    • Kim Thmsn

Does the sale really start tomorrow 1/4 as it says in the post….or the normal Wednesday, which would be 1/5?

      • Carolinablueyes84

I just called my local HT and they told me sale starts Wednesday 1/5 but yu may want to call yours. Im in Charleston, SC

      • sorry I'm living a day ahead in my mind. I'll fix it :)

      • Nonotme32

        weds Kim

    • Sarah

Hmm. I work @ a Harris Teeter, and we've been told that it's Triple Coupons starting Wednesday, not Super Doubles…

      • Sillysnicks

OMG which one is it? I would love triples but have been planning for doubles!

        • Sarah

          Fort Mill, SC

          • Amy

Please tell me it's triples @ Fort mill…I would make the drive for that. I too have seen the ad (Charlotte area) and it says SUPER DOUBLES.

            • Sarah

I'll check when I go to work tomorrow (we usually get a preview the day before) & if it IS triples, will let you know!

            • Courtney

oh please do, thats the one I go to and never have had a triple, on triples do they triple 1.98 or less? or just the 99 and less ones??

            • Jeri

              Only triple up to .99

            • Laura

But there are sooo many better coupons to use on Triples. I save so much more money when its Triples, which is maybe why Teeter doesn't do it anymore…

            • Laura

Haha, I would also drive down to Fort Mill for Triples.

        • Ctkearns

it normally depends on teh store i know one of the stores in NC did triples for a month but my store hasnt done them in 6 months or so ! i was told by my harris teeter that it is SD this week

      • heather

I saw the front page of the ad on another site and it said Super Doubles.

        • Sarah

OK, cool. We could definitely have been told the wrong thing, or maybe our store is doing something different.

      • Nonotme32

        It's super doubles in Nc

    • Erin

any clue how much the B1G2 chicken is per pound?

      • Elizabeth

Usually its 2.99 a pound which is WAY too much for me normally but B1G2 at that price I think I can handle

        • Chrstyamyrs

I'm half tempted to check out their chicken when I go.

      • Paige

Last time they had it when I bought the B1G2, it was 4.99 a lb. making it 1.66 a lb.

    • ryaloo

Hi Ladies. There is a coupon on the old orchard website for BOGO ( you have to register and send an e card) on the Healthy Balance Juice. If I am doing this right that would mean 5 Juices for the price of one! :) Happy Super Doubles!

      • Amy

HT does not take free item printables per their coupon policy.

      • ASage

My HT will take the B1G1 free coupon. I was able to print 2.

    • Ericnjennymorales

      What's triple coupons?

      • Triples is where they will triple the face value of the coupon (so if it is a 25 cent coupon then it would take off 75 cents). That is NOT what they are doing this week but they are doubling coupons with a face value up to 1.98

    • Carolinablueyes84

In Charleston, SC there was a coupon (1/02) for $1 off 2 V8 Splash beverages, so they would only be $1.50 each…

    • Sheila

I need some clarification. If I buy 1 of the Finish Dishwashing tabs then it will ring up at 2.24 and I can use my coupon for $2.25 off so it will be free. But if I buy 2 of the tabs and use my $2.25 coupon they will end up costing me 1.13 each?

      • Carolinablueyes84

Basically, you will get both and pay for one so you could say that

      • Jen

I have looked 3 times and I can't find this coupon in my inserts???

    • Carolinablueyes84

I just called my local HT and cust svc told me the sale starts Wednesday, 1/5

    • ShopperSteph

My HT (in Huntersville, NC) confirmed with me super doubles.

    • Susan

I just wanted to say, it's my first time doing the thing where you click on the coupon and it removes from your list. I LIKE!

      • Guest

Awesome! I didn't know about that! Love it! Another ink saver!

      • Nccouponmom

I had no clue what you were talking about until I went to print my list and saw it!! LOVE IT!!

    • S_Carolina_Girl

How are you using the “B2G1 Kraft Easy Mac” if HT doesn't accept “free” coupons? I had a B1G1 coupon before on a different product and they would not accept it.

      • Sarah

The policy is not to accept printable coupons for free items.

Note that is not the same as BOGO (or 2, etc.) printables. If you're unable to use a printable BOGO (or any form of that idea in which you are still paying for part of the purchase), you should speak to customer service.

        • Jessi

I tried to use a B1G1 internet coupon last week on juice and they would not accept it.

        • S_Carolina_Girl

I spoke to the manager and she was insistent they do not accept any coupons for “free” items, including B1G1. Guess I will call customer service next time.

        • Rlynn103

Our Harris Teeter also told me that they WILL NOT accept any coupons that are for “free” items, or “B1G1”!

        • Donna

Our HT won't take any “free” coupons (which is what their coupon policy says) and that includes B1G1 or B2G1 or anything with the word FREE on it!

    • Momsdword1

Thanks again for the ad and match ups. I appreciate “Southern Savers.” You are the best!!

    • Sarah

Does anyone know if I can use a Target manufacturers coupon at Harris Teeter? It's for Finishing Dish Detergent and says manufacturers coupon, but has the Target logo.

      • Hokieamy

I never have problems using manufacturer coupons printed from Target at HT and vice versa.

      • Sarah

A customer in my line tried to do that last week & both the managers on duty told her no. We only accept (or rather, are only SUPPOSED to accept) competitor's coupons for dollars off the total amount – i.e. $10 off a $50 Food Lion purchase, et cetera.

The manufacturer coupons w/ specific store logos on them came to exist via an exclusive deal between the manufacturer & that retailer. In other words – Tide might be OK w/ selling detergent for $2 off at Target for the life span of a coupon, but not OK w/ doing so @ HT.

        • Courtney

lol I think i was that customer :p

      • Kristy

My HT will not let me use the Target coupons

        • Donna

If it's the coupons that say “target web coupon” then no, that would be correct – but if it's a #5 coupon that says “manufacturer's coupon” at the top, you should be allowed from what I've been told. But again, each store (and often cashier) will vary in how strict they interpret the policies.

      • Donna

Doesn't matter what kind of logo is on it – if it says “manufacturer coupon” it is just that and can be used anywhere the product is sold. If it says something about “redeemable at x” or “only redeemable at x” then you can only use it at that particular store – otherwise you're allowed to use it anywhere! :)

        • Courtney

they wouldnt take the one i had that had a target logo on it
i tried for butoni pasta, was no go :(

          • Donna

Yeah, I guess it depends on the store! The manufacturer is the one who is redeeming the coupon and paying the store back – if it doesn't say that you have to buy it at a particular store, then it should be good. A lot of stores interpret things too strictly and tell people they can't use coupons that are perfectly legit sometimes. I'm a *big* stickler for following the rules but in this case I think some stores may be overly strict and not following the proper rules. Just my 2 cents, of course! I'd never fuss if a store wouldn't take one, but I know my stores and how they follow / interpret their own policies. You just need to learn your local stores interpretations (which may vary by cashier even).

          • katie

Same for me with Butoni last SD event. I told them it was a manufacturer's coupon, not target, but they said the manufacturer has agreement with target and thats how they have the target logo on it. Since i printed it from target they said they wouldnt accept it.

          • elizabeth

The Florence HT wouldn’t take my butoni pasta either b/c it had the Target logo

      • EB

It is definitely YMMV – both HT in my town refuse any coupon with a different store's logo – they will not take man q.'s with other logos whether gotten from a circular, internet, or catalina machine.

    • Guest

There is a $1/2 La Brea Bakery Products q on coupons(dot)com, zip code 28210, making the baguettes .49 each.

    • Zinniasgive

Question about BOGO items. My HT will accept 2 coupons on the BOGO items so I'm curious how to use the max 3 coupons on these. For instance the Finish Dishwash tabs are $5.49 ($2.24). If I buy only 3, is the 3rd one half price? So do I use 3 coupons and end up getting all 3 free or is the 3rd one charged full price?

      • Laura

No, each item will ring up half price. You techniquelly don't get anything free in their bogo sales, its just half off.

      • Deb

Zinnia, Walgreens has the Finish on sale at 1.99 this week. If you can use your coupon there, you'll get it for free.

    • Jamiepeckous

I am wanting to go shopping at ht Wednesday morning before work. Does anyone know what time the new sale week starts?

      • mamac

7am. You can shop before, but need to check out at or after 7am. FYI- at my store they are not always finished putting up the new sale signage.

        • Is this even at Harris Teeter's that are 24 hours??? Or do they switch over at midnight?

          • Sarah

24 hour stores switch at 7 AM. Stores which close overnight begin the new sale upon opening Wednesday.

            • thanks! wish they would switch at night but I understand they have to prepare— i'm much more of a night owl than an early bird lol

        • fullhousepartyof5

I shopped at my 24 hr HT on superdoubles at 5:30 am on a Wednesday time before last & all the superdoubles worked. Not sure of the HT policy on that, but if the store is open 24 hours, looks like it should take effect at 12:01 am. In fact the head cashier told me I was being smart to get in there before everything was gone;)!!

    • Kennemere

The Gorton's coupons haven't been available for a while now. Says they are unavailable.

      • Kennemere

Update: I went directly to the Gorton's website and they printed, for some reason not working from this link for me.

      • Scottiegirl

I found one on the Gorton's website this morning….$1/2.

    • Kennemere

I don't have a Colgate coupon in my 1/2 SS. Does anyone else?

      • luiza

I do (Post and Courier paper, SC), but it will not work with this deal, as the paste is 6oz and the coupons are for 4 oz ones… :(

        • Carrie_C

Actually, since you would be buying a larger product, it would work. It's a problem when you try to buy smaller or less than what is listed.

          • luiza

Yes, you are right. I checked and saw that the coupons say 4oz OR larger. Sorry to have caused confusion to anyone. Thanks!

      • Nccouponmom

I didn't have the 1.00 coupon but I had .75 so it will still be free. And it's for 4 oz or larger tubes.

    • Sheryll01

Does the Double coupon apply to coupons that are over .99?

      • Chefnicoleharris

      • Jjfrugalfriends

this week yes, for ex. a $1.50 coupon will double to $3

    • Nccouponmom

Am I missing something with the A&H soap? It says B1G1 at 5.99 or just one at 2.99. If you use the coupon it says to that's $1 off 2. So doubling makes it $2 off 2 which would be 3.99 for 2 or basically 2.00 for 1 (minus a few cents)…not the 1.49 listed. Did I miss it or is that correct (what I wrote)?

      • Amy

I'm confused about all the BOGO's. HT only allows one coupon on BOGO's, so I don't see how they are free, unless they ring up their bogo's at half price and you buy them one at a time. ??

        • EB

Yes, if you only buy one B1G1 item in a transaction, it will ring up half price and you can use one coupon. If you buy 2 you still can only use one coupon so it is best to break them up in different transactions.

          • LeAnna

When I have a $/2 or even two q's for an item that is double-I make sure I get different 'kinds' of the item. For instance, last week on Khakki egg rolls…I had two coupons-and got two different variety egg rolls-my q went right through. I have done this on numrerous items and have never had problems. To me-I am not 'cheating' persay…b/c I could just as easily split the order and do the transation. Causing longer check out time and irritating non q-ers!.

    • Meegan

Not sure where it was asked but you CAN use both paper coupons and the new e-vic coupons on a product, I found it in their FAQ’s on the webpage. The only deal that immediately pops to mind is Truvia.

      • Beck

awesome, was wondering what their position on that was. thanks for the info!!!

      • Marlene

Can also use evic and paper coupons on Snuggle Fabric Softener & Sheets, Borden Singles (check database for info)
there are lots of evic coupons for pillsbury & betty crocker but wait for a better sale since those prices are not so hot this week.

      • There was a bordens coupon a few days ago for $1 off any bordens single, paired with a paper $1 coupon I got a .59 credit! YES you CAN get overage @ HT but ONLY by combining paper and e-vics

    • merry couponer

Does anyone know whether the Hickory HT will still be doubling coupons this week?

      • Couponer

They are going to do super doubles. I asked when I was there yesterday!

    • JLox

      Angel Soft $1 off coupon @ coupons(dot)com – zip code 19543

      • Beck

awesome tip, thank you so much!!!

      • Heather

    • Leewatsonis62

I am just beginning to try to coupon. If I go to HT Wed and use the coupons for stuff that is not listed above or in the flier am I wasting the coupons? Do I wait until the products show up in a sale?? Am I asking a stupid question?

      • Martyp

It just depends on the product. Super Doubles week gives you opportunities to get some great buys with coupons even when things aren't on sale… They double every day up to .99 coupons, so if it's a $1 q (coupon) then you may be getting just as good or better of a deal… my aim is to (try!!) to save 75% or more!

    • scubatori

If I do not have a evic card, how can I tell which items you do not have to have a card for? I would like to purchase these items first and then go back and get a card if needed for the other items. I have never shopped at HT before. Thanks!

      • Paige

There is normally one special item for Evic customers for the beginning of the week (they sometimes add more for the weekend) but to get the sale prices you need a VIC card – and for your coupons to double you need the VIC card. You cannot get the Evic special even if you sign up tomorrow. It won't go in effect until the next week.

        • scubatori

So I do need a card for the coupons to double? Thanks for the info!

          • Marlene

    • Taylortiff37

Correct me if i'm wrong but we can only use 20 coupons correct? Also the doubling goes up to $1.98?

      • Nancy

No correcting needed! Each day of the sale you can double 20 coupons. Coupons $1.98 & under will be doubled. Ex. $1.50 doubles to $3.00, $1.00 to $2.00. Happy shopping!

      • Jl

Only 20 will be doubled you can do more at face value.

    • Germaine Jenkins

Printed a SS coupon for $1.50 off Airborne so it'll be $1.99 each. Just in time, I've gone through much of my stockpile from a few months ago.

    • couponlover

On the Old Orchard Healthy Balance Juice 64 oz its buy 2 get 3 free it says there a dollar off coupon so use 2 but the coupon is 1 off of 2..Will we still be able to use 2 coupons?? Since we are getting 3 Free and only paying for 2?? So thats one coupon.I want to get this straight before going tomorrow and once im at the register..Thank you

      • Tmrushing

I have the same question! I'm still new to all of this.

      • I think technically if you scan the coupons before scanning your VIC card, you could use 2 coupons, b/c it would take $1/2 so if you buy 4, it's $2/4 (doubling to $4/4 then scan you VIC so you get that $$$ deducted from your total, then get them for free)… i'm going to try this at least and see how it works out

        • hopefully that makes some sense

          • Makes sense but it might not work since the register won't double your coupons until after you scan your vic card and then it will regect the 2nd coupon. Might want to try that at a self-check out with that being your only items! Was wondering, because on the receipt it is listed as a Vic item, will I be able to get the same deal on another day with my other coupon?

            • JenniferL

or you could try following Ht coupon policy. You should only use the coupons for the juices you are paying for. That means one $1.00/2 or two $.50/1.

        • Smvarnam08

Ok I just looked and according to HT coupon policy, you can't us more than one coupon with a BOGO, but I think you can use 2 since it is B2G3

      • Cruxius

The usual policy is that you cannot use coupons to make an item less than free. You can use a coupon on the first 2, but on the next 3, they are $0.00, so no coupon would be effective.

      • Beck

i did this deal the last time it was at HT and my store would only let me use one coupon if the coupon was $1 off 2 juices. but that's still a really good deal. 5 juices for $4, i can live with that

    • Cheryl

Is there a limit on the number of coupons of the same type you can use? I have probably 5 of the Finish $2.25 coupons. Can I use all 5 at once?

      • fullhousepartyof5

You can use all 5 as long as you buy 5 of that product.

        • Cheryl

          Thank you!

        • Beck

my store will only let you use 3 of the same coupon, that's what harris teeter's coupon policy says, but i guess it depends on how strictly your store/cashier sticks to the rules

        • Jmommy123

not on b1g1.. harris teeter implemented this now in their coupon policy and the enforce it big time

      • guest

My store only allows you to use three of the same coupon. Also they only allow 1 coupon on the B1G1 deals since they reason that you are getting one free. They will allow 2 coupons if you buy 4 and so on…but different stores will allow different things.

      • Jmommy123

nope only 1. They only take 1 coupon per b1g1 items.

    • Hookskaren59

Harris Teeter at Long Leaf in Wilmington is in the middle of a store reset….. That means lots of producst at least 50% off. Interesting 7th generation on sale – lots in the shopping carts discounted and discontinued. Seasonal fragrances, Method, Joy, and Gain dish detergents, Purex 3in1 and Finish Tabs – much more this is only a partial list!! Check it out.

      • Blackbutn698

Thanks for letting us know. I rarely go to that one. But I will go tonight!!

    • Brian

FYI. The Finish tabs are $2.74, not $2.24. So $.49 a box. Still a good deal.

      • Laura

I agree but I was calculating and recalculating trying to figure out how/why my math was off. Then I realized that amount listed was the wrong price for each item. But, I agree – it's a good deal!

    • Melissa

They have the Biltmore salad dressing on sale 2/$4.00, bought 1 and used the 1.00 off coupon from one of the papers a few weeks ago, made it Free :)

    • Jmommy123

My Harris Teeter is becoming soooooo strict on their coupon usage, especially on Super Double days. They wouldn't take a $1.00 off 2 chunky soup coupon today, because the soups were B1G1. I tried to explain to them that their coupon policy states they only take 1 coupon on b1g1 items and even though it was $1 off two, it was still only 1 coupon. Nope, wouldn't take it. They also wouldn't take but 2 of my $1.00 off 7th gen. toilet papers. I had 3, they would only take 2. Mad me soo mad today.

      • Micheleatwell

they wouldn't take my $1.50 off 2 ziploc containers that were b1g1f either today… blame it on the mfg! Hog wash.

        • Jmommy123

i know, they've gotten super strict over here at my HT. On Super Double days, they have several managers and supervisors at the checkouts scouring people's coupons. If you try to go thru twice, forget it. They will not let you. I tried to pickup somethings for my Mom, who's older and doesn't get out much. I went and put my stuff in the car first and came back to get her stuff. Even had HER VIC card, and they wouldn't let me come back thru. Absolutely ridiculous. They act as if we are trying to steal or something. If it's that big of a deal, then why do they even have or advertise super double day? I am furious with HT today.

          • Tmrushing

I agree! If they are going to be that snarky about it, then why even do it?

          • Superchef

They are getting really bad and are going to lose customers. I am getting ready to shop the two competitors that double coupons! If they are going to be so petty especially with the BOGO (which is not really free but half off) I will shop elsewhere! and use go in the late afternoon at dinner time and go to the young male cashiers! They are the best!

        • dkchicka8

they took my ziploc container one, but didn't double it.. only 6 out of my 20 coupons actually doubled. I asked customer service and they said that the coupon when doubled couldn't be more than the value of the item. So, alot of the free items listed above weren't free since my coupon when doubled was more than the value of the item.

          • Jl

My HT says 1 Coupon per b1g1 deal ,well 1 coupon for $1.50/2 IS only using 1 coupon. Also the computer at my HT auto reduces the value of the coupon in thier system so the item will be free but no overage. I hate that you had a bad experience but get a copy of thier policy and stand up for yourself. Call the corp office if you need to. I think most of us would not shop at Ht if they did not have super dbls ant b1g1 deals. They are way overpriced but They do take good care of thier employees.

            • Superchef

they do not take good car of their ee's! I was one and they could care less about you. It is all about the bottom line…worked there for a year with no raise and forget about getting a break! If the store is busy they do not care! Some big wig might come in and get on their case! Pay was horrible!

      • CCShad

My HT in North Mt. Pleasant had no problems with the soup or ziploc q's and the register did not “beep”. Try the $1.50/3 q for the soup! If your 7th Gen q was an internet q, they only take 2 of those per same item.

      • Guest

I think it totally depends on the cashier. My mom & I went today and got almost exactly the same stuff and used the same coupons- from the Ziploc containers to the Campbell's soups to the kitty litter. We got in a line with a younger male cashier but an older lady cashier took my mom's cart over to the next register. The lady critiqued a couple of her coupons, told her how to use them properly the next time, and went ahead and scanned them through for her since she is new to couponing (which was nice of her to do). My male cashier didn't say a thing to me about my coupons. He just scanned them, nothing beeped, and there were no issues.

Definitely go with the young, male cashiers! :)

        • Realityshowsrpot

Were you by any chance in NC today? Just wondering…bc I saw a mom/daughter couponing duo….thought it may have been you!!!

    • CouponBarbie

My HTin Florence,SC let me use the 1.50 off 2 ziploc containers and the B2G1 on the easy mac

    • Jmommy123

I'm actually beginning to wonder if going at night when all the high school cashier's are working. They are so much more relax toward the coupons. During the day you have the managers lurching over the cashiers making the scared to accept anything. ONly problem with waiting to go at night, all the shelves are emtpy by then.

    • Ashleyskeens

I am new to this, but where it say buy 10 HT brand items and get 1 free, does it have to be the same 10 items, or can I mix and match?

      • Xraychik512

It can be mix and match =)

    • Melissa_L

Does anyone know when they reset their systems for coupon usage? Does it happen at midnight or 24 hours from when you shopped?

      • Realityshowsrpot

Wondering the same thing….??? Anybody know?

        • Stefm

It's less than 24 hours but I'm not sure exactly what time. I've shopped in the evening then gone back the next morning and was able to use coupons. The sales at my local store start at 7am so I'm guessing that might be the magic hour.

    • Justgiada

How does the meal deal work ? Should I buy all in one transaction and can I use coupons . How can I get the free items ?

      • CCShad

You have to get all the items in one transaction. You can use coupons only on the Prego, the only item you pay for. All the other items are free and ring up that way. On the shelves, the items are marked as “Meal Deal” items. You need to use your VIC card. I thought it was a good deal.

        • Justgiada

Thank you so much.I got back from HT .I got the deals. This is the first time I did a meal deal and am so happy.Thank you southernsavers.

    • Jillian

Can someone please clarify for me…HT will double a coupon up to .99 face value….meaning the most discount you can get off of one item is 1.98?

      • Xraychik512

Normally, yes. But during super doubles they will double the $1.98 (if there were coupons with that value;) ) Anyway, a $1.50 coupon will double to $3!!

    • Scottiegirl

Thank you, Southern Savers! This is the 3rd time I have used this site….so happy to have found it! My bill at HT was $205 before coupons/VIC. My net bill was $79 including tax!!! Love this site and all the great advice. Now, where to put all of this stuff?! : )

    • CouponBarbie

no matter how I added it up on the Campbells chunky soup, priced at 2.25 B1G1
I can buy 2 at 4.50 get 2 free so 4.50 – 2.00(1.00 off 2 coupons doubled) = 2.50/4 soups =.62 ea. not .12 as stated above. I read the coupon policy and they will only take 1coupon per b1g1 so how can they be .12 ?

      • CCShad

If you use the $1/2 or $1.50/3, it works out to be about .12 each can. Today I bought 6 cans and used two $1.50/3 qs, which were super-doubled. I paid .75 for all six cans.

      • Amy

If your HT sticks to that B1G1 one coupon policy, then your deal won't work out as Jenny has it listed. However, if your HT doesn't stick to it like mine doesn't, then it will be 12 cents a can.

      • LeAnna

Did you buy different types of the soup? B/c that is key when doing more than one q w/ a b1g1. I even got three finish-q's did not beep-b/c I was careful to get three kinds.

      • JL

I bought 5 cambells chicen noodle for a total of $5.62 and 3 veggis soup for $3.38 for a total of $9.00 used two $1.50/3 and one $1.00/2 for a total $8.00 off so $1.00 for 8 soups. B1G1 items ring up hailf price and you can only use 1 coupon per deal. A $1,00/2 counts as 1 coupon. so if you buy four soups you can use two $1.00/2 . I hope this makes sense

        • Herndonquad

they would not let me use the coupons you were able to use. I was doing the same scenario today in Florence at HT. They said they were already BOGO and refused to let me use them.

        • CouponBarbie

I guess I am a little hesitant due to I am also a Florence HT shopper and they have been very strict this time around. It took 40 minutes to check out at the scan yourself line because the cashier got my coupons mixed up with another customers. Then they scrutinized the fact that I picked up (2) smaller sized prego sauces(had meal deal tags under each of the flavors)instead of the 45 oz that they were out of. The manager said that they were substituting ragu for prego. I explained that I had a coupon for prego and that I had planned on using that. needless to say, I was over charged by approx. 10.00 because of the re-ring.It was a nightmare.
somehow I had 5 coupons left to double because of this. I went back that evening and they did not double (3) of my coupons they started with a 5
so I guess I need to watch very carefully from now on to what they are doing and ask more questions.

    • My HT did not let me use two coupons on Healthy Balance juice deal. My cashier tried, but the computer wouldn't take the second one. She couldn't override it either. She called the manager but he was a stickler for their policy. It was still a good deal, but I'd have loved to get them for .38!

      • Same here! Got them for .78 each so still a great deal. Was wondering, because on the receipt it is listed as a Vic item, will I be able to get the same deal on another day with my other coupon?

        • yes, you can do the buy 2 get 3 free as many times as you want.

          • Joeykat16

i've done it 3 times so far… i'm stocked up on juice!

    • Lindsay

**NEW Couponer Alert** :) Today I made my first trip as a new couponer. I must admit I was pretty proud of myself. I got about $100 worth of groceries for $12 and I owe it mostly to this website! I have a question however, I'm going back tomorrow to buy more of what I bought today because I'm confused about some of my purchases. For example: my 2000 Flushes coupon says limit one coupon per purchase. I have multiple of the same coupon and want to buy multiple of this item but I was worried HT would only let me buy one. Is this true or does “limit one coupon per purchase” mean you can only use one coupon per item (which I knew already)? I hope this isn't too confusing and would appreciate someone's help :) Thanks!

      • CCShad

My HT allows only 3 qs for the same product, and only 2 qs if they are internet qs.

        • Lindsay

          Thanks a bunch!

      • LeAnna

Lindsay, I think the other gal helped you-but you are using only one coupon per purchase…if it says one coupon per transaction-they may turn it down. But I have never had them look at things that hard. Also-even though a coupon says do not double-if it begins w/ a 5-they WILL double. I always look for young or male cashiers..who will not scrutinize every coupon I have. B/c some will actually put those aside and not double them! It is silly really-b/c in my opinion-the manq. knows this! And they could just as easy code it w/ a 9. Good luck and enjoy HT shopping!!!

      • Rahrah29

Hey. I work for Harries Teeter and have for 13 years. Take a minute and stop by the customer service desk next time you are in. The coupon policy states no more than 3 coupons for 3 like items in a day. A lot of customer get away with it. If a cashier catches it the customers usually make a fuss. If you want to be an honest consumer take a look next time you come in. The policies for coupons should be posted and easy to understand.

      • EB

Almost all coupons say ” one per purchase” which really means “one per item you purchase”. Every once in a while you will encounter a cashier or even manager at a store that will insist that this wording means “one per transaction” but that is not true.

        • Mdavis1205

you are alloweed to use 3 of he same coupons in a single order. To answer your question you may purchase 3 2000 flushes and use 3 coupons, that is HT store policy.

    • couponlover

I found Muir Glen canned tomatoes (28 oz size) marked as 2/$3, which when paired with the printable from coupons.com makes them 50cents a can. These are really good tomatoes, especially if you can find the fire-roasted ones! byw, my HT in NC rang them up incorrectly at 2.99 each, so I actually got them for free, plus overage. The young manager told me that the policy was to refund the entire purchase price “if the customer gets upset.” I told him I wasn’t upset, but he insisted. Go figure.

    • Lacey

The price on the BOGO Finish is incorrect – It's BOGO at $5.49, which is $2.74 half price, not 2.24. Still a good deal to get it for $.50, but not free like I'd hoped! Correct me if I'm missing something….

      • LeAnna

Lacey you are correct…I got mine this morning..and they forgot to take one of my 2.25 q's off. I am going back tomorrow and see if they will refund me that-or if they just want their finish back. I thought our store was just higher priced than most…

    • Joy

Today the Budding lunch meat small packs were on sale 1.50 and they had a .55 coupon attached that doubles making it only 40 cents.

      • Joy

Spelling error: This is the Buddig Deli cuts 4 oz 1/4 lb pack for .40 cents

My husband asked for hard shell tacos…through the database I found a $1/2 Ortega products. The shells are on sale, so they will be $.79. And if I buy seasoning, that would come out free.

    • Lori

How often can you purchase a meal deal? Is it once and done for the week? Or can you go several times throughout the week?

      • I have purchased it several times.

    • JL

Great day at HT today. I took some time away from coupons during the Holiday but I am back. Spent $70.00 including tax for over $220.00 in grocerys. Including 3 packs chicken breast, 4 ny strips, 2 packs of ground beef and more and more and more. Yhanks some much southernsavers.

    • Herndonquad

Went to the HT this morning in Florence, SC. Really cracked down. I went to buy 2 cans of Chunky soup, BOGO, and to use a $1/2 coupon. Would not take the coupon. The manager even came over and said they were cracking down. STill do not understand b/c they ring up half price and I did buy 2.

      • nancycrom

You need to go back and show that manager their own coupon policy. I copied this right from their website: •We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items.
According to that rule, you were right, you were using only 1 coupon on those 2 bogo items. Amazing that they don't know their own rules. Besides, you HAVE to buy 2 cans to make that q work.

        • Herndonquad

the assistant manager came over and said that was accurate. They were giving everyone a hard time. Then a lady behind me tried to do the same thing with ziploc containers bogo and 1.50/2 coupon and she told her no.

          • Shaymore13

They did that to us on the ZIploc containers too! We had to buy 3 to get the deal with the coupon. But I used coupons on the B1G1 campbells and had no problems!

      • Coupons4shannon

The HT in Florence let me do this last night. But I always try to go to you-scan. They do not examine all the coupons like some of the cashiers there do.

      • Wulfsondz

The only times I have had a problem is if I by two identical items. Simply by two flavors of soup and it works in my store!

      • Jjfdv

I used that same q $1/2 at the HT in florence today. NO problems. Sorry that happened to you.

      • Micheleatwell

next time buy 2 different flavors. They will ring up half pirce AND the coupon will not beep! Weird but it works.

    • Guest

Thanks a lot southernsavers for the match ups.I paid $33 for $98 stuff. This is the first time I did the meal deal. I was so happy to see the bill that says Price you pay free for the meal deal items
I bought a Gillette fusion shave gel for $0.99 ( Used coupon $1.00/1 12/26PG).I was able to use the $1.50/2 for the ziploc containers. Thanks for all your hardwork

Anyone else have WIC? I just got it and was curious if anyone knows how it works in combination with specials. For example, for the Old Orchard B2G3 juices….I can get 2 juices using my WIC checks, so can I get the 3 free as well? It's kind of confusing! Thanks!

      • SSmith

I am not on it anymore but when I was…they would not let me get the free things. That was at Publix. I would call the customer service at HT and ask. I have called many times for different reasons and they are very helpful! Good Luck!

        • Lydia C.

thank you! I know I read in the WIC booklet to use sales/coupons when possible (obviously to save them money I'm sure!) but I wasn't sure if those kind of “B1G1” sales that would end up benefitting me applied to that.

      • Kboop

Just think of WIC as cash. You're paying for the 2 with your WIC, so you can get the other free.

    • Renee

Specially marked Seventh Generation laundry soap has a code to get in the mail a coupon for free dish soap.

    • Rea

Yesterday I went to HT and got $62.00 worth of stuff for $12.13! :) That made my day! Probably will be going back tomorrow or Sat. to get some more great deals!!! I love saving money!!!!!!! :o)

    • Stacey

We love HT! We went shopping last night and came out with $262 worth of groceries for $106.72!!!! Could have done even better if only they would put out coupons for meats and produce!! :-)

    • AB

Don’t know if anyone has posted this yet but there’s a great deal on Hunt’s tomatoes. They’re B2G1 and if you got the eVIC deal on them today you can get the first two cans for just 79 cents each (regular price $1.39 at my HT). Add in a $1 All You coupon (from January) that doubles and a fourth can so that you are buying 3 cans (per the HT policy) and you’ve got tomatoes for just over 24 cents a can! Note: for the AY coupon, you have to buy diced tomatoes. Happy shopping!

    • Scottiegirl

I am also confused by HT's coupon policy with BOGO items. I went Wednesday and was able to use a q for 2 Campbell soups, and even bought the same “flavor”. Husband went to the other HT in town tonight and used $1/3 q and they doubled no problem. But when they refused his q for $1 off 2 WW products as they were BOGO. Clerk said he had to buy 2, then get 2 free. I called both stores and they said they was correct. Is this policy on their site? I looked and couldn't find it. It just doesn't make sense to me……

      • Raynesmw

It just depends. Sometimes it goes through, sometimes it doesn't. It is not in their policy, I have examined it closely. I have written corporate also. It just depends on how the cashier or manager interprets the policy. They are going by the one that says something like you can only use one coupon for bogo free items (or that is the one they told me), which doesn't make sense b/c it is just ONE coupon just off two items. HT needs to get their policy written where it is easy to understand, and there should not be any “grey” areas that can be interpreted different ways by different staff.

    • KK

Are the HT catalinas supposed to double? I used one the other night and it did not double, but used the same one tonight and it did double. Just curious I didnt think they did.

      • Nancycrom

Just like with a coupon, if the upc code starts with a 9 it will NOT double. If it starts with a 5 it WILL double.

    • Anna15NC

There is a BOGO coupon for Special K

The “free” one has to be original or oats and honey. I did the deal at HT this morning Buy 4 get 1 free and used 2 BOGO coupons. I bought 3 red berries and 2 oats and honey for $5! $1/box.

There are other deals for the BOGO Special K coupons:

      This week at Rite Aid…
      Buy 4 Special K Cereals $4.79 each
      Total = $19.16
Use 2 buy one get one FREE Special K coupons (will deduct $4.49 per coupon)
      Pay $10.18
      Get back a $5 +Up Reward and get back 4 $1 +Up Rewards
Final cost ONLY $1.18 for all 4 boxes!!

Or wait until next week at Rite Aid (1/9-1/15) to score the following deal…
Kellogg’s Special K cereal on sale buy one at $4.79 get one free
Use the buy one get one free coupon (will deduct $4.49)
Final cost – 2 boxes for ONLY $0.30!!

      • Nita Royal

I am surprised that HT took those coupons. I tried it this morning, forgetting that their coupon policy doesn't allow IP BOGOs. Was hoping to use them at Rite Aid, but they didn't have the right flavors ;-/

    • Amy

This will be my first experience using your website and couponing! Wish me luck! :) Thank you for all of this great information!

    • Ginamity

      For OLD ORCHARD, buy 2/3free:
can I use 2 $1/2 coupons and a $.50/1 coupon – in effect, using 1 coupon for every bottle, to make it $.19 each?

      • nc_sunshine

Yes – before the “buy 2, get 3 free” discount is factored in, you are essentially buying 5 bottles. So, you can use coupons for 5 products (as you described). I didn't have the $.50/1 coupon with me, but the 2 coupons covering 4 of the bottles worked fine. HTH!

      • Nita Royal

You should only be able to use coupons on the first two, because the others ring up at zero price. I wasn't aware of this, and handed over 2 of the $1/2's. The second one beeped, and they explained why I could only use one. Still, it wasn't a bad deal!

    • JamieL

Today was my first time shopping at HT. I drove an hour to ge to the store but it was worth it. Before coupons: $154, after $80. Pretty good I thought.

    • Shea_23_99

I found a $1.00 coupon for the angel soft on couponsdotcom using zip code 10010. That makes the tissue $3 of course I printed 2!

    • CouponKing

I know that HT will honor Wags RR's. Will they also honor CVS ECB's?

    • heather

I found peelies on the Ortega shells (which are .79 after q) for 1.00 off any Gortons product. The popcorn shrimp are on sale for 2.19… so .19 a box! My kids love these!

    • Tara0872

Bought 46.00 of groceries for $6.98 thought that was pretty cool. Stocking up on canned soups.

    • egghead

so if the temperature goes up 5 more degrees, I'm headed to HT for one more run. This time to stock up on Parchment paper ($1.39), Seventh generation products ($.50 – free), finish dishwasher tablets ($.25-$.49 cents), coffee mate (free), butterball turkey sausage links and patties ($1), Sobe zero calorie drinks (free), ….

    • Nita Royal

Last minute freebie find! Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, but with so many comments, I didn't see it.

Minute Rice Steamers – I only looked for them because I got BOGO q's in the Sunday paper. Found them near the veggie steamers, 2/$4.00, with $1 peelies on them! So, 3 free to anyone who gets them, plus I went ahead and used 3 BOGOs also, for 6 bags free! (Rocky Mount, NC store)

Good freebie for those who are headed out to finish up their last runs!
