Think I will skip Kroger this week im pretty stocked up anways

      • Kenzbug

I started to reply “me too”, but I've got to go get some milk and break. My husband said “heck yeah, now that's how you save some money on shopping”. lol

    • Mathisi

couldn't get the taster's choice coupons or the pop chips coupon :(

      • Bonjour4paris

tasters choice site said updating.. so no coupons! Don't forget Publix has 1/2 price Quaker oats today and tomorrow!

    • Bsajanderson2

My Kroger informed me that you can no longer use an ecoupon and paper coupon together anymore. They also said the ecoupons you have loaded come off first no matter what so be careful what you load on your caed. I'm not happy at all about this. I say strike Krogers and hello Publix!

      • LeighO

I give my Kroger card dead last now, after my coupons. Works for me. Wish I had a Publix near me!

    • Schthomas1

$2/2 Mars candy offer has expired :-(

    • Jrcouponator

      What is Kroger My Magazine?

    • Elaineszoo

I also just confirmed my local Kroger (Roanoke, VA) is no longer taking ecoupons with paper coupons. WE DON'T HAVE A PUBLIX! What to do???

      • Thall561

        Same in Cookeville, TN

        • Bobobear3

same in athens, GA too. I even emailed corporate to voice my displeasure but they just said that had always been the policy (to only accept one coupon). I am lucky to have a Publix and will probably start shopping there and just hitting Kroger when they have a really good sale…that only requires one coupon!

        • 2kiddosmommy

So Cookeville's Kroger is no longer taking both ecoupon and paper coupons? Wasn't aware they had started enforcing this :(

        • Savannah

I'm sad to hear that about the Cookeville store. The last time I asked the manager told me that you could stack them. Wish they would make up their minds.

      • Feelingscrappy

Same in Richmond Virginia – I plan to just remove the coupons form my card because my paper coupon was better then the electronic and they said to late already used the electronic. Grrrrrr

        • Apurdy06

Same at chester Kroger. I am going to delete all of mine also.

          • Chkluvnlife

Yes, the same happened to me at the Midlothian Kroger in VA. I went to check out, and the ECoupon deducted before the paper coupon, and of course didn't double. I was used to stacking coupons so I was expecting a money maker. The cashier informed me that they changed the policy and had gotten a letter about it an hour ago! She said I could have returned and repurchased everything. I lost out on four bucks and some change. I will know now…not a happy camper!! They should have someone standing at the front informing customers!!

            • Chkluvnlife

I forgot to mention, what I did was went in and deleted all my coupons that were 50 cents and under, since Kroger only doubles 50 cents and under, I just kept the ones that were over that amount on my ecoupons.

            • Desiree

It has ALWAYS said on the kroger site where you load the ecoupons that you cannot use them along with paper coupons. I guess weve been lucky to get by with it as long as we have. My cashier told me that sometimes the register would let you and sometimes it wouldnt. Right now Im guessing its just the proctor and gamble ones that beep at our store. But they didnt change anything. They just werent following policy.

        • s3boys

Same at the Kroger I shop- happened to me Friday- paper coupon would have been more savings- did not know they had changed the policy until I was checking out and trying to use paper coupons. I did call and they said I could return the items.

        • Amy

Thanks for posting this. I am in Richmond, too, and was wondering if our policy had changed. Sorry you missed out. :( I don't know about you, but I sure wish Martins would post their ad online earlier. It's tough to know where to shop each week if I can't compare ads in advance.

      • Jen H

Which Roanoke location do you shop? I shop the Bonsack store and have been able to use both.

        • Elaineszoo

Hollins. It still worked for me there on Monday but I saw on Facebook that 2 of my friends just went shopping and it did not work for them. One went last night and one today and they couldn't use both so I called and asked the manager. She said it is true and they are no longer allowing customers to use both for a product. :-( E-coupons deduct first and if you try to add a paper coupon for the same item it will no longer work…. I emailed corporate and am writing snail mail to my actual store. I also emailed Food Lion corporate and suggested they start doubling coupons in this area to take advantage of Kroger's new policy! lol!

          • tinker

The Kroger in Vinton has also stopped allowing ecoupons and paper coupons.

      • gshell

go to target the still stack.

    • Corleyresearch

Yeah I doubt I will be shopping roger now what with all the new coupon policies. This will be great business for public!

      • Laura

I only had paper coupons on 2 items that I also had ecoupons for. Kraft singles were 2.49 and Nature Bounty vitamin sale price was 2.12. The cashier gave back my vitamin coupon but not the Kraft, the paper one deducted.

I assumed it was because the vitamin e.c. was $2 and the paper was $2 so both would have exceeded the item price.
But the Kraft e.c. deducted $1.00 and the paper was .55 and they both went through.

So I'm still not totally sure why one was ok and one wasn't unless it is that a paper + a e.c. can't exceed an item price.

      • Daymon

        I like shopping Roger…lol

    • Kenziesfunluvinfam

The Kroger I shop in Athens has also changed their policy! I emailed coorprate about this and received a phone call from the manager at the Athens store. He was extremely nice and informed me that he along with other stores are trying to get this changed. He said that there are alot of unhappy customers and he really appreciated my input. I would suggest you emailing coorprate if you have not. There is power in numbers!

      • Eerporter

What did he say was the new policy? I am in Athens too

        • Kenziesfunluvinfam

The new policy is no ecoupons and paper coupons can be used together. I found it interesting that he acted like that had never been a policy. He did say that the managers were trying to get this all worked out with coorporate, but with all of the Mega Deals they have been running allowing customers to use ecoupons and paper coupons the store is really taking a hit. So I don't know for sure what will happen. Good Luck!

      • Sharwinberry

I'm glad you got a good response from. Your email to corporate. My reply was. Here is the new policy. That's the way it is. They said I could delete my ecoupons. I did delete the ones I could, but there are some you can't. I will have to wait until the expiration of that coupon. It would have been nice if they had printed that they have a new coupon policy on their ads.

      • Bobobear3

WHich store in Athens did you speak to the manager? I might need to be sure and shop there.

    • Billy_clover

      Is Xtra on sale?

      • Guest

Xtra is in my paper for 1.98

      • shops2much

        Yes,,1.98 I think.

    • Sandee S.

I just went to Kroger last night and bought $259 in groceries for only $90 after coupons. My cashier was amazed at my savings and asked me if I ever loaded the Kroger e-coupons and I told her that I did. Her response was “Well, you know that you can use the paper coupon with the Kroger e-coupon to save more money, don't you?” I was shocked that she was encouraging me to stack the coupons. I told her that I was aware that some people did that (I didn't admit to anything…haha) but I thought they were putting an end to that and she said “No, we take both here.” I'm in Kentucky so I'm not sure if it just isn't being enforced or it hasn't hit yet. Nonetheless, she was encouraging me to do it.

      • Sandra

My TN Kroger cashier told me..the cashier has the power to push the q's through. She told me that she always allows both at her register!!!!! I will be looking for her from now on…..

        • shops2much

As a former Kroger cashier I can tell you that she won't do that for long…if her override % is over the NORM range it triggers a Security Alert and they will have a ” procedure meeting” with her….and if she is on camera giving it to the same people consistently they might do more than have a meeting.

          • Desiree

Ive had a cashier offer to take coupons that were for items that I didnt even buy (when he asked why I was pulling coupons out of the stack I had planned to use but they were out of the items) I wouldnt allow him to do it because not only does it take away from the thrill of the hunt, I didnt want him to lose his job! Not worth it. I know some people cant think past themselves but hopefully most do.

      • Trudy

Sandee – where are you at in KY?

        • pdsmama

I am in Owensboro, KY, and so far I am able to use both.

      • Connie

I know that Kroger in Beaumont Texas has stopped stacking Coupons.

      • Momstepmom75

I go to the Kroger in Morehead, Ky and they are NOT taking both now, I just found that out last week. They have been taking both for years and suddenly stopped so be careful, they could be changing yours soon too. It cost me around $15.00 more than what I was planning.

    • Jen

Feeling Scrappy. . which Kroger in Richmond Va?? I was afraid that was going to happen. :(

    • CforestMbeach

Lean pockets coupon not showing up on facebook?

    • DanainDecatur

So bummed about the new coupon policy at my Kroger (Decatur, AL). Just saw post where someone emailed corporate….I plan on doing the same!

    • tinker

I think i saw a post that you can not use more than one coupon for the same product in the same transaction. Like if you have 2 boxes of pasta and 2 coupons they will only let you use one coupon. Is this true?

      • It depends on the store. My store allows only one coupon per item, unless the coupon states otherwise, ie. Buy 2 get $1 etc. They don't care how many items I buy of a single type. I know several people said they were having problems with it in their stores.

        • Skislady

I was able to get 17 boxes of pasta last week for free. I had no problems checking out. I am in Knoxville.

      • Chiefsangeleyes

My store only allows 2 printable coupons per item. I bought several “varieties” of the Ronzoni pasta that was on sale yesterday. Because I only got enough to cover two coupons for each “variety” i was ok :)

Concerning the coupons for Popchips potato chips – You must buy 3 bags to use both coupons. The B1G1 coupon covers two bags. As you are allowed only one coupon for that set, you must buy another bag for the second coupon. I should know as I've been a chashier for over 20 years.

      • Chiefsangeleyes

Actually Bethany, per manufacturer rules, the b1g1 coupon applies toward the FREE item. You can still use a coupon on the other :)

    • Sam

Please update Lean Pocket Facebook printable to say “No more prints”

    • Amyanb

Pepperidge Farm Breakfast breads are also on sale for $1.98. With the coupons out there, this is a really good deal.

    • Jo R

Johnsonville sausage is on sale for 3.98 and I think I have a q for .50 off – not a bad deal. I got the q off of my cheese- it's box a few weeks back. I know you can get the store brand cheaper but we LOVE johnsonville!

    • Tracy

Last week I bought Nestle Good Start Soy Powdered Formula (the big cans). When I bought two of them at $19.99 each, and used two $5 off coupons from allyou.com, it generated a catalina for $5 OYNO. That’s a decent price on the formula, and with coupons and catalina it was like getting them for $12.49 each. Awesome deal. Don’t know how long it will work.

FYI- I was wandering through Kroger yesterday and saw a tearpad by the cheese for $1/1 kraft w/ a touch of philly

    • Sherrie

If I have some Seventh Generation coupons, but they say limit 1 coupon per purchase, does that mean I can only use ONE coupon during my visit? Or can I use 4 coupons on 4 items? I've got 4 different coupons (well two for laundry, two for dish detergent). I'm new at this. Thanks! I'm in Middle GA if it helps!

      • Linda

Sherrie you can use 1 coupon per item and if you have 4 coupons you can get 4 items at the same time.

        • Sherrie

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I was hoping that would be the case. :)

          • Desiree

Unless the coupon states( for example) get a dollar off when you buy two. Then two items would equal one purchase.

    • Andrea

I can't find the printable coupon for Popchips on the facebook page. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks!

    • angela

the krogert coupon policy needs to be updated. They are now enforcing no paper coupon for a product that you have an ecoupon for. I found out today when I couldn't use my higher valued paper coupon because my .25 ecoupon was used :(. They also rejected an insert coupon that would have made a product free plus overage.

      • sarahcas

I had that same thing happen to me last week. I told them that if they couldn't take the ecoupon off (the paper coupon was higher value) I didn't want the product. I understand why you can't use both, but they should make it so you can choose whether or not you want to use an ecoupon. Oh well, I ended up not buying four products because of that.

      • Bobbi

I had a cashier tell me I couldn't stack paper and ecoupons for the first time yesterday. I said, “Oh, I can't use both?” and she initially said no, but then she said she would try to push it through anyway, and it worked. I hope this no stacking thing doesn't start getting enforced everywhere. I wasn't at my regular Kroger, and this is the first time anyone has said anything about it to me. I'm in the Louisville area.

    • Ljturner623

I went to Kroger a few mins ago and they are not allowing you to use paper and ecoupons together anymore. That was in Knoxville TN. The cashier I had said that they are not getting ther money back when they are doing that. I just dont think this is right that they are doing this. They are trying to find was to get at us for using coupons. Im going to call Corp. and see what they tell me. Good look to everyone out there

      • Bee

I personally think they are telling the truth about not getting their money back as they are both manufacturer coupons and the manufacturer is not going to pay out 2 coupons on one item.

I think Kroger knows a lot of people are disappointed. I think they will eventually address it by issuing more store coupons, like the ones Target does. The Target coupons are for lower amounts than the manufacturer, but combined with them make good deals.

It's not very realistic to expect to get a bunch of items for free or moneymaker consistently, as was happening with the e-coupon situation.

        • guest

Thank you Bee! Someone who understands how the system works and appreciates ANY discounts, rather than being ungrateful! Well said, Bee! Well said!

          • Guest

Super Target and Publix will have my business from now on!!!!

      • Shannon

At least the ecoupons are taking off for each item instead of just one like they used to, I did the diaper deal and I had the $2 off ecoupon. I bought 3 packs and it took $2 off three times.

        • Erin

There were three different diaper ecoupons. If you bought the same product and all three came off, you're lucky. I bought two packs of Swaddlers for $4-something on closeout and none of the ecoupons came off.

      • guest

If you continue to argue the e coupon and man. stacking policy, you will end up like Houston and Kroger will no longer be allowed to double. Houston got in trouble for accomodating the customers and didn't follow the rules the manufacturers set for them.

      • Cyndi

Which Kroger did you go to in Knoxville? Did the paper coupons just not come off (did the register beep?) or did the cashier see that you had an e-coupon and paper coupon for the same item and wouldn't scan it? Thanks!

        • Ljturner623

The Clinton Hwy store. I dont know if she saw it are if it beeped she was just hateful about it.

    • LeighO

FYI, the “Post Kix” cereal coupon is an error. Kix is General Mills :( I'm hoping Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal is included in the deal, because I have a $1/1 Q for that that I've been waiting to use.

      • Superjen

I had to go back and buy one more thing to get my 10 things last night, luckily they are really nice at my Kroger. I felt stupid for not checking the tag first, I was just excited about Kix on sale since we love them :)

    • Beautifulbrat55

Just wanted to post again about what I got back from corporate office about their new policies. Aparrently they have never allowed stacking of ecoupons of manufacture coupons (this made no sense to me) and now they are just enforcing it. Also I have heard that you can no longer use multiples of the same coupon in one transaction. Example – Ronzoni pastas last week I had 2 coupons stating $1/2 Smart Taste – I got 4 boxes but had to put 2 in one transaction and 2 in another 2 to use both coupons. It doesnt take much more time but is a little annoying. If you can make up your shopping lists in transactions so its easier on everyone when its time for checkout.

      • Jeniver

I didn't know about not using multiple coupons, but our store let me use 5 of same coupon. I got 10 ronzoni pastas in one transaction with 5 identical coupons. Is this chain wide? Hope it doesn't change at mine. (I am in WV)

        • Erin

My Kroger has always limited IPs to two like coupons per transaction. I don't think there's a limit otherwise, though I rarely have more than two like coupons anyway.

          • Amanda

Same here–they let me use two of each printed coupon.

    • sunflowergurl

OK…. since Kroger isn't letting us stack them anymore (I haven't had any issues at my store “yet”)…..scan the paper coupons first, then scan your card…..or is there something stating your card HAS to be scanned 1st?

      • Gloryboundfarm

My Kroger in Dublin, GA… won't double your paper coupons unless you scan your card first :(

        • Kristan

          Mine won't either :(
Kroger's about to lose a lot of business if they take away our stacking coupons. That's the only reason I shop there.

          • Kittikat1119

Houston area Krogers just hit us with a double whammy. We can no longer stack coupons and they are going to stop doubling and tripling next month. I think I am only going to be shopping at kroger when there is a really good deal.

            • lina

yes i just saw on local houston news that kroger in april will stop double and triple coupons, a week ago i foun out they dont accept anymore ecoupons with paper,…i think i will stop shopping there unless they come with better policy sad

            • guest

Houston Kroger's got in trouble with manufacturers and not following the rules the manufacturers gave them with coupons. So because so many let stacking slide and other little money savers for people, they got busted and they can't double anymore. It has always been Kroger's policy not to stack e coupons with man. ones. The glitch in the system that allowed you to get food for free was finally caught.

      • Moonrisestables

u have to scan card to get doubled! Our store in Martinsville, Va still does both e coupons and man. coupons.

    • Asmith

Did anyone see AFV in which the little girl was trying to pop a Kroger balloon. She tried to sit on it, lay on it, hit it with a broom and was finally successful with a brick. So funny.

      • Mikegushoops

We saw it! Actually, it was my daughter! :) Her persistence paid off after about 25 minutes. Kroger sure makes tough balloons!

    • Jbuttimer

For those of you who have iPhones, there's a free app from Kroger where you can manage your ecoupons on the spot. I use it as I shop to add coupons or make sure I have a coupon. It takes a little bit for the changes to take place but by the time I finish they have either posted or deleted.

    • Amy

Does anyone know which Quaker and Post cereals are $1.88 this week? The ad says select varieties…Thanks!

    • Leah

I think there might be a typo on the Coke sale. My ad (Atlanta area) says 12-pk, 12-oz. cans are 3 for $13 and 6-pk., 16.9-oz. bottles or 8-pk, 12-oz bottles are 3 for $10.

      • Angelas001

I saw the same pricing her in Nashville, thought our prices were just that much higher. Maybe it IS a typo.

    • Angelas001

Seventh Generation pull ups are on close out at my store for $6.49 (reg $12.49), and with a $1 off any Seventh Gen product they beat the the Huggies I thought I just got a good price on ($8 – $2Q).

    • Dtcox

well jenny a good week to sort out coupons and get deals together its 30 temp and 3 inches of snow and still snowing here in v a . look out cvs this week when i can get out take care

    • Exsquid22

I have been hearing from a few sources that Kroger accepts Walgreens RR. Does anyone know this to be true? And if so are they accepted just like a man. coupon? Are there any limits as to the amt. or qty of RR allowed per transaction? JUst curious if anyone has heard this or infact used them.

      • Bobbi

My Kroger (Louisville area) won't accept coupons with another store's logo on them. But it may vary from store to store.

      • andie98

I haven't tried it, but I have heard that they will use Walgreen's coupons that prints out of their catalina machine. IF that's true, then I bet you can uses your RR…

    • Momstepmom75

I go to the Kroger in Morehead, Ky and they are NOT taking both now, I just found that out last week. They have been taking both for years and suddenly stopped so be careful, they could be changing yours soon too. It cost me around $15.00 more than what I was planning.

    • Becky

HI everyone, new couponer here, can someone please help me out? Printed the coupon for Oscar Myer fully cooked bacon as per the sale list above and it says Redeem at Publix on it…….can I still use this at Kroger? I don't have a Publix store near me……..thanks.

      • Mel

If it says manufacturer's coupon at the top (and the bar code starts with a “5”) you can use it. If they give you a hard time, just tell them it doesn't say ONLY redeemable at Publix. It's just telling you that it CAN be redeemed there (among many other stores). But if it says “store coupon” then it can only be redeemed at the store listed.

        • guest

Very wrong Mel! If it says another store, it cannot be redeemed at Kroger. It will not be in their system and they will not be reimbursed by the manufacturer. If people want to know WHY Houston isn't doubling anymore…they got in trouble with manufacturer rules…because of people who try to cheat the system like THIS example. Play by the rules or get off the field! (says the Kroger manager's wife)

          • Becky

ok, mel and guest, thanks for your reply, but why is Southern Savers putting these coupons that I am printing in the Kroger section of the web site? That is why I am so confused, I am trying to make my list so I can go to Kroger and as I start printing coupons for items I want they have Publix on them, well I do not have a Publix any where near me! And the little icon by the coupon in the KRoger list has an M in it so I would assume it is a Manufacturer's coupon when you are saying it is not???? NOt looking to rip anyone off just trying to save my family some $$………thanks for all of your help.

            • Bee

Becky, the best I know these coupons are manufacturer coupons, with the universal qualification that they have a manufacturer remit address and a certain type bar code.

There are Publix store coupons but in this particular instance, it is not a Publix issued coupon.

Most stores attempt to affix their logo in a suggestive manner to manufacturer coupons. It most certainly does not mean they must be redeemed at that store. Some are a little more forthcoming than others by using wording such as “May be redeemed at Ingle's.”

            • Mel

That was exactly what I was trying to say. Guest, I'm sorry if I offended you, but I do try to “play by the rules.” I'd like to hear what Jenny has to say about this. I'm going to look up the Kroger coupon policy as well. Most other stores will say that they accept a manufacturer's coupon as long as it starts with a “5”. The Publix logo on there is simply advertising to my knowledge.

            • Sandra

Guest is WRONG!!! it is a manu coupon and COULD be used at Kroger. Getting them to take it is another story. I happen to have a cashier at mine that is an avid couponer and knows the rules, she takes them because she knows they are legit!! Good luck!!!

          • Bee

Sorry, that's not the way capitalism works. If we lived in a communist run country where the government lays out your food choices and prices, then your sentiment might work.

As it stands, competition is still alive and well in America, even more so due to a struggling economy. I don't know which “manufacturer rules” the Houston stores got in trouble about, but why make ALL the customers who were merely taking advantage of a published promotion suffer for the actions of perhaps a minority of dishonest customers and a series of mistakes on the store's part?

My Kroger managers are VERY nice. They understand that while they own the title “manager” they are there to serve both their employees and the customer. A manager's job is to make sure their employees have the tools they need to properly do the job. If employees were taking coupons they shouldn't, then they need PROPER training. Most customers who walk into Kroger are not rogue coupon freaks who want 500 candy bars for free!

There is ALWAYS somewhere else to shop and there is ALWAYS another grocery store watching to see if your advantage on the playing field (in this example, coupon doubling) is no longer there, so they can take the lead (to follow your analogy).

Just ask Wal-Mart. It does not pay to ignore market forces and the realities of a depressed economy. The Kroger shareholders need to relax about raising prices. People do not have any more money than they did last year and still are not getting raises.

People can actually do without at least half of the grocery store offerings. The only reason I bought certain brands before is because my store encouraged the e-coupon stacking. When they said it was a no-go, then I immediately reverted back to paper. However, I no longer buy all those General Mills and Procter and Gamble products. No value for the price. Charging over $5 for body wash?! Tons of people only make $10 an hour and that's before taxes! Half of your hourly wage to take home a bottle of soap?!

We are solidly middle-class and I still think those type prices are a colossal ripoff.

It would be great to live in a world where we didn't NEED coupons and could expect a fair price straight from the manufacturer to the retailer to the consumer. It's never going to be that way. I realize that Kroger must pay a certain price as a retailer, but I also know this humongous chain has special relationships with their vendors, especially P&G.

I am a loyal Kroger customer but if they can't stay in the game, I will go right across-the-street to those who are celebrating because Kroger is no longer stealing their customers.

          • Guest

This is why I will be moving my business to Publix…neither Kroger, their employees or their employees realtives have any clue what they are talking about. Kroger sends their coupons to a clearing house (I work for the one that they send them to) and they get credit for all MANUFACTURER'S coupons regardless of what store name is on them. Mel and Bee are correct, the Publix logo is just a suggestion! Store coupons have STORE listed at the top!

      • Joshandsarahp

My Kroger turned me down. I tried explaining I printed it from the Kraft site, not publix. They didn't care. So, I put the bacon back!

    • blakesMOM

Hello, I'm a new couponer and I just wanted to say that this website is the bomb. Last week was the first time for me and I saved 68% on my shopping trip. Thanx Southern Savers!

    • Herrickfam

Does anyone know how the $25 in free groceries if you transfer a Rx works. Do you need a coupon from the ad. If so I can't find it. Please help

      • Moyerdz

My store had the coupon at the pharmacy so I didn't even need to hand them one. It usually take about 30 minutes for the coupon to load onto your Kroger card so hit the pharmacy first and hopefully by the time you check out the money will be loaded on your card.

        • Herrickfam

          Very cool, thanks!

    • Karri

WOW just saw on facebook that Kroger's in Houston and dropping the doubling and tripling of coupons. I hope this doesn't go nationwide. I will be very disappointed and shop elsewhere.

      • CindeLucas

They will add the $25 to your Kroger Plus Card. You don't have to have a coupon.

    • lina

Very upset with Houston Kroger, just saw on news they will stop triple and double coupons, last week found out no more stacking e-coupons with paper… I say bye bye to kroger bc i dont like they new policy changes

      • Bee

        Just curious…did they offer why?

Double coupons here are .50 and below only and they don't eat that much off my bill.

Were the Houston doubles higher than .50? And is it a complete reversal?

You would think they could just limit number of doubles the way Ingle's does. I still manage to save a lot of money there even though you must spend $10 (before coupons) to get 3 coupons doubled.

I read “Refunding Cents” magazine and the editor said after the “Extreme Couponing” show that stores will get to the point they stop doubling. I just didn't expect a backlash so soon.

If my Kroger stops taking Internet printed coupons, I will never shop there again.

        • Jessica

Kroger said that only about 7% of their customers in that area use coupons. They are focusing the money that was used for doubles and triples towards their gasoline discounts because they think it will attract more customers.

    • Tony

People…quit complaining. It has been a good ride while it lasted. Now Kroger (in this awful economy) needs to survive. It has been their policy not to take both man. and ecoupon. We just kept getting lucky. If it now means not giving money away…then so be it. There shouldn't be something like a money maker. I mean really!!! Be thankful for the last couple of years of “free” food.

      • Karri

I for one am not upset about the ecoupons. But if they quit doubling and tripling then they will loose my business. To many other stores do this along with stacking if I loose both options I will have to take my money elsewhere. I love Kroger and hate to do it.

        • Dalpaigec

The bad part of this situation is that the paper coupon is doubled and the ecoupon is not. I didn't know this policy had changed until Sat when my paper coupons were denied. I said well if I had known that, I wouldn't have added any ecoupons because I'm leaving money on the table by the no doubling. If they don't want to take both paper and electronic, that's fine and I understand, but if they are going to double, then they need to double e coupons too, or I will stop using ecoupons.

          • pinkieswear

I only add e-coupons that are over 50 cents and / or are something I think my family will buy ( they would never use a coupon) and I would miss out on if I didn't load it.

        • Wandaleec

when I signed up for e-coupons it CLEARLY stated that an e-coupon and a paper coupon could not be used together for the purchase of one item. I have not been surprised that their software rejects attempts to do otherwise.

      • Lisa

I don't consider it being lucky. It's Kroger's job to market their products and get the consumer in the store. They like to drive the traffic into the store but don't want to compete with the others. Publix take all coupons (with very little exception) to attract their customers. Kroger gets reimbursement from the manufacturer, and they are only out the e-coupon (which doesn't double). If Kroger doesn't want our business, I know Publix does.

        • Debbie

I am finding my Publix is getting more and more picky about what they will accept.

        • Amanda

The point is, (for example) they sell box of cereal. You use one manu. paper coupon & one manu. e-coupon. If the paper doubles, they loose the double amount. BUT, they are submitting 2 manufacturer's coupons for 1 box of cereal and you can't do that!

      • Desiree

Exactly. It has always been their policy to not take both. And that is due to the manufacturers issues with it. (and you cant blame the manufacturers for not wanting to pay our grocery bills for us) Kroger gets reimbursed ONLY if they are if they are following the rules. And there are coupon redemption centers that check if the rules are being followed. However Kroger has very high prices on non sale items. So the doubling of coupons will be missed. And I will stop shopping so much at mine if they stop in my area. As their sales tend to run in a pattern on the same items. One can only eat so much kraft cheese, grands biscuits, and pizza rolls :D

    • Mel

Anybody know if Kroger will accept a catalina coupon for $1 off Life cereal from Food Lion? It's a manufacturer's coupon so they should, but I didn't know if they were picky about stuff like that.

      • April

        mine does not

      • Haneylou

        Mine does…middle TN

    • Dalpaigec

I tried to get the Facebook Popchips coupons but once I “liked” them, I don't see anywhere to get a coupon…. Any once else find it??

      • Haneylou

I posted the same problem to them, and they said they were out of coupons but to check back for another promotion. :-(

    • mizlulu

I've tried to get the Dove visible care body wash with no success. Tried 3 times different occasions, website just takes my info but no coupon! Anyone else have same problem?

    • guest

Thank you Bee! Someone who understands how the system works and appreciates ANY discounts, rather than being ungrateful! Well said, Bee! Well said!

    • Angelas001

I didn't see Land of Lakes butter listed, it's in the Nashville ad for $2.98/lb. I can't stand paying nearly $5 for butter, which we use a lot of, so I stocked up last time at this price and still have some left, but I can't pass up this chance! Just wish I could find coupons to go along with it. It does say select varieties, I sure hope it's the 'normal' 1 lb packages.

    • kik

HHHEEELLLPPP!!! Ive tried eveything I know to try. Just learning to use Southern Savers. When I click on “printable”, it only takes me to Recyclebank home page. I cannot find anything relating to the coupon I clicked! What am I doing wrong?

      • Mary

You have to sign up on the Recyclebank site, then there are several ways to earn points which can be redeemed for coupons. You need 100 points I think to get the Kashi coupon. HTH

    • Moyerdz

I went on PG but I don't see anywhere to get the ECoupon. Help!

      • Jennifer

try http://www.pgesaver.com. That is the site I download my PG e-coupons from.

      • Krenhamil

I found mine on the Kroger site.

    • Cyndi

Does anyone know how it works at Kroger if you have a B2G1 coupon and then additional $ off coupons? For example, I have a B2G1 coupon and a $1 off of 4 for the same item. Can I buy 4 items and use both coupons?

      • Cyndi

Or maybe 5 items and use both coupons?

    • Blueyes13

I had read somewhere else that Kroger was no longer allowing you to stack the ecoupons with the paper. but I thought I will still try it in case my store hadn't started it yet. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to use both except on one product. I thought that was strange, but the cashier scanned my paper coupon for Nature's bounty vitamins and she said, “oh I'm sorry, but you had an ecoupon that was already applied so you can't use this one.” But yet all of my other ones worked. I even had 2 items there were money makers. So, I guess I will continue to try to use both and see what happens. I live in Middle TN.

    • Stacy

Went to my kroger (2 notch rd. in columbia, sc) on Monday morning to do the P&G deal. When I got to the register nothing rung up as the sale price and it didn't take $5 off…if I'd had a cart full of groceries I might not have noticed but I pretty much just had diapers and wipes. The cashier called the manager over and they got it straightened out (after the manager made a few trips to the back) but the cashier said they'd had a lot of problems with their sale items not ringing up right…apparently they hadn't translated the prices to the front of the store….hopefully they have it fixed now but if you're at that Kroger keep an eye on how your items are ringing up! Also, watch your coupons…it didn't double my paper coupon, which the cashier fixed once I pointed it out.

Unless I missed it, I don't see McCormick spices on the list- they're on sale in my store, I'm so excited because I've been hoarding a stack of their coupons just waiting… and to top it off they'll print a catalina $1.50 for buying 2, $2.50 for 3. I just hope they're well stocked…

      • ponygirl19

Angelas001 I am new to the couponing… you mention “to top it off they'll print a catalina $1.50″….. what does this mean ?

        • Diana_mcadams

The coupons that come out at the register are called catalinas, so if she buys 2 of the McCormick spices it will print off a Catalina for $1.50 off her next shopping trip, if she buys 3 then it will print of $2.50 off her next shopping trip. Kroger has deals like these all the time. Jenny will post them to let us know what they are

New Story…Kroger doesn’t allow stacking anymore

      • Joanna21

I did my krogering today and didn't know about this! Needless to say, I was a little annoyed when they told me I couldn't use my coupons. That is one of the reasons I liked shopping there.

    • Diana_mcadams

I just got a great deal on Pampers, I bought 3 just as you suggested, then my Kroger still takes paper q's along with the e-q's, so I had 3 $1/1. That made it $4.32 each, then I got a surprise at the end. I got a $3 of next shopping visit catalina. My sister is due in July so everytime I see diapers I stock up for her this was a great deal. I am going to get the Huggies at Publix today.

Some of the items posted on the blog were not on sale at my Kroger in Hendersonville, TN. Does it just vary sometimes? I had my coupons & deals all figured out & got to the store & couldn't do a few b/c the sale was not advertised on the shelf? Any thoughts?

      • Ambowersock

The Nashville area does not always have the same things on sale as the area this website is for, we are a different region. But I still find it very useful and there usually not too many differences, mostly on meat items.

Grrr Kroger . . . trying to do the right thing and you all make it hard. Not supposed to stack e-coupons anymore so I took the time to remove the $2 Pampers Cruisers e-coupon from my card because I was going to buy 3 and wanted to use 3 $2 paper coupons. Go to the checkout and my coupons beep! Me not realizing what happened convince cashier to force coupons because I bought the right stuff. After receipt prints I see e-coupons applied. Come home and research – the Pampers Swaddlers applies to the Cruisers!!!! So I ended up unintentionally stacking. The least P&G and Kroger can do is work together to make it easy for us to follow the rules!

Does anyone know the Kroger policy on items that scan at the wrong price? I just had the customer service lady act extremely rude before she was proven wrong. No apology or anything. They gave me difference back, but I know some stores have a policy that the item is free, is that true with Kroger? The store is in Peachtree City, GA.

      • Stamped2aT

I was told at another Kroger that the first item scanned wrong, you get for free but if there are multiples of the same item, you would get one for free and the difference back on the others. I don't know that this is a corporate policy but I would definitely follow up on that because they need to know if employees are treating customers badly.

      • Extrafor6

I'm almost certain that it is a corporate policy that you get the first item that scans wrong free and any others at the price they are marked for.

      • Ctcjsbag5

My Kroger in Covington, GA has the sign posted in the store that says the item is free. Tide Stain Release scanned the wrong price. I told him they were on sale. He checked and then gave me the item for free.

        • shops2much

The policy is you get the first one free if it scans wrong ( or if it's over $5.00 you get it at the correct price plus $5.00 gift card) and any you purchase over one will be rung up at the correct price.

      the nescafe coupons are gone:(

in Kroger's this evening Energizer 8-10pk of AA batteries were $2! They had the strange yellow tags that don't look like the normal tags, they have less info- I see them around occasionally and never know what to think. Anyways, on the 10 pack that's a 25cent each which is what generic ones at Sams are and the point at which I'll bother with name brand. But with a $1/pack of Energizer, that's 10 for $1. Yahoo! Too bad AAA weren't that price too, their the ones all my kids' Geotrax take.

    • Angelas001

Oh, and a question- the coupons that print at the checkout that have Kroger on them but also say Manufacturer's coupons- are they store or man coupons?? I need to know whether I can stack a regular man q with it for 7th Gen detergents.

      • Extrafor6

        They are almost always mfc's.

I mailed my sister 5 BOGO Pedigree canned dog food coupons. She's going to use them this week. She's new to couponing and I was wondering if anyone had had any trouble with these. The promotion is if you buy 10 of them, you save $5 instantly, correct? then with the coupons, it should come out almost free. I just dont want her first couponing trip to be difficult.

      • shops2much

the save $5.00 instantly ended last Saturday. However there is a Catalina deal …buy 12 get $2.00 cat coupon ,,,by 10 to 11 get a 1.50 cat coupon,,,by 10 get $1.00 Catalina coupon…if she buys ten she will pay for 5@79 cents and get $1.00 catalina coupon with her receipt.

Kroger ( Atlanta Div) has a baby event …get$5.00 back when you buy $25.00 worth of selected baby products…

Do many people ever have issues with coupons being scanned at Kroger? I tried using some coupons last week and the cashier said they were already deducated via ecoupons. After getting home and rechecking my ecoupon accounts, I found that I had no records of ecoupons for those items. I'm trying to figure if it's worth it to take the receipt to customer service.

      • Srnmccullough

happened to me last week too, but after talking with the manager they saw that I had not used any ecoupons.
