Kroger Weekly Ad 5/03-5/09

on 5.3.2009 at 11:08pm

This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

I wasn’t too thrilled with the Kroger ad this week, 5/03, so I went to Kroger to find some more deals. It’s still not a huge week but there are a few more things to grab. If you see anything I missed let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

To see coupons matches for cellfire e coupon go here. Cellfire will load new e coupons on Tuesday so go and load the current coupons now and have both sets to use!

Shortcuts also just loaded new e coupons. I recommend loading any Cellfire or Shortcuts coupons you think you might use. Better to do that than wish you could load it in the store. Don’t worry so much about P&G eCoupons.

  1. Load your P&G, Shortcuts and Cellfire Coupons before going out. <(<)
  2. You can use a paper coupon with all the above e coupons for FREE products or even better savings WHY
  3. You do not have to buy 2 of B1G1 items to get the sale price
  4. Most Kroger stores double coupons that are .50¢ or less

Is V8 Fusion also $2.50? If it is, we could use the $2 off coupon at tryV8.com.

    • Angela

Just FYI – the Kroger on Forest Dr has the Organic booklets like Publix – right near the Barbara’s BOGO cereal. It has the $1 off coupon in there!
Haven’t tried the cereal yet, but it looks good.
I have to stop buying cereal for a while… have over 25 boxes.

ps – the $2 off Contessa blinkies were in BiLo as well.

    • Christa

can someone tell me where the Daisy sour cream , powerade, and nestle cookie dough coupons are found – the insert dates are wrong above.

    • Christa

comforts infant water – would be .50 each after coupons

    • Wow. I just found this site tonight..and I am loving all the savings!! Thanks so much. :)

    • Christa

mission tortilla printable – not available anymore

    • Christa

Glade Spray – SS 4/19 is a Buy a plug-in, get a warmer for free, not for spray

Cottonelle – Kroger shot out a catalina for $ 2 off a 12 pack a couple of weeks ago (expires 5/8/09)

Birdseye Steamfresh Meals – $ 2/1 coupon in SS 4/19

    • Rhonda

While at my Kroger in Southern Indiana, I noticed some discarded catalinas in a grocery cart in the outdoor corral. Yes, I retrieved them:-) One of the slips described a catalina offer for Kraft BBQ Sauce (someone also discarded a $0.50/1 Kraft BBQ Sauce and a $1.50/1 Country Time Lemonade). Details from the Kraft BBQ Sauce: Buy 4 get $2.00; Buy 5 get $2.50; buy 6 or more get $3.00. 5/1-5/24. I have no clue about the how/why of the Lemonade catalina.

Also, Kashi pizza is on sale for $3.99. There are $3.00 Kashi pizza manufacturer coupons out there (from tear pads). Our store had tearpads tossed inside the freezer. These are good quality pizzas (on the smallish side).

    • rebecca

I recieved a coupon booklet from Food Lion in my Sunday paper and in it was a $1 off coupon for Frosted Flakes, Apples Jacks or Fruit Loops. So if you used this along with the $1 off Frosted Flakes (manufactures coupon) it would make it free.

    • Kristi

there is also a P&G coupon for .75/1 off crest premium toothpaste. Makes it .75!

    • Andrea

Wow it looks like they are brining back some of last week’s deals that is great! how long are they going to have the grillmates $1?

      • Jenny

It looked like most of the $1 items go off sale on 5/09

    • I just wanted to say thank you for doing this! I always stop here before I hit the grocery store!

    • Andrea

This site is the best one to get great matchups Thanks!

    • Honey

In my sales flier (Knoxville, TN) it said the hillshire farm lunch meat is 2/$4. There are some coupons for these “out there” and some inside the boxes of lunchmeat. If these are included in the “Sarah Lee free bun deal” you could potentially get all three products for $3.

    • Honey

I see you have the bisquick listed and you noted there is a cellfire coupon. There is also a shortcuts coupon for $1/1 40oz bisquick…for all of us non-cell phone people:)

    • Dixie

Edmondson Pike Kroger in Nashville in tripling coupons this week up to 99 cents. Weird, but will try to go!

    • Lynn

If you’re going to the pet-food aisle to grab Dentastix for your dog, check and see if Pedigree dry food is on sale. Our Nashville-area store had all the Pedigree bags (15-16 pounds) for $10.99 (regularly $13.99 or $15.99) and it matches up with the recent $1.50 RP 4/19 or a $2.00 coupon you might have if you get the Kroger home mailers. The Dentastix overage (if you haven’t used the Shortcuts e-coupon yet) will knock that down even further!

    • Christa

Buy Daisy sour cream at Publix this week (with .50 coupon that doubles, makes it free. Daily price for 8 oz .99)

    • Lynn

Thank you for another week of great deals! I so appreciate them!!

    • Dixie beat me to it. We found a triple couponing Kroger! Not sure how good it will be since the deals aren’t fabulous this week…

    • Lisa

Still looking for help with matching up the AJC Thursday paper coupons. The flyers are from Red Plum and Super Saver but the SS ones do not match up with any web site I have found. If anyone knows someplace that adds these to there match up, please let us know.

    • Anna

Mahatma rice was still on sale at my Kroger for $.99, making it free with the $.50 off coupon. Just like last week. I just love getting something for nothing.

    • Kellie

Today I found a special deal at Kroger to get a free Capri Sun 10 pack of your choice if you bought a 5-pack of Kraft Mac & Cheese. I didn’t have a coupon for the Mac & Cheese, but went ahead and got it plus some of the Capri Sun Sunrise and used the $1 coupon on the Capri Sun, making Capri Suns and Mac & Cheese $3.99 total.

    • Becca

SO SAD =( Milk was not 1.99, cereal was not 1.88, Grill mates were not 1.00, Mission tortillas not 1.99, HORRIBLE regional differences, usually my store is really close to your match ups, oh well hopefully it will be better next week!

      • Jenny

What area are you in? I know the Atlanta region has $1.99 milk last week and we just got it here.

    • Brandy

Does anybody shop at the Kroger in Columbus, MS? I live in AL, but am trying to help my grandmother get started, very small at first. I just wanted to find out if the cellfire coupons work well there, and if there is ever any trouble accepting printable coupons. And now that I’ve read Becca’s post, I’m worried that her Kroger prices might not match up. Help! Thanks

    • We had 1.99 milk last week as it was put in the Sunday paper in a the metro section. Also was advertised at the store. Columbia, SC area that is!

    • Jennifer

Here in clear lake chicken and pork were B1G1. Good time to stock up.

    • Jennifer

I should probably say Clear Lake (houston, tx) . Sorry about that!

    • Brandy

Another question…I just called the Kroger in Columbus, MS and they stated that their sales run from Wed. thru Tues. which doesn’t match the dates above. I am not sure if the dates above are incorrect or if this Kroger just does things differently. I still want to help my grandmother, but I don’t want to send her off with the wrong information. Please help if you can. THANKS!

      • Jenny

Some Kroger regions run Sun- Sat and some run Weds – Tues. you are in the Delta Region for Kroger. Which runs an ad similar to the one I post but there will be some changes. I don’t know of a blog that covers just the delta region ad though. It is a small region for Miss, and Lous.

    • liz

Does anyone know the size of the Tide detergent on sale. Here in pasadena texas a 50 oz is one sale for 4.99. thanks

    • Brandy

Jenny, thank you for getting back to me so soon. I appreciate all that you do for everyone. It has made the difference around here. Which is why I want to get my grandmother started. Hopefully, I can figure some out on my own! Thanks again!

    • Erica

At my Kroger (in North Texas) the Suave deodorant was still on sale for .99. I couldn’t find one in sight the last 2 weeks of the sale, but I finally got 2. Also, there was a large size Dawn detergent for a 1.88 with a smaller size attached to it. I used a .50 home mailer coupon and the P&G esaver coupon. Our ad (which starts tomorrow) has 1 gal. Nursery water 10 for $10. If you buy 4 and use the coupon here http://www.nurserywater.com/offers/coupons.php they are .75 each.

    • Brandy

How did you see the ad that starts for tomorrow? Everytime I go to the Kroger website and look at the ad for my store, it shows the current sales ad.

    • Eve

I’m wondering how to get the Kroger home mailer?

    • amy

I’m in Richmond, VA. Our milk wasn’t $1.99, but it was $2.50 which is still good compared to $4.59 a few months ago. I got 18 boxes of Kelloggs cereal for 88 cents a box, so I was thrilled! The list doesn’t always match perfectly, but it is a great guide. I spent $113 yesterday at Kroger, and saved $88. I got a ton of stuff :)

    • Lori

Don’t forget a lot of Kroger’s are running triple coupons until May 7th!!

    • Hey Guys,
Just went to Kroger and FYI, the Schick Quatro razor deal… $4.99 – B1G1 coupon – $4.00 coupon = money back. For some reason, even though the razors were on special for 4.99 my B1G1 knocked off $6.99. So I bought two packs at $4.99 each = $9.98, and I knocked $10.99 off of my purchase. Gotta love free razors!

    • leigh

Central AR is also considered in the Delta region and the matchups are usually very similar. Some differences sometimes, but not many. Always worth checking here before heading to the store. Thanks Jenny!

    • Alese

Here is AL Kroger popsicles are on sale 10 for $10. Also Kroger ice cream is $.99

    • Tiffany

Does anyone know where I can find coupons in Waycross, GA? I am having a hard time locating any paper with grocery coupons in them. We have a Harvey’s, Kroger, Walgreen’s & CVS, but no coupons. I could print them, but that can become costly with paper and ink. Someone please HELP me save money!!! Thanks!

    • Erica

My ad comes in the mail on Tuesdays. I didn’t sign up for it or anything, it just automatically comes.

    • Anna

I just got a Kroger ad in the mail (for their 3 day sale) and it said that Dixie sugar (4 lb. bag) is going to be $.99 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I have some $.30 off coupons from 3/29 SS. This will make the sugar just $.39. So if your planning a trip to Kroger don’t forget your sugar coupons.

    • Julie

Does anyone know if there is any rhyme or reason to when Kroger marks down their bread at the Irmo Kroger? I’ve happened upon them periodically, but I can’t seem to keep track of when they are happening! Thanks!

    • Sarah

Brandy, I actually shop at the Kroger in Columbus, Ms all the time. I’ve had a problem once with cellfire, and never had a problem with them accepting printable coupons. I do have problems matching things up sometimes, the sales aren’t always the same but normally close and the coupon match ups aren’t the same. I just go through my coupons and match up the ones I need. To answer another question, they normally post the upcoming flyer online the day before the sales start. Hope this helps!

    • I am still learning about all of this. Does Kroger double the cellfire coupons as well? Thanks for all of the tips and ideas!!!!!

      • Jenny

The do not double the e coupons or store coupons only paper manufacturer coupons.

    • Sabrina

Are we sure they double paper coupons on the Atlanta area? I feel like they don’t at my kroger…but hoping I’m wrong!

    • Shelly

Yes, all Krogers in the Atlanta area double newspaper and printable coupons up to and including $0.50.

However, if you do not use your Kroger Plus Card, the coupons do not double.

    • Sabrina

Great! Thanks for letting me know!!! :)

    • Julie

The Knoxville area is doing the 3 day sale! I wasn’t sure after reading someone from Nashville didn’t see it in her area. Some other ideas/deals:

      * I didn’t have the Kraft coupon (was away) but I found a $1 off Cattleman’s BBQ sauce on their website. Final cost: $0.69 (cheaper than the $1.00 sauces on sale).

      * For the Buy 2 Ballpark / Get FREE SL Buns, could not find BOGO for $3.99, but I found packages of Ballpark Bun Length ANGUS Beef Franks 2/$6 that had $1.00 off PEELIES.

    • Janice

      Sabrina and Shelley,

Just ask at your Kroger about the printables. The Kroger nearest to my house (Buford Highway and Clairmont Road) does not accept printables at all. (Mostly because they seem to have little training.) The next one down at Toco Hills seems to accept them most of the time.

Also, I saw a previous comment about the Thursday AJC coupons. They seem to include inserts from the previous Sunday and the upcoming Sunday…maybe whatever is leftover?? So sometimes you can get advance copies that are not included in the match-ups until the next weekend. Wait until the following Sunday.

    • Shelley Schu

      Hi all —

Just sent my DH to Kroger with a stack of coupons and loaded up on the e-coupons as well. My Krogers do accept the printables. Maybe he will catch the spirit too!

I didn’t get an addtional Kroger Magazine coupon mailer. Anybody know where I can get one in the Atlanta area.
