Every time I sit down to write a review I keep thinking “this is my favorite” no… “this is”… I’m very indecisive I guess.
I will say of everyone that comes into my home to help me whether it’s watching my kids or helping with email or typing, this giveaway is by far the group favorite! Homedics recently sent us a Swedish Massage Cushion to try out. I’ve always sat in these at the mall in the stores you aren’t supposed to touch anything in, but I’ve never owned one. This thing is amazing!
It straps into any chair and is very light and portable (we pass it from chair to chair sometimes). There is a small remote that lets you pick upper, lower or full back and to turn on heat if you would like that. I have probably “tested” this more than any other product sent to me, and have to say it’s the best thing next sliced bread!
To be fair there are a few things that I would fix (and a few that we’ve found solutions for):
1. For short people (me) the lower back setting really stops around your belly button and the upper back goes well above your ears. Solution we discovered – sit on a phone book (or a ream of paper, cause who has a phone book anymore).
2. After 20 minutes the message turns off and makes it very uncomfortable to sit in the chair with the cushion. Solution – just press the button to keep it going longer!
3. If you sit with it running for longer than an hour your back is incredibly sore the next day. (Odds are that was a warning somewhere in the manual that I didn’t read since I was so excited to try it).
4. I wish it had a feature to get the message to stop in a certain area. It will hit a spot that feels incredible and then keep on going. No solution here other than to just go back to the solution for #2.
In all seriousness, after trying one for a few weeks, it might seem like a frivolous gift to some but this is something that would probably make any grown woman love you forever.

I would love a FREE massage!! I'm a mother of 3 and the lower back is about gone…It is rather costly to go and get a massage so it would be a luxury to get a free massage right at home whenever I needed it! :)

I would be soooo excited to recieve this. My lower back is always hurting & I can never get a back massage from my husband, because “He has arthritis in his hands”. With this, I could get a back massage anytime I needed or wanted one. This would be amazing!!! :)
OMG! I love getting massages so much that I became a massage therapist in my 20s. It sounds odd but when you go to school to learn massage, you get to be other therapists guinea pig. It's awesome because you get at least one massage every day!!! I'm in my 40s now and wish I could have those days when everyday my body felt the relief of a massage. Sighhh.

OMG, I had a hysterectomy in mid September and suffered a large hematoma because of the Lovenox shot now required before all surgeries. My incision opened up about one inch at the end of week one and still has not completely healed. I spent five weeks bound to the bed / couch / recliner. Today is 7 weeks post-op and I am still going to the doctor weekly and having CT scans. I could really use some good news in my life right now. I could really use a back massage cushion!!

I have something similar that I bought after Christmas a couple of years ago for my husband. A young teenage girl in our church has Cerebral Palsy causing her muscles in her back and neck to tighten causing extreme pain. I would LOVE one of these! I've been a ball of stress for the past two years. In my past two years I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, found out that my husband has cancer (he's fighting and winning the battle, thankfully) and then spent April through NOW trying in-vitro and frozen embryos transfers to try to give our daughter a sibling. We transfer our final embryo tomorrow morning, so no matter the result, I will need to RELAX and try to enjoy the holidays!

I had my 3rd baby six weeks ago, and am nursing him. I find that even with use of a Boppy pillow, my back ends up killing me by the end of the day, either from the many nursing sessions hunched over, or carrying him around when he's fussy… not to mention taking care of my 2 and 5 year olds. I would LOVE to have something to use at night to bring relaxation and relief to my back!!

As a nursing student..I have just been intoduced to 12hrs shifts while a t clinicals at the hospitals!! I suffer from chronic muscular back pain and with final exams, juries, and all of the other stresses the holiday season brings, a massage would be an amazing release! This would be wonderful! I suffer from chronic back neck and back pain due to buldging disc that i recieved after 3 car severe car accidents within a 2 year period. Since then i was diagnosised with RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) it is a nerve disorder that stems from trauma and causes my feet to swell in discolor which leaves me in a wheelchair most of the time. I've realized that the more my back hurts the more my feet swell, so any thing that could possibly help reduce my time in a wheelchair would be great!

After going to a chiropractor, he told me that my back pains are all muscular and reccomended regular massages. It is not quite so affordable to get massages on a regular basis, so this chair cushion might do the trick!

I will love to have it since i have my baby I have back pain I don't know what caused it because i don't have insure is going to be a big help to have one of those.
I would love to win this massager for my husband. He works in retail on his feet all day and has a very bad back because of a couple of car wrecks. What makes me excited about a massage chair for this holiday season would be that I am currently pregnant and am at high risk. I have to take it easy the rest of my pregnancy which is until april 10th 2011. I was taken out of work and have lower back problems. I had my lower right leg crushed in an accident over 4 years ago..and although Spartanburg Regional did a great job allowing me to keep my leg…my “funny walk” keeps my lower back tight and painful.At present, to loosen up,I roll around on one of my son's baseballs…so yeah I'm pretty excited at the prospect of some free Swedish massages…thank you!!!

As an educator, part advice-giver, miss-called mommy, to 23 students, I look forward to relaxation time at home with my own family after a long week at work. Oh I need this now, cause I am having pain from my neck to the bottom of my spine. I was in car accident several years ago and ever since, I get bad spasms several times a year. This past weekend I went to the Woman of Faith conference in Greensboro NC and I sat in those chairs all day Friday and Saturday and then Sunday the pain hit me and I am still hurting today, this rainy Monday. Please I could use some relief with this Swedish Message Cushion I probably will use it every day, I know I will.

My boyfriend is 26 years older than me, (just turned 51) and both of his parents have Parkinson's disease. His father just passed away last month from advanced complications of the disease. I would love to give him one for Christmas as he has been complaining a lot lately of body pains–especially in his back and neck. I am worried he has the beginning's of Parkinson's too. =( I am putting myself through law school so I can't afford the price tag on this cushion but I hesitate to get him a cheap knockoff!
