i am so fed up with ingles i went the other day and used 2 johnsons coupons for the buddies soap and was gonna get them both free. I had gone earlier this week and got 2 no problem this week from one of the store managers. But i went yesterday and was gonna get 2 more and this one manager that has given me a problem before using printable coupons started being a butt! She said well i cant take those printable coupons because they are 1.00 off and the soap is .98cents So i proceded to tell her i had come in there 2 days ago and used them and the other manager had no problem with me using them as long as i had bought something else to go with it. So she cocked a attitude with me saying well we just need to stop using printable coupons if it was up to me I wouldnt take them! I was like well thats fine i just want shop here no more! So I guess ingles just lost a customer! I have used manufacturers coupons before from the paper where the coupon was more that the item and they never had a problem with it , she just wanted to fuss since i had the printable coupons! Well she can have 3 kids and be on a budget and see how she does her shopping! Coupons are a life saver!!! But to anyone out there that does go to ingles I know for a fact they will only take 2 printable coupons unless u get the girl manager from Landrum, SC ingles!

      • Lana

I could not agree more about the Ingles in Landrum! I will not shop in that store again either! They have gotten better about coupons at the store in Spartanburg near Sam's Club but they still have their moments.

      • Cathy

I guess I've been very fortunate with the Ingles in Weaverville, NC. They will take any coupon I give them…no limits on printed coupons either. And if it doesn't ring up, they type it in. I haven't tried any in Asheville though.

      • Jackie

Melissa thefemale manager must be on some sort of power trip. The Ingles coupon policy clearly states the Ingles will take printed coupons as long as the item is purchased. I think you should send an email to their corporate office. Go to their website and ask for a copy of their coupon policy. Take it to MISS Hussy and so it to her. Thats what I would do. Good luck We should not have to encounter such spitefullness!

    • valeriejcm

I got an email from Ingles this morning (as usual, being signed up for the “Ingles Advantage Shopper”), except this morning, instead of being items that were on sale that I have bought before, it was a special sale “just for Ingles Advantage Card Members”. No coupons needed, just use my card at checkout. I copied the email just in case I have any problems, but includes some good stuff.

My only question is, of course, will they take manufacturer's coupons along with these specials? I will go this afternoon and post what I find out!

      • MiriamG

I also received these q's by email because of being signed up for the Advantage weekly email that comes on Sunday. I was able to use manufacture q's and the email note q's still came off at the end!

    • heygreene

I have a question about Ingles' coupon policy. I'm not concerned about doubling here, since for example I have a Rayovac coupon that's $1 off. Does that mean that I can use 10 $1 off coupons for 10 items, or do I still have to purchase $10 worth of stuff to even use 3 coupons? Thanks.

      • Lana

There is no limit on coupons that are not doubled-You can use as many as you want and not have to spend any certain amount-BUT they will only take 2 like internet printables per DAY. My store has stretched this policy to include all coupons. But hubby and I do go and check out one behind the other and just pass back the Advantage card. We will try to stop there a couple of times this week and use Ray O Vac coupons too.

        • heygreene

Thanks Lana, that clears it up. I was always so confused/paranoid by Ingles' policies I only used 3/$10 spent even if they were above .50 cents. Ha. I'm used to shopping at Publix and BI-LO, but with this in mind I may expand my horizons. Thanks again.

          • Sherri

I used six $1 off rayovac coupons there last night & the manager tried to give me a hard time about my “internet coupons” being over .50 cents but I was polite & asked questions she fnally let me used them but she was NOT happy about it,like the coupon money was coming out of her pocket…she never mentioned anything about no more than 2 printed coupons a day…so I left happy with my deal but not so happy about Ingles, I can not stand shopping there but I wanted some .25 cent batteries! ;o)

    • Wendy

My Ingles in western NC has Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil on sale for 3.48 and there is a $1q that has been on coupons.com. I agree that their coupon attitude stinks! Mine will only let you use one IP per day.

    • MLS

I can't find the tearpad in my store. I asked an employee and called the home office and nobody knows what I am talking about.

    • Anonymous

Where are the tearpad for the green giant vegetable that is $1/4? I have looked everywhere. Thanks in advance! My email is mdaughrity@carolina.rr.com.

    • yockey11

I think I've been flagged. My last trip to Ingles I was not allowed to scan my own coupos at the self check out. the attendant was irritated becuse she had never seen this. I've been couponing for a little over a month now. My husband is accusing me of hoarding groceries. It was just an odd situation as Ingles. I had just left Kroger and they made me feel like a criminal for using coupons. I didn't know until this visit that my Kroger had adopted the same only 2 internet Qs per product..Just a rough week for the couponer here in Cartersville, GA.

    • Sherri

my Ingles gave me a hard time using my $1 off Rayovac coupons that I had from battery packs (when u bought the batteries that had the win instantly game on them you at least got a coupon code to print a coupon off their website) so I had 6 of them, they expire on 3-31-10…& they wouldnt scan so the manager says that they are really not supposed to take internet coupons for over .50 cents…I was patient with her aske questions politely & she let me use them…I really do not like Ingles! but I'm glad I got to use them cause I got .25 cent 4 packs of batteries!
