      • Guest

FYI, the Hefty coupon does not double, upc starts with 9

    • mermac3

I read on a recent post that we should have 2 smartsource & 1 red plum inserts this week (3/21). I am in the Richmond area & only got 1 red plum. We always get the same inserts that you post so I'm wondering what to do. Love your blog-I read it all the time! Thanks!!

      • AKellyinVA

We get the Richmond Times Dispatch, and there was 1 SmartSource with a Hasbro insert stuck inside that. The blogs were counting that as 2. There was also a RedPlum. One blog mentioned a McDonalds and a Burger King, and our papers didn't have those. I don't know how you'd recover the missing one, but we always check out paper before committing to it (we buy from a box or a convenience store). Sorry! I know that's disappointing.

        • mermac3

thank you for the info! I only got one insert & we have the paper delivered so I will probably call customer service. I need my coupons!! :)

    • Alisha

There was a $1/1 Ore-Ida Hashbrowns in today's inserts. They are included in the mega deal. I bought some last week.

    • Kate

Does anyone know what happens if you buy more than 8 of the mega event items? Do you get the mega event price if you are over 8 or do you have to purchase in increments of 8 (8,16,24) to get the cheaper price?

      • Lauren

Increments of 8, as many times as you want.

      • yockey11

I know that you don't have to buy these items in 8s. i can't find my receipt to see what it said, but I know I checked to see if I got the deals and I did.

      • asteelman

        I got $20 back!

      • 3moodys

You can buy as many as you want- the $4 comes off at the end of your transaction for every 8 items that you purchase- so, if you purchase 10, you still get the $4 off, it just doesn't make it as good of a deal. If you purchase 16 items, you get $8 off and so on. Hope this helps!

      • ambrayulin

Increments of 8, and I was told at my Kroger in Nashville, TN that we are only allowed 3 per transaction. I had 4 so I just rang the last one up separately!

      • Jennifer

I was told 3 at my store. I didn't want to chance it so I broke it up, the checker didn't seem to mind.

    • Pam

Today when I went to Kroger I gave the cashier three lysol coupons and three lunchables coupons. The cashier handed me back one lysol coupon and one lunchables coupon and said, “I can't take these.” When I asked why she said, “New rule. Only two of the same coupons.” Has anyone else had this happen?

      • Lauren

Technically we are only supposed to use 2 of any internet printable coupon at kroger's we just usually get away with more. You didn't say if they were IP's or not…?

        • Pam

Sorry, I forgot . No, they were not IP's. That's why I was confused.

          • HeathH

            What are IP's?

            • Libbytn

              internet printable :)

            • Michelle

I had this happen at my local store as well. I have no idea why they would want to limit manuafacutures coupons (that are not printables) Why would they want people to take their business elsewhere; they are reimburesed for the full price of the product plus a handling fee!

      • ASmith

Today I used 6 of the Shamrock milk from the paper without a problem.
I have been told 2 IP or PAH per item so probably just a miss communication of the policy.

      • amy

yes, went Thursday, took forever to get out of there because I had to refigure transactions into 8 because of new 2 like coupons only rule (not just internet printables but ANY coupons). Be forewarned and ask about this new policy before checking out. I'm in TX.

Its according to store. One store near my said that very same thing (on a newspaper coupon not an IP) . I just won't shop there anymore. My other 3 nearby Krogers have no problems taking it. Kroger's coupon policy varies by store and is up to the manager (not usually any firm corporate policy from what I understand).

I plan to write that 2 coupon kroger and let them know they have lost my business as such.

      • LORI

YES! I had the same problem in Virginia. I contacted the store manager, who really frustrated me and told me she would get back to me… After days of not hearing from her I contacted the Corporate office! This is what they emailed to me:

Please following the instructions below when accepting Internet Coupons:

? We will only accept “cents off” Internet Coupons. NO “free” product Internet Coupons will be accepted.
? All coupons are to be scanned at the end of the order.
? Quantity of purchased items must be satisfied per the coupon.
? Coupon must not exceed the value of the item.
? We will only accept two (2) Internet Coupons per manufacturer product per transaction.
? We reserve the right to reject any Internet Coupon that is altered or does not scan properly. Call for Supervisor assistance as needed.

        Watch for:
        Altered expiration dates
        ? Altered purchase limits
? Multiple coupons on the same item

        Double Coupon Policy
? We double all Manufacturer coupons on any item up to $.50 in value unless otherwise stated on the coupon.
? Limit one (1) coupon per item.
? If a customer presents a large quantity of like items and coupons, cashier should contact Management. None sold to Dealers and quantity rights reserved.

        Hope this helps!

        • Judi

Thanks for this info. I am having issues with my local Kroger and the clearance/discontinued items. They will not accept a coupon for these items even if I still owe $$. I contacted Kroger and it seems that particular policy is up to individual store owners discretion. Swell.

        • Pam

I received a call from the store manager today. After explaining what happened, he told me that my coupons should have been taken. He offered to reimburse me the $2.50 for the coupons they did not take.
          I was very pleased.
Thanks for the information on the corporate policy.

Last week I bought the Kellogs cereals using a .70/1 coupon found in in-store dispensers and the boxes I bought had $5 worth of coupons inside (there are different ones in each box) These boxes were marked.

      • I recently purchases two boxes of Kellogg's cereal that were specially marked and had $5 worth of different coupons in each box, what a great deal! I even had a coupon for “Buy any Kellogg's cereal and get a gallon of milk free”! Great coupons found in the Kellogg's cereals!

    • asteelman

I did the whole cell-fire and shortcuts coupons deal last week for this shopping list, and NONE of them were credited. Shortcuts has credited me $5.05 on my card (if it will work), but I haven't heard a word from cell-fire. I verified my card number again and everything. I bought several items specifically because I had both downloaded coupons and mfg coupons. The coupons that didn't credit totaled over $20.00! I have used the coupons off the Kroger website with no problem, but this was the first time I had tried these other 2 companies.

      • ToddDu

This might not help, but make sure to give your card before transaction starts.

      • Libbytn

Did you shop at your 'home' kroger? I think someone has mentioned on here in the past that the digital coupons won't work unless you shop at the one that your card is tied to. Just an idea. Or did you load them to your card at least an hour before shopping? At least the p and g coupons said you had to wait an hour. Sometimes mine don't come off either, but wow!

      • Heather

My cellfire and shortcuts have not been coming off the past couple of times I've been. They always did before, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

      • susansaver

I have had a few problems with both sites. Shortcuts credited my account immediately and the credit came off on my next shopping trip. It took Cellfire almost a week to respond to my complaint and they only credited a portion of the missing coupons. I can't complain too much because the coupons I contested were duplicated coupons stored on my account and even though most times both will come off in one transaction, apparently they have a policy about only one coupon per each item per transaction. Be patient with the Cellfire customer service. Hopefully they will get back to you soon, but don't expect much from them.

For those in North Fulton, the Kraft $2/2 coupons have been found at Publix. They also have $1/2 Steamfresh veggies and $1/3 Ore-Ida potatoes. Obviously the value is in the cheese with a $0.02 money maker on 2 packages but Steamfresh comes out to $0.68/bag after discount, shortcut and tearpad/maching coupon

      • pdsmama

I used to have this problem with cellfire and shortcuts. Try asking for the total before you hand over the q's. They have been coming off the total so far. Don't know for sure if this is why though.

    • DeAnn

There were tags on Coke 2L for $1/3 and tags on Vitaminwater B2G1. The Vitaminwater had to be the “10” brand and the computer took off the full price $1.25 for the free one, so that meant buy 3 for $1.00 total (after mega sale discount).

Also found the Kraft $2/2 at my Publix (Flowery Branch, GA).

Rain checks on these Buy 8 Mega items are only good if you plan to buy that item in increments of 8 once the sale ends. I can't find Bubble Bee tuna at any of my stores.

      • Traci

I had the same problem with the Bumble Bee tuna this past week as well. All gone…

      • zombiemommy

The Publix on Allgood/Sandy Plains has $2/2 too.

    • There is a coupon in the Family Circle magazine April issue for $1 off Ronzoni pasta, so you can get two free boxes using that coupon. Also, there was a coupon a few weeks back for .50 cents off Irish Spring soap, which will double to $1 off making a box of three free.

Jenny, We really enjoyed having you visit us in Huntsville this weekend. I ended up spending all night, sick, (sinus infection) at the ER on Friday night, but was NOT going to miss this!! My sister was going to come, but since I got sick she decided to stay home. So I brought my 13 year old daughter who LOVES to shop with me:) I have been couponing for several months now, but still learned a lot! We were at Publix later on that evening & I was going to get some Oreo Cakesters. Then I realized my coupon had expired on the 18th! So I put them back:( My daughter said, but MOM, Jenny said her Publix would take them for a week after the expiration date. So, Madison went & asked the manager & sure enough…they would still take them:) So we got to get our Cakester's!! Thanks Jenny! You are not only influencing us older folks, but also the younger generation, to enjoy saving money, and also, more importently to give to others. Anytime, I say, I know it's FREE, but, we really don't need it, my daughter reminds me that it would be a good thing to donate! Hope you enjoyed your visit to our little part of Alabama..Come back soon!

    • susansaver

There's a $0.50/1 Birdseye Steamfresh coupon in my 3/21 SS I got today. Using 2 paper Q's, combined with the $1/2 ecoupon, makes 2 bags of the Lightly Sauced variety $0.18 each!

      • shananava

Stinks we go no SS coupon in Ronoke , VA. Checked whole stck of papers.

        • shananava

Salem VA got them , at least i got a hold to one SS insert, that was a delivered paper though.

Question? Kraft coupon says $2.00 off 2 shredded cheeses. Can I use it on the Kraft cheese singles that are on sale?

      • guest

Well, is it shredded?…come on if you have to ask odds are you already know the answer

        • guest

I was asking the question about using the shredded Kraft coupon for Kraft singles because it was posted on this site as follows. I am new to all this so just trying to figure out if this is correct.

Kraft Cheese 6-8 oz or Cheese Singles 12 oz at 99¢ ea
-$2/2 Kraft Shredded Cheese in-store dispenser (makes both FREE)
-$1/2 Kraft or Cracker Barrel Natural Cheese shreds or chunk in-store dispenser

          • kokokitty

Hi. You cannot use that coupon on the singles. The reason she says “makes both free” is that you can buy 2 shreds (as specified on the coupon) and get them both free. The coupon is for $2 off 2, they are $.99 each so that means two for FREE! (You cannot get the singles for free but she lists them so that you will know they are on sale.) PS We were all new at this once! Happy Couponing!

Okay, I got 2 boxes of Fruit Loops in my mega order. Not really a great price when everyone else has them for $1.50 to $1.88 a box but there was $5 in coupons in each box that totally made it worth it. They don't expire until sometime later in the year, September I think. Quite a few Quaker oatmeal boxes also have coupons ($5) in them too. Some boxes are marked and some are not.

    • alexis

Sorry if this is already in the comments, but there is a catalina on California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas. Buy 2 get $1, 3 get $2, 4 or more get $3 on your next shopping trip.

    • GinnyW

At my Kroger in Gallatin, TN they had (last week) blinkies for .70 off Fruit loops. They are included in the March to Savings. And the Rice Krispies (got them at publix) have $5.00 worth of coupons in them. Though one box that was marked it had them did not. They have coupon packets1-3. I got 2 of the 2 packets. They are really great coupons! Hope this helps someone.

    • Joe

Hello all. I love this site. One question though—Is there any other site or way to get the Kroger ad a few days earlier?

    • AmberRut

CATALINA alert: Buy 3 Ziplocs and get a $2 catalina @ checkout. There are some new Qs from 3/21 for Ziploc AND they qualify for the SC Johnson Rebate that you can submit THREE times per household!! $$ Maker with rebates!

      • Erin

Last year, there was a tearpad for $1/1 Ziploc Freshshield bags with expandable bottoms at Food Lion. The coupons don't expire til later this year, so if anyone else has any and if they are included, could be free or moneymaker w/o rebate.

      • a_shrader

Is this the same Johnson and Johnson rebate Rite Aid is doing, or that completely different?

        • AmberRut

This one is through SC Johnson.

          Amber Rutledge

does anyone know how long the march to savings sale lasts? it didn't start till mid-march and i didn't know if it was explicitly a march sale. i'm loving krogers this month!! so far have spent about $50 and saved about $50, but the majority of my spending/saving has been because of this sales event. only a few items this last trip weren't on the sales list.

      • kate

        It lasts through March 27th.

And, you can ask for a rain check if the items are gone.

    • The Kroger in Aiken, SC on Whiskey Road has Huggies baby wipes on close out for 4.19 (the orange ones), the big refill pack with 200+ wipes. Use with the .50 coupon, it makes them 3.19 (not as good as free, but we desperately needed wipes LOL)

    • crickola

Does anyone have a link to the Beggin Strips Q? I searched on their site but didn't see it.
I guess it could be over.

    • Sav87

Just wanted to let everyone know that you can actually get a coupon for the Reynolds 100% Recycled Wrap on their website for $1.25 off instead of the $1 coupon that is listed. That makes the foil .24 cents instead of .49. Also, I tried to use both the printable and cellfire coupons for the nature valley nut clusters and it would only accept one of them so expect to pay $1.29 instead of .29 cents.

      • Lori

That shouldn't happen. I bought two and use two printables and has two e-coupons and they both came off. I paid 29 cents each.

      • Alyssa

THANKS! I went to the Reynoldskitchens website and was able to print 2 coupons for $1.25 off the recycled aluminum foil.

    • lucy

does any one know if Nashville tn kroger is matching ht triples

    • karynwilliams

How or where do you get the Kroger My magazine?

    • Tina

Anyone ever had a problem with Shortcuts ecoupons not coming off automatically? This is trip number 2 where this had happened…I am new to couponing and figured I just did something wrong the first time. This time though I made sure they were loaded to card and made sure I bought the EXACT item and the coupons still didn't come off. Any idea what I should do…email shortcuts or go to store. Anyone who has had any experience with this I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

      • Tina

ok, so I went to shortcuts website and they have a dispute form where you put in your receipt number then check the coupons that should have redeemed. Within 5 minutes I got a new coupon that was cash off my next grocery order for the total amount of all of the coupons that should have redeemed…I am pretty impressed that it was so quick and easy to resolve. Not so much that the extra step was necessary but at least I am not just out those funds.

        • Sarah

Be aware though that Shortcuts has a limit to how much they will credit. I had so many problems that I think mine ran out within about 3 months of beginning to use the program. I can't remember how what the $ limit was, but something like $15-20 seems about right. Now they will not credit me anymore, so I never count on them working when I decide whether or not to purchase an item. If it comes off, great. If not, oh, well!

    • vdawg

I was at Kroger last night and during check out, the cashier would not take several of the coupons that I had stacked, stating that you can not use two coupons on one product. (for example, I had 2 different coupons offering $1 off 2 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios) It was late and I decided to go home, look at their policy and come back. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find an official policy. I planned my trip based on these coupons and ended up spending way more than I had intended…any advice?

      • Erin

You can't use more than one manufacturer coupon per item. And I'm pretty sure you can't even stack Kroger coupons and manufacturers coupons. What made you think you could?

    • Cindy K

BE CAREFUL! Some of the items are not marked “Participating Item”, and when you get to the checkout, if you have more than 8 – but less that 16; all items over 8 will ring up at the regular sale price! You won't get your $.50 off per item. The receipt is Very confusing!

    • Cindy K

BE CAREFUL! Not all of the items are marked “Participating Item” on the shelf. If you get over 8, but less than 16, any items between will ring up at the regular sale price! You won't get your $.50 per item off…..

      • Aly B

I was 3 items short on one trip because I misread a label. When I went back 2 days later, they fixed it at the customer service desk. They even had a bar code for the “fix”. Take your receipt and they can check it on the spot!

    • Dawn

The Kroger in White House TN has a $2.00 coupon on bags of Tostitos. The Tostitos are included in the Mega Event. The final price per bag is 29cents. BTW the checkout lady said that there is no limit on the deal as long as you have multiples of 8.

    • caroline5

Thanks to the coupon fairy at the Irmo Kroger. They left a $1 off two packages of Kraft sliced cheese. I spent $13 and saved $37 on 19 items. What a great trip!

    • Rachel

Went today (3/27) at 6:30 pm. Ore Ida mashed potatoes were supposed to ring up 2.29, but rang up 3.72. Birds-Eye were supposed to be 1.68 but rang up 2.49, cheese was supposed to ring up .99 but rang up 4.99…… nothing on my list rang up on sale. Does anyone know what time the sale ends on the last day? I was assuming it would go through closing. But that was not the case. Plus I didn't get the $4 off 8 items. My trip ended up being $26 more than it should have been.

      • lynn

Same thing happened to me last night. I counted my items over and over to make sure I had 8 things on the list to get the $4 off. Each of the eight rang up more than it should. Luckily I only ended up $4 over what I thought I was going to spend

    • martha74

Thanks Jenny. Last night I spent $15, saved $59 and received $6 in catalinas. I was so happy!!!
