  There is a $1.00 off coupon hanging on each container.  Makes a really good deal for $1.19.

    • Curldean44

    • Mom2kids_06

Just to let you know that at my ht the hormel chili make sure you grab the one WITH beans I did not and I paid five more dollars than I should have : (

    • Kcreviews

I had a good trip this morning at 8:30am. I got $180 worth of stuff for just under $63. The only reason my bill was even that high was because I bought a Boston Butt that was $8 and 3 P.F. Chang's meals which added up to $21. So my other 40 items (with 19 tripled q's and 3 reg q's) was only $34.

      • Alinecoupons

That is awesome!!! it's so addicting,

    • Vlwallac

Did anyone note if the Eggo waffles with fiber were included in the $2 promotion?

      • They weren't included :(

      • Emhcoupon

        they are not :(

      • Meredithholman

      • Jugifam

Yes I was just there and they are 2 for $4.00 I am in NC

        • Sbigham3

Im in NC too and they are not on sale here. More like $3 per box.

      • Ehdaley

Not at the HT is NC I go to, it is in the triad area.

    • Kbuck2003

I have a question. If i use an eVic coupon and a manufacturers coupon under .99 (both on the same item), will my manufactures coupon still triple?

      • Sundaydrive00

Yes, it will triple up to the amount of the item. I'm not sure if it will triple to the original price of the item or the item's new price after the e-vic…

    • Marycansave

Today was my best shopping trip to date.  I ended up with a negative balance.  After tax, my total was 9 cents.  whee!

    • Romeoandzeus

I'm new at couponing so go easy on me lol… I have a question. How can I buy multiples of the same item with coupons? Is it allowed?

Example: Ketchup is on sale for $1 and I have a $1 off coupon. Let's say I wanted to “stock up” on this deal, and get 5 bottles of ketchup, would it be possible to use 5 $1 off coupons at checkout? I always thought that wasn't possible with manufacturer coupons. I'm confused

      • CS

You can buy up to 3 with the same identical coupon. If you have 2 internet coupons and 3 newspaper coupons, you could buy 5.

        • Lauramatt123

Why does everybody think this??? Even the managers don't read.   This is straight from their policy:

We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value. Like items include all flavors.

So, if you have 5 like coupons for .50, the first 3 will double/triple, the next 2 are at face value.     If you have 7 coupons for a like item for 1.00 off, they have to take all 7.   I pointed this out to a manager this morning and he couldn't believe he had never read this sentence correctly.  Hold them to their policy!  They wrote it!

      • Alinecoupons

and you can go back on the next day and get more, if it's convenient for you.

    • Lauren

Just went to my store in Brentwood (near Nashville, TN) alot of the items were low/gone like French's mustard and worsch. sauce but still got several deals. I did not see any of the coupons listed as “on product” on any of the products in my store like the Milano cookies and BumbleBee chicken, can someone please help answer that? Also, do you know if they restock the empty shelves during these triple weeks? Thanks!

      • Lauren

did anyone else have any luck finding the coupons “on product” ? I am new, so maybe I am misunderstabnding but I didn't see any coupons listed that were actually on the porduct.thanks!

        • Couponworld

Differnt stores and regions have different q's on product or it could have been from a previous week where they already had a coupon and did not want to use the one on the productt. For example if during super dbls week you have a $1/one but there is a .50/1 q on the product you would use the $1/one but save the other for triples,

          • Tyedyemomma

I was at the same store and i noticed a lot of the things were not on sale there either.  I bought them thinking they had not been marked yet (that happens).  The Milano cookies were not on sale.  The cereal sales didn't match up either.  But the sales are regional.

      • Barbara

They do restock. I usually wait until the end of the sale to shop since I have to travel over 20 miles to my nearest HT. You can call your store and find out when they get a truck and unload it.

    • Emckenzie24

If you use an evic coupon and a paper coupon together, will they still triple the paper coupon?

      • Wilsonsj

My understanding is that they will triple the paper coupon, but the evic coupons do not double or triple

        • luiza

          That's correct.

      • Kfrugalt

No. Once the evic coupon is used.  Your paper coupon is redeemed at face value.  The evic coupons are good for things you don't have a paper coupon for since they are usually for the same amout off and regualar coupons will double or triple.

        • xseannax

Your paper coupon will triple, and it also takes off the evic coupons.  For example, for Always pads there is an evic coupon for $0.50, and a paper coupon for $0.50.  The price is $2.50, minus evic puts it at $2.00, minus the tripled paper coupon puts the price down to $0.50.

    • Crystalmajors101

I started clipping coupons 2 weeks ago.  I am new to this and it is a bit overwhelming.  I went to HT this morning and got $78 for $41.  I am realizing that I still could be saving more, although I am excitied that I still saved!!!  My question is where can I find coupons.  So far, I have just been using printables from the internet..but lots of things I want to buy , I did not have  coupons for..Thanks

      • Zinniasgive

I order a lot through ebay (in lots of 10 or 20 depending on each listing) and there are also clipping service websites out there as well that you pay per coupon (around$0.08 per coupon). Hope that helps! Great job on your savings!!

      • Arvinamy

Keep collecting your Sunday coupon inserts and you'll have a big pile in no time!

    • Angela

Hi.  Wanted to let you know about some deals that I got — I really love when people post things I haven't thought of — the Haribo candy is sale for .89, so if you printed the 30 cent coupon, it is free.  The Nestle morsels are 3.19 each but there is a .75/2 coupon that triples to 2.25 and and evic for .75 and a saving star for .50, so it is a good deal for me.   The go-gurt is 2 for $5 and there is a .75/2 coupon for that plus an evic for .75 — I had actually saved the evic coupon 3 times (sometimes I get multiples of the same coupon) and it took off all 3!  Smart balance peanut butter is 2.99 and there is a .75 coupon for that too which makes the peanut butter .74. Spent 25.50 and saved 52.40.

    • TheBachelor

HT unadvertised deal this week that I noticed:  Gillette Clinical strength Men's Deoderant/anti per. is on VIC special for $5.99 (normally $8.99).  This is not listed on the mailer (online VIC email) but it is on the HT store shopping website (online shopping).  I have several $2 off coupons for this, making it $3.99 each which is an awesome deal- lowest I've seen the clinical strength for.  Example, the 1.7oz size at Walmart is $6.97, so $4.97 with coupon, so HT is still about a dollar less!

    • Kristin

I am new at this. I am assuming that things that were on the  lists for Harris Teeter yesturday but not there now like the ken's salad dressing, cressant rolls, cinnamon rolls and pepridge farm cookies are not on sale anyone since I didnt see a sale sign.. is that correct? can anyone confirm this?? Thanks so much.

    • yv123

HT in Steele Creek Charlotte was out of most sale items by 9::30 a.m., many stretches of empty shelves throughout the store already.  The manager walked around with me and shortly there were HT people crowding the aisles restocking those items they did have.  Out completely, waiting for new truck:  mustards, Mahatma rice 16 oz.white, many cereals, toothbrushes, toothpastes, BBQ sauce, milano melts (the sale was not continued, so reg price this week)

They did restock on the Luigi italian ices, but people had already gotten evic cards for family members and were shopping in groups with separate orders to stock up.

I spent 87.48 before evic card/62.26 after card, paid $24.02 after coupons.  Could have done more if they had stock on items.

    • singlewoman26

I have one set left up on Ebay of the $.75 Mccormick Seasoning if anyone is interested. I am based out of Raleigh NC just so you can estimate delivery time. Buy tonight and they will mail tomorrow. My user name is singlewoman26. 100% positive feedback

    • Amelia

This was my first triple coupon experience and I'm pleased. $150.90 worth of stuff for $41.40. I could have done better, but I stocked up on Special K meal bars. I love those things and at $2.90/box, I bought 4 boxes!

    • Srgordon

Honey Mustard sauce on sale at Lowes Food for $1.99 and the Worchester sauce is also on sale I think I saw $1.09 so if you wouldn't mind paying a little extra than go to Lowes Food if Harris Teeter is out

    • First triple coupon shopping trip.  Before Coupons – $249.85 – After Coupons – $79.19. A savings of $170.66 (70%)!!!

My favorite savings of the week:

      Cookie Crisp @ 2.85 each.

      Coupons (3) x $.75 each – $2.25 off each box = $.60 each

Then Cheerios Multigrain Cereal @2.99 (after VIC savings)

      Coupon for $.75 each
      – $2.25 off each box = $.74 per box.

      I got three boxes of Cookie Crisp @ $.60 each = $1.80

I got one box of Cheerios Multigrain for $.74

Harris Teeter has a $4.00 off at the end of the transaction
for 4 boxes of General Mills Cereal.

      Total in Cereal – $2.54

General Mills Cereal Coupon – $4.00

      Credit of $1.46!!!!

      • Hilary

i'm not seeing the cheerios on sale? and where did you get the $0.75 q for them???

        • MomOf4

It's an eVic coupon, so not everyone may be able to get it.  There were also eVics off of the Cookie Crisp, Golden grahams and Fiber One cereals.

        • I got it a while back through smart source and held onto it. The cookie crisp was the same.

      • couponer**

None of those cereals are on sale at my HT… :(

    • Jen

Just went to HT here in Herndon, VA.  Spent about $25 for $85 of stuff (a lot of sauces, salad dressings, rice, etc).  They had everything I was looking for except the French's Worcestershire.  I may go back later in the week and spend more time browsing with my coupons.  Even stuff not on sale could be a great deal with some of my coupons that are expiring soon.

      • Exactly. We found great deals that would make some every day items 1/3 of the price. Have fun!

    • Nikki

Wait, wait, wait…for the Margaret Holmes canned veggies, the 35 cents off coupons states “not subject to doubling” on it…so how does that make the 65-cent canned veggies free when it's still only 35 cents off?

      • JL

        Some HT's dbl dnd

      • Amelia

Most of the time they will still double and triple the “do not double” coupons. They always have for mine.

      • Blueeyezz0379

i used this coupon today..it worked!

      • Amyjmcc90

My cashier told me they are really cracking down on the q's that state “not to be doubled”.  I had a couple in my stack today and I asked her what would happen if she scanned them (I knew that technically they would triple) and she said she'd have to call a manager to override the triple to just give me face value.  Needless to say I took back my q's.  :)

        • Traceykennethcrum

          it depends on the cashier

    • zhuzhu

Don't forget about the “moments to save” insert in the 5/1 paper, for Pepsi/Lipton products. I was able to use the Lipton $2 off Q on the B2G3 pepsi 12 packs for $11.98 and found some peelies on the crush flavors. Making the purchase total $6.98 for (5) 12 pks. That comes out to $1.40 per 12 pack!

      Total Sale price $190.47
TOTAL oop after Q's and eVic $68.63
*I did have a few extras that were not coupon sale items, like org. milk and baby products so I am sure my true Q savings is a little better thank 68.63!

    • Sundaydrive00

Although I wasn't buying any of the BOGO sales items, my HT had a big
sign on the door stating that you could only use one coupon per bogo
item. I thought they had changed that policy starting this week. Did
only some stores change their coupon policy?

      • AmyQ

I looked at the coupon policy yesterday before leaving for my trip – if you click on the coupon policy link posted on this page at the top right of the screen it will bring you to the HT policy – it no longer says aynthing about BOGO items. So they did seem to eliminate that rule. However, the policy doesnt say that you can use 2 on BOGO, so you might have to argue a bit. Yesterday at my Winston Salem NC store, i tried to purchase 3 colgates and the register beeped my third coupon. The cashier said that bc it was BOGO that I was only technically buying 2 toothpastes so that's why it wouldnt take the 3rd coupon. Well, technically, they all ring up half price, so I was only buying 1 1/2 toothpastes, but it just doesnt make sinse. So i told her to take off the last one, then she offered to run the toothpaste seperately after my order was complete. The coupon worked that time, which makes no sinse again bc i only bought 1/2 a toothpaste (according to price). Maybe they're having to work out register bugs after changing their policy back…?

    • Shannonw1983

Went to ht this am was there by 8:00 and they were out of everything except for few bottles of kraft bbq sauce, wasn't able to get everything i wanted but did 15.00 and saved 50.00. will go back on sunday with qs from sunday paper and hope to get a few more things plus we get our truck on sat night

      • Kplemmons07

just got back from my local harris teeter here in asheville nc, and i must say it was a very sad sight.  I absolutely understand getting a good deal and saving money!  However I feel that greed and hoarding has taken over the art of couponing, and believe me after talking to the manager there, changes are coming to the coupon world.  This is for the simple fact that there average shoppers cant even go into the store and complete there normal shopping.  There is no reason for for someone to buy 20 things of toothpaste or chili sauce ” WHICH REALLY ISNT THAT GOOD ANYWAY”.  Im all up for large families and even smaller ones beingg thrifty, but you ladies that are out there stockpiling like the world is coming to an end remember there are other people out there not just you and your coupon binder, and your greed will lead to stricter rules on everyone.

        • Carolina Coupon Mom

I also think it's important to have perspective.  This was the first day and there hasn't been triple coupons in most markets in a long time.  Everyone is/was excited.  Everyone needs to take a deep breath and go another day in order to give the store a chance to restock and perhaps try going in the morning not the evening.  I hope things work out for you!

        • Kim Q

Harris Teeter does limit you to 3 of a like item to try to prevent hoarding.   Harris Teeter should stock up on things they know will be free.   They know what coupons are out there.     It's like saying at Christmas time – Walmart has a 60 inch TV for $250 and have 1 in stock.    whatever.     they are a grocery store and should try to have a decent amount of stock on hand!!!!

        • Couponsavvy

I have been couponing for several months and doing very well at HT, and also CVS and Walgreens.  I dont understand all the talk of hoarding.  All these stores have coupon policies, you cant buy more than 3 items at a time the same.  We all know the Extreme Couponing isnt real.  Those people are getting special permission to make those transactions.  Also HT only doubles 20 coupons per day per household. All that said there are more people couponing, so if there are 21 bottles of texas pete and 7 people get their 3 bottle limit which is their right they are out.  If you wanna coupon get out there early, I do.

        • Carolinablueyes84

I felt the same way. But more people are couponing with the state of the economy. And if you live in a large city, well…And today was the first day I got up at 6 am to go. Me and my 13 month old were at HT at 7. If you can't beat em, join em!

          • Carolinablueyes84

But I only got 1 of everything on my list ;)

        • Nita Royal

AMEN!!!  Just look at how many people are on here bragging about using multiple cards, or getting a coupon that works on the wrong product.  It seems as though people are willing to trade their ethics and integrity for a free bottle of hot sauce.

    • Guest

I'm new to couponing. So if I am an e-vic member, I can put a coupon on my harristeeter card and get 0.60 cents off two Toaster Strudels. Then can I also us a printed coupon for 0.75 off two Toaster Strudels. Would my printed coupon triple this week also?

Pretty good deal on Pantene shampoo..on sale for 2/$7..use the $3/2 and evic coupon $3/2..and youre walking out with 2 products for $.50 each!  I found this to be a good deal on Pantene :)

Went this afternoon and got $138 for $28!  There was some worcestershire sauce on the shelves but I left it.  I noticed the sale goes through 5/31 and the price was $3/3.  With a $0.75 coupon, that will still be free after triples ends so I wanted to use my 20 coupon limit for other things.  I figure they'll restock sometime before 5/31.  I was lucky – they had everything on my list.  However, I noticed the Smart Balance popcorn was BOGO at $3.29, which made it free with a coupon.  I didn't see this on any of the lists, but maybe I missed it.

      • Merrijg24

I will have to check out the popcorn deal. I didnt bother looking this trip, will look tomorrow. I did get the smart balance peanut butter it was on sale for 2.99.

    • Vhallsey1

First time coupon user purchased $86.03 for $47.11 = $40.95 FREE FOOD!!!

    • Goodkristen

Anyone know of a website where there is an open forum for trading (free) coupons…I know on ebay you can purchase, but I am cutting around 20 inserts a week and would rather trade for coupons I need.  That being said…anyone need huggies coupons and maybe willing to trade for softsoap coupons or special k fruit crisp bars coupons???? email goodkristen@gmail.com

      • Carolinablueyes84

        I would!

        • check out my facebook page it is Moola Saving Mom on facebook- there is a discussion tab where people can trade coupons.  I have used it many times and everyone is nice and we mail fast!

      • Angelas001

Check out the Coupon Traders right here on Jenny's site!! I think most people don't realize it's there. The big button for it is right above Jenny's picture at the bottom of every page.

    • Pachick

went to ht early, manager around 8 annouces only 1 order per shopping cart per person, if you had card for someone else that person had to be in store. I later corrected him showing the ad said one per household, but he stood firm. also had 3 coupons for 50 cents on 3 cans of texas pete chili.  brought 9 cans, would only take 1 coupon. he said it wouldn't take them because i had to many cans. very firm and wouldnn't try to correct or listen. the cashier knew i was doing the correct thing, but he was the manger.  This was in rocky mount nc. any one else having problems. do you think i should call coporate.

      • Mimiyogurt

do you really need 9 cans of texas pete chilli?

        • Ardnasfu82

Hm, rude much, Mimi? Yes Pachick, in the event you have trouble, even if there are ten people in line behind you, I would suggest that you tell them that's fine if HE doesn't want to accept your coupons, and then make him take off (in this case) all 9 cans and return your 3 coupons- at the same time- pull out your pen and paper (preferrably on a print out of the coupon policy) to write down his name, title, and date/time as you ask for corporate's number (even though we can find it on our own.) He may decide it's not worth it and that he'll know you mean business. If he still persists- and you end up leaving the store unsatisfied, then follow up with a call/email to corporate. You weren't doing anything wrong!!! Hell, I was going to get that many too- afterall, cans are made for stocking pantries!!!

      • AmyQ

Ouch… the texas pete thing isnt right – the policy clearly states that they will take up to 3 of each kind of coupon (non-printable) and so you should have been able to buy 9 cans total with your coupons. I would definitely contact corporate just to clarify and give you some ammo – if you're able to go back to that store, take the corporate reply with you and tell the manager that next time you'll use his name when contacting corporate if he wants to keep making up his own coupon rules.

    • Chloe's mom

i used the coupons for the ball park deli beef hot dogs and they worked and trippled just fine…score….i was there bright and early and stuff was gone…i was a little surprised….this is my first tripple event but…having said that i did notice a ton of palettes on the floor still waiting to be unloading so hoping there is enough to go around for everyone…good luck ladies…

      • Saveingmoney

We are not all ladies… ;-)  lol

        • Chloe's mom

          and gents….lol

    • Maddie

Help! I'm new to this. What will HT do with $1 coupons? Will they double to $2.98?

      • Bscott16

During triples, only coupons less than $1 will triple. Anything $1 and over will scan like regular. During Super Doubles, they will double coupons with a face value up to $1.98.

    • Curveygurl

I went thru line twice (one card of mine and one of my husbands). Two different cashiers. These women checked each coupon and if it stated “no doubling or tripling” they only went for face value! One even brought the manager over to put those coupons in by hand!!! I've never had this happen at any other store! They just scan them and go!!  I did do well, however, over $200 of groceries, for $83. That's the 2 transactions combined.  I would have done better if ALL my coupons had been tripled and not just face value!!

      • I've heard of this happening at some HT's here on SS and that's why I asked a cashier before I even began my trip.

      • Margoren

Is each person in a household allowed a VIC card? Or is it one card per household? I really thought it was one per household, Am I wrong?

        • DianaY19

I'm pretty sure it's one per household (or at least should be).  I think it's very greedy to have more than one card per household.  What's to stop someone from getting 10 per house ..just make up some names.   I think too many take advantage of this “loop hole” or even make excuses by saying that one card is their elderly parents who can't shop for themselves, but again , how would the cashier know.

          • Nita Royal

Yup, and the sad part is that I really DO shop for my elderly mother, but with all of the cheats out there, I'm too paranoid to get a card for her.

          • Margoren

I wonder how they do it. They asked for my drivers license when I got mine, so I don't think I could get one for my pet cat, can I? LOL I don't know but I have 5 kids and a husband and we do just fine following all the rules. We never get to stockpile but we just eat whatever we get that week for cheap or free. And we have a pretty good diet. I cannot complain!

      • Nita Royal

Well, it's nice that they at lease enforced ONE rule, since the policy is one card per household.

    • Vlwallac

not sure if e-vic coupons are regional… but in NC i have an e-vic coupon for $2 off Tampax pearl, + the $2 P&G coupon 5/1.  Also an e-vic coupon for pampers wipes that helps knock some change off that deal as well.

      • Karichie3

My Harris Teeter in NC had Tampax Pearl SuperPlus 18 count tampons on
sale for $2.50.  I also had an eVic coupon (-1.00) AND a $1.00 paper
coupon so that made them 50 cents!!!

    • Pachick

in reply to mimiyourt:  The coupon was buy 3 cans of Texas pete chili get 50 cent off. I was using the coupon correctly. and yes i do need that many for a graduation cookout. at ht you may use 3 alike coupons.

    • Couponmary

I went in HT today, they were wiped out. Everything I wanted was gone!!! The only thing I got was some paper plates for .20! ( Great Deal!!)! Im going to try again tomorrow!! One of the workers told me that they will have a truck coming in.

      • Nita Royal

The downside of this great website is that we must expect every good deal posted here will be wiped out in the first hour.  My first opportunity to go was at lunchtime. Of course, the best deals were wiped out, but there were a bunch of people in there with their SS printed shopping lists, griping each time they found another empty shelf. The cashier said that there was a wave of people at 6AM, all starting to check out at 7.  Unfortunately, that's when I must start work.

So I'll presume no chance of finding the deals here, but will make it my challenge to find other items – things I need more than hot sauce and frozen ices.

Every 5 minutes, they were making announcements:  “One transaction per customer, no matter how many VIC cards you have, or how many people you're shopping for.” (Translation: “We're on to you scammers, and we won't allow you to be total hogs today!)   It was funny to watch all the people with 2 carts (each holding just a few items) when the announcement would come on.  They would stop and put their items in one cart, and start putting items back on the shelves. Amazing.

        • Carolina Coupon Mom

I think it's GREAT that they made that announcement!

      • LA

I don't think it is right to have two cards per household as their policy is one per household. I know someone that picked all of the items early yesterday and saved one buggy full of stuff at the front, and her husband picked the items up later that evening. I was really surprised that the store let her do that. She had items on “hold” that were sold out when other people shopped later that day.

    • Stacy419

how strict is the per day for up to 20 doubling? Does this mean within a 24 hour period or at the 12:00 am mark each day? anyone know?

      • EB

I am pretty sure it is every 24 hours. I used to think it was every calendar day, but tried to go one morning after I had gone the night before and was told I had already used my 20 for that day.

    • jaybird

I could not even find a spot for the french fried onions. ?

      • Jkuecu

es, i'm wondering where to find these in the store!  anyone know?

        • Vlwallac

they're on the aisle with canned vegetables.  they were on the top shelf at both my stores, but they were also out!!  so look for a blank spot on the shelf. :)

          • jaybird

I looked everywhere down that aisle. I even looked for a bare spot on the shelf just so I would know where to look. I'll look again. Thanks! :)

            • Erica

They were above the canned beans at my store, a little further down the aisle than the regular canned vegetables. At least that's where the empty spot was anyway.

      • Kelli

They are usually on the top shelf by the vegetables on aisle 1.

    • Carolinablueyes84

At my HT in Charleston, SC I couldn't find any French's Honey Mustard. But there was a reg French's Mustard attached to a free Honey Mustard and my honey mustard coupon worked on it! Yay!

    • Raynesmw

Hoping someone can help w/ this. I am puzzled. My mom is disabled, and she got a vic card. She used my phone number b/c she didn't want to give out her cell number. She got her card, and I have mine. I used my card one day (like two weeks ago) and I used her card like on a Sat for her. On her receipt, it printed the same running totals for my year to date savings. Could this be b/c of the phone number. The vic numbers are different. I am afraid that I will not be able to use her card for her if I use my card and meet my 20 limit. Has anyone had experience w/ this? Like I said 2 different vic numbers, but totaling similar on the bottom.

      • Tkburns

I was told that if there are 2 accounts that share an address or a phone number that eventually they link the 2 together as a household and so it could possibly affect your 20 limit.  I would call and ask someone to clarify.

      • EB

Harris Teeter limits vic cards to one per household and they will combine any cards that they believe are the same household. They definitely automatically combine cards that have the same phone number and ones that have the same address. I have heard that they even try to combine ones that regularly use the same credit card to pay – they are trying to stop people abusing the system by having several cards. Your mom would have to get a card with a different phone number in order for you to both use 20 coupons because right now they think your two different cards are one household. I would talk to customer service and see if they can change the phone number and separate your two cards.

      • Cindyrella

It’s probably linked to your card since she used your phone number. My husband & I both have cards, but they linked them, which makes that between the 2 of us, we still can only do 20 coupons per day that multiply.

2 weeks ago, I was shopping for a friend at HT who’d been in an accident (after I had done my own shopping.). I asked one of the managers if she could check to see if she’s an eVIC customer.  She needed the Tide and I thought I’d buy that on my card if she’s not, since I didn’t need it. She couldn’t do that for privacy reasons, which I understand.  But she proceeded to ask me if I’d already gone through with 20 coupons. (I had)  She said, “Then we won’t be able to take your coupons on this order.  One person is not allowed to shop with more than 20 coupons no matter who they’re shopping for.”  !!!  I had my daughter w/ me who hadn’t shopped, so I got her to check out, but they acted as though they were bending the rules by letting her do that!  She said they’re really cracking down on that and showed me a printout of someone who’d come in several times in one day, using 20 coupons each time. (and they doubled each time!)  All in all, it was an unpleasant experience, and I felt like had barely escaped being a criminal. lol

I do think it’s going too far if we can’t shop for shut-ins, etc on the same day we shop for ourselves.

    • lala

I just got back from ht and they were out of almost everything I went for!!! I'm not too happy bc I drove 40 mins to get there…..oh well

      • Lissamath

Same deal at my HT….every item that I had a coupon for was GONE! I hope they re-stock for tomorrow. :-)

      • Sos109

Everything in my store in Charleston was gone too. So frustrating!

    • Diana

My store was pretty picked over in the sauces aisle, but whatever. We don't need anymore, so I just kept on cruising through. Got a great deal on Fruit Snacks (Betty Crocker brand). On sale 2/$4, had 2  $0.50 Q's, and a $0.50 e-vic Q, then they had a promotion running for $4 off your order for buying 4 boxes. So total cost was $0.50 for 4 boxes of fruit snacks! Total before Q's and a $10 recyclebank Q was $104.41, OOP cost was $17.62.   83% savings getting mostly needed food and a few extras that I didn't have Q's for.

      • Kmc

Fruit snacks were not on sale at my HT.  Will try again later this week.

        • Carolina Coupon Mom

They aren't on sale, but there's an e-vic and paper coupon available and you get $4 off your order if you purchase 4 boxes.

          • Cheryl

Is the e-vic coupon automatically on your card or do you have to go online and load it?

          • Diana

It must be my store then, because they definitely rang up $2 each before discounts

      • Xraychik512

How do you know about the $4 of 4 of the fruit snacks? I can't find anything about it, but its a deal if so.

      • Erica

How did your recyclebank coupon work. Was it a $10 off $40 purchase? Does it have to be before coupon or after coupons total of $40? I have 2 and have not tried to use them yet. Do they scan at the registers?

        • Mary

I used my recyclebank coupon with no problems. I did put it on the top of my coupons to scan first while my total was above $50, but after all coupons my total was $18.

    • Sundaydrive00

I must be lucky with my store. I went around 2.30pm, and got everything I wanted on my list! Of course I know if I wait till tomorrow or Friday to go, then they will be out of everything.

    • Pennylimbaker

If I used 20 coupons today at HT at 3pm.  Do I have to wait til after 3pm tomorrow to be able to do 20 coupons again or is just past midnight it resets?

      • Jessweety429

Nope! It starts over at Midnight:o)

    • PDL

I went to HT and used 20 coupons today at 3pm.  Do I have to wait until after 3pm tomorrow to use 20 coupons again or does it reset at midnight?

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

No, you can go at midnight.

        • zhuzhu

I tried this once going at 10:00 pm Wed. night then going back around 12:30 am on Thurs. It would not double. I had to wait a 24 hour period.

      • EB

I was just told at the store that it is 24 hours from when you last used your card – not midnight. I do not know if this is regional or not, but that is how it is in my town.

      • Bthomas19861

Yes, only 20 coupons a day

        • Mela1055

Only 20 coupons will triple….. you can still bring more in but they will only go to face value.
I went today and had 20 that needed tripling and about 20 that were all $1 off

      • mamabelbel

I have gone in the evening and then returned in the morning with no issue.  It seems to reset at midnight or something.  This is how it worked for me in NC anyway.

    • Hebkram

THANK YOU to the generous, thoughtful person who left a CountryCrock coupon hidden between the tubs for someone's use. This time I was the “someone” who needed a coupon and I found it right before giving up and walking away. It is an amazing feeling.

      • Melinda

I found a coupon I could use today as well, tucked right next to the product I needed.  So to pay it forward I left a store coupon for cereal on the cereal shelf.  Hopefully someone who has a manf. coupon can use the store coupon for a nice savings.

    • Danielle

I have 4 of the $5 similac coupons- I live in Mt Pleasant and am going to the Six Mile store tomorrow morning around 7:30- if you want them, you can either meet me there or I will leave them on the shelf with the similac

      • Fairye

Hey, I would LOVE to have those similac coupons!  would you be willing to mail them to me!!!????  thank you!

        • Jodi

What insert and sate are they from? You can have mine if I have them.

          • Jodi

            Oops I meant “date”

    • ButterflyNC

Does the Chinet .55 off casual plates coupon work for the plates that are on sale? Thats the only chinet coupon I see out or am I missing something?

      • AmyQ

I used this coupon for the plates that were on sale. I didnt notice that “casuals” were a different type of plate until someone else mentioned it. I did work for me, not that it's right or good to do so. =)

      • Diana

I got a $1/1 Chinet coupon in my email yesterday. So I just used that since my HT doesn't have the Chinet Casuals. Not free, but not a bad deal either.

    • Angelas001

I'm pretty new to Harris Teeter, and this is the first time I'm really trying to use the eVIC coupons. Help me out, how will this work for these items:

      Mach3/Sensor3 razors
$3/2 eVIC coupon – will this work since I'm getting one free with other coupon?
      B1G1 free manufacturers coupon

      B1G1 eVIC coupon
$1.50/1 manufacturers coupon – can I use two of these, since one is free with other coupon?

Thanks in advance for helping me figure out how their digital work with paper coupons. :)

      • Marlene

The evic digital coupon comes off at the register in addition to any paper coupons.  You can use digital and evic together – just make sure your total doesn't go under $0.
So yes you can combine these coupons and yes you can use 2 coupons for 2 of the crackerfulls and then it will also take off the regular price of one of the crackers for the evic coupons.

      • Sundaydrive00

My HT wouldn't let me use 2 coupons with a b1g1 evic coupon last week. They claimed that since the price was already free, that there would be nothing to take off since they don't do overage.

        • Diana

It worked for me yesterday. I had an evic for BOGO Lunchables, and then I had 2 $1 off Q's. So I paid $1.50 for both.

      • Angelas001

Thanks! Another scenerio- what about another eCoupon with an eVIC coupon? I have one of each for $1.50 Oral-b Advantage toothbrush, they're on sale for 2.79. Would both work if the price was over $3? But since the two combined exceed the price, what will happen?
Geez, I thought I had coupons figured out but now I feel new again :)

    • Eab73091

I have a question. Did anyone else notice that on the Kraft Barbeque sauce it specifies sizes 28 oz and 40 oz? I have been to Kroger and Harris Teeter and both stores carry only 18 oz bottles. Is it a typo? Have the coupons worked for anyone? I'm in Durham, NC.

      • Jodi

I noticed the same thing. I assume we can't use that coupon.

        • Traceykennethcrum

          I used it at walmart

          • Srgordon

            How much did you pay

      • Victoria

It's free at Bilo this week – and you can print their brand challenge coupon and get that for free toooooo!

      • Ice Queen

I am in SC and bought both sizes yesterday,

        • Guest

Where did you find the coupon?

      • TrishaMarie

I actually gave that one to the cashier by accident and afterward remembered I had the wrong size, but it worked, so there ya go! :)

    • Ruopen98

Ok, I have never shopped at Harris Teeter before but this sale really peaks my interest.  If I walk into HT, will they issue me an evic card or do I have to do that by mail or internet before I go?  I was also wondering if anyone in the Nashville area could tell me the best HT to go to in the Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin area?  I live in Murfreesboro and I don 't want to waste the gas if I'm not going to find any of the items I want! Thank  you ahead of time for any information!

      • Amanda_vols

You can sign up for one in the store and use it right away.  I have found the Harris Teeter on 21st Ave. (Green Hills area) to be the best.  Some of the others will not allow you to use coupons that say do not double or triple.

        • Tiffany

I have been to Belle Meade HT, Brentwood HT, and 21st Ave. HT.  All of them are cleared out for the free deals.  It is hit or miss for the other things.  I'm hoping to try once more this weekend in case they restocked.  Hope this helps!

      • Guest

Yes, the one in Green Hills is a good one to go to as they will double the ones that don't say DND or triple.  I have found that this store is a little smaller and doesn't carry as much as the Brentwood and Westhaven stores.  Also, the best times that I've found to go are Saturday mornings when it seems all the shelves have been restocked. I generally get the best customer service from the Green Hills and Westhaven stores as they don't hassle you about your coupons.  Hope that helps.

      • Cheryl

I love shopping at the Franklin H.T. I have always had good luck there, and the staff is friendly.

      • Melissa

Thank you all for your help! Ya'll have been very helpful!!!

      • Loves2save

Hi, I am traveling to an area that had a Harris Teeter this weekend, so I called the company. You can receive your evic card at the store and use it right away. I wish we had one where I live.

      • BrandyL

IF they have them in stock…..

      • awalk

You can get a VIC card the EVIC comes into play when you register on line to recieve their Email special. There are a few EVIC deals and the rest you can get just by being a VIC customer.  Get your card today and register online then you will be able to get EVIC specials next week, however you can get the VIC sales today with VIC card.  You may want to call and see when your store restocks.  All the free items and really good deals are few.

      • Susan3son1

Unfortunately, I don't think that it would be worth your while to drive to the Nashville area for the sale unless you arrive at 7:00 am on the starting day of the sale.  I live in Brentwood and can usually get there fairly early but if not, I prefer not to go. I spent 4 hours today(Thurs) getting coupons ready and came home with only 3 items as they were out of everything and do not restock very qwell at all during this multiple discount coupon weeks.,  Sorry to burst your bubble, but just save your gas and shop at home where you can count on the stock being there.

      • JDH

I prefer the one on 21st.  Most of the cashiers don't appear to be rude to coupon ladies (guys).

    • Cddasher012

My harris teeter will give a raincheck for the evic items if I show them the bottom of my receipt where it shows I have that offer and have not used it yet.

I'm eager to participate in couponing…..but I hit the BRICK WALL when it comes to printing printables.  Any advice?

      • Becky

If I have a 0.50/1 coupon for Mrs. Dash and a $1 off beef WYB Mrs. Dash, then how many Mrs. Dash do I need to purchase?  I thought that it was one Mrs. Dash and the beef, but had trouble using both coupons today.  After I questioned the cashier, the manager gave me the $1 off, but made me feel like I was doing something wrong.  Just want to know if I interpretted these coupons incorrectly…

      • TrishaMarie

With 2 different coupons, you'd need 2 products, right? I had both of these too. Regular Mrs. Dash is on sale for $2.49 so I got it for .99 with my .50 tripled coupon. Save your $1 coupon (since it doesn't get any bigger) for WalMart! :)

      • AmyQ

Hi Diane! I disagree with TrishaMarie – if I'm understanding your question, you should be able to use both of your coupons WYB only ONE Mrs Dash because the second coupon is off of beef, not the Dash. So therefore, you can use the .50/1 and the $1.00 beef at the same time just by buying one Mrs Dash and some fresh beef.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me! I believe this is correct though. I used a $2.00/1 Head and Shoulders Shampoo and then used a coupon for a free H&S Conditioner WYB the shampoo. So i believe this is the same concept.

        • Imirish505

Your correct Amy ~ one coupon is on the purchase of the product the other coupon is a result from that purchase regardless of the purchase price ~~ you can use both coupons and purchase 1-Mrs. Dash.

          • EB

This is how I would interpret it also, but you will notice that the first numbers on the coupons are the same, which means it is instructing the computer to match both up to  the Ms. Dash. Therefore, you are sure to make the computer beep and it depends on how the cashier interprets the coupon if they will push it through. I find that this is the case with most of the coupons that are like this and give you money off produce or meat or something – they are coded to match the product you are supposed to buy and thus cause a hassle if you want to use a different coupon on the one you buy. The example of shampoo and conditioner above would have the code for the conditioner on the one for the free conditioner and that is why it goes through without beeping.

Did anyone find this: -.75/1 Panko bread crumbs, on product .
I looked everywhere on the product, but didn't find it, so I didn't buy it :)

      • Amelia

I could not find it either. Sad… That stuff is so expensive and I love it.

      • Emhcoupon

No but I just printed a .55 off ANY kikkoman product and they make bread crumbs so the cost is .54!! I printed from smart source.

        • Guest

Thanks for the tip Emhcoupon :) just printed mine

      • Imirish505

Panko Bread Crumbs should be on the top shelf in your baking isle (near the Shake N Bake) or with your International Foods 3-4 shelves up from the floor.  That's for  most HT stores.

        • Guest

@Imirish, thanks, But I meant I couldn't find the coupon on the product :)

    • DianaY19

Help keep triples coming…. I emailed HT about 2 months ago and told them I really wished they would bring back triples (now that they have I like to think I had a little something to do with it.  I got a response saying they would forward my email to the marketing dept.)  Now that we have triples, I just send an email saying “thank you”.  If everyone would take a minute to do the same, hopefully they'll keep doing them.

    • The Heluva Good q I had in my SS 05/15 was .55/1, just a heads up for anyone going for this deal. It's actually better than 50/1 or $1/2 for triples!

    • kw

I'm having a problem when I click CREATE LIST…my computer just makes a beeping noise.  !!!  help

      • AmyQ

Hi KW! It looks like you've got pop-ups disabled. Jenny has her list set up to pop up in another window whenever you create your shopping list to print. Therefore, you're going to have to disable your pop-up blocker (should be a bar towards the top of your screen that you can click on) and then click on the create list again, and you will be able to view your list and then print! =) Good luck! Hope this helps!

    • Srreynolds

My husband dropped by HT for a few things today since I'm working.  He walked out with six containers of yogurt and French's dipping sauce and only paid 6 cents.  I think I've convinced him the time I'm spending on couponing is paying off.  Free breakfast for the next six days is going to taste pretty good!

    • Diana

Found a great deal at my HT in Surf City on Butterball Turkey Suasage. Price was $3.99, had a store Q (markdown) for $1.50 off, then I had $0.75 Q's I got from a dispenser in the HT in Wake Forest last weekend. So I paid $0.75 total for 3 boxes. Awesome deal on a meat product!

I put them in the freezer, and have a very happy husband who will have plenty of breakfast for the next few weeks.

    • Jlaleonard

The Purina busy Bone dog treats are Free with a .99/1 printable coupon I had.

    • Kimberly

Did the Oscar Meyer coupons work on the specified items for anyone? When I went into my harris teeter the bigger lunchaebles were not on sale. Only the smaller lunchaebles with crackers, cheese and like meat in it where 10 for 10 the Sandwich and Fruit lunchaebles were regular price. So not sure how the printable coupon would work.

      • Amelia

I have gotten 4 of those this week and all of my $1 off coupons have worked. I think the coupons were for the ones with fruit, but they weren't on sale so I just got the $1 ones which were free after coupon.

        • Sundaydrive00

You do know that is coupon fraud, right?

          • couponbarbie

Is there a law regarding coupons? if so can you direct us to the website so that we can determine what is fraud or not? Thanks

            • Anonymous

Yes, it is against state and federal laws to misuse coupons. Coupon fraud is dealt with by the FTC and the CIC. According to the CIC coupon fraud occurs whenever someone intentionally uses a coupon for a
product that he/she has NOT purchased or otherwise fails to satisfy the
              terms and conditions for redemption.

I recommend you looking at the Southern Savers page about Coupon Fraud. http://www.southernsavers.com/2010/01/spotting-coupon-fraud/

            • Sundaydrive00

Yes, coupons are regulated by both state and federal laws. They are regulated by the FTC, with help from the CIC. The CIC states that coupon fraud occurs whenever someone intentionally uses a coupon for a
product that he/she has NOT purchased or otherwise fails to satisfy the
              terms and conditions for redemption.

I recommend you looking up the Southern Savers page on coupon fraud.

            • coupon Barbie

While I hear what you are saying…. why then would southernsavers post the coupon for lunchables with fruit as a coupon to use with the lunchables that are on sale? Just scroll up on this page and you will see that it must be acceptable or I'm sure that it wouldn't be posted like that.

            • Sundaydrive00

Because Jenny posts these before the sale starts. She has no way of knowing exactly which lunchables are going to be included in the sale, just that its a sale on lunchable combinations.

            • EB

I imagine that Jenny uses a computer program and the database to make the matchups – otherwise no one person could manually do it all. Since both are “lunchables” the computer would list them as a match. It is up to us couponers to notice the few times a listing of a sale product does not exactly match up with the size/flavor of the coupon we have. Jenny can't be perfect.

    • ButterflyNC

Hey everyone! Just got back from HT in Charlotte they had everything I wanted today! I was surprised normally they are out and it seems like when its gone they don't restock.
      Here is what I got:

      2 kraft salad dressing
      2 newmans own salsa
      2 grande chips
      2 yoplait kids
      1 spicy mustard
      1 kikkoman soy sauce
      1 dozen eggs
      2 tortinos party pizza
      2 trop 50 juice
2 uncle bens whole grain white rice
      1 dole parfait
      1 dole crisp
1 paseo 12 pack toilet paper

total before coupons was 47 something cant remember exact

out of pocket 9.65 so I was happy!

    • Jenn

This must be “participating” Harris Teeters only because when I shopped this AM with coupons that weren't more than 99 cents off, they were only doubled.  I was kind of bummed because the tripling was the only reason that I stopped there.

      • Angel_in_Charleston

Did you ask? It was supposed to be everywhere!

      • Nekekami

go back and bring ur reciept that happen to me the first day, it was a computer error. go get ur money back. they had to give me $12 back, which included overage

      • Imirish505

Your store ad will tell you and you will see signs in the store for triples or doubles… the system is not perfect so always check your receipts… customer service will give you a refund if something did not double, but you should do it while your still in the location ~~ that way they can pull the coupons and make sure they get programmed correctly for the next person.

    • Nita Royal

Just back from my store (Rocky Mount, NC), where all of the deals here are still wiped out.  The store looked like it hasn't been restocked after the initial pack of hungry wolves attacked on Wednesday, LOL.

However, I did leave a lot of coupons that I won't use or which are expiring soon.  Many in the drink/snack section in the back left of the store.  Also quite a few for yogurt, so if you're going anyway, just check, since I put them with the products in a lot of aisles.

      • Pachick

i was in store about 10 to 11 and the store had products on shelf that were the good deals, sometimes you need to ask them to check back of store, alot of the good deals had very little shelf space, i was there wednesday morning and it was not alot of people compare to friday. remember some of the coupons you had to buy 2 or 3 to use coupon. i also leave coupons on shelf, not just ht, hoping it can help out people.

      • Tlcmccoy

I heard from a store employee that they retocke on Tuesday evening because Wednesday is Senior Citizen day and they restocked on Fiday night for Saturday shoppers.

        • Imirish505

Every store restocks on different schedules… just ask the grocery manager when they get their trucks at that store and then plan your shopping accordingly.  FYI: stores even on the same stretch of road do not always have the same truck schedule…. so it is Better to ASK than come into an empty store… also most stores are open 24 hours so you could be crazy and get in there at 5:00 am if you want to really stock up on the under $1.00 after coupon items which are the quickest to go.

      • luiza

That was kind of you. I wish I lived nearby, I did not have a single coupon for yoghurt this time…

      • guest

A “pack of wolves attacked”. Pretty strong sentiment. At my HT ion wednesday morning at 0700 it was packed, and the popular items were gone in minutes. 30 people purchasing 3 items each does clear the shelves. they followed the rules. how does this make them a “pack of wolves”?
The negativity on this website from posters is alarming. Simple – follow the rules, if you get the deasl you want, great. if someone arrived at the store before you did that is the way it is. Do you expect people to NOT shop at 7am?

        • Um0415

I don't think she meant it in a malicious way.  I think it was more of a joke…lighten up!

          • AmyQ

            I agree with Um. =)

            • Imirish505

Empty shelves are your friends ~~ get a rain check, they never expire and you can use them when the best coupons match to them to get them free later.  I have a seperate binder just for rain checks.

        • Pirate!!!

She's probably a Carolina fan. Hence, the State “pack of wolves” reference. LOL

I can't believe anyone would take offense!!!

        • Nita Royal

No offense intended. . . thought “LOL” would make that clear!

      • mightymousemom

Try to enjoy couponing.  i went to HT on Wednesday at 11:00 am only to find most of the shelves cleared on the items I wanted.   My bad, I went a little to late, as I generally try and go around 9am after I drop my kids at school.  Did some shopping on what I could get and went back the next morning and found the shelves restocked.  I don't like cleared shelves either, but it is first come first serve, the early bird gets the worm sort of thing…..but I promise you, I do not loose sleep or get mad if I miss a deal….not worth the stress.  If you get there in time and prepared, gets your deals with ethics, dignity and enjoyment, otherwise don't sweat it

    • Vlove1973

Just wondering…can my husband and I have separate VIC accounts?

      • Vlwallac

sure.  it's frowned upon by the majority of the couponing population, but you can do it.

        • Um0415

why would it be frowned upon?  I coupon and I think it's a great idea.  If you have two different addresses, for example if you own 2 properties then go for it

          • Vlwallac

oh i have a card for each me and my husband, but i know *technically* i shouldn't because we are in the same house.  you can just make up an address or use a prior address… people do move, so i don't think there's any truth to the “1 per address” theory.

            • guest

It is not fair to the couponers who are following the store's policy. It is cheating the system and probably one of the reasons stores are having to change their policies.

            • Christina

You are the type of couponer that most of wish were not shopping in our stores.  We all want deals.  I like to think I'm playing fair with one card and saving deals for fellow couponers.

      • Sm1day

no! we did, and our second transaction did not double any coupons, i sins for my disabled mother, and do not consider what i was trying t
o do as taking advantage of the system, and they told me that even if you have different store cards, you can only use one of them for doubling or triple per day…one round per household or address. so i guess you could each have different accounts but it won't do any good!

        • Sm1day

          shop, silly auto correct.

      • If ANY of the information on each card is the same they will be linked.  They updated their system to catch this.

    • shopping mama

I am fairly new to the coupon world but thought I would give it a try at HT this week with triple coupon deals.  I had 20 coupons – a couple which I thought I had put on my evic card.  I checked out – gave the cashier my vic card then coupons.  she scanned all coupons and gave me my total.  It was a little more than I had thought it would be but did not hold up the line to study the receipt.  when I got home I looked over my receipt to see that 20 coupons had scanned but only 5 had tripled.  Can someone tell me what I moght have done wrong ?

      • Vlwallac

they have to be $.99 or less in order to triple.  e-vic coupons do not double or triple.  if the bar code on the coupon starts with a “9” it will not double or triple. if it starts with a “5”, it will.

        • B20l24

Have you used any coupons before your shopping trip? If so, you would have to wait 24 another hours before you can use another 20 coupons that will double/triple. For example, if I went to HT with 5 coupons at 2pm and then shopped again the next morning with 20 more coupons before 2pm, only 15 of the coupons will be doubled/trippled.

        • B20l24

sorry, I just replied to the wrong person.

Harris Teeter will not allow a household to have more than one vic card number,  you can not have one, husband have a different one, kids have one, visiting grandparents have one.  If the store managers/customer service people see that you have more than one account they can and will look up the numbers and link the accounts effectively disabling you from having two accounts.  However if you use one card at one location and the other card at the other location is it not as likely you will be detected.  They have caught on to many people who try to skirt the system by having multiple vic numbers through the use of old/additional/mobile telephone numbers, so do not be alarmed if they politely explain that your not permitted to have more than One (1) vic account.  Most of the Harris Teeter Employees are couponers themselves so they know how customers will try to skirt they system… As a former employee I would always be amused at the people who just would only shop at one location and then act surprised when they were caught for skirting the system.  There are plenty of stores to shop in so you do not need to deceive just one set of employees.  Their system does not really track to see if you shop miltiple locations in the same day…. the people are the ones who notice you not the computers.

    • MustangLadyred

I must say that I was rather disappointed with Harris Teeter this time around.  I made a special trip to Charlottesville, Va (live an hour away) just for the triple coupon deals.  We both walked away with so many fewer items than we wanted because they were out of stock at both Harris Teeters!!

      • EB

If you are coming from the west, you should go to the one in 250 near Crozet – they don't seem to run out of things as fast as the other Charlottesville area stores.

    • Karichie3

Don't forget to check today's paper for some coupons you can use for triples :)  I forgot about a coupon I had for Bounty napkins ($0.25 off + there was an e-Vic coupon I loaded too) so I got a pack of these for $0.99!!!  Also from today's paper, there is a great Heinz ketchup coupon (which makes the 20oz bottle $0.37) and a fairly good deal on Helmanns mayo.  Another coupon from today was the Breakstone double cottage cheese coupon: $0.43 for THREE!   Also, ZONE bar ended up being FREE.  M&M's coupon: I got 2 bigger packs by the checkout for $0.75 (not great but I gotta have something sweet and I love them).  AND I finally got a Betty Crocker Supreme brownie mix that was on the list from this past week.  My Harris Teeter had restocked on most triples deals (but not all – mustard was still gone).  Thanks as always Jenny!!!

    • CCShad

You can get the Degree deodorant for free if you also sign up for the EVIC coupon, .75/1
Cheap candy if you use the .50/2 Nestle single candy bar from SS 5/1

    • Melissa

Are any of the coupons from this past Sunday good for any triples deals?

      • OH yes there are 3 freebies and BUNCHES of good deals.  Click my name and it will take you to the list I put up- it's too long to post here- I went through EACH and every coupon in the inserts

      • Samantha

I had to email them twice and finally they sent me an email back saying they had automaticaly signed me up since I was having such a problem. They said I should be receiving evic emails starting wed since it was like Thurs when they e-mailed me back. The frist time they told me to get a new card all together and that still didnt work. Idk what problems they are having but it was a hassle

      • mdavis

don't add the last number on your card…if that doesn't work call them.. they are people friendly in customer service.

    • Nita Royal

last minute find:  Krunchers Kettle Cooked potato chips are $2.50, and I found .75 coupons in my binder – sorry I don't know where they came from.  The shelf was full, so I figured no one must have noticed this deal yet, LOL.  Otherwise my poor store looked a bit like a war zone, with half the shelves empty.  But even so, I got $45.86 in groceries for $9.34, so still a pretty good trip!

      • luiza

You are not the only one to have noticed this great deal, we managed a few packs of chips for our family as well. Well done!
