      • Thall561

        I have seen worse

      • I agree. Nothing on here strikes me as being a “must have” price. I am hoping that the Publix ad is better than this.

Do you mean my comment about the Cart Buster sale?

        • Carlene

How do you know that next weeks  is gonna be a CART BUSTER ?

          • WendiBrooke

I have my sources which are not hard to find at all.

    • Cjaj

anyone know where I can get the field hotdog coupons?. I didn't get them in my insert.

      • Bucknutt25

check the companies website and see if they have an email address. Tell them you don't get coupons for them and you would like some. Sometimes the company will give you great coupons themselves.

        • Cjaj

          Thank you!

    • Jcwiakala_44

Food Lion's ad was worse.  But this isn't so hot.  I'll try to stock up on the best bargains, but it's not a whole lot to shop from a grocery standpoint.

    • Ibdqt34

For the General Mills cereal, does anyone know what this means: Buy (4), get (2) Free Kroger Milk, 1 gallon, or Buy (4), get $6 off instantly (deal varies regionally).

I mean is it a coupon / catalina you get for the free milk or does it come off instantly? I'd hate to get in line to pay for it and it doesn't come off…

      • Nekiahhong

It is advertised special in circular. You don't need any coupon for that deal, they just make it better.

      • Mel

It's one or the other… either you get free milk OR you get $6 off instantly.  Not sure how the free milk works–maybe a coupon for your next purchase, but the $6 is just as it says… instant at the register when you buy 4 participating products.

    • Baileysince1991

I plan on getting cereal with the instant 6.00 and some coupons I have it will make for 28 cents cereal. Not too shabby :)

      • watkins

how! its our favirote cearl were in ga were you get milk

    • Amy

Does a anyone know if I do the purina deal, get two bags of dog food for 12.99, then two bags of Beggin' strips, AND use the B1G1 coupon for the beggin strips, will both bags of beggin strips count towards the $30 deal for the catalina?

    • Kristan

      Thanks, Jenny!! :-)

    • Coupon Gal

My ad has the 2 gal of free milk…..I don't drink Kroger milk.  Anyone know where they're taking the $6 off at?  If it's close enough I may drive there to get the better deal!

      • Mel

        Here in Virginia…

        • Nancy

What exactly is the cereal/milk deal in Virginia?  Are the Nature Valley cereal bars included as participating products along with the cereal?

          • Peggy

It looks like the Nature Valley cereal bars are included.  However, I would like to know if the Nature Valley granola thins are also included.  I see that Jenny did not include any links for those coupons.

            • Nancy

Thanks, Peggy!  The granola thins are probably not included  :(  I LOVE those, too!

            • watkins

yes they are in ga. go to i heart kroger and they'll show you

          • Mel

I'm in Virginia and we don't have the milk deal–we have the $6 wyb 4 deal.  Maybe it's different around the state.  Nothing about Nature Valley cereal bars here…

            • Nancy

              Thanks, Mel!

            • Mel

I hope I'm wrong… just didn't see it in my ad.

        • Terri

where in va and how can I find out about my store

          • Mel

I'm not sure.  I get my Kroger ad on Friday before it starts.  Ours is actually buy 4 participating GM cereals at $2.99 each and save $6 for a total of $1.49 each after discount.  Oh, I'm in central VA but most of the state has the same ad usually (from what I've seen in the past).

            • Erin L.

How do you get the ad early?

            • Mel

I'm in a small town and we get our local paper Wednesday and Friday.  It just comes in the Friday paper.  I guess otherwise it wouldn't come until the following Wednesday, halfway through the week.

            • gardengirl

You can go to Krogers website, login and click on my weekly ad. On Saturday's (my ad starts on Sunday) the site then lists the dates for this weeks ad and the dates for the ad starting tomorrow.  I click on tomorrows dates to see that ad.

    • Sonia

My SS from 6/26 also has a $4 off of 4 purina dog snacks. Might be regional only though– I'm in Georgia!

    • Heatround77

how do you know if your store is taking the 6 off ceral?  the online ad in GA only says free milk

      • SuperSaver

That's why she said it's regional, you're offered one or the other. I'm in GA too and would much rather have the $6 off but here we get the free milk :( . I only drink soy and have no need for it.

        • Heatround77

thanks, i dont need the milk either, not much of a deal for us

    • Heatround77

thanks, i dont need the milk either, not much of a deal for us

    • Mel

      Here in Virginia…

    • Kfoley1215

I had absolutely no luck with any of the cereal coupons. Either all were already printed or I was sent to a Spanish website that I could not navigate. Guess I was tardy to the party…. :(

      • Kristin

You should be able to translate the website using your browser.  I'm not sure about IE, but it's really easy in Chrome.

    • guest

I am new to the couponing thing. How do you already know what next weeks flyer looks like?? I am in NC and when I go to check the weekly ad it still brings up this weeks.

      • Christa

Southernsavers shows u a preview before the stores put it out on sundays

        • guest

Yes but does this not differ regionally.

          • Christa

most of the time its pretty close other than ur meats and produce

      • Frances

By mid-day Saturday, both this weeks ad and next weeks ad are available on the Kroger website.  Click on weekly ad at the top of the page and it will show you both ads.

        • Nancy

I don't believe that is correct for Mid-Atlantic region.

          • Frances

Have you tried it?  I am in that area and it is available for me.

      • Laura

I'm in GA, our sales run Sun to Sat but I've always been able to view next weeks ad at kroger. com on Sat morning (don't know how early it's there but I always look around 10 am and it's always been there).

        • Nancy

Unfortunately, the Mid-Atlantic ads don’t show up on kroger.com until after midnight Saturday PM.  They are similar to the Southeast region (Atlanta), but not identical.  Mid-Atlantic sales also run Sunday to Saturday.

    • DanaBnewcouponer

My SS and RP didnt even have the soaftsoap hand soap coupon or half of the stuff listed. Im in the Atlanta area, what happened? We didnt have colgate coupons or anything hardly. Did anyone else experience this or did they cheat the newspaper sellers this week.

      • Kristin

If you got the Early Edition of the Sunday paper (available to buy on Sat), the coupons might be different in tomorrow's paper. I usually buy the double papers on Sunday (it's one Early Edition and one regular paper packaged together). Sometimes the inserts are different.  Check Jenny's insert list too. She always lists the variations.

        • I buy the Saturday paper just in case I can't make it Sunday but I also go buy doubles on Sunday and I have never, once, in 5 years had them vary day to day.

          • DanaBnewcouponer

I have never had them vary like this either. I was shocked when I bought it today. I guess I will go pick one up tomorrow and see if there is a difference.

      • Cori C.

I got the early (Saturday) edition of the AJC and the softsoap coupons were in the Smart Source

        • DanaBnewcouponer

Cori what part of atlanta are you in? Maybe I need to take a trip for papers.

      • guest

Complain to the AJC!  I don't know whether the AJC runs out of the good inserts or whether the insert companies don't send enough, but it's getting very frustrating spending money on bad inserts.  I bought 5 doubles this week and all the early editions had the right ones in.  All the late editions had the “watered” down versions.  I know these are sent/delivered to various areas midweek,as an extra.  I  know they always put the good inserts in the subscriptions.  After that, the closer you are to downtown Atlanta, the better your chances for getting them.  In the outer suburbs, you're out of luck a lot of the time.

    • Nancy

There is a Crest catalina deal going on until July 31.  Purchase $6 of Crest and get $2 OYNO.  You don't have to purchase all $6 worth in the same transaction, either.  Not sure yet if the $6 will be based on the shelf price or sale price of $1, but either way it will be a MM when you purchase 6 and use 6 $0.75 coupons.

      • Katkoupon

limit 4 like coupons in same shopping trip on that Crest coupon :(

        • Nancy

You DO NOT have to purchase all $6 worth in the same transaction.  Use 4 coupons in one transaction and 2 in another.  :)

      • Nancy

I did the Crest deal today and purchased 3 Crest that are on sale for $1.  I used 3 of the $0.75 coupons and got a $2 OYNO.  Apparently the requirement to purchase $6 worth of Crest is based on the shelf price, not the sale price.  :>)

    • stacey2347

If I have B1G1 coupons for Beggin Strips will they both be free?  I'm not a usual Kroger shopper but my dogs love beggin Strips?  In their coupon policy it says the ring up half price so I don't think I will end up getting both free.  Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

      • Ramseycrew2

Usually when they ring up half price then you can use the b1g1 coupon and one will be free and the other half of regular price so it will be like 1 free 1 half price.

      • Ramseycrew2

Also if your store didn't ring them half price but rang the second one free then those stores don't usually let you use a b1g1 coupon on it but kroger does theres as half price for each.

    • Gabi

I left a bag of coupons at the Two Notch store today, hope somebody can put them to good use! There are a lot of good Q's in it, I just can't use them all. You can find them where they store the sales ads in the produce department. Happy hunting! LOL

      • Mistie

I really appreciate people who do this! I had to make an emergency run to the store one night, needed a few items for dinner I was making for unexpected guests, and it kills me when I go in and pay retail because I'm in a pinch but know I could get it cheaper. Anyhow, 2 of the 3 items I bought someone had left a coupon on the shelf that was going to expire the next day..I grabbed them up and walked out with a smile knowing that I saved a few extra dollars due to some wonderful generous person. It's like a surprise coupon fairy. lol

        • guest

I leave ones, too, that I end up not using & have also used ones that others have left. Why throw away free money when someone else might be able to use the q? I wish more people would leave them. Yea for coupon fairies! :)

          • Laura

I find a lot on shelves, but sometimes they've been expired for months. I still appreciate that someone left them. One night at Kroger when they had several displays of patio furniture people had left some on the tables so I added to them. I'm never sure where to leave them at kroger, I'm usually too tired to walk every aisle and put them next to the products. At publix I leave my extras in the turnstiles with the weekly ads because they have a lot of clear 4 inch shelves so they can be easily spotted.

            • Nancy

I found a sandwich bag stuffed full of coupons in the ladies' restroom once!  There was one bag on top of the toilet paper holder and another bag on the counter by the sink!

            • Laurie

My local Piggly Wiggly has a little box up front next to their weekly ads just for that purpose. So nice to have a place right there to take some coupons you need and leave some you don't.

      • Jesskevchan

The following address is for the lady that sends coupons overseas to military bases. They can use them up to six months expired so if their is ever any you cannot use or expired this is a great way to give back. I hate things going to waste. Think this is awesome.

Do the 10 for 10 sales last 2 weeks? I know the daytona sales do. Not sure about this though.

    • Randytn25

I just tried all of the above links to print coupons for the GM Cereals and only the 1.50/2 link would work.

    • Jessicaovahere

Is this for mid atlantic krogers?

    • Bee

Glad I consoled myself by printing GM cereal coupons when I couldn't get the $5 off 5 Kellogg's coupon. Now I am ready.

      • Ibdqt34

I agree. My store has the buy 4, save $6 off, so it's like getting it for $1.49 but with the .50 coupon that doubles, it'll be like getting it for 0.50!!! :-)

    • Kristan

Does anybody have any Pillsbury brownie coupons that they won't use?

When is Kroger's Senior Citizen Day where you get 10% off total.  I saw this advertised and it said it would be each week.  But I didn't see it this week.  Help!!!!

    • linda durham

Does Kroger have a special day of the week where senior citizens get 10% off their total price.  I saw this advertised several times.  It is not on there this week.

      • Nancy

In central Virginia (Mid-Atlantic region), senior citizens get a 5% discount every Tuesday.

        • Ibdqt34

Same for Raleigh / Durham area in NC.

      • Piginajar314

In Louisville (Kroger Mid-South region), it is 10% off on the first Wednesday of the month.

      • Coupon Gal

In georgia (atlanta to athens) its EVERY wednesday….publix  too!!!

    • Jsjt

I live in Tennesse and the Kroger in my area is limiting you to only 3 coupons per item per day. You can purchase as much of the item as you wat but you can only use 3 coupons at one time. Has anyone else ran into the same problem?

      • Hcgirl88

I did last night. They told me only 2 coupons. So I checked out and went through the self checkout line with the other items I had left and the attendant scanned the rest of my coupons with no problem.

      • Ghettobillys

I'm in TN, I always use the Self check out (I like to check prices as I scan). If the register beeps, the attendant usually just keys the coupons at their register.

    • Luckluckydog

Fischer hot dogs are only $1 if you buy ten. By 9a.m Sunday they were all gone.

I completely agree, Salesjumper! However, periods are your friend, and random words in sentences should not be capitalized.

    • Hcgirl88

Couple deals I saw last night, I'm in the south Atlanta area. They had their Nylabone Edibles on sale for $1.99 and their Facebook coupon is still available for $2.00 off, and it's unlimited print ! And also, their YoBaby 4 pack yogurts were on managers special ( clearance ) because they expire the 30th, for $1.39 ! There should be some coupons on the Stonyfield site if you sign up for 50 cents off. Hope these work for my other fellow coupon Queens and Kings !

    • steph

I did 3 of the GM $6.00 wyb 4 deals (it's a Limit 3), but the mega event only came off once. Customer service fixed it, but make sure you check your receipts! Also, it looked like every single GM product was participating at my store, including granola thins and betty crocker fruit snacks.

I ran into the kroger on lake murray blvd in irmo sc that the cashier told me that they were only accepting 2 internet coupons per item.  when i asked her to show me the coupon policy for the store she said it was at the service desk and i could go take a look and i said no you need to and she said that this is the policy.  so i told her to cancel the order and then i went and hunted down the store manager and had him walk with me to find the policy which was stupid they had placed the copy of the policy next to there employee time clock.  We took a look at it and i told him it doesn't state anywhere that it says you limit it to 2 per order.  he said i'm sorry and he got all my merchandise back and then i proceded to check out and used all 22 of my internet coupons.  So make sure to ask for that store coupon policy and don't take the word of the cashier to get your items.  I hate that kroger doesn't have a corporate one that you can download.  i have called the corporate hotline and they always say each store is different and you have to ask for the policy when you go in the store.

      • Ibdqt34

I'm surprised the store manager let you have it. At my Kroger, it says that the store manager has the right to decide or refuse any coupons. That's my favorite…so if they just don't want to, that rule gives them the 'right' to say, 'Nope'! Unbelievable!!!

      • Suzanne

My Kroger only takes 2 total printed coupons for an entre transaction.  Not even per item.  That's why I've started doing more shopping at Publix.

    • Luckluckydog

One out of ten might be free.or 90 cents for each.Just depends on how you look at it I guess. If I want 1 free toothbrush.1 free pack of hotdogs,1 freebar of soap I need to spend 27 dollars

    • peanutsmommy

Got in there early today, free toothbrushes were gone of course, have been tying to use that coupon for a while now.. but no luck. Did find more carefree liners for free, just in case you havent been able to find any for $1 since publixs last deal.

    • couponmama

i was in the Aiken SC Kroger and they did not give $6 off. you could only get milk. what a bummer.  i had to cancel my order. otherwise, it was not that great of a deal. sad face!

      • Fgavent

Sorry to hear this.  Next time, check your local ad at Kroger.com.  For our zip-code, only the free milk is listed.  Did you find the Crest or Oral B toothbrushes?  Trying to decide which Kroger to go to…

    • Anniescott114

I'm getting so tired of the cashiers at Kroger being so rude to ALL couponers. Yes, I understand there are a FEW folks that make your job impossible. I understand some couponers need to be jerked up and shook around because they are butt heads but NOT EVERYONE IS THAT WAY! I'm getting so tired of being treated like I'm trying to steal from the store just because I use a coupon. As I said to the cashier this morning “I am very well aware of your policy but no human is above error” Just because I handed you a coupon and I also had an ecoupon loaded to my card does not mean I was trying to scam you. Believe it or not I forgot. That happens when you work 50 hr weeks and have 2 kids and a husband etc. I did not hand you my kroger card first because I was loading my items onto the conveyor belt and my hands were full. At no point did you stop and ask for it either. So I hope I did indeed tick you off as you did me and I'm not sorry I was rude to you because I tried to be nice the first 3 times I told you that I forgot and apologized. Generally by the 4th apology people stop being nice.

Sorry everyone needed to vent. I'm getting ready to stop shopping at Kroger all together. Have a good day everyone (except my cashier from today. I hope you mash your finger in your drawer)

      • Kristin

For what it's worth, Kroger is the only company that I have emailed feedback to, who has not responded in any way.  Makes you think they just don't care. Publix, Walmart, Crest, and more have all responded to any email (good or bad) I have sent.

        • love shopping

we also called corporate about a rain check that we had for sobe drinks and that the managers wouldn't order in 45 bottles of the ones with sugar in them.  we tried for 4 weeks solid and no luck and we called them and they seemed so nice and said that they would have the store manager call us to see about getting this fixed and still haven't recieved a call and it has been over a week.

        • Bee

Sadly, Kroger has been the top player in the game so long they think that nothing can bring them down. I suggest they take a lesson from Wal-Mart's failing lack of effort the last few years.

Looking forward to Publix coming next year!

          • Cori C.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Bee. They've been around so long I guess they feel that they will have the profits regardless of shotty customer service. I'm about done with Kroger too. I have pretty much whittled my trips down to Publix, CVS, and whatever I find in other store's ads I price match at Walmart.

        • Kjl528

I have trouble out of my Kroger in Providence Marketplace (Mount Juliet TN)  They have the worst customer service ever.  I only go there for the REALLY good deals.  I would rather shop across the street at Publix ANY day.  The cashiers are typically young men any time I go, who talk to each other and ignore me completely.  They talk about who is hooking up with who and who got drunk last night in front of my kids.  They never bag my cold items together, and my fruit and bread end up mushed because they don't pay attention.  In the last 4 times I have been in the store someone offered to help me out just once!  Even though I have left my phone # at the customer service desk with a request to speak with management, I never receive a call.  I can't sit there waiting for a manager in store with a screaming 2 and 3 year old, and my ice cream & milk getting hot.  Makes me appreciate my Publix so much!!!!!

      • Ibdqt34

Amen! I usually run into the same problem at my Kroger. My cashier was analyzing my coupons for the expiration date (I'm not a thief but I understand there are some out there so, that's fine). But when I had an ecoupon for the Ivory soap and tried to hand her a paper coupon for it, it was like I committed the biggest mistake in the world. I'm sorry – it's an ECOUPON. I don't print out a list of my ecoupons because isn't the premise that you have ECOUPONS to be a little more environment friendly?!? Excuse me for making a mistake. I've been shopping at my Kroger for about 10 years and I'm almost about to just take ALL of my business to Harris Teeter and Walmart!

    • Ghettobillys

I luuuuuuuv Kroger's ScanRite Guarantee!  I just got a free pack of Nathan's Hot Dogs.

      • Laura

I got screwed the last 2 times I had items scan wrong because cust service closes about 9:30. Each time I had checked out about 11pm on Sat so when I went back for my refunds Sun the shelf tags were down because the sale had ended Sat so they refused my refunds both times.

And one Sat night I realized after I paid that 2 of my coupons had fallen on the floor. The cashier said no big deal just take them to cust service tomorrow & they'll give you the cash. I took them but they refused because the coupons had expired Sat. I argued and argued that's when I bought the items (and the main reason I bought them that day) but I got nowhere. The pitfalls of shopping late I guess. Their disagreeable CS reps are one of the reasons Publix gets most of my business now.

        • Ghettobillys

Well that stinks! The cashiers at my Kroger stores do the ScanRite from their registers. I've never been directed to CS and I usually always wind up with free stuff because of incorrect scans. My friends tease that Krogers is going to post a picture of me in their training room and tell the trainees that I am the main reason shelf prices need to be correct! :)

        • Ibdqt34

I understand your pain Laura. Next time, take a picture of the price with the product on your cell phone and show them 'the proof'!!! :-) I'm not sure if this will help or not considering showing them your receipt with the date you purchased your other items in conjunction with your 'expired' coupons didn't help…but it's worth a shot!

        • Bitwcale

I have had the same type of problems with Kroger!  I too try to take my business to Publix.  Don't get me started on Kroger gas pumps that pump in more gallons than the size of my tank…not counting the fact that I'm rarely on empty pre-pump.

    • Ghettobillys

Why do I KEEP getting SOBE Catalinas at Krogers? I have 3 or 4 and we don't drink the stuff.

      • Nancy

I'd be glad to take them off your hands!  We love SoBe!

        • Ghettobillys

You are welcome to them – email me your address and I will drop them in the mail to you. cayleealred@gmail.com

      • Tamontello

WE love sobe as well, I dont get those.  I keep getting dollars off SOLO paper goods?? LOL

      • Medigrl1

I would find someone who does and see if they have some coupons or catalinas that they would like to trade thats what I do.

      • Laura

6-7 weeks straight they kept giving me catalinas for gillette mens d.o. and pantene shampoo or cond & I never bought either product. I used to always get cats for products I regularly bought. Wish they'd go back to that.

    • Dtcox

love my kroger in v a they are giving the 6.00 off with the cereals i got 12 boxes will last a while thanks jenny p s it says 3 trans per card per day god bless

Got my free ivory and safeguard soap, crest oral b toothbrushes and crest toothpaste for free this morning! Hooray!!! I am new to couponing and that really made my day! If I had more of the same coupons, I would have gotten alot more. I wonder where those EXTREME couponers get all their coupons?!

      • Penny

I order coupons from coupons by dede (google this).  I have only ordered once and had no problems.  I ordered on Friday and received on Monday.

I'm planning on buying 2 bags of purina one dog food, plus 8 pkgs of beggin strips (I have 4 B1G1 Qs)- will the $5.00 off print anyway?

        It should

    • 5adams

You can't use the softsoap .35 coupon from today's insert for the 1.00 softsoap liquid hand soap because the coupon is for 6-7.5 oz and and coupon is for the 8 oz. correct? why does it say that it makes is .30 if you can't use it? Or do people use it anyway

      • Medigrl1

I just used the coupons my store took them and I paid .30 each

        • Ipreferpublix

Just because you used them and they didn't beep doesn't make it right! It's still fraudulent!

I ave noticed a LOT of incorrect match ups on this site in the last few months, due, I assume, to Jenny having a lot of help and not doing it herself.

READ the coupon, if it's not a match, it's fraud to use it. Period.

          • WendiBrooke

I have never seen an 8 ounce bottle of the Softsoap . Has anyone ?

            • Emily

maybe it is intended to use it for the refills, which come in higher than 8 oz.

            • Bee

The new variety is 8 ounces.

            • Sarah

Yes, my store usually has bonus size ones that are 8oz so the coupon is good for that. I also have some $.35/1 Any size softsoap coupons, so people may be using those as well. They weren't from this past Sunday though.

    • kelly

Can someone tell me if the b1g1 coupon on beggin strips is truly in ss 5/08. i cant find it there at all

      • Ibdqt34

I'm glad that you are giving back and donating these items.

It does upset me when I walk into my Kroger to buy 2 toothbrushes for my family and can't because the shelf was wiped clean.

      • Guest

What is someone going to do with 24 tooth brushes?  Seriously.  I am pretty new to couponing, but I work full time so I can't go the minute the stores open, so I am annoyed that shelves are cleaned off almost immediately.  I usually go the first day of the sale, and even then, stuff is gone.  Sorry, but I am getting turned off by this.  Remember that stuff goes on sale again in a month or so.  Why not buy what you need for a few months and then get it again?  Not buy enough for a few years all at once….!?  And all you are going to do is donate them??

      • Lea

I was gonna say, do you NEED 24 toothbrushes, but then read that you were donating it, WAY TO GO!

      • lilymom

I totally get that you are donating and how nice of you to do so….but maybe you could give the rest of us a chance to score a good deal by not wiping the shelves clean.  You are the reason I leave Kroger upset every week.  I can never score the good deals because the shelves are wiped clean and I generally only want 1-2 of an item.  Please be more considerate of others who are struggling in this economy.  You could donate to us by just allowing us a chance at an awesome deal.

      • lilymom

So I went to Kroger last night and guess what…no Oral-B toothbrushes, no soft soap, and all the cereal for $2.78 wiped clean as well.  Oh sad day.

    • Corie30290

I got some good deals at Kroger, but at check out, the coupons didn't double.  I asked the cashier to look and see if they were not doubling, and she said that they were.  When I got to the car, I counted my coupons from my printed ss shopping list.  I compared the quantity of coupons to the receipt, and I was right.  None of my .50 or less coupons doubled.  The rep at customer service wasn't exactly nice about it, but she did refund $8 due to the error.  I also learned that internet printed coupons do not double at my Kroger.  I will shop at Publix next week…

      • Guest

This happened to me a few weeks ago.  You have to scan your KrogerPlus card before scanning the coupons in order for them to double.  I discover this when I looked at my receipt once I got home, and called customer service.  She rep told me to come back into the store and she would refund the money.  I went in the next day and, after checking my receipt for confirmation, the refund was given.  Love my Kroger!

        • Mary

this happened to me also, CC also said it was because I didnt scan my card at the beginning, but I was not offered or given a refund…just an oh well…I used to shop at kroger fro EVERYTHING, I was spending atleast $200-$250 a week in there, now I go to Publix…I get more & spend less…its a no brainer, and Publix has the friendliest employees…I Love Publix!

      • Suzanne

I used to be a 100% loyal Kroger shopper.  Since I started couponing I do 75% of our shopping at Publix.  They are much more coupon friendly and you can't beat all of the bogos with coupons.

i noticed that in columbia sc the kroger add doesn't have the gain listed in our local add.  has anyone checked in the stores in columbia to see if that detergent is on sale here.

    • Superstarelaine

I went to Kroger today and couldn't find any of these deals in Bedford, TX?  What does that mean?

      • couponing mama

I think in TX your ad starts on Wednesdays. Hope that helps.

    • Steph7785

Had a great experience at the Bellevue Kroger (Nashville, TN area) today. I was able to get in and out very quickly and they had plenty of the softsoap, and Dawn, got 3 of the $6 off deals – which were from 2 Fruit Roll-ups, 4 Nature Valley granola bars, and 6 boxes of cereal. Also enjoyed some good produce deals – bananas, mangoes, pears, and carrots. Also got 2 Kroger spaghetti sauce, 2 packs Soliel razors, Gillette men's bodywash, balogna, 2 Kroger bread & buns and spend only $54. Not as “extreme” as some, but I had stocked up on toothpaste/brushes and body wash so these were good deals for those quick summer breakfasts and snacks we seem to go through quick! Thanks Jenny!

    • Steph7785

Oh- and the cashiers there are ALWAYS friendly – feel really bad for those with stinky cashiers. I forgot that I had downloaded an eQ to my card, and the cashier just politely gave me back my paper Q – never a problem. Love Kroger, and the fuel points too!

    • Sierra_26

Had an awesome Kroger shopping trip today! Total was $212 and I paid $42 and I got a $2 Catalina for buying the Crest toothpaste!

      • Savjake

Ummmm, post a shopping list :) That's awesome!

    • Proudeodwife13

french's mustard coupon is in SS 6/19 (TN) :)

    • Kjl528

Heads up Moms!  The Providence Marketplace Kroger in Mount Juliet Tn had all the Disney themed (except Toy Story) Playtex spill proof sippy cups BOGO 4.49.  They rang up 2.24 each and there was a 2.00 of any Playtex item coupon I had printed out a while back, which made them .24 cents each!  With tax they were .45 cents each.  The other types of Playtex cups were on sale for various prices, but the Disney ones made for the best deal.  If this coupon is still out there for printing it makes an unbeatable price on sippy cups!

    • Luckluckydog

Oops! Must correct myself. 10 for 10 items at Kroger(in Louisville,Ky) will ring up @$1 if you only puchase 1 at a time,so Fischer Hot dogs,Ivory soap,Oral-B toothbrush actualy were free after coupons.  Whoo Hoo!   Friendly cashier set me straight !  thanks dude and sorry for mistake.

    • LaBreeze

Most of those General Mills coupon links are no good.

      • Thanks for sharing – I just went through and removed the bad links from the page and the database so we should be good!

    • guest

I am really dissappointed to see what I assume to be people using the softsoap coupon (8oz+) on 7.5 oz or less bottles. Everyone keeps complaining there is nothing on the shelf, that stupid show, etc, etc, if u r using coupons fraudulently then u r no better. U will ruin it for us too.

      • Guest

There is nothing on the shelf because your friends here buy 20 bottles at a time.  Awesome.

        • Merobertson

I have witnessed this first hand…on Sun. AM, I whave been the 1st one in the store at the start of the sale nd they will only have 1 or 2 on the shelf, sometimes…they have none.  I have asked each time about this & I always hear”we have a shipment in, but we are under staffed & it will probably be Tues or Wed before we get it unloaded, check back then”.  Its not always people clearing off shelves, sometimes yes…but alot of times its the store!

          • Schankia

I have worked at Krogers and a lot of the time it is not someone cleaning off the shelves but they refuse to put out anymore of the item because you can get it for free. I have witnessed this not only at Krogers but also at other stores for example CVS did a few weeks ago on the Dove for men and that stuff was not free. the manager told me the stuff was in the back and they got their truck but would not be putting the stuff out because of the coupons and the deal which got the ECB. A lot of stores take it personally when you get items free and do not realize that they are getting their money back from the manufacturer. I think they should set a limit like Harris Teeter (who rarely has issues with coupon use), train the cashiers to pay attention to coupons (dates, size, etc) and realize that when a person gets something on a coupon they are not stealing from the company they are simply trying to survive in a tough economy

          • athib

Wal-Mart does that. You can comp prices there and if another store is selling it for a price that they don't want to sell it for, they will clear the shelf. I only know because a friend of mine worked there and she told me about it. That's one of the reasons I quit shopping there.

            • Peggy

I've always wondered if Walmart was clearing the shelves.  I've often seen that when another store has a great sale, I can't find it at Walmart.  It's really frustrating when you want a gallon of milk and they have none (at any price) because someone had a great sales price.  Thanks for letting us know.

          • Abbielou02

I went to CVS one time because they were running a special “Buy a Box of Huggies and get a Free Umbrella Stroller” So I went to get it , On Saturday (So I was expecting them to be sold out, but was hoping I would get lucky!) And the Manager said that they hadn't received ANY strollers! And That I should check some of the busier stores! I was appalled!

      • Meghanllacock

I'm not sure if this will help in your area, but I always try to go to Kroger a little later in the week.  By Monday, ours is cleared of most of the good sales.  But it's usually restocked in a day or two.  I try to shop there on Tuesdays and Thursdays as they seem to be more well stocked days.  HTH!

      • Ibdqt34

I know your frustration. I wanted to buy 2 of the Oral B toothbrushes (so I could use the $2/2 and get them free) but my store was wiped clean of the soft and medium types. I'd like to think people are a little more kind and considerate than wiping out the entire selection. So…I'm telling myself they weren't fully stocked in the first place.

Did you get a raincheck? I did. At Kroger, they expire in 30 days but my coupon will run out before then so hopefully I'll be able to get them before 30 days….

      • athib

I never go on Sunday. I used to, but by 7pm everything would be gone. I too go on  Tue. or Thur. Honestly, it's usually Thursday because all of the “old” meat is marked down so they can sell the higher priced on the weekends. Usually, everything is in stock, if not, I get a rain check and use it the next week.

    • Janel357

I have a bunch of Fischer hot dog coupons but my Kroger sells Fields hot dogs arre these the same? Will the coupon work?

    • Donna

The Kroger in my area of Cookeville TN just informed me yesterday that they are only accepting 3 coupons, per like item, per person, per day. The manager started that policy on Friday. If I want to buy more than 3 I can, I just can’t use the coupons for them. I know I can make more than one trip but that is too much trouble. He said people were cleaning out the shelves and not leaving enough for all his customers. I understand that and I am not one of those people, UNLESS, it’s the last one on the shelf. If I take it, then yes I cleaned out the shelf. After that extreme couponing show started airing, I think the true couponers that are trying to contribute to the household have been punished by all the new policies it has resulted in.

      • Brandee Lamkin

my local Kroger has adopted the same policy .. about a month ago .. and for the same reason.  i tend to agree with the idea, it's nice to go shopping and actually find some of the items on my shopping list.  after that show started airing, i was not only having trouble finding anything on the shelves in the stores but finding sunday papers had become nearly impossible as well.  granted, the rules can be a pain, but i'm not sure the stores are left with any other choice.

      • Christmsaliz2002

Wow you need to print out the companies coupon policy and take it with you. It says they will take them as long as the conditions are meet
this is from there website. No where does it say the manager can determine how many you get to use. I have had this issue in Ga but they cant argue with company policy. When you call corporate and complain you get Kroger giftcards :)

      • Bekahbekah7

They told me this same thing the other day when I went to the Cookeville Kroger. This is so disappointing since it was my favorite store. Think I will have to start going to sparta now :( or drive all the way to crossville since they are coupon friendly and double coupons.

    • Suzanne

Not sure if anyone caught this but the French's mustard coupon is in SS 6/19 not RP.  My Kroger just let me use 4 coupons for the Ivory Bodywash however they only allow 2 total printed coupons per transaction.  This is one reason I've started going to Publix.  They don't care how many  of anything are used.

    • Lalawhat

how much are the cheerios before the free gallons of milk (Or $6 off) in
the add it says $2.78 but i think that's for the cereal bars.

      • SchoonCR

Our local ad lists the smaller boxes, and the granola bars, at 4 for $10.  The small ones that participate in the deal… Buy 4 of those and get 2 free gallons of kroger milk.  I have 3 of the .50 coupons for Honey Nut Cheerios, so will be able to get 4 boxes of cereal and 2 gallons of milk for $7.  Not bad.

      • ibdqt34

For the 8.9oz they are $1.49 /box (but they are factoring in that you are buying 4 of them). The 14oz boxes are $1.99. HTH!

    • Sherry Graves

I just got home from my shopping trip at Kroger and was very disappointed to find that the ecoupon for the Oral-B Indicator toothbrushes did not work. I purchased 2 Indicator toothbrushes and have the ecoupon from your list above loaded on to my Kroger card, but it was not taken off at the register. When asked about it, the cashier told me that she could not do anything about ecoupons. I came home and checked my Kroger card to make sure the ecoupon is in fact on the card and it is, but the ecoupon reads differently than what you have listed above. It reads “Save $2.00
On any ONE Oral-B Pulsar, CrossAction, or Advantage Toothbrushes.” Doesn't say anything about Indicator as you have it listed above. I know it's only $2 but as a beginner, this was the very first time that I would be receiving an item for FREE and it just didn't work out that way. :(

      • Terry

I think my ecoupon did the same thing.  Unfortunately, I lost my receipt because it was raining when I was loading my groceries in the car.

    • Anybody know how much the french's mustard is running, so I'll know which coupons to plan on using.  Thanks!

      • Pamelaptsa

It's $1.99 in CO King Soopers HTH.

      • Suzanne

At my Kroger in Duluth, GA, the 14oz mustard was $1.89.  With the bogo and the coupon I got them for 35 cents.

      • kris

        1.89 in nashville as well

      • Christmsaliz2002

There were free at publix with coupon not sure if that is still going on though as I am just checking things today.

    • June compton

“I am new to Kroger shopping. Several of the links above connected to something is Spanish. It has been a long time since High School. Can anyone tell me how to get to the coupon part???
Also, the coupon in my paper for Softsoap was 50 cents off 12 oz or larger. body wash, not for the handsoap. Bummer!

      • happymom

I guessed all the way through registering (since I don't speak spanish either) to print these coupons and they're all gone.  The only ones available through the spanish site are some Yoplait ones.  Now I'm getting emails from them and since I don't read spanish well enough I can't figure out how to unsubscribe-  it's hilarious!!!  I guess I'll check back the beginning of next month.

    • Boy_lucas3001

a question….when you buy the begging strips do both bags count towards the catalina total is it only counting one?

      • Black_spider86

The actual total amount paid is what will count toward the catalina.

    • Tammy

I officially love me some Krogers!!!!! I live outside of Chattanooga and there isnt a Krogers anywhere around. I went this weekend to my grandmothers house close to Knoxville and decided to try the Krogers out. I got 83 dollars worth of groceries for 13 dollars. Wow…. that was exciting. I will definately be going there everytime I visit :-)

      • Hevans0418

Wow.  I live outside Chattanooga and may have to take a trip to Dalton to go to Krogers!

    • Jessica

I was wondering if anyone had any Ivory body wash coupons from the PG 7/03 insert. I have other coupons that I would be able to trade with.

      • Christmsaliz2002

I have lots of them. How many were you looking for and what you got to trade? I want Brut couppons from 6/5 SS

        • dtownphoto

I have Brut coupons I could mail you.  Email me at dtownphoto at bellsouth dot net.

    • Jfmosley

Just went to Kroger and success!! i bought 2 bags of Beggin' Stips at B1G1, and used a B1G1 coupon, and the cashier took off the full $3.85, so I got both for free!! I bought 4 tubes of crest toothpaste for $1 each minus $0.75 off coupon for each one, making them 25 cents a piece, however there was $10 worth of coupons inside each box!! Then, I bought an Airwick, the big one that is orginially $13.99, on clearance for 6.99 minus a $4 coupon.  i also got a raincheck for the indicator toothbrushes, and mine allows up to 10 of the items on a raincheck!!

      • Jfmosley

Oh!! And….I got a $2 off catalina printed off for purchasing the crest!

    • jessc5

Register your Kroger card with BoxTops and you can get extra boxtop points for your school!  Right now there is an additional 10 boxtops for every 3 products.  I earned 60 extra points on Sunday alone!   Even if you don't have kids, register your Kroger card and pick a school (mine if you want, Lol!).

      • Ibdqt34

        Hi Jess,

My son just started Kindergarten. I've heard of others doing this before but don't really know the process. How do you know your child's school is getting your boxtops…do you have to cut them out or is it based on all the cards you register, it calculates it and sends it to the school?

        • Terry

I didn't know you could register your card for boxtops.  So your school gets electronic box tops and you can still cut them off the products and send them to your school?

          • jessc5

        • jessc5

When you register your card, it asks you to chose a school.

      • Jefloyd7

You can do the same thing with labels for education.  That way when you buy Campbell’s products you can reward your school electronically as well as sending in the labels. I think you only get one point per product but every little bit helps.

    • Jessica

Not sure if anyone posted this, but the Kroger by me has Aussie and Herbal Essences on sale 2 for $5, I used a $1 off and a $3 off if you buy 2 and got them both for .50 a piece. I live in Ga.

    • Wenlou80

my softsoap coupon says 8oz or bigger so how does this work on the 7.5oz?

      • Keiona

yes …mine did too and it still worked

      • Sorry about that guys – I listed the wrong coupon there!  Thanks for letting me know though, that coupon is no longer matched with that product!

    • Leah S

I am so very, very tired of people clearing out the shelves on the good deals. Take what you really, truly need and leave some for the rest of us! Some people have lives and can't make it to the store as soon as the sale begins.

This isn't a competition to see how much you can accumulate for as little money as possible. Or a competition to see who can wipe out the shelves first.

This is a way for many people to save some money in this tight economic time. Not only are you showing yourself for the mentally disturbed and greedy person you are, you're screwing the rest of us out of providing food for our families.

Let's all remember the Golden Rule. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

      • Bee

Unfortunately your sentiments will fall on deaf ears. The persons truly responsible for clearing the shelves unnecessarily will be validated by your complaint.

The best we can do is get rain checks and hope that the freaks eventually have to cash a reality check.

      • Lucylou39

I agree totally!  I am experiencing the same thing.  Some people are purchasing as many as possible so that they can resell the items to their coworkers, friends, flea markets, etc.  They are ruining it for the rest of us.  Many of the stores are scaling back their coupon policies due to this practice.

      • terry

I saw a lady buying all the Crest toothpast.  She asked me if I wanted any and I told her we didn't like Crest, we liked Colgate.  She was on her hands and knees and I didn't stick around to see how she got up off that floor.

      • guest

I totally agree!!  Went today and all of the cereal was GONE!!  But–HA HA– I'll get the Lucky Charms, Trix and Cocoa Puffs –and not have to settle for Rice Chex– next week with my raincheck!

    • Marileelamberty

The Kroger by me has the Wacky Mac on sale for 3 for $5. If you use your Wacky Mac coupons for a dollar off. That brings it down to 3 for $2 dollars. Score in my book.

      • YellowJacketGirl

Im in Marietta GA, and the Kroger on Dallas Hwy has Wacky Mac 10 for 10!!!  I'm taking my coupons!  $.50 each!!  Yay!

    • Nan

Does the free milk come off at the register or do you get a OYNO coupon for the milk?

      • The Lunch Lady

should come off like an e-coupon, but you have to buy the milk when you buy the cereal. and it can only be the cheap Kroger milk (whole, 1%, 2%, etc.)  HTH

    • Nicole

Lady speed stick or speed stick deo is on sale 5/$5 …there was a .50 cent coupon not too long ago in the paper….so once your coupon double you get it for free!!!!

    • Kat

Does anyone have any additional Ivory Soap coupons (50/1). If your not going to use them I would love to have them. You can email me at kbodycreations@yahoo.com.

      • Laura

There will be a new .50/1Ivory in the P&G insert in this Sundays paper.

    • Lauren Leimone

If the purina cat food deal was not in your weekly ad does that mean your store will not fufill the deal? Also is it $25 retail or price you actually spend, because I have coupons to make it cheaper.

    • Tristeminton

I haven't read most of the posts lately, so I don't know if this is old news…. BUT my Kroger (Durham, NC) does not double ecoupns, AND will not take my paper (doubled) coupons AFTER my Kroger Card is scanned! Until I know all my ecoupons are used up, I will be giving the cashier my card AFTER my doubled paper coupons!

      • Lauren Leimone

        Which Durham store is this?

        • Tristeminton

          Riverview on Roxboro Rd

      • Sofia

The policy has been like taht as long as I can remember. Don't load e-coupons if you have a better paper coupon.

    • Mistylh_3

I am new to couponing and i didn't get to buy as many of the wisk detergent on sale with the 2.00 coupon that i wanted.  How often does this detergent go on sale and does it usually go along with a 2.00 coupon.

      • Terry

I'm new to this too, but I think I read on here some where that it's about every 6 weeks the sales rotate.  Don't quote me on that.  Maybe someone else will know for sure.

      • Kittykat_150

Check your manager's special rack….on Sunday at my store they had the Wisk & Arm & Hammer marked down to 2.49…and they rang up wrong so I got them FREE :).  O I was so excited.

      • Drew'sMom

Walgreens has wisk on sell this week for 6.99 and you get 80ct downey softner sheets free with it. so if you use your 2.00 off coupon you get both for 4.99!!

    • GUEST

Any one else having trouble with the General Mills printable coupons?  It's saying I've printed them already but I KNOW I haven't.  ????

    • Terry

My 11 year old daughter and I are kinda getting into couponing.  We have to remember not to buy everything just because it's cheap.  We have plenty of shampoo right now.  But we love great deals.  This week she found the Crest Wisps on closeout for $1.19.  We had a $.50 coupon and it doubled.  She loves those things and we got them for $.19.  Then she found Palmolive dishwashing soap for $1.49.  I had a $.50 coupon that doubled and for some reason it took off my ecoupon for $.50 too (normally the ecoupon is the only one that they will take.  Anyway, that Palmolive was the very first thing we got for free.  We were stoked.  Now if we could just find some good deals on toilet paper like those people do on tv.  We are forever running low on toilet paper.

      • mommyof1

i also find toilet paper and paper towels really hard to get good coupons for..  luckily with the money we save, paying a little less than full price is okay for us most of the time.

    • Driley1998

Can anyone suggest a coupon clipping service that is fast?  I have never used a clipping serivce so how do they work?  As far as paying for the coupons…

    • Matthews2517

Had an awesome trip to Kroger yesterday!!  6 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of breakfast bars, 8 boxes fruit snacks, 2 Oral B toothbrushes, 2 boxes Crest toothpaste, 6 notebooks, 1 Gillette deodorant, 1 gallon of milk & a pack of cheese.  Total= $22.14.  I have only been couponing for 3 weeks & was really excited.

    • Katie

This might have been addressed already, so I'm sorry if this is old news. Do you ever post deals for Kroger's Delta Region? I live in Little Rock & would love to be able to make my lists according to your website (I love the little checkboxes & printable lists). If not, can anyone refer me to a site that does give the Delta list? Thanks!

      • Olemissmoss

What I would do is go to the Kroger website and look at the weekly ad for your zip code. Then in a different window, go back to the Kroger website and look at the weekly ad for a different southeast zip code (such as 39773)…if the ads are the same, then there is a really good chance that this site is what you need.

      • Linette

I live in west tn that is part of the delta region and I use this site all the time. The only difference is a few pennies of price sometimes. Most of the time they have the same stuff on sale I really haven't seen much discrepancies between what is posted and what is on sale in the delta region.

    • The5mcmullens

I bought 3 tubes of Crest toothpaste for .25 ea and got a catalina for $2 off my next store purchase at Kroger from Crest.

      • The5mcmullens

        .25 after my coupons.

      • Laura

The P&G in this Sundays paper has a .50/1 off crest. If you buy the early edition on Sat & your store doubles you could get it totally free Sat…….presuming there will be any crest left by then :D

        • Dsquared9895

or if they run out of the crest, get a raincheck for the toothpaste :)

      • Lmille16

Can you get a catalina from the self checkout lanes, or do you have to go to cashier?

    • Valeriewheeler

Any idea if Kroger will run the cereal deal again next week?  I know sometimes they run things for 2 weeks at a time.

      • melissa

Just got my Kroger ad for next week and no sight of the cereal deal.  HTH

    • coffeequeen34

Where are the boxes for selecting and making a shopping list?

      • lisasmith1019

You have to click directly on the link to get the boxes to show up.  I had to figure that out too a while back.  :)

    • Lmille16

I have a question about Kroger's deal this week on buy 4 boxes of general mills cereal or Nature Valley breakfast bars and get 2 free gallons of milk. Would this deal still work if I only bought 2 boxes of cereal and 2 boxes of breakfast bars?

      • lisasmith1019

I was thinking the same thought.

      • Lmille16

I did the math and it's $.50 cheaper to get the 4 boxes of cereal. That's it the coupons I have for the cereal are the same ones included in the sale.

    • Abbielou02

If you use a cellfire ecoupon on an item, can you also use a paper man q?

      • Jessica Patrick

My neighborhood Kroger refuses to let me combine paper Q's with my electronic Q's. I've stopped loading the electric Q's from the Kroger website and Cellfire. I only load Savingstar Q now.

      • Sb

No. The cellfire coupon is  a manufacturer coupon.

    • Manoloblahnik33

I live in Richmond, VA and have a bunch of coupons that expire this weekend! If Anyone in the area needs them I can send a list of what I have!

    • Etan999

is there a limit on the catalinas u can get   i have great qs for purina   will i get 5 cat  for every 30  or do i have to do multiple transactions?

    • Angeyanc

I'm in the middle Tennessee area and was told today that I could only use 3 like coupons BUT the Kroger down the road (8 miles) is not limiting. Also in our area there is a Catalina for the snackwell bars that there is a Q for in the SS on 6/26 they are 2.99 but you recieve $1.00 off each one plus the .75$ coupon makes them $1.25.

    • Aria

I have $2.00 tide coupons if anybody wants to trade them for diaper and/or enfamil infant formula coupons please e-mail me. mgkizilto@gmail.com. Thank you.

      • Aria

Coupon is useable for gain also.

Hi Aria, I am new to this site, but I will be happy to trade Enfamil coupons with you. I have several due to my baby having an intolerance to several formulas and I could always use a discount on detergents. Just let me know… Thanks!

Hi, does anyone have an extra coupon that came in the mail for $25 in groceries when you have a new rx? My store is requiring the coupon, and it would really help me out! I have lots of baby or dog product coupons I could trade if u want! Thanks :)

I need opinions please.  We do not have a Kroger around here.  While on vacation, I was thinking of get an anniversary cake from Kroger.  Anyone have any reviews of their bakerys?  Tastey? Good prices?  Pretty?  I would be using the one in Pigeon Forge. Thanks!!

We got a cupcake cake from Kroger for our daughter's birthday. It was good and cute. I've been to the Kroger in Pigeon Forge several times and would suspect they will have good cakes too. We got snowed in there in January and thankfully had run to Kroger right before the storm hit!

Thanks you all for your help.  I have called all the bakerys that I can find thru google and yellow pages and none of them can do a white chocolate buttercream icing (come on people that it not a hard icing to do), so I will keep Kroger in mind and will check out Food City! Thanks again!

Kroger bakery is no good! Their “buttercream” is made with lard, not butter. Their cakes have a shelf-life of 90 days; compare that to Publix, whose cakes have a shelf life of 3 days. Kroger puts in a lot of artificial flavors and preservatives in both their breads and sweets. Stay away from the Kroger bakery!

        • Sofia

Agreed. Kroger bakery is terrible. I buy cakes and bread from Publix only!!!

        • Bee

If there is no Publix, who would you recommend?

        • mommyof1

some buttercream is actually made with lard or crisco like products.. my mother was a professional cake maker for many years when i was younger and made huge wedding cakes.. while this isnt “healthy” today – alot of cake places will still use that, whether they tell you that or not.. publix does not, and EVERYTIME we have ordered a cake from publix for a bday etc.. they have gotten it wrong.. wrong color, wrong icing.. its like the quality at some publix stores has went way down..

we have never bought an iced cake from kroger, so who knows what ours uses..

and many publix bakery items are make with artificial ingredients also.. not trying to discourage anyone from buying their stuff.. just ask for an actual ingredients list before buying.

Pigeon Forge has a Food City and they have good cakes also.

This was my first time using a B1G1 free coupon with a B1G1 sale at Kroger and now I'm confused as to how this works.  My Kroger (Zeb. Rd, Macon, GA) had the Purina Beggin' Strips B1G1 free for $3.57 and I used a B1G1 free coupon.  The cashier asked to scan my card before writing in the amount to take off.  Since they only rang up for $1.78, that was what the cashier wrote in as the amount to deduct.  So, I ended up paying $1.78 for 2 bags when it would have been free at any other place.  Upon leaving I scanned my receipt since I thought my total was high and noticed the cashier had left off $2.50 in coupons.  I went to customer service, got reimbursed and asked about whether they take the full value off on a B1G1 free sale and coupon or only deduct half the price and her response was, “I don't really know and I'm pretty sure the manager here wouldn't know either.  I think the register automatically takes it off.”  Ugh, whenever I have questions it seems like I always leave dissatisfied from most of the Krogers in my area.  It would even be okay if someone didn't know something but at least TRIED to find an answer.  Has anyone else tried this deal or had similar issues with feeling shrugged off when trying to get answers?

At the grocery stores in my area (publix, kroger, food lion) the b1g1 ring up half price so, I never get anything for “free” when I use a bogo coupon.

      • Lessmslhs

Most places like Publix and Kroger when you ring up an something it will scan half off. So if a product is normally 4 dollars for one it will ring up 2 dollars. This helps when you only buy one item. So when you have a coupon B1G1 it takes off 2 dollars because that is the item cost not 4 dollars so you get 2 for 2 dollars instead of 2 for 4 dollars. I hope that helps! Its kind of complicated!

I've had it both ways. Most of the time the cashier will take off the original retail of one item, which in the case of the dog treats would be $3.57. A couple of times, the cashier takes off the price that it rang up, or in this case the $1.78.

The difference is this–if the cashier prints the receipt and goes over it, then he/she will use the actual 50% off price. If the cashier is seasoned and knows how to call up the little receipt (they can get the price of the item without looking at the receipt at all) with the retail price for a B1G1 or free coupon, then they use the higher price. So, in my experience if you really want the two items for free, use a cashier who has been working for Kroger a while. It is to the store's advantage to allow you the higher price. They get reimbursed for the price they would normally charge. That's why I believe the official register function for this process calls up the regular retail. It's a win-win for both customer and store.

I try to tell myself it's no big deal, but when you plan a trip, it seems like a letdown. And the cashiers that don't know how to use that function, they are completely confused if you try at all to discuss it.

same   prob   i also had a bunch of 4 off 4  purina    she tried to not let me use…also they have a catalina  spend 30  get   6   i spend 60   still only  5  back…

Got 20 tubes of Crest toothpaste today for .25 cents each!!! Great deal! I was hoping to get my Oral B toothbrushes before my coupons expire this Sunday, unfortunately all 2 kroger stores have ran out of the toothbrushes!

      • Caseyr1417

since the crest coupons say limit of 4 like coupons per purchase, were you able to use 20 coupons or did you have to split up the transaction?

        • Caseyr1417

same question with the ivory soap, i've got 7 the .50 off coupons. can i use all them at once?

          • guest

They say in same shopping trip so I would assume that is per day or visit not each order in a row.

    • Savingmoney11

I just went to kroger and picked up 9 colgate for $1 each w .50 off coupon, 4 crest for $1 each w .75 coupon, and 6 soft soap for $1. Would have normally cost $36 but w doubling of the soft soap and the colgate and the 10 for $10, I was able to get everything for a little over $4, essentially tax or .20cents each!

      • Caseyr1417

where was the .50 coupon for crest? i can only find .75

        • Jenhamilton99

          colgate has .50, not crest.

        • Learn22read

There’s one for $.50 and one for $.75
