Most Ingles stores are Tripling coupons this week! They will follow the same policy like below for doubles except that .50 cent coupon is now worth $1.50. Makes it a week worth checking out if you are near an Ingles store.

Coupon Policy:

  • For every $10 spent before coupons, Ingles will double 3 coupons (i.e. $10/3, $20/6, $30/9, etc.)
  • Ingles will double manufacturer coupons, 50¢ or less with your Ingles Advantage card.
  • No more than two (2) identical items are eligible for double coupon savings.
  • Ingles will NOT ACCEPT “FREE” internet coupons, only cents off coupons
  • They will only accept 2 internet coupons per manufacturer product per visit per day.

I can’t find the Suddenly Salad printable under coupons.com. I’ve tried several different zip codes. Is it gone? And I can’t get the Pillsbury site to pull up at all.

There is a .50/2 coupon in the 6/28 SS, though, that would make them 34 cents each.

    • adri

I have some questions, I’ve never used coupons at Ingles. About the following rules:
      # For every $10 spent before coupons, Ingles will double 3 coupons (i.e. $10/3, $20/6, $30/9, etc.)
      # Ingles will double manufacturer coupons, 50¢ or less with your Ingles Advantage card.

Does that mean that if I have an Ingles card they will triple all my coupons under 50 cents? But If I dont have one they will only triple 3 for every $10 spent? Can I just go and ask for an ingles card before I check out?

    • Jenn

Jenny, can you use the Pepsi coupon from Publix? It says “manf coupon” but also “redeem at Publix”. Thank you!!

    • Jenn

Adri, yes you can get your ingles card at the CS desk before purchasing.

They will only double $.50 or less coupons, and only 3 coupons per 10 dollars spent. IE if you spend $50, they will triple 15 coupons, if you spend $100, they will triple 30 coupons. They will take all other coupons at face value as long as they follow the above guidelines.

The only way that they will triple is with an Ingles advantage card.

Without one, you will just get face value for all of your coupons.

    • adri

So what method do you guys use to figure out which to double? Do you go through with a calculator to figure out how much and then just hand the ones you want tripled separately?

I’m sorry for all my questions, but I’ve never shopped here and it’s a little confusing. There’s a nearby Ingles so I’m trying to figure out whether it will be worth the trip there.

      Thanks for all your help!

    • Amy

Cheerios snack mix is 2/$3 this week at Ingles and I had a $0.50 coupon they tripled, so I got two bags of this snack mix for free! And with the Viva paper towels deal I was SUPER excited!! :)

    • Tiffany

I went grocery shopping yesterday and Ingles actually multiplied my 50 cents and under coupons TIMES 4 instead of 3! I’m not sure why but it made my good deals better!

    • I have been shopping at Ingles for several years and using my coupons and they have never declined any of my coupons (newspaper, magazine or internet)for any amount of money that I have spent nor have they declined to double or triple any of them. I don’t antipicate any problems when I go this week either. It might depend upon which INgles you shop at though.

    • Adri – It IS confusing b/c of their rule. You have to plan a bit more to get it to work, but I make a list in Excel of all the items I’ll probably buy and highlight the ones I want to use a triple coupon with. I also list the price with a running total of the cost of all my items BEFORE coupons (b/c that’s the number they’re looking at). If I’m at $30+ before coupons, I’ll be allowed to use triples on 9 items (9 coupons).

Some people keep a running tab as they shop, but since bringing a list keeps me from overspending, I do that.

Another easy thing to do is make your trip coincide with meat/fish purchases. It’s an easy way to get your pre-coupon total up.

    • Teresa

Makes sense! Thanks for the info Julie

    • Whitney

Question — I have manufacturer’s coupons from coupons.com that say “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE.” Will Ingles triple these? Seems like Ingles would just pay the diference for the tripling so it wouldn’t matter what the coupon says. Is that right?

Also, they triple coupons up to $.50. Would they triple a coupon that’s $1.00/2 (technically $.50 off each) – making it $3.00/2?

Thanks! I’ve never couponed at Ingles.

      • Jenny

The computer looks at the bar code and if the number starts with a 5 it will automatically double or triple the coupon no matter what the top says. It also will only double it if the value is really .50 cents or less so the $1/2 will not double.

    • kristi

so, if i spend $10 and use 3 coupons that can be tripled, will my additional coupons be doubled or face value? thanks!

    • Miranda

I would like to know which Ingles you shop at. I always have problems at the Ingles closest to me. I am in the Atlanta area and willing to drive a little way for some good tiple deals!

    • Miranda, I live in Cleveland, Tn and I shop at the Athens, TN store. I have to drive 20 miles to shop at either Ingles or Publix, but Ingles has never given me a hard time neither has Publix, but I especially like the fact that Ingles gives a part of your total sales back to a school of your choice with their Ingles Advantage Card program which Publix does not.

I have a sister that lives in the Atlanta area and according to her she has never had a problem using coupons (being doubled ot tripled) at Ingles either. She usually shop at the Winder or Lawrenceville stores. Hopefully this helps you out, Coletta

    • Lana

Ingles will only triple OR double 3 per $10. All we have is problems shopping at Ingles as a couponer in the Spartanburg,SC area. We have called corporate MANY times with little improvement. When you consider the hassle and the 3/$10 rule it is so much easier to just do Bloom triples!

    • Susan

I just shopped at the Ingles on Stallings in Taylors, SC. My purchases only added up to $27 and I had 14 coupons I wanted to use. I bought a $25 gift card to use for gas or a later purchase and that allowed me to use all the coupons that I wanted. When I got to the car, I realized that 5 of my coupons had not doubled (they had manually tripled all of them), so they gave me $2.50 back at customer service. They were not busy at all and all the free or nearly free items that I wanted were in stock.

    • Allie

Thank you for asking those questions ADRI! :) I’ve never used coupons at Ingles before so I was wondering the exact same things, but you beat me to it. Thank you!

Julie @ couponnewbie – thank you for explaining everything in a way that I can understand! :)

    • Cori

The Publix in Greenville SC does have a program to donate money to school. I have a separate card for upromise and school donations.

    • Michele

I’m a little confused. Does Ingles double all 50 cent coupons you used or is it that it doubles only 3 .50 cent coupons for every 10 dollars?

    • Andrea

I bought several items that I received free including the Cheerios Snack Mix and also French’s Mustard. I love deals.

    • Kim

Thanks for the gas card tip!

    • I used my Carefree 50c IP to get free pantiliners.
Heluva good dip was 1.95 so with the SS q for 50c, it rang up .45.
Country Crock spread w/Vit D was 2.98 so with the 50c q, it rang up 1.48.

    • Charity

For the first time in 7 years, Ingles would not double or triple the coupons that said “Do Not Double.” I should have walked out of there with $170 worth of groceries for Under $100… instead I walked out with nothing because 1/2 my coupons were not worth it anymore. I will still shop at Ingles, but I think I may go to another one. Funny thing is, they would have rung it right up and the register auto double it… but for triple coupons they have to enter the “triple” manually. I think the cashier just didn’t want to fool with entering 40 coupons manually. Ugh…

    • Stacy

Thanks for adding Ingles. It’s the closest store to me and today, with the triple coupons I had an awesome day!! My total came to $80 and I paid $28!! Not bad when you consider that $17 of that was for items I didn’t have coupons for, like my soda and veggies. But for the 46 items I did have coupons for, I only spent $12!!! That works out to .26 per item!!!! That was a really good day!!!!! :O)

I would check with the Ingles that you shop at regarding their coupon policy. My local Ingles does accept internet coupons, free and more than two. I’m looking forward to shopping there today. : )

    • Thanks for this list! I have gotten so frustrated with Ingles that I don’t even shop there anymore, so I didn’t even realize they were tripling this week! The $1.99 chicken and $1 potatoes are good enough sales though that I’m sure I’ll go at least for that, so I’ll be sure to triple some coupons while I’m there! Plus, I’ll post a link to your post on my blog!

    • Mamaofoneinga

Triple coupons but beware! I went to ingles today and noticed before i paid that they did not triple my coupons… I was at self checkout and took them to the cashier and she said they manually had to put them in for the triple… she did and I knew something wasn’t right till I got home (b/c jimmy and amber were distracting me) and looked at the receipt … she charged me for each coupon instead of taking it off… so not only did she not triple them… she overcharged me! I called up there and then took the receipt back and they fixed it…

and there price on cokes is not ringing up right so they had to fix that too… and there signs are not right for the sales items… some of the items in the ad were not right on the shelf… I told the manager about that too~ lol…

while I was there the second time i used a “free” coupon that i had for a free flat bread melt… they took it b/c they had already messed up with me today but the manager said to the cashier that they don’t do it normally but for me today they would… when I asked what was wrong with the coupon… I was told they do not take any “free” coupons any longer b/c there are so many fake ones on the internet! I told her this one was mailed to me so it was good… lol…crazy… not enjoying shopping there like I was but it is so darn close to me! It is a big new store but a lot of hassle with their coupon policies.

It’s too bad they don’t triple all the time and get it into there computer system instead of manual entry of triple coupons.

    • Cori

My total at Ingles after adv card savings was $82, I used 24 coupons – including one “Free” mustard. They tripled all of them and did not even count them. Stallings Road, Taylors, SC store. Paid $49.67 and saved 67.25 total.

    • Bree

The store I go to they don’t even look at the coupons, they just swipe them and if they go they go, they didn’t even count the triple coupons. It is interesting but I think I only saw two other people with coupons. The cashiers couldn’t believe how much I was saving and wanted to know where I got all the coupons from.

    • Diane

I went to our Ingles here in Greer on Monday. I had five coupons .50 and under that I was using. My total was $21. All of them doubled, but the manager said he had to enter them in to triple them and would only triple three because my total was no longer over $20 after the coupons were doubled. I find Ingles pretty confusing.

    • Just curious…. the Internet coupons state do not double or triple…. will Ingels still triple them?? Thought I would check first! Thanks!

    • Helen

I just went to 2 ingles and they didn’t have the Arm and Hammer HE detergent, Suddenly Salad, Eggland Cage free eggs and the family size luzianne tea. Those were the only things I went for and TWO stores didn’t have a single item. This is the first time I have done the southern savers for Ingles. I usually only do Publix (love them) and some Kroger (o.k). I have also had the same problem with CVS. They seem to not carry a lot of the special items. It is frustrating when you go through the process to get ready before shopping and they don’t have ANYTHING you went their to get. Sorry, Ladies! I had to vent! :-) Still love saving money and thanks to all that contribute to this website and blog. – Helen

    • Annette

I shop at my local ingles quite often. I have noticed that if you go the first day of the ad, they are out of ALOT! Just ask when they are getting another shipment. I have NEVER had a problem with any printed coupons or “free” coupons. I even used one for some frozen ice stuff, and I didn’t realize that I bought the wrong brand, but they still took my coupon! :o) Their BOGO items also ring up half price, so you don’t have to buy 2. I love that! Just make sure to watch the register, there are times (just like with any other store) that things do not ring up correctly. If you notice that a coupon didn’t get taken off, or something was rung up incorrectly, go to CS and tell them, they’ll give you cash back.

    • stacey1996

The u-scan dose not triple coupons so you have to give them to the attendant to have them tripled, but i used a .50 off Frenchs worchestire and got 2 for free, and if you buy the small jar the Mt. Olive relish is also free.

    • Vicki :)

      Thanks for the tips all!
I especially appreciate the news on the Stallings Rd Ingles. I usually go to the one on 290 and they always give me a huge hassle, so I may go the extra distance to the other one this time!

    • Jenny

Just had a great trip at the Stallings Rd Ingles in Taylors. I used around 40 coupons (tripled 22!). I spent $50 and saved $62 between coupons and sales. I didn’t have a bit of trouble with any of my coupons, my cashier was very competent and friendly, and she never even counted my coupons(although I did and I was within the limits.) Thanks for the match-up lists!

    • Carrie B

I just shopped at the Rockmart, GA store and almost everything that I purchased had a .50 or .40 cent coupon (12 items had and 4 didnt) and they tripled ALL of them. Also, if anyone like Wylers Soup Starters (I got Homestyle Beef Veggie) the sign on the shelf says that they are on sale for 2/$5.00 (normally $3.27) but it rang up at normal price–if you take receipt to customer service–they will give you your money back because it rang up wrong (the trick is not to say anything to the cashier because they will just correct the price at register) And I LIKE FREE!!!! I have also gone back and got one each day

    • Chris

I do not live near an Ingles but just so happened to be visiting my cousin in Asheville this week. Her ingles would not triple any of the printed coupons that said “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE”. They did double but would not triple.

    • TammynSC

The same thing happened to me in Anderson, SC. (Sorry this comment is so late. I think this happened 7/24 or 7/25). They would not triple any of the internet coupons that had “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE” on them. Also, it was so confusing to watch them ring up items. I went to two different stores. At each store, I picked the clerk who didn’t triple until after scanning ALL of the coupons. After paying and then looking over my receipt at store #2, I realized several coupons had not tripled. I want to CS and even THEY couldn’t figure it out so the clerk had to dig back through his drawer looking for my coupons. I had to help him find my coupons LOL! I ended up getting a refund of about $6 but WHAT A HASSLE! If they’re going to run these specials, they should train their people better!
