      • ykceb

        Thank you!

        • ykceb

Well, I went to get the ecoupon and can't find it….where did you find the ecoupon?

      • Luvcowskau428

Kroger does overage?? and they let you stack a reg. coupon with an ecoupon? I didn't think Kroger would do that. That's awesome if they do! I am still new at this coupon thing and trying to figure out what stores take competitor's coupons, which ones do overage, etc.

        • laurensmama

my Kroger will NOT take both an ecoupon and a manu. coupon. I even emailed corporate after being told by a cashier that they wouldn't do this (although all the coupon blogs say Kroger does). My response from corporate was a big fat NO! They said that ecoupons are manu. coupons and cannot be “stacked.”

Hope that helps. It may depend on the store…it sounds like others here are not having a problem doing it!

          • Tigress1321

I ave read that alot of people are having trouble with kroger taking ecoupons and manu. coupons but mine in dallas takes both for now. My whole thing is you can only use them at Kroger so really they should be considered store coupons.

            • Karen

I'm thinking it depends on the cashier. I went 2 weeks ago and the ecoupons didn't take with my paper coupons but yesterday they did. Different cashier same products. I'm just wondering if they push a button to make it not take when there's a paper coupon?

            • Shopper123

when a coupon comes off the kroger card and then at the end the cashier scans one that is the same, the register recognizes that the coupons are the same and that you have either only bought enough to get credit from one coupon or did not buy that item at all… this results in the cashier needing to override the coupon.. it's a matter of hitting 3 buttons… this will make both coupons work… so yes, i agree that it depends on the cashier.. since the cashier has no idea what ecoupons are on your card, you would think that they would override since they know they just wrang those items up… but they are also doing what they are suppose to do which is decline the coupon or get a manager.. which in that case your screwed on being able to stack.. hope this helps

            • Helene

Mine never beeps…I just did it again last weekend with the razor deal and purposely took notice. I gave her my Kroger card first and then she deducted the paper coupons after. I watched each paper coupon she scanned and I had a couple where I had ecoupons and paper coupons and none of them beeped for an override….

            • Augustashopper

I switched to a newer Kroger store last week (better variety, etc.). Even though they took e-coupons and paper mfg. coupons, they wouldn't let me use more than one paper mfg. coupons for $.50 off wyb 2. I thought I would be able to have overage, but the register wouldn't take it. It happened on many different products. This week, I'm returning to my old Kroger where they have taken multiple paper mfg. coupons on similar scenarios.

            • guest

The register only beeps if you didnt get the product, didnt buy enough of the product, or have too many manufacturer coupons for the product. It does not beep for ecoupons cashiers have no control over them. So if you here that beep you should be thankful that they take them because cashiers can get fired really easy for coupons:)

          • Hasfam

yep, we can't stack those here either. Its one or the other, and if you swipe your card 1st, that ecoupon takes precedence. So if your ecoupon is $.60 cents but your paper mfr is $3.00, then you lose out on the $3.00
And, if you swipe your card last it won't give you the sale prices. You can't win with Krogers in the Music City.

            • Sparrow07

I shop in Music City and I have always been able to use the ecoupon and paper. I did the razor deal last Sunday- used the 5 dollar coupon and the ecoupon was 4. It allowed overage on my other items!! Last night I also bought Craisinettes 2 dollar coupon and 1 dollar ecoupon, gave me overage of 49 cents :)

            • Helene

I live in TN and so far I have not had any problems with Kroger taking an ecoupon and a paper coupon. With that said though, ever since you can see your cellfire coupons on the Kroger ecoupon site, (shown as a special addition or something like that) it will not take off for both the Kroger ecoupon and the cellfire. For example it used to be that if I had .50 off of a product through cellfire, and .50 off that same product through the short cuts I would get both off at checkout. Now it is only one or the other, and the cellfire almost never works.

So I guess what I am getting at is if they are able to catch this, then it won't be long before we won't be able to use both the ecoupon and a paper coupon :(

            • Jayna

That must be why my Cheerios coupon didn't come off last time. I had two ecoupons (one from Cellfire and one from Kroger) and only one came off!

This will only hurt the ecoupon business if you ask me, though. Why would I bother to keep going to the Kroger site, or to Cellfire if my coupons aren't going to work when I'm counting on them?

          • Extrafor6

I have never had problem using an e-coupon and a mfc. I never beep either. Having said that, it does state on the Kroger website that you can NOT use both an e-coupon and a mfc. In trying to be honest, I've stopped loading e-coupons that I have a mfc for onto my card.

            • Rachel

thank you for posting this! I too have stopped trying to stack ecoupons with paper qs since I read this on their web site.

          • guest

If you read the ecopoun it says it cannot be combined with a manufacture coupon most Krogers take them though so just try another:)

        • Jennifer C

my kroger takes both as well.

        • itismedia

Mine does. I am in Savannah, GA. I even had the store manager helping bag my groceries and she and the cashier were talking about how many great deals I had found. I place my keys first, then my groceries on the belt. This way my card is scanned first. I wait for her to hit total at the end and for all of the e-coupons to come off, mega savings, etc…then I hand over my coupons. I can watch them come off this way so that if one doesn't scan or double I can catch it as it happens. I have never had a problem with them all coming off.

          • guest

It doesn't matter when you scan the Kroger card fyi I know alot of employees get mad when the customers try to throw them in their face. Once the cashier hits total everything comes off if its on sale. Another fyi anything that says PC beside it on the screen means that it will come off with the kroger card. Also ecoupons come off at the end anyways:)

        • Jayna

The Kroger website specifically states that the KROGER ecoupons cannot be stacked. However, I haven't had a problem with stacking the ecoupons from cellfire and shortcuts.

    • Michelle

glad i went today before the mega event ended. i would've been screwed if i'd waited to see if i should go with the future ad.

    • RaRa

so confused…it says the Palmolive is $1 & that there is a $1 coupon when you click on that link but all I saw was a $0.25 coupon. Can someone explain?

      • Jilljova77

All I see is the .25 off also. Might just be a mistake. It happens.

ecoupon question…do my cellfire and shortcuts coupons show up on my kroger ecoupon list?

      • Rgbarron01

Yes. It can be very confusing!

        • Jayna

          Really? I didn't know that!!

      • ambloodworth

yes… everthing that i loaded onto my card from other sites shows up when i log onto the kroger website… pretty cool

      • itismedia

I only see my P&G and Kroger coupons together. Weird.

    • Katkoupon

Does Kroger take any competitor coupons?

      • laurensmama

        mine doesn't. Publix does! :)

      • guest

        No, only publix

    • Leigh

I can't sign into Kroger for the e-coupons. It keeps giving me an error message. Is anyone else having this problem?

      • Renee

Yes! It couldn't find me by either my Kroger Plus number OR my alternate ID, both entered with last name and zip code. Since it's Sunday, I couldn't call them, either, so I sent an email. I'll let you know what I find out!

      • Bumplett

I've been having this problem for weeks.

      • machelle

i had the same problem at first..have u called the customer service line? my problem was that they had my last name misspelled in their system, so when i was typing it in to login, it didn't match what they had for my card…they fixed it, and i have not had a problem since.

    • Leigh

Also, the Palmolive coupon says on 20oz or larger. The sale is for 10oz.

      • There was only one listed in the coupon preview for this week.

    • nancy11442

OK…I'm getting frustrated with couponing. I shop Kroger, obviously, and I don't see these big deals everyone talks about. I'm getting coupon face value $.75, $.50, $.30 etc. My Kroger rarely if ever doubles coupons. My dtr in law tells me how she gets $200 in groceries and pays $50 or less for it. She doesn't shop Kroger but Publix. I am saving maybe $60 on over $200 buying with coupons and 10/10 etc. What am I doing wrong?

      • Me2Save

Sounds like you need to look for a new Kroger. In the GA area, Kroger doubles manufacturer coupons up to $.50 ($1.00).

      • Mountains2009

        Dear Nancy,

I don't think your doing anything wrong. Coupon policies are unique to each store. Publixs has one of the best coupon policies available they offer one Publixs coupon and one MC on each item they offer that they will take all competitiors coupons this one is massive they also allow overage so if your purchasing Sundown Vitamins and have like .80 or more overage on each bottle see how fast that will add up. Publixs also offers the perscription transfer and new gift cards. Publixs also states that if for any reason you buy an item in the store and you are unhappy with it for any reason simply return any unused portion(in some cases this is just the wrapper or box etc.) for a complete refund. If they make the mistake of over charging you on an item then that item is free so they give you back twice what the item cost. Publixs also sends out mailers and a calendar every year that has great coupons in it and they have coupons in the Entertainment booklet. Kroger's simply can not compete with all of this.
So frankly I think Kroger does not even try. This is where the massive difference is in your totals from yours to dtr in laws. Also Publixs does a ton of B1G1 free and they let you use up to four coupons two Publixs and two manufacturer coupons.

      • Jayna

Hang in there. And I agree with the person who said that maybe you need to find a new Kroger. =)

I shop at Kroger on Mondays and Publix on Wednesday and get the best deals at each. Usually, this is enough to get our family through the week. Anything that I don't have a coupon for, I buy at Kroger because it's much cheaper than Publix.
        A few things to remember:

        1. Don't buy things you don't need/like just because you have a coupon for it. That will cause your total to rise.
        2. Just because there's a coupon, doesn't mean you're getting a good deal. Compare the prices. If the store brand is still cheaper to buy than the name brand+coupon…stick with the store brand…or wait for a better sale/coupon combination.
        2. When you find a deal on something that will keep, buy as many as you can. (Ex. When cereal goes on sale, I buy six or so…even if I don't have an immediate need…because I'd rather have some in my pantry I paid 25 cents to $1 a box for than need some and end up spending $3/box.)
        3. Be patient while you build up your stock items. For the first month of two of couponing, I still spent the same dollar amount at the store, but I was getting a lot more groceries for that same amount. Now I spend about half what I used to spend on groceries, but have way more groceries (and name brand items too).
        4. I don't know your preference, but we plan our meals around what's on sale. We don't plan our meals and then buy groceries. So if you're willing to do that, then you're more likely to save on your total grocery bill.

hey nancy…keep trying, it really works…i went to krogers on friday and bought:
20 sobe life waters, normally 1.59 each
3 boxes of nature valley granola bars, 5 boxes of general mills cereal bars, two bags of gardetto snack mix, one big box of trix cereal, one bag of cheetos, 2 packs of duncen hines brownie toppers…they paid me, PAID ME, .78cents to buy all of this… I actually had to add a gallon of milk, because they won't give you cash back…so for all of the above, i paid with tax, 2.48 cents…it works…hang in there!

Nancy, Where are you located? Kroger does double coupons up to .50 cents. If they do not double, talk to the manager and ask why. I do not hand over my coupons until the very end so that I can watch them come off. That way as soon as something doesn't automatically double I can say, “Whoa! Stop! Why did that not double”. I do shop at Publix and Kroger. I buy more dry goods at Publix and more meat at Kroger. I am lucky that the two stores are only about half a mile apart.

Kroger does not take competitor coupons, but does have coupons you can load onto your shoppers card. They also mail out a lot of coupons based on your spending and buying habits.

Publix has Buy One Get One deals each week. They alsp accept competitor coupons. You will have to check with your Publix to see who they consider a competitor. You can stack these coupons with Publix coupons and manufacture coupons. Ad those to a BOGO sale and this is how your daughter-in-law is saving so much.

I spent 19 at Publix last week and saved 86. I spent 31 at Kroger and saved 101. There are deals to be had at both. Be patient and start slow. Aim to save 50% and buy to stock up! Make dinner from what you have rather than the old way (making a menu and shopping for those items. This helps you catch deals while they are at their cheapest and you can shop from your freezer and pantry for your meals.

This takes getting use to, but it makes sense. For example, this past week I bought 12 boxes of cereal from publix. It was 3.79 a box. If I bought the cereal as needed I would spend 45.48 plus tax. Instead, with coupons and the BOGO sale I spent 4.74 or .40 a box. The kids and my husband can gorge away at that price!

Hope this helps some and that some of the others advice does too. It takes time, but be patient. It is so much fun and rewarding once you get the hang of it and the kinks worked out (like why your Kroger is not doubling up to .50)

        • Jaynachristopher

Totally agree about the stocking up bit. The cereal is a real kicker for our family. My family can DOWN some cereal! Stock up when it's cheap. Eat it when you want it…donate the rest to a food bank.

The Shamrock Farms Rockin Refuel dks (I FINALLY found in milk case, after I had quit looking, lol) are on sale $1, use 50c/1 MQ (I think from SS 8/15) = free! Also from same insert (I think) was the FREE Purina cat or dog food 6 oz, I found hanging on clip-strips on pet aisle. Small bag, normally $1, but still free! Band-aids for kids 25 ct on sale $1.79 (cheapest I've found since the $3/3 coupon came out a few weeks ago, can use these towards the rebates (Toy Story Book, free First Aid kit, or the $6 in coupons from J&J)…not bad $2.37 + tax, and I seem to be going thru a lot of bandages these days with my toddler and all the boo-boos! Thanks again Jenny!

      • Leigh

Thanks for the Rockin Refuel location. I have looked for it on several trips and when I got the hubby to go for me today, he got it (FREE). Thanks!!!!

    • Rachel

Softsoap is 30c with doubled 35c q from the q booklet found in the Kroger pharmacy

Kroger brand hand sanitizers 8 oz pumps are only $1.

The right guard deo in the deo aisle was not marked $1 but I found some in a $1 bin in the pharmacy section.

Comforts formula- “immune support” 23.2 oz can $10 minus $1q from the q book found in the Kroger pharmacy. $9 is a great price for a large can!!

If the schick razor is out in your store consider asking for a rain check-I got one with no problems at cust. service and it is good for 30 days! yey 12c razors!!

Does anyone know if Kroger has changed their coupon policy? My Kroger's will no longer let me stack coupons at all! Not able to get most of deal scenarios here! :( Anyone know anything and where I can find the official Kroger policy?

      THANK YOU!!!

      • itismedia

Beth, I would e-mail corporate.Ask them for a current copy of the policy and about that question specifially. I am in Savannah, Ga and I stacked coupons last week. A store manager was helping bag my groceries and was talking with the cashier about how many great deals I had found.

        • Nikki

don't hold your breath on getting a reply Beth. I wrote corporate over 2 weeks ago regarding a coupon incident I encountered and never heard back.

Ok so I work at Kroger so I should be able to help. All the Krogers as I know have stopped taking competior coupons and free or b1g1 free coupons from the internet because most of them are fraudulant. If you have a coupon for 50 off a product and you only have one product you can not use more than one coupon for that same product. All coupons double 50c and under. However if you have more than one coupon of the same product and you have bought more than one of that product you can use all of those coupons. If you have a kroger store coupon and a manufacturer coupon you can use both of them at the same time. Please pay attention though, store coupons will say store coupon at the top. If you follow those rules you should be fine!!!

    • Elizabeth

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but if someone did I apologize for the repeat.

When I was at Kroger earlier today I noticed the Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade (Frozen novelty/Ice Cream Section) were on sale for $1 (10 for $10). Anyway, I had coupons that expired 9/30/10 for .75 off any Minute Maid Frozen Novelty. I'm not sure what insert it was in as I cut all coupons immediately and file them. But .25 for frozen lemonade isn't too bad! I've never bought it from the store before, but I love to get it at the fair!

Maybe some of you will be lucky enough to have .50 off coupons that'll double and make it free for you.

      • Damahurin

I got 11 boxes last week for .75!!! People at work bring me their coupons even though I tell them about the free stuff. There was a .50 coupon for those in the paper a few weeks ago, I had 8 of those and 3 for .75 off. My kids are soooo happy.

        • CouponNERD

7-25 RP has this coupon. Found it!

    • My2Kids

My Kroger sale paper has seedless white grapes advertised for 99cents a pound.

    • Creativespiritcreations

my kroger cashiers only pay attention to the coupons that are handed to them, not what the computer takes off automatically. they also take all of my internet coupons here in central georgia

    • Kari3

Palmolive doesn't really work – coupon says it must be 20 oz or larger – the one on sale is only 10 oz. ALSO – my Kroger gave me a hard time today for the Yoplait greek yogurt coupons because they say do not double or triple but at Kroger, they do double them. They said they won't take those coupons anymore :(

      • Kari3

On a more positive note: I won my SECOND PRIZE in the Kroger Summer of Savings promotion –> a free Bounty papertowel trial size! Last time I won a free original Pringles. I LOVE free stuff :)

    • Khammon31

My Kroger told me yesterday they NO LONGER take competitors coupons :(

      • itismedia

Mine never has and I shop at two different ones. If you have a Publix near you, they do. Just check with CS to see who your store considers a competitor.

    • Amfloyd1983

If you go to http://www.armandhammer.com and then go to the savings center, you can print a $1 off Arm and Hammer power gel detergent that is also $2.99 at my Kroger. $1.99 detergent that is normally $7.99. You can’t beat that with a stick!!

    • Mendy

So I think I've decided to stop shopping at Kroger. Two weeks ago our store had a Buy 3 Get 1 Free sale on A&W/7Up products (they were on sale for $1.00). I bought 4, and an ecoupon for $0.60/2 A&W came off. The computer then only took off $0.40 for the free item instead of a full $1.00. I took my receipt back to Kroger today (I don't live near one so I had to make a special trip back) to get the rest of my money and was told by the customer service lady I couldn't get my money back because I couldn't use a coupon on a free product! I tried to explain nicely that I was using a coupon on the non-free items, but she disagreed. I asked to speak to a manager and was denied. So I called customer service. They told me that the manager has the right to accept or deny any coupon and that there was no official policy I could look at to determine what coupons I could or could not use. This happens almost every week I go to Kroger! Since it's the only one in the area, I can't just go somewhere else. Sometimes I swear using coupons isn't worth it (and then I go shopping without them and remember why I do!).

      • itismedia

I my patience is running thin with them too! Each month there seems to be more and more bad trips compared to good. It is really hard to take it when Publix is so nice!

      • Sandy

You made a special trip back to Kroger for 60 cents? I understand it's frustrating when you take the time to coupon and it doesn't work out in your favor, but you probably spent that in gas alone. You win some and you lose some.

      • Lanie

I disagree with your last sentence – that shopping with coupons isn't worth it. It certainly is – like you said – go shopping without them and you will miss them greatly. However, I think what is not worth the trouble – is making a special trip back to the store – wasting time and energy over just 60 cents. I am sure your time is more valuable than that. Also, a lot of stores don't even know how e-coupons work. I think it is a waste of time going to customer service with those issues. Take your complaints to whoever issued the Eq– whether it is shortcuts, cellfire or Krogers EQs.. take the complaints to the appropriate department.

There are some Chef Boyardee Q's $1/6 and Manwich q's $1/3 in the All You mag, dated August 27th.

    • germangirl

I just had a terrible experience at Kroger! I hate shopping there. Every time I go there I promise never to go back but I do anyway and than I wonder why I did.
This week they have the reach floss and the Right Guard deodorant on for $1. I had coupons for $1 off but they wouldn't except them. The manager told me it would be fraud to except them because they can't just give stuff away since it would be free. That is the first time I ever heard that. It is so frustration!!! I always have some kind of problem with them.

      • Jayna

His explanation doesn't even make any sense. It states right on the coupon that they get the face value of the coupon plus 8 cents for every coupon that they take. They get all their money back. Coupons are a form of payment.

        • AshleyQ

I agree, I think it is funny that they will take my CC as payment and THEY have to pay the CC company to be able to but they don't want to take Q's as a payment where they MAKE money on it… I think in general the people of all levels at Kroger should take an Economics class!!! Just because we are getting the items for no charge doesn't mean they are giving it away for no charge!!! I am hating Kroger more and more and to a point where I only go in for the Flat Iron steak sales, lol!!!

      • Me2Save

I think that manager has a problem with couponers! Krogers are a dime a dozen. If possible go to a different one.

    • Faye1023p

My Kroger has the Knorr Pasta Sides on sale for $1.00, with a catalina deal to buy 4 and get $1.50 back.

    • Andrea

I used a bunch of my eCoupons during the last month, but they have not come off my card. They did come out at check out. Does anyone know if I can use them again? If not, how do I remove them? They are taking up space!

    • Leighanne619

      Does Kroger double ecoupons?

    • juliemars88

Where can I find the new Kroger ad for metro Atlanta beginning the week of Sunday 8/29/2010? I am deciding where to shop this weekend. Thanks!

      • Crystalomly

it's located on the kroger website every satuday, just enter your zip code and choose the week from the drop down menu located on the right.
