Jenny, you're awesome! Thank you so much! :)

    • Thanks for all your hard work Jenny! I didn't see anything that I need this week so I think I am going to skip a week and enjoy the beach! :-)

    • Angela

I have a Question:My Krogers has the Lady Speed Stick 2.3oz. on sale for $2.00.I have 4@ 75cent coupons.Would it not be a better deal to use these on sale at krogers for bigger size deo, than to use them to buy Travel size like I keep reading in post?Plus my Walmart & Walgreens have been out of the travel sizes for months..I'm just starting to build my stockpile & was just curious which would be a better deal?Thanks..

      • Peggy

This is how I decide:  1) Figure per ounce cost of product less coupon, i.e. regular size deodorant is $2 – .75 coupon = 1.25/2.3 ounces = 0.54 per ounce.  Do the same calculation with the travel size and see which is cheaper per ounce.  2) How often do you need to buy this product and how often do you find coupons for this product?  If the travel size is a better deal and will last until you get more coupons and find a sale, then buy them.  If you’ll need more deodorant before the next sale and end up buying it at full price, then buy the full size.

        • Angela

Thanks so much Peggy. That was alot of help.Have a great day!!!

        • Elyn

Of course there is also the incalculable environmental cost of buying a ton of trial sizes and all of their packaging.

      • Mary

I think the larger size with the coupon is usually a better deal.  I wondered about using coupons to buy samples, too.  However, I have recently decided that, if the coupon is about to expire and I don't really need the item right away, it's better for me to get the free trial size.  In your situation, I'd probably get the bigger size at Kroger.  I am currently really stocked up on detergent so rather than throw away all those Tide coupons when they expire, I have been getting the samples free at Walmart.

        • Angela

Thanks Mary.I'll remember that:If my coupons are about to expire and I'm Stocked up just use on Travel size.I think I will buy the bigger size since I'mTrying to get my stockpile..

          • Lowe Jada

I usually only buy the travel sizes during this season so I can send them with my boys for camp. I am an assistant Scout Master and we have about10 boys going to camp and the lighter smaller bottles work great for their backpacks. I

        • CristalHughes

Oh, really that is a wonderful idea especially for going out of town and you have a washer and dryer in your vacation home. I think I will see if mine are still usable and head to walmart. Thanks for the tip!!

      • Mary Ellen

I don't do the travel size things very often.  If it is an item that I truly use, I am not concerned about whether it is “free”.  I want the best deal possible for the largest amount I can get if it is an item I use a lot of and I don't have 50 coupons to buy 50 smaller items (yes, slight exaggeration).  For instance, a couple of months ago there was a coupon out for $7 off Allegra OTC and everyone was talking about using it on the 5 count Allegra at Target to get it free.  My son takes it daily, so to me, it was a much better deal for me to use my $7 coupon (and I had $2 Target coupons) to buy a 30 count box in which I ended up paying $8.99.  I bought 6 of the 30 count boxes for $54 and he will have his medicine for 6 months.  Yes, I could have gotten 6 of the 5 count boxes for free but that would have only lasted a month and then I would have to pay a lot more because there haven't been any more of the high value coupons available.  Hope all of this makes sense.  It is not always better to buy bigger, but many times it is. Like I said, free is great, but you can't always do it that way.

        • Angela

          Thanks Mary Ellen.You made a great point…

    • yoyomom

I just came back from Kroger (zip 30097-Sugarloaf Pkwy, GA.) Very disappointed. They said, ONLY 2 COUPONS per day!!!  because of coupon fraud.  I was NOT trying to buy whole 100 boxes of cereal….I just had several coupons to save for my family. I asked if I can separate the transaction, but they said NO.  Hope not all of the Kroger have this policy….

      • Lisab

NO WAY! that is completely absurd. I live right near that one but usually shop at the one in Suwanee.

      • Angela

I didn't have any promblems this morning(I live in Tn).Had 34 coupons and the all went fine..That's not a good thing for your Krogers to do..People will start to shop at others places.Let's face it unless it's on sale and u have a coupon for the sale item,Krogers is higher on most stuff..

      • Vicki

I would call corporate and question this. One thing I have noticed since living in the southeast is noone wants to see you get a great deal. I come into contact with LAZY cashiers who obviously don't feel like keying in or adjusting a coupon or just dealing with the transaction and they definitely try to tell me some off the wall stuff..until I bring corporate into the mix..try it. Another reason you should always bring a copy of the coupon policy from that store..and if the policy changed..ask to see that change!

        • Jkk1110

I asked my customer service people what their policy was and if I could get a copy in writing and she said they didn’t have it written down!!! Ugh how I am supposed to know when someone is just lazy and not doing what they are supposed to? All she told me was that they double coupons up to 50 cents and that I could not stack e-coupons with MQs.

        • Jkk1110

      • Sandy

At my local Krogers (Savannah) the rule is ” 2 like coupons per day” maybe this policy has spread towards you, but they misunderstood. From my understanding the 2 like coupon policy was decided by our DM. I'd definitely call someone to verify or clarify :)

      • yoyomom

I still do not understand why they are so strict to use coupons.  I maybe go there and ask next time.   Thank you.

    • Mary

And check your savingstar account again if you haven't.  I had $10.89 in my account this morning after only 1 month.  How great is that?  I asked for bank deposit.  I'll let you know if I have issues with it.

      • Angela

How Long does it usually take to show up.I used several a couple weeks ago and they are not showing up yet?

        • Mary

I strted using the coupons on the 9th.  And they just credited today so…  I did email savingstar and was told that Kroger was taking the full 30 days to send the info in.  Savingstar said they are working with Kroger to speed up the process.

          • Angela

So the ones I used a few weeks ago expired May 31st,but I used them at krogers before May 31st, So they will eventually show up in Savingstar.

            • Mary

              They should.

            • Angela

Thanks a bunch.I'm learning so much from everyone on Southern Savers…

    • savingmomdp

wow, it seems like the pepperidge farms cookies have been on sale 3 weeks now, and Ronzoni pasta, and All detergent on sale again too.. kroger tends to repeat sales alot!  I used 3 1.00 off Ronzoni in Kroger in Alpharetta and they didn't say I had to limit to 2 coupons. But I think they would if I tried getting 20.!

      • Jasmine

I used 12 Ronzoni coupons last week with no hassle.

        • Heather

Ronzoni was also on sale for a 10/10 this week when I went there today I used 5 coupons no hassle

      • Maria

They wont care how many you use, i special ordered 50 bottles of the Chi Chi Salsa and used 50 coupons to make them all free.(not all was mine, a few friends and i just put our coupons together to make one special order)

        • Bonjour4paris

I thought they had a limit of 2 like coupons, am I wrong? I hope so, that would make my shopping trips to Kroger easier!

    • Coupondiva31557

Can you use an ecoupon plus a paper coupon at Kroger and Harvey's?

      • purple

        not at kroger

    • Coupondiva31557

I'm also a little confused about savingstar.  Can I use savingstar and a paper coupon on the same item?

      • Mary

yes.  Savingstar is just like Upromise.  The money goes into an account instead of the amount coming off your checkout total.

        • Does savingstar mail you a card to scan? That was a little confusing to me. I just signed up last week. Thanks!

          • Heather

No u add ur cards to Savingstar. i.e Kroger, CVS Harris Teeter etc from the account page. It loads them to your cards

        • Coupondiva31557

So I can still use a paper coupon also to get the deal right?

    • Kristin

Maybe there will be some good unadvertised specials.

    • J&P

Geesh no Ronzoni $1.00 off coupons

      • Lauren

if i have an kroger ecoupon for $2 off can i use it with a manufacturer paper BOGO?

First let me say.. thank you krogers for not advertising cigs in your ad again this week… however…. send hubby to krogers to pick up a few things… had a raincheck for neiva body wash on sale at 2.49.. had the 3.00 coupons attached… they told hubby he could not get the deal because the coupon was for more that the item cost.. ever heard of rolling the difference into the other items in the buggy like you have done many many many times before…. they didnt even offer to adjust the coupon value down to the item price…. then pointed out that the coupons were expired anyway.. as if that were a better reason not to honor the raincheck and coupons…. the coupons were not expired at the time that the raincheck was issued…   then the cashier took the expired coupons and tossed them… i am soooo done with krogers… i have been couponing for 5 months now and krogers was so much easier to deal then…

      • Heather

I don't even like Krogers … went there today for mostly the unadvertised deals. and NOTHING I went to get worked out right wound up spending more then I saved. Will NOT be doing that again unless it is the best deal on earth. Otherwise they can keep their items and lame deals.

      • Kerry

They are required to honor the raincheck, NOT expired coupons even if the coupons were still good when the raincheck was issued…Sheesh.

        • Jenney

Publix always honor an expired store or manufacture coupon if they don't have the item before coupon expires. Kroger is doing everything they can to ruin the business.

          • Kerry

I know. Publix is awesome while Kroger is, well, NOT! It's funny because it's often Kroger stores on Extreme Couponing, yet in reality, they are often out of stock for weeks at a time (Publix always has items IN stock) and are now getting to be the most strict regarding new coupon policies. I guess they are regretting all that now-not-so-wonderful publicity they soaked up while filming for TLC.

            • Khjbcoupns

i have shopped at kroger for the entire 2 years that we have lived in an area that had a kroger… i loved kroger.. until i started couponing and realizing what bad practices they used.. i always thought that publix was a fancy mans place to shop with higher prices etc… but i am finding that the deals are just as good using the strategies that i have leaned from couponing.. and the customer service is far better…

            • Master_Mom

I’m willing to bet that the Extreme Couponer, TLC & Kroger have already worked out the items the person will be purchasing in advance so that its all in stock. The show wouldn’t be as interesting if it were more realistic -half of everything they want is gone…

          • Khjbcoupns

my thoughts exactly jenney… this type of marketing is know as bait and switch sort of.. they say come get this great deal… oops sorry dont have any more of that one but while your hear go ahead and pick a bunch of other stuff thats not a great. … not a good business practice.. cant fool all the people all the time..

      • Master_Mom

My Kroger told me they would still honor the coupon, but they never have the product and there are $2 off Nivea body wash in this week’s RP so this ought to be interesting…. I’m thinking of going to Wal-Mart & having them price match my $2.49 rain check (if they will) and using the current $2 off coupons, $.51 a piece isn’t bad :o)

        • Anonymous

Walgreens has them 3/100. Use buy2 get 1 free coupon and (2) 2.00/1 q. If you don’t have the buy2/1free q, use the (2) 2.00/1 and get them .50 ea.

    • Coupondiva31557

So I can use a savingstar and a paper coupon on the same item so I still get my discount, right?

      • Heather

      • Peanut2011

Not at the Kroger  in Smyrna.

        • Mommy2Boys

You should be able to.  Savingstar will not show up on your receipt as coming off and is not affiliated with Kroger at all.

        • MommaJenn

there is a Kroger just down  the road from you. around cumberland mall

      • Sewingmom2

you cannot use a digital coupon and a paper coupon any more.  Stopped a few weeks ago

      • Abi

You cannot use an ecoupon from the kroger site but YES you are correct, you can use a savingstar ecoupon and paper coupon on the same product – savingstar is a separate company from Kroger and Kroger has no way of knowing those coupons are even loaded onto your card.

    • Vivianmarie244

Not a single thing on the list that I want.  Kroger really needs to step it up to get me back in the store.  One less store I will be going to this week.

    • thanks for posting!

    • Itisjustme

Why do so many people say “krogerS” – there is no S on Kroger!

      • Heather

        just to annoy you……….. clearly

        • Mommy2Boys

      • Bee

Same reason some people say “Walmarts”.

      • Kat

It's the same people who say 'Aldi's' and 'Target's'…annoys the crap out of me too!

      • Cori C.

I know there's not an S on the end but the 800 number on the back of the Kroger card is 1-800-Krogers…just sayin'

    • ellen

I received a $5 Iam's coupon in the mail.  This will make a good deal when I print the rebate form for the buy one get one free Iam's catfood.  Know this week is not that good but I have gotten some great deals at Kroger in the past.

    • Rgriner1602

Does Kroger double coupons in Virgina, & if so what days??

      • Spiritwolf964

Mine in Lynchburg does everyday up to 50c.

    • devgwen

      So bored with Kroger lately…

      • Amanda K.

I only shop here for the really good deals, but since they have stopped taking the sc's w/ the mc's, I just try to get my gas points and that's about it. I have gotten where I really like Publix and Food Lion.

    • Bhawkins0711

I wonder if the boneless new york strip is a whole strip or individual steaks??

    • How do you get the P&G$110 booklet. I haven't see this.  Where do you find it.

      • it was from mailing in receipts with $50 of p&g products. they usually do it quarterly. they also offered it in a facebook promotion

      • Jessica

        look in your Sunday newspaper

      • pdsmama

It was available last year when you bought $50 in product and sent in for it with the receipts.  Sorry you missed it, but things like that come around again.

        • kristen

i got it a few months ago by requesting it online… I didn't buy the $50 in product like y'all are talking about tho… i guess i was lucky!

      • Ftk

I contacted P&G, no plans to repeat this offer from last year

    • 6th week in a row I won't head to Kroger. I <3 Publix!

    • mommyof1

most of this stuff was on sale last week and i have used my coupons up.. its like the same items again and again.. month after month..

    • Guest

Re: Bad Kroger & Nivea deal… I wanted to do the Nivea deal when it was $2.49 Mega Event but they were sold out. I asked someone if they had more or would be getting more soon that my coupons expired on such and such date. They said they didn't know when they would get the items in but they could take my coupons and do the special order for me and if they don't get the items in in a timely manner that they would give me a refund. (Can't argue with that!) When they done the special order and took the coupons, I had over $13.43 in overage! They didn't know what to do, so called Corporate and asked. They were told that if there's $5.00 or more in overage that they were to put it on a Kroger gift card. So… I got $13.43 on a Kroger gift card and if all of the body wash is not in next week, I get a refund on what I am not able to get. (They do have some in now, but not much.) Yes, they have already got paid for the coupons I'm sure, but I've already got the better end of the deal and I've not even got the product or the refund yet. I am one who loves Kroger. Love their Managers Markdown sections!!! Yes, Kroger has slow weeks such as this one, but so does other stores. Can't go to every store every week getting every sale or we would have to rent a warehouse for all the deals wouldn't we? LOL!

    • Bee

Odd that the sale items keep repeating. Upside is that I've probably received a nice coupon magazine every week from Kroger for about the last 4 weeks. Each contains on average 15 coupons for higher dollar amounts than normal.

    • Kroger butter is showing 2.79 in my ad (Middle Tennessee).

    • Cindy

Where do you get a coupon booklet from Kroger?

      • tallybee

the were having a tasting booth set up and they were handing out green booklet with coupons  in them we got 10 booklet with 5 us going to both of the booths

    • ctyankee

Heads up for the Southeast. Hershey bars are Buy 2 get 1. Not such a great deal.

    • Ms_jenijac

I went to kroger last night to catch some of the deals from last week, buyer beware!!  i had several ecoupons on my card which did not come off with my purchases, also had a coupon for a free garnier hair color, which was on sale for $6.99, but when scanned it only gave me credit for $2.90!!!  i have emailed corporate and waiting on response, but got home and got to looking at my receipt, and noticed the mistakes….so i guess i will have to stand at checkout and watch everything that gets scanned!!!!  yes i know this is only $6 or so…but that $6 can add up, and i wonder how many people this happens too and they dont think to check..hmmmm

    • Sadieky1974

What does the acorn mean on the list?

      • Couponpatsy

Stock up price.  The price is just about as low as you gonna get it!

      • Jenni

An acorn means the item is at the lowest price and to stock up ion it

    • Rcbabysitter

The BarS coupon in my circular was for $1.00 off when you buy 2.. so it makes them only 0.50 at the lowest..

      • Dtcox1

      • erin

    • Sadieky1974

My RP 5/22 doesn't have any Ragu coupons?

    • Jennifer

I am just starting to get into couponing. I have read LOTS of sites to try and gather as much info as possible. I am seeing more and more negative things about Kroger. I have a Kroger, Food Lion and Publix close to me. My question is, what is the best one to stick with? My husband wanted to try the Kroger because they double up to $1 here. But, we really like Publix better. (haven't couponed at either one of them that is just what we think of the stores). Suggestions?

      • Katie

Publix is more exciting, fun, and coupon friendly . . . hands down!

The first time I ever used coupons was at Kroger.  It was ok . . . but the savings wasn't that impressive (21%) due to the lousy ecoupons (that do not double) and they only double mfc up to .50.  Customer service is awful and difficult to deal with when it comes to getting assistance.  Not to mention the fact that they are ALWAYS stocking items during their busiest times (which makes it difficult to have access to products you want when all their boxes are in the way). Also, they were having a huge sale on their meats and I didn't noticed that the sale prices were not taken until I got home (which is why my savings was awful). I was really upset, but decided to lick my wounds and learn not to trust Kroger. I only shop at Kroger for meats and produce (they have better pricing than Publix) and when they have 10/$10 deals. You MUST watch them like a hawk at check-out.

Just this Friday, I went to Publix and was greeted by 4 people eagerly asking me if I needed help finding anything. Around 15 min later, 3 people continued to ask if I needed help, including the store manager. Love it! I had my 6 yr old with me and at check out he had to go to the bathroom.  I asked the cashier to continue while I escort my son to the bathroom (he drank a huge bottle of Powerade in the car on the way to the store).  I got back & all of the coupons were scanned properly and my savings was exactly as I planned it. That is how much faith I have in my Publix store (count on them getting it right). If you have any questions regarding coupons, they actually go out of their way to help you save $$ (with a smile on their faces). Oh, and with the Publix yellow & green flyer deals/coupons & mfc, I saved 72%!

        • Sb

Kroger has better meat sales and when I'm out of an item and need to buy generic Kroger is usually cheaper. I also buy my milk there. It's usually a dollar cheaper than everyone else. That being said, I love Publix so much more! Friendlier people, better coupon policy, and great b1g1 sales.

      • Babybird125

if your kroger doubles up to a dollar stick with that

      • Rrbarr

Try all of them until you can see which one works best for you.  Where I am, Publix is consistently coupon friendlier hands down and their stores are always CLEAN.   And b/c you can stack either their store Qs or their competitor Qs w/ manufacturer Qs on top of their buy one get one deals it makes for great deals every week!  Kroger accepts their store Qs and MQs but not competitor Qs and their store here in Griffin is always crowded and dirty and their coupon policy is constantly changing.

      • itismedia

Are you in Savannah? I just ask because of the stores you listed. =+) If you post your location you may get more personal feedback from shoppers in your area. HTH

        • Jennifer

I am actually in the Athens area :)

          • I'm in the Athens area too.  Where is a Food Lion in the area?  Thanks.

    • I just called my closest Kroger because I noticed when I went last night, my 2 $.50 off coupons didn't double.  So I wanted to see if there was a change in policy that I should be aware of.  Apparently now only certain coupons double and the computer does it automatically so the cashiers have no control over it. I will be asking for a written coupon policy next time I am over there.  This is in the Athens, GA area.

      • Vivianmarie244

This happened to me the other day.  Didn't realize it until after I left the store. :(  I'm in Columbia SC so must be a new policy that spreading.  Booo!!!

    • Kipppp

Will Kroger allow me to use a mfg. coupon and a store coupon  on the 1 item?

      • Rrbarr

      • Sb

Kroger doesn't have store coupons. If you are talking about the coupons they mail you or ecoupons they are actually manufacturer coupons and you can only use one per item.

        • BAS

Actually, there are Kroger store coupons.  I get 4 coupons (along with rebate checks) every quarter through my Kroger Mastercard.

    • Kipppp

Will Kroger allow me to use a mfg. coupon and a store coupon  on the 1 item?

    • Scrappin_terri

The best advice I can give is if you have a Publix go there!  They are consistently good to couponers and want your business.  Kroger, however, continues to change their policies unannounced to make couponing harder.  If you are lucky enough to have a good kroger, you are one of the lucky few left!  Until Jan I LOVED my Kroger but every single time I try to shop there now I leave even more frustrated!  All I can say is couponer beware…check and double check their policies before loading your cart.  Last week I was informed at checkout of a new policy they only accept 3 printed coupons per customer but there is not a written policy yet……

    • Brandylewis01

I shop at both Kroger and Publix. Publix is more customer friendly, but so far knock on wood I haven't really had any complaints about Kroger. Well except the sale the last few weeks haven't been great. Guess you cant have a great sale every week!!!

      • Minpinfin

All the Kroger stores I've been in around Kennesaw/Marietta area here in GA are dirty and poorly organized. I only walk in their doors when I'm walking out with completely FREE merchandise.
I would NEVER do my reg shopping there.
Publix is the complete opposite-wonderfully clean, well-stocked aisles, very friendly employees that are well-trained. A totally different shopping experience.

    • Honeysmith

I'm thinking it's another Aldi and Walmart week for me. Never thought Kroger's changes in policy along with boring ads would drive me back to Walmart! Haven't shopped there consistently in 4 years, but this is two weeks in a row!

    • Kimmie

Well I have only been couponing for about a month now but I have not had any problems with kroger here in Richmond,Va. Matter of fact I went yesterday and purchased 8 suave body washes. They were on sale for 1.67 each. I used four B1G1 coupons( which automatically scan for $3.00 off) and eight .25 cent off one body wash coupons together which yielded me an overage which they gave me bsck in CASH. I will be going back to get more of this body wash, lol.

      • kristen

i know, mine scanned for $3 also… they were $1.49 at my publix, so i guess i got both free!! yay!

      • Wow, they gave you cash? Last time I had a total of -$.04  they still paid me pay the sales tax, even though my total was a negative number!

        • dsquared9895

you always have to pay sales tax when using coupons

      • Erin

I don't know if I am misreading your post, but twelve manufacturer coupons on eight items is coupon fraud. The most you could have legitimately used was four bogos and four .25/1 coupons.

    • Unless it's something that is only going to be a better deal IF I buy it at Kroger, here lately I've been price matching my ads at Walmart.  I know, I know it's going to Walmart, but the closest Kroger is 20 mi away while Walmart is 1. I also do this with the drug store ads. I find that when I do things this way, I buy what I NEED instead of going for all the deals.

    • msmith

so just a heads up, went to kroger today to get the buy 10 get 5 free sports drink deal. I'm not sure if thats a great price on 32 oz. gatorade but it didn't sound too bad $.67/each just wish I had coupons for them. Anyways we decided to get 30 since it said limit of 3 rewards per transaction. So when we checked out we should have gotten 10 for free, after checking my receipt before leaving the store I noticed it only gave us 5 free. Took it to the customer service desk and the lady fixed it and gave me $5 back. So just be on the look out to make sure it rings up right! Don't pay for anything you shouldn't have to pay for:)

    • kristen

could not find the pepperidge farm cookies at my kroger, and didn't see them in my ad either. disappointing!  also the bar-s hotdogs had already been cleared, as were the bic razors. publix will be getting more of my business as usual this week!

      • Perma_smile2002

Kroger is great about giving rainchecks!  If they are out of something I will stop by the service desk and grab one or I will take my ad to Walmart but only if my coupon is over the doubler price.

    • Valeriewheeler

      Do the digital coupons double?

      • Sb

        No :(

      • Holtonsandra

I live in Alabama and was told that my digital coupons would not double. I stopped using them for that very reason. I would rather use a paper one and have it double.

        • Valeriewheeler

Thanks…I didn't think they doubled.  I was so confused by my last receipt – I just couldn't figure it out.  Thanks again for the reply.

    • Kristin

Does anyone know what Kroger's policy is when 1) something rings up at the incorrect price? And 2) when a cashier does not scan a coupon?  I caught the coupon problem before leaving the store and was reimbursed for face value.  I just now saw that one of my items scanned incorrectly.  It's not worth going back for $0.29, unless they are going to give me the entire price back.  I'm in the Atlanta (southeast) region if it makes a difference.  TIA.

      • devgwen

I am in the Cincinnati Region (OH) and my store has a “Scan Right Guarentee” which I believe most stores have.  They give you back the total price of the item up to $5.00.  They will also check the shelf tag to make sure it was incorrect so I would give them a call.  At my store, they pull the incorrect tags when they realize it is wrong or expired or whatever.  I have had a hard time proving that they cashier didn't scan a coupon as they are all listed generically on the receipt.  I usually count it as a loss and try to watch closer next time.  It seems like every checkout at least 1 or 2 coupons are missed.

        • Kristin

Thanks. The coupon was not scanned, but I was reimbursed for that at CS since I caught it before leaving.  I bought four items (all the same) off the clearance shelf.  Three rang correctly, one did not.  Sounds like it might be worth stopping by.

      • Beepampered

I'd call. If I go to the service desk before I leave the store, they usually only give me the difference in error. They have given me the whole value before but not everytime. Perhaps it depends on the clerk and/or the way you approach them.

        • Kelly Valentine

My Kroger customer service told me you have to ask specifically for the item free.  Her manager said only give them the difference unless you ask for it free!

      • The rule at my Kroger (Houston, TX) is they have a “right scan guarantee.”  If it doesn't ring up correctly they reimburse you the FULL VALUE of the product. I bought cereal once that rang up .20 over what the sign said.  They gave me the FULL VALUE of the cereal back (2.25).

        • Chelshataysam

I was in Murfreesboro, TN store when pork loin rang up wrong and they gave me back over $15…which was the full price of it.

    • Maggiemayi05

Pepperidge Farm Cookies were not on sale for $1.99 at my kroger (Nashville)…anyone else have a problem W/ this???

      • Tdabney427

In my area they were not on sale for the price listed.

      • Angeyanc

They were on sale last week for $1.99 and I used the .5o cent coupon and got them for a dollar..this was in Franklin :)

      • Denise

Yeah I'm in Smyrna and the sale ad is never the same as here.  If you know of anyone that does the match up for the Nashville area please let me know.  Thanx.

        • Serattcoupons

I'm in Smyrna, too.  I usually just review the ad after I make a list on this site.  I know that Tshanina from Thrifty T's Treasures is trying to get corporate to let her do the matchups for our area.

          • Denise

Great thank you.  Yeah I've tried to do the match ups but I'm just not that good at it and I'd love to shop at Kroger more because Kroger gives the high school band $4 for every $100 you spend.

    • germangirl

Nothing here for me this week!

    • I have quick question. With the deal on power aid the buy 10 get 5 free. I also have a coupon that states the same thing. Could I use it and get 10 free?

      • Mccrited

Yes you can.  I purchased 10 gatorades got 5 more free with Kroger's deal and then used the yellow coupon hanging on the gatorades that say get 5 free when you purchase 10.  I got 15 gatorades for $5.30.

    • Mom of 4

A B1G1 sale with a B1G1 coupon always confuses me… how many do I have to buy and how many do I get free??  I'm thinking I buy 1 and get 2 free …. help!

      • it depends – is your store a true BOGO store, or half price when bogo?

      • Stacielovescoupons

For each coupon you have you will get 2 items snd both wiling free, because the store is giving you one and the manufacture is giving you the other!!!

        • Stacielovescoupons

I don't know what my phone did to that msg…suppose to say “both will be free”!

        • This is ONLY true if BOGO doesn't ring up half price. A lot of places, BOGO means half price.

      • Hawkinscandi

If the coupon code ends in the numbers “01” you do NOT have to BUY anything. You just GET the item it says you GET free. This blew my mind! I know it is hard to understand that this is FREE merchandise. Kroger is usually good about giving me these. I have heard other stores give people a hard time.  My advice: Find the stores that will accept these coupons and shop there! :-)  (scenerio: I have (4) B1G1 Old spice Body wash coupons:  I will get 4 body washes for FREE!!!!  Of course, you can buy 4 and get 4 for a total of 8 bottles…but why do so if you don't have too? I prefer to just wait for more B1G1 coupons! ;-) good luck!

        • Proudeodwife13

Ok I have those coupons too.. but does the Old Spice have to be B1G1 in the store deal also before you get all 4 free?

        • Mglenn3132

That really works? I don't see how it would

        • amynky

so should i call the local kroger and ask them before showing up with my 01 coupons?

          • amynky

so i just called 3 krogers in town and they sd that is not how it works it is whatever is printed i thought i'd call first

    • Bec Zhang

Has anyone else been told that Kroger will only take to IP coupons per day? I was not aware of this policy. Is this something new or am I confused?

      • Bec Zhang

That was supposed to say two IP coupons a day. Thanks

      • LO

The policy is two like coupons per transaction.  But you can use as many as you want as long as you don't have more than 2 like coupons of one item – make sense?  Some stores were confused on this thinking it was only 2 period, but the Fountain City store clarified it that it is indeed a limit of 2 per like coupons.  If your store tells you different – please ask them to contact corporate and verify their policy.

        • My kroger will allow 10.

        • Bec Zhang

Thanks LO.  I was aware of the limit of 2 like coupons.  I think maybe this cashier was confused.  Customer service was closed when I was there so I am hoping to get come clarification for myself and the cashiers tomorrow.

I go to Clinton Highway and they accept however many you present.

    • super excited new couponer

got the Ronzonni pasta but the Crest toothpaste coupon and the Scott toilet paper coupon did not double(the last 2 were e coupons). is that how e coupons work? very new to this and need all the help I can get

      • Cori C.

no. e-coupons do not double unfortunately. And you cannot use them in conjunction with manufacturer's coupons because e-coupons are man q's.

      • Jackie

if you look online you can usually find a paper version of the ecoupon or possible in the paper.  my rule is if it is under 0.50 then i look for the paper if it is over 0.50 then i load it to my card.  my store will only double up to 0.50 so if i can find paper and have it double it is worth the effort.

e-coupon does not double so what i have begun to do is not load e-coupon until I'm sure I do not have a mgt. coupon because mgt. coupon double. I ran in to this with a vlasic e-coupon, i had a .55 mgt coupon, the cashier gave me back my mgt. coupon and told me i had a e-coupon for the pickles which was for only .50 and did not double ;(

    • Kmed1224

Kroger in Oak Ridge, TN (near Knoxville) has always doubled coupons to .50 cents..  now this evening they only brought the coupon to the value of the item.  AND they coupon policy at the service desk did not mention this AT ALL…  sure wish they would make up their mind..

    • Alpaniag

Hey a quick question, if I use a BOGO Q on suave on sale for $1.67 and a Q for .25/1 would that be acceptable? I thought you can only use 1 Mfg Q per item.

      • Lauren

you can only use 1 manufacturer coupon per 1 item..since you would be getting 2 items the .25/1 (which should double to .50/1) should count toward the item you're getting free.

    • Denise

Does anyone know a website that does the Kroger sales in the Nashville area?  My Kroger sales are never the same as this one.

      • Biggs1303

I believe you have to go by the Louisville ads, depending which part of Nashville you are in.  West Nashville would go by the Memphis ads.

        • Denise

Do you know which website does that?  Thanx.

    • Lauren

if i have a $2 off one gillete bodywash kroger ecoupon and a manufacturer paper BOGO gillete bodywash can i use both?  since its 2 items?

      • Lmarmontello

I tried it today and they wouldn't let me.

      • Paul

You should be able to use both.  I might recommend using B1G1 first, then handing over Kroger card with ecoupon.  If you used $2 first, B1G1 might only apply to $1.49 remain from one bottle.  Anyone have any thoughts on that?

      • Angelique

Kroger is funny about combining BOGO coupons. I used one recently with an Oral B toothbrush and I wasn't allowed to use my $1/1 coupon with it. It made no sense since I was paying full price for one but getting one for free. I wasn't trying to use two $1/1 coupons but they still wouldn't let me use it. They kept trying to tell me something about the purchase price being changed with the BOGO but that simply wasn't true. I wasn't going to argue all day over a $1 but it was still frustrating.

I went to Wal-Mart today and they price matched all the deals I wanted from Kroger. It was all in stock, didn't have to get any rain checks and saved gas because WM is closer. I do all my couponing/shopping on Mondays and this has been the easiest, least stressful Monday I've had in weeks. Should have done this sooner.

    • Dtcox1

The gatorade is an awesome deal if you can find the yellow coupons hanging on the bottles.  I went to Kroger in Griffin, Ga and bought 10 gatorade and got 5 more free with Kroger's deal and then used the yellow coupon hanging on the neck of the bottles saying get 5 free when you purchase 10.  I paid $5.30 for 15 bottles of gatorade.  I did this scenario twice

    • When looking through my SS 5/22 I found a nice little surprise. Heinz Ketchup in my SS was .50 off which doubles up to a dollar making it .99 each. YAY!!!!!

    • Booklist12

    • Thenoormanfamily

Does anyone know if you can print coupons in black and white?

      • ashley

      • Dan

absolutely! and draft-mode usually works well as long as you've got enough ink. I set my inkjet to always to draft black & white and never had a problem.

    • Amanda

Just FYI….My Heinz coupons were for .50/1 which doubled making it .99 each.  I am a rockstar at my house because I came home with 6 bottles of ketchup!!!!

    • Booklist12

Am I totally wrong, but the All detergent is on sale for $2.99 and I have a $1 off mfg. coupon and a $1 off SavingStar coupon. Wouldn't that make the All $.99 or no?

      • Heartly23

in a matter of speaking yes..you will pay $1.99 at the register and your savingstar will go into your savingstar account so you still get the savings just not all at the time of purchase.

    • AngieN

The Ronzini Garden Delight 12oz pasta rang up at $1.99, and that is what the sticker said on the shelf.  Was it supposed to be $1??  All the other Ronzini pastas mentioned above were $1 on the shelf but not the Garden Delight.  Anyone else have this issue?

      • Judy Lynn Steele

They are 10 for 10 ($1) at my store, (Calhoun Ga)

    • busymom4

I am confused about the way the new saving star thing works Do they take that price off at the register of that coupon or what  and at Kroger they do not take the ecoupons plus the man coupons at the same time for the same product correct???  So therefore how is the saving star saving money if the ecoupon does not double and they do not take both Sorry confused

      • In the simplest terms- the savingstar coupon is irrelivant to your purchase or any other coupons used. It doesn't come off your purchase, it goes into a special account you set up and link to your card. You then cash out (I think they mail checks? maybe send via paypal as well?). It isn't considered a true ecoupon and can be used with other ecoupons or mfg coupons.

        • Think of savingstar as a rebate program. The paper and digital coupons you use are totally irrelevant to your credit you get from savingstar.

Does anyone know if the Mahatma Rice is free again this week??

      • Savinggracemartin2008

At my stores (Publix and Kroger) there is always a variety of Mahatma that is free. The package is smaller but they have the spice blends. Usually .89 cents at either store so it's a money maker at Publix. Not as much rice but a good trade I think.

      • Dtcox1

sorry not in v a this week

    • Mellyjelly79

I just got through shopping at my Kroger store in Columbus, IN and you can no longer use paper coupons combined with your e-coupons (if it is the same item). They put a block on it on all registers now. It used to only be screened at the self-check out lines. I am very frustrated. They told me it is because of the “extreme couponers”. Now I am going to have to be really selective with their sales since I can't combine both and really save. They would not even take my Kroger coupon combined with an e one…

    • Sarden3

I was in Kroger's Knoxville, Tn Friday and posted at the register was 4x gas points with the purchase of gift cards…… Can't purchase Kroger gift cards or Visa…but the others qualify.  I plan to purchase Home Depot gift cards since we need items from there and get my gas points !!!!
