There were some great HBA deals at my local Kroger today…I cleaned up on $0.30 and $0.67 body washes, hand soaps and deodorants along with several other good food deals I found…My husband was with me and was SO proud!  We had a great time :o)…

      • JL

What is a HBA deal? Thanks

        • AmandaK

Its an abbreviation for “Health & Beauty Aids” – the grocery aisle with all the personal care stuff.

We r in texas Kroger has stopped doubling and tripling here. Lucky peeps

      • Michelle20054

Not all krogers in tx My  kroger in clenurne dounle up to n triples up to 39

      • Sarahgorsuch

im lucky i live in michigan where none of these new rules have taken affect! we still double up to 1 dollar …. we can stack coupons if the coupon has no purchase limit and we can use printables…. feel bad for yall in texas :(

        • Tracy

It's coming your way.  I live in NW Ohio and the rules are starting to take effect here, too.

    • Cnradcliffe

Went to my kroger tonight and at checkout they told me they will only take THREE print out coupons period! WTH! This screwed up my check out completely!

      • Lynnzee

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.  I ask to see their new coupon policy and for my store it says 2 printable coupons per item.  I had to show the cashier.  I was able to use the 4 coupons that I had.  My store is now limiting 2 printibles per item and 5 regular coupons per item.  The funny thing is when I asked for a coupon policy to take with me they told me they could not give me one. Hmmm

        • Lollipopinc

I have a letter from CORPORATE. I was told that Kroger has “set ” policy which should be on a sign at the service desk, however every store mgr is free to make his or her own decisions about how many coupons they will or will not take. And let me tell you some of the MGRS are crazy. Kroger had the 10/$5.00 off sale recently that included the Ronzoni Pasta making it .49 each and I had coupons that were for buy 2 get a 1 off. Most of the mgrs in the knoxville area told me i could only use 2 per entire transaction, because their policy was 2 printed coupons per item. I however only wanted to use 1 coupon per every 2 items. After going to 6 stores I finally went to one where the Mgr said I could use as many as I wanted, because he knew I would be donating the majority of the purchase to food banks. I was able to get 100 boxes and only pain $2.80. The point to all of this is, that KROGER CORPORATE needs to make a real official policy and apply it to all stores and stop everything else. Otherwise people will start to shop elsewhere.

          • gagirl1

I don't understand why they won't take more than that… they get reimbursed for all of them… it's just extra sales and extra business for them… as long as everyone is honest about couponing (which i know not everyone is), the grocery stores should be loving this! i don't get it.

            • Laura

I guess the limits are to stop the shelf clearers. On the extreme coupon show a lot of the people have 50-100 of the exact coupon, then go to the stores and take every one of that product. And another product, and another etc.

You're right the stores do get paid for the coupons but I'm sure they get tons of complaints from other shoppers who find nothing but empty shelves on the good sale+coupon deals. I know I rarely find anything that's a great deal, if it was a good coupon that would've made it cheap or free. I only want 1 or 2 of most things but there's never anything left in any stores around my town. And rainchecks don't help if it's a mega event and it ends by the time they restock, or if your coupons expire before they restock.

          • Bee

I have shopped the Knoxville area Kroger stores for decades. I have never had any such issues. My guess is the amount of product you wanted to purchase. They have never given me any grief about coupons. But, I usually only show up with 3 like coupons at most.

I have changed my habits a bit since we can't stack e-coupons and paper, but Kroger still has great customer service.

          • Tnsunshyne

I used those same coupons at the Krogers in Fountain City.  I was able to use 16 coupons to get 32 boxes of pasta for free.  I have a family of 6 to feed, so we will use all of these.  However when I got to check out that is when I was instructed that they no longer would allow you to use kroger e-coupons and manf paper coupons together.  Had I know that, I would have used my paper Q's and at least got them doubled.  I was a bit miffed, because had I been able to use both, I would have saved an additional $28 off my bill.  I was still pleased that I was able to knock my bill down from $276 to $132.
But I agree, this show is ruining things for everyone.  With this economy we need to save every dollar we can.
I hear there is rumor  of a publix coming to west knoxville……..

            • Bee

Yes, I heard that rumor as well. In the old K-Mart building on Kingston Pike and another on Northshore. There is a 3rd site picked out but I did not get the location. Woo-hoo is all I have to say. Kroger needs to be shaken up a bit.

        • Asolstice06

5 coupons PER ITEM? My Kroger only takes 1 coupon per item. No stacking. One of the cashiers looked like he wanted to punch me when I tried to use 2 coupons on one item before I knew about the policy change. I hate Kroger!

        • gagirl1

y'all are talking about using 5 like coupons for 5 items, right? like, buying 5 boxes of pasta and using 5 coupons?

      • Amchad1118

The TV show is ruining this for everyone!

        • vs1999

My Kroger clerk told me that they are looking closely at their coupon policy because of that TV show.  She also said that the coupons from companies are requiring you buy 2 or 3 items in order to get 50 cent off, because of the show.  I noticed that is true when looking at yesterdays coupon inserts.  Thanks to the show, coupons are soon to be worthless.  I really hate that because I love saving money.

        • Davis1850

I don't even have cable/satellite because I'm so frugal.  Never seen the show but still hate it.  I get so aggravated when someone asks me in a store if I've seen it.  I don't go into a store and clean the shelves just because I can get stuff free.  I, like most of you on this site, do it because we have families and are trying to cut costs where we can.  Show is making it hard on us everyday folks just trying to feed our families.

    • Lilithrvn

My Kroger has suave deodorant $1.06  with .50/1 coupon I got them for .06 ea :)

      • Timehooker

Where did you get the .50 off coupon for Suave deodorant?  Was it a printable?

        • Mandi

It was in my RP from yesterday.

    • guest

My Kroger in Dalton Georgia has a big sign now when you enter that they will not accept stacked coupons. One coupon per item.

      • guest

I haven't noticed a sign.  I guess they finally put one up.  I complained a few weeks ago about how they just change the policy without any kind of notice.  I wish we had a Publix!!!

      • Rse3

Is it the Walnut Kroger or the other Kroger?  I was just at the Walnut Kroger, and didn't notice, but I could have easily been paying attention to something else.  I agree about the Publix!

    • guest101

so like everytime i try to print a coupon it doesnt it says it did but it didnt. where is everyone getting their printable coupons? even on here when i try to print it doesnt

    • Dawn C.

Went To Kroger On Forsyth Rd Here In Macon Ga , The Mananger Told Me That They Are Changing The Coupon Policy And You Cant Stack The Coupons Anymore Unless It Is A Printed Coupon From Kroger And A Manf. Coupon That Is The Only Way They Will Do It .. That Show On Tv Is Screwing Everything Up For The Rest Of Us Out Here Trying To Save On Our Shopping . I Did Save 40.00 Off 100.00 But Still  Had So Many Other Coupons That I Wanted To Use But Couldnt ..

      • JLCoupons11

When you say stack coupons you mean more then manf Q on 1 item?

      • Kenzbug

The Kroger in Baconsfield Shopping Center in Macon will only allow you to double one coupon per like item now.  Meaning if I have 4 fifty cents coupons on rice, they will only double one. Disturbs me when I want to pick up the Mega Event items but they will only double one coupon. The policy is just barely better than the new policy they implemented in TX.

        • PigBetsypen

They did this a number of years ago also when they used to triple coupons and I was upset because I had bought different flavors, but they said it was the same product, so I stopped shopping there for awhile.  I agree that it is a bummer.  I was using cellfire but that is not worth it anymore either.  I do Publix, but maybe won't get as good deals there anymore because of the only 1 of theirs can be stacked per order.  Can go to three in the area but that takes more time and is it worth it!!!??

        • Shannon

Ya they told me that the other day when I went to the Baconsfield Kroger.  I made them do 4 different transactions.  I won't shop there anymore because of how rude they were.  I'd rather drive across town…I haven't had any problems at the Kroger on Tom Hill.

          • Kenzbug

I wish they would just tear that building down and build a Publix there.  Harvey's around the corner from Baconsfield doubles ALL coupons up to 50 cents.  I went there the other day to shop and stocked up on some Margaret Holmes veggies for .29 a can and Knorr side dishes pasta and rice for .50 each.  Kroger just seems to have a bigger sale ad though.  But I think I can deal with it because I am just not going to hand over my money to some rude cashier who can't seem to have enough respect for me to even say “Hello”. I have to look at the register to get my total and I never get a “Thank You” Most of the time they never speak.  They must have some sorry Management.

    • how do you get the Larabars coupon? It doesn't show when I use the link. Is it in a certain zipcode?

    • H_shorey

Just got back from Kroger in Cookeville, Tn. They had Nestle Crunch bars or Baby Ruth 2 for $1.00. I used the $.50 off two Nestle bars that came in SS the begining of this month wich Kroger doubled so the candy bars were free.

      • Gillyp3864

Hot dog! Thanks for the great find!

    • Renee

kroger in tupelo ms will not let u stack coupons for items, their policy is one coupon per item. They will not double ecoupons or let you use a manf. coupons with an ecoupon, and will only double a manf. coupon up to 55 cents.  a cashier said kroger is thinking of not doubling at all anymore since that show has shown so many people clearing out the stores!!

      • Truthspitta

Kroger in Tupelo, MS doubles up to 60 cents, not 55 cents.

        • Efranks41

          You are correct!

      • Davis1850

The one at Barnes Crossing posted a new sign by customer service. Will not take printed q's over 50 cents, limit 2 like printed q's, no b1g1 printed q's.  This list goes on and on.  Cashier was real nice and let me use the ones I had since I didn't know they changed the rules.  Of course I had already scanned everything in the self checkout and had 3 small (very fussy) kids with me.  So next time i will stop by and read over the rules BEFORE i spend all that time shopping with kiddos. Has the other Kroger changed any of their policies?

        • Truthspitta

How do we get a copy of the current coupon policy?  I looked on the website, and I could only find a digital coupon policy, not one for paper Qs.  I too shop at Barnes Crossing, and it seems that they can't just change the rules if it's not in their current coupon policy.  That's why I'm trying to find one online to print out and carry to the store with me.

          • Davis1850

I think each store has its own policy so they wont post it on the corp. website. I'm just going to stop by customer service (where the sign is posted) and jot them down real quick. You might could call and see if they will read them off for u before you go. I'm okay with them changing the rules and I try to follow them exactly.  It would just have been helpful if they were posted so you could see them before you shop, not when u check out.

            • Mozella

This is very true, because the Crosstown Kroger and Barnes Crossing Kroger both have different coupon policies. I know this because I have called the corporate office to see what their policies were, because at West Main Kroger they would only accept internet manufacturers coupons up to $1.00. They would not accept “free” internet manufacturers coupons, and they only took one internet manufacturers coupon on identical or alike items and so on. But now the policy has changed again, so I'm not really sure what it is. What they told me at the corporate office was that it's up to the Kroger store manager to decide whether he wants to accept or reject the coupons. That's exactly what's been happening, because it's been happening to me. I hope this helps a little bit.

          • Efranks41

I believe you can get a copy of Kroger's coupon policy at their customer service desk. I called Kroger Barnes Crossing just now and customer service said there is no NEW coupon policy. The only thing that has changed lately is the stacking of mfg Q's with ecoupons due to TLC Extreme Couponing show. I, too, shop at that store, so, I was very concerned about a change in coupon policy.

        • Efranks41

I just called Customer Service at Kroger Tupelo Barnes Crossing to check on a new coupon policy. They say there is no NEW coupon policy. The only thing they have changed is stacking a mfg Q with an ecoupon, and this was changed due to the TLC Extreme Couponing program showing of Jaime Kirlew misusing Q's at Safeway and seemingly getting away with it. I shopped Kroger BC Sat. evening without a problem except the young man missed one of my Q's. When I noticed that, I promptly called and CS said they would reimburse me with my receipt. :)

      • Efranks41

Renee, I believe Tupelo's Barnes Crossing store will double up to 60 cents…check it out! Have you signed up for SavingStar yet? That looks like a good way to save and I know Kroger and CVS are participating. :)

    • Kim

Our Kroger posted a sign stating they would not allow coupons to be used on their markdown/clearance items because they are already discounted. This doesn't make sense to me since they are going to be reimbursed by the mfg. Just another reason why I love Publix.

      • Laura

I had 3 different close out items today and the register rejected my coupons on all 3. That has never happened before. Rarely a cashier has said no coupons on close out, but most cashiers haven't seemed to notice and my Q's have gone through. Now that the register is handling it there's no way around it :(

My store only doubles .50 or less, so I could see them not wanting to lose money on doubling for marked down items. But my Q's were $1, $1 and 1.50 so they would have been reimbursed the full amounts. I really don't understand their problem with that. I don't see it accomplishing anything other than angering customers.

      • Angelas001

I'd heard this too but went ahead and tried usings coupons on closeout Nature's Bounty vit D and the closeout Easy off oven cleaner. Both went through without a hitch. I was at u-scan, but it didn't even beep for the attendant to check them.

    • Victoria

I am a newbie here, but love this site and the community support. I have a question about inserts. Why are *some* of my SS coupon inserts different than the ones posted here? I have had several instances where my insert does not match the coupon you indicate is available in the insert for that date. Particularly, all of the 4/17 SS coupons that you've matched I cannot find in my TWO 4/17 SS inserts. Same issue with the 5/08 SS. I'm in the Knoxville area. Is it a regional thing? I am confused. Am I missing something.

      • Mangotease

Some coupons that come in inserts are regional meaning that only a certain part of the country gets them.

        • Victoria

Thanks. It seems like the entire insert is different though. Ugh. There are very few sites that deal with all the stores in my area. This site has all the stores, but now the inserts are different. It just makes getting started doing this a little harder, but I'll learn the ropes :)

      • Efranks41

I have the same problem here in Tupelo, MS area!  The best inserts are going to other regions! Maybe it will be out turn to get the better inserts soon!!!!

      • Guy_coupon

It also depends on the insert as well… The newspaper SS coupons tend to be different then the at home mailer or the redplum one that comes to your house..

    • courtney :)

Question – Has anyone had trouble lately with Kroger accepting a $1/1 q with a BOGO q?  My Kroger no longer allows it and told me it was against couponing regulations.  Wondering if this is normal for them now or if I should perhaps email them.  I have no other grocery store available to me, so it's kind of a big deal.

      • Tyedyemomma

It worked for me last night with the wonka chocolate coupons.

      • Tracy

Yes, I had trouble.  They said only one coupon per “coupon offer.”  They showed me the policy and sure enough it was in there.  So if you use a BOGO coupon that applies to both items and they won't let you use the $ off coupon.  Kroger just keeps tightening the rules although they let people on THE SHOW get away all sorts of things with coupons.  The manager at my store said they do the show for publicity and that is why they let them get away with it.

    • Sierra_26

I went to Kroger today to find out they are closing that location and all their make-up was 50% off and of course I had coupons. My total should have been $33.45 but I ended up paying $3.23. Also my sauve body wash coupons scanned at $3.00 off so I ended up getting 6 bottles for 1.02! I had a great day shopping!!

    • Leanna

Thank you for posting the free candy and the suave scanning $3 off! I was able to get some free candy and the bodywash after $3 scan was 15 cents each! Great deals!

    • Owensmommy

what zip do you use for Larabar printable?

    • Efranks41

I was surprised Tuesday PM to find Nivea for Men Hair & Body Wash 16.9 oz on sale @ 2.99 at Kroger Barnes Crossing in Tupelo, MS. Had some $1/1 coupons…I thought not bad for 1.99 with reg. price being 7.49 each.

    • Tyedyemomma

I found 2 more great deals!! The Garnier hair products are on closeout for 1.88 if you use the 2.00 off any moisturizer or product you get them free plus .12 for each.   Also the dole pineapple coupon for .50 off one, if your kroger doubles up to .50 these are on sale for .79 a can.  It is the smallest can :) Hope that helps! I was so excited to find these last night!

      • UGAfan

where did you get the 2.00 off coupon? i tried looking for one and couldnt find it

        • Tyedyemomma

It was in the paper a few weeks ago.  It was a dark coupon with green writing.  You can also use the 1.00 in this weeks paper and they will only be 88 cents!

        • Joanna

The $2/1 is good for face treatments. The RP 05/01 insert has a couple of $1/1 hair products.

          • Tyedyemomma

It said treatment and I used it on hair treatments….

      • Leannaspivey

The Kroger in Spring Hill, TN is running a four day sale. It started on Wed. I found Chi Chi's salsa for .88 with the .50 Q FREE! Any one else know what other deals are included in this sale??

I meant to look around the store and find the other items, but my 2yr old fell asleep- it's hard to shop and hold up his head at the same time (what happens when he refuses to nap).
Anyways- THANKS for posting about the Chi-Chis, I got 6 bottles, has Q for 4 of them, the overage helped on the 2 extra jars! My store is on Nolensville Rd. in Nashville.
I LOVE these sales, got Sunkist canned tuna once for like $0.15 ea- still have some in the pantry! It's no wonder they don't advertise them.

Just went to Kroger to pick up some of those Scotch Brite Greener Clean Sponges. At my Kroger in Murfreesboro, TN, the 1ct sponges were on sale for $1.09 instead of $1.35, and using the printable -$1, cost me only $.09 each. Totally made my day =D

I found the new pop-up bowl Redenbacher's popcorn on sale for $1.50, and had a $1/1 for it. It was one of the odd tags- smaller yellow one that looks like it was typed/printed there in the store, instead of the regular big yellow sale signs. I never know what that implies- could be specific to just that store? Or is it just a replacement sign or something? Anyways, happy to get popcorn for $.50 (3pack).
