We have a new tiny Mega Event this week at Kroger. Not too exciting, but I guess it’s something. I went ahead and added produce and meat deals for all three south east regions again this week, hope it helps!

If you see any other deals leave a comment below and I’ll update the list.

I’ve never met a Mega Event that didn’t have unadvertised participating items, so check back Sunday night for the full list of deals.

    • Man I was hoping for some acorns this week…hopefully there will be some good unadvertised deals! Thanks for posting Jenny! :-)

    • Hkerrisk

lipton had free ice tea coupons on their facebook page friday. I do not know if they are still available. Depending on how many you were able to print you can get a great deal on lipton iced tea. The deal is buy 10 get 5 free.

      • Lrayno

I tried to use my free Ice Tea coupons today at Krogers in Savannah, GA, they do not accept FREE internet coupons.  I told them I would take them to Publix.

        • Sunshine

I was certain i would also have that issue and went to customer service first and asked.  They let me use both of them.

Also baby back ribs will be on sale in Atlanta area starting Sunday for $3.49.

          • I bet that handy dandy $2.00 off ribs coupon Jenny posted about earlier will be welcome for that deal!

        • Davism71399

I was at Kroger, today and they told me that they would only accept one printed coupon from the internet.

          • Mel_Jolley

My Kroger in Springfield, TN said only 3 printable coupons per transaction. Strange?!?!?

        • Mozella

I'm in Tupelo,MS and I used mine @ CVS today but most stores no longer accept FREE internet coupons

          • Moneysavingmum

Does our local Kroger ever double coupons? I've been to both stores in Tupelo, the one in West Point, and Columbus, and I've never had my coupons doubled. Have you?

        • Chele28

The Savannah Krogers are just plain unfriendly to couponers. I have all but stopped shopping there. It seems like everytime I go there they screw something up (either with my coupons or my deli order!!) So frustrating.. Thank goodness Publix is nearby

      • Janell

We have that deal here in AZ (Fry’s) and if you also have the IP coupons from a while ago for BYGO Lipton Tea, you can combine that with the Free Lipton Teas and get a great deal. Sent my husband last night for this and we got all 15 drinks for $4 and change!

    • Dtcox1

looks so so this week might get a few items thanks jenny

    • Mommy2Boys

Does anyone have the zip code for the Huggies $1.50 Q?

        • Mommy2Boys

Thank you.  Just sent you an email!  Do you need anything?

    • Shel

I gave up on Kroger.  The local stores are making their own coupon policies and they are being just downright nasty. Thanks extreme couponing…wrecking it for the rest of us.

      • Ashhp0613

Kroger has a new coupon policy came out about a month ago. It states that Kroger has no intention making a bad situation because of a coupon. You may want to call corporate. Not the 1-800 number actual corporate in you division.

      • vs1999

I agree, that show is spoiling it for everyone.

        • guest

I thought the same thing as well however the show never once tells you where to shop or what stores they are shopping at. It only shows how they gather their coupons and then off to the store. It is less information than all the million blogs about couponing or the million youtube videos about how to coupon and what stores accept what. Just saying!

    • DK

The Cars 2 Mega event is a little better if you choose some of the Kellogg’s items like crackers, cereal, and nutri grain bars with the specially marked boxes about $5 concession cash.  Most of the prizes are kid stuff, but if you enter 4 codes you can choose a $5 gas card (I think it is really like a prepaid visa that can be used anywhere for anything).  You can check it out at

    • Notch

You can get a $1/1 coupon here http://www.cascadianfarm.com/coupons/default.aspx for the  “Cascadian Farm Potatoes or Vegetables, 7-16 oz, $2.50” making them $1.50 ea!

    • Dawnhon

Where can I get the 125 years of summer fun booklet? Also the kroger homemailer?

      • Raecharles

My husband found it in our local Food Lion about a month ago.

      • Teecee

The Kroger homemailers are tied to your card. You have to spend so much a month there and then you will automatically get them.

    • AM

Anyone know how much the Turkey Hill Tea is?
      Thanks! :)

      • Dtcox1

        in v a kroger its 3 for 5.00

      • Katkoupon

I've been buying giftcards for fuel points, groceries…not so much.

    • Bonny

Is there anywhere on this site that defines which states are in which region for the Kroger deals? i know Jenny said it once in a previous week's ad, I just need a refresher on it, and I don't know where to look…. thanks!

      • Lisabluedevil

        The Kroger website tells you.

    • Jenn

Closeout on Tyson Any'tizers. The 11oz boxes of their hot and spicy wings are marked down to $2.84 and there is a $1/1 Q good on any size making it $1.84 for about a dozen wings.

Saw this in both Marietta, GA and Canton, GA!

    • Rebecca petersen

PLEASE HELP!  How on earth do I find/print the pistachios coupon on their website???!!!  THANKS!

      • I couldn't find it either.  Maybe the deal expired?

        • laBreeze

I've been scrolling down here reading everyone's comments, looking for THIS subject!  :-D  So I'm not alone; no $2 pistachio Q.

    • AD

The past threee months i have tried to get papers and someone misteriously sole all the insert out of them! Ugh I hate that! I paid for the darn things and get no inserts and i have been looking forwatd to a good sale for diapers and wipes! this sucks!

      • ozzishep

I've run into the same problem.  I was told that the people who have home delivery are guaranteed inserts but the papers sold elsewhere only have inserts if there were “leftovers” after the home deliveries.  I tried to order the Sunday paper but there is no delivery in my area…ugghh!  I ordered whole inserts from koupon-kash(dot)com last week and was very pleased.  They are from Atlanta and had many more coupons than my area (Little Rock).  You might want to give that a try.  Good Luck!!

        • Gamecocksweetie07

Are they reasonably priced I have been looking for somewhere to get more coupons. Thanks.

        • Chelsea

This is not true. My mom delivers papers and I have helped her many times. All of the inserts are put in by hand. The actual newspaper comes in a bundle and the inserts come in a separate bundle. Sometimes the sorting machine does not include all of the inserts which in return sucks for us sometimes but I can assure you that papers from the gas stations are the same as a home delivered paper. :)

        • Hward_

I just placed an order with koupon-kash after seeing your post.  I also live in an area where papers are not delivered and have had no luck with buying papers at a store.  The paper in the Lexington, Ky area will mail you a paper on Monday but they don't include the coupons!

      • JL

I ALWAYS check the papers for the inserts befor I buy them.

      • Teecee

Can you get the papers somewhere where they are better watched? We stopped getting them at the grocery store because the coupons were always missing. We started getting them at a small gas station where they are right by the register and someone would have to be brazen to steal them. I always check that they're in there too.

        • Bridget_randall

I actually Baught them at Krogers! I liveout in the midle of nowhere and there are only a few places that have papers. So i dorve back to the larger city and went to krogers, for milk, and went ahead and got papers there thinking it was a good idea! Obviously not! I called them about it and the lady told me to stop trying to get free inserts! If that were the care why would i buy4  3.00 papers, as well as 3  .75? I dont need a ton of things just so to help deflate the costs of my husband being sole provider and my being a stay at home mom of three!

      • vs1999

I know the feeling. The store where I buy my extra papers is getting unbearable on Sunday mornings.  There are ladies crawling on the floor, stealing inserts from the  papers.  I saw one lady go through each paper and put all the inserts inside her 1 paper.  Paid for 1 paper and left the store.  I still blame the show for all of this madness.  I thought couponing was fun, but it is getting to be a hassle anymore.

      • Kristen

I buy mine at Walgreens. It's cheaper too! Our Sunday paper is $2 but at Walgreens they're a $1.50. They're right up front so there is no insert snatching… Or at least I've been lucky so far :)

      • Janell

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago and I called the newspaper circulation dept and they allowed me to come in and pick up the coupon inserts. You might try calling the paper.

    • Laura

On the 4 day sale list
Mars or Nestle Candy Bars, 88¢
Those are 8 packs of tiny candy bars. There are no coupons for those.
Reg size single bars at the checkout are only .79, those are the ones you can use the coupons for.

    • mommyof1

Never shopped at a kroger until 6 months ago when we moved from our home state.. absolutely loved the deals! but last week we only saved 22% at kroger..  what happened? is the summer just a bad time for coupon deals from them?  we also live in a small town and have to drive to another city for any grocery store, including kroger.. thank goodness for their gas deal though

lately, we have been driving  further to publix to grab their bogo deals to suppliment.. but its farther which means more gas = more gas money- which also means only going when we are getting excellent savings.. (like 60-70%)

hoping this is just a heat wave of bad deals that will end soon..  hope others are having better luck!!

      • Teecee

I've heard that Kroger has fewer sales on the first full week of the month because that is when people who get paid once a month (like Social Security checks) will do their shopping. I don't know if that's entirely the case, but I had a bad week this week too and the store was far more crowded than usual.

        • Bee

Am I mistaken in thinking that sounds like they want the people who live on the least to pay the most? No one in my family receives these type payments but I do know stores are FULL in the first week of the month because it's nearly all government payments.

Oh well, I guess that is why they are rich and I am not.

          • Sara M

You guys are being a bit rude. In case you haven't realized as well as people who live off of SSI and the like, federal employees, such as the Military are paid on the 1st.  Thank you.  My husband works very hard for his pay check from the Navy.  Since I live in a military community I know not to shop around pay day.

    • ireneY

Off topic, but not sure where to post — Whole Foods will have pints of organic blueberries for $2 this Friday. It's a one day sale!

    • Just an update: I dont know if this is for all Krogers or if it is region specific but my Kroger (VA) no longer accepts B1G1 free coupons… The more they change their policy the harder it is to shop there. :(

    • none of the $1 off Snuggle links are working. They are all expired :(

    • bob

Remember TODAY (6/12) is the LAST DAY for the $4 catalina deal on buying 2 packs of 6 roll VIVA paper towels! Real good deal with this weeks Kroger Mega sale.

    • Ang

I dont have a Kroger but will be visiting my family in Ky and shopping there this week.  Am I correct to read Juicy Juice, buy 5 and get $5 off instanty?     That would be 4.45 for 5 before using coupons right??

      • Sandy

The price listed ($1.89) is AFTER the savings. They are actually $2.89 so after $5 mega discount it would be it would be $9.45 for 5.

    • Rachel H.

I can't get the link for the Fiber Plus bars coupons to open nor the Keebler Clubhouse crackers.  Anyone have a different link?

      • Cheryl

You have to register first at the site (www.snackpicks.com) and then you will see a link at the top to print coupons.

    • Daisygirl3687

Saving star has a coupon for $1 off All detergent.  Use that and $1 off coupon makes it .99.

    • Chele28

I tried to print the Viva coupon and it said that I had already printed it :(
I definitely have not printed it yet!!

      • That's a generic message indicating that the manufacturer's predetermined number of prints have been exhausted.

    • mstamitoyou

Just left my Krogers in Atlanta Area and was told I can ONLY buy 5 Newspapers!! I have a Big Family!! I've been getting 10 papers for the longest. The Manager stated they reserve the right to limit quantities and said its on the front of the circular. He stated that by 10am they are all out & its not fair to the person who wants a paper at Noon. I understood the theory but i also said I did not clear out any newspapers there were plenty left & i do 80% of my shopping there, go several times a week& has been a valued customer for years. An employee told me to go to Publix. Im starting to feel like the enemy like Im hoarding and Im not. Does anyone know if I could get an AJC subscription for 10 Sunday papers only. Im thinking I may need to head to Atlanta and find a street vendor off 285 for $1 papers!!!

      • Kristin

I bought 2 doubles at Publix (Atlanta) today w/o a problem.  The three paper rule doesn’t make sense.  Why wouldn’t they just print more. Anyway, if you can buy 3 doubles, that’s six papers. Go to one more store for the others you need.  I’m only 1 person with 1 teen daughter at home.  One 23 y/o daughter who is semi-launched and one dog.  I still buy 4 papers every week.  I can understand how a family needs 10.  If you’re just looking for inserts, check out http://www.ajcinserts.com.

      • PSCmom

We were told by the AJC that the vendors are only allowed to sell 3 per person, so you may run into a problem there. It seems since we purchase so many we will will have to run to multiple stores. There is a way around that rule if you need them to survive like I do.

        • Zombiemommy

Are these vendors on 285 exits legal?

      • Audieruth

I live in Jackson, TN, and my husband and I stop at our local Dollar Tree and buy papers for 1.00 every Sunday.  No limits, but you have to get there early.  I don't know if they do that in Atlanta, but its worth a look, and it saves money too!

      • Erin

I appreciate your frustration, but understand the stores policy. I went to Publix at 8:25 am to buy 2 papers, COMPLETLEY gone also at Kroger. It's very aggravating that there are people buying 30 plus and then selling the coupons out of them to make a profit. I hope our local stores limit the purchases, I can't drive an hour N in the hopes some are left…..all my savings would be eaten in gas.

      • sisi

My Publix sells the Sunday paper all week for 99 cents.  I have had times where I would have to go in on Monday when they restock, luckily I am close by.

      • NewCouponGal

Race Trac has them for a dollar all of June.

      • Val C

I am in Mableton and I buy from a street vendor off of 285S in front of Greenbriar Mall. They are there Sat and Sun.  Also there is a vendor off of 85N at Steve Reynolds if your in that area.

      • Ming41285

If that person waits until noon its their own fault. Who cares who buys them as long as they get their money! Stores are taking this coupon business too personal! They get their money back….who cares!

      • Lacey

I definitely appreciate your store's policy on this, although I understand your frustration since you have done this in the past. I often go on sunday evening or even monday to get my paper since I work long 12+ hour shifts on the weekend, and it is difficult to get to a store early just to buy a paper! Depending on how many papers the store has on hand to sell, they could sell out very early if only a few people bought 10 papers each!

      • Laura

I don't see why the store doesn't order more papers to meet their demand. Am I missing something?
I believe you can find a vendor on every exit of 285 until noon on Sundays. I sure see enough of them all around town…but I'm always in the wrong lane or can never seem to get their attention.

      • Zombiemommy

I have 2 home subscriptions. It works out to $1.53? or something for each paper which is the same as a double pack.

      • Lea

Check your local QuickTrip EARLY Sunday morning, instead of paying $2 per Sunday paper, a lot of times they will have papers with double coupons for $3.

    • Fallentear81

In my sunday paper there is a small two page Kroger circular called Look What's New with coupons on the back. Does anyone know if these  Kroger coupons can be stacked with manufacturer ones the way Publix can?

      • guest

those are manufacturer's coupons in the Kroger circular.

      • Sandy

No stacking at Kroger. Those qs are manufacturer and can be used anywhere

      • Kristin

Looks like that circular has 4 store coupons. They say store coupons, and the UPC starts with 1, not 5 or 9.  I can't remember if Kroger stacks or not though.

    • mom123

anyone else having a problem with the savingstar coupons? I have purchased two items now that are not showing on the link to savingstar….still says  0 dollars and it has been over a week. Both items were purchased at kroger

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

It can take up to 30 days.

      • Couponqueen

Mine has  been over 30 days for Kroger….still waiting.

    • mstamitoyou

FYI- at Krogers for the Kelloggs cereal they all are not 1.99 for 5 items purchased. They are ranging from 1.99-2.49 per box for the deal.

    • Sgrant0805

I never use haircare or dog or cat. food coupons and I am willing to trade for and dove or cetephil coupons.

    • Jen

does B1G1 make it 1/2 price at Kroger or do you have to get the two items?

      • susansaver

I believe they ring up 1/2 priced.

      • Allfromhim

        you get it half price!

    • jennaj81

grapes $0.99/lb!!! I haven't seen prices like that in a long time. My kids will be thrilled since I refuse to pay the usual $1.80-$2/lb. Six kids can really devour some grapes!

    • susansaver

There's an ecoupon from awhile back that works for the mega event: Save $3.00 on any 3 Nutri-Grain, Fiber Plus or Special K Bars.  Makes them $0.99 each if you saved the coupon.

    • Khjbcoupns

thank you krogers for not advertising cigarettes again this week .. this makes two week in a row.. yippie….

      • non-abuser

why are you so adamant about this cigs r bad but so is coke, chips, twinkies, ice cream etc get over it they all have the right to advertise

      • Kerry

But advertising beer & wine is okay? I'd much rather be on the road w/someone who smokes & drives than one who drinks & drives. So tired of pilitcal correctness…aaargh

    • Amay0810

How do i print off the manufacturers coupons when you don't have a printable button next to the coupon???

      • Gen

They are in the newspapers, see the date and location of insert listed next to the coupon description.

    • Couponkimtaylor

This is a little off topic but I wanted run this buy you.  If I had the cashier scan my BOGO coupons prior to scaning my plus card wouldn't I get a better deal?

Ex. Card then BOGO……Good Cereal 10/$10 on sale normally priced $3 So if I scaned the card first I would only be getting a $1 taken off with the BOGO

BOGO then Card…..Same sceniro but instead of the BOGO taking only $1 off it would take off $3

Would this work or is there something in place to stop this?

      • Guest

It might work, but seems pretty dishonest.  If you use a BOGO coupon, you should only have the current sales price deducted for the free one.

        • Couponkimtaylor

I didn't think it was dishonest just another way to play the game.  The store is still going to get the amount that they write on the coupon.  I just didn't know if it would work. I was thinking this was similar to using the card and coupons and ECB at CVS.  There is an order there to get the most bang for your buck.  The biggest reason I asked this was I used BOGO and a $2 off coupon the other day.  They scaned the $2 off first so I didn't get the full amount of the item off.  I thought if they could do that I could try this.

      • lizzybeth

If the BOGO sale requires the loyalty card/sales card-what ever you choose to call it, then you wouldn't get the deal until the card was scanned.

    • Erin

Any idea how much the Blue Bell costs? I've never purchased it from there, and was wondering.

      • laBreeze

        Usually 5.99/ea at my Kroger.

      • Dtcox1

in v a kroger does not carry this but wal mart does and food city does not

    • Stephanie

As part of the Cars event (Buy 5 participating items, save $5), they have the Huggies 72 count wipes as part of that which makes them $0.99 each and if you use 5 ($0.50) coupons, it will make them free!!

      • mommy of 5

oh my goodness  i might be going there just for that its on my way to work and i have the coupons (with me always) !!!  THANKS

      • Sunshine

they were 2.26 at my kroger but part of the mega-event which made them 26 cents after 50 cent coupon. Still not bad.

      • Alisha

I found these too today.  They are the soft packs, not the ones in the plastic tubs.

    • Sisi

I am hoping for a great  mega event soon!

    • Sunshine72

Excedrin PM 20 ct. closeout price $1.99

      • Sunshine

there was a 75 cents off coupon in the paper

        • Laura

For the past month my Kroger cashiers have handed me back every coupon I've tried to use on a closeout saying it's no longer allowed. I don't understand why since they get reimbursed from the manufacturer, but they simply won't take them any more at my stores.

          • Zombiemommy

I have had that happen to before because the bar code on the markdown doesn't match the main barcode in the system. Kroger store coupon rules are by manager's store discretion.

    • ECL

I have two boys who LOVE Cars and can't wait to see the new movie.  We went in Kroger today to buy milk.  There was a cardboard display of all the new CARS 2 character single cars in the middle of the seasonal aisle.  The are marked $3.99 on sale for $2.79 in central VA.  But the great thing was that they are included in the mega sale pricing so the register took off $1.00 for each one.  We bought ten, one of each of the new characters for only $1.79 each and my boys were thrilled.

    • Rashida Banks

With the .50/1 Huggies wipes coupon that came out in the 6/12 SS and the MEGA sale, Huggies wipes are only .39 each.

      • Mamakej

I am new to couponing, please explain to me how they will be .39 . My store does not double. Thanks

        • Lea

If your store does not double then the wipes will be $.89…you will only get the face value of the coupon off.

    • Dtcox1

well the food city mega looks better this week a lot of food  well i guess ill split it up this week half at kroger half at food city will try to stay on my budget 50.00 happy shopping

    • Gillianstar

I got a good one. Chiquita Apple Bites (Single). 2/$1. Plus $1 cpn (Exp. 6/18) = FREE

    • Wouldn't the catalina for viva paper towels which ends TODAY make a pretty sweet deal with coupons and $5 off for 5 items purchased? Get a $5 catalina.   That would make each pack $3.99 right???  May be a hot item to post since it is time sensative!

    • Wouldn't the catalina for viva paper towels which ends TODAY make a

    • germangirl

What is the $5 catalina for?

      • There was a catalina for Viva paper towels.  Buy 3 or more of the 6-packs and get a $5 off your next order.

    • hannah

Has anyone else ever ran into the problem where when you try to print a coupon off of coupons.com website that was linked to southernsavers and then it says you have already reached the max # of prints..even though that was the 1st time you even clicked on the link and you had NOT printed ANY? This keeps happening to me. Thanks in advance

      • Lorannclark

sometimes there are only so many coupons available total (for everyone) and the max available for everyone has been met even if you havent' personally printed any of them.

    • Djbcoupons

I'm new to couponing, and am trying to find a site that lists deals for several stores in my region. I had a rather disappointing Sunday after I spent considerable time going over circulars for Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens on some sites only to find out that that 30 percent of the deals (the good ones) weren't available in my area for this week. :( I live in Lexington, Kentucky. Where can I find that type of information? Also, if I get a coupon from Kroger that is for a brand name item like Tampax, is that considered a store coupon, or is it a manufacturers coupon? Just trying to figure out when I can stack coupons together to maximize my savings.

      • cahugh4

        Hello DJBcoupons,

I am also in Lexington, KY. I was very upset about Rite-Aid not having the Lysol Automatic hand soaps on sale this week. However most of the deals posted here on southernsavers.com match up with what is on sale in Lexington. Walgreen’s will only put certain colors, sizes or variations of products on sale/clearance, so I sometimes I problems getting Walgreen’s deals. Such as when the Revlon Match foundations were on clearance, our Wags here only had the Soft Ivory color on clearance and not any of the other ones. We receive most of the SS coupons listed on here, but usually not the Redplum ones (our Redplum kinda sucks).  Manufacturer’s coupons have a barcode number that begins with a 5. Kroger’s store coupons will typically at the top of the coupon say “Store Coupon”. For example we received a Kroger insert in our SS in the Herald Leader from Sunday. The ones that were store coupons say store coupon on the top and the others say manufacturer’s coupons.

      • Kratie00

I am not sure about the Lexington KY info, but as far as whether it is a manufacturer coupon or store coupon, look at the top where the expiration date is and usually it will say Store Coupon or Manufacturer coupon. You can also look at the barcode on the bottom of the coupon. Most manufacturer coupons have two things that look like barcodes and the one on the left will have a number that starts with a 5. Store coupons usually only have one barcode (if any – most Publix coupons don't have a barcode) and it will start with a different number – like the ones in this past Sunday's paper start with a 1.

      • Guest

The coupons you get from Kroger in the mail are really manufacture cpns. As for stacking whether you have a kroger cpn and another Kroger does not allow.

    • Southerndawn84

The snuggle coupons are gone :(

    • Bonnie

Heads up if you are buying diapers for the Mega deal… Huggies Snug & Dry size 1 is not part of the event. The other Snug & Dry sizes are. I can't figure this out but size 1 will not count.

    • dj in ga

I missed the CVS Coke deal last week, but local Kroger (30240) has 12pk 4/$12.00 through 6/18.

    • Couponmom

Hi…I love love love your site!  You have it totally going on!  I have used it a couple of times and spent a lot of time preparing for my shopping trip.  Only to realize that you must be in a different region than I am.  From what I can figure out, Plano Texas (Dallas) is in the Southwestern Region.  I don't this this site is where I need to be?  My question to you is do you, or anyone reading know of a similar site that will help me as much as you do for your fans…..I want to be a fan!  I have spent more hours on your site then you will know, me either….a lot!   I do use your Walgreens match up's but I mainly shop Kroger, Walgreens….any ideas of other sites in my area?  Thank you so much…..Laura (www.couponmom@mail.com)  Take Care

    • Mamakej

I had a very disappointing trip to Kroger's (Houston). Their huggies wipes were 2.49 and not 1.49. I even tried to buy 5 to see if that was the way to get the deal, but it didn't work. Their huggies jumbo diapers were 9.33 and not 7.99.

      • Suzanne0574

the sale might not have started yet…in MS the Krger sales run WED-WED but you can shop the sales on Tuesday with the prior weeks sales…So if your Kroger runs wed-wed they would not have been on sale until today…go back and chk

        • Mamakej

thanks I will go back to check

    • Melissa

Does anyone know the size for rice krispies or corn pops that are on sale for $1.99 wyb 5?  My ad doesn't change till Thurs. and the 18 oz. boxes are 2.99 now.  I'm wondering if they will raise the price of these for the sale or if they are already priced. Thanks. -Melissa

    • Porkchop2001

Okay, I am new to couponing and still learning, so forgive me if this question sounds stupid.  I asked my hubby to ask his brother this question since his brother works at Kroger, but he forgot.  I noticed the Blue Bell Ice Cream is B1G1, so I am wondering if they will ring up half price and if I can use two $1.00 off coupons?  Thanks for any info.

      • Guest

No they will not ring up half price. They will ring up full price then at the end of the order a full price will be taken off. To be able to use both dollar offs you would need to purchase 4 ice creams. Kroger policy is if an item is free there is nothing to take off that item. Hope that helps.

        • Jessica

hmm, must be something that varies by region. At my Kroger (Atlanta) bogo items normally ring up half price and you can use 2 coupons.

          • Tiredmommyof8

I am in the Atlanta area too and this is how my stores work as well. So it depends on where you are because on BOGO items I use 2 coupons as they ring up 1/2 off for me.

            • Brandylewis01

Im in TN and they both ring up 1/2 price so I can use 2 coupons.

      • trianglemom

Im in the mid atlantic Kroger region and B1G1 rings up half price, so I can use 2 coupons on a bogo.

      • Michele

Used to have a Nun in grade school tell me no question was a dumb one if you didn't know the answer so…………….

Yes you can use 2 coupons since they ring up half price!

      • Suzanne0574

one should ring up the full price ad the other will show the credit for the free one and YES you can you 2 coupons since you have 2 of the item!!

    • Aagreen214

I am also new to this and have a question about Kroger. Do I give them my card first to scan or paper coupons first? Or do I wait until all items have been scanned to give them my card?

      • Brandylewis01

Once I wasn't paying attention and the cashier didn't scan my card intil after the coupons and I didn't get my doubles. All I had to do was go to service desk and they refunded me the money for the doubles. I don't ever put nothing on my card unless I plan to use it for that trip so it doesn't cause any confussion!!

    • Jen-e-mac

I am in central MS and there were no coupons in the 06/12 SS for Huggies Wipes or Diapers. Very dissapointing!

Same here in North AL. :(

I had a great cashier today.  She said that if I will give my plus card last then it is possible to receive credit for both ecoupons and paper coupons.  A cashier can override the register if you give the plus card first but not all cashiers will do it.

      • Sandy

Your coupons will not double if your Kroger card isn't scanned first.

        • 3GAKids1521

Are you sure about that?  it is Kroger store policy, I thought, with or without the card to automatically double coupons up to .50 cent if you live in an area that doubles.  I am checking on that now.  Besides that, if she gave her card last, then her coupons would double if they are manufacturer's coupons regardless.

          • Val

Why are people still trying to use an Ecoupon and a manufacturer coupon together? It's against store policy!!! WOULD YOU USE 2 PAPER COUPONS ON ONE ITEM?

            • Sandy

To add: ecoupons and mfg paper coupons were never supposed to be used together. Kroger's registers just weren't able to catch it before.

          • Sandy

I'm 100% sure about it. Maybe it varies by region– I live in Savannah. I'm not alone though. If you google “scan kroger card double coupons” you'll see several post of people having this very problem.

        • Kaliemp

I ALWAYS scan my Kroger card last… and my couponsa ALWAYS double. I do this to make sure that i get credit for the paper coupon and not the ecoupon just in case i have one of both.

I'm hoping the Cars 2 merchandise will be a good price since my almost 5 year old is having a Cars themed party next month!  Otherwise, not very many good deals, kinda disappointed in Kroger lately.

    • DuannaD

Just finishing shopping at Kroger.  New to couponing.  Had a 50/1 coupon for NestleQuik and I bought a pkg that has 7 servings and 25% less sugar for 19 cents.  Also, they had Field lunch meat 10/10 and I had 5- 50/1 so, I got 5 pkgs of lunch meat free.  Overall, between my plus card and coupons I saved 50 pct.  Can anybody tell me if that is good for a first timer?

      • Mel

That's great!  Don't be fooled by that dumb couponing show into thinking that you're going to save 95% on your weekly grocery bill.  I've been doing it for over a year and I average about 55-60%.  I consider that a success!  Way to go!

      • Dtcox

yes very good ///// go slow take your time and buy food and what you need im up to 71 percent now took about 3 months to get the hang of it and stock up what i need and use good luck have fun

      • Dtcox

ups sorry i do not do this good every week i love it when im 50 percent some weeks

      • MomThom

That's great, and like someone else said, when you see 'the show' you tend to see people buying tons of particular items, and only rarely do you see them buying milk and produce- the things you really can't stockpile. At some point, we all have to buy those things, so 50% is awesome! Give yourself a pat on the back!

    • Suzanne0574

Im in central MS and the Kroger in my town has the 72count huggies wipes on sale for 99 cents….we didnt get the wipes coupons but I still bought several bc that is such a great deal!!!

      • Robyn_luffman

great deal had the coupon which made them FREE…baby wipes don't go bad!!!

    • memphisaver

I live in Memphis. Is that the midatlantic or southeast region?

      • laBreeze

I'm curious about this too.  I printed from each of the produce lists and none of them matched up with my Kroger.  I'm between Nashville & Knoxville; no clue what region that's supposed to be.

    • Mrsdaniel

Went to Kroger last night. All I wanted was ONE bottle of A1 Sauce!!! Just ONE!! Thank you shelf clearers!!!!!! So frustrating.

      • Dtcox

bet they have seen the coupon show ha ha

    • Sandrafadeley

They have field hotdogs and lunchmeat on sale for 10/$10.  In the ss 6/12 there was a coupon for .50 cents which will double making them free.

    • Sherirs04

Our prices are higher on most of the items here in Houston.  :(  So, not only did they stop doubling and tripling, they jacked up our prices too.  Its not like we make more money here!

      • Dtcox

sorry about that hope ours dont quit //////////////// we only have double .50 and under in v a it helps

    • laBreeze

The last couple of weeks these Kroger lists have not been matching up with my Kroger in Tennessee at all.  I've made lists, collected my coupons, printed it all out, head to the store, and whoa!  The stuff is not the same price/deal.

      • Dtcox

most the time in v a they are the same jenny has once in a while a item will be different are a little cheaper or higher .

    • Shavon

    • AleciaRN1

I was in Kroger (st. andrews/irmo SC) and the cashier told me that they ONLY accept TWO printed coupons for like items…is this a new policy? I have never had this problem before….?

Also I asked for  Rain Checks on several items and the customer service personnel made me specify which flavors I wanted…and wrote them at the top of the Rain Check…is this a new policy too??? When I inquired I was told “well we aren't out of them all…”

    • Ms_jenijac

I just got home from Kroger (mt juliet, tn) and had the same problem, told me that they would only accept 2 internet printed coupons for an item, even though they had different “scan numbers” and exp dates on them.  I asked for a manager, she allowed them this time but said their policy had changed AGAIN…i had problems with kroger last week also, so looks like im gonna stick with publix from now on.  you know i could understand if i was hoarding items, but was only trying to use 3 coupons on 3 boxes of raisin bran.
plus to make it even worse the cashier i had was extremely rude about the situation and actually snatched the reciept off the register and shoved it at me, geez you would think i was making him pay for my groceries!!  I have learned my lesson, kroger has lost my business

      • AleciaRN1

Sorry about your bad experience!…I was trying to purchase 4 Blue Belle Ice Creams (B1G1) and four printed $1 off, (with different codes and exp. dates)…my cashier was very helpful and even suggested/offered to do two transactions…

But I am definitely sad to hear about using ONLY 2 like printed coupons…especially when they have a super good mega deal!!!

    • Lcohenrn

Nice n Easy Hair color normally $7.39 use a $3.00 off coupon and get $3.00off your next order coupon at check out makes it $1.39 each!!  Love this deal.

    • jessc5

If any of you have the CARS 2 codes (found on packaging of the items in this sale), and you do not want them, would you mind emailing them to me?  I'd really appreciate them!

      • MomThom

I've got 15, if you want to give me your email, I'll forward them to you:)

        • Joyce

I would love some CARS 2 codes, too. If anyone else has any.
          Thanks so much!

I am REALLY trying to understand couponing. Kids are grown so we do not buy ice cream, snacks, chips, soda, cereal etc…  Looking for coupon savings on paper goods, cleaning products, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, meats, and basic “meat and potato” meal items etc… A great job opportuniy for someone would be for them to offer to show how to find coupons and go to the store with a new couponer a few times to show how it is done in real life. Know of anyone who offers this service?

      • Jane

IMHO – keep it simple and there is not much to worry about – the basic idea is to buy the item only when it is on sale and you have a coupon for it and to buy enough at that price to last you until the next time it goes on sale (usually every 4-6wks) and to be consistent each week until you have built up your stockpile.  It will take a couple of months, but then you coast between sales and live off of your stockpile in between… but, that being said, you probably won't be able to get many discounts on basic meat and potatoes (unprocessed) food items unless you are also buying the processed food items.  If I were you, I would look for giftcard deals when you buy your cleaning/toiletry supplies and then use those giftcards to buy the meats and potatoes (only when they are already on sale, of course).  It really does work and once you get going, it is so nice to be able to take weeks off where you just have to buy perishables.

If Krogers has something on sale 2/$5.00.If I only buy 1 it should ring up $2.50 for the 1 item,Right?I'm just asking because I bought an item that was on sale for that and when I got home and glanced over my receit I was charged $3.99 for the item which was the regular price on shelf tag behind  sale tag for 2/$5.

    • Couponmom

Do these apply to Dallas, Texas area grocery stores?

    • Stephy_B

Surf powder detergent (40 loads) was on sale for 2.99 – used my newspaper coupon for $1/1 and got it for 1.99 as well, got 3 All and 2 Surf, good day for laundry!
