Capri Sun coupon not working :( But I guess that was a Publix coupon? We don't have Publix around here so it's not a competitor. Getting ready for a camping trip, 97 cent Capri suns would have been AWESOME!

went to get the Atheno's humus in last week’s ad and the manager wouldn’t take it because she said it was an internet coupon with “free” on it. I thought that only applied to items that are completely free. The coupon was BOGO. :( That’s never happened. I just want consistency.

      • luv2shop

I just got it tonight w/o a problem. I even used a free yogurt peelie WYB the hummus in the same transaction. I am glad it worked because I still have a couple more coupons.

      • Andrea

        Mine did the SAME thing!

      • Jen

My mom & I both ran into this problem. The cashier took mine, but the other cashier who was checking out my mom said no, manager agreed. As we were leaving, my cashier was getting in trouble. I called corporate and they said that they have never accepted any “free” printables OR “b1g1” printables. I've used them before at other stores and never had a problem til then, wasn't aware that the b1g1 printables were ever an issue.

      • Ashley Finger

Can anyone tell me where the Lipton coupon is? I know it says 3/27 but I can't find it :/

      • Guest

Many coupons are regional – meaning they may not appear in some states, some cities, or even certain newspapers within the same city/area. Unfortunately, if you can't find it in the listed insert, it's quite possible that the particular paper you purchased just didn't get it.

    • tc

Time to stock up on frozen veggies. Looks like we're in for another 1986 where leafy greens and milk from certain areas were not recommended for three months due to radiation. Am I alone on this one?

      • luv2shop

Don't know, but if you have a Lowe's and have Fresh Rewards, according to Jenny's list the GG veggies are 33 cents this week with a limit of 6!

        • Woo-hoo! I'm starting to notice Lowe's Foods is much more coupon friendly as well :)

    • Carolinablueyes84

Why do the Smart Source coupons take soooooo looooong to print?? And if I try to print others while waiting on them, it says “concurrent print attempted” and won't print but counts that against my household printing limit?? Aahhh

      • Bholmes75

be patient if you hit back or exit out screws it up

    • CM6755

I am SO frustrated as an HONEST COUPONER!!! I went to HT today with my rain checks for BOGO Purex crystals and my $2/1 q's x 3, the Meal Deal with the Ball Parks (with coupons for chips and hot dogs), and the BOGO McCormicks food coloring with $1/1 q's x 3…(my friend had the same order in a different line too plus a few items she needed)…MY cashier wouldn't take the 3 coupons for the BOGO food coloring she said that they ring up the 1st item full price then the 2nd at zero so it was ONE q per 2 BOGO items, she called a customer service person over (the cashier ringing up my friend) and she showed me where it was printed in the store and albeit frustrated I had no problem to follow the new (at least to me) rules and way of register ringing the BOGO up…then comes the raincheck for the BOGO Crystals + my 3 $2/1 q's…so she says again that she can't take but one coupon…I go ahead with the transaction and leave, dissapointed and frustrated. I am not being greedy, I do not clear shelves even when it's only a couple left, I do not photocopy, cheat, steal, lie…etc. I am doing what MANY of us do and we are using the tools we have to get great discounts LEGITIMATELY!!! I get to my van (where my SUPER friend has taken all FOUR boys 2 hers 2 mine to calm them down as I was held up by MY transaction)…ONLY TO LEARN THAT SHE WAS ALLOWED TO USE ALL THREE COUPONS FOR BOTH THE FOOD COLORING AND THE PUREX AND HER CASHIER WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD MY CASHIER THAT I COULDN'T USE MY COUPONS!!!! WTH??? My bestie works at corp so I am having her ask some questions for me about this…I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL BY THESE JEALOUS STORE MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES B/C I AM GETTING FABULOUS DEALS AND FREE ITEMS WITH SOME HARD WORK AND RESEARCH…..AND A PRINTER, SCISSORS, AND AN ORGANIZER!!! COUPONING IS NOT HARD, IT CAN BE TEDIOUS AND TIME CONSUMING BUT IT IS NOT HARD!!! A FEW HOURS A WEEK FOR A MINIMUM OF 60% SAVINGS!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR @ STORE STAFF WHO LOOK AT AND TREAT US LIKE CRIMINALS…… ====vent over==== thank you.

      • luv2shop

I am so sorry that you had that experience. It seems as though different stores in different areas ( and in your case different lines) have different policies/treatments. I have 5 HTs that I shop in my area and I have to do different things in different ones on different days. I have just adopted the GirI Scout motto and I am prepared for the lowest common denominator. That is not the best method for most (I have plenty of time for this) so I don't have a solution for you, but can surely empathize.

What can we all do to effect a change on HT (a really coupon friendly store BTW) to get consistency so that we will know what to expect. Would you like to start a discussion thread on this?

      • taliatalia

i hear you it happens to me as well and i get this look as well i used to cry at the beginning but not anymore, i keep asking my husband whats wrong with them am doing nothing wrong and they are paying nothing from their own pocket ??????? riteaid is the worst here when it comes to coupons

HT started to do the same here in[NC] they take only one coupon for B1G1
things getting worse and more complicated
        thank you

        • Guest

Actually, that has been the rule for a LONG time now, it's just that some stores weren't enforcing it before. HT has apparently been trying harder to make sure all stores run the same way and follow corporate policy.

I don't LIKE the policy, and I honestly don't think it's fair since HT is the ONLY store in the area that doesn't allow a coupon to be used on each item in a bogo pair (even other stores that double coupons like Bi-Lo and Lowes Foods will allow it), however you can't blame them for enforcing the policy that's handed down to them. There is nothing in the policy saying you can't buy 1 bogo item (which will ring half-price) and use 1 coupon for your 1 item, so that's normally what I do. That way I get the same savings without breaking any rules.

          • CM6755

this is what many of us will resort to. BUT I HATE holding up others and the employees with 3 SEPERATE TRANSACTIONS to buy 3 items with 3 coupons!!! It can get confusing and it's inefficient…sigh…oh well, I hope that HT gets it together…they get REIMBURSED + POSTAGE!

          • AB

At the HT closest to my house, they will not acccept a coupon for a B1G1 if you only buy one at all and claim that it's the policy although it's not expressly written in the version I have. In many cases, it's better for me to shop at another store that doubles even if the sale price is a little higher since I can use my coupons and I usually only need one of the item. I've noticed that their regular price is much higher than most other stores in the area, so I don't really understand this policy especially given the reimbursment from the manufacturer.

        • CM6755

Rite Aid has been the BEST in my experience! I am shocked to hear that! A couple of weeks ago when they were doing $10 UP wyb 5 Huggies I FORGOT MY BINDER!!! The store is only 20 minutes away, but in the opposite direction as my usual travels…the cashier told me that I could buy them without the q's get the UP rewards, and by the end of the week (we decided on a date) I can come back with my reciept and the coupons would be applied and my card credited…viola…done.

      • stacey

I think we have to all politely make a call to corporate and express to them the problems we are experiencing. If they are a customer service oriented company and enough of us let them know, we may see some positive changes.

        • CM6755

Already done…spoke with someone and was told they would get back to me by the end of the week. I have faith… I have some trump cards in my pocket in case they don't either…let's just say it's a VERY small world and you never know who your neighbors are! LOL

      • Samanthajayne15

The cashier was right to not take your coupons for BOGO items. That's Harri. s Teeter policy. So frankly, you aren't being honest since it is policy. I've worked at HT for 3 years. In a BOGO transaction you are only “buying” one item, therefore you can only use one coupon. It's frustrating, but when you have a ranchers, there's nothing you can do. When saleweek come, do separate transactions or buy different varieties of that item. The computer doesn't know the difference.

        • Kim

No- actually, you are buying TWO when you purchase two at B1G1- technically, they ring up at 50% off each, which is what allows you to buy only one and get it at the sale price. You don't get one “FREE”, you just get each and every one at half price. :)

          • Misspriss_1986

Just because they ring at half price does not mean you are purchasing both of them at half price, it is just how HT has chosen to have the computer handle B1G1s. Granted it is not the best system for coupons and they should handle B1G1s like they handle B2G3s so there isnt as much confusion. But if you were buying two at half price they would be advertised on sale for half price not B1G1.

            • CM6755

UH, read the ad…they are advertised as 'items rings at half price'…

          • CM6755

        • no its a raincheck she should be able to buy 6 with 6 coupons

          • CM6755

are you certain about this? thier policy states only 3 LIKE mfg q's per trans…

        • CM6755

so when we only need one of a BOGO item it rings half price, the HT AD states item rings at half price, they are encouraging us to do multiple transactions…I can't stand it when people do 5 trans. to get a better deal!

      • Heather

It is clearly stated in their policy that they only accept one coupon for B1G1F items~ meaning both items in any B1G1F offer. It sounds as if you are upset that your friend was able to get around the system instead of the policy. They are becoming more careful on watching coupons that come through, like B1G1F and doubles on DND, simply because people are NOT being honest and are working around their policy and pushing through extra coupons. HT goes above and beyond to work with all of their customers and I appreciate all they do to offer us incentives to get us in the door~ so I willingly follow their stated policies instead of seeing what I can get away with without a beep, because I want HT to continue to be so welcoming to all of us. Maybe you and your friend should just try following the stated policy, there is a link above to the official policy.

        • CM6755

Heather, I posted my reply in detail above, however…I am not JUST upset that my friend was allowed to use the coupons and the same cashier didn't allow me to use them…it's principal…we are EXPECTED to abide by policy staff should be also. This is the same cashier that gave me crazy attitude for a shopping trip weeks ago where almost everything I got was free/cheap and my total was less than $5.00. Everything in that transaction was donated to the shelter though. I PRINT the policy as it updates and keep it in my binder…I did not see anyone talking about a policy change recently so I didnt' check yesterday. Futhermore, the HT AD says item rings at half price. Guess I will have to do 3 different transactions next time. I am being facetious, of course, I DO follow the rules that is the SECOND reason this was upsetting for me…thank you for your input and allowing me to explain this to you in detail.

          • Sally

They did abide by policy for your transaction though.

        • Sally

          Exactly, to all of this.
The greed on these boards really confuses me sometimes.

      • for bogo rainchecks you can buy 6. I did it couple weeks ago the manager did the transaction. for regular bogo sales it best to use 1 coupon for 1 item per transaction.

        • CM6755

Thank you very much for responding. I have the $2/1 Purex Crystals q's so I had the customer service write the raincheck for 3 each so I can use 3 non-internet printed mfg coupons and told her that is why I wanted her to write them this was as well, that's why I was more frustrated too. It was the same cashier that told me I could only use one coupon on the 3 items.

      • oh forgot you can use 1 $.75 for regular mccormick then use the $.50 printable for another spice and use 3 perfect pinch they are not bogo. FYI didn't beep did it this morning.

        • CM6755

thanks for replying with the info/help, but I make sure that I follow how the coupons read, it's just how I choose to coupon, not judging anyone.

      • CM6755

For those of you who 'deemed' me dishonest, please re-read my post and be sure to understand it as well. I also noticed that you made no mention of how disrespectful the manager was to me either…I think I am seeing a pattern…please do not waste my time by responding either.

To those of you who feel that this comment section is to try to make others feel badly after sharing an experience as I did…shame on you! I AM following proper protocol with my grievance. I called and e-mailed corporate, spoke to them about my issue and I am currently waiting to hear back. They apologized profusely for the way the manager spoke to me. She agreed that it is very misleading considering that the HT ad states item rings at half price. I suggested that I simply do several different transactions to achieve the same savings and I was told that this discrepancy would be looked into. I believe that I will have an acceptable resolution in a couple of days.

I am not JUST upset that another person was allowed to use coupons that I was not allowed to use in an exact same situation. I am EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED that WE, as couponers, are EXPECTED to follow policy (and to do that we MUST check for new policy changes before almost EVERY TRIP!) I EXPECT the STORES and thier EMPLOYEES to be held to the same standard that WE ARE!

Furthermore, the AD FROM HARRIS TEETER (I get the same AD 4 times to the same e-mail address and NOBODY can fix it BTW…) READS that BOGO items ring at HALF PRICE…YEP, RIGHT THERE UNDER THE ITEM PLAIN AS DAY.

Today I went in to HT again for a few things and asked the ONLY cashier that has ever been geniuine with me how it actually works…b/c I purchased the Excedrin Menstural Complete with a .75/1 and it didn't double, does not say dnd BUT starts with a 9!!! These doubled last week when I got the sinus headache one (I know, not on sale…gotta' do what I gotta' do for allergies…LOL)…this cashier just said that they will not double with a 9 no matter WHAT the coupon says…WTH??? HOW in the WORLD are we supposed to follow rules and policy when it seems like it's whatever 'rules' fit at the time??? If the 1st item rings at FULL PRICE then the 2nd at $0.00 does that mean that we MUST BUY TWO ITEMS ON A BOGO NOW??? NEVER DID BEFORE! IT'S CONFUSING!

I enjoy couponing for several reasons…

First I get to PLAN MY ATTACK! I get to save money for my family by 'playing this game'. Getting FREE and virtually FREE stuff (or making a profit) is very exhilrating! The FREE/CHEAP items/brands my family does not use get put in a bin that gets taken to the Battered Women's Shelter on a monthly basis along with many other items we no longer need/use.

        • Raynesmw

Sorry that happened. I can feel your pain. I had this problem at a store about 3 months ago or so. I called the corp. office on it because the wording is very vague. I told them that I was fine abiding by any policy, but to make it in plain print where everybody could read it and get the same interpretation. Like if they policy read, “You must buy 3 products that are BOGO in order to use a “certain amount off 2” coupon. Right now it is misleading. They never emailed me back or acknowledged my email at all. One thing that you might want to try is voicing your opinion on HT facebook. I guess I have just come to a realization that coupon policies will change because of some people that are dishonest and have taken advantage of situations. I buy what I need and I do not go overboard. (Reality is I don't have enough room to go overboard). I really believe that Extreme Couponing really is going to put a damper on honest couponers. Let us know what you hear back.

        • CCShad

Just wondering if you have a Publix in your area? I usually avoid HT because their coupon policy is not friendly. I only go there for super doubles or really really good EVIC deals. The HT store employess in my area, Charleston SC, are actually very nice, but I don't like the B1G1 rules and coupon restrictions. I think it says something when everyone in town takes the $10 off $40 HT coupon to use over at Publix!

        • Tgambril

Is this the CM6755 show or Southern Savers? I mean you are replying to your own posts now? Let it go, move on, you responded to everyone and moaned and groaned b/c some people didn't agree with you…waaaa. Most of us come to find the deals not to be your personal psychiatrist. Discussion over, if you don't like HT there are other grocery stores!

    • luv2shop

I know that this is the start of the sale, but remember the last day is a good day as well. Stuff has been restocked and you have a good chance of getting what you want. If not, you can get those great HT rainchecks that don't expire! Tonight, I was able to get everything I set out to get and then some.

Here are some last minute bargains I got before the sales changed. 1 box Kellog's Frosted Mini Wheats cereal, 2 containers of Athos hummus, 1 Athos Greek yoghurt, 1 pack Starbuck's VIA instant coffee, 1 box Bayer aspirin, 1 jar Paul Newman queso dip, 1 box Pepperidge Farm peach turnovers and a Pepperidge Farm lemon cake all for $3.62.

    • Kay

Hey Jenny, I heard that Harris Teeter had changed some things on their Coupon Policy. Have you put anything on your site about this. I know this is legite, just don't understand what they are saying. tks

    • Tammy

The link posted for the Cole's garlic bread is for breadsticks, not the garlic loaf that is on sale.

      • Char

I have used this coupon before and it works on the garlic loaf.

        • Guest

Using a coupon on any item that is NOT allowed by the wording of the coupon is technically fraud. (it usually says so right in the fine print of the coupon). If the coupon said 'breadsticks or any other cole product' it would be fine, but if it specifically says breadsticks and doesn't allow for anything else then it really should only be used on that specific product.

      • really? mine said mini loaf. maybe they ran out and put a new one on there.

    • KT

There’s a new $1/1 coupon for Ball Park Franks on their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/BallParkFranks?sk=app_153966294649118

    • Angela

I tried buying Futuro Sport Adjustable Wrist Support, 1 ct., $2.99 using the $3 off coupon, however the cashier at HT wouldn't allow it – she said the coupon vlalue can not exceed the cost of the item (even if it's just 1 penny)… Has anyone else run into this issue?

      • Normally it will require an override to be adjusted down. She either didn't know or was too lazy to call over a white shirt!

        • Angela

Thanks! I'm relatively new to couponing, so appreciate your response. Sometimes I feel like the cashier are out to bully me, if i get several free items. What I don't understand is that the store still makes money for coupon reimbursement PLUS the 8 cents for S&H, yet often they give me attitude when I present coupons.

          • nope just stick up for yourself and if they call a manager over they'll fix it.

          • Sally

I have been couponing at HT for years now, and I can honestly say that no cashier has ever been anything but pleasant and happy for me when I get great deals. But I’m polite, and accept their policies cheerfully, and I never go in there just to score free deals. I always add milk, bananas, some meat, whatever, so I’m not just taking advantage and trying to milk the system.

        • Brenda Z

wow- that was a little unnecessary. I don't think name calling is ever in order :-/ But aside from that- Harris Teeter's coupon policy does state “We accept coupons for items only of equal or more value”. I've been told by my store that they will not accept coupons for more than the amount of an item and they will not adjust them down. This IS in line with their written policy. however- some stores WILL adjust down. But they are under no obligation to. If you happen to have cashiers/managers who will do that, then that's great- but even asking them to do it is kind of silly since it's definitely in their written policy.

        • Sally

          Nice attitude.

      • she needs to call the manager to override to bring it down to $2.99

    • Jessica

The deans dip coupon linked is only for $1/2 12 oz or larger, wouldnt work on the 8oz

    • Jessica

the .40/1 link for the pillsbury rolls is reall a .40/2

    • Julie

When I went to Harris Teeter today, my store in NC has ALL SORTS of new stuff on sale that was not listed in the ad AND they had ALL SORTS of stuff on clearance. Two places where clearance items were plentiful were the wrist/ankle wraps section (almost all ACE brand products were at least 50% off) and in the liquid hand soap area (liquid hand soap, bar soap, body wash, etc. on clearance). So you might want to cruise the store a little this week since you can catch some great unexpected deals and stock up!

      • Heather

couponsdotcom loaded a $2/1 ACE earlier this evening! I got the 2 inch ACE wrap on clearnace for $0.49 with the coupon!

        • Gloria9000

What zip code did you use?

      • EB

My store had many varieties of the Sally Hansen beauty tools for 99 cents each.

    • gabrielle

Has anyone been to the Harris Teeter in Hendersonville, NC. Are they doing Super Doubles this week or tripling?

      • Fishfriend03

There are tiples going on this week!!!

        • gabrielle

          Thanks for replying.

        • sillysnicks

Holy Cow, you just made my day!

    • How does it work if you have a BOGO sale and have a coupon for say $1/2? Can you even use that coupon?

      • Marlene

It depends on your store and the cashier – but most stores will not let you use $1/2 unless you get 4 items.

      • Raynesmw

Most of my cashiers will let it through. Try it one time and just see. You can always have them take it off if you don't want it. Really, all you do have to buy if they try to enforce that is 3, not four.

    • there's an airwisk freshner b1g1 I got 2 airwicks for $.64

    • Kimbo

I got the free milk coupon last week for buying 3 boxes of kellog's cereal. It is a little confusing… do I have to buy 3 more boxes of cereal to get free milk or can I just use the coupon to get free milk??

      • Guest

You can just use the coupon. I got two last week and earned 2 free gallons of milk. It has a max value of $3.59 though. At my HT a gallon was $3.79, so I still paid $.20, but what a deal!

        • Kimbo

        • luiza

Y'all have noticed the climb on the store brand milk price lately? $2.89 a gallon of both Publix and H Teeter milk today. The past 4 weeks or so I have not seen any milk for the usual 3.50s… got to buy me a cow, with 5 children at home…

          • luiza

            sorry, I meant $3.89.

      • Marlene

is it just me or are the days of milk under $3 and gas under $4 looking like the “good old days”?

    • 7308cls

FYI the HT in Fayetteville NC has just started to enforce policy on the coupon must match the product-not just brand , with 1st numbers on barcode match—- up till now if it scanned they took it and if it didn't take most of the time cashiers would call for override and they just pushed them through–not any more!!
cashier told me there was a big meeting and they were told they would be written up and could loose their job–

      • Laura

        Thats how it should be

      • Sarah34521

You have to use a coupon for the items that it says on the coupon (not necessarily exactly what the photo is, but what the wording says) – otherwise it is a fraudulent use of coupons and illegal. Just because the computer systems are not specific enough to always enforce it does not mean the manufacture meant for you to use it on anything other than what it says. We all make mistakes sometimes and accidentally pick up the wrong size or not notice that is specified only specific flavors and don't realize it if the coupon goes through, but you should not purposefully use coupons for items that are not specified just because you can figure out that the register will not beep. I hear that stores are actually transitioning soon to systems that can read the more specific barcode on the coupons so this loophole will not exist much longer anyway.

        • Sally

          Amen. It's an integrity thing.
And then people wonder why the “evil” cashiers and management are forced to crack down!

      • Tcrawley2

I agree that we should use the coupons for the right items, but I am curious as to which cashier told you about the meeting. Do you remember. I too am a frequent shopper at this store. I'll have to ask Chris about this when I'm in there next to see if there will be any other changes.

    • Fourisit

So, with the cereal that is BOGO this week, will HT accept a coupon for $1 off 2? or do I have to buy 4 boxes?

      • CCShad

Depends on your store. My store on Highway 17 North in Mt. Pleasant, SC will take it for 2 boxes (as they should!)

        • Boo2010

The other Mt P stores do as well. I agree that they should take them because technically we are not getting ANYTHING for free – we are paying 1/2 price for each one that we buy. You're not even required to GET two to get the 1/2 off price. Instead of calling it BOGO, they should just say that item is 1/2 price this week! The Tombstone pizzas, for example, are BOGO which makes them $2.87 each. I bought 6 and used (2) $1.50/3 coupons which worked perfectly.

          • luiza

My goodness, are you kidding me? I shop in Mt Pleasant as well, mainly on the Rivertowne store. I always use only 1 coupon per bogo transaction as per HT policy, or (in the case of this yummy cereal) I buy 1 box one day and have to go back for another box the next day, to get the best deal. Never thought they would allow 2 coupons, although I agree with your explanation above. I'm a bit confused now…

            • Marlene

It depends on the day and the hormonal cycle and possibly the phase of the moon. I'm being silly but seriously I shop at the same HT every week and some days they decide to enforce “do not double coupons” other days they just scan them without concern and some days they decide they're going to enforce no $1/2 on the buy one get one deals yet 3 days later that same cashier will just check expiration dates and scan them no problem. so i'm guessing it depends on who is running the store that day. i truly believe in following the rules but per corporate it is okay to use $1/1 on a single item if it's buy one get one – you don't have to get the 2nd item in the same transaction – but you can not use 2 coupons for both in a BOGO scenario in the same transaction or 1 coupon for $_ /2 on a buy one get one deal because the 2nd one is “free”.
with this logic you should be able to use a $__ /2 on 3 items as only the 2nd one is free but they just don't see it that way they want you to buy 4. (i've emailed corporate, i've talked to cashiers and managers and it's just so illogical i have given up). – so you're best off buying 1 and using a coupon for $_/1 and then running another transaction at some other point in the week.

            • Erica

The cashier today scanned all my coupons, then once she looked through them, handed me back a $1/2 for B1G1 products because she said I wasn't allowed to use it. I was aware of the HT policy for only 1 coupon per B1G1, but didn't realize that meant you couldn't use ONE coupon written per 2. Whatever, no big deal. When I checked the receipt at home, the computer had accepted my $1/2 anyway. I don't know if the computer wrongly accepted a coupon it shouldn't have, or if corporate policy of 1 coupon per B1G1 does still allow the 1 per 2. *Confused!*

      • luiza

If you are talking about the crunchy nut cereal, the best deal would be to use the .70/1 box instead (.49 a box). Only bummer is that you have to buy 1 box per transaction, as HT (at least mine) does not allow 2 coupons on bogo deals.

    • Gloverdee9

My RP 4/10 didn't have the McCormick spice or Perdue Fit and Easy Chicken coupons. Anyone else have this problem?

      • redplum website had the $.50

      • Chalice Golden

I had the spice, but not the chicken. I wonder how they decide who gets what.

    • Chalice Golden

Both of the 1.00 off Fruit2Day product printable Qs are no longer available.

      • Laura

It just printed the .45 coupon when I clicked the 1 off link… still .10 cents is a great price!

        • da101

do you know where it located at. I can't find it in my HT. thanks.

          • Laura

They're located in the produce area. Usually where the Wholly Guacamole is…

      • CCShad

The $1 coupon I printed was for a twin pack, which is not on sale. The better deal is to use the .45 coupon, doubled.

        • Laura

And my HT doesn't even sell the twin pack anymore. I had printed out the $1 coupon during the last Super double event thinking that I would get some cheap drinks only to find out that they had switched to only selling the single drinks the week before :(

    • Anonymous

I was walking the aisles and I found a good deal that I thought I would share. The Dominos boxes of brown sugar and confectioner’s sugar are on sale for 99 cents. If you use the -.75/2 Domino brown or confectioner’s sugar, 1 lb, RP 3/27 – they are only 25 cents each. That is a buy price for me!Also, some packs of the BallPark Jumbo Franks have 75 cent peelies on them that are doubling. With the BOGO, that makes them just a buck apiece. The coupons.com 55 cent one is good, too, if you can’t find any with peelies or you want the turkey ones (like me). Grillin’ time is fast approaching!

    • Laura

Went to HT tonight, and had a problem with the cashier. I'm not really sure who was in the right, so I wanted to see what others thought. I printed out 2 coupons that were for any Fruit2Day drink and 2 that were for the special edition Vitamin C power booster drink. I bought 2 of the special edition drinks and 2 strawberry banana drinks. Since they were not the same coupon, and the 2 couldn't even be used for 2 of the products I bought, shouldn't I have been able to use all 4? The cashier claimed that since they're for the same brand I can't use them. he then went on to say that it would be like wanting to buy 2 things of kraft shredded cheese and 2 things of kraft block cheese. Is this really what their coupon policy is? That I cannot use more then 2 internet coupons for the same brand?! I always thought it was just I can't have more then 2 of the same coupon.

      • luiza

Hmmm, sorry about that. I am aware of this policy about 3 internet printables for like items, but like you I always thought it applied on exact items and not the brand. I will see if I can ask the manager where I shop, just to compare.

      • Sarah

I am an HT employee & your cashier was in the wrong. The policy is 3 internet coupons per like item (read: specific item, like Kraft sharp cheddar block cheese), not per brand (like Kraft block cheese & shredded cheese purchased together).

        • Laura

Has their policy changed to allow 3 internet coupons per like item?

          • Sarah

Pardon me, I misspoke. It's 3 manufacturer or *2* internet per like item. Thanks for pointing out my error.

      • Erica

Before shopping today, I found the manager at my local VA HT and asked him about same-brand coupons. I had four coupons for four different Pillsbury bread items (crescent, cinnamon, grands, etc). I wanted to make sure they wouldn't be considered “like” items. He insured me they were fine. Even though they were the same brand, they were all for different items. They scanned no problem at checkout. It seems like the same should have been true for your Fruit2Day.

    • luv2shop

HT seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis when it come to coupons. I was checking out tonight and overheard the cashier telling another cashier that you “really have to watch all of these coupons” (I had 4). It almost made me feel like I was doing something wrong…. NOT! LOL!

      • *coupons*

I don't understand why some of the cashiers have to be like that.. like they are out to get us!

    • BuckeyeSara1982

Stovetop Stuffing is currently on sale for $1.25/pc. Pair that with the .50 coupon from Facebook and it makes it .25!

    • Donna Flint1950

HT-B1G1 Crystal Light using theB2G1 cpn, how many do you need to buy to get them for $1.32 each.

    • mamabelbel

I picked up some nice socks for cheap. My HT had lots of their socks, slippers, panty hose, and other similar things on clearance. I picked up packs of mens socks (3 pairs in a pack) for 1.81 each. I thought that was pretty good. These were not in a cart at the front but in their regular display near the makeup and diapers in my store. Mostly No Nonsense, Leggs, and Hanes (I think). Mostly from $1-$3 range. I thought it was decent.

      • LeAnna

I recently purchased some hose that were marked down(no nonsense)…I was delighted when the cardboard insert had a Q on it…then I looked-it had expired in 2009! HAha! I am glad the hose still were good!

    • Julie

their is a new coupon on http://www.coupons.com for the ball park franks…normally i only see the save $0.75 on 2 this new one is $0.55 off only 1 so it makes them $1.39 each at harris teeter this week!!!

    • Rachel

I'm new to the couponing scene, and I am really enjoying making a battle plan and conquering! however, I had drama on my first trip to HT.

Pillsbury crescent rolls or cinnamon rolls are listed 10/$10 in the local flyer (incidentally, Southern Savers says that they're $1/ea but I did not get the discount buying eight crescent and two cinnamon rolls). When I questioned customer service, they said that the Grands! rolls I bought weren't part of the promotion. Turns out, they don't stock the kind pictured in the ad, so they refunded me the price of the two cinnamon rolls. Well, I had a head-desk moment upon returning when I realized that I was out $19 + tax for the eight crescent rolls (which really should have been $1/ ea–again, issue with the volume discount), called the manager, and she told me to come back. I got a refund on the difference plus a little extra for my trouble. So, for my drama, I spent $14 and got:

      8 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
      2 Grands! Cinnamon Rolls
      1 McCormick Lemon Pepper Seasoning
      2 Blocks Helluva Good Cheese
      1 Krusteaz Muffin Mix
2 pounds of butter (no coupons, but had to have it for some baking)
      2 Kellogs Fiber Plus.

      Was that a decent transaction?

(Also discovered that there were $.40/2 Grands! coupons on the ends of each of the crescent roll cans, and a tearpad offering the same coupon.)

    • Michelle

I went to HT tonight and could not find any McCormick products for B1G1 $1.25. Does anyone know what specific spices are on sale for that price? The cheapest I saw was like B1G1 for $2.99. Is it regional?

      • luv2shop

There were a couple for less than 2.99, but most were 2.99 at my store. That is still free with the coupon.

      • This doesn't answer your question- but the McCormick spice rubs are .50 with the coupon. We use this rub whenever we cook ribs, it's typically $3.99 so this is a great price!!! We get the Sweet & Smoky.

    • Rackspur

I have a question about Harris teeter and it happened last week. I bought 2 of the newmans salsa that was on sale on 2 of the dunkin hines brownie mixes they were both on sale buy one get one. I used 2 printable coupons for each and was told I cant use a coupon on a free item is that true.

      • luv2shop

Yes. You can only use 1 coupon on a BOGO. Do them as separate transactions. It's a bit of a pain, but you get the result you need.

      • Auntiecoco

That is true you can only use one per B1G1. . .BUT that is per flavor so if you would have purchased a mango salsa and a lime salsa, a dark chocolate and milk chocolate brownie all of your coupons would have worked. HTH

      • Kebreezie

You do not have to buy one get one free. If you buy just one the item rings at half price. If your store won't let you use 2 coupons then do seperate transactions buying one BOGO in each transaction and you can use a coupon for each item.

    • singlewoman26

If anyone is looking for any coupons listed please let me know even if you don't see them listed. I sell them on ebay. My user ID is singlewoman26. I ship very fast and 100% feedback

    • cory

Got my evic email saything that certain Kellog's cereals will be 4/$5 on Sat…anyone know of any coupons that will work with this?

      • Jillian

1.50/3 in RP 4/10. Works on all but the Rice Krispies.

        • great_state

Hmmm, mine from RP 4/10 would only work with the Frosted Flakes. The Apple Jacks, Froot Loops and Rice Krispies that are on my e-vic are all for smaller sized boxes.

      • mommy6

Yeah… Do I have to buy 4 or can i just buy 3????

        • *coupons*

you have to buy 4 :( In my email it says “All 4 items must be purchased in the same transaction to receive the special e-Vic price.”

          • Sarah

Although I understand how it could be read both ways, you don't actually have to buy 4 if you don't want/need that many. The stipulation about purchasing everything in the same transaction just means that if you DO want 4, you have to get them at the same time – you can't buy 2, and go back a few hours later expecting to get the other 2 at the special eVIC price.

      • Harbinfamily

In the coupon database there is a $1/2 Rice Krispies coupons. That makes them .75. YEAH! I only buy cereal when it is under a dollar! I saw a cute idea of making rice krispy treats and mold them with plastic Easter Eggs. :o) fun, fun, fun!

    • Angela

I just logged on to eVIC coupons and there were a bunch to save. So, you might want to check.

    • Xraychik512

The Picsweet Frozen Vegetables will not work with that coupon, it's for the deluxe variety which are not BOGO. Darn

    • Time4mom2

there is a regional coupon coming out in Red Plum 4/17 for the Hanover Green Bean for $1.00/2, using it will make 2 cans for $1.35!

    • littlefrogs3

Question- I just got back from HT and tried to buy the Lipton Ice tea B1G1 and had a coupon for 75./2 but they said I had to buy 2 at full price to use the coupon. But they didn't say anything about the Kraft dressing that was B1G1 and I used $1/2 coupon for that one. Tell me what is right so I don't make that mistake again. I couldn't find it in the coupon policy when I got home. Thanks for any help!

      • Stephen_A_K

This does seem to be a trend in HT. I had a manager at a store say that the policy for B1G1 store sales with coupons that are $ off more than one item is that you have to buy the number items on the coupon at full price. Thus for a $1/2 coupon you would have to buy 4. As far as how this is enforced is different with every cashier that you get. Some will know (they have to know because the coupon will scan as the computer reads the two items) what is B1G1 and will call you on it and some don't look that closely. It seems as though the B1G1 sales are not near as good as they used to be. I have quit trying this type of scenario at my store because it terns into too much of a hassle.

        • Germaine Jenkins

An assistant manager at the West Ashley SC store (that goes out of her way to be helpful to all customers) told me that Harris Teeter is trying to make coupon policies consistent across the board because of the number of customer complaints about varying store rules. Since they started enforcing the new rule, I have seen couponeers argue with store employees and management to have the old policy honored. In the end, the actions of the very assertive 'won't take no for an answer clan' negatively impact everyone. Think about the situation in the reverse. Companies change policies all of the time, how much fun would it be to be on the receiving end of complaints day after day?

          • sdwave23

It is their own fault for not being consistent! You can't blame people for being upset when the deal you get across the aisle is different, or the deal you got yesterday is different. They need to be consistent! There are huge differences between 2 different HT's that I shop at. Guess which one I have now stopped shopping at- the one that scrutinized coupons the most! Of course, if both stores, all cashiers did the same thing, we would get used to it and then wouldn't be upset by the random “enforcers”! No talks of “policies” please! That is so not the point! First thing you learn in customer service is don't use the quote “that's our policy” unless you want angry customers! Especially when all employees interpret said policy differently.

      • EB

The official policy is that you can use one coupon for BOGO items. Different stores (and often different cashiers in the same store) seem to interpret this differently. Some say you can get two items (paying for one and one free) and use the $$/2 coupon since you are using only one coupon. Other stores interpret it that you have to actually pay for two items in order to use the $$/2 coupon so you would need to get at least 3 items to use your coupon if they view it like that.

      • luv2shop

I got around this one by buying 1 of the BOGO item and a small box of the non-sale small tea bags. I felt OK about it because it added to the variety in my pantry.

      • Hubbardca

Our HT requires buying 4 to use a $1/2 for bigi items. Awful change to adjust to, so I now do more separate transactions when I have a $1/1 etc. coupon for bigi deals. I also shop CVS more. Can you imagine a $1/4 coupon at HT??

      • couponlvr

I just went to HT yesterday and bought 4 boxes of the LIpton tea bags and used 2 of the .75/2 coupons. They never give me any trouble about using $/2 when it B1G1. They won't let me use 2 separate coupons on B1G1. I also used the $1/2 on the Kraft dressing. I don't understand why your HT would let you use one and not the other. I believe I would have questioned management.

    • sarahinNC

I cannot find the Vlassic coupon thru the link, and really wanted some b/c our daughter LOVES pickles! Anyone else have this problem? Or have a suggestion for where to find these coupons?

    • EB

I got a personal evic offer of Bestlife Spread B1G1, but the sale price this week is also B1G1. Does anyone know how this should be interpreted? Does the evic offer just get ignored since that is the current deal or will I be able to pick up 4 for the price of 1? ( pay for 1, get 1 free for evic deal and then get two more matching ones free because of the regular sale offer is B1G1???

      • Cruxius

Heh, you beat me to the question by 5 minutes.

        My guess is that
        1. if you buy 2, the EVIC kicks in, and 1 is free.
        2. You then pay normal store price, which is ~$1.30.

I don't think you can buy 4 for the price of 1, since they are strict about E-VICs, and limit you to 2.

I'm planning to try buying 2 on ~Monday when I have coupons lined up.

      • Kyndal

So I just went to HT to buy the Bestlife spread and this is how mine turned out:
I bought 2 and they rang up
        -2.59 VIC
        -2.59 EVIC
        Plus I had a coupon for $1/1
= -1.00 so they paid me $1 to take them pretty great deal.

        • Cruxius

That's what I got, too. I couldn't use two coupons, so only 1 took.

          Awesome deal.

I got an E-VIC for B1G1 on BEstlife Buttery Spread, 15z.

They are already B1G1 for everyone. Would I be able to buy 2 for $1.30?

Sorry if someone already asked this, but does anyone know how many you have to buy with the DIAL bar/handsoap coupon? I thought the coupon meant you have to buy a 3-pack of bar soap or 1 liquid hand soap.

The manager said, no you have to buy (3) of either the bar soap packs or (3) liquid hand soaps for the $1 off.

Anyone know what the coupon is really for?

      • luv2shop

I used it for 1 hand soap that was on clearance and it worked just fine.

I am not sure if anyone else has posted this but the Skippy peanut butter that is BOGO there are peelies on them for 1$ off when you buy two. I know there is some discrepancy between stores when you use these, but my store didn't have a problem so I got my peanut butter for $1.

    • Evysmom

Did anyone else notice that the crescent rolls that re $1 are not the regular size tube of 8 but the mini tube of 4 rolls? I was so disappointed! I still used my .50/2 coupons and got 4 mini tubes for $2 which was good, but I thought I was going to get 4 regular tubes (32 rolls) for $2.

      • luv2shop

I had just the opposite experience. I was elated that the smaller tube was the one on sale because there are only 2 of us and the larger packs are too big for us. Even DH, who is having a hard time with the couponing of it all, was happy about this. Turns out he really likes them and I never bake them. He encouraged me to buy more so we have about 8 cans.

      Hello everyone,
I bought the Cole’s Garlic Bread or Toast, 14-16 oz, at $3.29 ($1.64) but I was only able to use one coupon for the B1G1 Free offer because they charge $3.29 for the 1st one and the second is free. Very Tricky!! Stores usually charge half on each product.

      • LeAnna

HT has never allowed two coupons on b1g1's. This is frustrating b/c they ussually ring up at 1/2 price. IF they are ringing now-one at full price..then that means you can't buy just one any longer. That would stink. If it has not really changed and both still will ring up at 1/2 price-there are two ways to deal w/ this. #1-split up your order. I do that sometimes. or #2-(and this is good when you have a $/2 for a b1g1) buy different types of the same item. Does that make sense?

When checking out yesterday at my local Durham HT, I asked the manager if they accepted Walgreens Bucks. He replied, “yes, and we also accept the CVS bucks as well”. I was floored! Plan to test this today on my shopping trip and will post the results here. Anyone else use CVS bucks at HT?

      • savvy savings

I do this all the time at the HT in Durham on Horton Rd. I Have also had them take Rite Aid UP, too.

        • Carolina Coupon Mom

Savvy Savings – I am on the other side of town (Southpoint area) and was quite pleased with how helpful the store manager was. He gave me a few tidbits and actually referenced this website. : ) He suggested checking out Harris Teeter's coupon policy and said “there's a lot you can do when you get to know the policy”. He even told me about the coffee deal going right now with the Catalinas. Very helpful!

      • luv2shop

I had heard that, but I always use mine B4 I even get out of the store.

      • Bholmes75

what is this a new rule?

    • luv2shop

Awesome deal on the French's mustard today. It was on sale for 1.29 with the .50 coupon doubling it was .29. But wait, there's more… the mustard was in a BOGO pack with the honey mustard dipping sauce, so I got them BOTH for .29. Happy dAnCe!

I started couponing last summer and have never seen triples at all, though I see on this blog that some stores do triples. They seem to do super doubles about every six weeks or so – so I am hoping that super doubles will be around the first of May.

    • Scj401

Is there a schedule that tells when Harris Teeter will have Triple Coupons again?
Do they offer Super Doubles and Triples in cycles? I want to plan ahead!

    • Misty

I went to HT last night and had some issues with some of my coupons. I got 2 bottles of Kraft salad dressing and the coupon was .75/2. The dressing was on sale BOGO. THe cashier said I had to buy 4 because I was only paying for 1. Is this right???? I have never had trouble before. Thanks

      • Steve

Yes, you would need to buy 2 due to BOGO.

      • couponlvr

Apparently this depends on individual stores. I always use $/2 on B1G1 items when I am purchasing two. I used the Kraft coupon on two bottles of dressing and I was able to use the Lipton tea bag coupon $0.75/2.

      • LeAnna

I always get different types-flavors….they go through that way. I would think you could buy three…the thinking being b1g1-and b1(even if it is 1/2 price) Does that make sense?

        • Misty

I think it depends on the cashier. She didn't question the Lipton tea coupon. I was not happy when left, makes me want to shop at Bi-Lo more.

    • Dani

Okay – I have a question. A new HT just opened by my house and for the past 3 months, they have sent home mailers to area homes with coupons for $10 off a $40 purchase (4 coupons, one dated for each week) – which has been awesome! Well, this week, Lowe's foods ALSO sent out a mailer with $10 off a $50 purchase coupons. According to HT's coupon policy, shouldn't I be able to use the Lowe's foods coupon as well at my HT?

      • LeAnna

Yes of course…I would buy a bit over $50.-hand over the lowes Q-then the HT Q-then your regular q's. I think that would work.

        • Anonymous

Cashiers are told to take all regular manufacturer coupons first and then amounts off total purchase coupons so you would still need to make sure your purchase would be $50 after all your other coupons. I'm not 100% sure but I think that if you are using two totals off amounts you would have to satisfy the total seperately as in spending $90 to use both $10 off coupons, but like I said I'm not positive so it would be best to ask at customer service before checking out.

    • Kcreviews

HT sent out a home mailer with coupons in it valid from 4/20-5/17. There is a bar code but no numbers below it, so I'm guessing they're store coupons. Can I use manu q's with these as well?

      • mamabelbel

I don't have these particular coupons but I received some like that a few months back on several products that I also had manu q's on. I stacked them with no problems. Wish I saw these more often. Have maybe received 2 mailings like that in the 6 years or so that I have been shopping at HT.

    • Anonymous

For those of you who wish you had a Bi-Lo for the 99 cent sugar, you can get the same deal at HT using the 75 cents coupon on
. The sugar is on sale for 2.49 so when the coupon doubles you are getting a 4 pound bag for a buck. You can use it on the brown or confectioner’s on sale for 1.99 and get a 2 pound bag for 49 cents. I used zip 27607.

Someone on here commented that HT was accepting Walgreen's register rewards and CVS ECB's. I emailed customer service to ask them just so that I could take the email with me to the store when they said yes so there would be no issue. However, this was their reply:

“Thank you for your email. That is incorrect. We do not accept Walgreen's Register Rewards and CVS Extra Care Bucks. We gladly accept local competitors' circular or direct-mail coupons for MONEY OFF THE TOTAL ORDER coupons, and competitor's coupons that state “Manufacture Coupon” at the top.”

Which actually doesn't make sense because register rewards DO state “manufacture's coupon” at the top and are an amount off the total purchase.

      Oh well.

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

Hello Dani – I was the one that posted that HT was accepting Walgreen's RR and CVS ECB's. This afternoon I made my first test run and used them without any issues.

My pre-coupon and pre-card total was $130. I used ~$65 in RR's, ECB's, and Rite Aid bucks. My cash out of pocket was ~$3.50 and even impressed my 15 year old son (who is extremely coupon supportive). This evening we celebrated by grilling out hamburgers and I couldn't be happier!

I would suggest asking your store management as the store manager was the one that told me. The RR's scanned without a problem and the manager had to come to the register to manually enter the Rite Aid and CVS certificates. They were entered as competitor coupouns and that's what is reflected on the receipt.

        • Dani

Wow. That is exciting. I will have to try it and see if it works at my store.

    • AnnNuh

When I went to my Harris Teeter, they didn't double the Excedrin .75/1 coupon, but doubled all others in my order. Does anyone know why?

      • Me2

unless you go over the 20 limit number of coupons they will not double more than 20 coupons in one transaction per day.

    • Sewobsessed

Does anyone know when the next super doubles is?

    • Tinaivester

how do I find out when Harris teeter has super doubles? Will it be tomorrow??
