Kroger Logo

Here are all the deals in the Kroger ad starting 8/28 in most southern regions. There is a new Mega Event this week, this time only on Procter & Gamble products, it makes for a few good deals.  I’ve updated the list with all the participating P&G items.

With Kroger remember that everything varies greatly by region and city, please check your ad for exact prices and deals. I have tried to note every item that I noticed that had variations in price, but can’t catch them all.

If you see any other deals leave a comment and I’ll update the list.

The Wisk Laundry Detergent was on sale at my Kroger Litha Spring Ga. for 2.99 I used the $2 off coupon made it .99 a good deal for me….

    • Kelly Maxwell

Is anyone else having trouble logging into your account on the Kroger website?  I have even reset my password and it still won’t let me sign in!

      • I did the same thing…having the same problem. Glad to know it’s not just me. Must be something with the site.

      • Anonymous

It must be down because it still doesn’t work

      • N

I just logged into the website and I didn’t have any problems.

    • Anonymous

Just a heads up for any neewbies out there…you can’t use the Kroger eCoupon on the Gillette body wash because the price has to be more than the eCoupon to come off. I’ve learned this in the past.

      • Really? Then what is the point?  The KC Masterpiece coupons are the same way.

        • Anonymous

I don’t know why they won’t adjust E’s the same way they do paper coupons to match the item price…they just won’t.
I’ve been using E’s for a year or two and they have never once deducted one if the sale price was less than the coupon value. Once they released a great E for $3, I went to the store the same day and the item was on close-out for $2.89 making that E completely useless. I remember dozens of folks complaining on different sites that they had to return the item because that E wouldn’t deduct for anyone.

    • can you combine a manufacture coupon with the Kroger eCoupons?

      • Anonymous

        Unfortunately no… :(

    • Anonymous

So hypothetically speaking, if i buy 4 gilette body washes (use my 4 $2.00 coupons)-I will get $4.00 off instantly because of the mega event promo-so since the body wash will be free after my coupons, I will make $4.00?  I believe my Kroger only allows you to buy 3 same at a time though.  I wouldnt care, I have more body wash to last me forever…i just give mine away when its free.

      • jen

1.99 is the price after the $4 mega discount.

    • Anonymous

The Kroger that is close to me is 24 hrs. If I go tonight at 12:00 , Do I get these sale prices? I heard some start Sunday morning at 7:00.

      • Anonymous

Every week my sale paper says on the front page
these prices good Sun 7am to Sat midnight.

        • Anonymous

Thanks, I haven’t noticed it before, Have a great day !

          • Actually, the store near me that is 24 hours stated that they process the daily report at 12:30AM and the computer will have the new prices an hour or 2 after that.

So, according to the store, they will adjust your order for the new prices in the ad.
It’s a pain, but I did it just last week.

Since the computer does ring up the old prices, you can get the previous week’s deal until early in the morning and get the new ad prices.

However, I have not seen the “prices good Sun 7am to Sat midnight” in the ad. How does that work if you go in at 12:05am on Sun morning?

Interesting question, right. Anyone have an answer?

    • Can you use an Upromise coupon with a manufacture coupon?

      • Anonymous

Upromise is not really a coupon….you load the e-coupons to your card(s) that you have registered with Upromise – when you purchse one of the products on the list for that month, it gets deposited in your Upromise accont – not taken off at the register, so yes, you can use a coupon at the same time.

    • Christine Ruhlman

So is the P&G event the same as other mega events, where you can buy multiple products in 4 product increments and get the $4 off each time?  Thanks!

    • So i have a quick question…. how do you go about getting the kroger booklet with the coupons in it??? because i have never seen them before

      • Anonymous

Call Corp and make sure they have your card on file and your address is correct, etc… It is based on what you buy and how much you spend.

    • Anonymous

Does Kroger allow overage? I do not shop there too often. I have 2$ off coupon for bodywash, just wonder if price 1.99, if they will take it?

      • My Kroger in Peachtree City, Ga does not.  Not sure if its just mine or all Kroger’s.

      • Guest

depends on your store you have to try to see

      • It’s been awhile since I’ve been to mine in Columbia, SC….Anyone in that area know if the Gillette will be okay to use? Like i said, it’s been awhile….I don’t want to get up there if they aren’t going to take them. I don’t have a big list as it is, so don’t want to waste my time…

      • Anonymous

I think the way it works is that the price for the body wash will ring up $2.99 initially.  Then when you buy 4 participating P&G items -the computer will deduct $4 from your total bill.  This $4 doesn’t usually ‘attach’ to specific items.  So using a $2 coupon should be no problem….since the item cost more than $2.

At least that is how my Kroger does the mega events/special events where you buy a certain number or products to receive a specific discount.  Hope that makes sense!

      • Anonymous

When I use a coupon for more than the amount, they usually do not do overage, but do give me the item free.  I guess they keep the rest.  At least its only a penny on your coupon.

      • Anonymous

        No overage.
If you have a paper coupon for $1.00 and an item is on sale for .75 you only get .75 off.
Even with stores that double, if your coupon is .50 then on that .75 item you would get .50 for the coupon then only .25 for the “doubling”. Receipts don’t say “doubled” any more, they say “bonus” coupon. The register auto adjusts the amount so it can never exceed the item price.
Ecoupons are different, the coupon HAS to be higher than the item price or it won’t deduct at all.

        • Ah, but isn’t that considered coupon fraud? I believe so. For example, if I present a $2 coupon but the item is $1 and the store only gives me $1 off, but then redeems the coupon with the manufacturer for $2…. I believe the store is committing coupon fraud. I know a lot of stores do this – only to the item’s cost, but that is NOT how it is supposed to work.

i.e. To the dealer: Frito-Lay will reimburse the face value of this coupon plus 8 cents for handling…

So, the store gets reimbursed $2 but the customer doesn’t really get $2 off.
I ask again, is it not coupon fraud? I suppose it is better than them denying accepting a coupon that is more than the cost of the item…

At Frys, a Kroger affiliate, they state in their policy that they will take it at face value but the overage must be applied to another purchased item. In other words, if you get $1 overage, they will not give you cash, but will apply the $1 overage to another item in your cart.

          • Anonymous

I’ve always considered it fraud, or at least sketchy.
But I just read the fine print on coupons from several manufacturers and they all say ‘we will reimburse face value + a handling charge’. None state that it matters if the store price is less than the coupon value. Or that the customer should be credited the difference. Or anything else. So I guess it’s not actually fraudulent. Just more profit for Kroger. You’d think they’d want all customers using as many coupons as possible since they get the overage. Instead they are rapidly becoming the chain that’s the most antagonistic toward couponers.

      • Anonymous

      • My Kroger does overage. The Febreeze noticeables warmers were on sale for 1.89 and I used 3.00 coupons. It took the whole $3 off.

    • Guest

So if I use my $2 off coupon for the bodywash can I still use the new coupon for the free deoterant with purchase of a bodywash

      • Anonymous

Yes because one is for the bw and one is for the deo. HTH

      • Anonymous

I tried to use a $2.00 off coupon on a body wash with a b1g1 coupon at kroger.  They said no, I could not.  I tried to explain that one coupon applies to each item, but they said no.  The cashier asked their manager and they said no as well.  I know some stores allow it, such as cvs.  But my kroger would not.  So they may allow it with your coupons, or they may not.

        • Anonymous

I don’t think cvs allows it anymore either.  I think most stores have quit letting you do that. :(

      • Anonymous

I read somewhere that a coupon ending in “01” means it is coded to allow this, whereas one ending in 14, 15, or 16 will beep if you try this. I believe the B1g1f deoderant/bodyawsh ended in 01. I tried it tonight (we are not on the 4/4 p&g sale yet, but the clinical deoderant was part of the mega still going on here), and it worked without a hitch.

ok… how does the ecoupons load to ur kroger card work when u have manf coupons for the same item. Can they b use together or can u choose one over the other??? For example ecoupons don’t double, but I have a paper coupon that will for the same item. I would perfer to use the paper coupon so that it will double. Does anyone know??

      • Anonymous

You’re right that the ecoupons don’t double and now Kroger has made it to where you can’t use ecoupons and paper coupons at the same time.  So, if your paper coupon (doubled) is better than the ecoupon that will not double, use the paper coupon.  However, it’s important not to load the ecoupon.  Otherwise, when you scan the Kroger card during your purchase, that will be the coupon you receive because it’s an ecoupon.  Make sense?

        • Anonymous

Right, the cashier has handed me back many paper saying I can’t use it because an E already deducted for that item.

Some ecoupons have a remove button but some don’t. I don’t load any that are less than $1 unless it’s a product that rarely releases paper Q’s.

    • Anonymous

The Kroger ad says that the $4 savings is on the non-P&G items in your purchase. Does that mean that I have to have at least $4 in other items for every 4 P&G items I want to get or will it be like the mega event where Kroger just takes the $4 off instantly?

      • I was wondering the same thing! I don’t want to go down there for nothing, b/c I only want P&G items!

    • Anonymous

You have to use the e coupon it it is loaded, they don’t let you pick.  So if you don’t want to use it, take it off your card before you go to the store.

Just a heads up to check expiration dates on clearance bin items. Much of the time it’s a few months away….but today at my store they had numerous packs of gum that all had a exp date of 12/14/10! ewwww, and only at ½ price too.

      • Cecelia B

I have had huge problems with this at my Kroger.  I found cheese that had expired 6 months before and I always have problems with my produce going bad very quickly.  I will only go to Kroger for non grocery items or if I know I am going to use a fresh item immediately and have enough time to look at each expiration date.  I complained several times and it never got better so I shop mainly at Publix now.

    • Taylor Tidbit

found that out the hard way- LOL…thoght I was going to make 0.12 but didn’t

Our Kroger in Dallas GA has InfectiGuard Instant Hand Sanitizer on clearance for .50.  Great item if you still need it for school and flu season is just around the corner.

Which is a better deal this weeks on the Old Spice body wash’Gillette stuff:  Kroger’s sale with coupons or Walgreens sale with RR’s and coupons….?

      • Anonymous

Well the Gillette body wash is normally $ 3.29 at walmart. If you use the $2 off coupon you make .01 cent. I would choose the GIllette. Not sure on the Old Spice. I only had Gillette coupons.

EARLY BIRD ALERT! My Kroger in store signage said buy 4 Dawn for $1.50 each, but the ad says buy 4 get them for $1.99. I was the first to notice the difference. I got one bottle free (store policy when there’s a price discrepancy) and three for 1.50 each THEN the cashier took off all 4 of my coupons. final price: 25 cents each.  Check out your signs!

I hope you left some for other shoppers- I hate it when someone wipes the shelves clean.

      • How were you able to get the dishsoap that cheap?  I thought it was $.99/each after coupon

I’m wondering the same thing. I paid $.99 on mine.

I am sorry that your actions are getting attacked by people who don’t you or your motives
I think its great you did what you did. We have been collecting men’s body wash for the homeless in our town (B/c I kept finding deals all year and my DH doesn’t use that much)
            Congrats to you!
Please don’t the ugliness of some of the comments get you down. Some people are angry at the world and are always looking for a new target to blame.
            Again congrats!

I wanted to apologize for the comment I made the other day. I went through my normal routine of purchasing a few papers, clipping the coupons, and then arriving fairly early on the day of the sale to discover the shelf had been cleared. I didn’t intend to attack you personally, but it was very disturbing reading your posts about the quantity of items purchased that day without knowing your intentions. You shouldn’t even have to explain your plans for the product. I jumped to the conclusion that you were just another bragging shelf-clearer. It is certainly admirable of you to volunteer your time to get all those coupons, purchase the product, and ultimately donate it to help others. My only concern with people donating excessive amounts of product is that it takes away from other consumers that try to purchase a reasonable amount of the product with coupons, unless you pre-order which it sounds like you did. Even with pre-ordering, I still don’t see a store being able to accommodate the needs of both the customer and those choosing to donate. Maybe they have impeccable inventory systems that allow them to order infinite amounts of inventory so that it benefits both parties mentioned above, but I have hesitations about that.

          • THANK YOU for pre-ordering!!!! :)

      • Anonymous

This is why our shelves are always cleaned out.  Please tell me why someone needs to get 45 of something.  Maybe your store had 100 of these but seriously, It is so frustrating when I go in to get 1 or 2 of something and they are all gone because of people who do this.  I say shame on the stores for allowing this to happen.  Enjoy your soap.  Don’t mind the rest of us, we’ll just grab our 1 or 2 when the sale comes again next month.  (If we can get there before you do)

      • Anonymous

Hope you are clean after all of that soap, since you didn’t leave any for anybody else.  People like you are the reason that stores dislike couponers.  Even if you donate the stuff.  I have a super hard time getting to the store, only to have people like clearing the shelf!

      • Anonymous

      • This is so not within the “southern savers” theory of get enough to last till the next time it goes on sale.  I am all about stocking up but 45? Will you get 45 more when it comes back around in 8 weeks or so?  I guess it is just irritating because stores are starting to not accept coupons because of this and we are getting portrayed badly because of it.

      • Anonymous

First off, ditto what the others have said. Seriously?!?!?! Ever heard of moderation? Sure, people like to stock up, but this is ridiculous. Have a blast using those 45 body washes you had to have, and don’t bother to complain in the future when strict rules are placed on coupons. When coupon policies start to change, don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back!

        • Anonymous

Can you guys read? She is donating to churches…..You guys need to lay off….maybe she should have had the store order it, but you live and learn….people need to play nice!

      • um…way to leave some for other people. this is why stores hate coupon users.

        • and this is why some people can’t stand to post what they got on here cause people criticise them like little kids

      • Thanks for leaving some for the rest of us.  Have fun with those 45 body washes.

        • She will. and they will smell good to:)

      • Anonymous

People like you is the reason kroger is changing their coupon policy!!!!! I just want to personally THANK YOU for making the rest of us suffer cause you are so rude!!! That is all it is RUDENESS. I hope that you have 45 people in your house that needs a bath. It would have been nice for someone else to get a couple of body washes. I know the deal was to hard to pass up, but believe me you can pass it up. Only excuse for buying that many is if you are going to be donating them. Thank you.

        •  I agree with this…but with the donating part, I still think contacting the store first and telling them “hey,  I want 45 of these to donate. can you please order extra?” would have been great

          • Anonymous

I know I meant to go back and edit me comment to state that with that many ask the store to order it for you.

          • Maybe you need to read the whole post because I’m pretty sure she did call ahead! If I recall correctly she called ahead and got her order from the back. Didn’t even touch the shelf!

        • At least they will smell clean! and not stink like your attitude does! If she didn’t want to pass it up then she don’t have to. If you buy a paper with coupons in it then why not USE them? Pretty dumb if you buy a paper and not use it….. If she can pass it up then use pass it up and quit complaining cause you didn’t get your little body wash! You ever heard of a green piece of paper called a “RAIN CHECK”? People like YOU are the reason can’t stand to coupon sometimes cause of your garbage.. Let people buy what they want to buy and get OVER it!

      • Anonymous

Thanks to people like you, I went to 2 differnet Krogers.  I only wanted 1 body wash – 1!!!  I can’t imagine why in the world anyone would be selfish enough to buy 45 bathwashes.

        • Because she wanted to hear what you thought about her is why she bought 45 bodywashes! It looks to me that their are more than just 1 type of bodywash on the shelf? Correct! Yes, so needless to say you might have to spend a few more pennies to get something else. But get OVER THE FACT! IT is a free country the girl can buy whatever crap she wants to. Grow up

          • Anonymous

You seriously don’t see why buying 45 of one item and leaving NOTHING for anyone else to buy on the shelf?  You must be kidding.  I really can’t believe you are serious!!  And by the way, being a grown up has alot to do with knowing limits and respecting others and the person taking all the sale items, leaving nothing for others has lots of growing up to do.

            • She didn’t clear the shelf!!!! She preordered these items.. Last time I checked the Gillette Body wash didn’t say on the shelf you can only buy 1.

      • Anonymous

How awesome…I am happy for you!!! I went in with only four coupons to get ONLY four bodywashes for my entire household…Guess what? Not one @&^%$#(*&^ bottle of gillette body wash was on the shelf….THANKS to peeps like you for clearing the shelves and for being greedy and making all of us look like pigs when it comes to a bargain!!!! I hope your family smells great!!!!!!

Wow.  How ridiculous of you.  I haven’t been shopping yet, because OH YES I HAVE A LIFE and don’t drive around clearing shelves of the stores JUST BECAUSE on the first day of the sale.  YOU are a GREEDY, SELFISH being.  Have a nice shower.

I’m glad you got your 45 bodywashes! Wish I had that many coupons:) And to the idiots who post below. I believe if I read correctly she did call ahead and order. So who are you people to say what your saying and are making a big to-do over telling her she needs to order before so she don’t clear the shelve well it looks like that you don’t live with her in her house so you don’t know a single thing in how she got her products! Get a life! Leave the lady alone and grow up! (jealousy root of all evil)

            • Anonymous

“Wow How rude and ugly can you be?”  Posting this and then turning around and calling people idiots.  You seem like a very nice person.

            • It’s not rude and ugly .. It’s the truth. Sometimes it hurts. People are making accusations about this girl that are untrue telling her how selffish she is cause she didn’t leave any or other people and saying comments that she needs to call and order. Well if people would read before saying remarks that don’t need to be said then they would realize she did call.. I’m just sticking up for the girl. People don’t have to be so rude and say the things they say.

          • Anonymous

Guest, I hope you learned your lesson as far a posting anything except for special deals you may come across.  I got chewed out a couple of weeks ago for using ALL CAPS.  Yes I agree w/ pre-ordering.  I too donate alot when I can and God Bless you.  By the way, just quit reading any futher comments.  I won’t read any replys to this one.  I may not have completley learned my lesson at posting, but I have learned to try disregard the negativity.

            TO THE OTHER REPLIERS:
There are a lot of people who can not even get to the store to find the shelves cleared and I bet over half of the population of the world would trade places with any of us in a heart beat if they could and have these problems to worry about.  I know it’s frustrating at times but you usually get a lot farther with nice comments on how things should be done rather than being yelled at over 2 pages of post.  All of this angry being directed at someone might make them want to “CLEAR THE SHELVES”  even more.

        • Wow How rude and ugly can you be?
I hope you never ever, ever take more than you can use in one week. How wrong of you to call someone the names you did. You best need to think about any times you might have been a GREEEDY, SELFISH being. Because I don’t think everyone well YOU are perfect! Get over yourself.

          • Anonymous

I’m not the rude and ugly one, buying every thing off the shelf and “claiming” to donate it.  Seems like all the people who clear shelves always saying they are donating them….  I don’t buy more than my family uses in about a month, because it’s going on sale AGAIN in another 4-8 weeks!  It’s NOT a hard concept to grasp.  And yes, I’ve been told I’m perfect, so thanks for agreeing.

            • lol. that’s good you claim to be perfect! I only know 1 person that is. That’s beside the point. I’m just saying who are we to call someone out if she wants to buy 45 let her buy 45 and get over it. Yes it is rude and ugly to call someone greedy and selfish when you don’t know her intent and what she really did with it.

      • Anonymous

I wanted 2.  TWO.  The stock boy told me people were LINED UP at midnight to get body wash.  IT’S BODY WASH!  Play nice people, buy what you can use, not what you can use in your lifetime.

      • Guest

Im sorry if I affended anyone that was not my goal. I bought all that stuff to fill closets at local churches. The holidays are coming and If I can help Just ONE FAMILY with this stuff I will. Its not for a home stock pile. So far I have got enough to send food home with more than one family. Who were you going to use it on!

        • Anonymous

I’m all for helping but you really walk a fine line in your efforts.  I, like many others on here, only wanted 1 bodywash, and was shocked to see the shelves already cleared.  I also donate to local agencies, but like they’ve told me, bringing in just a few items is a huge help. No need to clean out the entire stock in your local store.

          • fine line? lol how many Krogers are there?  There are 4 within 20 miles of each other in my town. So needless to say if I wanted 1 just 1 bodywash I think I could find just 1. And also how many bodywash products are on the market right now? I think if the shelve was clear you probably could afford paying for a different brand.

            • Anonymous

Really? your advice is telling someone to spend the time & gas money to drive around 20 miles to try 4 different stores to get one item!! Or if the shelf is empty of the free ones just pay full price for a different brand?

            • I am saying there are plenty of Kroger stores around. Honestly how much more is another body wash? If at the most 2.00. All these people claim to want is 1 just 1. They are fussing about a lady “Supposedly Clearing the Shelve” .. when she didn’t..beside the point but they are mad cause all they wanted was 1. So yes, instead of getting mad and telling this girl what people think of her is crazy and if they just want one either get a RAIN CHECK and get it on your next shopping trip or spend a dollar and get a body wash. Is it that big of deal?

        • Martha Thomas

What about the “just ONE FAMILY” who went to Kroger on Sunday with their coupon but couldn’t get any because of you?  Don’t try to pin this on the folks you’re donating to.  It was your selfishness.

        • Anonymous

I think everyone is overreacting.  Maybe “medigrl1” didn’t understand the “coupons rules”.  She had good intentions and she will understand next time. I find it frustrating to find an empty shelf the day the sale begins but we have to admit it’s all part of couponing.  At least with Jenny’s site we can help educate people on the proper and polite way of couponing.  No need to bash people.

        • Anonymous

I’m glad you’re filling a local need, but next time pre-order.

        • Its not a huge deal.. lots of people are guilty of it. You just got caught is all lol. Pay no attention to the bullies who like to call people selfish. Just preorder next time :)

      • Anonymous

That’s pretty ridiculous.  I’d say next time, you call the store ahead to buy amounts like that.  I understand that you are donating to a church and helping families, that’s fine…but by helping the families you are taking away from other families but just grabbing them all. Kudos for your help, but you are walking a fine line between helping and being obnoxious.

      • Wow.  I can’t believe you posted this nonsense on a website that supports ETHICAL couponing.  I find it difficult to understand how selfishly clearing the shelves so that there is no more product for the rest of your community to buy is the Christian thing to do, even if your intent is to donate to a shelter.  You should order the product you intent to donate so that the others in your community may also be blessed by the free/cheap items in their households as well.  Next time you are in need of one or two items for your own household, a shelf-clearing glutton might just beat you to it.  Then how will you feel?

      • Anonymous

Guess there is no point in going to the store today…sounds like everything is gone. There are so many sales. It seems to me the best way to do it is get a handful at every sale, and then you will have plenty to donate without clearing the shelves all at one time.

      •  you ask if you could use the free deodorant q….  I was wondering did you get to use it?

      • Anonymous

So is everyone gonna be mad if she didnt use coupons she just went out and bought it to help others and cleared the shelf?  I cant imagine anyone would have ANYTHING to say if the shelf were kept stocked diligently.  When did becoming nasty and judgmental become part of ETHICAL couponing.  MMmmm makes you think. The truth is MANY people are couponing so get over IT! Calling ahead for large orders is a courtesy and would be nice for all to do.  Although this has been going on for so long now that the stores should have a handle on this by now.  Quanitities should be limited(reasonably)  and order should be made.  along with keeping up with the inventory.  Yes southernsavers ‘motto’ is to stock for 6 weeks.   So how far will your stockpile go when you have lost your job and cant find another. Your gonna wish that you had gotten 20 boxes of pasta when it was free not just 2 to last 6 weeks.

        • Anonymous

My husband has been unemployed for over a year. We recently started our own business…so not seeing any money coming in yet. I stockpile for maybe 6 weeks, and it is absolutely fine because there is always another sale coming. No need to stock up for years. There are shelf lives on things.

          • Anonymous

What a perfect point of view!  Any time we watch Extreme Couponers, my 10 yr old asks constantly, “how do they keep this stuff from going bad”. There is just no way anyone needs a stockpile the size of a small store.

Good luck to you and your husband in your new business

      • Anonymous

To Guest, I just want to apologize to you for my post. I did not know that you were filling pantrys at local churches. I am sorry for my comment. I guess the only thing I hope that you did was call ahead for that big of an order. Once again I apologize to you.

      • Anonymous

Just seems strange to me all these people who clear the shelfs  claim they are donating it!! There are people in need who do coupon but can never get the item becuase  someone has cleared the shelfs.  I for one will love it if the stiores place limits on the number of items allowed!!!

        • Anonymous

have you witnessed first hand someone lying about donating items?

        • Ever heard of a “Rain Check”

          • Anonymous

I am trying to use coupons that expire tomorrow so a rain check would be pointless. I’ve seen people post that their stores will sometimes allow an expired coupon with a raincheck but my store says no way. I’ll either find the product at Kroger today, price match at the Walmart next to kroger or I’ll trash my Q’s if it’s out of stock at both stores. I have no urgent need for bodywash so it’s not a big deal if I don’t get any this time.

            • Anonymous

FYI- I was talking to the asst manager at the Bilo in Chapin, sc  & she said when you get a raincheck & have an issue w/ the Q expiring soon, she writes on the raincheck to use Q even if expired & that it is not our fault the product was not in when the Q was in effect.  I love that store!!  You may ask the managers if they will do this.  Can’t hurt

      • Well you were probably the shelf clearer in SC that drove so many of us nuts because we couldn’t get any bodywash!  45 bottles…really???

    • Verna Kale

My Kroger in Midlothian VA had lost power last night and was still getting set up after Hurricane Irene.  Lots of dairy and meat products weren’t out yet and most sale items were not yet on sale (or at least the signs weren’t out, including many of the P&G deals).  The only sales activated consistently were the produce.

    • Anonymous

our krogers in morehead ky. has a new policy. It says the register will only take so many coupons. They have no set amout on items. I purchased 13 aussie and herbal essence shampoos hairspray and hair gel. it would only take 7 of my coupons. They tried to take off 6 items from my purchase it refused to allow them to take the items off. They were confused and so was I

    • I am wondering how this would work, I’ve never tried this and I’m not sure about the policy’s stance on this either…I have a coupon for $3 off a PG item that is part of the mega event, that is 2.90 before the mega sale, then 1.90 after.  If I went through self checkout and didn’t scan my card yet, then hand over my coupons, then scan my card after they deduct the coupon, would I get my items free (my store adjusts the coupons down so it would be 2.90 from each coupon) AND the $4 taken off my bill or what would happen?

    • Anonymous

Bad trip today. I went in to get a couple of items, including 4 of the body wash. As I was checking out, they said I was not able to use my coupons. The manager only lets 3 similar coupons and they’ve limited the coupons. I asked to speak to the manager because in the policy does not state a limit. Then manager comes up with a sour look on his face, and just stands there and stares. He doesn’t greet me, he doesn’t speak. So I begin, turns out he says that regardless of what the policy says he’s the manager and he can do what he wants. The policy doesn’t matter  if he doesn’t want to follow. I then explained that this is a secret rule that no one knows, and if he wanted people to take him seriously and enforce the rule, put out new policy and put it on the windows so people can know. He then got so mad and red that I thought his vain in his forehead was going to pop. He said that everyone should know without him telling them. So I said that if your going to enforce an unwritten rule then next time I’ll do 10 different transactions or however many transactions I want. Which caused him to stutter and walk off. Seriously mad. I will be price matching at Walmart from now on.

      • Anonymous

        That is appalling.
Strange that someone at another store can walk out with 45 of an item while you couldn’t get 4. Mind if I ask where this Kroger store is located? I’m hoping it’s nowhere near me . . .

And good job standing up for yourself. You are not being greedy and clearing the shelves, and you are using a valid, legal item for which the store will be reimbursed. Shame on that man!

        • Anonymous

Thanks emmycat! It was in middle Tn. The store has gotten to the point where it’s just terrible and they’ve hired the meanest people. It’s rare when we come out of there without some cashier/employee having some major attitude or throwing a fit on the spot when they have to go out of their way. I’ll call corporate tomorrow and see what they have to say.

          • Anonymous

oh no I just moved to mcminnville, and there’s only one store here, I hope it wasnt this store. I usually like shopping kroger!

          • Please let us know what they say.

            • Anonymous

They didn’t really care. I told them the story, I explained it to them, and I told them that Publix is much better. And ALL the lady said was “Mmm” and “Okay, I’ll let them know. Bye.”

          • Anonymous

I’m in Middle TN, which store?  I am in Mufreesboro and have not had any problems….yet.  Who knows what they will do next.  Sorry about your bad experience.  I hope you get some resolve.

            • I shop in the Boro as well, and they take whatever coupons I give them! No problems at all so far!

          • Anonymous

That’s incredible. Good thing they replaced that manager. Hopefully now the store will come up to the standard of all the other Krogers I’ve shopped at.

      • Anonymous

I think a lot of the stores have enforced a 3 coupon max. I actually don’t have a problem with it since it will help cut back on shelf clearing.

      • Pillow Family

I am sorry you had an issue like that at Kroger. I live in Madison, TN ( right outside Nashville) and my Kroger has been very helpful. I do self checkout and the cashiers even know my checkouts are about 20 minutes long and I always have coupons. However I have started shopping at Publix b/c of their great deals and fresher produce.
I would write corporate a letter. And include your family’s annual purchasing power at Kroger and now your family will only shop at their competitor.
Maybe that would help-if not. I would repeat this story to every person walking by.
Word of mouth is the best advertisement.

      • I thought the 3 Q max meant that they would only DOUBLE 3 like Qs, and that all other like Qs would be face value? You arent asking them to double like Qs, so IMO should be no problem!

        • Anonymous

in ohio is it three like coupons period.

Got a phone call from my store today. A new manager called, he apologized over and over and is in the process of letting others know about policy changes. He said that he was thinking 3 is a good idea to avoid shelf clearers. I said that Publix limits 10 items, so it’s not an insane amount if someone gets 10 but it’s still okay for someone to walk in and get 4 items. Which he said was a great idea and will bring up it up and it start making those changes and that he loved the limit of 10 more than the limit of 3. He also said that if I wanted to special order then they’ll take the coupons without limits. He’s going to be coaching the other manager so everyone can avoid this situation.

    • Stephanie Sibig

I’m sorry, i’m having a brainfart here, but you can still stack store and manufacturer coupons at Kroger, right!?   :)  Thanks!

      • Jennifer Glenn

Yes, but there are very few store coupons from Kroger and when there are they are normally for Kroger brands so you won’t have manufacturer coupons for the items.

      • Anonymous

Kroger doesn’t really have “store coupons” they have ecoupons but these are manufacturer coupons.

    • Stephanie Sibig

Yes, that’s what i’ve realized but something went right last time I went shopping (not sure what I did, wish I knew) but I had numerous manufacterer coupons printed when I checked out!  Weird!  Thanks for your response!!

    • Josh Davis

Is the ecoupon still available for the body wash? I can’t seem to find it.

      • Anonymous

there is one for $1 off

    • Amber Nickle

I am new to couponing but I have picked it up fairly quickly.. I found a great deal.. OXY face pads ( similar to stridex) at my Kroger they are on sale for 1.99 with Kroger card .. normally 4.49 . and If you go to your RP 7/31 they have a dollar off each..( THIS COMES TO 99 cents each!!!)

So i just saved myself some big bucks for something I already needed ( i ran out yesterday) and will continue to use.

    • Does anyone have diaper and/or wipes coupons that they would want to trade? I have several different coupons from this today’s p&g brandsaver that I am not going to use and would love to trade for baby coupons. I would be willing to trade the following:

    • Chrissy Greenberg

Can you get the $4 off deal more than one time (i.e. if I bought 8 items on the list, would I get $8 off)?

I went to Kroger today and forgot that I had a $1 tide kroger ecoupon on my card so I gave her my .50 paper coupon. I think both went thru. I thought the computer would reject the paper one. anybody else been able to use both?

I went to Kroger this morning in the Atlanta Area and I found that the 12 oz crab meat was still on sale buy one get one free! Its always my favorite deal because its the cheapest Imitation crab to buy when its BOGO. Also I got a suprise today on my soy milk (almond, vanilla and plain) all on sale for 1.98 per half gallon! that does seem expensive to you regular milk drinker but trust me this stuff is expensive!

    • Hi everyone,

I am new to couponing! I was wondering if anyone lived in or around Macon Ga area.  Maybe we could get together and maybe you could give me some tips and tricks to how to do this!  Thanks!

      • gardengirl

I grew up in Columbus but no longer live there.  I learned to coupon by watching Jenny’s videos that she has listed above.  Good luck and enjoy the game of couponing.

    • at my kroger in Zanesville, Ohio the Black and Decker toaster ovens are $19.99 with a mail in rebate which makes it free! So glad I waited to get one of these! Ill be using my savings from the mega event to purchase this :) can you say profit?

      • Hey, that’s my Kroger too! I love the Zanesville Kroger, they are always friendly and never give me any problems!

      • Anonymous

Where do you get the rebate for the toaster oven? I didn’t see one when I went this morning but they were on sale.

      • Anonymous

Would also LOVE to know where to find this rebate. I tried to google it and came up empty handed. Any help is greatly appreciated!

      • pdsmama

Where did you find the rebate?  It is onsale this week, and would be a steal.

      • Shopperrebecca

It is still on sale at my Kroger, but no sign of the rebate by the ovens or the beer.  I even asked at customer service and they didn’t know either.  ;(

    • Just curious…how are people getting more than 4 like items at a time when the P&G coupons say, “Limit of 4 like coupons in same shopping trip?”

      • Anonymous

Seems they are simply “lucky” to have stores that let them get away with their blatant disregard of  the coupon usage rules set by the manufacturer and clearly stated on every P&G coupon. Let your conscience be your guide.

        • OR they are splitting up their transactions….

    • This website was made to help each other save money! And look at all the feuding! I believe if someone pays for all their papers— then they deserve to get whatever the hell they want off the shelf! Whether it’s for you and your family or your church pantry– MORE POWER TO YOU!! Happy shopping! u payed for it!!!

if i had 4 coupons for $2.00 off gilette bodywash, which makes them free….i will still get $4.00 overage (aka, i will need filler items to make this up?)

      • Anonymous

The Gillette bodywash coupons works for the old spice bodywash also.

        • Anonymous

works how.  does it say on the coupon that it can be used to also buy old spice or am i to assume u just  used a coupon fraudulently.

          • isnt old spice branded by Gillette? what I mean is like the same company?

            • Anonymous

2 different lines of body wash and both owned by P&G. As far as I know.

      • The 1.99 price is AFTER the $4 savings.

    • Anonymous

I always read about people pre-ordering large quantities of items to use with coupons.  However, when I asked my local Kroger about pre-ordering 40 bottles of Gillette so that I could donate it to a homeless shelter I was told they don’t do that for coupons.  I was told to buy it off the shelf.  I’ve never had a need to pre-order anything.  However I don’t want to pass up an opportunity to be able to give to others.  I just left the store dumbfounded.  Not sure if I want to go back and try to pick some up tomorrow or not.  I am not and will not be a shelf clearer.  But I left feeling like that is what they told me to do.  Hate to let these coupons go to waste when they can help so many people.  What would you do if you were in my shoes?

      • Anonymous

I would buy some and leave some coupons on the shelves for others to pick up and use. I often leave coupons for others to use. Thanks for being so considerate of the other shoppers in your area.

      • Anonymous

Don’t the P&G coupons say limit 4 like coupons per transaction now? Maybe this is why they are limiting it.

      • Buy how many you want! That’s what is there for..

      • Anonymous

I really think the pre-ordering thing depends on your store. It has to because another person posted on here that a particular Kroger pre-ordered the body wash, dish soap, etc. for her to donate to a charity/organization. You might could try another Kroger if you have several in your area. I love kidd1’s idea of buying some and leaving some on the shelf for others. I’ve had random people come up to me in the store before and hand me cpns they weren’t planning to use. I was baffled by their generosity in the beginning, but it quickly made me want to return the favor to other shoppers in the store that probably need the product more than I do.

get a raincheck and talk to the manager over that department so that you can have the amount you need.

      • i tried to order some of the Nivea body wash some time ago when it was on sale and it never came in over and over, so i talked my the manager and told him i didn’t want to “clear the shelf” and he told me, if its there go ahead and get it, not to worry about clearing the shelf, but they never had enough for me to do it all at once so we split it up. I got some every cpl of trips I made and they would write me a new rain check until I got them all. (even after my coupons expired!) they were great about it here.
I too don’t want to be a shelf clearer, but I did notice that even after I left only 3 or so on the shelf, it was completely restocked the next day. So I guess it depends on the product.
All that to say, if I were in your shoes I would get some of it now. Some later and if  the sale runs out before you use all of your coupons, get a rain check. Develop a friendly relationship with one or two of the customer service ppl and they will bend over backwards to help you out…or at least at my kroger in rome they have. :o)

Can you get more than 4 items with this P&G mega event and still get the $4 off?  I know it has to be done in groups of 4 but, just wanted to make sure I didn’t need to do seperate transactions.  I didn’t do seperate transactions with their cleaning products mega event a while back and paid full price for most of my items. I just didn’t want this to happen again.

      • Anonymous

        yes

      • As long as you have multiples of 4, you can get more than just four.

    • Anonymous

i found a great deal …….for the  Pepsi Soft Dinks, 2 Liter, $1.29 eaBuy 4, Get 2 Free
(makes it 86¢ ea.)  i used the .55 coupon from store dispensor on the pepsi max.. and got the drinks for .31 a peice.

    • with the PG coupon stateing  Limit one coupon per purchase of product and the limit of 4 like coupons means I can still use other PG coupons like if i use 4 of the Dawn coupons in my transactions I can continue to use PG coupons…I’m getting confused LOL

      • Anonymous

It’s 4 “like” coupons so, you can use 4 dawn, 4 crest toothpaste, etc.

Had a good Kroger trip today, saved $83 dollars and only bought 4 of everything like normal people. Some mentioned the black and decker toaster oven has a mail in rebate. Anyone know anything about that? Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks. Happy Shopping!!

      • GaPixie  please share what you bought  when you save $83.00 please I am new and trying to learn how  I don’t have the monies to have someone to teach me by going to a class
thanks very much for your help in advance

I just bought the P&G products that I needed in groups of 4’s, some chicken on sale and a couple other really good buys you can find on the unadvertised deals page on this site. I also had a ten dollar off 100 dollar purchase Kroger sent me, make sure they have your address. Just learn to buy a few extra when its on a good sale. Shop every week and buy the paper. I buy 4 on the 1st Sunday of the month. Jenny has a good tutorial on this site. Check it out.good luck.

      • so if someone has a large family and buys more than 4 of everything does that mean they aren’t “normal”? lol

        • Anonymous

It has nothing to do with if you have a large family, it is following the rules of the coupons that say “only 4 like coupons” even if you can get away with it. NOT lol (laughing out loud)

Just left Kroger in Raleigh they have changed the coupon poilicy you can only use 5 coupons in one order. The Old Spice body wash and Gillette has a catch you have to buy 4 of the same fragrance to get it at 1.99 each. They also said that the febreeze warmer on sale for 1.70 and use the coupon for 3.00 they will only give you 1.70.

      • on the febreeze warmer I  bought some and it gave me the 3.00 dollars off.

ANNA Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to point out a couple of things to you. One you need to read my last post to Guest. I apologize to her for my comment. And you had put in one of you comments to someone that she pre-ordered the body wash, can you please show me that post. But what ever. The only point of the matter is I apologized to her. So what gives you the right to say anything to me about my comment or to anyone elses commments. It is people that clear shelves is what makes it hard for the rest of us to use coupons. People like YOU is the reason KROGERS or other stores are changing their coupon policy. I HAD GOTTEN OVER IT TIL YOU POSTED YOUR STUPID COMMENT TO ME.

      • Anonymous

may I ask who you were talking to

        • Anonymous

The person that was directed too is Anna. Some reason it did not reply to her comment she made to mine. She left a rude comment.

    • Has anyone been to the Woodstock Kroger this week? I’m wondering if they are sold out of the P&G stuff, whether I need to bother with those coupons or not. Thank you!

    • Ok there is a family in my neighborhood that wipes out the stores on the big sale stuff and then has a garage sale every other week selling the products, I didn’t think that was leagal?!?!?!

      • I meant legal, sorry

      • Anonymous

No, it’s not legal, but dishonest people do it anyway. :(   I actually think this is criminal behavior, as in I think they could be reported to the police for doing that.  I think it would technically be “theft by deception” or something because they are selling the items (I assume) for more than they paid for them.

        • Marie

Wish they wouldn’t buy out the store, but I don’t think it’s illegal.  Many people buy things and resell them to make money.  They buy, then flip or re-sell the items, cars, campers, dolls, toys, etc., to make a profit.   Good luck getting to the store before they do.  Maybe suggest to the store manager to put a limit on purchases.

        • No, To be honest with you I looked into it and was told its not. They are paying for it
and I guess helping people out in need. As long as they sell it lower than what the store
          sells it for.

      • Efranks41

        Report them!

      • In my city you can only have 2 garage sales a year or faced being fined, that could be something to look at.

        • Jes

wow that is crazy never heard of that before!? I live in AR and we can have as many as we want n I see a lot of people who do it in parking lots or on the side of the street…

      • wait… thats kinda like soliciting isnt it?

    • Anonymous

Found some $2 peelies on the Kingsford charcoal. The type was quite small and I thought it was the one listed above with WYB two other products. It’s just straight up $2. $3.99 is a pretty good price in my book! Just ran out of the two bags from when Lowe’s had BOGO on labor day. Perfect timing. :)
I have become quite the grill master this season — smoke and grill, but also roasting like an oven. Sweet potatoes are so sugary sweet when tossed to the side for the duration of a grilling session. Grilled pizza… oh yeah. Kids of all ages go nuts over it. Happy memorial day!

Anybody else noticing that the Bounce sheets in their stores aren’t marked for the Mega Event?  I’ve been to 2 different stores, and the dryer bars are tagged, but not the dryer sheets.  There haven’t been any associates nearby to ask, and I was in a rush, but the ads for these stores say that the dryer sheets should be included.  I have a $2 off any Bounce product coupon (from a box of Tide I purchased MONTHS ago) that I’ve been holding on to forever, and I’d like to use it on the sale-price Bounce sheets!

      • Anonymous

I haven’t look at it in store, but the deal says
Downy Fabric Softener Liquid 52 to 60 Load                                                                  or 1.92 oz Bar                                                                                                                                  or 105 to 120 count Sheets                                                                                                           but it also says products may vary by store. Just to test I would  take 4 products to cust service &  have them scan your card then the items to check,  then they can cancel the transaction.

    • I was just wondering if anyone else caught the disclaimer on all of the kroger sale ads.  the bottom reads that after you buy 4 p&g  products, then $4 comes off non-p&g items in your transaction.  If you haven’t seen this you need too!   it’s also on the kroger local ad in my n. atlanta area.  I will be honest, I am sure they did not intend to print it out to be this way, but since they did, I went all the way to store management to ask them honor what it said.  So I basically had 10 groups of 4 (not all the same items), which would be $40 off my total.  I know and even my husband told me, that’s not what they probably meant to say.  The store manager was very nice and COULDN”T dispute what the flyer said.  She rang me up and took 40 off my total.  I am grateful.

      •  That has been the wording in their ads for over a year now on the P&G sales.  No one knows why they word it like that.   I’ve checked out before with ONLY P&G items in my cart and never had any issues.

        • Anonymous

that is what I did also….it took the 4.00 off the P&G items

      • Anonymous

I only bought 10 items in Atlanta today, 8 P&G plus milk and meat.
My receipt shows a minus $1 event savings line directly under each of the 8 p&g lines. I see the wording now, but I didn’t buy 8 non p&g.

What I don’t understand though is I had 7 coupons, 6 went through fine but the last one kept telling the cashier it was rejected. All 7 were cut straight from the P&G inserts and no ecoupons deducted. 3 bodywash, 2 dawn, 1 secret, 1 febreze but the one rejected was the 2nd dawn.

    • *$4 savings is on the non-Procter & Gamble products in your
purchase. All purchases must be made in a single transaction.

THIS IS THE DISCLAIMER IN MY AD

      • Anonymous

Right next to it also says” save $4 instantly at checkout when you mix and match any 4 participation P&G products using your shopper’s card.”

    • sue

Britnee Sammons : Pls advise where you found the rebate. I can’t find it anywhere.

Britnee Sammons : Pls advise where you found the rebate. I can’t find it anywhere.

      • Laura

I tried searching google but all I found is that the rebate is provided by Anheuser Busch and you must buy a quantity of beer with the toaster oven to apply for the rebate. No one said how much beer or where the rebate form is. Probably in the beer section since AB is the sponsor. The rebate was reported to be good for a coffemaker or toaster oven.

      • its in the “savings in every aisle” section of my add. Its an Anheuser-Busch mail in rebate and the add says see store for details. Hope that helps!

    • Alison

has anyone looked at the tags to see the sale dates, I’m wondering if the P&G deal is going on next week too?

    • pickelsmagoo

So excited Took the kids to the dentist and they had Coupons. I priced them against kroger prices and will pay 30 cents for mouth wash and 10 cents for floss woohoo

      • savysaver

The dentist is great for coupons!   Amazingly our dentist said not many people take them and they go in the recycle bin. :(  Mine had $2.50/1 OB toothbrush sheets that had 8 Q on one sheet and $2 off any Reach floss which is only $1 most places.

        • Laura

sounds like I need your dentist…I went last week & all mine had were $1 off Sensodyne. That toothpaste costs $4-5 everywhere.

    • pat

Gillette or Old Spice Body Wash, $1.99
Wrong..its $2.99 or $1.99 if you buy 4….at the Kingsport TN. krogers…so it .99 cents with the $2.00 off coupon

      • Jessicaf844

Its not wrong , because she is posting the price after the savings if u were to buy four items.

      • Laura

        The $2 coupons expired 8/31.
The new coupon from the current P&G insert is only $1. So starting today it would be .99 with the $1 coupon and the $1 extra discount IF you buy 4 P&G products.

    • Krista

Does anyone know if the P&G sale will be next week as well? I called my local Krogers and she said they  have no idea of the sales till Saturday night.  If that’s true, then Jenny’s got some great insider working to get her the info early!  ;-)

      • Laura

They have flyers at my store with every participating product listed and it says event prices for 8/28 to 9/10.

Kroger “events” (mega, cart buster etc) always run 14 days.

    • Nicole

Does anyone know if there are any good cereal sales coming up? I am totally out

    • Jcopela5

scope is  2.99 at kroger not
       1.99
